Sceptical Husband makes his Own Choices

by Gustavo, UK

My wife Priscila was a student of Universal Medicine (UniMed) six months before me. In the beginning I reacted a lot to her new choices, and I had an arsenal to attack her with. How could our lives have changed so quickly? I thought that what we had before UniMed was a great life. How wrong was I!

My first contact with Universal Medicine was through a gentle breath meditation. One day I decided to give it a try. These ten minutes were huge for me. For the first time I connected to myself. I then decided to have a session with Sara Williams and that was really inspiring!

I continued my sessions and slowly started to build truth and real love with myself and my wife, and making choices in my life that were based on what my body was feeling. Alcohol, for example, was a poison. After a few months of sessions I had a glass of wine with friends. That was a marker for me – the next day I was very tired and had a fever. I then realised what my body was telling me is that it couldn’t stand the alcohol any longer.

So that was it, one more of the many choices that changed me based on what I was feeling. I am from Brazil, born into a very traditional, Catholic family. It was a little bit scary in the beginning, but then it was so easy to really feel the harmony that was being presented by UM.

There are some allegations that Universal Medicine is for women. Well, I am a man and I see a lot of guys attending the sessions, the workshops… I believe we all share the same opinion.

And, being a student for one year and a half I can say that the allegations that Universal Medicine is a cult are absolutely FALSE! I have never been told what to do, what to eat, what to follow… Serge Benhayon and his family never gave me a ‘to do’ list. I make the choices in my life, they only support me and I am very grateful for that!

  1. Gustavo what an inspiring read. You made your own choices, before you met Universal Medicine and after you met Universal Medicine. And you had something to compare this with; your body.

I could not agree with you more with being inspired, no one tells us what to do, except our bodies. It’s whether we are willing to listen to this or not, is the question.

  2. It needs to be something really true in Universal Medicine teachings for people to make the changes we make and be so confirmed through our body, as we indeed are by our ongoing deepening in what supports us.

  3. When I was young I disliked alcohol and the only way I could drink it was to disguise the taste with a sweetener like lemonade then I could drink it, but my body never stopped telling me how much it disliked having it in my body. I just used my mind to over rule my body because I didn’t want to be the ‘odd one out’ in social situations where everyone was drinking. Then on reaching 50 years old that was it, my body said absolutely no to alcohol and I have never had any since. I don’t miss it at all, my body feels so much better, I’m not tired and foggy headed and it saves me a huge amount of money. There have been so many positive outcomes since attending the Universal Medicine events, why wouldn’t I want to keep attending them?

  4. Thanks for your contribution Gustavo. Serge never tells anyone what to do, I noticed this at my first Universal Medicine workshop, in fact, he asked the audience to feel everything for themselves and discern the truth including what he was saying. That’s pretty unheard of for presenters. Serge also gives everyone space, what that means to me is there are no expectation or needs placed on attendees, just the space to be where we are, to me that is part of love as it has no conditions.

    1. A great point Melinda, when we are truly given space we are held in a very loving way that is totally accepting yet knows exactly the potential we hold.

  5. I’ve never been convinced or called to go to any workshop or presentation from Universal Medicine. There are no rules to follow in what Serge Benhayon presents, just a way of living that makes sense to me and brings me back to be more committed with my life, work, in my relationships…more than ever before. It is my choice to be part of it because the joy, the beauty, the steadiness and vitality that I can experience today is far different from how I was before. So thanks God for choosing wisely what feels right for me, regardless of what others may think.

    1. Inma that’s why so many people return to Universal Medicine workshops because we feel what Serge Benhayon presents makes sense, and when we try things out for ourselves we are able to make many changes that bring more love and care to every part of our lives.

  6. Gustavo just by reading your experience with Universal Medicine I can see an empowered man making his own choices in his own time. Far different from someone who follows blindly rules and is part of a cult.

  7. How beautiful to be open to what was on offer from Universal Medicine, but not do it simply because your wife or someone else said so. Your experience is the best marker to change things in your life, and our body is the most willing and clear communicator about our choices if we are willing to listen.
