I have Watched and am Now Inspired

by Sandhya Mistry, Brisbane, Australia

Today I was truly inspired by my partner of 26 years.

Over the past few months, I have watched while my partner and others have had to endure constant harassment on blog sites that a few disgruntled people who blame Universal Medicine for the break up of their relationships, have been writing on. They have blatantly told lies, have manipulated information to incite hatred, are constantly barraging them with insulting comments, and are now trying to ruin their professional reputations with completely unfounded allegations.

I have watched while she has been lied to by journalists to firstly obtain an interview, then be interviewed for up to an hour, to then only have one line manipulated to fit their story.

I have watched how the media have tried to threaten her with another false story to ruin her professional standing when she has objected to their behaviour.

I have watched while the media have portrayed women as being weak and unable to think for themselves, and being mindless followers of Universal Medicine’s founder Serge Benhayon, and tried to use my partner as an example of this.

I have watched the media and journalists tell lies about Serge Benhayon and his family, and label Universal Medicine and all who are associated with it a ‘cult’.

As I write I observe my partner’s reaction to everything that has happened. Even though there is a risk that her name, reputation, professional standing, family and business could be adversely affected, she does not change who she is and what she portrays to the world: she does not shy away from criticism or make herself inconspicuous, from fear of what the repercussions may be. Instead I see her stronger than ever before, more vocal in the truth of who she is, working tirelessly on her business which she now has even more passion for. I see her not be afraid of calling out what is not right with the media’s exploits and the trolling that is happening on these blog sites; and this is all done not with any anger or malice, but from the true love for humanity that she has.

So I am inspired! Inspired to be all of who I am, and not hide it away for my own self satisfaction or comfort. Inspired to call out when something is not right: for by saying nothing, I am condoning these lies or actions to be acceptable. Inspired to stand in my truth and allow the world to see this in all that I do.

  1. It is through our truth lived in its absoluteness that we herald what is true and expose the lies. At the end of the day you cannot deny that the quality of living from those who are inspired to live The Way of The Livingness is evident that there is another way to live which embraces self-responsibility and honors being guided by a connection to love and truth from within.

  2. Yes, I am inspired as well. To stand for truth and true love like Serge Benhayon does. This man is amazing, and I think I am in position to tell, after having studied and worked with the many of today’s worlds leaders and guru’s.

  3. The ability to keep your heart open when people lie or mistreat you is incredible, I have so much respect for people who can maintain steadiness no matter what – they essentially show us all how it’s done and that no matter what comes our way we don’t need to wobble.

    1. It sure does Meg, offer an amazing and inspiring reflection of how our true power is lived when we live in connection to and guided by our love, truth and inner-wisdom from within.

    2. There is nothing in life that supports us more in our ability to steer a steady ship than truth. It is rock solid in its support. An immovable force and one that is known intimately by us all.

  4. Someone not willing to cower from false accusations and lies is incredibly inspiring. Someone claiming the truth of who they are, knowing this is also the truth of us all, and never holding back from expressing this in incredibly inspiring.

  5. I love the appreciation you have for your partner, for her strength to stand up for what is not true, it’s such a beautiful sharing. Thank you

  6. Do we ever stop to consider how the way we are living may be affecting others? There is nothing more valuable than our innate ability to inspire ourselves and one another.

  7. Yes it’s very inspiring watching how people can stand in their truth and the truth being more important to express than worrying about the abuse that might come back at them.

  8. To stand strong amongst a barrage of lies and manipulation, and to stand up to them as well and to continue to bring more truth, power and passion to the situation and to life is truly inspirational. It is too easy to crumble against the pressures of life, and to resign ourselves to ‘that being just the way it is’.

    1. Yes, when people stand up to lies and manipulation, it shows me the power of truth and how much I love it and how ugly lies and deception, manipulation and corruption is – how we live with rot when we allow them to have a hold.

  9. It is inspiring when I feel and see another put themselves out there. Standing for the truth of all, and living with a purpose to give and express all that you are and know gives an abundance of joy.

  10. Thank you for pointing out that there is no good excuse to give up on truth — opposite to when you are being attacked on truth, this should be your motivation to actually bring more and stand more steady than ever before, this is what I am learning. And the connection to myself and what I know is truth, are my building stones..

  11. I have learned that one voice can make a difference and I can feel by you being inspired by your partner that your voice will now be heard. If one voice can, and does, make a difference then the difference many voices can make will naturally be huge.

  12. The power of understanding Sandhya, is just beautiful. It is power-full beyond measure knowing and observing that we are all love equally. If we are not love, who is controlling us? Going to the energetic truth of things exposes exactly where the source is coming from. We are conduits of energy and whatever we align to is what we will be.

  13. “I have watched the media and journalists tell lies about Serge Benhayon and his family, and label Universal Medicine and all who are associated with it a ‘cult’.” Yes, and it is still going on for some 6 years now. That those under attack have grown from strength to strength speaks for itself.

  14. Inspired and inspiring Sandhya, both you and your partner. It is disgusting the lies that have been propagated yes, and yet when the truth is known with every cell of the body one is steady and clear.

  15. The element that stood out was : claiming of what you stand for. This is exactly what is needed to be heard for many of us including myself. We know so much and often have felt a deep truth. But once we come closer to those truths, and having even felt them more than once, do we stand by and with them no matter what? Are we worth claiming what we know to be truth – and can we actually share those values claimed and chosen by us with others? Yes – and better, we should!

  16. It’s kind of like the bullies in the school playground, they pick on you because they feel intimidated by your strength so they try to bring you down by making up lies and make you feel insecure. Your partner has shown us time and time again that the lies are worthless when integrity stands solid.

  17. Sandhya, what you have shared about your partner is a beautiful example of a woman standing in her power and expressing her truth, whatever the consequences. As you have been, so too am I inspired to now express my truth at all times.

  18. It is super inspiring and it shows how, if we stand for the truth it will always support us, because what truly supports us is the truth, it is truly healthy for us in our lives. When we give in to fear for what will happen, what others might think and who will believe the lies and who not, we lessen ourselves and this will be unhealthy not only for us, but also for all others around us, because there will not be a reflection of someone standing up for the truth.

  19. And that is how it is done. You stand for truth, no matter what, and those around you can see that. From there, the observers have a choice – they can be inspired, or they can turn away either in anger, disbelief, jealousy, etc… And it is from our own living way, that this happens. How we live our truth and speak it.

  20. When the very thing we stand for is about true evolution, it keeps exposing the evil of comfort and our hold on security is constantly tested. And sometimes we may be encountered by a gap between what we say we live by and what we truly live by. Seeing someone like you and your partner is absolutely inspiring. Thank you for being you.

  21. It is deeply inspiring to witness individuals standing tall and consistent in the face of abuse without “any anger or malice, but from the true love for humanity”. The force that wields such activity as lies, abuse and bullying is designed to create separation, withdrawal and giving up, yet the love with which those like you Sandhya and your partner choose to stay aligned to proves that when we connect to our true essence and the love of humanity none of this touches us, and if anything we realise what is at stake and become more clear and focused.

  22. ‘Cult’ is a sensationalised term used by those who are irresponsible in order to incite reaction in others…an immature prank to sell papers and make a name for themselves, such lack of integrity and not one drop of responsibility.

  23. Sometimes (by choice) that which intends to lessen us makes us even more aware, focused and dedicated to stand for what we know is true; it can bring out the best in us.

  24. The falsities creep in when we do not stand in authority of the truth we know to be and are made from in essence. Hence, lies can only come in where we have not stood in our love, truth and harmony. So whenever we face a lie we are shown that we can be more and more truth.. Endless truth is and will expand.

  25. Nothing like observing someone who is so steady in themselves to really bring home the fact that when we know who we are, nothing can touch us. Naturally it awakens us to who we are ourselves and highlights how powerful we are when we don’t fight back, but carry on in the truth we know ourselves and others to be.

  26. It is inspiring to observe another stand for truth, as we are so conditioned to allow and accept the world of lies as normal. As you have shared when we do stand steady for what is right and true, we call out and cut through the lies, the abuse and the corruption that in truth do not serve or rightfully represent us as a humanity or offer us a foundation that supports our true advancement.

    1. Beautifully expressed Carola, I can feel that in exposing abuse and corruption in the world you hold people in appreciation for who they truly are.

  27. It is so inspiring to witness someone as your partner has, stand for the truth and for the truth of who they are, especially when so many wish to engage in circulating lies for their own agenda and advancement.

  28. I too am inspired. The more that one can hold their truth and integrity, the easier it is to do so. The inspiring thing is that this level of integrity can only be shared if it is lived in ones life.

  29. You were so inspired that you put this into action and wrote this blog calling out the lies .. Amazing. We can all learn from this. Lies want us to curl up and shrivel with fear in the corner. It is a cowardly energy. I agree with your partner to not only live her truth but live more of her truth .. again something we can all learn from.

  30. I love how we can empower each other to be all we are simply by the movements expressed from the bodies natural rhythm of truth and how this living way can not only inspire another but also reflect to a much wider scope of the world and shine brightly for all to feel their own power to . Once one flame is ignited then all are, that is the beauty of reflection through movements. Love is a super power and a truth that is undeniable.

  31. Feeling such steadfastness in another particularly when they are being abused by others is deeply inspiring. We know deep within that love is more powerful than any other force and when we witness this fact being lived it deeply confirms the truth of who we are. Thank you to all those who choose to remain steadfast in love irrespective of how they are being treated by others.

  32. It is great to see the world as it is and not think it is not that bad and the media is meaning well, what has happened is truly not ok and how you and your partner dealt with it is very inspiring. I love the fact that “this is all done not with any anger or malice, but from the true love for humanity that she has.”, this makes a real difference because if we would be angry in the way we call out what is not true we are actually just adding to the fire, so to speak. We are then contributing to the same thing we don’t agree with. Expressing in the way we want the world to be, that is with love for us all, is the way forward.

  33. That’s exactly it isn’t it, not looking across a line and seeing where everything else is and not standing up for what you feel is the truth because no one else is standing with you. At times there are things happening all around us that need us to not turn a blind eye too. What this article describes is exactly that as some may call this just an everyday experience and that’s the point. How do we allow this to continue? I don’t mean protests in the streets or picket lines but standing firm with every point you truly feel is off course and saying no in the way you live. So when someone you know or may not even know is bullied, harassed, intimidated and the list goes on where are we with it, do we just read the story or turn a blind eye? Or do we make a stand in our own lives to see the same thing happening around us and bring the truth to it? I know articles and things like this bring more to me to see and to say no on a different level.

  34. We are here to be our true selves, to claim back our origin, our natural divine source. Not becoming a person, or posture or attitude that is expected. Just the connection to who we are will defeat the absolute evil we have allowed – to be all that we are not.

  35. Sandhya, this is beautiful – to stand for Truth no matter what when we know to the bone this very Truth is a testament to your partner and shows that there is not one ounce of a mindless follower here. In fact I know you partner, and if it were not for the seriousness of the allegations, this would actually be a hilarious statement – it could not be further from the truth. Your partner only ever makes a decision for herself and she does this with the grace and knowing that any decision she makes is going to affect all those around her and hence her absolute understanding of the responsibility that lies herein. This is something to be truly inspired by!

  36. And that inspiration goes far and wide Sandhya,,. when someone has endured lies and accusations, and deliberate attempts to have their livelihood and reputation ruined, and they stand up tall to this the way your partner has, it is inspiring beyond measure. And from what I have seen and experienced, what comes back to us when we stand in the face of evil not cowering one iota, is an all-encompassing success that is underpinned by a joy that does not waiver – in essence, more, and then more and more love fills up our lives, as this is what we have claimed.

  37. It must be terrible to be manipulated and lied to by media to get the story/the angle they want. I don’t watch/ read the mainstream news anymore as I don’t believe what I see, there are so many agendas at play. To witness this with Universal Medicine is the most stark proof, something so caring and loving so bastardised into sensational lies.

  38. ‘Inspired to call out when something is not right: for by saying nothing, I am condoning these lies or actions to be acceptable.’ Mostly when lies are uttered either we react and speak out in emotion or we say nothing not wanting to get involved any further than necessary. To be able to stay very centred and stand tall expressing the truth in a loving way without compromise is an art that most of us need practise in and the world is asking for.

  39. Beautiful appreciation of your partner Sandhya. Expressing our appreciation especially to our loved ones as they can get left whether verbally or in writing is incredibly powerful. The appreciation doesn’t have to big but every time I express it from my body my whole being and the person I am expressing to expands… it is very beautiful.

  40. We all see so much every day, and we feel and sense a great deal that is not caring, supportive or full of Love. We can frame it as being accepting or tolerant of others, but holding back the truth of what we feel is actually poisonous to us and harmful to others. It’s crazy how we live believing it to be the other way around. When you consider how good it feels to get what you feel ‘off your chest’ and then see how much that goes on in our world we don’t speak up about, well no wonder our health and well-being is not that great. Thank you Sandhya for inspiring me to share what I feel, lovingly.

  41. Very spot on Brendan, because adults receive constant abuse from the internet too and its a shame because many of us don’t even talk about it, it’s swept under the rug, ignored and left for another to deal with.

  42. Thank you Sandhya, you and your partner are very inspiring. We as a society have allowed the bullying minority to get away with an enormous amount of lies and harm for far too long such that often we have even lost touch with the truth. The only way out of this disgraceful situation is for each of us to stand up for love and truth as you have described, for nothing is of greater value.

    1. In truth nothing is of ‘greater value’ than standing up for love and truth but the majority of us have prioritised avoiding the truth and living a lie as having more importance. Hence the current life that we’re all living, one that is a very long way from the truth.

  43. My deepest respect for everyone who stands tall in the face of injustice, lies, ridicule, threat… in short, everything that is not honouring truth and behaving loveless to a fellow brother. It is such people that show us that we all can do it.
