Esoteric Yoga Classes: An Amplifier for Within

by Lee Green, Business Manager, Perth

I stood this morning in the shower, gently washing myself, feeling my feet supporting me as I stood in balance… totally balanced and steady with me. As I felt my feet, my fingertips were feeling all that they touched and gently washed. My hair and my scalp were right underneath them as they massaged my head. This simple feeling of me, being with me as I do something, has been brought about over time by the steady commitment to be with me always. I have supported myself to develop this connection through the regular study of esoteric yoga.

I have had the fortune of being an attendee in esoteric yoga classes run by Victoria Carter for some time now, and I feel the blessing of what this brings to me in this simplest of techniques. Initially this deepening of the connection with me was uncomfortable, itchy, even fidgety – and yet underneath this is an absolute knowing that the place I longed for, to assist in my living with the everyday stresses and strains of my life, was literally at my fingertips.

The results are profound, in that the body through these classes is made very loud, as if the technique of esoteric yoga that Universal Medicine & Serge Benhayon originally shared is like an amplifier for the wondrous sounds and indications within. My body has a way of speaking to me now – developed over time with dedication and the amazing gentle assistance of my esoteric yoga practitioner – that allows me to truly feel and act on what is felt. This early warning system is much more gentle a way to live in the world and I have much appreciation for esoteric yoga and the amazing love that I can now feel as my foundation. Thank you Universal Medicine, for sharing this wonderful modality.

  1. “This early warning system is much more gentle a way to live in the world” Yes absolutely, our body offers us an early warning system that we have turned down, drowned our or perhaps put on silence! The Esoteric Yoga reawakens our ears to the communication of the body. It is so simple yet incredibly profound.

  2. “My body has a way of speaking to me now” Esoteric Yoga allows us to hear a clear message in the stillness.

  3. This is truly beautiful. Sometimes it feels as though truth is too much and reveals too much ugliness and lovelessness I have chosen, but that is not where truth takes us or comes from, it is eternally beautiful and it is in our relationship with it that we define what is to be our reality.

  4. “This early warning system is much more gentle a way to live in the world and I have much appreciation for esoteric yoga and the amazing love that I can now feel as my foundation.” It’s a beautiful way to express the gifts Esoteric Yoga offers, it’s a re-union with our body and being, and an ongoing deepening awareness of how to take care of ourselves by listening to how we feel and to what the body is communicating.

  5. Like, um! all the Esoteric modalities are a blessing, and to live in an age where True healing is freely available to everyone this should be expressed in every way possible, so thank you Lee for sharing about Esoteric Yoga.!

    1. Esoteric Yoga supports our connection with self, ‘This simple feeling of me, being with me as I do something, has been brought about over time by the steady commitment to be with me always.’

  6. I will never forget my experience after my first Esoteric yoga session – I literally could not believe how present I felt. I was standing in front of my bathroom mirror about to brush my teeth, I held the toothpaste and really felt it in my hand, I felt it sitting in my palm and every finger wrapped around it. Sounds bizarre because perhaps this should be our everyday, our every moment’s experience – but the truth is is that it is not, we rush around in disconnection and then when something like this happens we are gobsmacked.

      1. Hmmm you’re right and I don’t know what’s worse for the ungodly-god, a slap on the wrist or the freedom to do as they please. No wonder a world is a mess!

    1. It will be amazing when this does become our every moment’s experience, ‘ My body has a way of speaking to me now – developed over time with dedication and the amazing gentle assistance of my esoteric yoga practitioner – that allows me to truly feel and act on what is felt.’

  7. I totally get what you say about the amplification of the body’s messages in yoga. In stillness everything is felt much more acutely and so what may once have been hidden is now in our faces.. it’s like our awareness is heightened and in that, the choice to stay with what we feel or to check out from it also becomes far more obvious – a choice to then stay steady and observe, or react and withdraw.

    1. Yes we become aware that in every moment there is a choice to be made and when we don’t think we are making a choice we are, in fact, very much making a choice.

  8. I agree with you Lee, Esoteric Yoga is supporting me very much to feel more steady, trustful with my inner senses and joyful in my daily basis. What I love most from practicing it is its simplicity and it can be done whenever we feel that we need to check what’s going on inside us. There is no right or wrong, no need to develop skills or to reach anything outside, just breath in and feel the precious body we carry…

  9. I love feeling steady in my body and esoteric yoga is a great healing modality to support this.

  10. Esoteric Yoga offers us space to surrender, to connect more deeply to our body and let go of any tensions that we hold.

    1. That’s why is super powerful and very supportive, because by surrendering to the body we have the opportunity to create a new space inside us, dettached from the huge amount of tensions, demands and distractions from outside. A revelatory and life changing experience to have by our own choice.

  11. From getting out of bed and how our beds is made until we return to bed and surrender to our body to sleep has been deeply explored by what Esoteric Yoga will always bringing to us as a focus back to our body and our connection to it. So every movement can be done as you have shared Lee with a profound effect on our day when we stay connected to our essences.

  12. Esoteric yoga is so simple yet so very powerful in giving us the space to connect to the warmth of our inner heart, and in that stillness and know who we truly are and how we have been living.

    1. It provides a moment of pause to take a snapshot of where we feel we are at now. From that pause we can feel the momentum of how we have moved and re-imprint movement in our body, so when we get up from the mat, we bring the same level of care and attention into our daily rhythm.

  13. Esoteric yoga is a beautiful modality and one that is my constant go to because I can actually feel my body and enjoy the time I spend rebuilding a relationship with me. From not being able to feel anything because of choices I had made to disengage from life to actually feeling myself is huge.

  14. Esoteric Yoga is now a huge part of my life, and it deeply supports me to feel how my body is and let it be, not try and fix it but observe and this is massive; the more I’ve been able to observe, the more I’ve been able to feel and see how I can more clearly live in a way that supports me and my body, no effort, no push and no trying.

  15. Esoteric yoga was extremely difficult for me in the early days because I would keep falling asleep during the programs. I remember how hard it was for me to move as all I wanted to do was nod off to sleep. Fast forward a few years and I now feel alive and invigorated after yoga even if the class finishes late.

  16. We often forget the importance of how our body feels and hence communicates with us showing us what is most supportive for it. It feels like if we would work on that, then we would catch illness and disease at a much earlier stage.

  17. To connect to our inner stillness via Esoteric Yoga doesn’t stop with doing it in a course or class, it becomes an every day living with the body and inspires a presence that is beyond human, we are God in human form.

    1. So true Annelies, we are That, that same Love as God that is being continually shared with us all and Esoteric Yoga is a great way to re-connect to our Essences or Inner-still-ness.

  18. Like you Lee the more I feel and know what the quality of stillness feels like in my body the more obvious it is when anything is not aligned to this love and tender way of being with myself and others.

  19. The body has so much to communicate with us, and Esoteric Yoga does provide an opportunity to reconnect and refine our listening skills too. I treasure this union I now feel with my body. To re-connect to the quality of stillness that is naturally within brings a greater awareness of how we move through life.

  20. Building space within is not such an easy task because of our addiction to denseness, but feeling spacious inside is a true blessing; one that esoteric yoga brings along.

  21. Esoteric yoga offers such a support to help reconnect to the divinity within, when we forget who we are and where we come from life becomes mundane -a series of movements that happen just to get by – introduce Esoteric Yoga and we reintroduce the fact we are so so much more. The universe is revealed when we surrender within.

  22. It is delicious to be truly with our body when we do things and feel its warmth all the time from the inside out.

  23. I agree – paying attention and being consciously present with the body is like looking through a magnifying glass, all its wonder and exquisite beauty reveals itself right in front of us and it feels like it reignites something inside us and fills all the in between spaces with appreciation.

  24. I agree that Esoteric Yoga is a blessing for those who participate in the courses, in fact for the whole world. To be offered the space to reconnect to our bodies and to allow ourselves to acknowledge the truth of how we feel is, for me, a priceless opportunity, one that I am so delighted to have accepted.

  25. ” is like an amplifier for the wondrous sounds and indications within ”
This is true and I also find that the imposing of the world is subdued, which allows for more personal awareness.

  26. Esoteric Yoga has supported immensely with my connection and relationship with my body. It allows the deep surrender and rest I am not always able to achieve when I have taken things on

  27. The compass of the body is clearer through the expansion of stillness offered in Esoteric Yoga.

  28. I so agree with you Lee when you say
“Initially this deepening of the connection with me was uncomfortable, itchy, even fidgety – and yet underneath this is an absolute knowing that the place I longed for to assist in my living with the everyday stresses and strains of my life, was literally at my fingertips.”
Esoteric Yoga enables me to return to something I felt I had lost, but my body is showing me via the Yoga that this is not the case, that there is a deep and profound stillness in all of us and this is an excellent modality to support us to return to our stillness and then from there take it out into the world.

  29. Everything that amplifies the love within is pure gold, or more correctly stated Universal Medicine. We can not expect to heal and release the tensions and traumas we carry, without endorsing more and more these golden nuggets which support us very practically in our everyday.

  30. It is amazing to realise and feel our body is in constant communication with us, sharing the wisdom of what is true for us to live, the wisdom of who we are and who we are not and the wisdom of the love that is our innate way of being. Esoteric Yoga offers a way that we can tangibly live in connection to our inner-stillness and be guided the truth of who we are, regardless of what is happening in the world around us.

  31. What Esoteric yoga has amplified for me is that I am/we are love and stillness. No matter what happens in the world, all the madness, rush, drama etc, I can access the truth of myself and not be led by the non-stop motion and emotions around. To be in life and it’s all knowing who I am.

  32. Esoteric yoga has supported me deeply to come back to myself, the connection is always there and the way back is through the awareness with the body. It feels very simple but this simplicity is something we have missed a lot in life.

  33. Esoteric Yoga is a very simple modality yet it’s so very powerful in terms of what it offers. Esoteric Yoga brings such an awareness to the body and an ability to learn to stay in that connection to the body and deeply honour all that it communicates. This has also transformed my life as Esoteric Yoga has supported me to learn to stay in yoga (union) with myself and the qualities of my soul, including my love, joy and stillness, and live with these everyday. I am also able to take much better care of myself by listening to my body

  34. Connecting to the body is GOLD or maybe even more than that. As this connection not only gives us back that yummy feeling within but too acces to that greater wisdom, order and rhythm of the universe our body is irrefutably connected to and in essence we all are from.

  35. The love that we are able to connect to on a daily basis is HUGE. Joyous and truth-full. The key is here with Esoteric Yoga is that it is related to building a foundation of connection (love) in your body. This is incredible opportunity and what a blessing we have received this tools as a humanity. Now, accessible for every body.

  36. How are we to ever know ourselves in full if we do not know our body in full either? We can be walking around with something absolutely amazing and not even know or feel it!

  37. Life is so busy and demanding that often the first thing we neglect is our relationship with our body, Esoteric Yoga is a fantastic tool for get to know what’s happening in your body more, it gives you a moment to stop and surrender and as you brilliantly describe, feel every cm and inch of who you are and what’s happening inside you.

    1. Well said Meg and I totally agree, our body is definitely the first thing we neglect when we get caught up in the heady demands and pace of the world around us.

      1. ….The thing we need the most and literally can’t function without is the thing we drop our regard for first – it’s slightly crazy!!

  38. I’ve been pulled to the esoteric yoga blogs so I’m getting the feeling my body is ready and yearning more of this stillness. And to support this, 3 Esoteric practitioners are offering classes and my body already knows which practitioner it wants to support it. I just love how my body is responding more and more to support that increasing awareness and as beautifully expressed – ‘an amplifier within’.

  39. Sometimes my body speaks loud and clear… there is no doubt and I respond. What’s interesting is in those moments because of the absolute knowingness I do not go into doubt or give my power away to external forces which in the past has been a big behaviour of mine. The more I listen to the messages and impulses from the body the more confident in myself I am getting.

  40. I never think of being in the shower when I am at my desk so I find it important not to think of work in the shower which is something I used to do. It is so lovely to simply be in the shower and present with myself and the moment as you have described.

    1. Haha that’s a great analogy and absolutely spot on, I agree it feels amazing to just be totally one billion percent present – it makes life super simple.

  41. I love how Esoteric Yoga as presented by Universal Medicine gives us the space or opportunity to really tune in with our body and deepen our awareness of all that we feel, giving us a marker that we can then take back into our daily living with us.

  42. Esoteric Yoga offers the opportunity to feel and deepen your connection to the Divine flow of love within your body.

  43. I love Esoteric Yoga, it allows me to feel such a great depth within, takes me back to the simplicity of being me in my body, and that there is a vast well of love and wisdom within ready to be lived and expressed. Esoteric Yoga is now part of my life and I could not imagine it any other way.

  44. I have recently begun an Esoteric Yoga Program online and it is such a beautiful way to begin my day and the connection and stillness built in the class supports me throughout the day with all my movements.

    1. I usually do esoteric yoga at the end of the day as I can really appreciate how it supports me to wind down and settle for the night but with what you have shared here Anna maybe I could consider sometimes doing it in the morning to set myself up for the day.

  45. There’s nothing quite like the feeling you describe Lee, of actually feeling your own body with your own fingertips. I remember when it first happened to me – years ago, when I was undertaking somatic (body-centred) psychotherapy sessions – I was actually not only amazed at the loveliness of the sensation, but quite shocked too: I realised I hadn’t had a conscious awareness of how my body felt for years. Esoteric Yoga is fabulous for re-establishing that link.

  46. It’s incredible to hear how loud our bodies communication actually is. You can then feel to what extent we have crushed it out.

  47. Esoteric Yoga helps us practise a way of being through connection to our body that supports with everything we do in our daily life.

  48. Thankyou Lee, I liked your description of Esoteric Yoga being an amplifier for the body and it’s communication, this is very true for me also. Esoteric Yoga is so much more than just a class, it’s a life changing modality.

  49. Lee, I love how you share the amplification of what is already within, that Esoteric Yoga re-connects us to through innate the living stillness. This is true in my experience too.

  50. I love how you describe Esoteric Yoga as an amplifier for Within – it’s like it supports us to have a space where we are totally focussed on tuning in with our whole body and hearing what it is communicating with us!

  51. Esoteric Yoga amplifies what we already are and have within is a great point to make because it takes the focus away from trying to or having to get anywhere to saying just surrender to that which you already are, it turns the way of thinking we need to attain something on its head.

  52. ‘What if I attended a course? What if I complete a degree? Perhaps if I undertook a rigorous exam and developed an extensive knowledge of X?’. We like to think of true joy and vitality being something we win, or earn through gritted teeth and an ardous struggle. But what if none of this was true? What if all we ever needed to do is connect, live and move in a way the deeply honours the truth? What if that is possible right here, right now, just in the way I choose to type these words? Thank you Lee for this beautiful blog honouring the super power we all have in the quality we choose.

    1. It sometimes feels as though we don’t favour simplicity and prefer complication, struggle, arduous pursuits and hardship instead. Esoteric Yoga offers this simplicity and never ceases to inspire as we connect more deeply within.

  53. So beautifully and simply shared Lee, the wonders of what the body can share with us through the power of Esoteric Yoga, the deeper our loving care for our body the deeper the wisdom.

  54. I love the simplicity found in the movements of Esoteric Yoga and how from these movements we can see the real honesty of our bodies and how we can learn and explore the intricate detail of our days and what choices we can make to bring a greater understanding to how we move and why we choose to do certain things too. Esoteric Yoga is amazing.

  55. I love the details you share here Lee, it’s very tangible how you connect with your body and how through that connection you are more you with you in all you do. That is the magic of us, and to have a modality like Esoteric Yoga which amplifies what our bodies communicate is such a gift. Thanks indeed Universal Medicine.

  56. I use to do this yoga years ago before I was so busy, I loved it. Did you do your sessions in person or online? I have been reading all these blogs about esoteric yoga lately and I am really wanting to try it out as apart of my week but my family and work life cannot fit in, me actually driving to a session somewhere, I always wondered if it would be as powerful if you did it from a computer at home or if some of the magic would be lost?

  57. Lee, thank you for sharing your experience. Even though I may not right now be having a relationship with my body where its voice is clearly heard and responded as you are, I can feel the truth in what you say and it is beautiful to feel my body rejoicing that.

  58. It is very clear to see that we all have a body that loves to be connected to, to be touched, to be nurtured and to be loved, but how many of us live this way? I know that I didn’t for a very long time but in finding my way to Universal Medicine and the wonderful modality of Esoteric Yoga I have finally reconnected to a very appreciative body. The changes in my life have been nothing short of spectacular; the way I move has changed, the way I care for my body has changed and the quality of my life has changed immeasurably as well. To put it simply; I love Esoteric Yoga!

  59. I had an Esoteric Yoga session this week and I am already noticing more in my body than ever before. One tiny adjustment can make such a difference to the flow of energy in the body – it is really amazing – and it is amazing also just how much I would contort my body without recognising it before.

  60. This beautifully captures Esoteric Yoga Lee, “…is like an amplifier for the wondrous sounds and indications within.” It gives voice to all those messages our bodies continually offer us in every moment of every day of how to move, walk, work, sit, eat, bend, talk, stand etc. In the safety and holding of an Esoteric Yoga session we give ourselves space to hear it and respond.

  61. It is amazing how much we can run our day totally unaware of how our bodies are feeling. Then when doing an esoteric yoga session it brings you totally into yourself and you start to feel much more.

  62. I agree Lee, Esoteric Yoga definitely gives us an opportunity to feel an increase in our connection within and at the same time it also amplifies where we are holding back our connection in certain areas too.

  63. The more we listen to our body and bring understanding to the world around us, the more wisdom we have access too.

  64. Esoteric Yoga offers true union, the union with ourselves through the connection with our body in conscious presence.

  65. It is through our commitment to deepen our relationship with our bodies that we get access to higher levels of awareness perfectly constellated to evolve and Esoteric Yoga allows this in the most gentle and unimposing way we can ever imagine.

  66. I love this blog and the way you describe your feelings here Lee. It makes is so clear that Esoteric Yoga is not an end in itself but is just the start of seeing that everything we do, in every day, has the potential for this beauty, depth, and grace too. I’ve just spent the afternoon hurriedly tidying and cleaning my house, so am extremely grateful for the timely reminder that the quality of each move I make carries great weight.

  67. I love the modality that is Esoteric Yoga. It so supports my understanding of how I am living life and highlights the awareness I have of my body and how I can allow my mind to overrule this. My body shows me so so much and I deeply appreciate this modality for the awareness it has brought me.

  68. I agree that esoteric yoga allows you to feel all that is going on that you may have been moving in a way to not feel.

  69. Lee, I like the way you have described Esoteric Yoga as being an “amplifier for the wondrous sounds and indications within”, indeed it allows us to get to know ourselves for the true quality of movement within ourselves.

  70. If you live one step ahead of yourself, clamouring for the next great experience, then the truth is you will always be found lacking, or at least forever looking for the next high point in between the mundane reality of life. There is, alternatively, a simplicity and beauty in just the movement of being.

  71. Well said and very true Lee, Esoteric Yoga offers the body the space to truly surrender and to connect to the stillness within, this modality is so powerful and deeply healing for the body.

  72. Thank you Lee for sharing your experience of Esoteric yoga, it is such a simple yet profound modality offering us the opportunity to go deeper within the body to feel and connect to the stillness within. Much can come up as a way to show us how we have been living in our bodies.

  73. It is crazy and almost unbelievable that we consider and accept that it is ‘normal’ to forgo living in connection to who we are and with our bodies, when all the while everything thing we need to guide us to live the greatest love possible is, as you say, at our fingertips, literally. The power of Esoteric Yoga is a Godsend, as we are offered to opportunity to reconnect to our stillness within, and in union with our bodies we discover how this natural way of moving is our natural way of being.

  74. It took me awhile to appreciate and understand Esoteric Yoga. I felt I wasn’t doing enough and there didn’t seem to be enough going on. Then everything changed. As with most esoteric things, I have found that I feel it is true and I persevere until I understand. Esoteric Yoga is that connection with the body. It brings me to that stillness that is me. It brings me the truth of how I am living and how connected to me I am.

  75. I also felt like this when I stated to connect to my body. “Initially this deepening of the connection with me was uncomfortable, itchy, even fidgety – and yet underneath this is an absolute knowing that the place I longed for, to assist in my living with the everyday stresses and strains of my life, was literally at my fingertips”. Thanks for the presentation by Serge Benhayon, which has shared how important connection is.

  76. A great way to describe it Lee. In connecting to the stillness we hold within, everything that is not in the quality of that stands out.

  77. I agree Lee, Esoteric Yoga really amplifies our bodies conversations loud and clear and it feels amazing to move from our connection to stillness. A very beautiful healing modality for all.

  78. The technique of Esoteric Yoga is as simple and profound as its effect on body and being. The mind may not like or grasp it but without doubt, the body loves it as it is fully honoured and finally listened to the constant and insightful communication that supports us in developing and sustaining a way of living in union with oneself.

  79. Thankyou Lee, I have also found Esoteric Yoga invaluable for supporting me to listen to my body and feel more honestly where I am at. This has allowed me to make more loving choices for myself which I deeply appreciate. If I feel anxious or stressed I can actually give myself a mini yoga session, even at work, just gently coming back in union with the body, connecting back to what I am feeling, and finding ways of lovingly supporting myself. Esoteric Yoga has given me the support to create a more steady and still life, instead of being constantly battered by all the stress and anxiousness. What’s really different about Esoteric Yoga is that it’s not something you do, it’s something you live.

  80. Dear Lee,
Esoteric yoga has supported me in the very same way. Thank you for highlighting just how much our bodies know. Albeit, if we live with out connection to and in honor of our bodies, these very definite messages are not felt and acted upon until there is a major illness in our body. It is this simple yet profound truth that humanity is aching to understand, yet the level of responsibility required scares many from the beauty of living as you do. My learning is that living with this responsibility is not actually scary at all, it brings with it a sense of freedom. The freedom to not hide who we are, nor that each of us is a son of God and that all of us have within our essence wisdom that all of humanity needs, and if we don’t deliver this, all of humanity misses out. It is no longer about us alone. But about us being the rock solid love we all are so others can see, feel and maybe choose for themselves, their love too.

  81. Esoteric yoga offers us a template for life, so we can bring stillness inside us wherever we go. – staying present, connected and bringing all of us to all situations at all times. Quite a challenge…..hence i take a class at every opportunity – to practise life in a one hour session……..

  82. It sounds such a simple thing you describe Lee, of staying fully present and gentle with every movement for a period of several minutes, but I defy anyone to give it a try and see how quickly and frequently we check out from not just moments, but big chunks of time. Esoteric Yoga I agree is a very powerful and effective way of beginning to bring much greater awareness of the fact and to begin addressing it.

  83. This is so true Lee – The body is an amplifier. Through Esoteric Yoga I have been able to feel the issues/baggage that I carry around in my body just sitting there but if I let this go and deepen, the stillness is right there waiting for me. Feeling this stillness which is naturally there for all of us, and living in this way (to the best of our ability) life becomes simple and joyful.

  84. Thank you Universal Medicine indeed. An incredible support and reflection that life is about love instead of all the other things we have made it to be – now feeling unresolved in it and looking out for love. Interesting play. But those who look there way out of the vast illusion , and coming back to who we are and where life now actually is about , or has been always about , or at least we are – love.

  85. Thank you for sharing your experience of Esoteric Yoga, I love the modality also and I am amazed at how bringing focus, with no need to fix, can actually dissolve and heal what is presented.

    1. It is so simple to bring a focus by a loving choice ‘with no need to fix’ your so-called ills, and when we do so our body will take care of its self! Esoteric Yoga is the only way for me to reconnect to who I am.

  86. I have felt at times when I have dropped into the stillness of my body during Esoteric Yoga and have felt the potential for nurturing and developing this connection. However I can also relate to feeling fidgety and in my case, quite irritated by it. And even in this it offers me the most amazing reflection – that I have difficulty just being with myself, in my body, feeling everything.

  87. I whole-heartedly agree, it is the most amazing amplifier. From the stillness that Esoteric Yoga supports and builds a connection to, there is space for the body’s conversation to be heard. We then have a choice to take that into daily living and if we do it consistently it is extraordinary to see how the communication is amplified.

  88. You can feel in your words the depth of steadiness you have developed through your connection. There is no doubt that when you commit to feeling what is there to be felt, the body teaches you everything you need to know.

  89. I too have benefited enormously from attending regular Esoteric Yoga classes, they have assisted me to really feel what it is to be deeply connected to my body. Within the session my body does speak loudly, like an amplifier as you say Lee. It never ceases to amaze me how much you can feel when time and space is given to simply be with oneself. Bringing this awareness in to my day to day movements means I am less often numb to what is really going on.

  90. Being identify change in our behaviours before it is too late is a wondrous ability to have. And something well covered in this Blog. Thanks Lee

  91. The practice of Esoteric Yoga really challenges me to fully be with my body in its stillness, something at times that I resist. I find the classes very supportive and totally loving for my body and they teach me heaps.

  92. Thank you Lee. I too have found esoteric yoga to be profoundly life changing.

Your blog reminds me how easy and powerful it is to connect to my body. When I connect to my body and move from this connection I can change my way of thinking and snap myself out of harmful patterns of behaviour.

  93. ‘ is an absolute knowing that the place I longed for, to assist in my living with the everyday stresses and strains of my life, was literally at my fingertips.’ How amazing that the place I have longed for is within me. So simple, so beautiful. I have done many things in life searching for this place only to discover this place has been with me all along, that choosing to connect to the divine quality of who I am allows me to be in a world I once thought was so hostile that I needed protection from it. Reconnecting to this place and not instantly recoiling from my judgements of the world around me, is supporting me to be me in full.

  94. Esoteric yoga definitely amplifies what is within! Our lives are so full and so busy that we rarely take moments to really stop and feel what is going on for us so Esoteric Yoga classes are a massive support.

  95. Esoteric Yoga develops a sensitivity in the fingertips that brings a tender connection to everything you touch.

  96. Thank you Lee for sharing your experience of Esoteric Yoga, I just love it, and appreciate the deepening feeling of stillness I am brought to and at times the not so still moments as my body is being heard.

  97. I too have come from initially struggling to be still, and awake, through an Esoteric Yoga class, to absolutely loving and appreciating the divine healing space that is offered within each session. And I can easily relate to Esoteric Yoga being “like an amplifier for the wondrous sounds and indications within”, for when I am in the place of stillness during a session my body has the opportunity to speak to me very clearly and to be heard.

  98. “Initially the deepening of this connection with me was uncomfortable.” I can relate to this Lee as I felt the same when I first came across Esoteric Yoga, many years ago now. But now I love it as it supports me to reconnect to my stillness, which I can then take out into my day.

  99. Thank you for sharing Lee. Esoteric Yoga has been absolutely life changing for me and I am more grateful for the blessing of this modality each and every day.

  100. Lee I remember when I first went to Esoteric Yoga, and it was difficult to concentrate, without my mind disappearing off with random thoughts, and a constant urge to move. I have felt a remarkable difference from my racy mind at the start to now being able to connect within.

  101. I love your use of the word “amplify” Lee. A poignant reminder of just how loudly the body speaks when we become still and allow ourselves the space to listen and hear what it has to say.

  102. I have found Esoteric Yoga really brings to my attention exactly where I am at. Bringing myself to a stop and surrendering is not easy but I love to feel where my body is talking to me and to reflect on some of the momentums that have occurred that have led me to a certain point. Sometimes it’s obvious where I have gotten off track but at other times the answers don’t easily come. I have learnt to just accept that and to know that if I simply note what is happening but don’t try to analyse that the answers will come when they are ready. Esoteric Yoga definitely leaves a huge mark on me that I then endeavour to use as my guide following sessions.

    1. ‘Sometimes it’s obvious where I have gotten off track but at other times the answers don’t easily come. I have learnt to just accept that and to know that if I simply note what is happening but don’t try to analyse that the answers will come when they are ready.’ Great to hear this this morning, thank you Helen. I can sometimes fall back into that old habit of wanting to get the answers and trying too hard. This happened last night and I lost my connection and communicated in an unloving way. Esoteric Yoga is so supportive in this regard. Re-connecting to my inner heart and feeling myself in my body brought me back and allowed me to feel my own body and where I had left myself, sometime before the interaction I had with my friend. This was a point where I had put someone else’s needs before my own and agreed to something that, in truth, did not suit me. This realisation came to me later when I had allowed myself more humility and love and let go of the searching.

  103. I can definitely relate to the fidgetiness when first doing esoteric yoga you write about and at times I felt ‘bored’ with it. However at the same time I could feel it was exactly what I needed and after some time my body came to love the connection and stillness I felt within and how this can be taken into the day.

  104. I agree Lee. It’s easy in the hustle and bustle of this day and age to get so caught up in the mind that we take our body totally for granted. Esoteric yoga is like having a microphone connected to your body that amplifies what you are feeling to a frequency that is loud enough for your ears to hear and finally take notice of.

  105. Esoteric yoga is truly an amazing modality. I love how you shared the fact that at first it felt uncomfortable. I too found that at first it was difficult to totally let go of all the thoughts in my head and feel my body, listen to my body and deeply nurture my body. I have found that when I have had an esoteric yoga session the ripple effect of connecting with me also supports those around me.

    1. That ripple effect is an interesting one Heidi. I have noticed this mainly with teaching. If I am still it seems to rub off on my students and if I am not I really miss it because my students seem to be so much more disconnected and restless. Great reflections. The other day I had three girls that are so difficult to teach as they are so scattered and distracted by each other. I was at a loss as to what to do. I had to acknowledge that they were a reflection of me, this was a bitter pill to swallow. I feel to simply observe and allow and not judge them or try to change them. Esoteric yoga will enable me to do this more effectively I feel because that is exactly what it asks of ourselves.

  106. Such a great description of how Esoteric Yoga actually feels as an experience. This modality is undoubtedly ground-breaking in its ability to reintroduce our connection with the body’s range of delicate, subtle, strong and loud signals, bringing us a deeper awareness of how we’re truly living our lives, moment by moment.

  107. I can so relate to your initial discomfort of reconnection to yourself through Esoteric Yoga. For many sessions I would find myself feeling very irritable that there was apparently ‘nothing to do’ except sitting up and lying down occasionally and what on earth was I doing there – it all seemed rather pointless at the time!
Ha! How fooled I was with these tricks of the mind. To be able to surrender more deeply to simply being with my body and the innate stillness within is the absolute gold that Esoteric Yoga offers and is more apparent in every session now – the greatest gift ever given to myself is continuing to turn up for sessions and over the past few years attending training for the absolute joy in presenting and sharing Esoteric Yoga with others.
“Initially this deepening of the connection with me was uncomfortable, itchy, even fidgety – and yet underneath this is an absolute knowing that the place I longed for, to assist in my living with the everyday stresses and strains of my life, was literally at my fingertips”.

  108. Thanks for sharing your experiences with Esoteric Yoga Lee. I also find Esoteric Yoga an amazing modality that truly supports the body to surrender and invites an exquisite stillness that we can carry through our everyday lives.

  109. Great blog Lee, it is very great what you share about Esoteric Yoga. I have learned how clear my body is speaking and how I have ignored this so. I became aware of this with Esoteric Yoga, at first it was quite a sad feeling that I had not listened to my body for such a long time, since I was very young. It was profound to feel my body communicate to me again, purely by connecting to myself and be present and wanting to be aware of what I was feeling, indeed very powerful. This form of yoga has offered me to get to know myself in many ways, and it is getting more beautiful everyday.

  110. Esoteric Yoga is the Yoga of life. Through the practice of this simple yet deeply profound modality we are offered the opportunity to connect to the grand expansiveness of love and stillness within us, feel the truth of our body and continue to maintain this connection throughout our daily life. Its quietly amazing!

  111. Thank you Lee it is so beautiful to read your experience in the shower and as others have commented I immediately connected with a profound sense of stillness within myself – an awesome start to my day.

  112. Great Lee. How many of us develop a way of being, where we are still with out body and feeling supported as we move? And I know a lot of us wouldn’t even consider this as something important, because showering is just something we have to do on our way to more ‘important things’. Esoteric science has showed us that its these things like showering, walking, expressing etc that contribute to how we are on an overall basis and are a part of whats called a rhythm. Now the whole world must be out of rhythm because there is so much disconnection to our bodies and the whole world seems to be focussed on what to ‘do’. Thanks for sharing your story, it proves to the world that there is a different quality of being that can be achieved and that life need not be so exhausting. Rhythm is the way.

  113. Esoteric yoga is the most powerful modality to support a personal relationship with stillness. Your blog shows one of the many ways we can build that relationship with our bodies outside the classes which, inevitably, is how we bring stillness from being an ideal, or a notional consideration to being a Livingness in our bodies.

  114. Coming back to a sense of your body and feeling what is going on for you is a very important thing. When things in life knock you around the one thing you can always come back to is how you feel in the body.

The questions that can be asked are
    – Did I feel this before the event knocked me around
    – Is this feeling heavier than usual
    – what tools can I use to bring me back

Life can knock us around sometimes but with understanding, accpetance and simple tools at our disposal we can always bounce back.

And take the experience from every situation to grow.

  115. I love what you write here – “This early warning system is much more gentle a way to live in the world”. It is so true when you become quieter, gentler and more loving with the body, you start to hear the smaller warnings that our body gives us that something isn’t right. A few years ago, it took 4 accidents within a 10 day period for me to go OK somethings not right, I need to look at what is going on. Now sitting gently with my body listening to what it has to say is FAR MORE preferable than being knocked off your bike. I am incredibly grateful to Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine who have shown so many people that there is another way to be with our bodies if we so choose.

  116. Esoteric Yoga provides a way to reach the body so we can become more aware of what it is communicating with us. It provides the pathway to connection with oneself.

  117. Esoteric Yoga is a great modality to use as a way to really connect to your inner essence, I found the concept of being still a bit difficult at the start, however in time the stillness becomes more familier and the natural progression to feel your inner essence eventuates

  118. To really re-learn how to listen intently to our bodies once again can bring so much joy, connection and empowerment, as the body knows and holds the truth of our every action. Through our bodies we can rediscover the freedom and joy we walked away from.

  119. So true Lee. Esoteric Yoga allows the body to speak loud and clear as we connect to our inner stillness and quiet the constant chatter of the mind. It gives an opportunity to be at one with yourself and connect to the love and truth of who you are.

  120. I agree Lee that esoteric yoga feels very foundational and essential in day to day life so that we do not stray too far away from a deep connection with our bodies and our inner hearts which are able to tell us all the answers we will ever need. Esoteric yoga does indeed provide a space and an opportunity for the body to speak. Rather than seeing esoteric yoga as an amplifier (because I actually feel that our soul and the body is actually talking loudly to us all the time) I like to think of esoteric yoga as a way of removing my earplugs so that I am actually listening more intently!

  121. Lee I love your description of Esoteric Yoga being an amplifier for within. I too have experienced uncomfortable periods of itchiness or fidgeting or mental busy-ness, but what astounds me is that it passes and I connect with an amazing depth of stillness within myself in such a short time. It is an amazing modality indeed.

    1. Esoteric Yoga definitely exposes the different forms of distractions we have invested in, in order to not connect with what our body has to express. This modality has been life changing and my ability to be in stillness has expanded. Thank Lee for sharing.

  122. Thank you Lee for sharing your experience of this wonderful modality. I can so relate to Esoteric Yoga being an amplifier for all that otherwise I may right off as back ground noise, or worse still dismiss altogether as I’m tuned into some other frequency, namely the chatter going on ‘upstairs’. Each and every practise of Esoteric Yoga has allowed for a grater discover of just how much is there to pick up on from the stillness my body so naturally feels at home with.

  123. I have also had this ‘itchy’ and ‘uncomfortable’ experience and also have had this knowing within that there is somewhere deeper that I can go, Esoteric Yoga truly does support this feeling of ‘depth’. I have been connecting with a gorgeous stillness though practicing it and will be doing another course on the internet very soon.

  124. I love feeling the expansion of the different parts of my body after doing a movement in repetition with Esoteric Yoga. I am always amazed at how long and spacious my legs feel and how completely simple it is to move with myself. What an amazing tool yet totally natural way to live in our day, moving with our body and enjoying to wonder this has to offer.

    1. The spacious that we can create in our bodies with this modality is simply amazing, afterwards I feel so expanded and one with everybody around me. Ahhhh divine

    2. The beauty of being able to create space in the body with esoteric yoga is amazing. It really allows us to expand within our body and come to stillness. The feeling is amazing as we really get to connect with our body and go to a deeper depth.

  125. for Within, In stillness we re-connect to ourselves in such a profound way, I have experienced such clarity in the esoteric Yoga Classes offered by the practitioners of Universal Medicine.

  126. The power of stillness is quite exquisite and the loudness of the body undeniable, guiding us to live in honour of the tender beings we are, forever deepening this connection as we commit to loving ourselves in this way. A truly gorgeous modality.

  127. Using such everyday things like showering, feeling your finger tips, feeling your feet. Really great reminders to simply feel, something i know for me, is a constant thing to do, to use these every day things to bring myself back to my body.

  128. I am amazed sometimes how much I am looking for techniques and ways to find myself and at the same time do so many things on a daily basis, that disconnect me from myself. If I just left out some of those habits (nervous tension, anxiousness, overeating…) I would naturally feel me and live Esoteric Yoga.

  129. It is a blessing to have a practice where our body speaks loud to us, so every choice we make is amplified in our feeling and this certainly reveals what harms and what heals!

  130. I love your shower ritual Lee – this is as much Esoteric Yoga as are the classes, it is the modality brought into life. A great example of what The Livingness is.

  131. I find that what I learn through my body in Esoteric Yoga classes, I can then apply in my day to day life. Such as little things like you mention Lee, feeling the touch of the fingertips . Esoteric Yoga has played an integral part in my development of the awareness that I have of my body and the regular practise of Esoteric Yoga helps me to develop and deepen this ongoing relationship.

  132. Thank you, Lee. Reading your words in itself felt like an Esoteric Yoga session – confirming the depth of connection you have embodied and live. Totally inspiring. Thank you for sharing.

  133. I agree Lee, it is a profound treatment. I so remember when I first started, I could never remember at what point I fell asleep! but I still felt incredibly rejuvenated afterwards. Over time I developed better support for myself so that I wasn’t as exhausted as I came to the yoga and I was able to stay awake and connected for longer…bit by bit. I am so pleased I stuck with it because it has made an enormous difference in my life.

  134. Thank you Lee, I am inspired to do some Esoteric Yoga again. It is simply the connection with the body that is so beautiful to have and I can feel Esoteric Yoga supports greatly with this.

  135. Thank you Lee, how powerful is Esoteric Yoga? It can be done even in the duny, (toilet) it is so simple and yet it can develop into a life changing rhythm.

  136. Esoteric Yoga does ‘amplify’ everything in the body. A wonderful description. It has supported my connection with stillness and my body deeply.

  137. I so agree Lee, esoteric yoga is a wonderful modality for bringing us back to our body and allowing us to turn up the volume on what the body expresses to us everyday. I too deeply appreciate the connection I have developed through connecting back to me through esoteric yoga.

  138. Thanks for your blog Lee and for sharing the beautiful connection with self that Esoteric Yoga gives you.

  139. I hadn’t been feeling quite right this morning so decided before I went any further I needed to stop so I did an esoteric yoga session. During my session I felt so many things magnified in my body but the key thing was maintaining a constant connection. I could identify when I wanted to checkout or drift off and I could feel what my mind was wanting to run to. It was amazing how much lighter I felt after my session, a foggy feeling was lifted and I was able to get into my day with a refocus and reminder to maintain the connection. Incredible what a difference it can make, from feeling flat and lethargic and heavy, to feeling light, clear, present and focused.

  140. I used to literally dislike esoteric yoga, I would be so uncomfortable in my own skin I just wanted it to end. Now I love it, and don’t mind being sitting or lying down, its miraculous that I can enjoy being in my body so much! I too are hugely appreciative of this modality.

  141. Totally agree with you Lee, Esoteric Yoga is I feel is an absolute necessity in this modern life that’s full of busyness and distraction to keep us away from what’s within. It really does bring a person back to themselves. Which gives a clear vision on the world, in life, with people, but essentially allowing a vision on oneself, to get to know self deeply. Certainly this has been my experience and whenever a new yoga class begins, find all this amplified, that the connection with the body and its honouring becomes more evident as the way forth, towards the universality of all life that is such joy.

  142. Yoga in the shower without doing any wild poses, instead doing what one does in the shower, being there, feeling the body and enjoying oneself. Yoga that can support and be practiced in every moment.

  143. Awesome Lee, I love how you have described esoteric yoga as “an amplifier from within” – this really hits the mark! I can relate to that initial ‘uncomfortable’ feeling as I connect again to my body, and this just shows me how not connecting with my body allows it to run in all sorts of directions (anxiousness, tension, stress) without me noticing it! Esoteric yoga is so great at getting through that and being able to connect with that loveliness inside that was actually there all along.

  144. I had my second esoteric yoga class yesterday, part of a 6 class online program and it was just awesome. Every time I just surprise myself of the new level of stillness I experience and how supporting esoteric yoga is. The class stays with me the whole week and gives me the most profound experience of what it means to be with myself and in connection with my body.

  145. Thank-you Lee, for this great example of ”by being with yourself and connecting to the stillness within, in whatever you are doing, is Esoteric Yoga in action”

  146. Absolutely awesome blog Lee, and perfect timing for me to be reading it, I loved the part you said about Esoteric Yoga and being present in your body:
Is like an early warning system for living in the world.

  147. I can feel everything that you shared Lee, is also true for me. Esoteric Yoga presents the opportunity for me to connect to my stillness, to the essence of who I am. It is this connection to this place within, as you said Lee, I had also always long for as it guides me as I move through life.

  148. Thank you for reminding me how powerful this modality is Lee and the blessing it provides with a committed student and practitioner working together. What a lovely relationship to have with yourself and with another.

  149. Thanks Lee for a powerful blog. I could feel your deep connection to your body flow through your words. I am looking forward to starting esoteric yoga online shortly.

    1. I agree Helen, as I read Lee’s words I could feel myself coming into a deeper connection with my own body. Amazingly powerful modality!

  150. Reading your words Lee has brought me right back to my body. I can feel the strength of my connection to my body and I have taken a moment to really appreciate the power of this. Thank you.

  151. Esoteric yoga has brought similar realisation and relationship with my body as you Lee. You have described it well, it is such an incredible modality in that it allows a very real connection to be built. I went from living in the raciness of my mind to living in and from my body. This creates far less exhaustion and changes everything because you are actually there with yourself!

  152. Esoteric Yoga is such a simple and profound modality, I can say it has literally changed my life. What I find is that Esoteric Yoga requires me to take responsibility for my part in my own healing. It calls me to not rely on someone else to do the work for me, but it asks me to simply connect and feel my body. Within that, deeply healing can take place, should I be open to it. Esoteric Yoga classes provide a foundation from which I can then build on my connection with me in my daily life.

  153. I’m a big esoteric yoga fan too, having spent most of my life in a fantasy world in my head, esoteric yoga has helped bring me back to the beauty of presence. I love that steady feeling when I feel my feet on the ground – I feel prepared for anything.

  154. Hello Lee, such a simple and powerful technique. I use to think yoga was all the crazy and difficult stretches but it is simply connecting to your body, anywhere and anytime and bringing awareness to how it feels, simple. Thanks to you Lee and Universal Medicine.

  155. Lee I also enjoy Esoteric Yoga and its simplicity, especially the fact that it helps me to truly honor what I am feeling in my body, very powerful.

  156. yes Lee, going deeper with that connection with ourselves can be confronting at first, but once we allow it to happen it can be amazing what we re-discover about ourselves. .

  157. Thank you Lee for sharing your story. Yes I too have experienced Esoteric yoga and have the fidgeting and restlessness of activity. Only to highlight how much I did not regard/listen to my body. Such truth that came from the stillness of yoga. Thank you for reminding me of this great truth.

  158. I read this blog a couple of days ago and it is still having an impact on me. As I go about my day committing to being more present with myself, I am reminded of this simple yet profound piece of writing.

    1. I have found the same Caroline. It seems apt that this blog is simple and powerful just like Esoteric Yoga – it is written in the very stillness and presence that Esoteric Yoga supports us to return to. Thank you Lee.

  159. The presence felt while I read this blog was amazing. I too love Esoteric Yoga and am deeply inspired – this sentence stood out for me ‘This simple feeling of me, being with me as I do something has been brought about over time by the steady commitment to be with me always.’ Thank you Lee for sharing and I too thank you Universal Medicine for sharing this wonderful modality.

  160. Thank you Lee for reminding me of the value and lovely presence it brings to the body. It is a while since I have been part of a class so maybe time to reconnect.

  161. Absolutely gorgeous Lee. A shower with body presence and not a million thoughts of the day sounds like a miracle. I too love Esoteric Yoga and the deep amazing support to let go and be with me, listening to my body, and when this open, present bodily quality goes with me into my days, it is nothing short of life changing.

  162. I’ve been itching to get some Esoteric Yoga action on and reading all these blogs about it is bringing my impatience to the surface. Ironic? Do I need some help with stillness? I think so!

  163. I also have a deep appreciation of the modality that is esoteric yoga. In the most simple way, we connect deeply back to our body and I experience the true essence of stillness during an esoteric yoga session. It highlighted the resistance that I was in to go deeper with myself and showed all the areas in my body where I was holding tension and unease. It is truly an extraordinary modality and like nothing I have experienced with “yoga” in the past.

  164. Esoteric Yoga is so radically different from any yoga I had experienced previously. No being the best in the class. No comparison, not even with yourself! No stretching beyond limits. No pain! Esoteric Yoga asks much more – that is an opportunity for union with ourselves, not an out of reach, meditate on a mountain connection, but a simple profound stillness and through that, connection.

    1. Absolutely Heather, and I find that in not doing all these postures or asanas, but focusing on the connection within, it can be far more challenging too as it does not offer a form of distraction or relaxation, but allows us to deeply connect with what we innately are, and in that are exposing everything we let get in the way of living that.

  165. I loved reading about your experience of Esoteric Yoga, Lee. I could feel your tenderness in what you wrote.

  166. Thank you Lee for sharing. Yesterday I started an online Esoteric yoga class every week for 6 weeks- and it was exquisite, to have such support to allow ourselves to reconnect to the stillness that is within is massive! I am very much looking forward to my next class as I unfold deeper into love within.

  167. The power of Esoteric Yoga, that in its practicality is so so simple, never stops to amaze me. As a presenter of this amazing modality I have been gifted with seeing the transformation of so many who have reconnected to what their body has been trying to communicate with them and to the lovely stillness and warmth that is within. It is as you say, truly a gift to all of us.

  168. Awesome, Lee. I can really feel the depth of your commitment to yourself in the words you shared here, and how choosing to practice Esoteric yoga has supported you so much in this way.

  169. “The results are profound, in that the body through these classes is made very loud, as if the technique of esoteric yoga that Universal Medicine & Serge Benhayon originally shared is like an amplifier for the wondrous sounds and indications within.: What a brilliant way of expressing what Esoteric Yoga shares, I have had this experience when I took a course in it, I felt very uncomfortable for awhile, but the deep stillness was profound, everything was ‘amplified’.

    1. Absolutely Samantha and Lee, how wondrous that there is so much richness, activity and communication when we take the time to stop, feel and connect to our inner essence. Esoteric Yoga provides such a simple but ever deepening space to connect and listen to our bodies and inner knowing.

  170. Thank you for sharing this Lee. I can feel the power of your connection to yourself in what you have written and the support that esoteric yoga offers.

  171. Some profound, yet simple pointers or tips in your Blog, when we connect to the sensitivity of our finger tips in all that we do and touch, it helps stay connected to ourselves and our tenderness in all that we do. I say this with an inner smile as I feel my tenderness as my fingers tips, gently type this comment. Thank you Lee for sharing your experience and the teaching in that.

  172. The modalities that have been bought through by Serge Benhayon are so simple yet so powerful and healing. Esoteric Yoga with its amazing ability to allow you to truly feel your body and where it is holding pockets of tension and create space and stillness has been invaluable for me. I got to feel how racey my mind was and how hard I was holding my body in certain areas. Although the modalities are simple, it took time to truly feel stillness in my body. But I could feel that Esoteric Yoga enabled me to connect to my body and to know when that connection had been lost.

  173. Hear! Hear! Lee. Esoteric yoga has helped me so much, especially through high school. It is such a powerful tool, as it lays a foundation of deep surrendering in my body that I can bring to all aspects of my life, especially school. I can even go into an exam room and instead of worrying about what I have to remember, I just sit and feel my finger tips on my legs and the pieces of paper I am holding. This creates an environment where I feel still and trust that I have done the work needed to help me pass this exam, therefore the worry just fly’s away.

  174. I also find that Esoteric Yoga connects me to my body and gets me used to the simplest of movements; movements that I might do a million times a day – but have done without me, without my presence and as a talking head and moving shell. Esoteric Yoga gets me in contact with all of me again and that I can then take into my day, every day.

  175. It is lovely to feel your commitment to yourself that has been developed by learning to stay with you in whatever you are doing. I can feel your love of yoga and your love of yourself.

  176. Dear Lee, the way you describe your relationship with yourself is very sound. What I get is that you have developed knowing who you are by the way that you feel, rather than the usual identifications of how you look, your social status, the car you drive, the work you do, etc. Developing this relationship is the key to living content with who we are.

  177. Hi Lee, I have also through the teachings and modalities of Universal Medicine learnt to reconnect to my body. It has been one of the most joyful experiences of my life to develop a connection to my body. My body is very wise and speaks very lovingly to me. In the past when I didn’t use to listen it had to shout to get heard!

    1. That is so true Nicola about the teaching and modalities of Universal Medicine being one of the most joyful experiences. I would even go so far to say that it’s better than Movie world in Queensland 🙂

  178. Thanks Lee I recently undertook a 4 week course with Victoria and have had a significant reconnection to myself, body & soul. The preciousness of stillness and the rediscovery of the wonder of my body has been just wonderful. I have a far deeper appreciation of how I have smashed my body – quite literally as parts of me ached that I had been ignoring and ‘pushing’ through. It is dee light full to have this re-a-light-ment!

  179. Can really feel you totally committed to the union you have with yourself. I hope you deeply appreciate this connection you hold.

  180. Often when I do esoteric yoga I feel really tired, it took me a little bit of time to be honest that this was because of how exhausted I truly was when I really stopped. With being more and more present in my body I can do the same amount of work or physical activity but not get so tired. It’s like when I’m not present, or in union with myself it’s like my batteries have a hole in them and I’m leaking energy all day long. Nobody taught me this at school or in my family growing up, I’ve been fortunate to have had access to the the teachings of the Ancient Wisdom through Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine.

    1. Great way to describe the lack of connection I used to live with constantly ‘It’s like when I’m not present, or in union with myself it’s like my batteries have a hole in them and I’m leaking energy all day long.’ Esoteric Yoga has supported me to reconnect to my body and start listening to the many messages I am given all the time.

  181. For me the beauty of Esoteric Yoga lies in its tenderness and simplicity – yet it is so incredibly powerful. It has helped me to appreciate where I am, feel my body again and allow myself to listen to and connect to it and to grow from this foundation.

  182. Esoteric Yoga is a great tool to become more aware. And it is indeed simple. For me one of the most tender tools I know. Thank you Serge Benhayon for bringing this through and clearing up with all the bastardized forms of Yoga.

  183. Thank you for sharing Lee, I feel the simplicity of you just being with yourself and how beautiful and powerful this is.

  184. Its a tender moment to re-read your blog Lee, after a few years. I still enjoy very much the tactile way you write about how your relationship with your body has changed. I agree, our early warning system never lets us down, if we are willing to listen.

  185. Thank you Lee, Esoteric Yoga has also helped me bring me back to that place that I know so well within myself where everyday worries and burdens mean nothing as I can see these for what they are, the simplicity of it and the stillness in my body that I re-connect to allows me to continue shedding that which is not serving anymore.

  186. Beautiful Lee. When you were describing the showering scene, I stopped when you talked about your feet on the ground in balance. Something I have realised not long ago was that my legs were not supporting an equal amount of weight. One was heavily underloaded and the other overloaded. I discovered this through connective tissue therapy. Since I discovered it I became aware of myself every time I was on my feet and started addressing the imbalance. It is amazing to feel standing on both feet solidly.

  187. I know that longing to be present and feel with me all the time Lee, and have found the practice of esoteric yoga has deepened my ability to be more in union with myself more of the time. Now, as you say, my body speaks loudly, in all sorts of different ways, and reminds me I can be gentle and present and loving with and to myself. When I am taking notice and responding that longing feeling that comes from the emptiness inside me that is only there because I am not connecting to myself, is no longer there, I feel complete.

  188. So simply said Lee. I found myself nodding in agreement at every word you wrote as I can relate to this completely. My body is indeed very loud with its messages and all I have to do is listen.

  189. Here here Lee – I have just finished an amazing yoga session this morning, and now with the true understanding of what yoga is.
Alas – it is not a questionable pose of limitless flexibility whilst making strange noises.
But rather as I do true yoga – it offers a connection to me, an opportunity for my body to speak loudly of how it is feeling. A union.

  190. I too have experienced the joy and the inner stillness of Esoteric Yoga. I have found it such an amazing modality to reconnect with my body and to my being. Esoteric Yoga is the true yoga, it is not about ‘doing’ postures or ‘doing’ breathing. It is simply about being you. This modality is a gift to humanity.

  191. Love how you are unfolding with Esoteric Yoga Lee, and that you are enjoying the tenderness of yourself as a man, which is just awesome to hear.

  192. “…like an amplifier for the wondrous sounds and indications within..” I love these words. They offer an insight into a practice that is true to the essence of what Yoga means to me. Now written eighteen months ago, re-reading this article makes me wonder if others have kept offering themselves this simple, powerful practice and if it has enriched their lives as it has mine.

  193. Beautifully and simply expressed, Lee, which is what Esoteric Yoga enables us to do, express with a whole body which is in awareness of itself, and that becomes a very joyful way of moving and being in daily life.

  194. This is beautiful Lee, ‘This simple feeling of me, being with me as I do something, has been brought about over time by the steady commitment to be with me always’. Very inspiring.

  195. I have tried Esoteric Yoga on a few occasions and found the feeling the same. It just feels like an opportunity to stop and feel how I’ve been living, and the result that that living has on my body. Simple but profound. 🙂

  196. Slowing down is the key. Stopping now and then to check in with the body. Thank you Universal Medicine!

  197. A beautiful sharing, Lee – thankyou. I too, have found Esoteric Yoga to be a profound way to connect back to the true me who lives inside of me all the time and who I sometimes lose sight of in the busyness of my day. Allowing myself the time to truly feel what my body is saying is amazing – if I choose to listen and respond.

  198. I have also been privy to the Esoteric Yoga sessions, and can completely relate to this being a time when your body speaks loudly! It’s incredible how sensitive this yoga allows us to be, and as a result, feel whats going on in our bodies. Something we can bring more and more to our life all the time! It’s a pretty amazing session to re-connect.

  199. I have only just experienced an Esoteric Yoga class and it was profound. It supported me to really feel how calm and connected with my body I can be. I slept so well after it. It really brought to my attention how I had been living in my body and how I might find more balance an harmony if I gave it more attention. It was amazing and I am looking forward to my next session. Thank you for sharing.

  200. Thank you Lee for describing how simple your life has become by practising Esoteric Yoga. I have also felt this myself. I no longer feel the drive to rush…I walk with my self.

    1. I agree Steve, a totally portable practice, no special mat or clothing…it can be as simple as how I walk.

      1. A totally portable practice. I love this Kathie. An esoteric yoga class never ever ends.

  201. Yes, I too can attest to the simplicity and at the same time to the profoundness of this modality. There is no forcing of the body to achieve an outcome, just a gentle allowing of everyone to deepen their connection with their body at their own pace.

    1. I agree, Jonathan – it is amazing how profound the Esoteric Yoga modality is especially given the subtleness of the movements. My body loves the deeper connection the modality helps to bring me. I would recommend it to everyone. I now find that I can bring this connection with me whilst I am going about doing my daily activities by bringing more focus, presence and attention to what I am doing and not thinking about what I have done or am going to do.

  202. As I read this I could feel that presence you have with yourself and at the same time I started to become aware of my own body while sitting and reading. I can relate to that feeling of discomfort and fidgeting, my mind often going at 100mph when I start to have a moment just to be with my body. But there is a deeper feeling that I get that underneath the uncomfortable it is well worth listening to the body and committing to paying attention. This blog confirms the feeling that with consistent application it can bring a steadiness and joy to our lives.

  203. Hi Lee, I can so relate to this. When I first started esoteric yoga I found it the most uncomfortable thing, but slowly it helped me rebuild my relationship with my body and start to learn there is a whole more tender graceful way to be, and I began to lose my fear of stillness and embrace it. You are right it is such a powerful blessing.

    1. Couldn’t agree more Meg. And the thing is, if you ask anyone presenting Esoteric Yoga, we all also of course had the SAME experience of ‘discomfort’, and for some time initially. I find this a good point to share, as so often participants can be so hard on themselves, and think it’s ‘only me’ finding it hard to be still with the body.

Personally, I found it torturous to begin with! Yet I knew there was a deeper level of connection to be had. My body was just showing me how far from it I’d been living.

And, the beauty of this modality is, it shows us, there is always a deeper level to connect to within and with oneself. How truly beautiful – that there is no end point, that we are all ever-expanding and deepening…

      1. So true Victoria. When I first joined an Esoteric Yoga group I was perplexed that being still and making such gentle movements could be so painful. Gradually I was surprised as I felt little or no discomfort when being still and making those same gentle movements. Every session is different and an adventure to feel a deeper level of connection within and with oneself.

      2. This is a good point to raise, Vicoria. Initially with Eosoteric Yoga I found it challenging and did not enjoy it very much. However I could feel this was why it was important to continue as this in itself was showing me something. Over time I grew to appreciate the depth I could go to within myself and now value the sessions I attend as a huge support for my body, The relationship with my body I have during these sessions is carried through into my day.

      3. A beautiful blog to read Lee. I can certainly relate to what you have shared here Victoria – “Personally, I found it torturous to begin with! Yet I knew there was a deeper level of connection to be had. My body was just showing me how far from it I’d been living”.
Any time I am challenged with being still in a class, it is a great exposure that something requires attention!

      4. It is very confirming and supportive for our comments to be shared here ladies, thank-you. Connecting with the Stillness that is within us is the most beautiful experience… and it’s so great also to have the opportunity and willingness to meet what may be impeding/in the way of that for us. Letting this go, is a necessary part of the process, and something that when accepted (as part of the process), can reveal our Stillness, or deeper levels of it, to us. It is ongoing, and truly beautiful.

  204. Thanks Lee, I completely agree and recently had the opportunity to have a one-on-one esoteric yoga session. It was an incredibly supportive session and I felt a real re-connection. Before Universal Medicine presented Esoteric Yoga my only understanding of Yoga was some painful exercise! How different it is to experience True Yoga.

  205. I loved reading your blog Lee and also all the comments… I too find Esoteric Yoga an amazing way of re-connecting to my body on a deeper level. It is such a beautiful gift from Heaven.

  206. Thank you for sharing Lee, I love how you say Esoteric Yoga ‘allows me to truly feel and act on what is felt’. It has done the same for me, by bringing more awareness to my body and its movements, I am now more in touch with my body and can feel how it responds to certain situations, foods etc.. Rather than thinking I should do this or not do that, my body lets me know what to do, very clearly at times!

  207. Thanks for the encouragement – I am half way through a 6 week Esoteric Yoga programme with Vicky and am finding my body is speaking in many ways that perhaps are uncomfortable to feel. On the other hand, I feel deeply deeply connected to my body at the same time, more than I have ever felt (this is an online course as well!). The wonders of esoteric yoga outstretch my mind for sure, but my heart loves it completely!

  208. Lee, what a beautiful way to start my day reading your blog – an inspiration to deepen my commitment to myself. I am currently in an Esoteric Yoga program and I love it.

  209. An inspiring reminder of how treating ourselves with love and tenderness enables us to feel what our bodies are telling us, instead of waiting for that ‘red-light’ moment that brings us to a stop.

  210. Thanks for sharing, you have inspired me to write about my latest experience with esoteric yoga.. where I have gone to a deeper level of connecting with me. Never before in any yoga classes have I really found true union with me. Look out for my next blog… on its way soon!

  211. Thank you Lee for your beautiful post. I remember when I used to do other forms of yoga and how in class, even though I was there for me, I was often finding myself comparing myself to others. If I could stretch further, then I felt good, but if I couldn’t stretch as far then I felt not so good. I have even experienced injury and pain from other forms of yoga. An osteopath I once knew said that most of his work comes from injured yoga students. In esoteric yoga we have our eyes closed most of the time and the focus is inward and feeling the body rather than trying to out-do someone with a certain pose or stretch.

  212. Lee I can feel in this piece the gradual development of your own love for you and the dedication it takes to deeply honour your self. It is beautiful to feel. Thank you for your inspiration.

  213. Yes I agree Lee, these classes are very profound. I am constantly amazed at the depth of rest and body restoration. So simple…yet so powerful. We are truly amazing and super yummy human beings…and the classes allow me to feel and claim that more and more.

As a presenter of this modality, I absolutely love seeing and feeling students at the end of a class…quite a transformation occurs as they connect to their exquisite essence and gentle nature. I often observe how people don’t want to leave the yoga room because it’s such a lovely feeling in the room…a marker of how it could be 24/7.

Thank you Universal Medicine for such a blessing.

    1. Hear, hear Marika. To feel how deeply restorative and profound Esoteric Yoga is for my own body, and also feel the depth of true rest and transformation in others’ bodies, is truly amazing. This is something I have not seen elsewhere in life – especially in the fact that we ‘do’ and allow this for OURSELVES, and hence can readily take what we may feel and apply in a class, into our daily living. How we live then feeds us back for our next class or session, and so on.

This modality is indeed an absolute blessing, and something that feels to be a deeply self-honouring way of supporting ourselves to live in these modern times.

  214. Thank you Lee for recording your experiences with this profound modality. I too have just written something about it as it has been one of the most powerful support tools in my life.

  215. I have found that the beauty of esoteric yoga lies in its simplicity, which has helped me to move away from my choices to complicate life.

    1. Same here Rod after a session I feel supported to go about my day keeping things much more simple.

  216. This is such a beautiful and poignant sharing, Lee. Esoteric Yoga as a modality, offers us the opportunity to know ourselves more deeply, and live lovingly, via supporting a reconnection ‘back’ to being with ourselves in our bodies.

This is a process which, as you have shared, takes time and dedication, and allows us to be in touch with what we are feeling in the body, that we may respond with choices based upon love for self first and foremost, rather than self-negation or harm. In no way is this ‘self-ish’, for true self-love benefits everyone around us.

It is always a deep honour to present this modality, and personally, continue in my own learning and development, of truly honouring ‘me’ in my everyday living – both the amazing being that I know I am, and so importantly, my body, such a wondrous vehicle with which I engage in life, walk, shower, eat, sleep, relate, express…

I have come to know that the simplest of everyday things can be a Joy, when I am ‘with me’. And so it is exquisite to read your words of the same experience – something we all can share in a very real and tangible way.

  217. I can tangibly feel the commitment here that Lee has to himself and to knowing his body from the inside out. I too truly love and appreciate the support that esoteric yoga brings to my daily living.

  218. Lee this is also my experience of Esoteric Yoga, very different from my experiences of traditional yoga….

    1. Me too Toni, with traditional yoga I kept pushing my body more and more, further away from feeling my body as I tried to get the ‘perfect pose’. Esoteric Yoga asks me to connect and feel of and be aware of everything that is happening in my body, 2 very different experiences.

  219. I have been aware the last few weeks of how we, generally, won’t wait for orange traffic lights. Have you noticed? I could see how when I was faced with one on the roads, I too was pushing through them, because I wanted to get to the other side and not have to be detained.

But because I have become aware of this, I have stopped doing that, instead stopping when the yellow lights indicate that I should. When I drove home last night, I became aware that this was a great allegory for the body. How many orange lights to we push through – ending up in some kind of accident, when our bodies finally crash?

What I feel is that the more we can stay in union with ourselves, the more we are able to catch the body’s orange lights, respectfully resting when we are indicated to do so. I have much to learn about this!

The beauty being brought to our attention by the esoteric yoga classes is something that, as Lee writes, can be brought into everyday life.

    1. I love it- lets listen to the orange lights so they do not need to become red!

Beautiful, simple and inspiring blog by Lee also.

    2. What a great way allegory! I also appreciate how this practise of connecting, or being in union with our body, can support us in everyday life. I have experienced that Esoteric Yoga is a great way to be aware of, and to deepen, that connection.
