I met Serge Benhayon for the first time in June 2008 in London. My first impression, without having heard him speak, was one of simplicity and warmth. If I had been honest my true feeling was to never ever leave his side again.
I spent ten days in England that time for a couple of Universal Medicine workshops and courses. An amazing experience which would change the way I saw and understood life. This was mostly something I felt on a deeper level, not something my mind could understand at the time.
The first times I personally spoke to Serge Benhayon we did not have long conversations. Actually, for a long time I was not able to be close to him for more than a few minutes. But that was all okay, for Serge has the ability to say it all in only a few words, two if needed. The few words he said to me were “be love” and “just be all that you are”.
In the years after I never forgot these words. Somehow they were always there in the back of my mind. I can see now that I have been trying very hard to not feel who I truly am. This was before I met Serge, but I also continued to feel that way for quite some time after that event. I did not want to see the simplicity of what he teaches – to just be ourselves.
Today it is not clear what exactly happened that made me stop resisting, but I did.
Today I choose to come back to this precious beautiful being that is me, every time I get distracted.
Today somehow it’s just not possible, or at least too painful, to do or think anything that is not loving and supporting of me.
It all began with the words “Be Love” and I am finally allowing myself to be just that…
The Truth about Universal Medicine 
Keeping things simple really supports us to be love.
Everyday we can find examples of simple words such as “be love” being used, so then why is this instance more powerful than others? It’s the energy that it comes from that makes a difference.
Beautiful Katinka, simple, heartfelt and very inspiring what you have shared. Reading about the many students of Universal Medicine who are returning to be the love they are is simply gorgeous. It’s very beautiful knowing people around the world are freeing themselves from painful and joyless ways of living to ‘be love’ again. And, I’m right there with you all.
‘Be Love’ This gives powerful meaning to the saying ‘Less is more’.
Be love – it is so simple, and that is everything. We might try our hardest making it complicated, but that is where it comes back to, no matter how long we make our detour to be.
“Be Love” it is really so simple and expanding on the level of Love we can live then becomes a life-times pursuit, of simple living as a reflection of that Love!
Doug reading your comment it feels beautiful to reflect on how much we have all changed because of those simple words “be love”, and the connection we all have now to the true love within ourselves, a lot for us all to appreciate.

When we are ‘just being all that we are’ we are actually living our potential.
To be love is simply to be who we truly are, and the difficulties I had with that is I simply overrode what I felt and then I was not love. Making more loving choices has helped me choose my truth, and from there I feel the love that I am.
I think the simplicity of those few words might take some time to really understand and let be in our life. That is how I have related to them anyways. Be love is not about doing anything but an honouring and celebration of what is already within waiting to just be (love).
The same with, ‘just be all that you are’ ; this can take some time to be all that we truly are.
You’ve answered the unknown of what it was that stopped the resistance. It’s that in fighting it, we exhaust ourselves to the point where we exhaust the want to resist and accept that we are love.
These simple words of wisdom ‘be love’ and ‘be all that you are’ hold volumes of value for us to explore, as they offer us the answer, the way for us as a humanity to live our true potential, our imminent future together in brotherhood. If we all embraced the truth that we are love in essence, and lived in connection to this quality, we then will begin to see what it is to live true freedom, power and the magnificence that we already innately are.
These simple words of wisdom would hold a very strong foundation for all of life if we were to honour them.
To ‘be love’ is the most powerful ingredient that brings so much understanding about life, others and the relationship with ourselves.
So true Anna – when this is the foundation of how we live it is joy that continues to inspire to explore, learn, be and live more and anything less feels like abuse.
What I can feel is how powerful it is when words are spoken with a vibration that matches with the truth represented by the words, and we do not need many words to communicate that truth.
Authorizing another one to be all that is already inside is a beautiful act of profound love.
It is all we have to be because it is who we are, where we are from and what we are made of, yet I for one, needed Serge to remind me of what I have always known but not lived, therefore have slowly forgotten and replaced that knowing under a few layers! Unpeeling those layers takes a while but is so worth it because life is simpler being who we are.
I am beginning to get a sense of what ‘Be love’ truly means in my life. For a long time after meeting Serge Benhayon I didn’t get what Serge meant by ‘Be love’ and if I’m honest I am still learning what it means to live from the love that I am. The word love has been so misinterpreted in all areas of our lives but every untruth including the bastardised meaning of this word called out in my life I am saying yes to being the love I am.
‘Be love’, was equally a gradual unfolding of what was meant by these two simple yet powerful words.
Those few words ‘Be love’ and ‘just be all that you are’ are so simple and yet if we could all fully understand what this means and could adhere to it we would have heaven on earth.

We are all evolving to live who we truly are, to live our power, and magnificence.

Katinka, I’m not sure what has happened for me either, I can so relate to what you are saying as I am, after a number of years of fighting it, starting to accept that all I need to do is ‘be love’.
HA! I love your positive reaction to Serge’s words ‘Be Love’. I for one, can say I have felt very disgruntled hearing those words, particularly when I first heard them. Be love? What does that even mean. It used to drive me mad. As I slowly shed layers of hurt and protection, I’m warming to the idea…I mean it makes perfect sense, ‘be all of you’, what else is there to do on this planet if not be all of who we are? It’s perfect, and testing all at the same time.
I love the simplicity yet a power punch of a blog to bring it back to who we truely are – Love. When in the thick of it, “be love” & “just be all that you are” is all the confirmation I need – thank you.

When words are spoken from one who lives love as Serge Benhayon does, they are incredibley powerful and amazingly healing – and we all have access to this when we choose love.
When the two simple words ‘be love’, are mouthed by one who live this in full, it can have the effect of dismantling within us all that we have put in place to not live this love, if we are ready and we heed the call.
I have often heard the words “Be Love” from Serge and as simple as those words are it is it seems to me to be incredibly hard to honour them as there is so much rubbish in the way. Mostly self bashing stuff like a sense of worthlessness, lack of any appreciation. So there is a lot of discarding that takes place before the love can grow and blossom but when that spark reignites once again in our bodies it is such a grand feeling and the warmth melts the cold heartedness we were living with to be replaced by a sense of joy that bubbles up from seemingly nowhere.
I feel that when people attend the workshops, presentations of Serge Benhayon there is a transformation that takes place and I feel it takes place in the body first and the mind gets in the way, but if you stay open to what is presented it just makes so much sense and that for me is when I came to the understanding that my body knows much more than my mind will ever know, so it’s more prudent to listen to the body as it doesn’t lie.
Beautiful Katinka. I recently been contemplating on my first encounter with Serge and the email exchanges too. My first words with Serge was how I always struggled for the truth and his constant reply I always receive is to live what I know. I have chosen to struggle in other words instead of being the love and all that I know.

Words of truth do not have to be long or complicated. They only have to deliver what is necessary to give anyone the opportunity to change his/her way of moving.
Thank you Katinka for a beautiful sharing of such simple words, words that hold the universe within them, for we are love made by love and come from love, and love is all there is, all the rest is an illusion.
It is simple and profound when what someone offers us, we choose to actually receive. It is all to common for us to reject all of life’s offerings and then act like we need answers, when in fact all of the answers are given to us time and time again.
It is a natural process, is it not, to get in touch with one’s Love – and then wrestle with it… Have we not done this over and over and over again, for millennia? And then, it becomes a powerful process – or we could say, one of self-empowerment, chosen from a very deep level of our own Will – to embrace this Love, and never turn back.
The realisation along the way, is that we needn’t have ever ‘turned back’, or indeed ‘turned our backs’ on Love in the first place. Yet to dwell in this past is not necessary, if the Glory becomes treasured and truly accepted within.

How we live as a humanity is quite far from the love that we are so it can take some time to let go of what we have come to think love is and return to a greater love within and allow this to be expressed.
The words ‘Be Love’ seem so simple but yet say it all.
When we simply choose love as our foundation, our whole life changes because our choices come from love first, rather than just a reaction to the outside world.
“Be Love” these words invite us to feel the quality of love, and to then live it. A quality that ignites every cell in our bodies that brings absolute joy to the moment, the minute, the hour, the day, the life in which we choose to live it.
In the simplicity of Love, we know who we are and can live that day in and day out. Be Love is a gorgeous reminder to simply be who we are and see that same love in everyone else.
It’s just like receiving a hug from Serge. There is nothing half hearted about it.
It is in the simplicity of embracing the love within ourselves that we can know that life is not about self but the interconnectedness of the love that we all are.
How can two words like that, two words we might individually use a lot, now mean so much more? Answer is: the livingness of that love and being all of that. So hence, when Serge Benhayon has written those words or spoken them out, it comes with a livingness that carries the love of being, and hence, those words are no longer simply just words – but a living.

‘I did not want to see the simplicity of what he teaches – to just be ourselves.’ I can relate to this Katinka, I have done my best to be myself instead of surrendering to who I am. As when we choose to begin to honor and live our love, who we are in essence, we realise that this love is the truth of who we all are in essence and as such the lives we live is honor of us all.
The amazing thing about Serge Benhayon is that he does not only offer you words, but his words come with a lived way and the reflection of his livingness – this is what makes the transformation possible and ‘all of a sudden’ we are able to let go of old habits and really stubborn patterns, that we tried so hard to work on and get rid off – just gone as if they’d fallen off us.

‘Live the love you are’ were the words that Serge Benhayon spoke to me one of the first times that I met him. Beautiful words that are with me every day. When I ponder upon the effect they have had in my life I can feel that the love Serge holds us all with comes with any words he speaks and once spoken, they resonate deeply with in and never loose the energy with which they were offered.

The simplicity and warmth you speak of Katinka when first meeting Serge Benhayon reminded me of a song which described the first feeling of love we experience when young, as warmth and that this is a quality we deeply cherish and never forget. So choosing to reclaim that love for yourself again was a very natural choice to make.
It makes many uncomfortable to feel the love there is for Serge Benhayon, that one man can be so adored is not though a testament to his singularity as a man, but instead it is a testimony to what he represents, which is the living qualities of everyone, to a Universal grandness we are all from. So to love Serge, his presentations and his expression is a deeper expression of what comes humbly through him in his lectures, sermons and books, it is an expression of living a loving way of life that considers everyone and does not put anyone greater or lesser, a most real and practical answer to the messy world we have created and that so many of us are looking to change.

Its funny looking back and remembering being frustrated with hearing ‘be love’ in response to whatever dilemma at the time I believed I needed an answer for and yet find myself now smiling in knowing that in being love, all the answers you could ever need are there.

When we step away from ourselves we forget we are love, we forget we come from love. It can be as simple as eating the foods that will dull us or shrinking away from something that hurts us and closing down – therefore not feeling all the other things like the love that we are. After a while it is like a fading dream – did we ever really feel love? -did we just imagine it? – we look around at the world and we don’t see love, so it must not be true.
Serge Benhayon has come to remind us that we are love. We look at him and see who we are. He gives us this loving reflection. For many of us it has been so long since we knew this that it takes some convincing and a lot of unravelling of what is not us, before we can see this simple fact. Be love. Be all that you are.

In the past I didn’t want to hear the words ‘be love’, I wanted to be right and blame outside events for what may have happened, I now feel the power and joy when we are truly living these words.
What I find super special in these words is that they are not said from an intellect, an ideal way or a conceived notion, they are actually said with a deep deep love and this is felt and is far more powerful than the words themselves
So true Joshua, those two little words “Be Love” could sound like an instruction, and something you have to learn to be, but the way Serge Benhayon expresses it from the Love that he is, makes it impossible not to feel that Love is who we are, from inside out, there is no seeking, we are already there if only we choose to feel it.

Such simple words ‘be love’ and ‘be all that you are’. Words I also now live by to the best of my ability every day. It is the simplicity that holds us.
Life is all about trying, trying to be something that we are not, searching outside of us for for what we have not, when all the while all we have to be, is be love, the love we innately are, all the searching can then be over.
The simplicity that Serge Benhayon shares seeps into us and we gradually allow our resistance to melt and start to ‘Be Love’ and in turn share that with the world. This process cannot be analysed but has to be lived and felt.
Be love and be yourself. It is very simple and I know I have made it way more complicated than it needed to be. I thought complication showed intelligence but I cannot fathom why making it complicated to be me was at all intelligent. These days things are much more simple and when they start to complicate I know I’m on the wrong track.
Yes it seems the words ‘Be Love’ give you the end point. A point of grace and one could say the final destination. Be Love and Just be all that you are gives a feeling confirmation but it is up to us to discovery it for ourselves and then realise that these were all we ever needed to hear.
However until that point is reached it does seem necessary to pick apart the detail so we are able to remember what we have chosen to forget.
The words “just be all that you are” really say a lot to me. Placing just before it speaks of how Serge Benhayon lives – it is normal to be all that you are – nothing more, nothing less.
Not a single person in this world is born without the talent to be love. We all have it. Why is this not our main topic in school? Instead we indulge in learning things we naturally don’t have a talent for: how to bully, how to identify with what we do, etc.
Yes Felix it would revolutionise our education systems if Love was at the core of the curriculum and eliminate competition because we all innately know how to be love.

‘Be Love’ although I do not always listen to my body, it does know what ‘Be Love’ means and I know it is just a simple choice to accept this truth and take responsibility for what I know is the truth; we are love and we are surrounded by love.

I love how you describe not wanting to leave Serge’s side. I have felt that feeling of being truly at home in his eyes and voice – just so safe. I have as I am sure everyone has, been told by Serge to be love and often would feel helpless as if I did not know how to do this… A master of illusion and irresponsibility I have been! As I do know as do we all as we were born naturally being able to be love in fact that is all we knew he how to be, ourselves. To have a guiding light like Serge reminding us that it is that simple is heaven sent.

Your gorgeous blog reminds me that the key to dropping resistance is the choice to do so. This truth often leaves me feeling frustrated as my choice repeatedly show in all I do despite what words I may say. In truth I am grateful for this as the constant reflection of truth provided by my body and life itself continually asks me to be love.

I can remember feeling frustrated with being told ‘Be love’ as I did not know what this meant. I gradually realised I did not know what love was but with the presentations, workshops and healing sessions with Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine I have rediscovered the love within my inner-heart and know what it is to be love and who I am.
Now that I have re-discovered that I am Love – anything less is incredibly painful and enormously taxing on my body. Learning to trust that there is Love all around, that it never leaves our side, that it communicates with us all the time and that anything less is in fact a choice I make with free will has been the greatest and most rewarding path of return.

The resistance disguises in so many forms. Sometimes it’s not in disguise and we can see it as obvious like having tons of food and feeling horrible afterwards. But sometimes we feel great, because we can identify with something big that we have achieved. Here it gets tricky, when the energy we used to reach the milestone wasn’t love. Honesty is my servant then to reconnect to “being love”.

If I have asked a question in the past the answer was always just what I needed to hear, not necessarily what I wanted, and absolutely perfect.

I love the simplicity of the words “be love” as they speak volumes. Ohh… That one was a precious reminder Katinka! I dropped into my body and surrendered deeper immediately.
I too have the same experience Katinka de Lannoy. I could not imagine that life could be that simple as nobody else has ever told me this before I met Serge Benhayon. This story shows us the power of love and the power of words, and especially in this case when words are expressed from love. Only two words expressed form the love we all innately are from and are deep inside connected to, can be life changing as so beautiful described in this blog. Words expressed from love can deconstruct all that we have created and helps us to return to a life in co-creation with the love that we are continuously impulsed with.

It is incredible how we struggle with the simplicity and profoundness to the words, ‘Just be all that you are’ and ‘Be Love’. It is the only instructions we require to live a full life but we get lost and struggle with all the ‘details’.
Be Love: two words that encompass so much in their simplicity. Thank you for reminding me that we don’t need many words to express the truth.

Katinka, this reminds me of a time where it was reflected to me to simply be love. I pondered on it for a very long time, and then decided that is exactly what I would do! I understand what you mean, that to be anything other than totally loving with myself and others is just not possible.
Amazing Katinka that you have let go of the resistance to ‘be love’. I know for me, I express more love today than I used to through the way I choose to look after myself, but I can still absolutely feel a resistance to embody being love completely. I feel a huge responsibility with that and a resistance to committing all the way. However, even as I write this I realise that it’s a fear of failure, ‘what if I say I commit to being love, and then one day I slip up?’. And yet I’m remembering the many many times Serge Benhayon has expressed that being love is not about perfection. So, perhaps it is possible that I have been choosing love all along, and some days I’ve fallen off the wagon and had a wobble, and there is no one judging me…but me.
Katinka the mind does not need to understand, we feel deep down and we know that love is everything. Thank you for sharing.

I find it almost bewildering that love is actually who we are and so to say ‘be love’ is simply saying ‘be the real you’. I wonder if our inability to be love in every moment is simply a reflection of how much we have taken on that covers up the real us. For me Universal Medicine has supported me to slowly discard the things that I have taken on that prevent me from being love.
Be love. Be love? Be love! It seems so simple yet we make it so hard. When we are coming from the simplicity of just being love in each and every moment then everything seems to fall in place. It is a beautiful experience when I am able to simply be love.
Lee this comment made me giggle as I have done just that “Be Love. Be Love? Be Love!” While resisting we can’t see how simple it actually is, but in those moments of clarity we get to see how simple it was all along!

Serge can say so much in so few words. If we chose to live these words the world would be a completely different place. I am still working out exactly what these wise words look like in my life. In the beginning I was so overwhelmed by the simplicity of what was presented I didn’t know when to start. Slowly but surely I began to make choices that were truly loving and supportive. The best part is that this never ends. Being all that you are is a forever expanding and evolving process and I am constantly inspired by the changes I see in my life when I choose to live the love that I am.

I was the same Katinka, when I first heard the words ‘be love’, ‘just be yourself’ I had no idea what Serge Benhayon was talking about because although I thought I was being love, I just didn’t know what the word truly meant and I definitely thought I was being myself. Now, with a better understanding of what these words mean I have realised how little I knew about myself, or more accurately, how little I was prepared to be honest with myself.

I think simplicity can scare me sometimes. ‘is it really that easy – just be me and choose love?’
I’ve been used to complicated – so that has been easier for me to accept.
But more and more as I consciously make choices to support me, I understand the power of simplicity. There is not enough of it. And when I do choose to just ‘be me’ there is so much that changes. The way I do things, the way people around respond to me. It has a ripple through everyone I meet.

I have also heard these words many times and have pondered them and tested them much. After testing them out along with many other philosophies I have heard elsewhere I can say that they really hold the key to life – so simple but if the majority of humanity lived by these words then the world would look very different. There are many already who are already living to the best of their ability these simple words and it is making a difference.

When I was first inspired by Serge Benhayon to “be love”, I really had no idea how to even be without the doing. Gradually I have become more aware of the simplicity of this expression and how powerful it is, if we were all to just “be love”. The world would – and will – be a different place if we allowed ourselves to be who we truly are deep inside – love.
Serge Benhayon is a living, walking, breathing example of somebody who simply is love. Having this example has taken away much of the complication of what it is to “be love”.

Yes I can relate to this, I was confounded by the simplicity of being told to ” be love” at first, it took quite a while to get the ease of simply allowing life to be and bringing my tenderness to it.
There is always more to grow and learn, I understand so much more than I used to, but the words “be love” still inspire me and call me to be more.
