God is in the Detail

A beauty-full friend recently said to me “God is in the details.” I laughed and said I’ve only ever heard the idiom “the devil’s in the details,” and never understood it. Detail has always made sense to me, it supports me to feel very centred and still, so how could it be a bad thing?

I realised I had just been presented with the truth… God really is in the details.

This truth often reveals itself to me in my everyday life. My most beauty-full moments have all occurred when I have been present or paid attention to detail in the task I am doing.

For example, when I cook with attention to detail the meal looks and smells amazing. I will notice how the colours blend together; I will use ingredients that I may not have combined before. I will notice how the food sounds and I will cook according to when it feels ready, using my eyes as confirmation of what I have already felt. Then when I come to eat the food, if I continue with this loving level of attention to detail – setting the table with care, sitting in a supportive chair feeling my body as I sit, feeling the fork in my hand, using my senses to really experience the food – the food tastes amazing. I may have just cooked the simplest meal and magically become a gourmet chef! I have also noticed that the meal is filling without bloating: I was present with every morsel of food so a small amount feels like a 3 course meal. Needless to say I am then not hungry for hours or looking for something sweet to perk up my taste buds.

This attention to detail makes all the difference to the quality of my meal and the quality of how I feel.

On the days when I look and feel the most beauty-full, it has always been possible because of the attention to detail I have allowed when I have prepared for my day. If I continue to bring this level of presence to every moment of my day with loving consistency – not a driving for perfection – my day just flows. There is such a joy to my day. Time feels endless and I get so much done. I feel light and lovely but so grounded and real. It is like I realise everything means something so I am attentive and right with me in every moment.

On days when I feel tired or in a rush, I have found that the most loving way to support myself is to stop, breathe, come back to my body and re-connect and once again bring my attention to detail. The world slows down around me and I am enveloped by this exquisite space. I feel whole again. I honestly feel connected to all and without a doubt feel the presence of God. How could I not? – I feel full of love in these moments and truly precious. I deeply appreciate that detail is such a supportive element, without it my life doesn’t flow.

If you have ever watched the wind blowing through the trees and felt the absolute harmony and stillness of the movement of the leaves as they dance and glide in unison together creating a ripple of harmony through the air, you will feel the beauty that detail can bring. Perhaps you have spent time staring at a baby, mesmerised by their beauty and the absolute love that radiates from them; detail contributes to this feeling too.

It did dawn on me as I was appreciating detail that by bastardising the truth of this idiom that God Is In the Detail, so many people may have inadvertently rejected bringing detail to their lives. I began to ponder on what other truths are bastardised to keep us separate from a true support that is there for all of us equally. What truths are kept from us that provide true inspiration and make a massive difference to us living a life full of true vitality and wellness?

I will forever be inspired by Serge Benhayon, his love for humanity, the presence he brings and his attention to detail. Heart-full thanks and appreciation Serge for bringing all of you.

  1. Beautiful to read how your attention to detail has such an impact on you and your day, ‘On the days when I look and feel the most beauty-full, it has always been possible because of the attention to detail I have allowed when I have prepared for my day. If I continue to bring this level of presence to every moment of my day with loving consistency – not a driving for perfection – my day just flows.’ Truly inspiring.

  2. Taking loving care of the detail reaps benefits in many ways, ‘This attention to detail makes all the difference to the quality of my meal and the quality of how I feel.’

  3. You can really feel the love and joy expressed in the blog by being present with every detail – thank you Bianca. We can forget how much our own love and care can mean to the quality of our day and to those around us. Very inspiring to read this again.

  4. When I think about it, God’s detailing is everywhere and infinitely incredible. The awareness of this detail will depend on my connection first, which I choose through the details of how I move, breathe, take care of myself, how I interact with people, the thoughts I allow etc. It is a choice to see it and is heavenly when I do.

  5. “On the days when I look and feel the most beauty-full, it has always been possible because of the attention to detail I have allowed when I have prepared for my day.” I have had this same experience, and it makes an enormous difference to be present with ourselves and tend to every detail with love and care. I can see I could bring more of this into other areas of my day.

    1. To be present with ourselves with all we do, in purpose, makes such a difference, ‘feeling my body as I sit, feeling the fork in my hand, using my senses to really experience the food’.

  6. When we give our attention to detail, we open up space and give life to that which would otherwise get ignored.

    1. Giving attention to detail helps support our connection to our bodies, ‘My most beauty-full moments have all occurred when I have been present or paid attention to detail in the task I am doing.’

  7. The detail that goes into a painting like the Mona Lisa by Leonardo sure put God in the simplicity of the detail that can capture the world. So as you have shared Bianca, “God is in the detail” and remains within that detail because of the unifying conscious presence we hold when we go about our day and imprint life with our Soul-full-essences.

  8. I agree, the days I feel most beautiful and precious is when I have taken into account the detail – the detail of how I shower, how I do my make up & my hair, how i put my clothes on & choose the shoes to wear. Everything matters & everything either supports a connection or weakens it & the more attention we pay to the detail, the more beauty we can see in the world.

      1. Absolutely, Greg – have you ever noticed that you can walk like you don’t care? Or like you are so exhausted that you don’t even want to move? So many times I’ve caught myself in the midst of it and thought “you gotta change that!”

    1. And this is also true when we walk ‘stuck up’ and where our noses become stuck to the ceiling. You Gotta Change that Habit as it becomes difficult to walk let alone see where we’re going!

  9. When we are not aware of the detail in all that we do we miss out on the all that is there for us to feel.

    1. When we bring the detail it opens us up to feel so much more, ‘There is such a joy to my day. Time feels endless and I get so much done. I feel light and lovely but so grounded and real. It is like I realise everything means something so I am attentive and right with me in every moment.’

  10. With attention to detail we naturally bring more care into what we are doing and as long as we don’t get lost in that at the expense of the bigger picture we are fine.

    1. Brining more care into what we are doing, helps support presence, and, ‘when I cook with attention to detail the meal looks and smells amazing.’

  11. What we learn from appeciating the finer details in life is that one small moment can be everything, we tend to only focus on the bigger moments in life but there is equal grandness and equal magic in the smallest moment or the tiniest detail. It helps us learn that every part of life is the same.

  12. When we’re feeling that connection with our bodies – paying attention to how we move, what’s going on within and around us, there’s a depth and a beauty to every single experience.

  13. When we rush to finish something the quality of our movements are lost, and the hardness starts to register, which we don’t like the feeling of and then the actions to subdue what we feel comes into play. Attention to detail asks us to be even more responsible for our movements and how this affects everyone around us.

  14. There is something very beautiful in the detail of things, it allows us to feel that it is absolute.

  15. So true.. it’s much easier to feel our divinity and the interconnectedness and beauty around us when we’ve taken deep care of our bodies and already feel that within. Self care feels like the foundational prerequisite to everything else that comes afterwards.

  16. There’s so much beauty in the details too and so much we can learn from the small moments in life – if we just rush past and miss them then we are missing out on something magical.

  17. I certainly appreciate Serge Benhayon and the detail he goes to with truth. He reads everything. I am understanding now how important it is to read everything that is shown to you. Through the reading, you can expand more into the intelligence of what the universe is offering you.

  18. It’s like looking through a magnifying glass. The beauty and intricacy of details can only be explained by the grandness it belongs to and the space it is held within.

  19. When I skim over the details I am missing the opportunity to deepen my connection to God and my soul. It is interesting then that we live in a world where everyone is pressured with time and rushing around very busy, we then feel disconnected and lost and can easily feel exhausted and anxious.

    1. Coming back to detail supports us to come back to ourselves, ‘On days when I feel tired or in a rush, I have found that the most loving way to support myself is to stop, breathe, come back to my body and re-connect and once again bring my attention to detail.’

  20. There is such beauty, richness and support in detail, and it’s all around us … I notice that when I skirt over detail it’s often a marker for me to show that I’ve not truly attuned to and with myself. Detail ensures nothing can ever be boring and life is a joy.

  21. Very beautifully shared Bianca. It is also my experience that when we move in connection to our essence, we are moving in connection to our Soul through which our relationship with God which is a given, is absolutely felt. For every moment we move with this presence, to its finest detail, the more we live the power of who we truly are in essence as the Sons of God.

  22. Details. When I notice them I appreciate and glory in the. If I find myself glossing over them, it’s telling that there’s something I’m not wanting to see or feel. And now I can feel that as I appreciate my attention to detail, life opens up and I am more aware of the Divinity all around and in me. God in the details for sure.

    1. Thanks Monica, I sometimes have that same thing where I want to rush through something or skim over it, great point about those occasions being about something we may not want to see or feel.

  23. When I am in a rush to just get thinks done this creates a lot tension and anxiety in my body, when I slow down and pay attention to the details of what I am doing, space opens up and there is a gentle flow to life.

  24. “If you have ever watched the wind blowing through the trees and felt the absolute harmony and stillness of the movement of the leaves as they dance and glide in unison together creating a ripple of harmony through the air, you will feel the beauty that detail can bring.” – It’s so cool that you mentioned this observation Bianca as I had an identical experience last summer while on a walk in the woods, feeling very still inside my body and noticing how the wind was caressing the trees and leaves in a way that matched the silky feeling I had in my body as I breathed so gently with my walk. I can feel now just how much I was feeling God in that moment.

  25. Thank you Bianca – this blog is a great reminder to remain in the moment and present with the body. I am aware that when being totally present with the detail in whatever is being done, there is an exquisite sense of harmony and flow throughout the day.
“This truth often reveals itself to me in my everyday life. My most beauty-full moments have all occurred when I have been present or paid attention to detail in the task I am doing”.

  26. Thank you Bianca, I could feel how detail keeps one in the moment, enjoying and tending to whatever we are doing fully, and allowing us the opportunity to stay connected to our love and bring this into each moment. I really enjoyed reading about the space you felt by being in the detail also.

  27. “I was present with every morsel of food so a small amount feels like a 3 course meal. Needless to say I am then not hungry for hours…” This was a real penny-dropping moment for me. Awesome.

  28. I used to think that God only appeared in the beauty of nature and unaware that it was everywhere. For instance when I lived in the UK, I loved Spring and Summer and parts of Autumn but disliked Winter. But now realise that the seasons are all essential cycles of life that God presents to us. God is in everything and everywhere.

Thank you for sharing the depth of observation and intimacy even in preparing food we eat – I just love these sharing.

  29. You bring a beautiful and inspiring practicality to detail. There is only love and support in detail, it allows for a solid foundation.

  30. ‘I was present with every morsel of food so a small amount feels like a 3 course meal’. This is so true, and when I get into being in a rush, (esp at work, on a 15 min break to eat food) I am not present with every mouthful, I am feeling it is time to change this.

    1. Yes, so the fullness comes from the presence in every moment and not from how much we get/eat/have etc.

  31. When we are aware of the smallest detail in our movement we feel the love in the movements that become part of the all.

    1. Bringing more detail into how we live is really supportive, ‘I deeply appreciate that detail is such a supportive element, without it my life doesn’t flow.’

  32. With greater awareness and being consciously present more often my attention to detail is growing.

  33. Attention to detail really can make a big difference to the quality that we produce something in – not from a perfectionism angle but from caring for all the details as is felt is needed – no more and no less…

    1. I like this clarity Fiona when we take care of the details – no more or no less… so we don’t leave ourselves drained by giving too much and we never give less – just what is needed in any moment.

  34. I love it how God communicates with the tiniest details and how he shows his sense of humour. The placement of leaves, the flight of a bird, the number plate on the car in from of you or the writing on a passing truck. Opening up to this level of communication is a growing thing for me and is something that brings huge joy. You can’t help but smile when you have that kind of communication with God.

    1. Beautifully expressed Nikki. I am with you as in opening up to this level of communication with God more and more, leaves me feeling like I am bursting with absolute joy in knowing that we are connected to and part of something far greater than anything of this world.

    2. When I have experiences like that I am in the awe of the detail that must have gone into that so I could receive the Magic of God in that moment, I can’t really fathom it all in the way it all comes together, but I can feel the immense love and care we are all held in.

  35. A riveting blog to my hearts ‘detailed’ content. I love the examples that were used and I whole-heartedly agree.
When I focus on the detail life flows. This works for me especially when I am busy. It holds me to my quality. I have experimented with this and it may seem that you drag the chain or can’t achieve as much, but because of the attention to detail it completes how it is needed. It works every time. “I realise everything means something so I am attentive and right with me in every moment.”

  36. It is lovely to read this and is a beautiful confirmation of my present focus to deepen my relationship with myself and the Universe. Also I realise how subtly I have been cursed by the saying of ‘the devil being in the detail’ as I notice how I would so often not take notice of the detail.

  37. When we rush we don’t get to appreciate the detail and the space around us seems to shrink. When we stop and take a moment to appreciate what is around us, we see so much more and the details around us reveal the magic of God is in everything.

    1. Also when we rush we are not taking responsibility in the moment and I ask myself what am I am avoiding, or am afraid of, in the moment when I rush?

  38. If I skim over the details and rush in life the quality of my day drops, when I am more present and pay attention to the details my day flows differently and I feel more expansive and light.

  39. Lovely to read this again. So many people do not like taking responsibility as it means having to be truthful and honest with everything, in particular the difficult and painful aspects of life – unresolved hurts, mistakes we have made, etc. When we take care of the details it also means taking care of these aspects on our life. This is one reason for the saying that the ‘devil is in the detail’ – we see the truth and we do not also like seeing this.

  40. When I am tired I have noticed my attention to detail becomes less and a dismissiveness can come in. In those cases it is like you’ve said to come back to the body and to feel me, and the support that’s always there, again and make it about every tiny aspect or movement in my life.

    1. It’s a good point Annelies, I find it’s the same with disregard (which can often happen with tiredness), as I begin to ignore the details I see, it’s like a gradual switching off instead of staying present and with my love.

  41. It is amazing to feel that when we do bring our attention to the quality of presence we choose to live with through every detail, we bring awareness to the space that is available to bring more of who we are to every moment as such we bring more of our love, our Soulfulness, our power to every moment.

  42. The beauty is found in the details and it is even more beauty-full for us to stop, appreciate and confirm that we are super awesome in connection to our soul’s expression because this is where God really gets to soar, by the detail of our every movement. Simply amazing, thank you Bianca.

  43. I love what you have shared Bianca, so beautiful and inspiring to live this way. I have used the words ‘I am not a detail person’ to excuse my lack of detail, I am since learning how much love, beauty and joy in life I am missing out on, I am slowly learning to pay more attention to detail and enjoying the experience it brings, thank you for the reminder.

  44. A beautiful reminder Bianca of how much there is to appreciate when we focus on the detail of that which is around us, we can feel that we are never alone but always supported to more of who we are. Thank you.

  45. Thank you for your wise words and the detail through out this blog – pun intended! I will take this with me in my day and see what comes, the devil or God?…hahah, I think it is pretty safe to say that connecting to detail will bring me closer to my heart, which is where God resides.

  46. What you have so beautifully described (without if I’m correct, even mentioning this word…) is the light of true Appreciation Bianca. To live in the Appreciation of the Great Love that can flow through us if we but allow it so, and connect with its beauty in our every expression… this is to live at one with God, and nothing less. True communion. Thank-you.

  47. What Joy to return to read this blog again Bianca!
For in every word is your Love – and so we could equally say, that ‘Love is in the detail’, the words ‘God’ and ‘Love’ being interchangeable…

  48. I loved that Bianca. Bringing presence into every detail brings God into our every movement.

  49. I find that when I take care of the details there is much more flow in my day. When I don’t take the time to do this I find that I get more easily caught up in the momentum of the day and this is where I find that I get most exhausted.

  50. It is true that it is in the details where we build the quality of how we are with life. This creates our foundation for how we are in life.

  51. Paying attention to and honouring the details of our day allows both our quality and grace to flow and bless us all.

  52. This is a beautiful blog Bianca, I could feel the magic of God that occurs when we move with love in every move, and if we move with this love in every detail we can’t help but live, eat, breath and move with God.

  53. When we bring attention to the detail we are in that moment. We are not being distracted or caught up in being busy for example. We are enjoying every single apparently little thing that moment brings. It highlights too that everything matters.

  54. The title of this blog brought my full attention to it this morning.
How true this is – Yes, ‘God Is In The Detail’ – every single detail matters, nothing is lesser when we bring the same quality of movement and care to everything we do.
This is then a way of being rather than doing.
A beautiful reminder – thank you Bianca.

  55. ‘My most beauty-full moments have all occurred when I have been present or paid attention to detail in the task I am doing.’ When I am present I feel everything that is around me it is just like the detail is all there and so clear and reflected in nature all around us, and when that happens I realise that God is there in every moment.

  56. With naked eyes things may appear to be dense, but under a microscope we notice how much space there actually is. And I love how you have shared your realization in such details here Bianca, offering us all to feel and connect the beauty and expanse we are constantly surrounded by.

  57. I feel the support your blog is offering me on this day we are moving house, to not go into the rush I feel that is so easily there but to do it differently and allow space to occur by paying attention to detail and thus be present and feel the truth of my body.

  58. “It is like I realise everything means something so I am attentive and right with me in every moment.” – I find too that paying attention to detail helps me to feel more together, more present and considerate of everything.

  59. I loved re-reading your blog Bianca as only yesterday I was reminded of the saying ‘God is in the details’ in relation to bringing a new approach to the choices I make and the way I live. I notice the times when I pay more attention to the details how there is a beautiful simplicity and flow allowing the space for our quality to deepen

  60. I love all that you have shared here Bianca. It is so true that the more we pay attention to the details, and bring awareness to how and why we are feeling, and are moving, the more of ourselves we can then choose to bring, our power through our connection to God, to all that we do. As it is through the details that we bring presence, and through presence we bring our power where the flow of the oneness of God is then simply embraced as our natural way, as it truly is.

  61. I loved your blog Bianca, it is so timely for me at present. I have noticed that when I go into rush mode detail goes out the window and I become quite anxious, but when I am conscious of detail life has a beautiful flow to it and there is plenty of time.

  62. When we rush through our day trying to get everything done we often cut corners thereby missing out on many beautiful moments that are contained in the detail and, by the end of the day, we usually feel quite exhausted.

  63. I love your reflections in this blog, you have got me considering whether or not I pay enough attention to the smaller details! And I’m wondering how many little details get lost because our gaze is only on the bigger picture.

  64. Great to re-read your bog today Bianca. When I stay present and loving – be it with cooking a meal – or any aspect of my living – space unfolds and there is grace . God is definitely in the detail.

  65. It’s autumn now in Europe and I am really amazed at what I see, all the colours and shapes of the leaves, how the light has been changing, the overwhelming amount of leaves everywhere. It is as if it is autumn for the first time in my life, I let myself see and feel the beauty and detail of this time of the year and I wholehearted agree that God is in the detail.

  66. Thank you Bianca I loved your blog on detail especially how you cooked and ate your food, I have been inspired to pay more attention to detail and feel God within and within the detail also.

  67. Just revisiting this blog Bianca and I love it just as much each time. I can’t tell you how many times I say that phrase to myself these days as a result of what you shared, and it never fails to deliver. Whenever I take care of the details, there is a magical quality that is alive within whatever I have attended to. I also feel it within me too, confirming constantly that God is indeed in the details, and the devil nowhere in sight.

  68. I find it fascinating though unsurprising that we have coined a phrase over the decades, or is it centuries of “the devil’s in the details”… when in fact it would seem it is the exact opposite. Certainly when I attend to the details, simplicity and harmony usually results, a sense that all is ok. That to me, is far more indicative of God, than it is of a so-called devil.

  69. ‘God is in the detail’ walks hand in hand with ‘Everything matters’. I have always understood the expression ‘the devil’s in the detail’ to mean that if you do not pay attention to the smallest detail, the everything’ then this is where problems will be created.

  70. I love the detail you brought to preparing a meal for yourself, it was deeply inspirational to read for you could feel the absolute beauty and power that comes through your choice to lovingly focus like you did… for you… a formula that can be added to support everything we do.

  71. Thank you Bianca. I used to believe that detail was as simple as crossing your ‘t’s and dotting your ‘i’s and I didn’t see it as particularly important. Your blog reminds me that choosing to pay attention to details can be incredibly beautiful and supportive.

  72. This very clearly presents the beauty that is in living present in every detail.

  73. Bianca, this is such a gorgeous ode to detail, and to the support and care it brings to our lives. When detail is present life flows, there is is a harmony and a space to respond to life rather than just react, and in that space magic happens, we can feel and see the possibilities of life and where and how we are in it, and how grand it and we can be.

    1. Indeed when we take care of details in our lives, there is a flow and when we are present to respond to any disharmonious element, which is often in a detail. As they say: the whole story is in the detail. We need to have an harmonious life, a way of living first ourselves, to observe and read what is going on around us.

      1. Gorgeous Caroline, the whole story is in the detail, it’s so beautiful to feel and read this line, thank you. Detail supports the harmony of who we are and how we express that in the world.

  74. I can share your thoughts about God being in the details Bianca, and that we in general tend to not pay that much attention to the details in life and instead prefer to only look to the bigger overarching picture. In doing so we indeed are setting ourselves up to miss that one most important aspect in our lives and that is that we are one with God and can only become aware of this fact by also connection to all the details in life. in the details we will experience God in all his grandness, but also ourselves as we are part of this same grandness that God is holding us in.

  75. I can be a bit of a ‘wolfer’ when it comes to eating. I have slowed down a LOT but your blog has inspired me to take a greater level of care and presence when it comes to eating but what I also got so strongly is that it is also in the preparation.

  76. And I must add too that detail is something that helps me feel more focused and more present, it brings me back when I feel scattered, it pulls me together. I actually get frustrated if I don’t take the time nor make the space for the detail as it feels like things are not complete. Bianca, thank you for sharing this blog in such detail 😉

  77. The big picture is just as important as the details are. The Macrocosm and the microcosm – each powerful on its own but each powerful in its combination.

  78. I loved the beautiful reminder about attention to detail when cooking- being fully present with your body and senses to know what is needed in the food, and then the importance of eating the food sitting down, fully present and with tender care. Feels very loving, supportive and nurturing.

  79. Such a beautiful blog Bianca. I could feel the nurturing care and love present when things are done with attention to detail, and therefore the opportunity for God to be with you.

  80. Thank you Bianca a truly beautiful and inspiring blog to read. one that is right on for me to read today, especially powerful is your beautiful sharing about food, how it is cooked and how then eaten with absolute presence and a joy, much for me to consider, in the detail of everything.

  81. When I am no longer connected with myself it is as if an indifference is entering, the complete opposite of the attention to detail. To stop and reconnect through my body by bringing back this beautiful attention to detail makes I can feel my delicate and tender nature again.

  82. I love feeling how every part of nature, every part of this world and every part of our body and Soul are all part of God, no more no less. This is true equality

  83. “On days when I feel tired or in a rush, I have found that the most loving way to support myself is to stop, breathe, come back to my body and re-connect and once again bring my attention to detail” . . .This is a great reminder for me today. Thank you Bianca.

  84. I feel like I am getting the most amazing education this morning. It is bringing me to this moment, to focus, not to be jumping ahead to where I next need to be or what I next need to do. I feel my day expanding as space and not being tied to time. Anxiety is not here. God is in the detail.

  85. My experience of this is when I am present with the details, I notice how much space opens up in the tiniest of things or movements. When I’m too busy, cluttered and jumbled then in the same activity the space is no where to be found.

  86. It is lovely to read your description of being present when you are cooking and eating and such a good example of how when we don’t pay attention to the details we then overeat/eat things that are not supportive for our bodies with all the attendant consequences. Thank you for this amazing reminder that paying attention to the detail in everything brings a beautiful flow to living and expands the space available to us.

  87. We tend to have a temporal relationship with beauty, but the truth is that feeling it -not consuming it- can only happen when we are in space and totally present in our body. When this happens, the eyes, indeed, confirm what we have felt.

  88. If ‘evil is in the details’, which it is, and everything that is evil is merely a distorted copy of what is true, God has to be in the details.

  89. I have learned the hard, and often painful, way that to ignore the details, especially rushing to get something completed, is opening oneself up to all sorts of problems, problems that really didn’t need to arise in the first place. Instead, taking the time to be aware of all that is going on with me and around me, observing every single detail, allows everything to flow so beautifully and the feeling of God in the flow is so very tangible.

  90. This is a beautiful blog to come back to again and again as each time we become more aware of the extent to which God has gone to offer us so much love. Who else would have been so committed in every creation to bring such love and detail for us to appreciate and observe in wonderment. It is indeed awe inspiring.

  91. When I can’t be bothered and deliberately leave out the detail I miss out on so much. When I pay attention to the detail, it’s an indication of how bothered I am in that moment. It also stops me rushing and I am more careful with my actions.

  92. When I spend time appreciating the details in what I am doing, it really brings me back to being present in my body for it is the details that make up the whole. We miss so much when we skip over details and it is then that I find that I am in a rush moment and am not really with me or God. To go for a walk in the morning and not listen to the birds who start their day in song is missing out on the detail and there is little joy in my walk when this happens as my mind has been elsewhere!

  93. Reading your blog again Bianca, I can see how being present with myself every minute is about the detail. The simple detail of being with life as it happens. When I get busy and caught up with my to do list, the day can be a blur and I can get to the evening and wonder ‘where was I?’

    1. Yes, I can understand what you mean Debra – that ‘the day can be a blur and I can get to the evening and wonder ‘where was I?’ When I allow myself to see and feel the detail I am alive and connected to the essence of God and this allows me to expand and appreciate the moment.

  94. I love this Bianca. It is something that I regularly forget yet, when embraced, it’s a concept that immediately changes how I do everything. I have a busy day ahead of me and I feel inspired to take this little gem with me and just observe what a difference it makes to my awareness of all that is being offered. Thank you!

    1. That is beautiful Helen – when we allow the details that God brings into our day to enrich each moment we can feel the magnificence and love that is God.

  95. God is in the details -this means fro me that there is nothing too small to overlook. Everything we do in our day can bring us a connection to God if we are present in our doing. This is pretty amazing really as we have so many opportunities to make loving choice,s or not, as God is in our lives in so many ways.

    1. Yes Anne. Our life and the way we choose to live it can be about paying attention to everything, not just the big things. This is one way to live that I agree brings us closer to ourselves and thus to God.

  96. Since reading this beautiful blog I find that just the words ‘God is in the Detail’ bring me back to myself and allow me to feel that the magic of God is to be found in every loving detail that is found in all that space that surrounds us – no detail has been left out by God – the Universe is all encompassing and forever expansive and inclusive.

  97. I love what you share here Bianca, when we rush through life there is no space to experience God. I agree God is in the detail – when we live in connection and commit to each moment we are rewarded with feeling God’s presence.

  98. This is great to read, it is a beautiful truth, God is definitely in the detail. When just cruising trough life without a look at the detail it gets dull, and I notice I lose my connection. It definitely is in every detail, choosing to take care of every part of our live.

    1. I agree Benkt – life does become all the same and lose it’s depth of beauty when we do not connect to the detail of all the majesty that we are offered by God and the Universe. I often stand in wonderment to see and feel the detail and magic that is offered in everything that surrounds me in all the space that is God.

  99. As someone who loves details your blog made perfect sense to me Bianca. In fact looking at things from the perspective that God is in the details is so helpful as I can see how even considering this opens me up to having a new level of awareness of God in my life. Thank you!

    1. I agree Helen it is truly beautiful to celebrate the details of life – of everything that is around us. It certainly does open us up to a new level of God as we can fully and deeply allow ourselves to appreciate the minutest detail. I find this particularly wonderful in nature when I see the tiniest insect that God has offered us that nothing is too small or insignificant and how with each exquisite detail there is a synchronicity that is awe inspiring.

  100. I am feeling that the the details make up the whole so for us to feel complete the details are so important.

    1. Yes Anne and I find that in the detail of nature I can fully appreciate how honouring God is of us in all our parts and that as parts we can come together as a cohesive whole.

  101. Thank you Bianca for an inspiring blog to read, I have said about my self in the past that I am not a detail person, but having read your blog I realise that in a sense I am. I can relate to some of what you have shared, but when I am not present that is when detail goes out the door, I love that “God is in the detail. “

    1. Love what you have said here Jill – some people may not feel that they are ‘detail’ people, however deep inside I feel we all are, we just express it differently. And we can all develop this deeper and deeper – so that even a ‘detail’ person can go deeper with the detail and hence bring more detail to detail 😉

  102. I find focusing on the detail means I’m more attentive, caring and complete with whatever I’m doing and it also stops my mind wandering off so I’m no longer there, present, in the moment, contributing to the activity. I agree that somehow giving this attention to the detail creates more space, less rush and a greater depth of connection to how I’m truly feeling.

  103. Beautiful to return to your blog Bianca and to connect to the simplicity and truth of what you say. As you say ‘If I continue to bring this level of presence to every moment of my day with loving consistency – not a driving for perfection – my day just flows’ and for me this is the key to expanding my life in a way that supports me in every moment – and in every detail. The constant drive for perfection is what has enabled us to live in a way that has separated us from not only our own true connection but our connection to God and the Universe. We are offered such exquisite and divine detail in every minute detail of our lives that offers us a reflection of what God was offering us when he breathed us forth.

  104. It just occurred to me after rereading your blog Bianca that the understanding of ‘God in the Details’ was actually something I had held as a theory, perhaps a mental understanding of the term and that that such beauty could be seen around me in nature but never truly understood what it meant for me. I can now say for a fact that living life with attention and care to every detail, I do now understand what this means on a much grander level as I am now living this not just knowing of it.

  105. God is definitely in the details. Well said Bianca and by the way your blog is very inspiring and absolutely exquisite to read.

  106. Bianca – I love you sharing of how every little movement we do can come with an appreciation. The way you describe preparing and eating a meal is so loving, and in a world where fast food and quick eating is common place, it is a breath of fresh air to read about your relationship with food.
It is true for me too that in total appreciation and presence, there is no craving afterwards or feeling hungry in a short space of time, i am full of the presence and appreciation I am feeling.

    1. How truly inspiring are your words hvmorden – and so true. When we are in total appreciation and presence we are not only honouring ourselves but also the Universe and everything it holds therein.

      1. Absolutely Susan, and then we do not seek outside of ourselves because how we are is full. There seems to be a pattern of feeling empty and then wondering what society can offer us to fix the feeling, when in fact we do not consider the relationship we have with ourselves first. I have learnt that this is the basis for everything and that as I am more aware of my body, I am more aware of my surroundings.

      2. So true hvmorden – we avoid feeling our feelings at all costs – the real cost being that in so doing we lose ourselves and our connection. When as you say ‘how we are is full’ we are complete within ourselves and that brings with it a knowingness that we are enough as we are and that we can live in equality with all others.

  107. This is such a beautiful blog to read Bianca – “…movement of the leaves as they dance and glide in unison together creating a ripple of harmony through the air…” I personally love detail and God’s detail is forever inspiring and makes my heart sing joyfully.

    1. Thank you Shelley for your comment where you mention the passage ‘ “…movement of the leaves as they dance and glide in unison together creating a ripple of harmony through the air…’ – this is such an evocative passage in the blog as it recounts how manifold and wonderful are the details of God that surround us in our daily lives. It truly connects you to your soul when you can feel the sensitivity in the movement of a gentle breeze creating a ‘ripple of harmony’. God is divine and he offers us such amazing opportunities to connect to his divinity in such simple ways.

  108. ‘God is in the detail’, I was pondering on this after reading your blog. It feels as being aware of the detail and honouring the detail we are able to connect back to truth. I feel when I am not considering details during my day I get very indifferent about myself and the situations I am in, a sense of giving up. The moment I connect back to my body and pay attention to it in detail I know it all.

    1. How gorgeous Annelies – when we connect to the body and pay attention the detail that is offered by God is pure magic, and allows us to fully appreciate the minute detail that is employed by God when he offers us a blessing. Nothing is too small as I look at an insect and appreciate that every dot and marking is in harmony with the whole – and how the community of insects work together hence inspiring greater harmony. In this way we are offered a harmonious way to live in the world – a way that is about the whole and not the individual.

    2. This is so true Annelies, when the attention to detail is forgotten then it’s easy to be indifferent about how we are with ourselves and others. When we are connected to ourselves, there is a sense that we are connected to something so very grand.

  109. So beautiful to read your blog again Bianca – and to connect to all the subtleties that we are given in life as we appreciate the gentle breeze rustling the leaves in a tree or an insect delicately making its way across a leaf – there is so much detail in all that God offers us by way of reflection that we are constantly and consistently being offered. As we connect more to this detail we realise that nothing happens by chance, that all is constellated to bring together what we as a humanity need to evolve and further deepen our appreciation of our place in the Universe.

  110. God is in the whole and in the details that make up the whole. The details are not less spectacular than the whole. They are not less important either. The whole and the details are all aligned to the Divine will. They correspond with an order we cannot truly grasp in its magic.

    1. How beautiful to connect and feel the depth of what you are sharing in your comment Eduardo. In the greater all there is no less or more – we are all one in our particular details and in the oneness we are aligned both to one another and to all that there is in the Universe and beyond.

    2. Agree Eduardo. Without the detail, there is no whole. The detail makes up the whole, so they are one and the same, just looked at from different angles. I have experienced how simply paying attention to a few details, like what I eat, what time I go to bed, and how I look after myself has changed the whole of my life. Who knows what other details I can pay attention to and what changes may happen as a consequence?

  111. I love how this blog brings God into everyday life in a practical way and does not make him anything beyond what we are able to relate to or even switch off from. Beautiful to read, thank you.

  112. ‘I was present with every morsel of food so a small amount feels like a 3 course meal.’ You’ve just nailed a key aspect of our general dysfunction with the process of eating. We don’t attend to the detail of it – the preparation, the chopping, the stirring, the w-a-i-t-i-n-g. We may DO the detail but we’re not IN it at the time. Our heads are often elsewhere. And then we gobble and chobble like there’s no tomorrow instead of being present in our body, using our taste buds and tongue as they were intended, tasting ‘every morsel of food’, feeling the swallowing and from there, the landing in our stomachs. No wonder we don’t truly know when we’re full – we’re not listening, because we’re not present, we’re not in ‘exquisite space’.

  113. This is a very supportive and healing blog I feel Bianca. The spaciousness that comes with paying attention to the details, never fails to amaze and delight me. Like you I thank Serge Benhayon for living this and inspiring us with it.

  114. What a joy to read this again today, Bianca. I can feel that when we stay present to the details the rest of our living juts flows as it is meant to be – not necessarily how we would always want it but how it is meant to be! I love the feeling of spaciousness that comes with the details- it feels so freeing. Thank you.

  115. Beautifully said Bianca, your blog inspires me to commit to more detail in every area of my life, not too rush in anyway as each moment is an opportunity to experience God. This line stood out for me and is perfect to take into my day -‘The world slows down around me and I am enveloped by this exquisite space. I feel whole again. I honestly feel connected to all and without a doubt feel the presence of God.’

  116. Bianca, details are key, and it’s when I slide over them that I miss out on what is there, and there’s a magic in detail that allows us all to feel and see that we are so much more than we think, and yes when we take care of those little details, things just flow.

  117. Thank you Bianca, even though this is a second read for me it’s as though I have never read it before, and a great reminder to appreciate the little details and what it feels like to be conscious of them. This is just what I needed to read this morning.

    1. Yes, Julie, I agree this blog by Bianca is a great reminder of how many moments there are throughout the day that we can appreciate all the we have been given when we become more attentive and conscious of how these details enhance our day and build more harmony and love in our body.

  118. Such a powerful blog. I see many people rushing through the day and sometimes I can forget how important it is to be present with everything I do. I feel this brings the magic to the things I am doing. Doing them checked out is no fun, but really feeling me doing it and being aware of my body is absolutely bringing in the divine. Thank you for the reminder.

    1. Yes I agree Lieke when we are present and connected to our body we can feel each moment and every detail of what we are bringing to what we are doing, and how that brings a unity to the detail of the whole, both connected to our body as a whole and to the whole of the universe. In other words each little individual detail comes together and we can feel the depth of love that we are.

  119. God does not miss a thing, from the tiniest detail, cell, atom, molecule or speck to the great expanse of the universe every detail is considered and in divine order. We feel our place as part of this divine loving order through feeling and appreciating the wonder and magic in the simple details of our lives.

  120. I love what you have shared here Bianca. It is so true that when we place attention to the detail, and choose to bring our love to the details in our lives, we develop a foundation of love that supports us to deepen our appreciation of how connected we are to all, and to appreciate the magic from God that we are constantly surrounded by.

  121. Great blog! I am now starting to appreciate more and more the detail in nature and in my everyday life. When I do this I feel the magic of God.

  122. I have never heard the saying, ‘the devil’s in the detail’ but this clearly feels like a misrepresentation of the truth. I love details and my life feels magical when I observe them. It fills me with deep appreciation of all the little things that add up to show me divinity on a daily basis.

  123. Awareness of every little thing that is around us and that occurs is there for a purpose and perhaps that purpose is to remind us of our responsibility that we are each an essential part or detail of the whole of God’s Plan.

    1. Very beautiful and inspiring Mary. I am now, beginning to see that everything has a purpose and everything happens for a reason. To be aware of every little thing, paying attention to detail and allowing myself to understand my responsibility in everything I choose gives me a huge understanding of my purpose in life and with the whole of God’s plan.

  124. I have found that when doing something that sometimes that, I have to rush creeps in and I would do shortcuts. I have always liked the saying ‘if you don’t have time to do it right now …when you find the time later to finish it?’ I am not a perfectionist but I have learned the truth in ‘if its worth doing its worth doing it well’ even if I am the one that knows.

  125. So true Bianca, when we start to pay attention to detail, we start to see the beauty in life and all that surrounds us.

    1. Yes Giselle, there is so much to learn in the details, and they create the solid foundation.

  126. “If I continue to bring this level of presence to every moment of my day with loving consistency – not a driving for perfection – my day just flows.” I can feel the depth of quality in your words expressed here Bianca. A beautiful reminder of how glorious the simplicity in the details of life really bring. Consistency is the key.

  127. A fabulous confirmation of how I have been re-learning to live Bianca, inspired by Serge Benhayon. Having been very detailed as a child, I abandoned this because of the negative remarks I would receive that I was ‘pedantic’. I think I used this quality to give me a sense of control that I was lacking and so it became confused with perfectionism and being attached to having things a certain way. And so my life became chaotic; the exact opposite of my true nature. I am re-imprinting every aspect of my life with loving detail and in that I feel so held. It feeds me back love and supports me to deepen with it, seeing how it supports those around me also. It is clearly a strength of mine, and the more I claim it, the more I feel God within me.

  128. Beautiful, clear and supportive blog Bianca, and reminder for us to stop reconnect and pay attention to the details that will then support us and feed us back, to be the amazing sons of god we truly are. And how that reflection is then there for all others to see that they to are equally divine sons of god.

  129. Lovely Bianca, this was an important blog because attention to details was once not my first choice. In the past my opinion were that details were holding me back – I often felt that details made people pedantic and that they are lost in details and therefore I never wanted to be caught in being obsessed in details. But now it is different because people like you showed me that there is an other way and now I can relate to every word your wrote in your amazing blog. The more I choose the details the merrier I can feel my stillness and the merrier I got time to do things. There is still work in progress but now I can feel the grace in it.

  130. Bianca, I love how you’ve brought our attention to detail, I know when I am not with myself there is an indifference namely about paying attention to detail, as if I say ‘I leave everything to you it is not my responsibility to bring God back on earth’. Paying attention to the details can bring me back, by being present and feel what my hands are touching, where I walk, see and feel nature. Your example about the stillness and harmony in the leaves touched by the wind is beautiful and I could feel these innate qualities within me while reading your blog.

    1. Thanks Annelies. One of the things I have been doing lately to bring myself back to me and the detail of life is feeling my feet on the floor as I stand and feeling how my shoes cosily cocoon my feet.

  131. Although hearing it many times, I had never really thought about ‘the devil is in the details’ and yet it is such a perfect bastardisation of the truth and the power that lies within them. This is such a great exposure and an awesome reminder to pay attention, for it is within the details that true beauty and appreciation can be felt.

  132. God is in the detail. I have been a person in a hurry most of my life but these last few years I am really appreciating the times when I am totally present with myself and absorbed by the beauty of the detail and precision. I am discovering that my true nature loves detail.

  133. This is very cool, without detail a lot of what is going on would fail, there is so much in the details and when we don’t connect with this there will be no true connection to what is there, the god that is in all of these details.

  134. God is indeed in the detail , and your blog is a great reminder of how supportive this can be. Thanks Bianca.

  135. Yes, I love this too. Connecting to the touch of my hand on my face as I apply cream, for example, allows me to feel the tenderness that I am bringing to myself and then, if I choose to, I can deepen this quality.

  136. I love what you have written and expressed here Bianca; like you I can best support and nurture myself by attending to the detail and being present, whatever I am doing.
“On days when I feel tired or in a rush, I have found that the most loving way to support myself is to stop, breathe, come back to my body and re-connect and once again bring my attention to detail”.
This is very inspiring and confirming, thank you.

  137. I love re-reading this fabulous blog Bianca. It really does make a world of difference when we are presented with everything we do, and connect to the stillness of every moment. Thank you.

  138. God is indeed in the detail. Great to claim that God can be felt in everything that we do, how could he not? When I have stillness in my body and an ease in which I breathe, I know I am with God.

  139. Bianca, I just love this. And reading it this evening allowed me to stop and feel my attention to detail, and how much detail keeps us in the here and now, present in each and every moment, aware and appreciating. God really is in the details, it’s those little things that somehow bring a reality to the whole of all that is around us and when I focus on those details there is such a wonder and an open-ness to explore – I feel a joy in me.

  140. I can feel the power of stopping and reconnecting to the details in life Bianca Barban. Doing so brings me back the joy in life, because it is me dealing with all these details, having fun with it.

  141. Thank you Bianca for this beautiful reminder of what a powerful a gift it is when we choose to stop, breathe and bring our attention to the details though which we re-connect to our presence and to the presence of God.

    1. Yes, a beautiful reminder indeed, I often don’t allow myself time to stop, breathe and bring attention to the details, so this is an awesome reminder for me to do this more and more. This will deepen my connection with God and with myself.

  142. It’s amazing how many sayings like this are passed down to us and we just accept them without question. Thank you Bianca for turning this one around it makes me feel more open to changing everything around if it does not truly make absolute sense.

  143. God is in the detail. This is so precious to me. The sentence beholds love, simplicity, playfulness and joy and instantly connects me to my divine nature.

    1. Thank you katinkadelannoy this comment supports us to feel the power of words and that everything expressed comes with an energy. I am finding words written or spoken have an aliveness or a harshness about them. They either support us to be ourselves or to live away from who we truly are.

  144. Bianca, I love this blog, God is so in the detail and it’s super supportive when we live this. I can feel and smell the meal you cooked and how awesome it was and feel how everything was taken care of with great feeling and love, and that’s the beauty of details applied in a light, playful and loving way. Thank you for reminding me.

  145. This is really gorgeous Bianca as when we live in a way where we choose to be aware of the detail life does take on a very different quality. I personally find I enjoy my day more, each moment has a feeling of fullness as my awareness is heightened, I notice more things about myself, the day, nature and the joy is there as I can appreciate the quality I bring. I find the more time I take to be with myself, in the moment, my attention to detail expands and things fall into place more naturally then if I am rushed or pushing myself to complete a task or thinking of something else I must do. There is definitely divinity in the detail, because it feeds back the love we are.

  146. Thank you Bianca for bringing the delight in detail to a discussion. I agree that Serge Benhayon has inspired with his attention to detail in everything he does and says. I love the simplicity of being present in each moment, the precision and grace that is possible.

  147. Bianca what you have uncovered here in that “God is in the details” is astonishing. So simple, yet so supportive and true. I know I often glaze over details and put myself in the “I’m not a detail kind of person”, but I can see how that cuts me short of connecting with God. What you have shared here I have found truly profound. I am going to re-visit my relationship with detail and see that God is indeed in the details.

    1. This is great Donna. Isn’t it interesting how we can feel that bringing attention to detail is an arduous task when in truth it brings simplicity and joy and is a natural way to live 🙂

  148. And isn’t it a great way to invite God into your home, if you set every room and angle up with love for the details? That way God already awaits me whenever I come home.

    1. Interesting Felix, what a beautiful way to welcome yourself home? Paying attention to this level of detail in how you set up your home is very inspiring for me.

  149. It is beautiful to read how the details can support us rather than be a source of anxiety or control. I have more of an awareness around some areas of detail in my life than others, and I have come to understand that this is just where I have chosen to put my focus and develop myself and that there are still opportunities to explore and develop.

    1. Thank you nicolesjardin. I have found when I focus on detail as a striving for perfection I feel much anxiety and control. When I am connected to my essence and bring attention to detail there is no emotion or tension only love, stillness, harmony and joy – the qualities of who we truly are.

      1. Such a good point made here Bianca and nicolesjardin about the detail that can come from control etc. The true detail of God never comes with any kind of push, control, anxiousness, strive for perfection etc. ; the true detail of God is found in love, stillness, harmony, joy and truth…

      2. And from your responses I can feel the energy of love and expansion that is us all coming together in brotherhood, and the joy in expressing the beauty of the detail to be felt in each moment that we are together in and from stillness.

      3. Perfection is an absolute killer of our potential and you are correct in saying Bianca that striving for it brings much anxiety and invites overwhelm into our lives. When caught in this vicious circle you then reach for other emotions to build you up and the merry go round that feeds your insecurities continues.

  150. “I will notice how the food sounds and I will cook according to when it feels ready, using my eyes as confirmation of what I have already felt.” – I notice this too when I cook with attention to detail, Bianca.

  151. What a beautiful sharing Bianca, I especially love your line -‘God is in the details’.
Thank you for the opportunity to bring this awareness into everything I do.

  152. Bianca every word expressed here shows your true appreciation for the details of life. A beautiful reminder that God is definitely in the details. Thank you.

  153. I appreciate what you share here and it inspires me to pay more attention and bring focus to all the many details that are there continually. The way you describe the process opens up time and makes it spacious and non-rushed as well, and that is always a great thing.

  154. I like this simple fact the a god is in the details. It makes sense.

  155. I love this. You have made a great case for “God is in the detail’. It is so true that if we are just that extra careful and loving in all we do, then that feeling comes back to us and is offered to others also. Thank you Bianca.

  156. I have been feeling very rushed and stressed this morning Bianca so reading this line “On days when I feel tired or in a rush, I have found that the most loving way to support myself is to stop, breathe, come back to my body and re-connect and once again bring my attention to detail.” was an absolute gift. I almost missed it in my rush but I am glad I allowed myself to read each word a few times. Thank you for this beautiful expression of wisdom.

    1. This is awesome Leonne, thank you for sharing your experience. I find reading the blogs and comments such a support too 🙂

      1. Bianca, this is a great blog. I am just learning what a difference my 10m walk from my office to the kitchen makes. The details of the details are huge.

    2. This is a great tool that I can take into daily life as well Leonne… to simply bring things back to the detail when I am feeling rushed, stressed or overwhelmed etc. It reminds me to simply bring attention to the thing I’m actually doing, and to reconnect back to my body.

  157. Bianca, a beautiful blog to read again and re-connect to. As you say ‘God is in the detail’ and this is reflected to us through Serge Benhayon, as he is attentive to detail in all that he does, says and lives. It is exquisite to feel the detail and precise-ness of each moment as each moment has been invested with the same love and care of humanity. Each moment serves as it unfolds the wisdom of the universe.

  158. Bianca, I can really feel how supportive and loving the details of daily living are after reading this and this is going to be my focus today! Thank you.

  159. Thank you for the lovely reminder to stop, reconnect and focus on the details of what I am doing as this truly allows me to feel the stillness within myself and in that there is always a strong connection to divinity and nothing else.

  160. As I come back to re-read this there was a sense of richness as you shared your appreciation and application of detail in your day. A much appreciated timely reminder for myself that God is not restrained or held by big bangs and shining lights from the heavens moments but in the smallest of details and expressions. Thank you Bianca.

    1. I agree leighmatson, God is not only in the big moments, but in every moment should we allow ourselves to feel the love we are held in.

  161. Thankyou Bianca for this awesome blog. When you bring detail to absolutely everything we do we can begin to feel the depth of appreciation and connection with God. I would usually eat and forget to fully appreciate the taste of what I was eating and I also find it very easy to over eat. What you have shared about food and your connection to every moment is truly inspiring to me. This level of attention to detail will be amazing to apply to everything I do and deepen the relationship with myself and God.

  162. Watching the wind in the trees phase in this blog was beautiful it reminded me that have just as much grace and can be as effortless when we pay attention to our finer details

  163. Thank you Bianca for taking me on a connected journey of presence and detail. A beauty-full blog, to counter the bastardisation of a truth, “God is in the detail”.

  164. Thank you Bianca, all you have shared in detail is gorgeous to feel in my body. Attention to detail is key ingredient for conscious presence, to leave it out will leave me feeling hungry every time.

  165. I giggled when I read this bit Bianca – ‘I may have just cooked the simplest meal and magically become a gourmet chef! ‘ I loved it. God is definitely in the details. It’s like when you see a whole picture yet it’s the details that make it truly grand. like a drawing done by a child and it’s of a family, you can look at that picture and go ‘yea, that’s a family’ but then when you really look at the detail to how the child has drawn each member and the colours they use it becomes a lot more wonder-full and fantastic to look at. Looking at things this way bring a lot more of god to everything.

  166. This is a gorgeous blog Bianca thank you. I love the feeling of it and it reminds me of how precious I am and how lovely it feels to attend to this in detail. I tend to relatively rush through things, tick the boxes, and in that not allowing a depth of detail and space that I know and love! Your article has supported me to reconnect with that this morning.

    1. I can so relate to what you have expressed Carolien. It is like there is a drive or push inside that is running people to get through the day, getting as many tasks done as possible without actually being present when they are doing them. It feels like in this set up that life is about many intense moments and then a moment of reward at the end where you check out with a cuppa and something to eat or a movie etc. The more I allow myself to bring detail to my life, the less I find I need a reward at the end of the day because the real reward has been the joy of being with myself in my body when I complete my tasks and bring my attention to the detail of each moment.

  167. Great Bianca. Recently I’ve noticed how when I commit to what I’m doing and generally, a sense of ease comes – it extends to allowing the details to be ok with me. When I’m not committed to a process, I want to skip over the top and not bother with the details. More and more, I’m enjoying the detail of everything, because this is where the greatest learning is to be had.

  168. It’s amazing how you can have special moments where you stop and appreciate the smallest of things, things you could call little miracles, or seeming coincidences because they almost seem set up by something grand, something playful and something that knows where you are at and what you need; and it’s all these special moments I would define as moments created by God. The Magic of God.

    1. Absolutely arieljoymuntelwit, beautifully pointed out. It’s when we feel this, we feel the presence of God.

  169. It’s interesting when you Google the phrase ‘devil is in the detail’, that apparently it is derived from the earlier phrase ‘God is in the detail’. Another example of the wisdom of the ages being buried beneath a series of falsities.

    1. Thanks Stevie, I agree. I have much appreciation for Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon whose books, presentations and workshops are all based on the Ageless Wisdom, you can feel without a doubt the truth of this work and that the wisdom is ageless.

  170. This article is such a beautiful support for me this morning as I sit in a busy airport waiting to catch a plane. There is so much hustle and bustle around me and reading the simplicity and supportive wisdom in this article has supported me to come back to stillness and bring attention to the detail of each moment.

  171. Perfect reminder for me to read Bianca as only very recently I recognised I was letting myself slip by trying to skip the details and how it was not working. God is most certainly in the detail.

  172. Thank you Bianca for bringing back the effect of attention to detail, it is great to start my day with your blog. How the attention to detail gives this moment of appreciating how precious we are, as you say to feel God is in the Detail.

  173. Thank you Bianca for this beautiful blog that is reminding me that God is in the detail and how precious every moment is!

  174. so awesomely expressed Bianca, God is indeed in every detail of life. It is amazing to have a pause and feel how beautifully composed everything is in life, God is everywhere.

  175. I read this and smile Bianca, for we all know that the detail is the refining of ourselves in a moment and yet we often forgo the detail, in effect ourselves, so that we don’t have to feel the fact that we don’t choose this all of the time. I am increasingly becoming aware of the amount of detail we can see and feel – and how each choice supports or not.

  176. I love this blog Bianca as I have always been a big picture person and let details take care of themselves, but this is a joke because really only I can take care of the details and I am learning to do this and it is so supporting.

  177. What a powerful observation, “that by bastardising the truth of this idiom that God Is In the Detail, so many people may have inadvertently rejected bringing detail to their lives”. I know for one that I have done that and what a change in my life it is bringing to now pay attention to the details.

  178. God certainly is in the detail. Thank you for sharing this Bianca. I had never really contemplated this before, but have had the experience of being present and aware of the detail and the connection this brings. It is interesting that the saying of the devil in the detail is the exact opposite to the truth.

  179. Absolutely God is in the details. Sometimes I may feel like I am being too precise but when I don’t pay attention to the details in the things I do it does not feel complete, this blog just explains why: because my connection with God is in these details.

  180. I love what you share here Bianca. I always interpreted ‘the Devil’s in the detail’ to mean that harm can creep in when I don’t pay attention to detail. For example – if I neglect to put the lid on something with care it can cause a huge problem when I knock the bottle over later because I am not present in my body (more detail).

  181. The detail’s interesting, I have often resented having to look into some details and a little bit obsessive about other details in life, this for me shows that there was imbalance. It is lovely to look at the details of life as a way to support a connection with God. I can feel this in my daily life. “If I continue to bring this level of presence to every moment of my day with loving consistency – not a driving for perfection – my day just flows. There is such a joy to my day.” There is a flow and a joy to my day when I have set myself up to live it in a supportive way. Embracing details, a lovely reminder of a supportive way to live my day.

  182. Bianca, I am so inspired by your blog. Detail has been a challenge to me as it can also be used in an unloving obsessive way, I have reacted to that in the past. I am now rebuilding my loving connection with detail and find it transformative. One of my fondest and most lasting memories of Serge is observing the fullness of attention he was giving the cleaning of a hand basin in his old clinic. It was with the same loving attention as when he has a client on the table.

  183. Thank you for this simple confirmation that God is indeed in the detail.. detail is something that comes natural to me and I feel most supported when I am connected to the detail and what it reflects to me in my everyday life … your posed question at the end has supported a learning that I am coming to also, which is that God is in the big picture too.
I have never hesitated to feel the detail but seeing the big picture of things collectively can easily have me in overwhelm or anxiousness and craving my security (or comfort) of searching out my small moments ‘one thing at a time’ behaviour. However, I now see that God is there with me throughout the whole of life, in every moment, from the smallest detail to the grand scale of the universe. Thank you Bianca for supporting my own learning with this.

  184. Beautiful, Bianca. Paying attention to details feels like looking through a magnifying glass, everything becomes big and spacious, and the magic of God is right in our face.

  185. God Is In the Detail, what you have shared here is beautiful and true. When we pay attention and appreciate every detail we get everything, we get the whole. We get to feel we are precious, that there is a grace and delicateness.

  186. A gorgeous exposition, and such a joy to read, thank you Bianca. I love that you leave it open-ended, asking…’What truths are kept from us that provide true inspiration and make a massive difference to us living a life full of true vitality and wellness?’….much to ponder on here.

  187. Thankyou Bianca for your great blog . I have only ever heard God is in the details . But one thing is for certain it is in the details where we feel the divine in every moment and it is where we meet the divine in every moment .

  188. I really enjoyed reading this again, I love detail too, I find it brings clarity and precision to my day.

  189. Thankyou for reminding me to stop and listen to the wind in the trees. It is such a simple moment, yet in that moment it is such a confirming experience as the interconnectedness of everything reveals itself.

  190. I love this blog, restoring truth and appreciation to detail. It highlights how being present in every moment, paying attention to the detail is actually a choice to connect to the divine within, and it is then easy to feel the spaciousness. I know that if I’m paying attention to the detail, time does seem to stand still and there is no sense of rushing or pushing in my body.

  191. Beautiful blog, I can very much relate to this ‘I feel light and lovely but so grounded and real. It is like I realise everything means something so I am attentive and right with me in every moment.” I too love details, it’s those small touches that make such a difference. Lovely to feel the appreciation you have for detail too.

  192. I keep coming back to your writing Bianca. I can feel the exquisiteness and absolute space attention to detail brings.

  193. Thank you Bianca for a most lyrical and beautifully written article, I felt as though the words were a song to my heart ~ flowing as beautifully as the wind through the leaves…

  194. Thank you Bianca for the detail and delicateness in your blog. A lovely reminder that I can feel HIM with me in every moment and in every movement I make during the day. I am inspired to be more of the tenderness, delicateness and loveliness, starting today.

  195. Thank you Bianca, I love feeling you and your delicateness in this blog, reflecting that I am that too. Today my day will be about tenderness and detail. Thank you for reminding me that through that I will feel HIM with me in every moment and in every movement that I make.

  196. Experiencing God has always a clear association with attention to details (hence a deep connection with my whole being), openness, awareness, lightness, willingness. Feeling God is an amazing experience, and a very very familiar one. Thank you for inspire me to ask myself how do I get to experience God!

  197. Thank you for sharing how the details do matter and do impact on our lives. All the little details collectively make up the whole. An inspiring read to remain aware and experiment with staying connected to the details.

  198. Re-reading your blog today Bianca I realised two things – on reading your lovely description of detail with loving consistency and not a drive for perfection, my body relaxed, and that detail you mention, by bastardizing the truth of it, that God’s in that detail, it’s a way for us to gloss over and not truly embrace the loving support that can exist in detail, it’s a way of robbing us of God. And as you say how many more bastardizations are we living by?

  199. Bianca, I had to come back today to read this. I love it that detail, how simple it is and yet it’s everything, and everywhere, each little thing is part of the whole. It really helped to read this today to remind myself that it’s all there always, I just lovingly focus and give it the attention, no trying, it’s just being with each thing i do.

  200. Just re-read your amazing blog again Bianca and with over 250 comments this sure confirms how powerful this subject is – God is in the Detail.
I love detail and for me it grounds me and keeps me focused and alive. I have time with me and see the magic in the smallest things and knowing God is in the detail, I get to feel the pulse of what I know weaves everything in life together in some way. I treat a frying pan with the utmost care and to me the detail is getting a brillo pad and getting those stains removed and talking to the pan and saying thank you for supporting me. To me there is no difference between the pan or the toilet or a new jumper. They are all the same and each need the detail and time expands when I go to the detail and that is the magic of God which keeps things alive in my world. I am never ever bored.

    1. Hi Bina. I love your comment on Bianca’s amazing blog “God is in the detail”. I too love detail, when I am cooking, when I am working with wood in fact in lots of things I do.
In my workshop I have sometime felt that it is God who is moving my hands.

  201. Everything in this world is connected to God. God is with you 24 hours a day, all you need to do is talk to him, he will listen. He will not help you win the lottery, but will show you love and understanding, and is always there to help you on your way in life.

    1. Could it be that what Universal Medicine is presenting to us is that the winning combination for the lottery, as it were, is already known to us? Return to the Love that we are and not only do we win every time, so does everyone else.

  202. This is beautiful Bianca. Yes God is very much in the details. Through appreciating this, it is possible to live everyday in awe and wondrousness of his magic. It is his calling card to us that he is forever present and loving us, waiting for us to return to his bosom.

  203. Thank you. I can really feel how God truly is in the detail now. And, as you say there maybe many more sayings that we can turn on their head, worth pondering on.

  204. It is so worth reading your inspiring blog again Bianca.
It has just occurred to me ( whilst checking my daily accounts record ) that God has been with me in the details of my finances too !
I realise the 2 way conversation I have in my head at the time of checking must be with God ! I feel so supported as I make detailed decisions about prioritising and balancing income and outgoings. Always flowing, there is always sufficient.

  205. How gorgeous to read your blog again Bianca – and to remind myself that God is in the detail of everything from the way I press the keys as I write this comment to the grandest and greatest event in my life – God does not discriminate.
I have a busy day ahead and it feels like a blessing to read your blog and then prepare the details of my day so that it will flow – for me and for everyone else with whom I interact.

  206. Since first reading this article I have taken a lot more care about the details. The knock-on effects have and continue to evolve and deepen my appreciation my life and all that I do. This is a very inspiring piece of writing. Thank you, Bianca.

  207. Just the title Bianca wants me to keep re-reading this as a reminder and how joyfull it feels to know and live like this as I am so into detail.
What was highlighted to me today when I read this was you saying “so many inadvertently rejected bringing detail to their lives.”
What would happen if we started to bring detail and could see and feel the magic that comes with living like this everyday. For me I seem to need and want less of anything and surely thats a great sign in a world that is going excess in everything and losing the plot so to speak. What I love is the wonder and simplicity it brings Knowing God is in the detail.

  208. I love reading this article as it is such a great reminder and inspiration for me. Not taking care of the details has throughout my life has constantly been my Achilles’ heel.

    1. I agree Jonathan, I have rushed through life thinking that I didn’t have time for all the detail and with the inspiration this blog offers me, I realise how much I have been missing – that being the beauty all around that supports me in my life.

      1. So true for so many of us Sue, and yet the truth is that when we don’t rush and we give ourselves time to be present in the detail, there is plenty of time, it expands. We know this from experience it when we choose it, so why don’t we choose it all the time? It’s crazy!

  209. Bianca, this blog is perfect for what I find myself looking at in my life right now. Everywhere I am being asked to take greater care of detail, to really look and really see what is there, and what is needed in any given moment to support and allow the moment to flow. Reading your blog is precious today as it reminds me of the joy of detail – thank you.

  210. This blog has offered me so much to ponder on. I was walking back from work and as I opened a gate there was a tiny little feather hanging on a cobweb and it felt so beautiful to connect to the amazing little details that are in everything in our lives and in nature. When we connect to these details we are connecting to God and to the universe that surrounds and supports us in so many awesome ways.

    1. Lovely to read Sue, there are so many moments that are easily passed by yet when I do stop and appreciate them it certainly shows me the magic and beauty that is all around us – something that undeniably confirms – God is in the detail.

  211. Bianca – thank you! I love this blog, it is full of wisdom and joy and I will be re-reading it many times.

  212. Bianca. We all need to take time out to recharge our bodies, and not continually rush to do things or be at a certain place at a certain time. God will be with you were ever you are. Take time and reflect, sit down for 5/10 minutes, close you eyes, and do a few gentle breaths, it is amazing how quickly you will feel good in yourself again.

    1. This is so true Mike – it is amazing how God is always there and how connecting brings us back to ourselves.

  213. Great blog Bianca and very inspiring. I loved the way you described how paying attention to detail gave you space during your day. This is definitely worth another read. Thank you.

  214. ‘This truth often reveals itself to me in my everyday life.’ This is so true, Bianca – it clearly brings home to me that I do not need to go anywhere special to find God. God is there right beside us when we connect to our awareness of all that we have been given. Yesterday I went for a walk near where I live, and there on an ivy plant was a beautiful butterfly and many small bees busily doing what bees do – it felt as though they were being busy bees being industrious, and supported by the beauty and harmony of the butterfly. It was a simply beautiful moment that filled me with wonderment.

  215. Yes, God is in the detail, I can very much relate to it and you have described it so beautifully, thank you Bianca.

  216. I am still returning to this blog and finding parts I didn’t take in before, even though it is short and simple! Today the movement of the trees leaped out at me, and strangely I related it to an experience I had yesterday of playing with a three year old child. Her gentle, simple attention to detail was a real lesson for me, and it flowed so naturally from within her. God was in the detail because she was present in every moment with the whole of herself.

  217. Its so true Bianca. Thank you.
It is worth paying attention to the details. I feel so much more supported when I do things to the detail I feel they need to be.

  218. This is reconfirming to me that ‘God is REALLY in the detail. I know there is a big difference in the way I feel when I do things with presence. Like paying attention to every detail when making my bed, making sure my pillow sits straight in its pillow case, pulling out the corners of the cases e.t.c. When I do this, I find that I naturally go to bed earlier and wake up feeling that I have had a restful and rejuvenating night’s sleep. God is in everything I do, I just need acknowledge it.

    1. I love what you say here Laide about God is REALLY in the detail and you talk about something so practical like your pillow. I agree that God is in everything and all I need to do is just acknowledge it.
I love detail and I love keeping things simple so for me there is a lot of fun and playfulness in having God in the detail and making things Light.

    2. I agree Laide, doing anything with presence does make a big difference as it makes the task you are doing joyful and worthwhile.

  219. There are many moments in which I am rushing around, in distraction, and not present with what I am doing. In the moments when I make the choice to be with me – even something as simple as feeling my hand resting on the counter or my toes in my shoes – I feel steadier and calmer. I know that my body is asking for more. Thank you, Bianca, for your inspiring words.

  220. Watching, feeling and appreciating – and then we feel the presence of GOD. Whenever I spend time on the detail everything flows so I’m right there with you Bianca in all that you’ve said.

  221. The day was going so well, taxis, planes and trains all working to get me to where I needed to be at the right time and meeting the right people. I got home with just enough time to have lunch, unpack and put some clothes in to wash before I went to work, the day was going so well.

As I put the dirty washing into the machine I had a passing thought, I hadn’t checked pockets for tissues…but the day was going so well, I just continued. When I got home the sun was still shining with just a little breeze, perfect for drying clothes, the day really was going well…..until I opened the washing machine to find that I had left a tissue in a pocket….and yes, I had washed the dark coloured garments.

I have heard and read about stop moments and setting new markers, this has certainly given me these. It would probably have taken me less than a minute to check my pockets compared to all the time I have now spent, initially trying all the ‘magic’ defluffing gadgets I have bought over the years, and now using strips of sticky tape to remove the shreds of tissue and being aware of the myriad of places that have been affected.

So for me a very real example of both God being in the detail and also the far reaching consequences when I override that detail to which my body is trying to draw my attention. The choice to be fully aware of what I am doing is continuous.

  222. Bianca, I love how you have expressed so exquisitely how you can feel the presence of God in those moments when with the detail – when you are truly present in all you do. I too can relate to this, time does slow down, everything becomes rhythmic and purposeful, not a movement is without care or loving intention. Every angle, every touch, every movement, all in the divine design of God. An awesome sharing and reminder, thank you.

  223. Hi Bianca, I have reread your blog as it inspires me so much to slow down… Being present and with myself is not something I am not consistent with, yet. But your blog really encourages me to set those loving foundations, thank you once again.

  224. Thank you for sharing your experience of appreciating what “detail” can open up for yourself and others. “God is in the detail” feels beautiful to read and I am appreciating how honouring as this awareness builds a true connection with God.

  225. I love this blog more each time I read it. Thank you Bianca. There is so much for me in it. So much for all of us. To learn and to be inspired by. It’s awesome. Much appreciation. Thank you.

    1. I agree with you Otto Bathurst as each time I read this I feel there is so much more for me in it and it expands me. The title alone has stayed with me and reminds me everyday that every detail does matter and its ok to pay attention to the detail because god is in the detail. Why on earth would I want to miss that.
I love the importance of detail and I love living my life with detail. I work hard at keeping my life simple and that helps me pay attention to the detail as things are not complicated in my world.

  226. I loved this, Bianca. It also made me reflect on how when we are living in and with the right energy (love), the small details all fit together nicely, and life works with us; when we are expressing less than love, it is the small details that trip us up, grinding against how we want the world/ourselves to be, and thus exposing where we are at.

If we can pay attention to the details, they actually offer us a guide or reflection as to how we are living – either confirming our love or drawing attention to our lack of it.

  227. Wow I have never understood that saying ‘devil’s in the detail’ either and until now have not understood why so thank you for this blog. Paying attention to details, or as my wife and I call it, the minutiae of life (which is everywhere in nature as you say) is so important and makes such a simple difference to every day quality of life. As someone who often has an issue with ‘time’ and not having enough of it, I find living in the present moment and paying attention to details invaluable.

  228. I have always been very organised, driven by lists and getting stuff done. For a long time I thought that was attention to detail. More recently I have accepted that the to do list is a pull out of the moment, out of the detail of right now. What do my fingertips feel like on the keyboard, what does my posture feel like as I sit at my desk, do I feel my clothes against my skin as I am getting dressed? As examples of some detail, these are all moments that we can be with ourselves and God, laying the foundation and quality of the next moment.

  229. Amazing, simple and yet such powerful truth, ‘God is in the detail’. Thank you for sharing your insights, much appreciated. I keep coming back to read this blog because there is so much in it to reflect upon about the details of my daily life and what it is teaching me.

  230. It is so beautiful to read your article for the second time Bianca. I can really feel the truth that ‘God is in the detail’. I love the way you describe how when you ‘cook with attention to detail the meal looks and smells amazing’ and ‘the food tastes amazing’, reading your article brings awareness that I can often prepare food and cook food on auto-pilot, rather than with attention to detail. I will ponder on this, thank you.

  231. Everytime I read this blog and the comments I can relate more with ‘God is in the detail’. It seems when I pay attention to detail in what I am doing, it helps me become more still, and when I am more still I become aware of all sorts of other details I was not even thinking about . And when I let myself be aware of all the detail, everything feels so much more vibrant and alive. I feel very inspired to pay more attention to detail in my life.

    1. I like the way you have expressed that Golnaz, paying attention to what you are doing helps you become more still. I have noticed when I don’t pay attention to detail, I make mistakes because I have lost that feeling of stillness, either because I am rushing or thinking about something else. In the stillness the detail becomes more obvious and as you say you see detail in things you were not even thinking about.

  232. Hi Bianca I love your blog. I can feel, as you write, the appreciation of the infinite detail that has been given to us with such love. There is no detail left out so to remind me that when I do rush things I am essentially leaving out the detail and the loving support that it gives. I actually crave the detail in those moments because I can feel, in my body, incomplete, unsupported and basically on my own. To so beautifully remind me that all I need do is start paying attention to the detail and the world opens up again is just wonderful. Thank you.

    1. I agree with your comment Karin – I feel it in my body quickly now – when I choose to be in a rush, “I am essentially leaving out the detail and the loving support that it gives”. The day becomes like an obstacle race instead of a beautiful flow and rhythm throughout the day.

      1. I agree, Karin and Stephanie. This is my experience, too. I used to leave everything to the last minute. These days I’m less in a rush and try and allow plenty of time for the details of life, then everything flows…..

      2. Very true Stephanie and Karin and a trap I regularly fall into as well. Roll on the day when I can with grace, enjoy taking time to ensure all the details are correct – it supports not only me but so many people that are on the receiving end of those details! Its definitely a work in progress and I have come along way on this journey. Great post and great reminder that God’s presence is in absolutely everything around us, whether we choose to notice or not.

  233. I keep on coming back to this blog again and again, especially the part about cooking and eating. How much respect I can feel in this, respect for everything, the food, the choosing, the attention, the way of cooking and eating, the appreciation of me, if I actually choose to follow this. As you say, Josh, it applies to everything else too, and I find if I remember to connect to this respect and attention to detail when I am approaching something I find difficult, then it loses its power over me, and I begin to enjoy it.

    1. I too chose to re-read this amazing blog again today, an inspiration to start my day paying even more attention to details.

      1. Amazing how one blog can inspire so many to change the way they live and start paying more attention to the details – thank you again Bianca; incredible what you have shared.

  234. Another simple but profound message – detail is all encompassing. Being present in a moment changes everything not only for you but for all those around you, and it paves the way for the next moment too. A beautiful passage with great examples. Thank you.

    1. Thank you Jenny for your expression – ‘detail is all encompassing’. Encompassing is a word that feels as though it brings together all that God is and embraces us into a life of oneness.

  235. Today is most certainly a day for detail, as I remind myself to come back to me. How lovely it is that the blog is here for us all to revisit if we wish when we choose again to make that choice to come back.

  236. It’s very inspiring to hear you say ‘I was present with every morsel of food so a small amount feels like a 3 course meal. ‘ a level if responsibility and presence that assisted you on the fact that what you had was enough and that you did not need any more thereafter.

  237. Great blog, thank you Bianca. I have also noticed the difference in my cooking, for example, when I am paying attention to the details – if I am not having a good day, and just want to eat as soon as possible, then the food often doesn’t turn out the way I expect, or I end up feeling bloated after the meal. However, if I bring focus to my cooking and am more playful with it, I find that it is much more joyful to cook and I enjoy sitting down to eat much more.

    1. Hi Jessica, I completely agree – if I just want to eat fast, I miss details when I’m cooking, whereas if I actually plan… the meals turn out so much better and I enjoy them a lot more.

      1. I agree Cheryl, our commitment to ourselves is to every part of the whole – I know I often choose to discount this.

  238. I just love this blog, I keep being drawn back to it again and again, and each time I feel more deeply that God is in the detail, of the details.

  239. So gorgeous! The devil is in the detail really does not make any sense at all!

Now when you reveal that god was there all along waiting for us to be present in every moment and every little detail, well that so joyfully opens up the gates of heaven! Thank you for exposing the trick Bianca.

  240. It’s definitely that pause and focus when we’re applying attention to detail which allows the space for God’s presence to be felt. In those moments the door is closed to anything entering our minds from outside – and a wellspring of Love arises to be felt from inside. We are then open to seeing everything afore us with clarity.

  241. I find this blog both beautiful to read and hugely practical to apply to life. I have had the same experience with cooking and eating. When I bring full attention to cooking and it is an event that I fully experience and stay present doing, then the food is both much tastier and far more filling. Meaning I eat less and am satisfied for longer. It makes me question why I ever prepare food in any other way. Also, could this approach to food be another supportive tool to challenge our current obesity epidemic?

    1. Great question Stephen, the fact as a nation we are getting faster at everything including preparing food means we are missing the detail and the connection we could get. Fast food is just that -fast and with no real thought to how it was prepared. In my own experience I am finding if I eat with out being present I am very likely to feel very hungry again soon so yes Stephen I feel this more present and practical approach to food could be a very supportive tool to challenge the current obesity epidemic.

    2. Great point Stephen about using the approach presented in this article of paying attention to detail, as a way to try and reduce obesity across the world.

    3. Could this just not work for everything in life, by staying present! Brilliant ‘could this approach to food be another supportive tool to challenge our current obesity epidemic’.

  242. “stop, breathe, come back to my body”.
So simple. so effective, so ‘It Just Works’ to enable reconnection.
And let me agree… the list of ‘bastardised truths’ is very very long indeed.
    Thank you Bianca.

  243. Bianca this is one of my favourite blogs – I am a champion multi tasker and in my current role at work am not being fulfilled and don’t have much to do. As such I am having to make one task last a while. Doing one thing at a time is proving extremely difficult. I am making many mistakes and falling asleep at my desk due to the lack of pressure… However I am beginning to develop conscious presence in all that I do. Last night, maybe for the first time in my life (after attending Sara Williams Women In Livingness meeting in London), I applied tenderness to eating my dinner. I tenderly cut my sausage up and really tasted it. This was an amazing feeling actually and I noticed straight away that I wasn’t bloated, again a first for me. Not only had I chewed my food properly but my body had taken the time to feel the food and so had time to register that it was full. Amazing step forward for me. I will take this experience to work today and see how I can apply this in all I do at work as well, thanks so much for the inspiration.

    1. When we introduce that tenderness and delicacy into a moment (cutting up our food, opening a door, greeting someone in the street) and commit to that moment being a marker for the next, we start to build a foundation and approach to life that changes everything…just by attending to the detail. Thank you, Bianca, I love what your blog offers and inspires.

      1. Agreed, Matilda. What a wonderful approach to life rather than rushing around and missing out on all the magic. Thank you, Bianca, for presenting this so beautifully.

    2. Thank you for sharing Rachael, so interesting to hear about your experience of how bringing tenderness to an everyday activity such as eating completely changed how you felt afterwards, so amazing!

  244. Bianca this is a blog I could re-read 100 times it is truly exquisite and such a beautiful reminder that God really is in the detail. We so often try to find him in a Church or in what we are doing or expect him to be there for us when we have a problem or are sick, but your blog reminds us that he is everywhere all of the time if we choose to feel the beauty of each moment and how nature reflects this. I love how you describe the wind blowing through the trees down to the last detail, I can feel the stillness in your words. Thank you Bianca.

    1. I agree totally, Alison – this is a blog to be read many times as it stands for such simplicity and beauty that is only to be found in the stillness of God, and as you say in every detail, everywhere. It is amazing, Bianca in the way that you have expressed so clearly the beauty of detail as something to be honoured.

  245. Amazing. When we take the time to appreciate the detail of the natural world around us and everything we do we connect to the joy and love of God. Beautiful article and great comments.

  246. Yes, Julie, your whole comment really resonated with me – in particular the last couple of sentences ‘And it’s really not scary. Even when what I feel is raciness or exhaustion, the fact that I am willing to connect with and listen to my body means more to me than anything!’ It still never ceases to amaze me that when I am willing to connect to all of me – even the ‘what is not’ is feels so great to at last be able to feel the whole of me and not feel judgement or criticism – but just Wow!

  247. I just love this blog. I find it really supportive in my daily life. Whenever I loose focus, it’s such a simple way to bring me back to me and to the job at hand, by remembering …God is in the Detail.

  248. I have always loved to see details in nature. The way a leaf falls, or patterns on trees or in a flower. But to be able to focus on details related to what I was doing in any given moment? Not so much.

Reading this blog helped me connect with the fact that I used to feel that to be detailed is to be very single-focused, and, dare I say… boring. I would pride myself on the fact that I wasn’t a detail person!

But the truth is that focusing on details disturbed me, because it meant that I have to be present and with myself, and feel what is there in my body to feel.

Only when I started to let go of any judgement of what I might notice when I choose to be present with me, did I feel there could be beauty in the details of what I was doing. And it’s really not scary. Even when what I feel is raciness or exhaustion, the fact that I am willing to connect with and listen to my body means more to me than anything!

  249. And in that every moment detail, paying careful attention to the little things in life, we lay the path ahead. So simple and sweet. Thank you, Richard and Bianca.

  250. This is so gorgeous to read and so inspiring, this is something I really need to learn in my life right now and I feel what you have written has really helped me. I also really loved what you wrote about how the wind blows through the trees, I felt I was watching this with you – I love watching trees especially when the wind gentle blows on the leaves. Thank you xx

  251. I read this one a while ago, and felt to re-read it. I realised that in my first reading I had rush through it and had missed a truly beautiful passage at the end:
“If you have ever watched the wind blowing through the trees and felt the absolute harmony and stillness of the movement of the leaves as they dance and glide in unison together creating a ripple of harmony through the air, you will feel the beauty that detail can bring.”
This is just exquisite. Reading it brought me to a stillness and a fineness of attention that captured the essence of the whole piece.
    Just beautiful.

    1. Thanks for pointing this out Naren – I love to watch the wind blowing through the trees and never really new why – it just felt magical and as I look out the window and watch the leaves blowing/dancing there is a real beauty in that – they come alive.

      1. What a beautiful picture David. It is always quite magical watching the weather or walking down the street at the beginning of autumn and a single golden leaf gently dances it’s way around you to the ground.

      2. Thank you for continuing the conversation about the magic of observing the weather. I too find this magic particularly when it is combined with other aspects of nature, such as trees or lakes. For example if I take the time, I can feel the magic and an amazing power and beauty in trees, but I tend to become numb to it as I rush around in life, but when the wind or the rain combine and bring the tree into a kind of a dance with music playing through its branches, everything becomes more alive for me and I cannot help but notice the amazingness of what I have before me and what I am part of.

      3. Thank you Golnaz for your comment – I love the feeling of the tree dancing to the music of the wind – when we connect with nature that is where we truly feel the magic of God.

      4. Thank you Golnaz for your beautiful comment on the blog God Is In The Detail. I love the way you describe how the beauty of the tree is enhanced when the wind and rain come into play and the combination of the three plays out as a wonderful dance and celebration of nature. When we truly observe we can see and sense the presence of God.

  252. Great summing up Richard, reading this has reminded me its the quality we’re in not the long list of tasks done! I had a funny experience after reading this article that in a work meeting someone bought up “the Devil is in the details” as if the details are a bad thing. They had spent a long time looking at the detail and saw it as a curse rather than a blessing. Without this article I would have gone along with that saying..

  253. Beautiful. We often feel the detail is burdensome when in truth it actually creates flow and space as we move forward. The commitment to the detail sets a foundation that ‘feeds us back’. God is in the detail.

    1. I can relate to that Matilda, we think the detail is burdensome but in truth it feels so joyful if we choose to bring our attention to the detail, children do it always, because there is a magic in it.

    2. That is so true Matilda, I know that I will often feel that the detail is burdensome when in actual fact it is expanding us and allowing to have more space and time. As you say ‘it feeds us back’.

    3. Well said Matilda – in the past I have definitely seen details as inconveniences and burdensome, when actually, as you say, they give us the opportunity for a greater level of commitment.

  254. ‘On the days when I look and feel the most beauty-full, it has always been possible because of the attention to detail I have allowed when I have prepared for my day. If I continue to bring this level of presence to every moment of my day with loving consistency – not a driving for perfection – my day just flows.’ So true, Bianca, making time to create a loving foundation for our day truly makes a difference.

    1. Those words also caught my attention Carmel. I can relate to having that same experience. A timely reminder to slow down and pay attention to the detail.

  255. “The world slows down around me and I am enveloped by this exquisite space. I feel whole again. I honestly feel connected to all and without a doubt feel the presence of God. How could I not? – I feel full of love in these moments and truly precious.”

For a long time I did not feel this way about life, or God or the magic that is there all around us. Then at one of the Universal Medicine retreats I reconnected with it, and it was exactly as you describe. And when I choose it its there again, and again. And knowing that one can access it through something as simple as the details of life, just makes it infinitely accessible. Thank you so much for the blog / little gift from heaven.

  256. Prior to reading this amazing blog, I had not heard of the idiom…. God is in the detail… but now I find that being aware of the detail of what I am involved with brings a magical quality to the task at hand. A heartfelt thanks to you Bianca and also to your beauty-full friend for sharing the wisdom that… God is in the detail.

  257. It is great how you have turned the outdated and untrue saying about the devil being in the detail around and shown us how it really is – God is in the detail and it is an ever expanding opportunity for love, presence and joy.

  258. Wow this blog is beauty-full. I love the focus of the blog as the detail is truly a great way to appreciate harmony and stillness. I love your analogy of cooking and eating as the detail is so hugely overlooked that we have allowed a spiral out of control in society, and I love your nugget at the end about how through clever twisting of true phrases you can keep humanity ever searching for the what is not. Amazing, great contribution.

  259. I just had to reread this article as it is so beautiful to claim that yes God really is in the detail so lovingly. Thank you.

  260. This is a fab blog. “God is in the Detail” is an expression that I have used often in my life. But it is only in recent years that I have used it in truth. I work on film and television sets and often observe people work with real precision and focus and commitment. It’s very beautiful. I love it. Sometimes they will apologise for it, because the time pressures of the world (especially acute on film sets where “time is $$$”!!) don’t nurture that level of attention to detail. But I am always super quick to get in there and confirm them and often say “please, take whatever time you need… God is in the Detail.” Sometimes they laugh and so I look them in the eyes and say it again, “No really, God is in the Detail.” It’s very, very beautiful to observe and also to do myself. It is super true. “God is in the Detail”. And when you take the time and presence to really commit to whatever it is you are doing, you truly meet yourself and this glory can be felt both in you and in what you are doing and thus in the imprint that you leave behind. I feel this so often at work. Another time I was working on a period show and was being shown all the receipts, paperwork, betting slips etc..etc…that the Art Department had individually and exquisitely designed and fabricated. I cried. It was so amazing (initially they thought I was a bit weird for crying!! but when I explained myself and expressed my deep gratification for what they had done – they got it!). The level of detail was divine. God is in the detail. These things would probably never be seen on screen, certainly not close enough to show the details. They knew that. Yet still they had committed to that level. It was very inspiring. And the beauty of it is that whilst their work may not be seen on screen, it would certainly be felt on screen. So. YES. God is in the Detail.

  261. Wow! Thank you Bianca. This so simply shows how awareness and presence deliver the beauty of the detail around us all, all of the time.

  262. Wow Bianca, that is the most awesome blog and I could feel every word that you wrote. It is so inspiring to read something that seems to come at a point in our lives when we are willingly open to the idea. The blog is so supportive – to be able to sense how precious is every moment that we spend with ourselves and to truly honour each moment that we have been given, rather than rushing through the day focussed on what we are achieving.

I wholeheartedly endorse your comment about Serge Benhayon – ‘I will forever be inspired by Serge Benhayon, his love for humanity, the presence he brings and his attention to detail. Heart-full thanks and appreciation Serge for bringing all of you.’ So beautifully and succinctly expressed.

  263. Yes thank you Bianca, I have always felt that I wasn’t a detail person, preferring the big picture instead, – but particularly regarding nature and how I am with it and also how I am with myself, I have found myself embracing the detail more and more. But when it comes to legal agreements and hugely lengthy terms and conditions, always provided in a tiny font, I feel that it is often evil rather than God that is in these particular details.

  264. Thank you Bianca, for me this is a timely reminder ‘God is in the detail.’ How true that is.

  265. Bianca this blog couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for me, I totally get it! Thank you for saying what I needed to hear today. 🙂

  266. Thank you Bianca for sharing the amazing simplicity of truth. God is in everything and everything is God, we simply need to pay attention to the detail to truly know and understand that.

  267. Since reading your blog I have been reflecting on the detail I choose to put or not put into my life. Detail I would have previously pushed aside, I have looked closer and remembered your words. I have realised that yes God is indeed in the detail, and by giving myself permission to see and feel this, confirms the eternity of his love. Thank you Bianca, exquisitely beautiful.

  268. I love your blog Bianca and the way you share can be felt and this is a great way to live.
I am big into detail so I can really relate to what you are saying. The cooking food resonates as I too have found that I eat less and feel more full because of the Fullness in which I plan and prepare my food to cook. It can be something really basic and simple and yet it feels so much more.
I no longer feel bored or empty.
The detail in my tiny things that I do everday that has created space for more of God’s magic and I love this way of living.
Thank you Bianca and your beautiful friend who said to you “God is in the detail.”
It prompted this great blog and amazing comments which is a confirmation of how true it is what you are saying.

    1. Beautifully shared Bina, and inspired by your meals and the the way you live in the detail, with cooking food, spices and more, I have found for myself how amazing a simple meals taste; so easy and joyful to feel inside my body sitting light and beautiful and the smallest portion being enough.

  269. Yes beautiful blog Bianca and so inspiring to read. God is indeed in the detail and I feel this myself when I bring presence to the simplist of tasks like housework – something I used to rush and do on auto pilot just to get the job done. When I choose to hoover and dust, paying close attention to how everything feels, it becomes a joy and like you say everything flows from there. 🙂

  270. What a beautiful experience… to read your blog so full of grace Bianca, and the comments already posted. I can’t help but feel the truth of God being in everything – all the more deeply so as I sit with this, and look outside to the most exquisite detail in the leaves of a tree fern, or the vibrancy of red geranium flowers, with the winter sunlight dancing upon it all…
In appreciating the detail, and my own interconnectedness with all, and ‘the all’, I also cannot but feel one with Him, and allow the true aliveness that is in everything around me, and in every cell of my being to be known.
Thank you Bianca and everyone here. I am feeling the detail of the energy centres in my own body that say ‘yes’ to this knowing, and how absolutely exquisite it is – sparkling and truly Divine. God is here.

  271. Thank you Bianca, when I read your beautiful blog and the following inspiring comments I felt my body expand and come alive in response to the love expressed and the truth that God is in the details. So I took a moment to sit with this and I came to feel that our body and soul is so, so in love with us paying attention to details that this allows us to become more of our true selves, through expansion, thus creating space for more love and joy in our bodies… which then flows into whatever we are paying attention to… which then creates even more love, joy and flow… which then inspires us to stay with the detail and around and around it lovingly goes.

  272. Great blog, it brings home for me to bring my connection back to stillness, stop and connect to breath. I have been getting so caught up in getting things done, that I forget to stop and I am so aware that things are getting delayed as I am already spinning in the doing. So it’s a great reminder to stop, connect to breath and bring myself back to me. Feel my godly connection in myself first and then go about my day. When I choose to flow this way, more gets done and I feel amazing.

    1. Awesome Amita. I feel the same way, if we stop to feel our bodies then all of our actions will be with a much greater quality and we will be amazed of how much we can do. It is just a matter of choice.

  273. Awesome blog Bianca – as you say how could God not be there when you so beautifully shared the dancing of the leaves.. God is everywhere if we choose to connect and be inspired by his every creation. Detail is totally under rated and his now highly rated in my book. Thank you.

  274. Brilliant blog confirming that, ‘If I continue to bring this level of presence to every moment of my day with loving consistency – not a driving for perfection – my day just flows. There is such a joy to my day. Time feels endless and I get so much done.’ So true. Thanks.

  275. During my many years setting up and signing agreements, how often I heard the phrase ‘the devil is in the detail.’ My understanding was that if you don’t pay attention to all the details, start skim reading, thinking you know what something means without bothering to clarify, then that’s when the devil can get in. There would be those who would suggest that some contracts were left deliberately vague just so that at a later date there was space for the devil to get in.

How many ‘deals’, which look great initially, have a time limit and by not going back and reviewing them become far from great and no longer fit for purpose.

So thank you Bianca for sharing all your examples of finding God in the detail, which leaves me realising that when I am present to that extent there will be no holes for the devil to exploit… and the consequences when I am not.

    1. Totally agree with this Kathie – it’s the deliberately vague that allows things to go wrong, and it’s a devil of a job to try and work ones way out of it from there. Best to go with God and get it right from the start!

  276. Thank you Bianca. Too often I’m in too much of a rush and override the attention to detail. You are so right on saying that life flows a lot better and there is more time too when details are attended to. And yes there must be uncountable sayings that have deliberately been bastardised to keep us separated from the truth.

    1. I too have often been in a rush to get things done, not paying attention to the detail. I type too quickly and then have relied on the spell check to alter my typos. As I write now I am typing each letter more slowly and correctly – I think Susie wrote something about this in another blog……which made a big impression on me. Simplicity and presence for me. Thankyou Bianca for a great blog.

  277. Bianca, this post is amazing and made me ponder a lot about it. I love the practicality in which you describe God being in the details, it’s beautiful. I was raised as a catholic and God was supposed to be ‘someone’, something outside of us, a man who lived in the sky… So far from the simplicity of what God really means, stillness, connection to our essence. I notice for myself that when I am attentive to and caring for myself I am more in tune with the beauty of nature, of a baby’s smile, of other people. And when I am rushed, not attentive to myself, the opposite happens. Attention to details, I love it!

  278. Hi Bianca, I love the blog and the expression ‘God is in the detail’, When I read a blog like this it is such an inspiration to then choose to take the wisdom with me into my day and this phrase is certainly one of those wisdoms I will choose. Thank you.

  279. This is amazing and so very true. I know more than ever the power each moment can have, when lived in appreciation of this fact that ‘god lives in the detail’.

  280. Bianca – your blog has shaped my day. As I cooked it was with me, and as a light hearted aside, it was with me this evening as I prepared to take my dog for a very short stroll. Briefly I thought, ‘we are just going up the road, maybe I won’t put a bra on.’ I then looked at my bra, and said, ‘no, God is in the detail and right now that detail (and self care) is in this bra!’

  281. A beautiful blog Bianca, I so agree that when we are totally with ourselves in what we are doing, saying, and thinking, God is felt in us and everything… and just flows.

  282. Thank you Bianca for sharing this. I can feel the attention to detail you wrote it in and how that is also God being present. I love details. They make all the difference! You bring an extra dimension with God and the bastardisation of the truth.

    1. Thank you Monika, it was an absolute joy to write with attention to detail and feel the eternal divine spark I am flowing through my expression.

  283. Written from my own heart. You have expressed the everything in the anything so well. It is the moments that matter and I was only feeling the other day how each and everytime we bring ourselves in full to a moment, we contribute to that one day… the one day we re-unite with all that is. Thank you, Bianca. I simply love this.

    1. Spot on so true, every detail taken care of offers a fuller foundation for the next moment. Love it.

    2. Beautifully put, Jane. Thank-you. Your comment reminds me how important it is not to take this fuller foundation for granted for even though the outcome is assured, the how and the quality of energy we bring to each and every detail is a choice that can affect the journey for us all – at once, and as one. We are so very power-full in our fullest presence!

  284. What a refreshing take on an old saying “the devil’s in the details” that I never understood. Your message here Bianca has provided me with a greater appreciation for myself and a deeper understanding of what it means to live in a way that focuses on the details of things and what we do. In the past, I have been somewhat criticised for putting too much emphasis on the details of my work or daily life, but now I realise that the magic of life is many times found in those intimate details. Like noticing a tiny beautiful iridescent green beetle crawling on the ground while on a walk, or appreciating how playful and joyful a group of squirrels are acting as they chase each other up and down a tree in the park. These are all reminders and reflections of the beauty that is inside us. Where I have tended to go astray is when I have gone from focusing on the details of my
work to getting into perfectionism or feeling what I am doing is never good enough. But as soon as I re-focus on my body (like the detail of my in-breath and out-breath) and how it feels while moving it, this feeling tends to subside, and it becomes easier to just be me in every moment.

    1. Thank you Michael. I agree focusing on the quality of our in and out breath and making it gentle is such a beautiful and simple way to bring us back to ourselves and the moment at hand.

    2. It is so true what you express here Michael. When we are with ourselves in the moment, we notice that life is full of miracles.

  285. Wow! This blog shows me so much about how I am not living in the present, focused on whatever I am doing. I know that on the days I am with myself in every moment everything flows and I am not exhausted and feel light, and there is a lot of space in the day, especially the cooking and eating, that is a big reminder for me and I am sure, many others. Stop, connect, and then start choosing food and cooking, I am inspired to keep this blog by me in the kitchen and start eating small, simple, gourmet meals. thank you Bianca.

  286. Thank you. Your article offered a possibility I hadn’t considered before. That if i bring more presence to when I eat, how I cook the food, laying the table, I might get more from the meal – not feel hungry after, because I was there with every mouthful.

    1. That is quite profound, and this has also reflected to me further that if I bring more presence with any thing that I do, how nourishing will be my experience from that action.

    2. Jane definitely very nourishing, changes the way we live our life and how connected and joyful our life becomes.

    3. I have also been considering this as too often I am in a rush to eat my meal. I love what Bianca has expressed here about being present with the meal. I can feel this will be of huge benefit to me. Thank you for the inspiration!

    4. Yes Rebecca this also reminded me to bring more presence whilst eating. Such profound messages in simplicity and common sense!

  287. So beautiful Bianca thank you. Your article so wonder-fully expresses the beauty of the simple things in life that so often get overlooked and overridden. Universal Medicine has inspired me to re-connect to the simplicity of being present and the magic that this brings to the normal, everyday activities. It has re-opened my eyes to the wonder of life and the beauty of God. Your article has also beautifully offered me the opportunity to go deeper with this. Thank you.

  288. So beautifully and delicately expressed Bianca. ‘God is in the detail’ is one of my all time and forever meaningful phrases too. I suppose we could say the current equivalent of this might be: “Everything is everything, nothing is nothing.” (Serge Benhayon)

  289. Gorgeous Bianca. Yes I feel that we all know God’s presence and can feel God when we are able to stop and pay attention to detail, not in a critical way, but in loving observation. It’s great to know and feel that we can connect and feel God’s Love in every single moment.

  290. Yes this is great. Details and the quality in which we choose them have so much to teach us, and when we really notice the small stuff the world becomes so obviously purely divine.

  291. Wow thank you Bianca and Angela. I loved the beautifully practical example of cooking a meal and feel inspired to prepare my breakfast in this way but could also really relate to bastardising of detail and the over complication I have brought into my life, and how that has distracted me from really being with me and kept me going around in circles in my mind. The more I am able to connect with myself and the quality of my presence, the more time expands and instead of rushing through my day I can appreciate the beauty in each action I perform.

  292. Awesome blog Bianca. You have described beautifully how simple life can be. Thank you.

  293. Hi Bianca, yes I can relate to what you’ve said. when I slow down and pay attention to the detail time seems to open up. This makes me more present so that I actually experience what I’m doing. Its a great technique to practice as it makes me feel I am actually living my life rather than whizzing through it in a mental flurry. The mental flurry happens when I’m in my head and thinking about other things rather than what I’m doing. When I do this whole days can pass me by without me really being present with myself or those around me.

  294. Thank you Bianca for writing so beautifully and detailed about God being in the detail and I feel and relate with everything you present. I have been noticing how with care and attention, how amazing simple meals now feel like a gourmet adventure, so easy and freeing. This goes for shopping too and the whole process of how plates and food are placed in my cupboards, arranged on the plate and the table setting.
With this appreciation and joy my whole body feels lighter when eating and if not I can now catch myself eating too quickly for example, requiring me to stop and it slows down. In fact my whole day slows down, flows and is more spacious in the detail with a magic I notice with God. Amazing and simple for us all. Thank you.

  295. Great blog Bianca. I know when I am not paying enough attention to the detail because I will always get some sort of reminder, like banging or dropping something and then I have the choice to come back to me or carry on in that momentum.

    1. Good point Tim, when I am not present with what I’m doing I also find that sometimes I can bang into things/drop things/make mistakes.

  296. Thank you Bianca, it is very inspiring to read you’re article as I can relate to what you have written about preparing for your day. I love getting ready in the mornings with all the details, from how I gently put on my clothes, my jewellery, how I tenderly put cream on my face and how I brush my hair and put my hair up, when I am present and focussed on the detail I feel my beauty and amazingness and I can feel that this supports me in my day.

  297. Thank you Bianca, I agree the details are where the magic unfolds. As you note, the presence that is required to be with the details is a great support to a harmonious flow in the day. Awesome.

  298. Bianca, gorgeous blog. God so is in the details. I love how you describe it so simply and clearly and can feel the quality to detail you bring. And love what Angela adds about that quality being vital. I love detail but at times I’ve gotten lost in the perfection of it and not taken care with the quality I bring. Lovely reminder today thank you.

  299. Bianca, this is so true all my life I’ve held that belief that the “Devil is in the details” not really taking much notice of it – yet every time I think of the detail up that comes. Yet through the presentations of Universal Medicine I’ve come to know the importance of the detail. With your article I can really see how it’s time to let go of that old saying and all it brings and embrace that “God is in the Detail”. Thank you.

  300. I enjoyed reading your article, a great start to my day Bianca, beautifully expressed, thank you.

  301. I love this blog, the exquisite-ness of detail and how it supports us when we pay attention to the little things. Thank you Bianca

  302. This blog is really power-full and inspirational, while reading it I could feel my body relax, let go and my breath deepen as I became more spacious.. Also my attention to the detail of how I am typing my comment, is greater than it has been previously. In my everyday life, I am feeling inspired to deepen my awareness and connect more with the truth that…God is in the Detail. Thank you Bianca

  303. Thank you Bianca I love the detail and simplicity you have brought to us, God is in the detail and I could feel it in your words so it was a wonderful reminder how simply we can re-connect to God through the detail. I, like Angela, have spent a lot of my life getting caught up with the other detail, that takes me into my mind and away from my heart and looks for detail as a way of bettering my self, or trying to be perfect and all this does is to take me into an anxiousness that feeds itself to be more perfect. I love your blog Bianca it has been so lovely and very healing to be reminded that God is in the detail.

  304. God is in the detail – a beautiful expression. The amazing detail that is in nature all around us clearly reveals that God is indeed in the detail. Going for a walk and taking the time to be aware of the detail of the colour and design of a butterfly or a delicate flower brings a sense of wonder. Bringing this attention to detail to ourselves and everything we do confirms that here too God is in the detail. Thank you.

  305. Awesome blog Bianca. I agree with Ryan, you have expressed in such detail, practicality and simplicity and I am inspired to be more attentive to details in my day today.

  306. Thank you Bianca, for a beautifully detailed, but yet simple and clear sharing. I too am learning the magic of paying attention to details through the day and what a huge difference this makes in how the day flows, relationships and the quality I feel within a task or action. What you have shared though has brought a deeper understanding, appreciation and connection to the beauty and importance of attention to details. Lovely!

  307. Dear Bianca, can I say Wow! What a beautifully grace-full blog. I could just feel the flow and the steadiness as I read it and could feel this in my body… the Grace and Steadiness of God… I so loved what you shared… I have spent most of my life bastardising detail – as in, caught up in the detail that came with having to prove myself, to be perfect, to not make mistakes, to point out the mistakes of others (ouch!) and seemingly never ever having as much detail as I thought I should which often resulted in over complication (another ouch!)… What I could feel and can now start to appreciate is that for me, the detail was in the ‘doing’, it always (and sometimes still does…) came with a pressure, and a feeling of I ‘have’ to…. With the support of Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine over the past 4 years, I am now realising that it’s not the ‘detail’ that was the issue, it was the quality and the way I was going about this that was the issue… I am now appreciating that the quality of the way I approach the detail is the all important and how I am with myself first… When I am present with myself (just as you so beautifully described in your example of cooking), the quality of the detail is absolutely precious and brings me not only to a deeper connection with myself and what I am doing, but with that, a closer connection to God and nature. God truly is in the detail – He can never be anything but… we only need to pay attention and feel the beauty that is always and already there… Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to connect more deeply to this fact…

    1. Angela, you have just bought this all to another level for me, thanks. I totally now get where I have been caught out, the pressure to be perfect and ignoring the quality of how things are done as being the MOST important thing. What a very inspiring read. I can see how I have much more of me to bring to the details of my day.

    2. I too loved this blog, and loved how it showed how detail can be loving, and support love and connection. I have come to know this sort of detail, but also know all too well the detail that Angela mentions – the detail that drives me, that I hide in, that overwhelms me, and enables me to show that I am ‘in control’. I am so appreciative of how the difference between true loving detail, and that which drives us away from ourselves has been so beautifully illustrated in this blog and Angela’s comment. May I remember to cherish the former, and observe and let go of the latter.

  308. Thank you Bianca. I also love attention to detail ! Thank you for reminding me of how precious it is !

  309. Thanks Bianca, I totally agree – God is in the Detail! I’ve found that looking after details is a really practical way of bringing love into life. Not in an obsessive way just truly caring.

  310. So, so beauty-full and full of love. Thank you Bianca for sharing your love of GOD. I love your attention to detail 🙂

  311. Bianca, I Love the details! Knowing that ‘God is in the details’ is an incredible support as it gives us a practical place to start and a tangible way to reconnect. Thank you for sharing how this powerful “little” way has helped your life to flow. Beautiful. Feeling the harmony you have invited, I am encouraged to re-focus on the details!

  312. What a beautiful blog Bianca – a loving reminder of rhythm, pace and spaciousness! As I read your writing I could feel tiny parts of my body letting go their hold, their stepping forward momentum to ‘get everything done’ – I was aware of the detail of this letting go and the expansion and trust that followed. Thank you for helping us start the day with such a beautiful hymn to God and thanks to Serge Benhayon, who is also always reflecting to us this same expansion.

  313. Thanks Bianca…I really enjoyed your article. I find that when I’m not present that I fritter away so much time, and I can see that by focusing on the detail, then that is a very practical effective way to bring me back to presence. Thanks for the lesson.

    1. Thanks Rod. When I am in the moment and bringing attention to detail I feel there is an abundance of time. I often find myself looking at the clock and marvelling that I have got so much done and only a small amount of time has passed. I used to check to see if the clock was broken but now when this happens I know I am in the flow of life and time is flowing with me.

  314. Hi Bianca, what a beautiful article and one which sums up exactly how I am feeling right now. I love the way you describe the detail, it’s like time stands still and in that moment I can feel the magic of God through your words. Detail is exquisite and I notice there are levels of detail which can take me deeper into my being and I become very aware and still. When I am feeling off centre, it’s the detail that brings me back.

  315. Thank you Bianca for sharing how important it is for us to really pay attention to detail. By doing so, it is wonderful how much more we are aware of and come to appreciate. Yes, that is where we find God and his wonderful works.

  316. I so read and felt the truth in the words ‘God is in the details’ that I had forgotten the words ‘the devil’s in the details’ even existed. It felt so jarring to read that and feel how the bastardisation of this phrase has led so many people on the merry dance of not taking responsibility for themselves and what is going on for them in their lives. And now we have the truth…. ‘God truly is in the details’ of every choice we make in each and every moment we have in our day.

  317. Thank you, Bianca. This is a great example of where we have allowed the truth to be twisted into the opposite and then we’ve even taken it to the point where it has become a well known adage, so that it is repeated and repeated, becoming part of our sub-concious. Lo and behold, we are then conditioned as a species to accept (believe) that paying attention to the detail of life is a bad thing. As you have so eloquently brought to our attention, the detail contains a great deal of beauty. Paying attention to the detail, can feel like a free trip transcending time and space. Maintaining this attention to detail may be unsustainable, initially, for an entire day but stopping periodically thoughout our day to really pay attention to the detail of what we are doing is like taking little mini-holidays.

    1. And the best thing about this mini-holiday is you are completely with you. I have found this presence rejuvenates my body. Alternatively when I take a break by checking out with my thoughts I feel tired, flat and deflated. It is like my natural vitality gets sucked away because I haven’t chosen to be with me.

  318. Bianca, a truly gorgeous blog full of inspiration. This sentence rang so true for me ‘On the days when I look and feel the most beauty-full, it has always been possible because of the attention to detail I have allowed when I have prepared for my day.’

  319. Thank you Bianca and in deep appreciation of your beautiful and thought provoking article. The difference of cooking and presenting food lovingly or just putting things on a plate was highlighted to me today when I visited a care home and saw scrambled egg with mashed potato and a white chocolate dessert! No colour, no thought and not loving! I spoke to the nurse and she was so lovely and promised that changes will be made. Her words were, we eat first with our eyes so that meal was unacceptable. ‘God is in the detail’. Serge Benhayon is a great messenger showing us by reflection how to be loving in everything we do.

  320. So lovely to read Bianca! I can totally relate and too notice that when I am focused on the details of everything I do, it completely changes the outcome and how I feel after… For example, when I am doing admin work as simple as entering information into the computer, if I focus on each letter I type on the keyboard and make sure I am not doing it aggressively or am distracted, then I find I do not get tired as much and my head remains clear even after being on the computer for consecutive hours.

    1. That’s amazing Susie – a great tip on how to go deeper with the detail. Thank you!

    2. A great reflection Susie. I also notice if I get ‘caught up’ in working on my laptop how I can disregard my whole body, face screwed up to focus, shoulders scrunched up somewhere around my ears and head at a very unnatural angle.

  321. Beautiful Bianca and so true – God is in the detail and it is those moments when we give everything our fullest attention that the magic of God can be seen. I have often pondered the expression “the Devil is in the detail” too. If you turn the word around, it’s “lived”, so maybe the more we pay attention to the detail, the more we truly Live!

    1. Simply gorgeous Rowena…I agree the more we pay attention to detail the more we truly Live!

  322. Dear Bianca, this was really beautiful to read. I love the way you have claimed your relationship with God in the simple everyday practicalities, in nature, in your stillness and in your expression from within. Thank you for sharing this joy with us.

  323. Wow – this could revolutionise the way so many of us eat – no more fast food and TV suppers, but instead paying attention to how we prepare the meal, the place where we sit, the way we eat. Detail in everything we do, wonderful.

    1. So true Carmel – a lot of people think, myself included at times, that having a ‘TV night’ eating dinner in front of a movie is relaxing or helps to ‘let go’, but in truth this is just saying no to enjoying the details in eating in the way that Bianca has described.

  324. This is so lovely, Bianca. It is a beautiful reminder of how simplicity in attention is so powerful and brings so much to us.

I have previously (and sometimes still do) been trapped in the cycle of trying to get things done as quickly as I can so I can get on with doing the things that I really want to do. Detail became unimportant or tasks became rote and I didn’t pay attention to the quality of my hands as I was doing them, or how I was breathing.

Even now, tapping away on the keyboard, bringing the focus to my fingertips brings a whole new different feeling to the way I type. What is so lovely about this attention to detail, is that it makes the old and humdrum, new again!

    1. Thank you Bianca a great exposing of something most of us have heard, I love your sharing about the way you prepare and eat your meals.
Naren I agree with you as well, bringing focus to my finger tips whilst I type brings a whole deeper quality to my body. I work primarily as a kitchen designer and often say to customers, just give me a moment I want to get this right – I’m a bit pedantic, as I like everything and all the detail to be spot on without perfection (at least the software can’t always do what I would like it to do).
Never once have I had anyone say I would rather you rush it, far from it people love it that I am taking the time and giving them and their design all of me – which brings with it the attention to detail. God is in the detail, in fact in everything.

    2. There is so much joy to be had when we bring our attention to detail. It feels so beautiful to feel my fingers glide across the keys as I type. I find the stillness I am feeling deepens too if I appreciate the loving choice I am making to bring my mind and body together so the detail can be experienced.

  325. Absolutely love your expression Bianca. You bring an awareness that is exquisite! And yes I agree, God is revealed in the details for me too. The magic and wonder of the human body is glorious for a start! Thank you Bianca.

    1. Hi Bernadette,
I recall a conversation we had recently about cells and the wonderment we expressed as we pondered on the body and how at the cellular level there is absolute precision and attention to detail. It feels very beautiful to ponder on the workings of the body and how it lives in the moment, presence is everything. If we get our mind out of the way by simply bringing attention to detail and allowing mind body alignment…the harmony and spaciousness we then feel is exquisite. There is no doubt that God exists in this space and He can be felt in detail.

    1. ‘Restoring truth to its rightful place’ and realising there is no such thing as an insignificant detail or moment. So exquisitely and simply put. Thank you, Bianca and Rachel.

    2. Thank you Rachel.
Bringing focus to breath is such a massive support. Simply bringing focus to my breath and then choosing to breath in gently stops the busyness and drive I may be feeling and brings me back to the magic of being with me in the moment.

    3. “As God is in every breath should we so choose it” Wow – Thank you Bianca and Jane. This stopped me in my tracks this morning and I shall take it into my day. .
