Thinking about Thinking

Reading a blog about a friend’s experience of cooking something she thought to be original, only to find the exact same dish was simultaneously being ‘discovered’ by a colleague, got me thinking about thinking and the origin of ideas and information.

The example of a ‘new’ recipe being thought of, ‘discovered’ and created by two foodies at the same time, invites the notion that maybe we tune into ideas rather than create them, with more than one of us sometimes catching onto or receiving the same thought.

When we watch a movie, images and sounds come to us and it is interesting to ponder that this could be true on a wider scale that allows for the possibility that, like TV or radio waves, thoughts come ‘to’ us, not ‘from’ us, as we like to think.

We know this for sure about our radios and TVs, our computers and smart devices: that is, that they are receivers of information via waves that we can’t see but that they nonetheless constantly receive and then output in the form of a song, a movie, an ad, data and voice transmissions and so on. We understand that the device does not originate the data, it receives it, stores it and displays or expresses it at the push of a button, the flick of a switch or the swipe or tap of a finger.

Just like a TV, radio or telephone, we don’t originate any of our thoughts or ideas but receive and then output them.

It is like we are all radio towers designed to tune into and receive outer frequencies and waves, but the thinking we’ve been tuned into for the past few thousand years has us believing (as an unquestionable fact) that we are the originators and individual owners of all our thoughts and ideas.

The idea of being a mere receptor, not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence, rudely suggesting that we are not special, nor different, nor brilliant, but somehow passive, mute and dumb.

Far from it, as the recipe experience shows – we may pick up the same frequency as another ‘tower’ but the way we receive and then act on the information picked up is dependant on our individual makeup and the quality of our tower (each radio tower stands in its own place and comes with its own background and level of maintenance and care), and this flavours our expression of the information tuned into.

Just entertaining this possibility is a bit of mind bender, but if we play along for a moment and call it a given that we are radio towers receiving all our thoughts, then our focus shifts away from the question of are we or are we not receptors of thoughts, to something much more interesting. If we are receptors not originators of ideas, information and thoughts in general, then:

  • What level of thinking, data and information are we tuned into and receiving?
  • What determines the frequency we are tuned into?
  • Are we ‘stuck’ on or limited to one frequency?
  • How do we alter the frequency we receive?
  • Is there a way of knowing the type of frequency we are tuned into?
  • What relevance is the condition of the tower to the quality or type of frequency of thoughts it receives?

Einstein wondered these things – or should we say tuned into these thoughts – and talked about there being different levels of thinking available to us, memorably saying: “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.”

But what if the other part to Einstein’s understanding is that we don’t actually create our level of thinking, we receive it, that is: we only think we think.

This is a game changer that explains so much of our behaviours, choices and everything from our crazy thoughts to our profoundly amazing ones.

Children are great examples of tuning into and receiving thoughts and ideas and so often from the mouths of babes, wisdom beyond their age and experience flows. There are many occasions where scientists separated by continents and culture end up ‘discovering’ the same thing simultaneously, without ever having access to the same physical data, yet find themselves to be sharing a convergence of the same thought or idea.

Starting to observe this phenomenon playing out in ourselves and others is a grand experiment in exploring our inner workings and our unseen connection with each other and the universe at large.

If our thoughts don’t come from us and we can’t see them coming, then to choose the quality of thought we’d like to have leaves us to feel our way, noticing how different thoughts make us feel when we receive them: heavy, worried, anxious, mean, jealous, self-doubting – or light, open, willing, joyful, focussed, definite and playful. Choosing not so much by content as by quality.

Once we take up a thought and express it in word or deed, its effects can clearly be seen and felt as they play out in ways that leave us or another feeling less, or deepens the responsibility and care we bring to ourselves and others.

We begin to know our physical selves – our body – as radio towers, that if broken or damaged with the hits and hurts of life, tune into frequencies that deliver a quality of thought very different to the quality of thoughts available to a tower cared for, maintained, tall and not only ready to receive thoughts, but aware of itself as a receiver of thoughts not by default but by design. Divine design in fact!

When we loosen our grip on thinking that we originate anything and start realising instead that as receivers of thoughts or consciousness, our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty. This way we begin to forever open ourselves to thinking about thinking that maybe we don’t really think. Now that’s worth thinking about!

  1. How important is it then to be responsible for our movements and the energy we align to, as that will determine what we put out, or what energy comes through our vehicle.

  2. Linda I was waiting in a queue outside a bank and I watched people as they walked by and it was the way they moved that gave away how they were. Most of the people were moving with their heads down slumped over and shuffling along, this gave them an air of given-up-ness and negativity. There were very few people, mainly children who were walking upright with a loose gait and their faces turned up and with a light step. So is it possible that the way we move affects the thoughts we receive?

  3. “The idea of being a mere receptor, not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence, rudely suggesting that we are not special, nor different, nor brilliant, but somehow passive, mute and dumb.”
Well can you imagine telling a professor or someone who considers themselves to be highly intelligent and has spent their entire life gaining knowledge that they are receivers of energy and that the thoughts they have are not their own but have been given to them, they would obviously dispute this. They have built themselves Ivory towers where no one can seemingly touch them so of course they will defend their knowledge (Ivory towers) and take ownership of what they know. What you are sharing Adrienne knocks holes in the ivory tower to expose the sham of thinking that we think and taking ownership of our thoughts.

  4. I have been noticing recently how my thoughts really aren’t mine. It’s obvious when you observe what goes on in your head without judging it. Sometimes a thought would fly though and when I catch it I think “i would never ever think that”. So it must come from somewhere, the notion that our thoughts just go through our head & we are not the initiators is something challenging for many of us because of everything we have thought and perceived life through. However, if we don’t fight it & are open to hearing the possibility we can see how it plays out in our life.

    1. Are we simply receivers of an energy that we are aligned to, like TV’s, or radios receive information, ‘ that they are receivers of information via waves that we can’t see but that they nonetheless constantly receive and then output in the form of a song, a movie, an ad, data and voice transmissions and so on.’

  5. Could it be when we think we think it comes with a form of judgement and comparison? As when we understand we are a vessel we are in the appreciation of our essences and the Love that our Soul can share with everyone equally.

  6. Great comment Doug, and it’s ironic that we have to dumb ourselves down to think we are intelligent or clever!

  7. It’s true that we can feel special and different to others by what we can express from the thoughts we have, we are very identified with the level of intelligence we have and how that relates in comparison to others – the whole education system is based on this. Seeing ourselves as receivers of consciousness and that our choice of what kinds of thoughts we have comes from the quality of the love we live takes out the idea of ownership. Even energy precedes thoughts and that’s where our will comes in to decide the quality we will receive – that’s what I’m looking at and learning at the moment.

    1. What quality of energy do we live, and receive, and so put out, ‘Seeing ourselves as receivers of consciousness and that our choice of what kinds of thoughts we have comes from the quality of the love we live takes out the idea of ownership.’

  8. ‘Just like a TV, radio or telephone, we don’t originate any of our thoughts or ideas but receive and then output them.’ I love this. It takes all the competition, the one person is better than another, more ‘original’ more creative away. We’re here to tune in for each other and deliver what’s needed. In dropping my comparison and allowing myself to appreciate people, life is joy-full. Comparison is just so toxic! It corrupts all that is beautiful and turns people on themselves then out to others in judgement and critique.

  9. ‘Just like a TV, radio or telephone, we don’t originate any of our thoughts or ideas but receive and then output them.’ When I first was introduced to this I fought and fought – who am I without generating my thoughts myself? This is very scary at first, like a real crisis in identity especially in a world where what you think is who you are – such accolades for being creative, a brilliant thinker etc. I’m discovering that when I do align to the essence of who I am, I have coming through me thoughts that are for us all and I get to feel the truth of who I am and who we are. This is very beautiful.

  10. It makes enormous sense that we are receivers of information just like a radio. My brain that wants to be the creator says surely not, but my body that knows it receives information knows it to be true. So how would we move if we chose a different radio station from the one we have normally listened to for a while?

    1. Great question to ponder on, ‘ how would we move if we chose a different radio station from the one we have normally listened to for a while?’

  11. Your analogy of likening us to radio towers that receives the world around us is brilliant Adrienne – and on a deeper level according to the knocks and hurts from life we have experienced this affects our quality of reception. I love reading this blog as it makes us more aware of what is at play with our interactions with others.

  12. Love reading this again. It’s always something I find difficult to accept so identified with my thoughts am I – which is totally normal, like you say it is a game changer. Being responsible to not let negative thoughts run by changing the quality of our movements and connecting to our breath is something I am now focusing on.

    1. Being aware of what is running us is super important, ‘Is there a way of knowing the type of frequency we are tuned into?’

  13. “What level of thinking, data and information are we tuned into and receiving?
What determines the frequency we are tuned into?
Are we ‘stuck’ on or limited to one frequency?
How do we alter the frequency we receive?
Is there a way of knowing the type of frequency we are tuned into?
What relevance is the condition of the tower to the quality or type of frequency of thoughts it receives?”

These are brilliant questions and so worth pondering on. I like the one about whether we are stuck on one frequency?.

  14. “It is like we are all radio towers designed to tune into and receive outer frequencies and waves,” This understanding brings the responsibility to care for our body as the antenna to be able to discern which vibration to tune into and to then reflect out to others.

    1. Yes looking after our bodies, because they are the receivers of the information, and because our bodies are therefore also transmitters of information, brings a whole new level to responsibility.

    2. Being aware of which energy is running us is key, ‘What level of thinking, data and information are we tuned into and receiving?’

  15. Generally in society we’re quite attached to our thoughts and the seeming intelligence of the mind, so just to even consider the possibility that they might not be our own is challenging for the mind. But it’s also empowering and ultimately liberating. To consider the possibility that our thoughts don’t belong to us, but are a stream passing through us, means that we can choose to listen to that stream, or not, or tune into a different frequency – simply by changing the quality of our movements.

  16. If we think about thinking we get lost in our mind because the mind does not figure things out, our body does.

  17. This also brings in the responsibility as to what thoughts are we re-transmitting and adding to the pool for others to pick up.

  18. Serge Benhayon has been presenting for many years that: we think we think, but in fact we do not, because we actually receive an energy that gives us the thoughts we think are our own – and which we then identify ourselves by. Which brings in to brilliant view – questions about who we are and why we are here – which again Serge is always on hand for providing the space to discover what the answers could possibly be.

  19. I can really feel the deadliness of thinking that we think. Letting go of the idea of ownership is a hard one, but we are all those antennas, no different from any other one. No one is special or more intelligent than any other one. The difference only comes from how we each take care of our own apparatus for it to be able to guarantee the quality of what gets transmitted, but we do not own a thing, we do not even own the apparatus – they belong to the Universe.

  20. It’s a challenging concept that we think we think, but if we simply are receivers then all we really have choice in is the quality of what we receive. A beautiful and very wise elder lady once said to me that the mind was never meant to be the master, only the servant of the heart. I know for me when I’m connected to my innermost heart the wisdom and love in my thoughts is truly beautiful to experience.

    1. It really does come down to what source of energy is coming through us at any given point, ‘if we simply are receivers then all we really have choice in is the quality of what we receive.’

  21. Thinking about Thinking – moving in cycles until we come to the realization ourselves that we are not really thinking the way we think we do but that there is a different way we actually cannot think of before we experience it. God has quite some humor and knows how to riddle us in our waywardness.

  22. It seems we are collectively interconnected much more than we ‘think’ we are although even our thoughts stem from a collective pool we draw them from. Hence interesting that we think we think, ie. that our thoughts are created and produced by our very personal mental process. So why is it that at least one source of collective thoughts makes us think that it is us who think so that we don´t know that our thoughts are given? Somethin worth ‘thinking about’ or better pondering on.

    1. Alexander Braun, you have just exposed the game being played we think we think but we are given the thoughts to think, while we think we think we are being controlled on another level which makes us puppets to an energy we cannot see, but just because we cannot see it doesn’t mean to say it’s not there. We cannot see the energy of a radio wave but take it for granted that we can watch television or listen to the radio without considering how it all works.

  23. To see ourselves as a vessel that receives and delivers energy makes things so simple- care for the vessel and we will call in an energy that is healing rather than harming.

    1. Yes it is very simple and liberating, but we often recoil at the idea as we are so attached to our me, me, me, I did it, I thought it, I am so clever individualism.

  24. The idea that we are “radio towers designed to tune into and receive outer frequencies and waves” makes so much sense to me. It clearly explains why often it felt like someone else had changed my channel as the thoughts that began to run through my mind were definitely not thoughts I was choosing, with some of them being not very loving at all. I had many ‘where did that thought come from?” moments, moments that used to totally confuse me but that are much fewer these days as my understanding of what thinking actually is begins to grow.

  25. It is a lovely feeling to have a great idea without needing to own the idea – it is just there and there are plenty more such insights available.

  26. Reading this again today brings an appreciation of the absolute wealth there is that is accessible for us all. When we fine-tune our instruments with the greatest love and care we are open to receive the vibrations that are harmonious and restorative for the whole.

    1. Bringing love and care to our body knowing how we are has an impact on all around us, and asks us to be responsible in how we move and live.

  27. I love how the many reflections in nature and the world offer us a deeper insight into the truth of our nature. It is a vibrational alignment that determines the quality of what moves through our vehicles of expression, the body.

  28. A mere receptor has no choice of what it receives. Perhaps we may be more like a tuner that has a choice what it receives and that choice is very powerful.

  29. The fact we choose to remain ignorant to this fact is really interesting, it is like we don’t want to relinquish our grasp on identifying with our thoughts, as if it’s not from us then who are we is a closed question.

  30. It is so important to really take notice of this truth, and like you share, many great thinkers (or tuner inners) have felt the same, musicians often say the music and lyrics are one to them.

    1. Yes my sense is this is not a new concept, and anyone who receives information, like your musician’s example, might say the same thing – that they received the message/song/book/plan. Yet how we work with that communication and how much we take ownership of it and be identified by it, is worth considering as we may need to question the source the information comes from.

  31. The whole concept of ownership is very interesting. When we consider that in truth we don’t own anything but are responsible for ourselves and to everyone and everything else then we see how caring for and nurturing in life are natural to us and allow us to support health on this planet.

  32. The more that I identify with me as an individual, the more I want to own every aspect of life as originating from me, especially what I think, produce and create.

  33. The point is not that intelligence does not exist but that we have an image of it. So, what we associate with it is ideas coming from our mouths. Yet, the Ageless Wisdom teaches us that intelligence is about vibration since it is the latter that opens the door to tune in into ideas. The higher the vibration, the more universal the ideas.

  34. “What determines the frequency we are tuned into?” – This is a big question, with an equally big and revealing answer. Is it the way that we move; walk, talk, eat, converse, get dressed, greet customers and drive our cars that determines what we receive. If everything is energy and even air is made from tiny atoms and particles that have their own energies and charges, then how can the way we move NOT also be a significant vibration?

    1. Yes, it is what we align to. A choice expressed in our movements and if we want to change what we are tuned into, we change our movements.

      1. These are amazing discussions to be having Christoph because we have questioned where our thoughts come from and that we are not the originators of our thoughts but receive thoughts. We are bringing in movement to the discussion, is it possible that the way we move has a bearing on the type of thoughts that we will receive. From this we can easily understand this is not the sort of education that we have been given, because our current education system is very much mind based. So my question is why is the education system set up so that we rely solely on our minds to the detriment of our bodies inner knowing, so that we actually crush our intuitiveness in favour of the mind, when we now know that we don’t think?

  35. This is something I really struggled and do still struggle to fully comprehend, that the thoughts in my head do not originate from me. I have many examples of this being true but completely 100% not from me challenged the core of my ‘self’. I definitely have less critical thoughts when I am taking better care of my body and what I eat.

  36. I totally agree, that there is constant communication, and it is our choice to tune in or not, and when we tune in, the communication is being passed on to everyone who is also tuned into that frequency, and when we understand there are different frequencies we understand that we have to discern which frequency the thought came from.

  37. I was just having a moment pondering on this exact truth, that we are vehicles of expression. There comes much resistance when trying to embody such truth. We like so much to stay as an individual that thinks they think and resist the surrender back to soul.

  38. I’ve been receiving some pretty wild thoughts lately and yet have played the victim of this incessant in pouring of thoughts. But how have I angled my radio tower/TV antennae/body to receive this constant stream? And if it is constant then what needs to change to change the energy being received?

  39. If we agree or even just consider that our thoughts don’t originate within us as such, but are something we receive according the the vibration we’ve tuned into, it opens up contemplating how we are with our body and in all areas of our life, reflecting on how that might affect the kind of vibration we align with…

  40. No use in trying to train the mind then, rather build the quality of presence in the body and bring the mind in line with the body.

  41. My posture and the way I move is pretty much the defining factor in what type and quality of thoughts I’ll receive. If I’m moving around closed, tight, slouchy, given up, angry, driven, emotional……then I am inviting in a quality of thought that will further intensify and magnify this. If I move will tenderness, Love, understanding, grace, honesty, delicateness, sacredness……. this is the quality I will then be magnifying. It’s simple and logical really.

  42. Reading this blog got me thinking again!….Before I used to think thoughts would just pop up. It is only since meeting Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine have I realised that this is not the case. The quality I live in has an impact on everything in and around me. The more quality I bring, the more quality is in my thoughts and everything I do – and this is a game changer for all.

  43. I love this Adrienne ! What a corker of an explanation of what thinking is! It is something I have really fought – I want my thoughts to be MINE ALL MINE waahaha ! But there isn’t any divine designs about that!

  44. It’s an interesting question to ponder on…where do our thoughts come from? To consider that we are receivers and that we do not generate our own thoughts is quite out there and potentially opposite to what we currently think. But that rises the question…Do we actually think? That’s enough for any scientist to ponder on for a life time!

  45. I love this, it is very humbling in that we cannot own anything, including our thoughts and there is nothing that is original. This may take a while for people to get their head round!

    1. Yes humbling is on the money, surrendering to the fact we are simply a vessel.

    2. Yes we are so identified with what we believe are our thoughts that we are not willing to see it comes through us not from us.

    3. That is true and saves us a huge amount of work trying to protect our ideas with the exception perhaps of where it makes commercial sense to do so.

  46. Realising we don’t own any original thought reveals that there is no ‘I’ as an individual and we all equally receive the energy of the Universe and the collective consciousness that is passing through everyone all the time.

    1. It is actually a beautiful teaching when I feel what is being presented. Gorgeous brotherhood and absolute equality.

  47. The radio tower is a brilliant analogy for our body and our thoughts, I love the idea of every movement changing or tweaking the stream of what we are receiving. How often do we try and address our thoughts by thinking about them – and so we never actually change the station or the stream. But what if instead, we go straight to the radio tower or to our body and change our movements and see if what we receive is different?

    1. Beautiful expansion on the radio tower adjustments! Movement and conversation super important now I see why.

  48. ‘our only job is to care for the tower we embody’ It makes total sense that if our receiver is up to par then we will be able to discern more readily the information at hand and as the quality of our tower or body improves then so does the resonance of higher quality energy.

  49. Once you are ready to open up to the possibility of not thinking our own thoughts, it is a fascinating process to more and more realize that thoughts are given and received, not produced by oneself. The more it is experienced and understood, the more we learn to play our part in the communication, i.e. to tune our radio station.

    1. I agree – it’s a fascinating process because we identify so much with our thoughts, and they are part of what we think makes us who we are, it opens up the possibility of being part of something grander and shows us our thoughts are not “IT” but simply a result of our choices, movements and alignment.

  50. Thank you Adrienne, it’s a huge leap to understand and grasp the fact we don’t own anything, but instead are vessels for all that comes through us. And it’s a great support to be reminded about the care of the body being what determines the quality of what we receive, including how much care we take in how we move our body.

  51. It would be fascinating to have a brain timer or barometer that shows us exactly how long we think of one thing. I love the idea of tuning into thoughts from my experience I tune my body, or I build a certain quality in my body and that gives me the bandwidth for my thoughts. For example when my body feels clear my thoughts feel clear, and when I’m super caring with my body my thoughts are also super caring, or if I am disregarding or harm my body then my thoughts also echo that harm.

  52. The TV or radio example is a great way to understand thoughts. We know that what we see and hear from the TV is not from within us. I always imagine my body to be like an antenna. How aligned and open my body is will determine which channels or frequencies can flow through me. This affects which ‘station’ I can tune into, thus affecting which thoughts I get at that moment.

  53. We are attached to being something we’re not, identified with these false thoughts that come through but what an amazing thing then to stop and drop what we think. Then we can start to get to know who we truly are underneath. As you present Adrienne entertaining these thoughts as us is a big comfort.

  54. “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” – this is a wisdom we cannot remind ourselves often enough. Whenever we seek to change, understand, improve, solve something etc, we should make use of that wise insight into the human ‘thinking’.

  55. As presented by Universal Medicine it is the body who aligns to and receives the energy that then gives us the sort of thoughts we mentally are aware of. Everyone can test that for themselves simply by changing one´s posture and or movements (just changing the way of breathing has an effect) and observing the kind and quality of thoughts that are generated. Key is to bring awareness to the body, get a sense for its presence first so that one has a marker from where the accompanying way of thinking can be identified. This way we learn from and through our body to influence our mind.

    1. It really turns everything on its head (pun intended 🙂 ) that not only do we not think, but that the body is what determines the quality of intelligence we bring through.

  56. If we only think we think and do not really think at all, then who or what exactly is doing the ‘thinking’ on our behalf? That is, to which source of energy are we attuning ourselves to in order to be fed thoughts that say we think when we do not? Truth does not move in this way and when we align whole body and being with what is true, we immediately know that we are simple receivers and transmitters (vehicles of expression) for the source of energy we are aligned to – this being either all that is love OR all that opposes this love. Nothing in-between.

  57. Speaking of “thoughts available to a tower cared for, maintained, tall and not only ready to receive thoughts, but aware of itself as a receiver of thoughts not by default but by design.”, through a recent renewed focus on my body posture and particularly in keeping my spine straight, and my chest and shoulders open, I have noticed just how profoundly this effects my general state of well being. When I have noticed myself slouching and gone to this straighter and more open posture I instantly feel more open, confident, have a better self-image, and it changes the nature of my thoughts to ones that are more positive and aware of what is going on for me and others.

    1. Such discoveries Michael have the potential for revolutionising psychology and the mental health care sector.

  58. There have been many times when a family member or friend and myself have had the exact same thought at the exact same time and even began saying what it was simultaneously. What Adrienne describes here as us being receptors of thoughts seems like the only logical reason or basis for something like that happening with such regularity that it does for many people. It also explains how many people at work, including myself may have the feeling that it is actually a different day in the week or time of day than it really was at that particular time, or that the day seems to be going slower or faster.

  59. If our current form of thinking has not realised that war causes so much harm and damage and does not truly solve anything and continues to choose war not just once more but for many thousands of years more, then it shows we have to be open to a different form of thinking from a different source.

  60. When we take ownership of an idea or thought are we looking for something more? Do we want the identity or recognition when sharing the idea or sharing the idea to be liked? Allowing ourselves the opportunity to feel our bodies and move from our natural rhythm we then open up to a great depth of learning but also an ease as we are not looking for an outcome and life can keep unfolding as it needs to and we can see the world in a completely new way.

  61. When we think that we think, it is already a proof that we do not think but that thoughts are fed to us. We do not think, but connect to a volume of thoughts that are available to us. And when we connect to a volume of thoughts that does not want us to see the truth of life, then we will think that we think, otherwise we would get thoughts from the ageless Wisdom the universe is. In short the quality of our thoughts is actually a matter of choice.

  62. I always was a little confused about my thoughts. I have had periods in my life where I championed my thinking mind because of all the wonderful ideas I came up with. But now in looking back, they were not that wonderful or smart at all, as none of these thoughts have ever served me or or others, but showed just the waywardness of my thinking. In allowing these thoughts I, kept myself busy in my mind leaving my body in anxiousness and actually not making any advancement, but just going around in circles over and over again.

  63. Thinking that we think suits those who do not want to take any responsibility for the way they live. As soon as the truth of the fact that we do not think, but receive thoughts based on the quality of our choices lived, then it naturally asks us to be more responsible for all we choose, not necessarily by choice of action but by choice of quality of movement

    1. Sure Joshua, the concept that we are the originators of our thinking is championed by many and by doing so no responsibility is taken for their own lives and the societies they live in. Instead they are trapped in their thinking mind, actually going nowhere while they think they are advancing and are moving forward.

  64. We see a similar thing happening for example in the industrial area where a multitude of technical inventions was made, often several people at different locations in the world ‘coming up’ with the same idea and working on similar projects without knowing each other, until some publication or communication by letters were happening.

    1. Simply because everything we create comes from the source that created us. For example: we have the internet because as souls we know how to instantly connect with each other across the globe, we have great means of transportation because as spirits and souls we can travel where we need to go etc. Everything in our physical plane is a direct copy of the divine, we simply tune in and deliver this into our 3rd dimensional physical reality because ever since we drifted from God, we got caught up ‘playing God’ (constantly creating in physical form that which already exists in formlessness) and deep down we all miss the Oneness we are from.

  65. Love this article, what we tune into is what we will express outward, it is very simple when you see it like this. We are energetic beings and if the output is disharmonious we know we need a tune up.

  66. I love the concept that we tune into different frequencies. It makes sense. We know we tend to have different thoughts depending on where we are at emotionally, and we know that we get taken down a garden path at times by thoughts that really don’t serve us. So, really, it feels very possible indeed that our thoughts are not ours, but something we have somehow taken on.

    1. I agree Elodie we have all had different experiences in life that has brought us to where we are today and these unique experiences lead to us all having differing sensitivities and awareness’s about the world around us.

  67. ‘Thinking about thinking’ – whoa, that is a sure way of catapulting down into the labyrinth, or into the dark wood of obscurity and illusion.

  68. The quality of the tower can determine the quality of what the tower receives. Makes total sense.

    1. Sure Sara, it is the quality of movement we move our bodies with that determines the quality of our thoughts and when we are in true movement, we will never think that we think again, as that thought belongs not to that package.

  69. I love the analogy you are presenting here with the tower Adrienne is brilliant! It makes it simple and accessible for everyone, even someone who reads about energy for the first time. I love it – simple, bridging, absolute. Lets tune our tower to the right song 🙂

  70. When two people discover or invent exactly the same independently from each other it proofs for me that we are all connected to the same source. There is nothing new, just people accessing what is there on offer. Although I would distinguish between a source that supports us as mankind and a source that helps us to indulge and ingrain further behaviours. To which one you align is your choice.

  71. This makes sense when at times we can get thoughts that seem totally out of the blue and unrelated to anything we have experienced in our own lives, so it does leave me questioning the origins of the thoughts originally and how these thoughts are generated over and over again. It feels like there is so much more we do not understand about energy and how it is circulated, and how we receive it.

  72. Given our current form of intelligence has not resolved the poverty, the high illness and disease, the violence and bloodshed, the ongoing corruption in corporations and industries, the general discontentment with life etc. perhaps it is for us to reconsider what true intelligence is, and how to connect to it. The question is, are we humble enough to admit that we currently do not have all the answers and that our current method of trying to find the answers has not worked and never has worked, therefore an entirely new approach is needed?

  73. It just makes sense, the whole article and yet we can have or live a life and never discuss these facts. We take things like radio, TV, electricity etc for granted and don’t apply how they work to everything. We can say they work on different wave lengths and then we can even go to colour and how it’s also not truly physical but again different frequencies of energy and then we turn to ourselves and think, physical. We are out of tune with what is all around us and as the article so brilliantly spells out, tune in and it’s all there, tune out and you are left trying to understand what’s going on and you are on a different channel.

  74. All this writing makes sense to me, as there have been times when I have had a thought and wondered where it came from, as it was something I had absolutely no connection with. Being a receiver of the energy of thought makes sense to me.

  75. Letting go of the ownership of ideas and or thoughts allows us to expand our understanding of energetic responsibility and how our bodies move, which makes life much more simple and we can see just how fundamental it is to listen to how our bodies feel to move and move accordingly. The expansion and learning that is on offer from our movements is truly incredible, when we let go of thinking and allow our bodies to move from their own rhythm.

  76. Fantastic analogy Adrienne and truly reflects where our responsibility lies. We can affect the quality of our thoughts by the way we care for our vehicle (body) and accepting that if we are an open channel we will be given the answers takes a lot of pressure off to figure things out whilst puncturing our beliefs that we have original thoughts despite so much evidence to the contrary.

  77. To consider and to actually accept that we are not the creators of own thoughts but a vehicle to express thoughts and ideas given to us is revolutionary and very challenging to believe. However, to be able to completely surrender to this is knowing is incredibly liberating. It is not as a giving up of responsibility to become a mere slave to something but actually it requires more responsibility to ensure that one is choosing to align to the source of thoughts and ideas that are loving and enhancing rather than those that result in harm and suffering for oneself and others.

  78. This is a powerful blog Adrienne, to consider we don’t think and our thoughts are not ours is a game changer, this brings a responsibility and care with all our movements and the quality in how we live, as it will always determine the quality of our thoughts.

  79. “But what if the other part to Einstein’s understanding is that we don’t actually create our level of thinking, we receive it, that is: we only think we think.” – This is a hard pill for many of us to swallow and certainly has presented its challenges to me! There are still aspects of this that I am learning to come to terms with and accepting deeper and deeper all that is on offer with this simple understanding that we only think we think!

  80. I love this Adrienne, a massive subject that our individual selves continually avoid so to avoid the truth that we are not individual at all.

  81. Kids really are a great example of what has been shared here. They can be so easily attuned to the frequency of love, so when they express from the joy they are, it can totally melt anyone as it is something that is universally known.

  82. As human beings the greatest challenge is to understand that we don’t think and that our thoughts are not from us but are fed to us, and here lies the responsibility of what is it that we align to which feeds the type of thoughts we get and express from?

  83. Yes we do think we think, of course we do, why would we not think that!! The irony being in that statement, that we do think we are the master and commander of our life, our thoughts in particular, becuase they are inside of us, we think that nothing can impose on that. But the is ‘thinking’ from a perspective of not making life about energy, when we do not factor this into the equation, then of course humanity will continue to think the think!!

  84. Our fascination with the word creation is such that naturally we think that we create ideas, thoughts etc. They come from us, from inside us. We live in a physical form where each of us can observe that where your body ends and where another person’s body starts. This confirms that ideas and thoughts must come from us. Yet, when you become aware that physical separation is just a layer of reality and that there is another layer underneath it where anyone can feel the fact that there is no separation between us because we are energy, the certainties that you can hold regarding us start to fade away.
Things do not truly work the way we think they do. If we are energy we vibrate at a specific speed. Our vibration reflects a specific quality. What is this quality/speed has something to do with the kind of thoughts we can access? What if what we call mainstream thoughts are simply the reflection of the majority vibrating at a certain pace/quality? What if you can increase the quality of the vibration and that opens the door to different kind of thoughts? What if the vibration is the passport, so to speak, to the kind of thoughts you can connect to? What if we use our love for creation to limit the quality of our vibration?

  85. Just like tuning into different radio station we tune into a specific vibration which feeds our thoughts, so the question is, what vibration are we being obedient to?

  86. When looking in to our thoughts and the creators of them, perhaps we need also to question what exactly do we understand intelligence to be?

  87. “It is like we are all radio towers designed to tune into and receive outer frequencies and waves, but the thinking we’ve been tuned into for the past few thousand years has us believing (as an unquestionable fact) that we are the originators and individual owners of all our thoughts and ideas.” Thus there is no such thing as an original thought. Hence maybe copyright and patents will one day be a thing of the past, when everyone understands that we are merely vehicles of expression. We thus cant take credit for the thought, but as you say need to take deep care of the vehicle – our body – that expresses it. So which energy are we choosing to allow to express through us?

  88. It makes sense to me that we tune into a pool of thoughts or consciousness and from there the kind of thoughts that we have flow. This highlights for me the importance of our whole body as our antenna or receiver – that it’s not just something that we think ourselves into but the vibration we connect with from our whole body first.

  89. A great analogy Adrienne; what struck me this morning was that we are responsible for the quality of our bodies/tower; thus we can discern the quality of the energy we let in.

    1. Absolutely Shirley, we then see everything we are and move with is our own choice and responsibility.

  90. One day the world will know the fact that we receive information and don’t create it, you are ahead of your time, as is the work of Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon. This is a great article, as it gives a very tangible and relatable every day experience of how this is true.

  91. I do notice that the more that I care for my body, the more loving my thoughts are. However, when I disregard myself and don’t appreciate myself then my thoughts are of the same quality. It requires a different movement in me to shift this.

  92. What I continue to learn from Serge Benhayon, and be inspired by every single day, is just what ‘true intelligence’ is – and how powerful is the wisdom that comes not from the regurgitation of others’ thoughts, but from a direct access to the Universal Mind, the wisdom of God, ever ready to express through us, if we have chosen to live in a way that would allow it so.

  93. “The idea of being a mere receptor, not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence…”
This says a lot about the scale of arrogance that has dominated the landscape of what ‘intelligence’ is and has been deemed to be.
Enter the game-changer, Serge Benhayon, who has brought back the ancient and ageless truth, that the quality of our thoughts can only arise from the way in which we live – we can be vehicles of the divine, or vehicles of that which would hold us separate from our innate godliness, e.g. the arrogance that would say that “I know and/or am smarter than you are.”

  94. What springs to mind is those times where something is blurted out of my mind and it is not something I believe in, or it hasn’t been said in the way I would like it to be received. In these moments I would say I have tuned my antenna to a dodgy station and am giving a very poor representation of myself as a consequence. By contrast I might sometimes express an opinion and the lucidity of what I speak surprises myself, on this occasion I have tuned into the premium channel. Either way it definitely feels like a source I tap into, rather than a thought I own.

  95. It’s funny because there are many phrases we use that actually shows that we do know that we receive thoughts and information and are not the originator of thoughts, for example, “where did that thought go?” and “wait a minute that thought will come back to me”. Also, we can all relate to spending hours on the couch watching TV completely checking out from the body and then get up off the lounge and the thoughts that are there are about eating food you usually wouldn’t eat or thoughts like “let’s not do anything we need to do and sit back on the lounge again”.

  96. Thank you Adrienne, I love the quality of the thoughts that you allowed through your receiver to write this awesome and inspiring blog that supports us to all feel and understand that we can access the wisdom of the ages instantly by how we nurture, care for and hold our bodies.

  97. As far as I don’t want to own my thoughts, I feel lighter and have the feeling of learning more quickly. When there is a thought that doesn’t feel good in my body, I simply let it go without identifying with it, just understanding why it came to me and tuning to a more loving source. Again, then when something beautiful comes through me, I don’t own it, but I simply enjoy being part of that by allowing it. This takes me to a place where responsibility and freedom go hand with hand.

  98. I love that we are not the originators of our thoughts. It means we don’t have to be at all concerned with whether they are clever, innovative, dark, brooding ….etc. We simply have to ensure the quality of them by tuning in to the wavelength that will ensure they come from Love and take care of our transmitter – our body.

  99. “The idea of being a mere receptor, not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence, rudely suggesting that we are not special, nor different, nor brilliant, but somehow passive, mute and dumb.” Great point Adrienne, this is the arrogance we live with on a daily basis, that we are the creator of our thoughts and that everything we have created is owned by us when we are receptors of energy and the energy we choose will give us our thoughts.

  100. The quality of the ‘output’ of our own ‘tower’ is determined by how well we care for ourselves and just like a radio, we can go on producing output even if the radio is battered and broken, but this eventually affects the quality of the sound and its ability to tune it to the channel it wants to be tuned in to.

  101. By continuing to support and honour our bodies we will continue to expand the quality of thoughts we have. I love how you have used the analogy of the radio tower to present to us a very powerful lesson, thank you Adrienne.

  102. I love that our movements are like a radio station. I’m doing a Connective Tissue exercise course at the moment, in which the presenter offers certain movements for us to feel how when we hold our body in a certain way we allow certain thoughts/energy to flow through us. It’s given me great appreciation of the power of movement.

  103. The self hates the fact that it doesn’t think, whereas the soul expands at the truth that we are all, all knowing.

  104. If we are indeed receivers of thoughts then what we tune into would be determined by what we are open to being aware of and receiving ie the quality of our antenna.

  105. It’s very interesting to ponder on the fact that my thoughts are not my own and the quality of those thoughts depend entirely how I am with my body and how I move my body. Psychology and Medicine 101.

  106. This is a beautiful exploration of responsibility through our movements. How our every movement can either connect to our bodies and move in a way that picks up quality, clear frequencies or disconnect from our bodies movements and find channels filled with static. The simplicity of choice is a magical thing.

  107. I never quite understood how our brain would ‘make’ thoughts, the fact of that we are tuning into thoughts and have them come through us makes much more sense.

  108. Understanding our mind as a receiver rather than a creator of thoughts makes sense to me and begs the question what channel are we choosing to tune into?!

  109. This is a great analogy Adrienne that clearly explains how we receive information and that the way we move is what will attune us to receiving either all that is love or, all that is not. It really is that simple. The complexity is brought in when we try to own our thoughts and thus identify with them so as to delineate ourselves from the background. That is – we try to carve an identity for ourselves that has very little to do with the truth of who we are.

  110. In general conversation with friends I have asked where do our thoughts come from? Given that sometimes they are quite bizarre and out of any kind of context. I find it interesting that we can latch on to these thoughts, which go as fast as they come if we don’t latch onto them. It actually makes sense that they do not come from us and we are receivers of them, especially when you consider that the same idea can occur in different people at a similar time, not connected. I am understanding more that the more I care for my body and am aware of my body the more I develop conscious presence, where my mind is with my body no matter what I am doing. This way I can much more easily recognise the thoughts that do not belong.

  111. ‘Once we take up a thought and express it in word or deed, its effects can clearly be seen and felt as they play out in ways that leave us or another feeling less, or deepens the responsibility and care we bring to ourselves and others.’ How beautiful it is to know we have this choice to tune into a vibration that supports us all to evolve.

  112. Taking this fact of being receivers instead of originators aboard brings us to an whole other level of understanding life and our place in it. Being descerning of the thoughts we choose brings us a way to live in harmony, when we choose responsibly.

  113. This seems very possible to me.
“When we watch a movie, images and sounds come to us and it is interesting to ponder that this could be true on a wider scale that allows for the possibility that, like TV or radio waves, thoughts come ‘to’ us, not ‘from’ us, as we like to think.”
The treadmill of life that we have currently adopted does not allow us time to ponder how we are actually living and we are just so busy getting on with life and caught up with time management we seem to follow each other like sheep and have accepted a way of thinking to be true, when actually it is not true and it is not us thinking at all. Like you Adrienne, I wonder, is it possible that we are hooked into live streaming from a consciousness that doesn’t want us to know that there is a different way to be and it is not thinking but an impulse or knowing. And I have to say I would not be writing from such an understanding if it wasn’t for the teachings and presentations of Serge Benhayon as it was he that woke me and many others up from the deep sleep we are all in.

  114. This topic could be quite far out for many to think about, but reading through your blog and the practical examples of it happening around us (i.e. scientists/chefs discovering something at the same time plus friends thinking of each other and then connecting at the same time), make it more common than we think. Good food for thought.

  115. What a lovely way of showing what our responsibility is to ourselves and each other.

  116. Wow, considering the fact that our thoughts come to us sure takes the pressure off because it means we don’t have to come up with things, we don’t have to be smart! We can just care and love.

  117. It is worth thinking about – thanks Adrienne. I notice that when I let things slip like how I care for myself then the quality of my thoughts also change. I often lose the appreciation and my focus because on the issues instead of what is there to be appreciated and enjoyed.

  118. This is one of the best articles I’ve read in ages, I really get it. It’s funny how we don’t question the TV, the radio or any of the electrical devices in our home, we just take them for granted. but how does the waves or electricity travel to you? You can’t see it and some may find it hard to explain but it’s just there, right. It makes so much sense for us as well or do we think we just stand there on our own and our thoughts come from us? Cut in input from the TV or radio and they are just mute, don’t allow electricity into your home and nothing will work and yet we think we are these individual items that think and power themselves. There are so many parts to this great article and for me the immutable fact is that we receive energy and the only way to ensure the quality of energy entering you supports us all is to take care of the receiver, take a deep and ongoing care of the receiver and in that every move you make is important.

  119. This really changes where our true responsibility lies – it is no longer about what we can come up with, how clever we are, but it is about taking care of the tower to make sure what we receive and transmute is of a quality that we would like.

  120. Ha! Awesome Adrienne thank you. This reminds me of the ‘hundredth monkey effect’ so called, where scientists observing groups of monkeys in different parts of the world found that when one group started washing their potatoes in a certain way, then others in different parts of the world did so too. By the way, they didn’t email or text each other to share their wisdom! I for one have no doubt we are more connected than we have realised to date and look forward to the evolution of this awareness and the possibility of what it can mean of humanity.

    1. Yes, yes Richard, and as we know it happens from feeling. I would love to share something that has happened over the last two days. I am writing about Shakespeare’s The Tempest and was pondering the final Epilogue and how the whole feeling of the play changes there. It is a strong sense that Prospero (the magician who has renounced his ‘rough magic’) is regathering and readjusting himself after the renunciation, and this will lead to his Return (to where he came from i.e. Milan, but meaning divine return). It was a moment I could feel deeply being communicated in the play. But I had never heard this moment of adjustment described and was wondering with a friend about it. Then this morning, flipping through Serge Benhayon’s new book, ‘Time, Space and all of us – Space’, I found exactly that moment described (p.33). The connection that is there is magnificent and I want to express my appreciation to God for standing by me!

    2. Could it be that when we reach a ‘critical mass’ of human beings who are choosing the love in their hearts, then there will be this ‘hundredth human effect’ across the planet? Worth exploring isn’t it.

  121. I love the analogy of our bodies being radio towers and that we might receive the same signal but how our tower is – and what we do with that signal – is free will.

  122. Gorgeous Adrienne, as even though it might sound confusion -it is only so because we have fallen for the belief and illusion that we think. It is as simply as that. Knowing that once we feel instead of think that we are the creators of everything, we can surrender more to what we are, in absolute grace and value – not the creators but part of a whole – a co-creation. Yes, we have to take off our sleeves with protection and pretending and find ourselves as real as we are, naked as naked – finding no beliefs but a true depth of universal alignment we come from. There is no creation ever needed, as we simply are.

  123. It’s an awesome moment when you go to tell someone something and they ask about that exact thing, obvious connection to the universe! Awesome

  124. It is a hugely significant understanding that there are just two sets of energies which we all tap into and that is what defines the type of thoughts we receive. It then makes absolute sense that: “our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.” In fact anything less than this becomes simply irresponsible.

  125. Great blog Adrienne, thank you. It is so true that our only job is to be responsible and committed to honouring and looking after our ‘tower’ thus allowing our soul to shine;
“our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling.. warm, wise, responsible, honouring, appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty”

  126. That there is no original thought and that we are merely transmitters or vessels of energy is a humbling truth indeed. To consider that many peg their success in life on being the centre of attention, being recognised and identified with word, deed and result around the clock, exposes the way in which we are intent to run things, at odds with the truth of what is really energetically taking place in any given moment.

  127. Growing up I didn’t value my innate qualities so sought recognition through coming up with the next best idea – an original thought, painting, solution etc. that would communicate I was better than others, or would validate my value. So I did not like being presented with the possibility that thoughts do not originate from us but that we are feed them – where is the individualisation in this that I once searched for? Now I’m recognising my essence and appreciating it I’m able to observe thoughts as operate through me. This may be a random thought that pops in – usually undermining in some facet, or a grander awareness as I surrender into being present in my body and the world. I’m letting go of owning knowledge and opening up to discerning quality of thoughts and aligning to what is harmonious.

  128. When I consider that I am one of many towers receiving information all the time, it makes absolute sense that our thoughts are not our thoughts. But, for the most part, I still idenitify with having an ‘original idea’, as most of us do. It’s interesting just how stubborn we choose to be at times and also how much we overlook the fact that we’re all equal anyway, and so we never actually need to compete with one another.

  129. Thanks, Adrienne, the way you have laid out this subject is brilliant, you have taken care of your ‘radio tower’ that’s for sure. When we are the receivers of our thinking and have a choice to what we want to receive, it brings in a responsibility for the quality we can deliver. And this makes us not the helpless thinkers at the mercy of our thoughts.

  130. Adrienne, what you have presented may challenge many people but I think it is very cool that we are not the creator of our thoughts. It also means that any fame, recognition or competitiveness is all false and causes separation and unloving behaviors. So if we embrace this possibility that we are vessels of energy and all our thoughts are fed to us, then this changes everything. Well, turns everything as we know upside down or more accurately right way up.

  131. It is so very cool to note that we receive energy and that the quality of energy we receive is determined by our movements. It also makes me ponder on how we move in any moment and if it is one of ease and purpose or anger or frustration. How does that then ripple affect our lives and that of others? It really shows just how important responsibility is and how every movement can really change the way we live.

  132. Great tune Adrienne and one well worth tuning into – the frequency of which is entirely our call

  133. ‘We only think we think.’ There are many who would find this too challenging because they have invested their whole life into thinking. To start to question where our thoughts come from is an absolute game changer that empowers us to choose the quality of energy we are aligning too.

    1. Very true – it is challenging to be able to put our ‘self’ aside and realise that we are not the originator we believe that we are, however well worth doing so for the abundance of true intelligence, understanding and wisdom that awaits.

    2. Anna, your comment reminded me of when I used to wonder where my thoughts came from because sometimes they seemed to come out of nowhere. Now, it makes so much sense to me what you and this blog are sharing; also when I first heard Serge Benhayon present this a few years ago it absolutely made so much sense to me. I find this understand empowering, knowing that I too have equal access to the Ageless Wisdom and universal intelligence, as has everyone else. The only difference is the consistency of my choice of energy.

  134. When truly considering the possibility offered that we are not originators but receivers of thoughts we immediately recognise that we need to take ‘self’ out of the way otherwise we cannot but think that We think as self wants to own what makes it individual. The moment we are inclusive and embracing of everyone self steps aside and the kind of thoughts we then ‘think’ (receive) no longer seek individuality.

  135. Erroneously in our human society we take great pride in our thinking and our academic ability, it is highly prized. What you have expressed in this blog Adrienne really challenges this ‘thinking’ and shows us another way to view the purpose of life and what is valued.

  136. It an be challenging to think that we are like radio towers receivers and transmitters and that or thoughts are not actually our own thoughts. But it makes sense because some of the crazy thoughts that i can and have had make absolutely no sense so they have had to come from somewhere.

  137. Thank you Adrienne for a great blog, so simple and clear. It gives me a better understanding about thinking, really separating the me from thinking I am thinking, but realising I have a choice of which energy my tower receives.

  138. We are walking ‘radio transistors.’ Independent of the frequency we are in, we tune in to what is out there. Yet, depending on the frequency we are, we get what we get. If we are on the same frequency, we get the same. If we are not we do not.

  139. Great questions Adrienne – I grew up believing that every thought I had was true and that I was right even when I allowed my thoughts to take on a life of their own and build into stories around situations or people. The quality of this creation was not true and were fed to me by an energy that was separative and isolated me from what I felt was true – a deepening connection to others and a re-connecting to who I truly was. The quality of what comes to us can be felt when we pause and check-in with our breath – so simple, so loving and so honest.

  140. What you’ve written has made me realise, once again, what a grand responsibility I/we have in this life.

  141. This is an awesome and original blog – was it your idea? 😉 It’s a great example that makes it easy to understand the act of thinking – I’ve wrestled with it to some degree but your writing has really helped me to picture it and understand how it all works.

    1. I agree Nick it is very challenging to think we do not think. It takes away individuality and brings the focus to the fore on our responsibility that the way we move and live has a direct affect on what energy we are transmitting.

  142. Thank you Adrienne. You have clearly shared something that I and many others have wondered about. Do we think or are we the receivers of information? Clearly we are receivers that pick up the waves we can all access and depending on the quality, to what use we put the information we receive.

  143. As a child I always used to sit and wonder when watching movies or tv whether the person next to me was seeing exactly the same thing. I had this feeling that we all experience life differently and wondered if when they watched tv what they saw and felt- was it the same as me or did they see the show in another way.
I guess I was picking up on how our life experiences influence how we see the world and what we choose to focus on.

  144. Indeed our job here on earth is to deeply care for, nurture and take responsibility for our ‘towers’ so that we choose an energy that is; “warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty”.
A gorgeous blog Adrienne, thank you.

  145. Adrienne, what a brilliant blog; Our every breath is the frequency changer, for our breath creates a movement that determines the channel. Surrender and breathe the breath of God and the radio is tuned into heaven.

  146. I have noticed that how I move my tower (body) it does affect how I think. If I am slumped in my seat my thoughts are heavier, if I intentionally move in a way that is not loving my thoughts seek distraction. If I open my heart my thoughts are warmer and more wanting to connect to people and care for myself.

  147. If we understand that we are the sum total of the choice of energy we align to, this knocks out comparison, competition and we see that the choice then becomes very simple. This energy or that?

  148. “The thinking we’ve been tuned into for the past few thousand years has us believing (as an unquestionable fact) that we are the originators and individual owners of all our thoughts and ideas” – wow. This is brilliant. Really turns everything upside down, inside out, and exposes this evil self-feeding trap we have got ourselves drenched in. And there is a thinking that lets us know that we do not originate or own our thoughts or ideas. Either way, the fact that we are just a vehicle, a transmitter, doesn’t change. I know which one of the thinking I prefer to have me running.

  149. When humankind grasps the truth that there are no original thoughts ‘out there’, the individual will cease to be and in its place will be the One who moves not for self but in tune with the great All that we are a part of.

  150. Attachments, recognition and ownership all play a role is us wanting to be the one who came up with something. To ponder the notion that perhaps we didn’t, means getting a huge amount of our selves out of the way – not always an easy task.

  151. I love the analogy of a phone or device receiving data and then outputting it – this makes complete sense and allows me to easily see how as humans we are set up the same way – as receivers of energy which then fuels our thoughts and actions. Imagine if this were taught in schools? Well I have an opportunity to teach this to my daughter, as she grows up in a world where we still think we think.

  152. If we are receivers of energy from which we have thoughts then we have to choose which source of energy we are tuned into and we have to move our ‘radio tower’ or body in such a way that it receives a clear message.

  153. “The idea of being a mere receptor, not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence, rudely suggesting that we are not special, nor different, nor brilliant, but somehow passive, mute and dumb.” So true Adrienne our pride gets in the way of thinking that we don’t think, we would have to question life a lot more deeply and this would rock our comfortable existence. Universities and Scientists and those that rely on what they perceive to be their own thoughts would have to re-evaluate everything. I look forward to the day when this will happen, we may not be ready yet but one day this will be accepted by humanity.

  154. I love the way you have received and related this to us Adrienne . . . an absolute joy to read. You have laid out in simple terms that we only think we think when we are actually receivers of thought. . . . showing us that it is a clear choice, not only of what tower we are setting our self up to receive from but also what level of intelligence /awareness we are prepared to tune into depending on the level of care we are willing to give the tower we embody so it is clear enough to tune into and express thoughts from deeper levels of intelligence.

  155. It was interesting to observe the thoughts I had while reading this and feel the quality of those thoughts and reflect on how I had been living leading up to that. I find that when I take care of myself and give myself the space I need to do things then I am very open and understanding of others. However, when I am run down, tired and haven’t been looking after myself then I am less open to others.

  156. Fantastic metaphor – it really illustrates the responsibility we have to tune into a frequency that will express the truth of who we are. We are also responsible for keeping our vehicle of expression, our radio tower, in clear working order to receive the highest quality of energy through.

  157. This is truly profound Adrienne and is certainly worth thinking about – we only think we think, and that we are receivers of thoughts not the originators of thoughts. Living with this level of responsibility allows the space for my thoughts to have a certain quality that are more loving and true and then it is easy to feel when our thoughts are not in line with love and then we simply can make a different choice.

  158. Just recently I had this same experience… a different approach to roasting lamb and then finding a friend has just tried it that way. It’s subtle and amazing how this works, and if you are open to it, also very obvious.

    1. It is a beautiful confirmation of how connection truly works. The moment you want to own, what can come through you, you step of the flow of communication for and in the All. It is a beautiful deepening process to honour my movements that led to it instead of celebrating me, as I did it, and rest by the result.

  159. It is one of mankind’s greatest follies that we think that we are the beginning and end of thought. We are so far beyond what we can think of, which itself shows us that we do not create the thoughts we think!

  160. A great sharing Adrienne, thank you, so simple to understand that we are receivers of energy and the type of energy gives us the type of thoughts that we have. So the condition of the receiver determine what type of thoughts, therein lies our responsibility for the up keep of the receiver in choosing the quality of thoughts that come through us.

  161. I was chatting to a friend the other day and she remarked on how my body posture changed as I talked about different things. She said I would literally light up when mentioning certain situations and people. I know this to be true but it was great to have that reminder so that if I forget what is supporting me and contributing to life I just have to feel how I am expressing in my body.

  162. I love to call it the Roger Bannister effect. Prior to him breaking the 4 minute mile, everyone thought it was impossible. Then he did it, and in a matter of a couple of years ,everybody was doing it. Quite often this happens. A surfing pro performs a new trick, and suddenly every 13 year old kid in the next generation is doing it. What is worth considering is that what this alludes to is that thoughts originate from a pool of consciousness or ideas, that once earthed, become actually accessible for everyone.

  163. This is truly brilliant Adrienne – worthy of printing and posting everywhere! Truly simple in its loving reminder if the thoughts are heavy and harsh then my quality of receiving is on the blink. It may only require a moment to feel my body and breath to tune into the higher frequency that connects with joy and lightness.

  164. Such a timely re-read today as I could feel my old patterns of thinking trying to sneak in, and in the process starting to build a web of complication. Time to return to the innocence and wisdom of childhood when our connection to all that was available from our “towers” was so strong and clear, but unfortunately often put down by others, eventually influencing us to turn down, or sometimes turn off completely, from our ever available divine connection.

  165. I agree in full when you think about it, it only makes sense that we do not think but rather receive so it goes without saying . . .
‘our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling . . . warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty” . . . in short we all deep down want to be ourselves in full and to be that we must be tuned into Divinity – the only true intelligence.

  166. This is a great blog Adrienne, it asks many questions for us to ponder on and I have found that we do receive the same impulse, or message and we all express it in a different way. I love it when I start talking to someone who is on the same wave length, because as you talk the whole thing expands.

  167. I loved your comment Adrienne – ‘But what if the other part to Einstein’s understanding is that we don’t actually create our level of thinking, we receive it, that is: we only think we think’. I love the personal responsibility this offers Adrienne. If like the tower we are aware of our connections and what is coming in and we consistently maintain, check in, renew and identify what isn’t working, we improve the quality making it clear, unimposing and easy to hear.

  168. This blog is great for it invites the reader to consider that our thoughts may not be our own or under the ownership that we often feel or claim them to be. I have always wondered how when something has been done, spoken, claimed that others can then do the same like it is then available to all. Like breaking a world record, in science, sport or consciousness.

  169. With your description of watching a movie and how we receive images and pictures as a kid I used to wonder if we received the same images and pictures or if we saw them differently from the person sitting next to us. When I ponder this in life, I might be sitting next to someone on a park bench watching something unfold in front of us and how we see this could be very different based on our own interpretations and life events to that point- I find it very interesting that we can look at the same thing but see it so differently.

  170. Some great questions to consider. It is wise to reflect on what energy we are receiving and transmitting for our expression is ceaseless activity 24/7

  171. I’ve always struggled with the fact that, ‘we only think we think.’ But why this struggle? Is this because I’m so attached to being different, to spending years trying to shine as an individual and get recognition of some sort? That actually what’s I’m missing is me. I, as we all have, have an essence that is divine that I am not appreciating. It is more than any clever idea I may be fed. I do not have to try to be anything more but accept who I am and let go of being separate; appreciate the natural gift we all share of being able to choose what we tune into. It can either be self-depreciating or it can be the flow that guides the planets and the stars, the flow that connects us all with God.

  172. The fact that how we live allows us to tune into a specific frequency and another is a beautiful reminder that the quality of our thoughts only reflect back to us where we are and what frequency we are tuning in.

  173. Total game changer! If we see our thoughts as not our own, then what is us? Well I like what you have shared that it is about a quality that we hold in our body. We think (wink wink) that our brain gives life to our body when in fact it is the whole body as one and the mind that thinks.

  174. This is amazing Adrienne. I have read this blog before but today was the first time I have felt able to understand what you are presenting (my radio tower must have been tuned up).

  175. ‘Children are great examples of tuning into and receiving thoughts and ideas and so often from the mouths of babes, wisdom beyond their age and experience flows’. Absolutely Adrienne. This is a phenomenon that the world has long acknowledged but probably never ‘explained’. This whole ‘tower’ explanation makes perfect sense – anyone no matter what age can align to universal intelligence and wisdom.

  176. “our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling.” Taking care of our bodies i.e towers also from the way we move can have an affect on how we in turn receive information and how we express, which has an impact on the quality and wisdom we share.

  177. It is so freeing and liberating to know that we are vessels designed to discern what energy and thoughts we align to. Freeing because it is always our choice, what a game changer for humanity if we begin to choose truth and love. Thank you Adrienne for an inspirational thought provoking blog.

  178. What you describe here Adrienne is so beautiful and so simple. If only we would fully realise and observe that what is required is an alignment to love, then things would be a lot simpler and complexity would be out the door.

  179. It is so very easy to identify with our thoughts or get upset when someone criticise what we think and express. But it is so liberating to realise that we are but vessels, and if we align to the stream of love then if anyone doesn’t agree or criticise we don’t take it personally. How can we, because the thoughts were already there, we just picked upon them with our receiver.

  180. I love this blog Adrienne – so clear and simple and ground-breaking. I have been pondering more deeply lately on the fact that there is a one unified truth and yet it can bear being re-expressed (in a true way) many many times because each time someone different expresses it it will carry the uniqueness of that person which in turn will relate to a different sphere of people. Many times we understand something deeply expressed from one person but not so from another who will also express to others who really get them! This relates to what you say Adrienne: ‘Far from it, as the recipe experience shows – we may pick up the same frequency as another ‘tower’ but the way we receive and then act on the information picked up is dependant on our individual makeup and the quality of our tower (each radio tower stands in its own place and comes with its own background and level of maintenance and care), and this flavours our expression of the information tuned into.’

  181. This has enormous repercussions for us as a humanity Adrienne, for our ideas, thoughts and inspirations to be ‘coming to us’ and not from us. This explains why it is we can have an idea at the same time as another. It also explains why we can find ourselves thinking ‘negatively’ about ourselves in one moment, and ‘lovingly’ in another. Asking ourselves what it is that determines the nature of our thoughts seems a far more helpful self-enquiry.

  182. This convergence of ideas makes sense – the only pill to swallow is the fact that 1) our mind is not the end all and be all and that 2) we are not to live as these fierce and toughened individuals in a dog eat dog kind of self-created world.

  183. You’re right Adrienne, this is a game changer to consider, that we don’t actually think, but receive energy that gives the thought. The ownership of an idea has the tendency to create the ‘better than’ attitude because one thinks they were the first to think up something, but, really we all equally have the same capacity to receive the same or similar idea as it is there available for another to receive that same idea too.

  184. A powerful blog Adrienne offering the reader much to consider about the quality of thoughts we are choosing – what an absolute game changer if humanity understand this and begin to live this truth.

  185. What you have written here Adrienne is very beautiful, powerful and divine; I love reading, rereading and appreciating what you have expressed;
“our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty”.

  186. Whilst a very different concept than what we are used to, it does make sense given how often we’ve all experienced seeing what we thought were our ideas, somewhere else along the way. The example of scientists across the globe discovering things at the same time is pretty interesting!

  187. I love the contemplative element this article evokes… whilst exposing the responsibility we possess should we choose to see ourselves and live as radio towers as express what we tap into. With the incessant negative thoughts that many live with, it is interesting to consider the possibility that you can control them just by looking after and maintaining the quality of your tower.

  188. Letting go of the need to create our life based on our own will and imagination is incredibly liberating. While it is something that I am still working on, surrendering to the fact that there is far far more going on in life than what my mind can even conceive of is actually very empowering.

  189. It is really worth pondering rather than thinking about the fact that our thoughts are an energy that we allow through us rather than something original or coming from us. This really turns everything on its head.

  190. “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them” – I so had to read this! So often I try to let go of certain thoughts and they keep returning. It makes perfect sense when we really see ourselves as a vehicle of energy and everything is passing through us and which one to precipitate depends on how we have been moving prior.

  191. How we choose to take care of ourselves affects not only our bodies but our thoughts. This is huge as that means it affects all our choices and even how we take care of ourselves. It seems to come back to quality and the quality of care we choose for ourselves, the quality we choose to move in and the quality of all our expression.

  192. Adrienne I love the way you’ve stepped us through the possibility that we just think we think but that in fact we are receivers of thought. How delightfully simple you make the responsibility to take care of the tower in order to ensure the quality of thoughts we receive. This blog could change the world… and one day this understanding will do exactly that.

  193. How we look after and appreciate our bodies affects the type of thoughts coming in-the ultimate self responsibility.

  194. There is far more to life than just physicality. I used to think it was just what I saw that defined reality but reality is far greater than what we solely see as emotions and feelings play a huge if not a significant part of how we experience life. This shows that already there are aspects to life that we are far more in touch with than we often realise yet we are not owning the fact.

  195. Thanks to Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine, I have come to truly know that the quality in which we live directly affects our quality of thoughts. The deeper I go with my self-care and self-love, the more my thoughts reflect this.

  196. This is 100% true – “We begin to know our physical selves – our body – as radio towers, that if broken or damaged with the hits and hurts of life, tune into frequencies that deliver a quality of thought very different to the quality of thoughts available to a tower cared for, maintained, tall and not only ready to receive thoughts, but aware of itself as a receiver of thoughts not by default but by design. Divine design in fact!”. The more I care for my tower, the better the frequency. I adore what you have shared here. Thank you.

  197. How important is it then that we are living with a connection and honouring of our body, that allows for the divine design to be received and flow through us – in this respect our body is our temple.

  198. “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” So true, that sentence is truly worth sitting with, as it communicates so much.

  199. If we have an AM radio we cannot listen FM through it. There is no way. Yet, we cannot deny that there is also FM. What if the body is the same thing? What is clear, is how the body matters regarding what we can tune in?

  200. When we shift the dial to get another FM station we can recognise the different output thanks to our senses. When we change source, feeling the difference is more subtle, but the difference can be aso felt physically.

  201. Could it be that every appliance that we come across in our lives is there to reflect the fact that nothing in this universe is self-produced but is the product of some kind of interdependency?

  202. The idea of two foodies thinking of the same recipe at the same time makes it clear that both foodies were aligned to the same source at the same time. We love to think that we are the source and to assign bonus to that fact because we can identify with the product. But, in spite of what we love, it is not true.

  203. We love creating as much as we love thinking that what we create comes entirely from us. But we are not ready to consider that creation has a source that is external to us.

  204. I keep coming back to this as I love the analogy, the tower, it is up to us to keep our tower strong, it tune and ready for the air waves to keep us open to receiving what is there for us to feel.

  205. I was just thinking whilst reading this that the radio tower doesn’t think less of itself just because it’s a receiver and emanator of what it receives, it just does its job tall and proud. Maybe we hang on to our thoughts too much thinking that it’s ours and that we are special because of it.

  206. One of the greatest revelations I have learned with Serge Benhayon is how movement, and more specifically the quality of our movement affects our thoughts. It is something I have put into practice a lot, and I can certainly say it works. Take for example, this morning I felt frustrated. My forearms locked up and my shoulders closed in. So, I simply changed my body posture, surrendered, and the frustration dissipated, and I was able to understand the situation better.

  207. Such a great analogy, for us to care for our tower, to do this requires us to take responsibility for what we put into our tower to ensure that it can pick up the signals that are so available for us to tune into. So simple, yet profound.

  208. ‘… our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.’ The analogy of the well maintained receiving tower is apt, Adrienne. I know if I am feeling foggy, tired or racy then the quality of what I receive and express is much lesser than when I am clear and still and open to receiving.

  209. You have made something that could potentially seem very complicated instead easy and tangible. As Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine have presented we are but vessels expressing the energy we align to .. Love or not Love. While this could be potentially challenging for people who believe ‘they’ are the ones that come up with ideas etc etc I find it quite refreshing and a bit of a relief .. there can be now no drive or push to be ‘original’ or come up with something ‘new’. It also highlights how as you have shared because of this (our bodies being receivers of energy) how we take care of them matters. For example if we fill our body with junk food, alcohol, drugs and sugar what kind of frequency are we going to be tuning into as opposed to taking care and loving our bodies listening to what is needed to support them be all that they are.

  210. Thank you Adrienne. This blog allows me to feel that absolutely everything I do is a reflection of what energy I have chosen to align to.

  211. I love this blog which so simply and playfully explores a profound theme ie that we only think that we think. It makes sense that we are the receptors and not creators of thought. How many times has a person come strongly into my thoughts only for me to see them or they phone a minute or two later … and I do remember when studying history how many ‘inventions’ or ground breaking theories/ideas came in clusters from people all over the globe separated by geography, so much so that who actually discovered things was often contentious – people all contributed pieces to the puzzle, according to the condition of their radio tower. Often we read about an idea whose time has come … their is a readiness in us to receive information at a different level, which maybe is what Einstein was alluding to when he said “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.”

  212. It is the ultimate wisdom then to deeply care and love the body we are in. I have noticed that the more I look after myself the more positive my thoughts are. There was a time when I did not care for myself at all and did not take responsibility for myself and my thoughts were dark indeed. There is so much empowerment in this and understanding that our thoughts are not necessarily our own means that we can dismiss the destructive thoughts as interference rather than giving them any weight.

  213. I have been feeling the effect in the quality of how I take care of my body by what and how much I eat, how I move, how I rest and the effect it has on what thoughts I have and how I deal in different situations.

  214. I am learning we have a different way of ‘thinking’ one that doesn’t come from our head, but rather comes from thinking from our heart and feeling the communication from our whole body. Thinking from the mind does not evolve us, but feeling and communicating from our heart means we have taken into consideration the whole picture before we express, and what we then bring is truly equalising and truly evolutionary.

  215. I love this Adrienne, ‘children are great examples of tuning into and receiving thoughts and ideas and so often from the mouths of babes, wisdom beyond their age and experience flows’. It’s so true that children can speak with an incredible amount of authority and wisdom that supersedes what we would ‘expect’ from someone so young… Perhaps we should ‘expect’ nothing less, as they too have an individual and equally valuable expression and experience of the world.

  216. This brings a deeper understanding of the fact that we are merely receivers of information and it’s the energy we align to that determines the quality of our output.

  217. Yours is such a wise and wonderful contribution and makes so much sense, if we are willing to relinquish a certain arrogance that can come from us thinking we are the originators of our thoughts – when, as you point out, we might just be “a receiver of thoughts not by default but by design”. It certainly explains the craziness of some of our thought processes, i.e. when someone thinks they have to kill a number of fellow human beings to prove a point or draw attention to something.

  218. This is a really simple way of sharing the fact that we don’t think. i love the analogy of the TV or radio receiving waves and tuning in rather than being a source of thought. To say that we are like a ‘tower’ and the thoughts we receive are based on the quality of that tower is so spot on and I can see how if I move in a way that is not loving towards my body, the thoughts that come in are all to do with self worth issues and self depreciation. However if I move in a way that supports my body and is loving, then the thoughts are very confirming of this, and I will remember to do little things for others or pay attention to the detail because it confirms the quality my body is in.

  219. I loved what you received and delivered to us with this blog Adrienne! It has tuned me into the very same station. Light , joyful and very enlightening channel it is too! I love it that we only think we think it takes all the pressure off thinking we having to come up with anything and reminds us of the responsibility we have to keep ourselves in a way that allows us to be clear receivers.

  220. ‘This way we begin to forever open ourselves to thinking about thinking that maybe we don’t really think. Now that’s worth thinking about!’
I found this blog and this line especially profound and gorgeous. The concept of not being the creators of thought is just too big a pill for some to swallow. What is interesting is when you do come around to being open to this concept, so much more happens, it opens you up to a smoggiest board of options, first is the choice of your quality of being, from there the types of thoughts are endless, songs, writing, meal ideas!!
For me, I don’t care if I don’t own them, like the common saying goes, ” There are no original thoughts” or “Everything we do has been done before” So what if these sayings were true? Does it really matter?
We are here to bring love not own and be recognised for what we perceive to be ‘our’ thoughts, when we think like this we become ignorant to the grander purpose.

  221. Hello Adrienne, I loved what you have written about thoughts and “Choosing not so much by content as by quality.” We have all manner of thoughts during the day but if the dedication is on quality, no good or bad, right or wrong or positive or negative but on quality then this sets the scene for a clearer day or moment. I loved how you have introduced that we are receivers and not the creators of thoughts, makes sense and as you also say, “When we loosen our grip on thinking that we originate anything and start realising instead that as receivers of thoughts or consciousness, our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.”

  222. The fact that we are not the originator of the thoughts that we have is a hard one to get our heads around. At the same time we are all connected, so why is it hard to fathom when we hear this for the first time? Thank you Adrienne.

  223. A great thought provoking blog, thank you. To entertain that we are simply a receiving tower of thoughts, ideas etc, offers opportunity to observe the way we behave, respond and therefore, have the empowerment to choose what type of energy we are expressing with. This leads on to the notion that we each are ultimately responsible for our own actions and thoughts.

  224. As I was reading your blog – I was struck by the fact that it is how we take care of ourselves that supports what we tune into, keep or discard and then I got the end and read this line – “our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.” and I was like – booyah! That is our job – that is what we we are meant to do. Prepare the vessel so the truth can be tuned into and lived. I know when my vessel was pretty abandoned and I was not taking very good care of myself – my thoughts left me often cold, confused, hurt, controlling and lots more. But now when I take much greater care of myself – my thoughts are much more honouring and appreciative.

  225. Adrienne, brilliant article, there is much to ponder on here, ‘maybe we tune into ideas rather than create them, with more than one of us sometimes catching onto or receiving the same thought.’ this changes everything and makes life much more simple and joyful and uniting, there is so much competition and comparison in our society but if we are transmitters, all with equal access to the same information and ideas, then there need not be, it is simply then about how we look after ourselves, so we have the choice as to the quality of what we receive.

  226. This would be an eye-opener for many mental health industries, who are working with clients experiencing destructive negative thoughts. I know for myself when I was struggling with lack of self worth my thoughts were so controlling of my body, and needing to be perfect. I now understand that how I move through my day from a to b has a huge influence on what frequency I’m tuned into.

  227. Our quality affects everything as you point out in this great blog Adrienne, how we move will affect which energy we allow to run our body, and to feel the end results of this energy and how it affects our thoughts and feelings is an interesting experiment. ‘If our thoughts don’t come from us and we can’t see them coming, then to choose the quality of thought we’d like to have leaves us to feel our way, noticing how different thoughts make us feel when we receive them: heavy, worried, anxious, mean, jealous, self-doubting – or light, open, willing, joyful, focussed, definite and playful. Choosing not so much by content as by quality’.

  228. Personally, I can still get caught up in the identity of what I know or the thoughts I have (the good ones!) It’s great to be reminded of the fact that we only think we think and that we don’t actually think but receive. It’s actually relieving to know that any ‘far out’ thoughts or disconnecting thoughts are not from us but through us and these sometimes alarming thoughts can be used as a marker to expose the state and quality of the vessel itself. I know when I eat sugar my mind and the thoughts coming through feel very unstable, scattered and strange – a marker of how I have treated my body and the quality of my vessel.

  229. You’ve used, or should I say, tuned into a great example Adrienne. The many devices that receive images, power, energy and information that then express them differently depending on the device itself. It’s pretty cool and cements the fact that we are all connected in what we know. We know everything already by virtue of being in a human body, a vessel that is capable of receiving information from much further then the eyes and mind can register.

  230. The possibility that we only think we think is indeed an interesting one. We are so attached to our intelligence, are we better than the next person, so much investment in self and ensuring that we have more or better than the next person. I am sure this concept will be a stretch for a lot of people. There is so much to consider, especially your example of the recipe, very interesting and worth consideration.

  231. It is my responsibility to say ‘No’ to every thought that is not true in every moment and every time I do this it is indeed a moment to appreciate.

  232. This is a fact I feel is very true, it shows that when I am feeling down my thoughts are in the same state and it is difficult to release myself from them, but when I choose to let go and come into my body the thoughts I receive are much more loving and caring, I get what I need in that moment.

  233. Beautiful Blog! Its amazing when you have just thought about something, and someone brings that exact topic up in conversation – energy is the pre-face for all of our thoughts and actions, what more proof do we need!?

  234. Not only is every thought coming from an external pulse or wave that reaches our radio tower, but every action, what we say, what we do, our choices and even how we move are all impulsed from signals that we receive. I love the notion that it is the quality of our body that determines the quality of the signals we can pick up. If this is in fact the case, which it is, then the quality of our choices, actions, words, mannerisms and everything all comes from the quality of our body, and how well we are looking after our body. The day that this is understood in full in society will bring great change to how we discipline and punish people for bad behaviour, deal with mental health issues, deal with behavioural problems and bring about change in how we all live and behave.

  235. The fact that such a situation, as us not being the originators of our thoughts, being so offensive begs the question of why? Why is it so offensive to consider that we are not all interlinked and have an ability to link to thoughts and feelings that can connect us? We certainly don’t live outwardly in connection with each other and yet we crave this the most deep down. So if we crave connection yet don’t live it is it a case of not being able? Is the part of us that gets offended the part that keeps us from accepting what we deep down crave and know to be possible?

  236. This revelation so beautifully voiced by Adrienne should be a vital part of our early education. This would eliminate the devastation of competition in our schools for starters if we realised that we are not the originators of our thoughts – we do not own them at all. The foundations on which we are encouraged and taught to ‘think’ in school are actually completely false. No wonder the world is in the mess it is. Knowing that we do not own our thoughts, we would also have far more discernment about the quality of those thoughts because we would be observing them, not attached to them. Marvellous blog, very freeing.

  237. “It is like we are all radio towers designed to tune into and receive outer frequencies and waves, but the thinking we’ve been tuned into for the past few thousand years has us believing (as an unquestionable fact) that we are the originators and individual owners of all our thoughts and ideas.” How clever is this if you do not want to be accountable for your choices… we simply tune into a frequency that allows us to not know we can choose what frequency we are running with.

  238. Adrienne I have to admit that I love the idea that I am like a tower a receiver of thoughts or consciousness – it gave me the feeling of being back in my power again as I am responsible to what kind of “radio transmitter” I want to tune in.

  239. Thank you Adrienne, you have explained this concept so beautifully. And it makes so much sense. Yes this sounds so logical and true. We are receivers of thinking not the creation of them. Look at an actor they think of a character and all that they do and say is in that character. Or think of a subject and put a nationality style or gender style, or religion style to how you look at it and see how your opinion changes.

  240. Adrienne we are taught from young that we have to have a smart mind, we have to learn things and “think for ourselves” but what you present here makes so much sense. I’ve often had thoughts and gone “where did they come from”, it is a common phrase that is used across the world. So if we consider that we are receivers then as you say the real question is what quality of thoughts do we receive? How come sometimes they can be loving but most of the time self critical or harmful? And then the real question is how do we live in a way that allows a quality of thought that is loving and evolving? It’s all of these questions that I love to now ponder having been presented the possibility of this by Universal Medicine.

  241. When you put it this way Adrienne, it is like we have been listening to a radio production and have become convinced that we are the lead character. It’s compelling, dramatic and in-depth, yet underneath the simple truth is we are not this at all, and actually have the ability to change the channel and turn off this long running soap opera show.

  242. How often have we had a disturbing thought and said to ourselves “Where the heck did that come from?” as it feels so out of place and not from ourselves. It’s not uncommon for people to even say about anothers unusual behaviour “somethings gotten into their head”. Or what about the term “out of control thinking” – if we are not in control then who is? There seems to be an undercurrent of knowing that thoughts are not completely our own.

  243. Your blog reminded me of the 100th monkey syndrome. From what I recall, when a group of monkeys were found to be washing their food in a lake, it was thought to be a first. However it was discovered that another group of monkeys were doing the same, yet they were physically separated from the first group. No such thing as original thought. Scientific discoveries in different countries have been similarly found.

  244. As I read about people being like towers tuned into radio stations that feed us the idea that we are the originators of our thoughts made me smile. It so quickly puts forward a philosophical tenet or question that makes much more sense than the exam and essay questions that are asked in some philosophy subjects at university because it relates immediately to life, our emotions, our wellbeing and challenges how everything can be perceived, understood and even who we believe we are.

  245. Well said Doug, how awesome if this was taught to us all at a young age, I know my life would have turned out very differently having this understanding.

  246. Thank you Adrienne for a great thought provoking analogy, it makes me much more aware of the importance of the quality of my tower (body)to receive the quality of thoughts that then are expressed out to other towers.

  247. Absolutely Elizabeth, beautifully expressed. We do have a responsibility for the quality of energy we choose to live in and so put out and to share with the world.

  248. There is always more than we can ever imagine. Therefore by allowing oneself to accept that one is a receiver of thoughts rather than the creator one is allowing oneself to access far more than one could ever create on one’s own. (That is if one was the creator of those thoughts in the first place).

  249. Mary what you have shared is true of us all. We all have quite violent or bizarre thoughts that stream through us from time to time and for me, I feel that what’s important is that I give them no weight at all and in saying that I feel that to pretend that they are not there is, in some way, giving them weight. I accept that they are part of the thought package that streams through me but that is all.

  250. The concept of ownership causes much angst when we see ourselves as an originator.

  251. Thank you Adrienne, this makes perfect sense, when society as a whole is lost and confused in wanting to know what is true when their tower or receiver is broken and or has no idea what energy it is receiving, then illusion is the order of the day. All walks of life are simply fitting into the ‘this is okay basket’, from the mentally ill, who are totally confused about a society that is not sure where their energy or thoughts comes from, so we stick them in the ‘too hard basket’, to the absolutely rich and famous, who fit into the ‘she will be right basket’. Everyone has a lot of questions about life, all these queries have now been answered thanks to the presentations by Serge Benhayon. Free will has allowed some to perpetuate this farcical illusion, so it could reign supreme, now the wisdom, which is being delivered through the Way of The Livingness provides a true foundation for our free will to be rock solid in its responsibility and commitment to share the truth – the energetic truth of all things.

  252. This stood out for me on reading this blog today, Einstein said that, “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” Do we need a greater level of awareness, a continually expanding one?

    1. This quote from Einstein is great wisdom to live by as it is so easy to fall into the trap of trying to think our way out of problems – it can be a compulsive distraction that has us going around in circles. So yes, it is worth understanding what is meant by ‘level’ of thinking, the word ‘quality’ or ‘energetic quality’ in its place make a lot of sense out of this quote.

  253. An artist spends their whole life trying to produce something unique, often only to find out that somewhere in the world, someone else has been doing the exact same thing. There is in truth no such thing as originality, and no such thing as original thought. It has all been done before. The craftsman thinks that they are the first person to want to design a table in the shape of a tree, only to find that nearly every craftsman has had such a thought at sometime in their career.

  254. Serge Benahyon and his family are amazing examples of having their frequency set on the Love button. Society at the moment can seem to have its frequency set on anything other then love, if you look at the media we allow ourselves to swallow not to mention the gossip, hate, manipulation that goes on daily we have to ask ourselves -if we are not tuned into love then what in fact are we tuned into?

  255. I have been in a couple of meetings recently where I have felt to express an idea and then in that moment it is expressed by another in the group. This completely backs up what you are saying Adrienne that thoughts come ‘to’ us, not ‘from’ us. When we realise this we can not be arrogant or protective over what we could perceive as ‘my idea’. Understanding this really brings into question copy right!

  256. Understanding that our thoughts are a product of how we have been living and the quality of our movements has been life changing for me. It has meant that I take full responsibility for the thoughts that are running through me rather than just thinking that they are random and I have no control. Now when thoughts arise in my mind that are not of the quality that I feel true to who I am, I question, what has been my quality of movement to allow these types of thoughts.

  257. I remember being in high school and sitting an exam with one other student at my table. At the end of the test we discussed what we had written and we were surprised to realise we both wrote on the same unusual theme. This theme was not set by the teacher, it had been something quite unique, yet we both wrote about it at the same time and in pretty much the same exact way. The teacher came to see us after assessing the exams also quite astonished that we have both written quite identical responses to the question – we all knew something unusual had happened. This sort of thing does happen quite frequently yet we don’t really ask why or address it in a matter of fact scientific way. There is a reason and the work by Serge Benhayon and Adrienne’s blog really explore the “why’s” of this phenomenon.

  258. Since I once realized this truth, that we do not think on our own so to speak, I became and still be again and again so humble. My body is ‘the tower’ as you say Adrienne and the way my tower is aligned is the way ‘I think’ – how I move and align will guarantee what is given to me and so the outcome (of my thoughts & actions). So my responsibility is huge, even no thought is ‘my own’.

  259. I really love this blog – because it makes me appreciate and understand the truth of our being as a vehicle of expression so much more. Life becomes so simple when all I have to do is to take care of this vehicle and be in the readiness to be used for the true light to be expressed here on Earth – I do not have to plan anything, I do not have to worry whether what I am doing is right, I do not even know how that expression of true light is going to look like, and I do not have to know it.

  260. It is worth considering that the quality of our care for our body contributes to the quality of our thoughts. The quality of the way I exercise can really impact how lovely or not, I feel. If I allow a horrible thought in, more will follow the same path. It’s a great awareness to have and it’s very empowering to know a different choice will produce different thoughts.

  261. Amazing blog Adrienne, love love love your analogy about us being a radio tower, the fact that we are here to look after that radio tower, that is our responsibility so that we can receive the frequencies that are there. That we are receivers, not originators. These are concepts that yes will confront people, but you have explained in beautifully.

    1. Yes Reagan and Adrienne – this shows us clearly where our work and responsibility lie – very humble work indeed, with no identification for recognition.

  262. So true Elizabeth and beautifully expressed. The responsibility lies first not with our thoughts but with preparing a body of love capable of discerning energy.

  263. Yes, Elizabeth, it is the transmitting back to the universe part that we all need to become more aware of, as the ripple effect is constant with our every word, gesture and movement. There is no escaping this law, and so we might as well accept how powerful we truly are.

  264. Thanks Adrienne great to read this and bring back clearly the responsibility of how I look after myself as a receiver of energy and the way I bring love to my life in every movement and activity, allows my body to choose the greater love that connects us all.

  265. Well said Rik. I too am becoming aware of and letting go energetic configurations that I have chosen, in my body, to protect myself. This configuration makes me imagine that the thoughts coming through are mine. becoming aware of what is happening is a huge step towards freeing ourselves of any thoughts that are not loving.

  266. I totally agree Elizabeth, we are learning that everything matters, every moment of every day, the responsibility of it is quite profound to feel and live it.

  267. Knowing that we do not think is amazingly freeing: “This is a game changer that explains so much of our behaviours, choices and everything from our crazy thoughts to our profoundly amazing ones.” For a long time I thought I was my thoughts, my behaviours and my actions and would think that was me, like ‘shy’ or ‘happy’. Knowing that we are only towers so to speak that bring through our thoughts and then our actions made me let go off these stuck ideals and made me so much more aware of how amazing I actually am. I can choose to let that amazingness come through all of the time instead of the other channel of struggle, pain, hate etc.

  268. Change the frequencies by changing how we care, love and hold ourselves and our bodies… that is Gold!

  269. Hilarious Richard! ‘D’oh’. It must have been floating around in cyberspace waiting for a particular ‘tower-type’ to pick up on it.

  270. It is only when we unlock this belief in ourselves as the ‘creator in chief’, that we can be free from need, the truth about energy. We hang on so tightly to achievements, jobs and roles in life like a joystick, steering wheel or rudder. Yet the irony you beautifully show Adrienne is that we are the ones being controlled and steered in a perpetual circle of thinking we are the driver. Way before words, actions or deeds Love is a vibration, an energy. The more we become familiar with this, the simpler life gets to live and breathe.

  271. Yes, the quality of the tower is paramount… in what quality it will receive and what quality it will output, and in both it is simply our choice. We have a choice in what quality we choose to live in and with, and a choice in what quality we offer others… the choice is always our responsibility in every moment.

    1. This is how I felt when reading this, it reminded me to take greater care of ”my tower” in order to receive clearer signals and the ability to choose wisely from those signals.

  272. An awesome blog Adrienne… love the analogy and the humour, and very inspiring to read – simply expressed, easily relatable and most definitely worth pondering on!

  273. Wonderful blog Adrienne Hutchins thank you. I am playfully reminded that many years ago I thought I had spontaneously created a new word – ‘D’oh!’ – said when something didn’t go ‘according to plan’. It was many years later when I realised this was related to The Simpsons, something I had never seen or heard until then.

    1. Really great to know you were connecting to the same source as Homer and Bart Simpson Richard!

  274. If I perceive the idea that I don’t think as an insult I might have not cared for my body lovingly, hence I am not able to let in such an amount of love. Because love it is. It empowers me to choose the quality of thoughts and hands me over one powerful tool to deal with life.

  275. It’s a science worth studying how to take care of my body and how to move it to gather thoughts that support me and others. Something I go on studying since I met Serge Benhayon for the first time. It was the first time I experienced true freedom.

  276. Divine design indeed Adrienne, if we choose it!
So much to ponder on in this blog, I find so much of what you have expressed very freeing, thank you.

  277. A brilliant and very thought provoking blog Adrienne. “This way we begin to forever open ourselves to thinking about thinking that maybe we don’t really think. Now that’s worth thinking about!”

  278. Adrienne, reading today I can feel anew what a game changer this blog is and how it’s not about the thoughts we have but about how we’ve been our quality and how that impacts the thoughts we can pick up on -it’s like being in traffic lanes which one do we choose. And it emphasises even more that the thoughts are the end point and it’s how we’ve been with our bodies prior which determines their type. And so when we do have crappy thoughts or ones which feel constrict us or our bodies it’s a great signal to say ‘what’s going on and how have I been with my body and it’s also great to remember we don’t own them ever. So a new insight for me is to treat thoughts like the food I eat and clarify with my body how it feels after?

  279. I like how this blog has accurately detailed how the quality of our livingness dtermines the quality of the energy we transmit

    1. The grip can be so tight and padlocked, that letting go may seem impossible, even implausible, but it is well worth giving it a go.

  280. The interconnectedness of all things is an understanding that has been with us from ancient days, that we actually live in a field of energy whereby we are all connected, and this ancient wisdom took into account everything and noting really was a mystery or hidden … Pan to present day where if it is not measurable it is thrown into the cynics waste bin of the unprovable, and yet in this world the best scientists in the world simply shake their heads and acknowledge that they do not have any idea of what 90% of the universe is made of.

    1. Great point cjames2012, that we are all interconnected and live in a field of energy, that this is known, yet it is still challenged by many in the scientific world, if it isn’t presented or indeed proven so that they can feel comfortable with the outcome, there is cynicism. Yet as you say, much of the universe is still a mystery to many of them.

  281. I just think this is so revealing “But what if the other part to Einstein’s understanding is that we don’t actually create our level of thinking, we receive it, that is: we only think we think.” it was and to be honest still is something I struggle to accept, even though I have many experiences that show this to be true. I feel we are very invested in thinking we think as it gives us individuality and that is something we seem to be very invested in! Unfortunately imagine life if we were invested in brotherhood…

    1. Yes well said Vanessa McHardy – we do seem to have a lot of investment in individuality and yet it seems to me that we also have an innate sense of brotherhood too – when we choose to feel rather than think. I get the sense that what I feel is more real, more integral and that thoughts are more ephemeral and require constant ‘feeding’. Constant investment you might say.

  282. “Our only job is to take care of the tower”, well said and very true indeed. This is why Self-Care is not just about having a hot bath, but our everyday movements like how we walk, how we breathe and how we tenderly do everything. Nor is it about thrashing the body to exhaustion, then having a two week holiday to over eat and over drink. Everyone these days seems to be stressed, burnt out or exhausted, so it’s clear the way we are living is hurting us dearly.

  283. Brilliant blog. If we are receptors of thoughts and information, can we receive the answers to our problems or successful future? I suppose this comes with a responsibility the more we allow to receive ‘what is gold’ the more it is not about you but how many people ‘the gold’ will effect.

  284. Here is an exercise worth trying. Cross your arms, lower your head to your chest, frown, and then try to think loving thoughts about your partner or someone you ordinarily would have no problems loving. It is very, very difficult, and proof in itself that it is the quality of our movement that controls our thoughts. Yes, our thoughts can change our body posture, but which came first? Now, if you try to change your thoughts through positive thinking etc you can convince yourself you have changed your mood, but the truth is you have not. You have only bought time by creating the illusion that all well. “Think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts,” said the anxious woman on the edge of a nervous breakdown.

Conversely, if you are experiencing dark thoughts, try changing the way you move, and particularly the quality of your movements – make them considered, tender, delicate if you can. Make them at least gentle, and if possible, loving, as though you are holding a babe in your arms. Observe the results – it is quite revelatory….

    1. Beautiful comment Adam hitting the nail on the head. Yes, this has been my experience too, change the quality of your movements and thoughts soon follow. One thing I often like to do is feel how my chest is sitting. Is it stooping forward or contracted. And if it is, just offer myself a little lovely lift in this area and feel the openness that this simple movement does to my body and how this affects the type of thoughts I am having.

    2. Great, Adam. This exercise and blog proves once and for all how powerful we are, to choose the way we move and what energy our thoughts are impulsed by.

    3. That’s such a great and very powerful reminder Adam. Something I already know but definitely need to bring more awareness to.

    4. Adam reading your comment really makes so much sense. I have noticed that many people who feel destitute have incredibly closed front bodies, often the heads are bowed and their shoulders collapse inwards. How radical could it be for people if rather than try and talk them through their problems, they were gently supported to change their posture.

    5. Great Adam, I know I got into the whole thing of thinking happy thoughts, talking to oneself in the mirror with positive thoughts. But they never stuck. Yet I have now experienced with Universal Medicine through their therapies, presentations and retreats, that it is indeed through movements that can change thoughts, so through the body….I agree quite revelatory.

  285. To me it feels like life has (had) damaged me to some degree so I can’t even pick up the truth. The imposition of life, the energetic loads that I have taken on have changed me, and this is what distorts and interferes with the ability to connect with God. As I clear these energetic loads and they fall away, and as all those ways life has tried to mold and manipulate me lessen, the volume of God naturally gets turned up, because it has always been there anyway.

    1. Turning up the volume and tuning into God, I like that Matthew, and in effect we are shedding all the garbage and crossed wires and coming back to where we started, as like you say it has always been there, it just got a little scrambled!

    2. That describes it pretty well Mathew! I have times in my life where I become super aware of what I have taken on or chosen and how hugely this ‘load’ that I have said ‘yes’ to is interfering with my ‘tower’, and how the volume of God has been squashed. They are very sobering times but such an opportunity to choose again.

    3. Matthew I love the way you have expressed your feelings. It feels true to me also and makes so much sense.

    4. Yes, Katie, when I open up to feeling God, I wonder how I could not be ever aware of His presence all around and within me. Boy, have we put so much emphasis on ‘the damages of life’…

  286. Yesterday I asked my son who is seven, a question as he was about to ask me one. I was asking him if he wanted a tin of tuna and he was about to ask me if he could have a tin of tuna. We laughed at how timed it was, but also knew that there was something quite normal about it which we confirmed with each other.

    1. This has happened to me many times Matthew, and seems perfectly normal, as indeed it is. It usually happens with someone who I have a close connection with and it makes perfect sense that we should be picking up the same energies. We say someone is ‘on the same wavelength’ as us don’t we, and now we know how true this is.

  287. ‘Einstein . . . talked about there being different levels of thinking available to us, memorably saying: “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.”’ Interesting – and makes sense that can’t solve our problems with the same thinking that ponders them. A new awareness is what is called for.

    1. New awareness is essential in life and this is one area where we can offer each other immense support.

      1. Ah yes Jenny and Abby, new awareness, but where does this new awareness come from? To be aware of ourselves is a gift, and to be aware that our thoughts are not from us is a gift also, because then we can choose the quality of our thoughts which is a moment to moment choice and to be able to choose we need to have awareness!

      2. Yes that is crucial Abby, that we support each other along the way, with the new awareness.

      3. I agree Abby, supporting each other fully to expand and grow in our awareness is the basis of true brotherhood – no judgement, critique, or putting one another down. In this we are reminded of our true connection and that separation is part of the grand illusion we have fallen for in the past.

    2. And the new awareness comes from Self-Care, how very simple. This is the way of developing a new awareness with every loving gesture and act towards ourselves.

      1. which then in turn effects everyone else – the natural flow of the ‘ripple’ effect.

    3. Einstein also said ” Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result”. Rote learning, automatic reactions, repetitive actions e.g: wars to solve conflicts of interest over and over again whether that be wars that are internal interpersonal, civil or international, are not working and never will. It is time to tune our towers to another frequency, to the Soul Channel, to Station Universal Mind.

    4. Yes, Katie, as soon as we are no longer dominated by the energy fuelling the problem we can see it for what it is and objectively choose afresh.

    5. I agree “A new awareness is what is called for” and flexibility and a willingness for changes!
So often I thought (!) I was making different choices to my parents– but I did end up doing the same in a different colour. A true change comprises often more than we think… ;).

    6. Jenny what you and Einstein have shared is the crucial missing link as to why so many ’causes’ don’t work. We are using exactly the same energy that created the problem (be that poverty or animal abuse) to fix the problem. We are using the substance of the ‘what is not’ to rectify the ‘what is not’ and wondering why all of the world’s issues are not getting better. Only the ‘what is’ can remedy the ‘what is not’. Higher vibration pulls up lower vibration and yet we go into problems with the same low vibration and try to manhandle the problem up to a higher place, which only leads to struggle and eventually giving up.

    7. This is a great tool thanks Katie, ‘ to step outside of the problem and ask yourself what would the situation look like without the problem and there in lies the way out of the problem.’ And as Janet added, by no longer being dominated by the energy fuelling the problem we can re-evaluate and see it from a more truthful perspective.

  288. As a radio tower, it becomes so clear that our purpose is expression, to let the right radio wave pass through and be transmitted out, and holding back on expression is a static buildup, a self-combustion waiting to happen, which would inevitably affect all the other towers in the network.

    1. LOL Fumiyo :-), in effect we are like tuning forks, tuning ourselves in to the vibrations of the Universe, like one gigantic network that is in fact, one Universal mind, and the more we evolve the higher we go until we are attuned to the magic of God.

      1. Wow Fumiyo and Sandra – a perfect example of how purpose in expression ignites other towers in the network “we are like tuning forks tuning into the vibrations of the Universe, like one gigantic network that is in fact, one Universal mind…….”

    2. Great Fumiyo, when we don’t express what we have tuned into it is a recipe for self-combustion and that does have a serious effect on all other towers. And a big one on your own 😉

    3. I so agree Fumiyo, it is such a game changer! That our one and only purpose is to express, to be responsible for our own radio tower, to allow it to transmit, no holding back and if we do, then we have the potential for static and build up and not being able to connect with other radio towers…..quite simple.

    4. I love this Fumiyo. Yes restricting our expression not only effects us but all others equally. We can inevitably change that by expressing in full what is there to be shared and we won’t have a delay in our transmissions then either.

  289. Adrienne, I love this blog and the analogy of our body being a radio tower transmitting a frequency we have tuned into. It really brings home how we are responsible for the quality of our own livingness, and through that quality determines the quality we tune into, and reflect back to others.

    1. Absolutely Sally. It is how we live and the quality that we bring to every movement of our expression, that is the foundational key for our radio towers to pick up the clearest frequencies.

      1. Yes, the quality of our movements have a huge impact on the energy we allow to run us.

    2. Yes, I agree with Adrienne- the quality we are in determines our next thought, action and expression, and therefore how important is it to ensure our movements are gentle and loving.

  290. What if when, why, how and what we eat influenced the quality of thoughts that comes through the body? What would this mean for nutrition studies worldwide? And how would this affect the treatment of mental illness? I have observed someone with a serious mental illness go through remarkable improvements in quality of thoughts and reduction of symptoms just from removing gluten from the diet.

    1. I absolutely agree Melinda. It is not only what we put in our body through the food we eat but also the way in which we treat our body moment to moment that has an affect on what and how we think. As everything is energy, every movement counts from the gesture of our hand, to the bat of our eyelid. It is all movement and expression and the quality in which we choose to do this will affect the quality of thoughts that we have.

      1. Yes, the effect a change in our movement has on our mind is literally mind blowing.

    2. That’s remarkable Melinda and something that should be researched further. I don’t eat gluten and havn’t so, by choice, for almost five years, and it is no coincidence that there are many gluten free products now available on the market and on cafe and restaurant menus. Could it be that we humans should not be eating gluten in the first place if it is having such a negative effect on our bodies. It makes me wonder what else we should avoid eating.

      1. It’s a question we all need to be asking ourselves, what foods are supporting us and what are not?

    3. This would turn not only nutrition but mental health on its head. Everything we do affects the quality of our thoughts and actions. This is beautifully illustrated by this blog. Thank you for sharing Adrienne.

    4. Awesome questions you raise here Melinda. It is already a widely known fact that sugar and colour additives can cause very disruptive behaviour in children. So we can’t deny the influence that food has on our thoughts and subsequent behaviours.

      1. And some other the food that is sold in supermarkets should never be sold as “food”.

  291. Mary this could indeed completely change the way in which we view and treat mental illness. Self care and self love could become the foundation for all treatment plans.

  292. I think this is an awesome blog Adrienne. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have crazy random and irrelevant thoughts pop into their mind, seemingly from nowhere and pretty constantly and it is very worth considering where they come from, because come they do. It is also very clearly noted that the state a person is in determines the quality of their thoughts. In my mind there is no denying what you present is true and very worth some scientific research into where our thoughts originate from and how many streams of though waves we get to choose from and how to condition our bodies so as to receive the highest thought forms possible.

    1. And could it be Jeannette that if scientific research were conducted in this area, it would simply confirm what we have all already felt at some point or another but perhaps do not want to admit, because then we would have to take responsibility for the quality of thoughts we ‘do’ let in and ask the question why and how did we get to this point …?

      1. I think quite possibly so Angela. It would be a bitter pill to swallow for those heavily invested in their beliefs and studies, their mental capacity and intelligence, for people plagued with victim consciousness, and those seeking a quick fix. But swallowing this bitter pill could be like taking the ‘red pill’ in the movie the Matrix, it could open our eyes to truth and our true responsibilities. I am confident science will take the higher ground, but not so sure when. Perhaps when enough of them have swallowed the pill and demand to know “how we got to this point” for the greater good of all.

  293. I love the analogy that we are radio towers. I used to identify quite heavily with my intelligence. I thought I owned it. With that came quite a lot of anxiousness and stress. I placed so much pressure on myself to maintain my intelligence. Nowadays I see things entirely differently – I know what comes to me is not mine. There is so much freedom and space with this. I am the receptor and all I have to do is, as shared in this blog, make sure that my radio tower (my body) is able to receive messages. Further to this, I am responsible for the frequency I am tuned to.

    1. Taking care of the body is paramount I agree Nikki. Every part of the body matters.

    2. That is a huge paradigm shift Nikki, to realize that intelligence is given to us and passing through us and to stop identifying with it. I mean after all Descartes with his statement “I think, therefore I am” is still highly revered until today… he truly fooled us into the wrong direction.

      1. There is so much identification with intelligence and it is something society prides itself on. Thinking I am intelligent still has a strong pull and I get caught in it sometimes, but I know the Truth and I have the choice to come back to that.

      2. Nikki I can relate to having relied heavily on intelligence as my way of protection and to not feel what my body was so obviously communicating with me. My head is still the place I refuge to when I do not want to feel something, but as you say coming back has become much simpler in simply connecting to my body and chasing the quality in which I move.

  294. Along with the thinking that we are the originators of our own thoughts is a similar line of thinking that says ‘If I cannot see it then I don’t believe it for there is no proof’. However we cannot see radio and TV waves and yet we believe in their existence because of the end result, so why is it any different for energy passing through human beings?

    1. That line of thinking seems to be quite common. When acting this way we are shut out from so much of what life is about and has to offer. We miss out on the magic of life but also the day to day understanding.

    2. Great point! There seems to be a bit of pride there in us that we do not want to let go of not being the generator of what we identify as being our lives.

    3. Yes, Andrew, and now with wifi and bluetooth, we are getting used to things happening that we cannot see. One day the invisible world of energy will be as familiar to us as what we can see, hear and touch.

    4. great point Andrew and I had to laugh as i realised that through TV and radio we believe anything simply because it is on there. How easily deceived we are by what we see and how easily we ignore what we do not see. If we were to see the unseen we would easily be able to know what is true and what not, in what we do see.

      1. I agree Lyndy, we have become so complacent and have been giving our power away to the media and so we do not want to know to what extend we are being fooled and lied to. And we have passed on our responsibility of always discerning for truth by saying ‘they should be trustworthy’, if we pass on the responsibility for what we choose to others, we don’t truly care and the ones we pass it on to will most likely be the same, thus spiraling to a world where what you read and hear cannot be trusted to be the whole truth in most cases.

      2. Totally Carolien. It requires utter and constant discernment of what is true and what is not, never burying any hint of feeling we get about something but honouring it.

    5. Great point Andrew, it shows that we are not really that honest and certainly not logical in our approach to finding the true answers to life as we basically twist and turn it depending how we need it to fit with our ideals and believes.

      1. point well made Judith we are in fact very dishonest as we have a lot of investments to protect and do not wish to rock our boats of comfort too much. When we reach the point of maybe tipping over we all quickly sit down again.

      2. Haha, so true Carolien – it is a big leap to let the boat tip over and start again from a fresh foundation but it has been done by many. The only risk we are taking is that we might get a bit wet in the process. But then of course there are all this fears of what could happen and whether we will survive that can keep us from making that decision…

  295. It makes so much sense that we are receivers of energy and that our responsibility is to choose which energy we align to receiving. It brings a lot of understanding to the world as I know it. Thank you for writing this blog Adrienne and reminding me how important it is to ‘look after the tower’ to ensure a quality of thought that is loving.

  296. The more we become aware of ourselves, the easier it becomes to see and filter the white noise that bombards us un-relentlessly what is and what is not truth.

  297. What you say here Adrienne is awesome, especially about ‘looking after the tower’ is all that is required to determine the quality of thoughts we receive. It reminds me of just how self-care and self-love can nurture this and that every action of love and care towards ourselves matters.

    1. Yes it is a great point to realise that there is energy passing through us all the time, including all the universal wisdom we could ever wish for, however it is the quality of our ‘tower’ or body that determines how we receive, interpret or reinterpret this energy and therefore how much access we have to it.

  298. Adrienne, I love the clarity you present here and that image you use, being an antennae that receives makes it so real, and brings it back to the question you raise that if no thought is from us but that we pick up on it, then how do we live such that our body can discern truly?

  299. It is in fact very liberating to consider that our thoughts are not actually our own thoughts! That would mean we do not have to identify with all this stuff passing through our brain – what a relief!

    1. Totally Judith. To be able to detach from and observe what is passing through the brain is an awesome way to go. The conservation of energy would come into this too – imagine what the world’s atmosphere would be like if we refused to identify with ideals, beliefs and emotions?

    2. It really is liberating. We can get caught in the negative or obsessive cycle, get bogged down in the constant stream or identify with great ideas and achievements. Drop all of that and there is so much breathing space – for us to be ourselves and live the divine.

    3. I agree Judith and it cuts the whole game of running around in circles beating ourselves up, then building ourselves up again only to go down soon after. It becomes very very simple and yet I feel this is exactly why we avoid it, for where would we go if we did not have our struggles and identifications anymore?

      1. Yes true Carolien, life would simply be very simple without the complications in it – nothing there to identify with.

      2. Totally Judith and this to the human spirit (the ‘nothing there to identify with’) can look pretty daunting. If only we can realise and experience that this ‘nothing’, this ‘space’ is filled with the most divine love. Then we would fully accept and surrender.

      3. Yes well said Lyndy, the space is not empty space but full of everything (love) the universe is made of.

      4. Great point Carolien – who are we without our struggles and issues? Something worth exploring here.

      5. Lyndy you make an awesome point here. We think if we let go there is nothing because we are so identified with all that we have created. But all that we have created is not love and therefor all that simply is and always will be is love.

  300. Awesome Adrienne. You really did get me receiving 🙂
Yes we are the receivers of our thoughts and it’s so true that ‘our only job is to care for the tower we embody’ So the way we walk, talk, eat and move our ‘Tower’ will determine the kind of thoughts we will receive. We always have a choice.

  301. We have always been paying attention to what is being broadcasted, taking pride in it, identifying with it, maybe struggling or fighting with it, but always focussed on the broadcast. Yet the power en connection lies in the tower, as it is the quality of the tower that determines what is being broadcasted. It is the antidote for complexity as in the tower can only be the simplicity of how we care for it or not.

  302. I am feeling how unpalatable this can be to the mind solely educated and invested in life whose purpose is personal aggrandizement that we do not think, nor originate anything.

  303. The two sources of energy we can receive are broadcasting both all the time and are running through us constantly we only have to choose which is the one source we broadcast.

  304. Every time I have, or more accurately said I receive, thoughts that are not supporting, loving, taking everyone into account, are critical, doubting, judgmental I can simple say ‘stop’, for this not me in the first place.

    1. I am playing with this too Monika and it has been very supportive to understand that any self bashing, or going around in circles on what I did wrong is just more of the same energy and pointless. It is not who I am and not even ‘me’ who is doing it which makes it so much easier to let go of.

      1. That is my experience too, Carolien. It also supports me in letting go sooner, now that I am more open and willing to observe where I am at with myself it doesn’t take me so long anymore to stop this beating up process.

  305. This article has me sitting up straight in my chair and really paying attention. It is like it has woken my body up to really take note of what lies behind ‘thinking’. With pondering the fact that we don’t think but receive, comes a wave of clarity about my responsibility to maintain the radio tower (my body) in tip top condition. This is really inspiring me this morning. Thank you, Adrienne.

  306. Mary I love what you have shared – “Could this mean that if you went through life unaware you could easily become a transmitter of an energy that gives you negative thoughts that is then acted upon without realising they are not actually your thoughts in the first place?” This is really something to ponder on and I agree that it is a very interesting aspect for all people working in the field of psychiatry – I guess that could be an eye opener and a game changer for them.

  307. This blog has a powerful message that is not often taught yet so key to life: care for the body so it can tune into what is true and loving.

    1. And we can get very comfortable with our ‘chosen’ station, being identified with it and becoming good at ‘knowing it.

  308. This blog illustrates beautifully how we can get caught in a loop, like a goldfish in a bowl wondering if this latest place is new. We often try to ‘nut out’ what is off in life, using the same source that caused it all. When as you say Adrienne, the truth is closer to us simply recognising we have experienced interference and got stuck on the wrong station.

  309. This is a brilliant analogy Adrienne, tackling a difficult subject. We are trained from little to think our way through life. Feeling, understanding and innate knowing are not awarded in any way..too often dismissed.
We are congratulated (or humiliated) for the quality of our thinking, never actually questioning what thinking is.
So when a person says that we only think we think…well how do we think our way around that one?
Thinking is a powerful tool, and equally one that conceals its own origins. This is the power of your analogy, because it gives a reference point and sets a context that few of us have considered to date.

  310. Fantastic blog Adrienne Thank you for looking after your ‘tower’ with such love and care that you were able to receive these words of great wisdom to share with us all.

  311. We only think we thing is such an important part of our understanding of life and our way of living in this world and this is a great article showing this so simply and clearly . “Once we take up a thought and express it in word or deed, its effects can clearly be seen and felt as they play out in ways that leave us or another feeling less, or deepens the responsibility and care we bring to ourselves and others.” so true and so revealing !

  312. So simple and brilliant at the same time Adrienne. Our only job is to look after ourselves with great care and responsibility so we can receive the loving wisdom of the universe. There is no hard work or mental grunt that is required, if we are choosing these thoughts then that is the sign we have taken a detour and we can choose to come back to our bodies.

  313. Adrienne, this is a real game changer and must be the worlds best kept secret. I have found this is true from observing people in the world and how and when they change. We all know how infectious laughter can be, and perhaps we have become sad when we are around someone who is sad. People watching competitive sport often behave more aggressively than before. When I see a change in people I know well I ask ‘what’s got into you?’ and we find there is an external frequency they have tuned into.

  314. Why do we want to own thoughts in the first place? Because we have invested in a 3rd dimensional reality which requires knowledge to function, and being equipped in a lot of knowledge can get you a great life, it is used as a form of protection and security.

    1. It’s great to be honest about this so that we can free ourselves from the confines of living as if there is only one reality or plane of life we live in and our investments to try and stay safe and secure within it.

How many of the thoughts we tune into cement this construct that what we see around us is all there is and we live our life accordingly. A big one is that when we die we die so we don’t get to revisit what we created. Another one is that we are just our physical appearance and there is little more to us so we choose to invest in our appearance for appearance sake and nothing deeper. I am inspired to become aware of other such beliefs and thoughts that inhibit my awareness of the multi-dimensional aspects to life.

    2. Why do we want to hold on to individuality and refuse to surrender to being the divine instrument we naturally are? We fight the truths we know inside by thinking we think and choose to be instruments of the other source that provides us with anti evolutionary thoughts.

  315. “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” I love this line of Einstein’s, how different would our lives be if we lived this wisdom everyday.

    1. So true this line also caught my attention Anna and we all know when we think about a so called problem and repeat thinking about it again and again wanting to find a solution but somehow it doesn’t work finding it.

      1. There are many layers to this quote from Einstein. Looking for solutions from the same place as we created the problem never works. Solutions are merely band aids that cover over an issue – never getting to the root of it. The only way to truly get to the heart of the matter is to let go of needing to find a solution and looks to our own inner-hearts. What I mean by that is stop thinking, and focus on looking after our vehicle of expression, our body, and with the deepening connection with ourselves the next step becomes clear.

    2. I love it too Anna, whenever I am stuck on something, my thinking just makes me more stuck. It is not till I walk away and let it go, bring presence to my body by and move gently with it. Then it is like I have tuned out of the stuck frequency, it no longer dominates, and I tune into a frequency that feels harmonious, here I come to a greater understanding.

    3. Yes, it’s such beautiful, simple wisdom. So much wiser to just drop the issue and go for a walk with oneself for example. Changing the quality of our movements tunes us into understanding and awareness beyond where we were at.

    4. This quote by Einstein is great Anna, to me if highlights that the so-called solutions or answers as so very short sighted.

  316. What your blog calls for Adrienne is a deeper level of responsibility with our thoughts and how harming we can be when we express from a lesser or unclear frequency.

  317. An awesome sharing Adrienne, thank you for so clearly explaining how thoughts are feed to us and how this gives us an opportunity to choose the quality of our thoughts and to notice the difference we feel when we align to a higher frequency.

  318. I love that quote from Einstein: “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” You can’t think your way out of your thinking. The only way out is movement. If I change the way I move and do things the thoughts I get change.

      1. I love this, Kylie. Truth that hits home how simple life can be when the mind stops running the show.

  319. “The idea of being a mere receptor, not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence, rudely suggesting that we are not special, nor different, nor brilliant, but somehow passive, mute and dumb.” If I don’t think, but receive thoughts who am I? So scary to lose individuality and to not own anything. Nothing to pride ourselves about. The simplicity that comes with accepting I don’t think is hard to handle, so used am I to think.

    1. Scary yes, but maybe only because it is a break away from familiarity? I love the simplicity of considering myself as a radio tower… it is not my job to think but to receive and ‘re-distribute’. This makes my purpose and responsibility really clear: to take care of the radio tower, to maintain it in great working condition and to embrace the humility that gets any sense of my individuated ‘specialness’ out of the way so that I am working with, not in competition against, others.

      1. I love the simple and clear purpose you offer: “to take care of the radio tower, to maintain it in great working condition and to embrace the humility that gets any sense of my individuated ‘specialness’ out of the way so that I am working with, not in competition against, others.” This is exactly how it is: all I have to do is take care of my body and allow it to be the divine instrument it is.

  320. Knowing we don’t think makes sense. The more I am aware of this the easier it is to stop the thoughts that pop into my head and have no relation to what is going on at that moment, they are random thoughts that are there to distract me and take me off track. When these thoughts do come in this is when I need to look at the quality of how I move that has allowed these thoughts to come in rather than accepting that this is something that just randomly happens.

    1. It’s the same for me Alison. The more aware I choose to be that my thoughts are not mine, the simpler it is to notice those random, destructive thoughts and say no to letting them in. I’m not perfect by any means in this so they do still get in and run amok quite often, but by bringing my focus to my body, to being more loving and present with my movements and the quality with which I am moving, I am saying yes to Radio Love with every moment I choose to do this.

    2. Awareness of the kind of thoughts we have, knowing we can change them and that we are responsible for the kind of thoughts we have by the way we move is very empowering. I agree this is not something that just randomly happens and that we are the victims of.

    3. I have found the same Alison. It has made it very easy to not identify with thoughts that are just not congruent with what I am doing at the time.

  321. It feels as if life is set up to purposefully distort the radio frequency of God, it’s no wonder hardly anyone can hear him clearly with all the interference that is constantly streamed through the air.

    1. There is so much interference and subtle manipulation/control we let in. Discerning what is true and not true and then choosing truth is key.

  322. A great reminder that radio towers transmit as well as receive…how important is it to be consciously aware of what we are transmitting?

    1. Yes Kathie, as equally as important as it is to be aware of what we are receiving 🙂

      1. And it gives thoughts less importance, for example we may react to unpleasant thoughts and spend the day focused on them or be upset by the nature of our thoughts, but what if such thoughts are just signals that are quality of living has dropped and to return to connection, conscious presence, the way we move, and self love and self care? Being aware of our thoughts has a different purpose then.

    2. This is super important Kathie. We so often just don’t stop and discern what we are saying and why, at times it is like we just don’t have ‘control’ of our thoughts.

    3. Absolutely Kathie and there is a science that explains that how we are with our bodies in daily life will determine how aware we are of what we are receiving and transmitting and how open we are to receiving divine intelligence or how we interpret it or re-interpret it.

      1. After reading this today and the following comments – I was feeling into the quality of how I look after my tower, how important it is to maintain it to the highest self-loving condition possible to receive/discern all incoming messages and that same quality is transmitted so the output is of the same highest quality for all to feel.

  323. Adrienne this is brilliant and clearly you have simply connected to a source that is able to express such clarity and awareness which came through your tower. This screams RESPONSIBILITY big time because if we have a tower that is able to access the all easerly then what we choose to receive will determine the quality we are living in. This is All of the Time. Absolutely YES this is worth thinking about. I have been hugely inspired also by Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon in connecting to this truth and letting go of held beliefs that I am my own thinker. Scientifically as you say Einstein was sharing this years ago yet we as a society have chosen to ignore it, or at least not wanted to understand it fully and take it to the next level.

  324. ‘the way we receive and then act on the information picked up is dependant on our individual makeup and the quality of our tower ‘ …. I love what you share here, Adrienne, there is no wiggle room. Every second, our choices are affecting the ‘quality’ of our tower, which in turn affects how we handle the information we are receiving, which in turn affects everyone around us. That takes our commitment to self responsibility to a whole new level.

    1. Actually it makes life so simple: all we have to do is take super good care of our bodies and move after connecting to quality first and everything is there: we can be the divine instruments we naturally are.

      1. Yes Monika – simplicity is such a natural way for us to be and allows complication to be a great marker for when we have lost our connection to quality.

  325. Sitting with the saying from this blog “we only think that we think”, brought awareness back to my body and an opening up of space, which led to a moment of stop. This was a tangibly different feeling that the last moment full of thought. It felt expansive and worthy of staying with, just for the space it opened up to feel.

  326. This blog is a very humbling read for anyone who prides themselves on their intelligence or intellect or knowledge. For if it is indeed true that all our thoughts and intentions and ideas come from an energy that is passing through us, then everything we call intelligence does not come from us but is given to us by our choice of energetic alignment and it would make sense therefore to be aware of the quality of the source we are aligning to.

    1. Beautifully said Andrew. No need to pride ourselves on our thoughts or our amount of knowledge, what we should appreciate about ourselves though is that we are a vehicle that has the capacity to choose true loving intelligence which comes from a loving being called Soul.

    2. The opposite is also true. If we understand that we have a choice to be vastly more intelligent than we currently are, then it is a small price to pay to accept that neither our normal intelligence / thoughts, nor the vastly more intelligent thoughts are ours to begin with.

Overall this is a great, amazing, smashing deal!

    1. Great point Andrew, if we were to list the way humanity interacts with each other, and I mean every physical interaction, it highlights exactly what we are choosing.

  327. It is very interesting to consider that we are receivers of energy not the origin of it. That they we can tune into different ‘frequencies’ or ‘qualities’ of energy by choice. If we are deliberately tuning into a certain energy that gives us the quality of our thoughts then are we also tuning out another energy which would give us a completely different quality of thought and intelligence?

    1. And also, we may not even be aware that there is a choice and so plead ignorance of the fact. But by not choosing to tune into the Divine frequency, by default we are choosing to transmit Radio Chaos. Ignorance is no excuse for the irresponsibility so many of us have lived in for eons.

      1. Good point you raise here Lucy that unlike a radio or TV tower, we actually cannot stop transmitting, we can’t be switched off. So that means if we are not choosing one energy we are by default choosing to transmit the other.

  328. These are great questions that you have asked.

‘What level of thinking, data and information are we tuned into and receiving?

What determines the frequency we are tuned into?

Are we ‘stuck’ on or limited to one frequency?

How do we alter the frequency we receive?

Is there a way of knowing the type of frequency we are tuned into?

What relevance is the condition of the tower to the quality or type of frequency of thoughts it receives?’

For me the last one sums up the others ‘what relevance is the condition of the ‘tower’ to the quality or type of frequency of thoughts it receives’. The quality of how we live, our body and what we put in our body is of ABSOLUTE relevance with and to the quality of thoughts we receive. This is what I have learnt from Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine and by observing and feeling this in my life I know this to be true. It comes down to what are we aligned to? Love or not love?

  329. It would have been great to have an article like this to refer to when I was studying philosophy at university and nothing made sense. This is true philosophy and true science.

    1. !!! Love this Elizabeth. So many times whilst listening to Serge Benhayon, or reading some of his books, I have had that same Eureka moment…followed rapidly by …”I wish I’d been taught this at school”. The merry-go-round that I have played on for years when the truth was right with me at all times. Daft.

    2. Literally the world would change if this would be common knowledge for everyone. I say: let’s bring it into primary school and make this natural truth ‘the new normal’.

  330. I just fully connected to the fact that we are just that, connected on all levels with our equal brothers all over the world, making it such a small place energetically and not separate countries and states. An amazing blog Adrienne, thank you for writing it.

    1. That is such a game changer Roslyn, “connected on all levels with our equal brothers all over the world”. When we truly come to realise this, it completely neutralises all our beliefs about race and nationality, because energetically we are and always have been connected to one another through the energy we all live in. We have always been equal. Try as we might this truth cannot be denied or evaded, the more we come to understand about the quality of the ‘space’ we live, the more we will appreciate that it carries information we all tune into and communicate to each other through, as evidenced by telepathy and the simultaneous ideas humanity constantly expresses.

    2. Roslyn your comment has really highlighted the level of identification that comes from thinking. If we look at different cultures, religions, traditions, cultural practices, languages and so on, and if all of that has come to the human mind through a process of reception (ie we are radio towers), then even those things come from the quality of our livingness. We are creating and hanging onto things that make us different (ie cultures), but they may have only come about from thoughts related to the quality of energy we live in. The other side is we could all be unified by love because of the quality of thoughts that come from love – a one unified truth. To give an example, someone who lives a life of deep self care and self love could not have the thought to create a cultural practice such as female genital mutilation, or bullfighting for entertainment. These thoughts do not originate from love.

  331. This is huge and a metamorphic way of understanding life. It’s so huge that possibly many would refute the truth of it a bit like the world being flat to the truth of it being spherical, or of the sun revolving around the earth. The fact that we are receivers of energy and receivers of thought and not the creator of them is a seismic shift in consciousness.

  332. That is a challenging thought Adrienne, to think that we do not think, but it is brilliant and makes a lot of sense. It begs the question who has given us that thought?

    1. I have wondered many times where a particular thought I would have came from, as it would seem so random with no relationship at what I was doing. To have read this fantastic blog many years ago would certainly have saved me from all that wondering.

      1. I can relate to that Ingrid and I feel many people know this feeling of having a very random or crazy thought come in that does not seem to fit in anyway. Before I knew how energy works and that our thoughts are the end result of the energy we chose this did not make any sense to me. becoming aware of how energy plays out in our lives has given me many answers to life.

    1. Super agree, Carolien. Adrienne has shared humungous wisdom in a really playful, accessible and visual way. We are radio towers that come with a clear maintenance program – our ‘job’ is to take care of our towers (bodies) so that we can be always extending what we receive and then transmit.

      1. love it Matilda and true it is this simplicity that will helps us move forward knowing that our maintenance program is inbuilt and the on switch is the connection to our body.

  333. This blog is really food for thought, it seems like such a new concept that the more loving we are with ourselves and the better we look after ourselves, the more connected we can be to truth, but this really is as old as we are, we have just been distracted by thoughts that come from not being all that we are.

    1. It is very supportive to me to constantly remind myself that it is indeed nothing new. It is the most basic, simple, fundamental and primary science. We have made it a zillion times more complicated by our choices to walk away.

      1. We certainly have a way of complicating things don’t we Otto, and in the process losing sight of the simplicity of life and the fact, as you say, that “indeed nothing is new”, we just think it is. Oh the grand illusion we have created!

      2. Yes Otto, it is very supportive indeed to know that we do not have to live something new or that we have to improve ourselves in any way shape or form but instead just have to return to a state of being we have lived before and know very well.

      3. So true Nico. Makes a mockery of the chasing and drive that so many of us live our lives in. The pursuit of individuality. Frantically swimming against the tide, exhausting ourselves.

    2. Even the consideration of ‘thought’ feels exhausting kevmchardy. Today after reading comments I sense that the option I am going to choose is to hand my ‘vehicle’ over to God and go ‘absolutely’ with all that comes.

  334. This blog reminded me of how connected we all are or could be, if only we were all tuned into the same reliable source, recognised where our thoughts were actually coming from and moved forward making responsible choices in everything we did so all of our thoughts were all on the same wave length.

    1. Yes Kevin, then we could not else to cooperate and jointly work together for the bigger plan, to serve humanity in al that we do, as the source of energy we will then be connected to will unite us all as one.

  335. “There are many occasions where scientists separated by continents and culture end up ‘discovering’ the same thing simultaneously, without ever having access to the same physical data, yet find themselves to be sharing a convergence of the same thought or idea.” I know this happens and has happened and how beautiful it would be if we become aware of the fact that we are just receivers of energy, of thoughts and that our thoughts are not ours. This would change the way we will conduct in science as instead of champion our thoughts or findings in competition with the rest of the world, scientist with the same findings can start to work together and in this cooperation more of the information will become available for all of humanity. How amazing is that!

    1. Of course. A great point, Nico. If we accept that we are receivers of thoughts that are available to all, then the competition and need for individual recognition and accolade completely diminishes. This is the start of collaboration and down come the doors of secrecy and rushing towards getting our findings out there before another so that it is our name that is lauded.

      1. Indeed Mathilda, and there would be no personal interest anymore but instead a responsibility to cooperate as good a s possible to serve humanity to the best.

    2. That would be Super amazing if this were to happen Nico. Imagine what then would be accessed if a group worldwide was working together, the possibilities are endless and beyond what we could imagine. The whole ownership on ideas and wanting to be recognised for them is completely loaded with self and naturally will cap us from accessing the enormity of what is on offer.

      1. It is currently beyond my imagination too Natalie, but I can feel that enormity you are talking about sometimes very clearly. Especially the fact that if we can let go off the idea that we are the owners of our thoughts is huge as that is keeping us in separation of one another while when we could let go of this belief and become honest with the fact that what we think is not ours and have a responsibility in that, the separation which we held based on this will cease.

    3. Yes Nico! And by understanding that it’s our quality of livingness that determines the type of intelligence we receive as thoughts, then everyone could then focus on their responsibility for their quality. What an interesting world that would be!

      1. So true Melinda, we only have one responsibility and that is to shine our light in all that we are to the best of our ability and anything else will come from this commitment, the commitment to the truth if we choose to dedicate our life to that.

    4. What I love about this is the letting go of ownership. We can live in the appreciation of the amazingness that lives through us without making it about us.

      1. So true Richard, and when we work together like this, without any ownership of our thoughts and with the responsibility that we connect to the true source of energy, what we can achieve will be beyond our current imagination. But I do know that when we will work together like that we will restore a way of living together that we have lived long ago as a species on this earth.

  336. Embracing that we are not the ‘creator’s of our own thoughts’ is actually hugely freeing. It allows us to let go of the pressures to ‘be smart,’ ‘to get things right,’ ‘to fix things for other people,’ etc and instead just commit to a way of living that guarantees the quality of thoughts that we will access. From there, all we need to do is deliver what we have felt the impulse to express.

    1. Yes, it frees us from judgement of others for not being clever, or ourselves for not understanding something intellectual. That I do not ‘create’ my own thoughts leads me to focus on where my responsibility lies – in the quality of energy that I choose in my day.

      1. Without the judgment on anothers intellect or ability to recall information/answers, we may then compassionately observe simply whether that person is in a loving quality with themselves or not. If we were to eliminate ownership of “intelligence” it would certainly change how we relate to one another.

    2. I love what you have shared here Kate. Letting go of having to be right, smarter and achieve more is very freeing. Let’s introduce this into schools. This is revolutionary.

      1. Kathryn I am with you – it would be absolute great to introduce this into schools. For me it is easy to imagine how this would change the world in a very loving way.

      2. very true Kathryn, it is not so exhausting as well. Connecting to the fact that we are ok as we are and from that supporting our children to simply never let go of this connection would change our entire school system.

    3. I pondered about your comment Kate, if the thought of needing to be smarter or better or having to be right are not our thoughts it could be so easy to let this go. If everybody would do this in a playful way there would be much more harmony amongst people.

    4. Kate, this shines a whole new light on it and reveals the fallacy we cling to which actually imprisons us, and in fact when we let go that we think we can also let go all those positions and defended we hold for those thoughts we ‘think ‘ are ours. Our job is to live in a way that creates a body which has the quality of the love we are.

    5. Very true katemaroney1. I have often surprised myself with what I have been impulsed to express. There is a sort of ‘where did that come from’ feeling. What I have also observed in myself is how there are times when I then want to own that thought for myself, so I look good and receive recognition for it. Yet, when I do so, I feel very different, kind of contracted, much less open and in fact, unable to allow those impulses to express through me.

    6. Yes feeling free from having to always feel we have to be smart of come up with the right way or to fix something. I know I have this continually coming up at work, to feel over responsible for ‘coming up with the approach or plan for change’, there is a pressure attached to that, but I know when I do surrender, be allowing and know that I will receive what is next, everything flows and it is not stressful, but effortless.

  337. It is interesting to have had an experience where the body has acted faster than the thoughts that came into my head. This occurred the other day when someone, an unknown person on the street, attempted to get into my car as I had slowed the car down on the road. My hand moved quicker than my thought to lock the door. The speed of clicking the central lock button first took me by surprise, THEN, the cascade of thoughts came into my head questioning what was going on. This incident I experienced confirms what you have talked about in your blog Adrienne.

  338. Its a brilliant, brilliant analogy Adrienne. In particular this idea of caring for and maintaining the tower. What occurs to me is that the more clearly we receive something, the less interference is experienced by those that we then communicate these ideas to. It really brings home the responsibility.

  339. From personal experience I’ve proven thinking turns into complication very quickly when left to it’s own momentum. Initiating awareness of this and introducing stop moments is very supportive to bring myself back to simplicity and I can physically feel my body relax when I make this choice.

  340. The idea (excuse the pun!) of tuning into ideas instead of creating them throws all notion of self out the window so to speak. If we are simply vessels transmitting energy, our focus can turn to how we treat this vessel so that it can resonate at the clearest frequency for transmission.

  341. Loved reading your beautiful and inspiring blog Adrienne, the other night I had a barrage of thoughts coming to me from all direction, and in that moment I was able to feel them and choose not to go down that path, but to come back to feeling my body. It is great to realise that we don’t think, and that we have a choice to align to two very different energies that will give us a range of thoughts.

    1. Indeed, it would expedite the much needed change to our current education system.

  342. I had never thought about how devices receive information and therefore how probable it is that we also receive information. This makes so much sense, it makes me wonder why we are so fixated on the idea that our thoughts are our own. It’s a bit like believing the world is flat which seems absurd to us now but didn’t then.

    1. Yes, Fiona, we will one day collectively look back at our arrogance in thinking that we create our own thoughts. It is super important for us to re-learn to live in a way that relegates the mind to its relative importance, and reclaim the wisdom we constantly receive from our bodies, which is naturally aligned to love.

    2. Fiona, I agree, when it is understood, it feels slightly crazy why we didn’t previously understand this about thoughts not being our own, we live and operate in such a dense world.

  343. I loved your blog Adrienne, you really brought home the fact that we are not the originator of our thoughts, hence why someone on the other side of the world can come up with the same thought or idea. I feel it is very humbling and takes away the arrogance of owning our thoughts and ideas.

    1. Yes very humbling indeed Alison. It makes you consider that it might be true that there is a mental plane, as introduced by Serge Benhayon, that we can all access no matter where we are on the planet.

      1. The responsibility that comes with that is huge of course as this would mean that we do not just draw from that plane but feed it too.

    2. I like this too about what Adrienne has mentioned, that we are not the owners of our thoughts and the fact that other people can have the same and similar thoughts even perhaps on the same time shows that we are like radiostations receivers of thoughts.

    3. Maybe this also explains why we often think of specific people when they are in a time of need or before something happens to them. I have experienced this with relatives who live overseas and have felt impulsed to call them, then after a few weeks they died, unexpectedly. It’s as thought I’ve been sent a message that if I want to speak with these people, now is a good time to do it.

  344. We are not the ‘owners’ of our ideas, but we are the owners and responsible for the choices we make, what thoughts we run with, and our consequential behaviour.

    1. Well said Jenny, the only choice is what quality of thoughts we choose to allow in – which is determined by the choices we make and the way that we live.

  345. Knowing that we do not think as in creating things out of nothing, changes our whole lives. It is then about where do my thoughts come from instead of what a great idea we made ourselves.

    1. Yes I agree Lieke, it does bring to the fore the choices we make with our thoughts, which ones we choose to act on or run with. And so rather than making thinking about being an individual and having an identity it becomes about what source am I connecting with and what effect is that having..?

      1. Yes Fiona and that brings in responsibility for what we are aligning to and then are expressing.

    2. Yes it is amazing how we can create things out of nothing, think up whole scenario’s that aren’t even real and which often put us into an anxious state, which of course exhausts us. How great to get to a point of noticing these thoughts as they come in and cutting them off before they can take a hold. Certainly save a whole heap of energy that way!

      1. Absolutely Jeanette. Knowing we do not think and that it is just an alignment to an energy that then delivers us our thoughts makes us able to be aware of those unsupportive thoughts and then choose to not give our power of them. Instead of not being aware of the fact that there are thoughts that are harming, delaying and exhausting us because they are not true.

  346. There are so many phrases in history that highlight the fact we can be choosing a different energy to connect to, like he is beside himself, he is not himself today, give me a moment to collect my thoughts, he has lost the plot and I do not know what got into him, these plus a lot more sayings that share the same sentiment are a part of our history, so it is not difficult to understand we do not think! We can only choose the energy where the thought come from once we know we have a choice.

  347. Thank you Adrienne for a beautiful blog, one I can deeply associate with for two reasons. One – I have worked with radio systems as part of my former work so the symbolism is clear and easily understood. Two – I have recently started, particularly when cooking, to trust the thoughts that ‘appear’ saying to me ‘it’s time to check the stove’, regardless of the fact that I know it should take a certain time to cook, and that I have set a timer to tell me when the food is done. These thoughts obviously come from somewhere as I’m usually busily engaged on another activity, they just drop in – something other than my brain has received the message, crystal clear.

    1. I love what you share here Frank as we all know that phenomena – the question is, do we trust it and live according to it as you do when you are cooking? I would say mostly not, as there is an element in us that wants to be in control of things. However I get the feeling it would serve us tremendously if we did.

    2. I am becoming a lot more accustomed to picking up these kind of messages too Frank. It must be because we are looking after our ‘towers’ with a lot more care and also bothering to listen and act on their messages. There definitely seems to be an inner knowing and what’s more a knowing of which station the airwaves are coming from.

  348. Whenever I make unloving choices, the thoughts that precede and follow are always unloving. When I take care in my movements and choices, then this changes the quality of my thoughts.

  349. Thoughts can be so destructive and toxic – if I am not the one who created them but received them, how do I change the thoughts then? I have to re-adjust the receiver, my body. And no matter how great your receiver is – nothing beautiful comes out of it if your loudspeakers are not great as well. That means: we have to express. So: a body that is able to let love come through is key, but then we also have to express it. This goes hand in hand.

    1. Yes Sandra there is a whole science to moving, holding and clearing our bodies so as to configure them to receive the type of energy that will give us the more loving and joyful thoughts and to make it easier to allow this energy to flow through us and out to others with no adulteration or reduction.

  350. ‘But what if the other part to Einstein’s understanding is that we don’t actually create our level of thinking, we receive it, that is: we only think we think.
This is a game changer that explains so much of our behaviours, choices, and everything from our crazy thoughts to our profoundly amazing ones.’ – How often have we heard the phrase ‘I don’t know what got into me’.

  351. I love the analogy of the tower. I have found this to be true for myself. Whenever I over strain myself during a normal working day I find it difficult to get back into my normal rhythm of being joyful, content and open. I find when my body is a ‘wreck’ it is difficult to think positive thoughts or feel good about myself. Instead using my mental energy to think of any short cuts to make my existence possibly better. This process leaves me more drained.

Everyone knows when you feel good you have amazing thoughts and ideas come through and when your body feels awful not so great ideas and thoughts can come through.

In all I have discussed what if you are a person who has a un-maintained tower? …does a good signal pass through to initiate repairs?
There are many questions to be asked but at this stage all we need to worry about is maintaining our tower and the rest will be received in time 😉

    1. I think there is a step missing here – yes the maintenance of how we are is super important and we pick the signal loud and clear… but its also important to discern the quality of the signal itself. Is that signal calling for humanity to be more, or is it suggesting that we are enough already?

      1. Agreed Luke – more often than not we are unwitting puppets for forces and energies that underly much of what is normal in society. We always have a choice, but too often we take a well trodden path, even though it is well known that it leads to illness and disease (just take the example of smoking or drinking!).

      2. Like someone who is lost, trying to find their way, they come back in a circle to the same spot and realise what a waste all that effort was in going in the wrong direction.

    2. I love that you bring the body in here and its importance as the receiver – obviously a dodgy radio station will not be able to pick up the frequencies we want it to pick up.

  352. Adrienne, this is brilliant. You have made it pretty clear with your wonderful step by step unfolding that we don’t think, that we think we think and that we can actually notice what we think and choose whether to go down the avenue of those thoughts or not. I intend to be much more aware, not only of my thoughts, but specifically the ways in which I use my ‘transmitter’ in order to be the receiver of a clearer quality of thought.

  353. Wow, what I can say immediately is that the thought that we are not thinking opens a much grander world than the very constricted idea of us being thinkers ourselves. It feels grand to allow thoughts like this – thank you!

    1. It really does open up questions if we accept our thoughts are not our own and that we receive them. We would then have to accept that we are part of the Universe and not just isolated to this planet.

  354. So clearly written Adrienne, that we are receptors of information not originators of thought, it’s obvious when explained simply in this way. What goes round comes round, there is nothing new under the sun.

  355. Love this analogy Adrienne which is so relatable and you clearly show the responsibility we all have for the quality of our thoughts and how they impact on us and others. ‘Once we take up a thought and express it in word or deed, its effects can clearly be seen and felt as they play out in ways that leave us or another feeling less, or deepens the responsibility and care we bring to ourselves and others.’ No-one would question the need to look after a metal construction like a radio tower but we so often do not pay the same attention to our bodies but as you so clearly demonstrate this is key to maintaining the quality of what we are receiving and thus outputting to ourselves and others. True responsibility personified.

  356. I enjoyed the way you led the reader through the process of thinking and reminding us that thoughts ‘come to us’ and are ‘not from us’.

  357. To think that we think is a very arrogant stance to take. I know I love to think that I have come up with a great idea and want to claim it as my own. It is so humbling to know that we never have an original thought but that it comes from a pool of energy that we choose to align to.

    1. Yes Mary Louise, I find it the same. So, instead of trying to have a better thought than the next person, the conversation becomes ‘what pools of energy’ are there, and how can we determine which pool we are drawing from. A far wiser focus.

    2. Yes, embracing that we are not the creators of our thoughts is humbling and hugely equalising. It’s huge in fact, with the global race of companies and individuals to out-smart one another, out-invent, out-discover and out-profit one another it exposes the game that all this competition for intellectual supremacy actually is.

While some people may have more highly developed academic skills in particular areas than others, the thoughts they have access to are never a testament of their ‘smarts,’ but to the way that they live.

    3. Its taken me a long time to drop the arrogance of ‘thinking’ I was the one coming up with all the ideas, but I’ve heard before from many different sources that there is no such thing as an original idea, so it is just that arrogance that stops me from paying attention to the source of my ideas.

    4. Instead of having to constantly come up with new and fresh ideas (which is exhausting), all I have to do is guarantee the quality of how I am living and then I have access to a rich unquenchable well of inspiration.

  358. The stories of people doings things that are out of character are plentiful; we can all pull up our own past lists of these actions. What channel are we tuned into at the time? This is something we don’t need to think about… because we already know!

    1. Well said Steve, how often do we say “what has gotten into you?” – what if in truth a different energy is running the show, causing them to act out of character?

  359. “Thoughts come ‘to’ us, not ‘from’ us”,our lives would change if we were to live this truth.

    1. Beautifully and simply said and so true, in that thoughts do come ‘to’ us and not ‘from’ us and it would certainly be a complete game changer if all of humanity truly knew and felt this as well as lived this truth. Even though I know this to be an absolute fact and true I still catch myself where I ‘think’ I was the one that had certain thoughts!

    2. This is the simple truth Mary-Louise. So in what ways do we care for ourselves so that the thoughts that come to us are loving ones?

    3. Yes, and we would need to take responsibility for which pool of consciousness we are aligning with, and expressing.

      1. Yes, Jenny and if we consider that there is such a pool where we draw our thoughts from, the question arises who is feeding this pool with thoughts in the first place? So do we not then have a responsibility what we think because every thought we will give energy to will be multiplied and placed back into the pool for another to draw from?

    4. And woudn’t that be amazing MaryLouise. All of those beliefs and thoughts of shyness, worthlessness, not measuring up etc. are all part of the greater illusionary expression of our life here on planet earth that does not truly belong to us – it seems that these dark thoughts are just that, dark thoughts that come entwined and tangled within energy that flows through us constantly, however the joy is that we can choose which energy we will align with, the energy of the Fiery consciousness, of Love from our deepest and truest selves or the one that is not so, that is the consciousness of the astral plane the breeding ground for all those emotional reactions that we have come to know so well and possibly where we think we think from.

  360. I agree Mary – this needs to be the corner stone to our lives and changes everything

  361. If we don’t truly think, how can we ‘think about thinking’? The energy we use to think will be the same of that of the thoughts that come through us but are not ‘of’ us – not true.

  362. I remember seeing a documentary many years ago about near death experiences (NDE), and an experiment that was conducted where they actually caused an NDE with a patient and monitored their brain activity during it. I cannot remember the particulars of how they realised this, but they (unexpectedly) discovered that consciousness was being received by the body, not generated by it.
That is paradigm shattering in itself, but what is presented in this blog takes it to the next step: If we are receiving our consciousness what we think, what channel are receiving from? Where are our thought coming from? What is clear is that there is a choice here which we have control over. It is not a case of being a passive receiver, but a decision is made on a continual basis as to what channel we are choosing to run ourselves with. Thank you for presenting this, Adrienne.

    1. Very interesting Naren, and a great point – and we can never just be a passive receiver, there is always a choice, and what we choose depends on our quality of being.

      1. That choice is the place that most are afraid to go, because with it comes the responsibility of choosing and the realisation of the choices made in the past. But that choice is the only place that we can go, and that responsibility is one of choosing our inescapable path to evolution.

      1. It is probably the most important question, Simon. For everything we base our life on is determined by that choice.

  363. Beautifully written Adrienne, a very ingrained concept questioned and explained with ease and clarity. It has been very freeing to feel the difference in quality of thoughts when I choose to pay careful attention to the quality (or way) I am with myself. The more I get used to reminding myself that it is not me thinking, the more fun I have with the random thoughts and the easier it is to make responsible choices.

    1. Rosanna I’ve had that experience as well, from being completely bemused with fighting “my thoughts” to having an amusing time with them knowing they are not mine. Yet it’s still easy to fall back into the trap of thinking I think, only to be woken up again to the fact I don’t think.

      1. This also highlights how our choices impact the quality of our thoughts, which impacts our health.

  364. Totally agree with you Marika, I keep coming back to Fire and Prana, for in truth there are two frequencies we can align to, one is in flow with who we naturally are and the other contra.

  365. Initially to conceive the idea that we are not the originator of our own thoughts appears as if we have no freedom and are controlled but in fact it is the opposite. If it is true we are not the originator but believe that we are, then we are in total illusion are in in truth totally controlled. On the other hand if we know that we not the originator but can choose the quality of our thoughts and through that choice can choice can either ones that enhance us or harm us what other choice would we choose but the ones that benefit us. Therefore that is far more freeing than having thoughts that result in harmful and unloving consequences, which is the present case with the belief when we believe are the originator of our own thoughts.

    1. So true Jonathan having spent years being controlled by my thoughts and endless hours lost in my mind recognising that my responsibility is only to look after the quality I am maintaining the vessel of reception in has brought true freedom.

  366. Adrienne, I so enjoyed reading your blog and the analogies of towers, receptors, etc. and the fact that we are re-learning that we are all connected in this vast space by energetic waves of distinctive qualities. Your expression telling the story of the two foodies reminded me of a far off time when in primary school when we were learning about the two amazing explorers who doggedly fought to be the first person to the North Pole, I remember wondering how it could possibly be that two people would suddenly and separately find themselves competing on such an adventurous journey at the exact same time. Wouldn’t it be amazing if the education system taught from very early on about energy and the fact that we are seemingly not the instigators of our thoughts. We are re-learning much as we re-visit the Ageless Wisdom Teachings as shared by Serge Benhayon at the Universal Medicine presentations.

    1. I wonder if we are fed ideas that match the degree to which we need to be tantalised in order to be successfully distracted from our true purpose?

  367. We’re going to think something, we are always thinking, so it makes sense that we look after ourselves to give ourselves access to the most loving thoughts possible. When I look at it this way, like the radio antenna, it makes it much easier to understand the importance of self care and making every move about a quality and a valuable expression.

    1. True Stephen, we are always going to be thinking – but we can take care of ourselves in such a way that we can actually choose the quality of the thoughts we have access to, rather than be at the mercy of whatever comes our way.

  368. What a brilliant, thought provoking/expanding blog, just loved reading it, thank you, Adrienne. ‘Is there a way of knowing the type of frequency we are tuned into?’ …. yes, there is, by feeling the quality in our body. I know when I’m feeling a little ‘off’, I start to doubt myself and suddenly all sorts of crazy notions start coming to me, I know they’re not true and yet for a moment I can sometimes entertain the possibility that maybe they could be, which paves the way for me to feel hurt, unless I choose to return to me. Conversely, feeling the love and joy that I am, my thoughts are uplifting, loving, confirming, expanding …. pretty awesome actually.

  369. I have often spoken to patient’s in hospital and also to my colleagues, about how unruly the thoughts are that we can have. No one has disagreed, to date. But we have not yet questioned them, their quality or where they come from. I certainly didn’t before I came to Universal Medicine. Even now I can still get caught up in the identification of thinking that I do think.

  370. A great blog Adrienne. If we really sat and observed the thoughts we have and also the quality of them and how they leave us feeling and others we would begin to question there origins. When we consider this even more deeply it seems crazy that we would hold our mind higher than our body, especially when our mind is actually not a part of the body.

  371. It’s like when 2 people say the same thing at the same time. Often we call this coincidence, but as you say Adrienne we are definitely on the ‘same wavelength’ more that we ‘think’.

  372. This is a great article Adrienne, a showstopper and something for us to deeply consider and to deeply ponder not from trying to work it out thou but by feeling this from our bodies.

  373. What determines the quality of the thoughts we receive? Most definitely the answer is in how we choose to move and hold our body in movement. The quality that we hold and express ourselves in determines the quality of the impulses and thoughts that follow, which then becomes what constitutes our lives.

  374. Your list of questions are awesome – we remain stuck on certain frequencies for a long time until someone comes along and illuminates the way for us, offering a possibility of more. We all do this for each other all the time, but Serge Benhayon is the master of offering the possibility of true illumination for us all.

  375. A brilliant piece of writing Adrienne! You have brought such an apt analogy (well, tuned in to a great way for us to relate to this energetic truth 😉 as the radio transmitter, receiving and processing information that is then acted upon. We have free will but we must understand that we can choose only within the frequency of thought we have chosen by our behaviour and movement. Ultimate freedom and responsibility in one.

  376. Very cool blog Adrienne and love the way you walk us through the steps, I trusted the logical way you laid it out for me. I have found the same with friends choosing names of their children years ago, everyone would think they had come up with something so original only to find it was suddenly a really popular name and there were 4 other children with the same name in your child’s class! Whoever is feeding the thoughts must have such a laugh watching us all think we have come up with something unique! Time to discern where the thoughts are coming from!

    1. This is so true Lucy, I have found the same with friends choosing names of their children years ago, everyone would think they had come up with something so original only to find it was suddenly a really popular name and there were 4 other children with the same name in your child’s class!’ I have seen this happen a lot, what a great example!

    2. Yes, Lucy, I remember the child naming phenomena occurring when I was pregnant. And so it is with various other trends that humanity adopts wholeheartedly for a time, only to discard it and move on to the next big thing when it is no longer fulfills a need.

  377. A profound and cleverly written proposition to ponder over… and consider that the only choice then is to look after ourselves to be able to tune into a more loving frequency and all that comes with that.

    1. True Samantha, how we choose to live prepares us for the quality that we are receptive to – positive or negative, the choice is always ours.

  378. This is a definite game changer…but did I think that or was that something I received…either way, you are asking me to be less attached to what I think are my thoughts and more responsible for which of these I run with and which I dismiss.

    1. Responsibility is definitely the key word, for running with and acting upon thoughts we shouldn’t could cause great harm to both ourselves and others.

    2. This is precisely what I feel also Joel, and it is then simply super important that we really understand that we always have a choice of what we allow our minds to run with.

    3. Joel it really is and about responsibility, which thought we let in and not to be attach to them,

    4. Discernment seems to be key here. This morning I received an unwanted pop song in my internal head set. Recognising this I could remove it by coming back to my body and adjusting my movement. Changing the dial, so to speak.

      1. How do those songs stick in there!!! love how you changed channels back to regular programing 🙂

    5. I’m feeling like we are being asked to apply the same energetic discernment when it comes to our thoughts as we do to the energetic integrity of whatever is going on around us and whenever we have interaction with other people.

      1. yup, that seems to be where we are going, as above so below, as on the inside so to on the outside…

  379. Love the mind-boggling quality of this blog Adrienne!
What an opportunity to look at the quality of our thoughts and the fact that we have a choice what to think. To choose to simply notice whatever comes into our minds which leads to the next choice of what happens next, eg, join the thoughts on a meandering journey away from us and what is, right now, or live and move in such a way as to ensure the quality of our thoughts are such that they are supportive not only for us but of everyone.

    1. ‘The responsibility for understanding these thoughts are not us is why we have avoided this knowing, the onus is on us to then live in a way that has integrity and honouring of our body.’ Yes Ariana self abuse would be a thing of the past if we took true responsibility for maintaining our vessel of communication and the quality we choose to live in. For me I can still have the arrogance that what I think (I think!) and do at home does not affect anyone else.

    2. Hear, hear Ariana! So true . . . “It’s time to step it up and live true responsibility” . . . so very very true. Indeed and how arrogant to think we think! Great blog Adrienne.

    3. Nicely put Ariana. Doesn’t leave much that’s truly ours, does it? Which is, as you correctly identify what freaks us out. It also exposes the extent to which we are in fact instruments, vessels… with it being up to us as to what kind of material we choose to tune into and pour forth.

    4. Absolutely Ariana and living true responsibility then means caring for our body, being present and aware of the quality of our movements and making choices that will further the clarity of reception of our tower.

    5. Too true, a bumper sticker could be good. “Do you think you think? You only think you think”

      1. Ha ha! Very cool Jeanette – may however could cause mayhem in the city – a few car crashes when people read such bumper stickers.

  380. The expansion we have once we see that we are not the owners of our ideas also allows the world to be more spherical and inclusive of all, that is very cool. Whereas if we look at it from the point of view that we own all of our thoughts it keeps us separate from the all. This is a great blog Adrienne thank you so very much.

    1. This is super important Kelly as it truly allows us to understand that we are here to be and work together in all our movement and interactions and that we are never not all together.

      1. Yes absolutely Amina. We are always one part of the all, which is very cool. Its also true with our bodies being made up of different particles, just like every other person on the planet, we are always connected no matter what.

      2. Yes, we are here to work together in brotherhood to evolve. Therefore, it’s super important for us to be mindful of the quality we’re living in, and consequently, the thoughts we’re attracting. The more we are able to live in the fullness of who we are, the more we allow the hierarchy to earth their support for the evolution of all mankind.

    2. Beautiful point Kelly, when we realise that we can never own a thought, just receive it and broadcast it, it transforms how we work together. In effect this challenges our concept of “intellectual property”, because we cannot lay claim to owning a thought, but we can utilise this awareness to enormous effect when we focus our attention on the quality of the station we are tuning into and the choice is simple: one that empowers humanity to evolve and work in true brotherhood (well worth claiming) or one that champions the individual and fosters separation.

      1. I once asked Serge Benhayon a question regarding Shakespeare. I don’t recall the question but I do remember his answer – that I refrain from trying to ‘own’ a knowledge of Shakespeare. That response feeds into this conversation. Shakespeare’s work is there for all to feel. Intellectual knowing of it is not 1) not needed and 2) separative. And probably 3) impossible!

      2. I love how you’ve expressed this Rowena, that is the choice each of us can make with the awareness that we do not own the thoughts that come in. We can either indulge in them and keep ourselves as an individual or we can clock the quality we go in and thus choose a quality of thought that keeps us open and aligned with everyone and not just caught in the drama of self.

      3. So true Rowena, ‘when we realise that we can never own a thought, just receive it and broadcast it, it transforms how we work together.’ The question is do we choose a station, ‘that empowers humanity to evolve and work in true brotherhood (well worth claiming) or one that champions the individual and fosters separation.’

    3. ‘The expansion we have once we see that we are not the owners of our ideas also allows the world to be more spherical and inclusive of all’ … very true, Kelly. Without ownership we are open to input and collaboration with others and rapidly ‘the’ idea can evolve to be something so much greater than we ever anticipated.

      1. It is only through our working together that can we be united as one. Thinking that we think is a sure way to keep us separate and working apart as it promotes individualism.

  381. Yes I agree Adrienne, we may think we think but I know it’s when I am disconnected, in automatic, ahead of, or in some way in distraction from myself then I am allowing gaps for another energy to come in and rule my thoughts (often seeming out of the blue) and things can become complicated. But when I remain with how I am being that is, in my conscious presence, then my mind remains clear and focused I simply know what is needed next and everything ticks along without effort and runs smoothly. The difference between the radio tower (the body) being neglected and the radio tower being responsibly attended to at all times is, everything operates well without the breakdowns or the complications. I love the analogy of the the radio tower and our bodies.

    1. Great comment deidremedbury, I love the way you have expressed here the difference between living with the complications of neglect and disconnection and the flow of connection and attentiveness. . . “I simply know what is needed next and everything ticks along without effort and runs smoothly.”. . .as this is exactly how life flows if we are tuned in and taking responsibility for our own radio tower.

  382. I just love everything about this, awesome blog Adrienne. Being the recipients and in living in knowing or understanding of this is hugely empowering, especially in contrast to the opposite way in which we think we think and are thus left to own our thoughts which can lead to hardness or self destructive thoughts to follow.

    1. Consistently allowing negative thoughts to run our bodies and rule our choices is EXHAUSTING. If am finding without an absolute commitment to connection with our body everyday this is what we allow.

      1. Absolutely agree with you Abby, it is totally exhausting to choose to allow negative thoughts not only enter, but run our bodies and influence our choices.

    2. Do we truly stop to consider what is going on… both when we find ourselves in a dark place with a head full of worthlessness and self-flagellation… or equally when we are inspired and full of it? Its not the easiest thing to do, but this blog gives us the opportunity to have some perspective. To see that we are choosing to tune our antenna a particular way, and it is in this that I find the livingness so powerful in helping me tune into the right channel more and more.

  383. I totally get what you are presenting here Adrienne, and in the past I wouldn’t want to… because I wanted to own what I had said, I wanted to be recognized by what I did or for the blog I wrote but I have had proof over and over that it is not me, it is what transmits through me that is amazing… and the more I get the me, and myself out of the way, the more amazing things are then able to come through me as a transmitter.
I have now had experiences of re reading things I have written and I sit in awe and in appreciation knowing that there was something much more than just me that wrote it.

    1. It’s interesting that many artists and musicians have over the centuries spoken of a muse or sources of inspiration external to themselves. Though there, as with everything, it’s a matter of discerning exactly what one is transmitting.

  384. Awesome blog Adrienne, what comes to mind is when you have a bad ariel and signal and you can’t pick up a good connection to the radio…. it is the same for us…. if we don’t care for ourselves then our connection gets rusty and therefore what we receive and transmit reflects that.

    1. Great analogy Rosie. It is our responsibility to look after the aerial we have been given (our bodies) that allows us to connect to the radio, and tune into the higher frequencies. If we allow it to rust then our signal will be bad, and we will no longer be able to receive or transmit sounds.

      1. A great analogy Rosie, and I love what you add here Susie, beautifully portrayed.

    2. This is so true Rosie, I used to have a very old car radio and what I could receive was mostly fuzzy and crackly and there were only a couple of stations that I could pick up – neither of which felt great, this is a great anology to having a radio ariel that works well and can pick up all frequencies so that we then have a choice between which one’s will tune into.

      1. Yes and as you have shared, if the ariel is rusty then you don’t really have much to choose from.

    3. Yep, rusty thoughts, a rusty body and… a rusty quality of life. whereas if we do deeply care and call into account the thoughts we bring in, questioning them instead of indulging in them, that rust turns to pure gold — and that’s the quality we can live in day in, day out.

      1. Yes, and then not only do we benefit as we have good reception and receive it all..but what we transmit also is beautiful for everyone on the other end.

    4. I agree Rosie. The other day when I was skyping with friends at times the connection was very bad and my voice not understandable. As soon as I became very present and focused within my body they were able to hear my voice again.

  385. Since the year dot I had always felt that I was like a radio station receiving thoughts but didn’t know how to change the frequency and at times got identified with the thoughts and thought they were who I was whilst on a deeper level knowing they were not.

Over the last 12 years I have attended numerous presentations and read books by Serge Benhayon where he forensically and scientifically presented how we only think we think, the consequences of that and very simple techniques that allow us to change our thoughts.

What was once a vague thought has now become a living reality and understanding for me. With enormous thanks and appreciation to Serge Benhayon for exposing this and so many other truths of life and providing us with the freedom and tools to choose which energy we align to and as a result the quality of thoughts that are available to us.

    1. Oh yes Nicola – I too experienced what you have so well expressed. I too knew I was a receiver but did not know how to change the frequency or fully see that there were thoughts that were running me. This truth that we only think we think, presented by Serge Benhayon and so beautifully expressed here in Adrienne’s blog, uproots and exposes the illusory the way we have been living life on earth. We have all been totally owned by the way we have let imprisoning thoughts that are not ours drop their seeds into us and create a false map. Once we know how to change the frequency we can choose the map of heaven instead.

    2. How lost are we as a race of people when we strut around the place professing to have written a particular book or article, to have composed a piece of music, to have designed a building, to have come up with an antidote, a painting or a poem? How far from the truth are we that we identify so absolutely with the things that we produce as if it is us that has actually given birth to them? When the contents of Adriennes blog becomes common knowledge, the world we live in will be a very different place, a much humbler place.

  386. Adrienne, I love how you use an item or construction that we as a race have externalised in form, such as a receiving tower or radio/TV receiver – to show us how our system actually works i.e. that we are receivers. It makes it very concrete and accessible. Just as you did with the graceful crane in an earlier blog.

    1. Yes Lyndy, I totally agree – Adrienne has a beautiful way with presenting what others can make incredibly complex, in a “very concrete and accessible” way. I really enjoyed that earlier blog too.

  387. If we are receivers of thoughts and not the owners of them, the quality of that which we receive will be determined not only by the quality of the body that receives them, but also by the quality with which this body moves through space. Our every move is either made with the all that we are, or the all that we are not, and as such will either pull in and align to all that is love, or all that is not this love. Thus the key to what we think is in how we move.

    1. ‘Thus the key to what we think is in how we move.’ This is a complete game changer and if our education system focussed on this we would immediately drop all the constant testing and instead teach children about energy, which they are far more aware of than most adults, and look at the quality of everyone’s movements throughout the day leading to more harmonious and supportive schooling environment.

    2. Liane, this really does blow all the positive thinking, power of the mind, mindfulness, etc, etc that focus on techniques and control of the mind, totally out of the water.

    3. Liane, great further expansion to the blog. How do we tune into those thoughts that are expansive to our wellbeing? The Will to do so.

    4. Our movements and how we move are key, ‘Our every move is either made with the all that we are, or the all that we are not, and as such will either pull in and align to all that is love, or all that is not this love.’

  388. What stood out so clearly today is that if you are experienced any of these – “cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating” it can be a clear indicator of which frequencies you are tuned into. Thank you.

  389. “…thoughts come ‘to’ us, not ‘from’ us”.

This is such a simple truth, yet if we are in any way owned by the thought that we own our thoughts, then we will not hear the simplicity on offer here and choose instead to override it with complexity in order to mask the fact that we are addicted to the lie that we own knowledge and therefore pride ourselves on being the creators of our thoughts and not the receivers of them.

  390. What a brilliant, exposing and playful look at the simple truth that we are not the creators of our thoughts but merely receivers of them. When looked at in this light, it makes total sense to tend to the quality of our tower (body) in order to receive the best channels (source of impulsing energy) and clearest reception. Although in this case there are only 2 channels to choose from: all that is love, or all that is not. Knowing this, why stick with analogue (not-love) when digital (love) is on offer? Humanity is more than ready for this upgrade for the time is long overdue to collectively live Love and nothing less. Our world is not what we thought it to be…the game is over.

  391. This blog brings a realness to life and the fact that are thoughts are not ours but energy coming through us allows a responsibility and change in how we think we think. This brings true humbleness to ourselves and appreciation for each other and the importance to our choices in every moment.

  392. This is so very worth taking responsibility for and committing to – being a tower that is vital and willing to tune into, receive and transmit the love and joy available for humanity. What a wonderful way to choose to start my day. Thank you Adrienne.

  393. In light of what is revealed here how absolutely off the mark is the philosophical declaration ‘I think therefore I am’? ‘When I think I am not myself’ would be a more accurate statement.

  394. I love the use of analogies, as it gives me a tangible and relevant marker to come back to. Just the image of radio towers will now remind me of the thoughts that flow through me, not from me. I felt this sentence, that we are “not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence, rudely suggesting that we are not special, nor different, nor brilliant, but somehow passive, mute and dumb”, held a lot of answers in it, for why we don’t want to give up the idea that we think. We don’t want to know we are puppets of energy, open to manipulation through our arrogance and need for recognition.

  395. When ever I see something in the world or think about something in a negative way, my first action is to change my body, then I can think “what was it that I saw that I didn’t want to see so I changed it to mean something comfortable, familiar and lacking understanding?” If we don’t choose our natural stream of awareness (our hearts) then by not choosing that we have chosen something else, and just like a radio whatever is streaming through will just stream through, unless we change it back to our hearts.

  396. It is astounding, and initially very challenging, to grasp the fact that we only think we think. I have been pondering recently how this plays out in relation to food and how often food thoughts can come in and how these have nothing to do with my body and what it actually needs. Life is much simpler, I’m discovering, when we take a body and movement-focused approach to life. The thoughts that come in can be challenged and dismissed.

  397. This is a great and powerful call Adrienne to deeply consider that our bodies are designed to receive and transmit energy through what we surrender to. It is so true that it is through us and not from us that our thoughts and actions come and so calls to question what is it that we have surrendered to and in effect are bringing to this world? Is it Love or is it all that is not of this Love? Our bodies are a vessel that enhouse our body of Love, our Soul, through which the activity of our Divine Will is expressed. When we tune into our bodies we are able to learn, develop our awareness and then come to know what energy we are in fact receiving and transmitting as nothing truly goes unnoticed, as the body always knows. It is through our knowing, and not our thinking that we move in a way that is truly powerful, that is with the Light of Truth and Love, and as such an embodiment of who we truly are.

  398. To be reminded in this way that we are receivers of energy and information, rather than the generators of such information is a great revelation and gift. Thanks Adrienne for your timely blog that reminds me to stay present to how I care for my receiver/body.

  399. Adrienne, the questions you posed in this blog really got me pondering. The one that caught my eye was ‘What determines the frequency we are tuned into?’ I know there are some days, regardless of what is going on, I can feel centered and able to cope with what ever the day brings. On other days I don’t want to get out of bed and feel less equipped to cope with even minor responsibilities. Great questions to ask and chat about.

  400. It’s so great to ‘receive’ articles such as this, where we can read about and talk freely on subjects that might not otherwise get any ‘airtime’. What you have expressed here Adrienne is similar to that which I have felt for a long time – ideas are but bits of ephemera we latch on to and run with, a phenomenon I saw frequently when I worked in advertising, an industry that trades in ideas. Often you’d see the same so-called ‘unique’ concept pop up elsewhere. It explains too how fads take hold – ideas that spread like a virus.

  401. Brilliant blog Adrienne thank you – very thought-provoking 😉 But seriously this is huge to consider that we don’t create our own thoughts but are responsible for what source we choose to connect to and express from.

  402. How much simpler and easy life would be if we all lived the fact, which deep down we all know – we are the recipients of thoughts which only come from one of two sources, divine love & God or not. Which one we choose is up to us.

  403. As far fetched as it may sound to some, it explains a lot to me. If I consider how I feel when, for example I’m having a ‘lazy’ day, perhaps spent a few hours in front of the TV compared to how I feel when I’ve been up early, done some exercise, a bit of work, perhaps cleaned out my cupboards etc, the difference is huge. In one scenario my body is slouched, I’m checked out and in TV zone, the other, my body is moving, I’m present in what I’m doing and I’m making a difference to my space. Tv scenario always always leaves me feeling a bit depressed, lethargic and unmotivated to do anything not to mention has me standing in front of both the fridge and the pantry several moments of the day. Moving scenario leaves me feeling more rejuvenated, having a sense of purpose and motivated. The difference is huge in how I am with my body in both cases, and hence the thoughts I receive are very different also.

  404. They key I am learning is to not attach to the thoughts you don’t want to have – that is part of our responsibility, to say no to them and not indulge in them.

    1. Yes, I am learning this too Gyllianrae – and not giving myself a hard time for thinking things that I ‘shouldn’t’ be thinking. I don’t need to fight them. Knowing that thoughts are running through me and are not ‘of’ me makes a huge difference in discerning what is true and now is false.

  405. What a powerful blog Adrienne. “When we loosen our grip on thinking that we originate anything and start realising instead that as receivers of thoughts or consciousness, our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.” …… the truth of it so simply and clearly explained.

  406. I just love how You expressed this. Thank You. Better care for our amazing radio towers.

  407. ‘we tune into ideas rather than create them’ – I would definitely agree with this. There have been times in class where the kids and I are tuned in to the same so called frequency – for example last week during a group project, I walked past the house the kids were building and thought something similar to ‘ they could have a swimming pool’ – low and behold what have they added by the end of their lesson – a swimming pool – no such thing as coincidence. This is not the only example, I have had kids read the next part of the lesson or even further on, as in they know exactly what’s coming without any verbal or visual prompt or giveaway from me.

  408. I love your analogy of the tower Adrienne – so clear. Our responsibility is to look after, to maintain the tower – to oil, grease, make sure all the supports are in place and then stand in all our glory celebrating our amazing presence and the presence of all other towers. It is all about trusting g in God and being committed to presenting a vehicle through which the fine vibration of truth can be observed and heard.

  409. I really relate to what you’ve written Adrienne. The way I care for myself, and as a result other people now is far, far from how it used to be. When I drank alcohol, had late nights, ate foods that didn’t agree with me and basically didn’t look after myself as well as I could, I used to have very negative thoughts about myself, and judgemental thoughts of others and would have periods of depression. But since I’ve changed how I look after myself and have more love for myself, and others, those thoughts just don’t come like they used to. And the more I fine tune my self loving ways and how I live, my thoughts have changed ten-fold.

  410. This is a game changer – life changing actually to come to the acceptance and realisation that human beings are receivers of thoughts and not the originators of them – proven over and over again by the fact that people in different parts of the world can come up with the same discoveries. And that the quality of how we treat our bodies can determine the quality of the thoughts we are able to receive. For example, a rusted, broken or neglected radio tower wouldn’t receive the same quality as a well maintained one.

    1. Simply and concisely put Sandra. Perhaps after ‘Expression is everything’ should come ‘quality is priority’!

      1. and ‘observe and not absorb’. I have just realised that this applies to the thoughts that I receive, so it applies as much to myself as it does to what’s around me.

    2. Yes Sandra – well said, a game changer indeed. Accepting and realising this highlights the responsibility we all have to being aware of what it is we have chosen to align to and as such how we choose to care for our bodies. As whatever it is that we receive through our bodies is what we are transmitting to the world.

  411. There is a huge level of responsibility when we realise that we are indeed the receivers and transmitters of energy. The way we live, the way we move and the choices we make will all affect the type of thoughts that are being transmitted through this body. Knowing this as our truth, calls us to be accountable and takes responsibility to the whole next level.

    1. That really is responsibility to the nth degree, isn’t it – to be responsible even for our thoughts, those private things that are visible to no one? Dare I say… it’s almost unthinkable! But so spot on. What I love about all this though is we have been given the tools to master our thoughts – and it’s all in the wisdom of the body moving.

  412. “Thoughts come ‘to’ us, not ‘from’ us”. In accepting this there has to be a huge paradigm shift in the way that we see life. If we are not the creators of our thoughts then who or what is? We are presented here with an opportunity to really understand energy, how it works and why it is important to choose wisely the energy we are allowing through our bodies.

    1. Good point – and it suggests that doctoring our thoughts is not the answer but attending to and caring for the body is.

    2. Absolutely Elizabeth, this is huge. I recall the first time I heard this concept and whilst I felt it true in my body there was a part in my mind that squirmed to wonder what on earth this meant, as in, what does this mean for the individuality we have created, the self, the recognition and the world as we know it to be? Once I began to experience the distinct difference in the two qualities of thoughts that I am subject to, this supported my understanding through my own lived and scientific way of experience.

  413. How do we tune our body (receiver)? By the way we move and the quality of our activities. This can easily be experienced by everyone by just moving and doing things for some minutes with gentleness (literally making every move as gentle as possible), e.g. making the bed or a go for a walk or putting on some lotion and then observing the kind of thoughts and quality of thinking. You will recognise that the thinking aligns to the quality of movement. Same with moving in an aggressive, nervous or rushing way – the way of thinking again will adjust to the quality of the body.

  414. So what you are saying Adrienne is that if we care for our bodies it will affect the quality of our thoughts and the type of thoughts that we have? This is a responsibility as we don’t look after and consider our bodies in that way. Most often we are battling with thoughts, trying to change them when it’s actually the state of our bodies that affects the quality of our thoughts and so it makes sense that we are to pay much more close attention to the care of our bodies and what they are communicating – All of the Time.

    1. Good point – and it suggests that doctoring our thoughts is not the answer but attending to and caring for the body is.

  415. This would change very much our education systems, instead of training our mind to think in a certain way we would learn how to use and maintain our receiver to be super discerning and deliberate in choosing the frequencies we want to allow running through our circuits. Finally, we would learn to make full use of our body´s capacity to recognize and process energy.

    1. No wonder we are such delicate and sensitive beings! We are actually hard-wired to be delicate and sensitive so that we can discern energy in order to know exactly the energy we have chosen to be in our bodies. There is therefore no such a thing as unawareness, just a choice to be not aware.

      1. Yes our sensitivity, our ability to sense is our greatest natural ability and when this is shut down or overridden we are left at the mercy of who knows what thoughts and energy to pass through us, hurting us and our bodies deeply. If we are here to be self-empowered, natural receivers of thought and true intelligence then we have nothing to lose but to live this now and begin to refill the ocean of energy in which we live with the quality that we want it to be.

      2. And hence the choice to be unaware is executed by the activity of thinking and hence overriding the knowing.

      3. Yes Alex – very true. And this has been one of my greatest stumbling blocks, letting the activity of thinking override the ‘knowing’. Even though I feel energy quite clearly and strongly, there is still a comfort default position in me that goes back to ‘thinking.’ I feel inspired to be more aware each time this happens.

    2. Absolutely Alex as there is far greater intelligence that is far greater serving that comes our awareness of connection to our bodies. Our education system would then be one that empowers and supports us to know and live the potential of what our bodies are truly and delicately designed for.

    3. As we would also make use of the mind as a receiver of energy. And who knows, we may even find a use for the vast portion of the human brain we are not yet accessing…

    4. That’s a big picture comment Alex. Our education would no longer be who can remember the most, or repeat some complex formula. Instead its about how consistent your signal input is, how quickly you can recover yourself when there are inevitably challenging times. How sensitive and open we can hold ourselves, rather than the protection that abounds.

      1. Wow, a school for once again becoming the divine beings we are by our very nature, a school for evolution.

  416. This brings a whole new importance to health and well-being, if the way that we care and nurture ourselves determines or has great bearing on the quality or the source from whence our thoughts come.

    1. And further world politics and economics would change with just each person self-caring and honouring the body. That is a new line of thinking in regards to the multitude of seemingly insurmountable problems.

    2. A greater responsibility also for the way in which we live and make choices that impact on us, our ability to receive and our interactions with all other things and everyone equally.

  417. Some may say this is crazy talk and a very hard concept to understand but to me it makes a lot of sense, I often have thoughts come into my head that I wouldn’t dream of entertaining and am often left wondering where the hell did that come from?

  418. Gosh, Adrienne, so much to ponder here. What huge responsibility we have to discern what thoughts we allow in and again the quality of these thoughts comes back to how we live in our bodies.

  419. Great topic, so it has nothing to do with positive or negative thinking, but really about what quality we are in and what do we choose in every moment: do we choose love or not love?

    1. That’s a great point Mariette. We are trained to think in terms of ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ thoughts and to be so ‘mindful’ that we end up having a ‘mind full’ of what is not truth! Opposites such as negative and positive exist on the same pole. That is, they come from the same source of energy, one that is not founded on what is true. The key is to look elsewhere and align to the source of energy that cannot lie for it is what we are made of and from – LOVE. When we are willing to express the love that we are, we align to and hence invite in more that is of this light. Thus, the quality of our thoughts is in our hands, or we could say, it is in our every cell.

      1. ‘We are trained to think in terms of ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ thoughts and to be so ‘mindful’ that we end up having a ‘mind full’ of what is not truth!’ So true Liane – being mindful just leaves us with a full mind of all sorts of complications. The body and it’s movements is where it’s at! And by ‘it’s’ I mean, the truth and our salvation from tired ways resisting the pull to be instead of racing around in our minds trying to feel who we are from the outside world. The body offers simplicity and connection, something we cannot get to by thinking.

      2. Yes – the fact that we think we think, really exposes which part of us is lying here.

    2. I’m with you Mariette….simply put. Do we choose love or not love?
As that is the thoughts we will have and the quality of being we will be in.

    3. So true Mariette, we like to focus on ‘positive thoughts’ and ‘positive affirmations’ but these don’t work, it is about the quality of the vehicle (body) and the quality we are in that determines the quality of the thoughts we receive.

  420. What a grant and simple way to look at our thinking. It makes so much sense and shows how complicated we make life by thinking we are thinking.

    1. Thinking we are thinking brings complexity that feeds the thinking, and so we think we are thinking even more!

      1. With thinking we can create worlds that have nothing to do with what is truly going on let alone bringing us any closer to each other.

      2. Totally Esther, when we create through thinking the division between us is assured – fact. No wonder there is so much conflict and drama in the world. This whole world of thought keeps then confirming its own existence. But then so does love and appreciation when that is chosen.

    2. The simplicity vs the complexity is very evident isn’t it, as one way of living moves rhythmically, spherically, ever-expanding and in great joy to be a wondrous equal part of the whole universe and it’s constant communication and the other brings in complexity, lineal, narrow thinking and a way of life that brings no true contentedness.

      1. Thinking we are thinking is a very narrow road we are treading on, one that has been laid in front of us with many a detour for delay.

      2. So well expressed Esther! ‘Thinking that we think’ keeps us ever circling in the labyrinth imagining that we are living life and ‘getting somewhere’. It is as you say such a detour from the glorious way – Road Gloria!

    3. So true Esther, we really do complicate life by thinking we are thinking. When we focus on the quality of our lived way we naturally start to simplify what otherwise would become complicated.

  421. If we are not our thoughts then this asks the mental health services to really reconsider what is going on for people mental with issues and the treatment there of. Too often people identify with their negative thoughts and, if they weren’t feeling bad enough, then believe themselves deficient in some way and that this, at some level, cannot be fundamentally changed as this is who they are; when really they have a choice in the quality of thoughts they are choosing. It would be a game changer for people and services to fully understand how to live in a way that maximises awareness of qualities so one can discern.

    1. By the very fact this discussion has begun, and its naturely felt here by so many, my feeling is the game is in fact changing. As we all begin to develop for ourselves our awareness of what it is we are aligning to in any given moment, the more we support each other’s discernment.

  422. I love the notion of ‘ Choosing not so much by content as by quality’ as this brings a more subtle and evolving way to feel our feelings. Choosing by content feels as though we are setting out to prove something from our head whereas when we connect to the quality we are sensing and feeling from within.

    1. To live by sense brings a great beauty and simplicity to living life and from here we are at one with the universe in its entirety, a stark contrast to living from an image or thought that keeps us locked or trapped in a way of thinking that thinks that is all there is to life.

  423. This blog is so necessary. So much competition exists between people for the next new idea- a kind of intellectual survival of the fittest, only the indispensable will survive and thrive in the job market. When actually we all can work together, choosing the quality of energy we would like to live in; one person brings through this energy for others to build on and so forth. There is no part of this process that is less or more important.

    1. This blog is extremely important for supporting true community Karin, we are not only given the gift of understanding further what our true purpose is here on earth but what responsibility we hold to our fellow human beings, our brothers and everyone we coexist with. Such a responsibility is not a heavy one but actually brings much joy and love into our lives as the currently lived way in separation from ourselves and thus each other is a deeply painful way to exist in the end.

  424. A great analogy Adrienne that describes the simplicity of us being vessels of energy and that our responsibility lies in the quality of our vessel and therefore the frequency we communicate with.

  425. I have to admit to being greatly resistant to the notion that I am not my thoughts, wanting to own them and the acholades that accompany the good ones – ie the ones that are recognised.

Growing up not being met for who I truly am I abandoned myself in search of recognition – being super talented at something or coming up with a bright remark, insightful observation, witty joke etc. So much investment in this- the heartache, the self doubt the hard work all to return to the beginning where I was with me and that felt lovely.

So the choice is clear. To be me and feel my essence, how lovely it is, how it does not depend on thoughts to be glorious; or to continue the fruitless obsession with gaining recognition and ownership of the ideas and thoughts that come through me.

  426. What you present is mindblowing (!) – imagine how much research there has been over the ages in how to control our thoughts, manage them, change them, and the simple answer is to move and be in a way that will make you receive a quality of energy that will give you a specific kind of thoughts. Many will not accept this because they want to own their thoughts, especially if you are considered smart or intelligent, but if the most intelligent people in the world cannot provide us the answers to what is going on in the world regarding weather patterns, illness, disease and so on then it’s a healthy thing to ask if they might be tuning into the wrong energy. However there seems to be one man, Serge Benhayon, that doesn’t have any problems in providing the answer to so called difficult or mysterious questions. Perhaps he has mastered how to keep his ‘radio tower’, to use your term Adrienne, neat and tidy.

  427. Thank you, Adrienne, for describing what our bodies are truly all about when you write “When we loosen our grip on thinking that we originate anything and start realising instead that as receivers of thoughts or consciousness, our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.” Simply, beautifully put.

  428. This is a great article, Adrienne. I tend to be quite hard on myself when I make a mistake or things aren’t going too well, and have experienced what you’ve shared about tuning into certain frequencies and thus receiving a whole bunch of self loathsome thoughts, some extremely abusive and hurtful – things I would normally never think or say. I have also experienced what it’s like to choose to tune into a different frequency – there have been times when I haven’t let these thoughts flood in, and instead gone for a walk, had a bath or looked after myself in some way as I find that when I change my movements then it is easier to tune into a more loving, respectful and unclouded frequency.

    1. This is a great offering Susie, in sharing it so it inspires the feeling of how simple it actual is to redirect any particular incoming that is not of love, and to not allow that current to continue of its own accord.

    2. This is a great and important sharing Susie, as I and no doubt many, many people have experienced the abusive thoughts and been trapped in thinking they are them and worse are using thoughts from the same frequency or sea of energy to get themselves out of them. What is offered here shows that not only do we not think, we can’t think ourselves out of a problem either; but moving in the quality of the frequency we truly want and the quality that we recognise deeply within ourselves as being truly us is our greatest and most supportive way to live and really move forward.

    3. I used to practice laughter yoga years ago and one of the things that we used to do in a group was shout positive slogans. We used this as a way to change any negative thoughts that we had, willing ourselves to change our thoughts. It did not make a difference in any way to the quality of my thoughts. I have also done what you do Susie and find that my thoughts are of a different quality when I am choosing to be caring and nurturing of myself in every way. So really our body is the key.

  429. Thank You Adrienne for your Reminder Of the simplicity Of thoughts And expression …And that all We need to do is tune our tower Of expression .

  430. This is profound for us to really accept because underneath the stubbornness and pride of us owning our thoughts and ideas and priding our presumed intelligence based on lineal thinking, we then have to see how much we’ve been fooling ourselves from living our enormous grandness. Leonardo Da Vinci wasn’t an elect special person and neither is anyone else. Every single one of us can tap into the Universal Mind if we were to make this choice. We don’t tend to because we love to think that we own our thoughts.

  431. Very true Marika — the reflection of wonder and innocence that we can all tune into again, it’s a case of tuning into that frequency of thought versus another of a far duller dampened quality.

  432. Thiis is brilliant Adrienne, our body as a frequency tower and our responsibility to care deeply for its maintenance so that it captures the awesome waves versus the nasty ones. It’s so simple yet profound, and the more we surrender to this truth the more we surrender to ourselves.

  433. Choosing the quality we want to live in affects so many areas of our lives including the thoughts that pass through us. To acknowledge that there are no original thoughts and we ourselves don’t create them will be anathema to some!

  434. To perceive that we are the receiver of thoughts rather than the originator of them is a paradigm shift of global proportions. You have explained this exceptionally well, Adrienne, in way that makes it understandable and plausible to those resistant to the concept.

    1. I agree Jonathan – this is a huge bite to chew and one that will shift the way we see intelligence in the world. We are not our thoughts, and this is not said in irresponsibility but rather a point of understanding that we are vehicles of expression before we are the expression. All we can take pride in is the quality of that vehicle and what it is able to receive, Love or everything that is not Love.

  435. So interesting to observe the quality of our thoughts Adrienne. I know that when I am still and feel connected to myself and aware of all around me, that the quality of the thoughts that come to me a far greater than when I am not feeling connected to me. The quality of my thoughts therefore, are a great marker of where I am at.

  436. Yes I agree Marika, and when they lose touch with this naturally loving way of being it becomes glaringly obvious to all.

  437. I used to do a lot of thinking, in fact, I used to walk or swim to think. Now I’m finding that the more I can connect with my body, the less I think, and the feelings often have a greater wisdom that is worth paying attention to. I still get random thoughts popping into my head and they are always a distraction from what I am actually doing, so it’s worth ‘clocking’ what’s going on in my head and then listening to my body to see what I was avoiding feeling.

    1. So true Carmel thoughts can be a great distraction to avoid feeling how we are abusing our bodies/receivers.

  438. What a great blog. The theory you present really does make sense as I have a times had thoughts and wonder ‘where did that come from?’. When I make wise and loving choices that support my body my thoughts will naturally align to this energetic state of being and are also wise and loving.

  439. Adrienne what a great way of explaining our thoughts…I love the comparison with TV and Radio waves and that like them we are a tower picking up signals and waves of thought only to express them out. The fact that these thoughts may not come from us is a startling thought as it begs the question, ‘where are they coming from?’ It adds a completely new dimension to the way we ‘think’ we live.

  440. Love it Adrienne! Most definitely a thought worth having. The more I sit back rather than being swept up with whichever next has entered, I’m beginning to take more of an observational approach to frequency, tone, etc, whereby allowing the space to consciously choose with which I allow and which to move on.

  441. “Just like a TV, radio or telephone, we don’t originate any of our thoughts or ideas but receive and then output them.” Adrienne having this awareness and understanding of how life works, of how we are receivers and not producers whilst challenging at first explains everything when pondered on. Choosing to make it an absolute known reality is another point though.

  442. Yes, Adrienne, I would say it’s definitely worth ‘thinking about’. Your analogy is so simple that it brings a clarity and sense to how we respond and react to life. When we choose the quality of our thoughts we begin to connect to an inner wisdom that allows us to feel what we are tuning into and the signal that we may be transmitting. The sensitivity and power of these signals is felt by everyone and we need to be responsible with what we transmit. Each tiny sound wave can impact – and impose on another delicate transmitter and we need to be aware of each moment as we proceed through our day. Thank you for such a beautiful blog.

  443. Absolutely Marika. Kids are a beautiful example of tuning in to the frequencies and then transmitting what comes through. I find that kids offer an amazing reflection of where the family is at.

  444. Adrienne – I appreciate how you have shared the possibility that we perhaps don’t think. And how you have compared this to a TV or radio – in the fact that we receive rather than create our thoughts. To me it makes sense that if everything is energy, then we choose the energy that passes through us, and that is essentially what our thoughts are. But the energy is not ours to begin with – and we are merely a vessel for what comes through. Yes it breaks the norm, but it also makes a lot of sense in the respect that we can have a thought that is exactly the same as another, and that sometimes we have crazy thoughts that come out of nowhere. It is absolutely worth an experiment in terms of how we treat our ‘tower’ and as a result, the quality of thoughts thereafter.

  445. If you have ever seen a well-known sculpture called “The Thinker”, this speaks well of the burden and weight of our thoughts, a huge bronze figure of a giant man who sits with his head propped up by his hand which in turn is propped up by his leg. It’s a rigid portrayal of the headiness of thought, the eternal conversation of thought, he is sitting, weary, inactive, laden – his body is locked off, unengaged, uninspired. In many ways it is a colossal marker of the separation humanity has so heralded.

  446. If I’m honest, I love to think. I can spend hours and hours on thinking. About myself, about the world, about people close and far from me. What I realised this morning under the shower – one of my favourite places to think – is that there’s a vast difference in thinking while being connected to my heart or when I’m thinking as an individual. When the thoughts are separative from my heart they still make a lot of sense (to me, ha ha), but the quality is totally different. When being connected I can seemingly have the same thoughts, but they’re never for me. They are always about serving. Actually a great marker to see where I’m at. A responsible marker too I feel.

  447. Adrienne, what you present in this article on thinking may bend the mind, but it expands the heart no-end!

  448. This truth that explodes the idea and illusion that we think we are thinking, is one of the single most important pieces of data that we need as human beings to break the attachment to individualism which constitutes our utter downfall and prevents us living the Sonship here on earth. Thanks for this wonderful blog Adrienne!

  449. Brilliant article Adrienne – deftly exposing what lays behind our attachment to our thoughts as being “ours” – “The idea of being a mere receptor, not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence, rudely suggesting that we are not special, nor different, nor brilliant, but somehow passive, mute and dumb.”. This attachment renders us so much less than what we truly are, for if we can let go of it, and embrace the fact that we are so much more than our thoughts…we open ourselves to receive and express so much more than we ever thought possible.

  450. Deeply divine blog Adrienne. I love the way you simplify matters making it clear that the only thing we have to do is to care for our receiving tower and be aware that the tower is the receiver of thought not by default but by design. This eliminates pride and ownership completely.

  451. In every moment we have a choice, to tune in to Fire FM, sound waves that naturally flow and confirmed who we are or we can tune into Prana FM, sound waves that jar with the bodies natural movements, and cement ill momentums that keep us separated from ourselves.

  452. ‘thoughts come ‘to’ us, not ‘from’ us, as we like to think’. This is so true, something Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine presented years ago. Recently I have been more aware and can feel the energy of thoughts coming in and that they are not coming from me. It is really important what you share in that the quality we are in, how we live and the choices we make every moment determine where the energy of our thoughts come from.

  453. Great thought provoking topic Adrienne! The more I see myself simply as a vessel for either love, the divine, or not love, the more I see how important the quality I live with is. Only then can a guarantee what energy precipitates through me. The more focus I give to my quality and love the more natural it becomes for me to express this way, rather than the current ‘normal’ we accept in society which is far from love.

    1. “The more focus I give to my quality and love the more natural it becomes for me to express this way.” This makes so much sense, the fact that we do not always live in honour of this awareness, and the many other non-sensical behaviours we live with every day shows that we are not always tapping to a source that provides true wisdom. And your comment James shows that we have a great responsibility how we choose to live.

      1. We sure do Golnaz, just like we do when we are children we are always observing and copying others and what we see. So if we are acting in an unloving way we are saying it is ok to others to also act in this unloving way. So our responsibility is huge.

    2. This is breaking it down to be very simple indeed James. What are the quality of my thoughts, love or not love – that is the question.

      1. And it really is that simple, even though I make it way too complicated at times! And if my thoughts are not love then what do I do about it. I can bash myself up – and add to the not loving energy or I can change the quality of energy I am choosing. I can do this through breath, The Gentle Breath Meditation is a great tool or I can move in a different more loving way – both are powerful I just have to feel what my body needs at the time.

    3. Absolutely James this was what came to me this morning too. This makes my responsibility towards my own vehicle, that is my body, paramount. As I become more sensitive to my surroundings, to the food I eat and the activities I engage in I can more easily discern what supports me or not in this regard. It is like everything matters and everything supports everything else to become of a higher quality when we so choose, and there are no mistakes just learnings, awesome.

      1. That is awesome Elaine. I also find how much one choice then effects the next choice I make, whether it be a loving or an unloving choice. The more I make loving choices the more my body supports me to continue to make them. I also find that when I make unloving choices, they can very quickly spiral out of control until I catch myself and then almost have to make myself come back.

  454. This really got me into feeling about thoughts Adrienne. Tuning in and receiving thoughts – no wonder then that so many times I’m about to contact someone or even have a passing thought of them when, the phone ring or an email/text is sent and guess what it’s them on the other end contacting me. Now to look after that tower keeping it well maintained so that thoughts are clear and in coming signals are received – loud and clear.

    1. Yes Marion looking after our radio towers and supporting them with love and care will leave us open to receive in coming signals to express them with quality too. Because if the radio towers are not finely tuned and cared for the signals would be full of static and white noise and not able to function with clarity and a clear frequency.

  455. Thank you for presenting this so. The whole blog was super clear and concise. You have described how our thoughts are not our own and how they come from the energy we align to really well.

  456. We have had an inkling of this when we describe someone as – on the same wavelength – when they come up with similar ideas to us. It is so worth considering that it is the quality of our body and movements that goes towards determining the type of thoughts we have. Perhaps this is why depression is alleviated by deeply caring for our body, resting well and exercising. This is a very interesting topic.

  457. Great blog Adrienne, one that truly makes you consider the origins of all thought and the fact that as receivers of thoughts it is we who decide what we are able to tune into based upon how we are within our body. I especially loved this line ‘our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.’

    1. More along the lines of ‘I think therefore I am that which makes me think that I am thinking’. So freedom of thought then is merely the freedom of choosing the source that feeds me the thoughts.

      1. “Freedom of thought then is merely the freedom of choosing the source that feeds me the thoughts”. This is a profound and life-changing realization and one that brings me to a complete halt. There is much to ponder on most deeply here.

      2. In complete halt the question arises of how to know and choose the source, a question not just asked by the mind but the whole body. And obviously it makes no sense to seek the answer by thinking. Definitely worth to be contemplated or pondered, already feeling that my body knows.

      3. Yes agreed the wisdom you bring here Alex is deeply profound and so beautifully said. We are never free from thoughts, our only true freedom is our Will through which we choose what source our thoughts come from.

  458. Adrienne, this article is brilliant, I love how you use the analogy of us as a radio tower picking up frequencies, you have explained thinking in a very simple, clear way, thank you.

  459. This blog highllghts how important it is to build a loving relationship with our bodies, as this will then determine the types of thoughts we will have.

    1. Totally Julie! Couldn’t agree with you more. Really has me reflecting on my last few days and how I’ve been with my body.

    2. Absolutely Julie, a relationship that then holds us steady and solid to literally have the capacity from our bodies to say NO to the bombardment of thoughts that will try and come in, given we have said yes to them for so long.

  460. How many discovery’s were a race that at times no one even knew it was a race? The invention of the airplane was done on different continents at the same time and the credit always goes to the one that did it first… but the information was from the same pool! They were all tuned into the same station for what was needed.

  461. Love this Adrienne and it has definitely got me pondering on the quality of my “tower” and the “frequency” I am choosing to tune into and can feel so clearly that it is a choice. I too have also wondered why several people get the same impulse at the same time to write, design or create, and how you have written this has shone so much more light on why it happens – it simply makes sense.

  462. I love your thinking on this blog, Adrienne, not thinking in the way I thought about thinking previously but posing questions and suggestions that make perfect sense. It is so true that there have been people who have had a ‘race’ to invent or find something whether it’s the technology for the first man on the moon or the penicillin vaccine that works. The fact that we are receivers not originators of thoughts makes me want to look after the radio tower to receive the highest vibration possible.

  463. I considered this blog in relation to the terrorism and the bigotry, fascism and hatred that abounds in our societies now, as it has abounded for aeons. How could this way of looking at thinking alter our lost ways. If we don’t actually think but instead thoughts come through us, then we could all focus more on the quality of the movement and expression we gift our bodies, and the more we build this quality the less we want to act in ways that are not loving and not essentially expressing who we all innately are, which were you to look broadly down on this planet would be to say that we are all at heart the same, and that ideologies and belief systems are not it, as they don’t represent anyones truth, a truth that its that we all come from the same source and we will all return to that source.

    1. Yes it will Eduardo. Not tuning in is keeping us stuck in the one place, falsely believing we are evolving. Being open to receiving and from our natural source that feels true in our body, will finally lift the lid on this stuckness.

    1. And if we are living antennas, we can at any point choose to tune into one that is loving, appreciative, tender and kind.

    2. I love that Eduardo — living antennas! Thing is if we’re not taking care of our frequency tower and our antennas then catch all sorts of dodgy negative frequencies, we also do become living dilemmas. When we think we own our thoughts and deliberate in our heads endless to find the solution, way out and in and everything in between, life becomes one dilemma after another.

    3. We are living antennas and our sole responsibility is to choose the quality of movement and thus living that represents the essence of who we are and reflects this back fully to the world.

  464. How utterly simple life could be – once aware of our minds being constantly run by two different frequencies we can discern and choose by the QUALITY of the thought frequency we would prefer to receive through our ‘towers’ – that which is love, or that which is not love.
From this ONE choice negative and self destructive thought patterns could not dominate and continuously run this incessant, seemingly unstoppable, exhausting mind chatter.

  465. Great blog, it changes my whole perception of life, when considering this to be true. That we don’t think but are mere receivers of energy that creates our thoughts. It completely turns it around from being an individual with our own thougts to a receiver with a free choice to tune in to any channel he likes, but through caring for this receiver making it possible to receive with more clarity and that what we originate from.

  466. When I was teaching at University, one of the concepts I used to use was ‘ideational site’. This notion referred to a repository of ideas that got recycled once and again and again. So, the creational part was not related to the ideas but how to use them.

    1. How interesting Eduardo! If we are not creating the ideas, then we certainly are coming up with new ways to interpret them.

    2. Studying at uni at the moment, I can see how trapped we are in a cycle of seeking answers, in this case to our health issues, from the pool of ideas that created them in the first place! Unfortunately the current education system will only validate ideas that someone else has proven, thus we are kept trapped in the same pool of thoughts.

    3. It would be interesting to follow up on some of these academically approved and sanctioned concepts and check them against what Adrienne is suggesting here, that we are not necessarily the originators of our thoughts. And when I ‘think’ of some of the crazy ideas and aberrant thoughts I have had, it does make sense – where do they come from? And even more importantly: can I do or not do something to either invite or bar them?

  467. I agree Marika, people are drawn to babies in this way too – the innocence and joy they simply are is irresistible and our hearts immediately expand connecting with this frequency emanating through them.
“I find then so easily attuned to the frequency of love and when they express from this place it just melts me as it is a frequency that is universally known from the heart”.

    1. Absolutely Marika and Stephanie. I experienced this yesterday when with my daughter and husband and their 6 months old daughter at a restaurant. So that my daughter could eat, the staff at the restaurant took the baby for a long walk – the baby loved it, the staff loved it and we loved it. And we were all linked in a beautiful connection together and realising that we are one family.

  468. What a simple and great analogy you use with the radio towers Adrienne. Although the mind may appear to strongly resist and refute this as the choice of energy creating the thought that we think, is not going to want to let go of its supremacy here. And yet, it makes total sense in the body. This is an indisputable game-changer Adrienne!
“Just like a TV, radio or telephone, we don’t originate any of our thoughts or ideas but receive and then output them”.

    1. Yes Stephanie, Adrienne has made it so clear with her tower and receiver analogy that we do not think but only receive. This cuts all identification with thinking that we think and opens up a great space around us to keep feeling and observing what is happening, what is being said and done.

    2. Doesn’t this just make it so simple, understandable and relatable for anyone to read and be able to contemplate for themselves in daily life.

  469. Adrienne this is a brilliant description of what happens in the world and all the thoughts we have that really are not ours . Where they come from depends on the energy we are aligned to and choose, and that these are always either loving and confirm all we are and know, or they are not and allow us to feel lesser as a result. Thinking about thinking a great subject to bring light to!

    1. Beautiful Tricia. What you and Adrienne have shared offers much support in bringing understanding to situations, rather than reacting, when someone is thinking and acting in an unloving way as it is not who they truly are but rather an energy they have chosen to align to.

    2. I just love that from our connection to a loving and confirming quality we not only don’t own our thoughts we are able to bring the beauty of our unique essence and quality to their expression and when our quality comes together in conjunction with our physical bodies we are able to express Heaven on earth.

  470. I still struggle with it, we are so invested in being individuals and invested in our stories of our lives that to truly let go of that is a real game changer as Adrienne described. I love blogs like this, for reading the comments and others experiences helps in seeing the illusion and what step I next am willing to take.

  471. This is such a beautiful article Adrienne and it makes sense because how many of us have had a conversation with someone only for them to finish our sentence, or we say the same thing at the same time or if someone is mumbling or unclear in their physical speech we understand them regardless? And if I cannot control my thoughts, but I can choose the quality then rather than trying to work life out from the mind it makes far more sense to be aware of how I feel, because how my body feels is going to be the quality in my thoughts, words and actions.

    1. Working things out from my mind just doesn’t work. I end up chasing my tail and only have a limited range of thoughts available to me. It is only when I step back and allow my body to speak that anything new and harmonious is offered.

    2. We are totally connected to each other at all times on a physical level, there’s just no doubt about it! and yet when we live from the quality of thoughts that has us in individualism and for self-gain we numb ourselves to be aware of this simple fact. No wonder it is then that we can be impressed or equally disappointed by two people seemingly coming up with the same words or idea, it’s fascinating really as there isn’t really a coincidence but rather a sea of energy or a frequency that both are connected to.

  472. “but the way we receive and then act on the information picked up is dependant on our individual makeup and the quality of our tower”. Love this, Adrienne, the quality of our tower is what will make the receiving of information of clarity or not, it is a great image that will greatly assist me and others to take much greater responsibility of what we fill the tower up with that will support or not that transmission.

  473. Food for thought Adrienne. And as energy wave receivers we are also energy wave transmitters so the quality of the energy we choose to tune in to will be the quality of the energy waves we put out. So therein lies the responsibility as the more towers that tune into Divine energy the clearer this Divine energy will be received by all.

  474. I agree and even though I have known this analogy for quite some time I very rarely ask that question Marika, it really is a total surrender required and responsibility needed to accept this revelation in full.

    1. Yes, I am with you Vanessa, that we do not think is a revelation and takes a total surrender of the ‘individual’ mind if we are to truly em-body this truth and universal intelligence.

  475. What a mind-bender of a blog Adrienne! A powerful and thought-provoking writing exposing the possibility that human beings are in fact fed thoughts and not the originator of them at all. In this case, there can be no original thought of our own.

    1. No original thought and no original sin. Just the choice to align our tower to Love or to everything that is not that – in every moment. As when we don’t choice the frequency we receive it is chosen for us in our absence. That choice is never the choice of Love.

  476. So true Marika and this can be seen with all people…”We begin to know our physical selves – our body – as radio towers, that if broken or damaged with the hits and hurts of life, tune into frequencies that deliver a quality of thought very different to the quality of thoughts available to a tower cared for, maintained, tall and not only ready to receive thoughts, but aware of itself as a receiver of thoughts not by default but by design. Divine design in fact!” I see this reflected in society, time and time again. It makes sense.

  477. “The idea of being a mere receptor, not a creator of thoughts, is somehow insulting to our intelligence, rudely suggesting that we are not special, nor different, nor brilliant, but somehow passive, mute and dumb.” I can imagine this being very confronting for some who are so wrapped up in the importance of intelligence, however it makes sense and is well worth pondering.

    1. There are many industries dedicated to intelligence, and to thinking. Neuro Linguistic Programming is but one tiny example. This concept that we are receivers and not creators, will challenge every one to the core.

    2. It’s great how Adrienne has exposed this as the reaction of many people when they hear the possibility that they don’t think nor are they the creator of their thoughts. It exposes further the ridiculousness that we think that individuality makes us somehow ‘special’ or ‘different’ when in fact, and in truth we are equally special and also completely equal so there is nothing to even compare or complete against either.

  478. Maybe one day, just like when it became common knowledge that world is round and that it circles the sun, we will all be aware that we receive energy for our thoughts, and live accordingly in respect of the fact.

    1. Yes I can hear the comments now Shami, how people will wonder that anyone could ever think otherwise. It feels very natural to me and explains all those times when people say the same thing at once or are inspired to make the same invention in different parts of the world. If we truly take this on board, then we have an enormous responsibility about what we are choosing to transmit. It also puts an enormous question mark over who we really are, because if our thoughts are not our own and we simply express everything we receive, we can only be a mouth piece for the channel we are broadcasting.

    2. Yes Shami, I have just been reading about how theory evolves and facts change depending on involving theories, the world being flat then round is a great example, as is our place in the universe. I suspect the fact that we are receivers of energy will come to be taken as fact as well.

  479. This has me pondering.. It would be crazy if a radio starts to “think” the presenters and music are inside it! Yet this is exactly how we think about thinking when we are truly just channels of energy

    1. This is really relevant to creativity in the arts as well as thinking Joshua, and the way you have expressed it makes it very clear. A creative piece of writing or painting can come from either of two energies, and how willing we are to admit that it does not come from inside us but through us and that there is a choice between these two energies, determines the output and its impact on those who receive it. If we can be willing to let go of our individuality and get out of the way and not try to own the inspiration, then the energy is likely to be light and clear and bring a response of expansion and connection to something deep inside everyone — their soul, but if we already “think” we are the creator from previously choosing to attach to the thoughts we are being fed, then we will be fed more thoughts and inspirations that cement that, and so produce something run of the mill or outright offensive and damaging to the receiver.

    2. Great analogy Joshua. When TVs and radio were first invented, people would have been so intrigued and curious as to how it all worked. And may these inventions were a hint (reflection) to us at that time as to how we receive our thoughts.

    3. Great image, the radio or TV thinking that what comes through them does actually come from them – and the question here is, as introduced by Adrienne, whether it is the same for us, whether it is in fact true that we are receivers rather than the deep and meaningful thinkers we might fancy ourselves to be.

      1. This is true Gabriele and it also feels very freeing to feel that our thoughts do not come from us but actually through us. We are no longer then owned by the ideal of having to come up with something, simply connect, or rather re-connect, and it is all there

    4. Great point Joshua, exposing the ridiculousness it is to think we think and thus own or are identified by our thoughts when we are simply the recipients and are responsible only for the quality of thinking that we allow through and in us.

  480. If we tune in certain thoughts instead of creating them, two things become clear: the frequency our body is able to operate in is key and we do not own thoughts, but borrow them from an extant repository.

  481. This is a very powerful blog Adrienne. When we can accept the fact that the thoughts that come to us are not ours but are there because through our bodies we are attuned to a frequency of energy, we are given a powerful tool in which we can define the quality of our thinking by the quality we are with our bodies, and with that with the way we live.

    1. Beautifully summed up Nico! Thank you. Whilst it goes against everything we are taught, it has a strange ring of truth to it, don’t you think?

      1. It just shows how important it is to build the quality in our body to be tuned into the true frequency to receive from the universe all we need to receive.

      2. That counts also for me Elodie, it goes against everything I have even been told. Although this is not mainstream, I know it is true as I do live and experience it every day. One day out of tune with how I am with myself and my expression does have an impact on how I feel in my body the days after, only by making the conscious choice to tune in on my favourite energy station again, does my body return to that state of love that I feel is my natural state of being.

    2. It’s this powerful tool, our bodies, that we have neglected to respect in full and utilise for its true purpose and ability to connect, unwaveringly so, to the universal communication that consistently flows. It’s simple to see how we have overridden, abused and disregarded our bodies but it is in no way truly necessary.

      1. Our body is the powerful tool we have been neglecting and it’s time we take responsibility and honour our body so we can use it for its true purpose.

    3. Very true Nico, we are being given a powerful tool that is subject to a choice of whether to be aware of the source of energy we align to or not. We can build a body that predisposes us to connect to each type of energy, one that recognises love…or not.

      1. Yes Lucy that’s it, and I prefer to build a body that recognises and is attuned to love as it is in fact my natural state of being and will not harm my body but instead confirm and nurture it.

  482. This made me consider many other great world teachers throughout time – such as Pythagoras, Plato and Jesus etc – who all, at different periods of history, tuned in to the same Universal Mind to receive this divine communication.

  483. Adrienne, your dot points raise some questions well worth pondering. Once we realize that we actually choose the ‘channel’ we are listening to, it follows then we need to discern the quality of the energy we open ourselves up to and express to others. And this is also affected by whether our tower is faulty or not, so we need to make sure that it is in good working order.

  484. Yes Marika, children are still attuned to that frequency of love and through that express a wisdom that cannot be from this life, therefore proves that there is a connection to a wisdom we all can connect to. The quality of our connection determines the quality of our thoughts and our children can show us the way to that as they are still pure, present and surrendered with the all.

  485. “…we are radio towers receiving all our thoughts”. Adrienne, this is a good analogy because it’s easy to see that if a radio tower thinks it is running the radio programs it is deluded. Could it be therefore that thinking “that we originate anything” is a good way for us to avoid seeing the truth of why we are here and what we are here to do?

  486. What a revelation to consider that we do not create thoughts, that they are received by us. If we consider the truth of this we then have to go a bit deeper and ask if we are receiving thoughts where are they coming from? What energy source do they come from and if there are different types of energy sources?

    1. Now imagine if this principle was taught to children at school. The focus on education being on building a body of love in order to transmit quality of thoughts that are attuned to love and this being the most important part of our education.

      1. ….a stunning thought that would literally change the way we are with ourselves and therefore the world as we know it.

      2. Interesting though that there is a part in us that can and does rebel against the choice to build a body of love and thereby being a receiver and transmitter of love although love is everything we long for. Considering that we all come from love, are essentially love and inevitably return to being love we might wonder or actually realize that there is a deliberate activity of creating anti-love in as many aspects of life as possible like education simply because we hold on to individuality, something we fight for under the name of freedom (of thought and speech), independence, the pursuit of happiness etc etc

    2. Spot on Elizabeth – what source have we plugged ourselves into? What radio frequency have we tuned into? Our natural source or natural wavelength – one that always cares for ourselves and those around us? Or a non-natural source that might offer excitement, distraction, activity and movement that keeps us in a non-natural state yet fools us into thinking it is a natural state? Now this is getting more interesting by the minute!

  487. This is a fabulous sharing that is indeed thought provoking and expanding. I love how you have continued along the truth of what Einstein shared with us. You have brought the next step. And yes it is very true what he said,’ “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.” This does absolutely tell us that he was aware of how thoughts work.

  488. What a gorgeous and extremely wise blog Adrienne. I love your finishing paragraph where it shares ‘our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.’

  489. Yes, Doug, and how many others who have brought great wisdom to our world over the past couple of thousand years, have also accessed their communication through the Universal Mind? Including Einstein who is regarded as having been a genius, yet it is said he was never bright at school. But the amazing thing is that this great wisdom is accessible to all of us when we are open to living deeply connected to ourselves. What a responsibility it is for us to develop a very clear tower so we too can access this communication.

    1. Beverley I agree. We all can determine the level of intelligence we can access by being completely responsible in how we live.

  490. Absolutely, Marika, “keeping the antenna fine tuned and clear feels very key and central to our wellbeing”. The big word here needed for us all is RESPONSIBILITY, we have a responsibility to clear ourselves of all the rubbish that we have put within us, create space within us, so we are not blocking the truth from accessing our ‘tower’. We need to be tuned into the true frequency so we can access the true knowledge that will be provided to us.

  491. Certainly setting up a body that allows the best quality thoughts to come through us makes sense. After all, how can anything come through clearly if the body it has to travel through is being bogged down through lack of care and by a mind that thinks it’s separate and is determined to have control and to run the show it’s way.

  492. ‘Einstein wondered these things – or should we say tuned into these thoughts – and talked about there being different levels of thinking available to us, memorably saying: “We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them.”’ Yes, I see the point that Einstein made, if we have been living our lives in a way that gives us a connection to a particular site from which we have been receiving our thoughts, then we are restricted in our thinking by the thoughts that are available from that source we are accessing. Therefore, maybe we need to change our way of living, to truly looking after ourselves (our tower) lovingly and behaving lovingly in all our interactions with others. This may then give us access to another source of thoughts, whereby we may receive thoughts that allow us to solve our problems in ways that have not been offered by the previous source. This is making some sense to me now, even though it may seem a bit convoluted in reading what I have shared. Thank you Adrienne, for opening up a the beginning of what could be a great conversation here. The ramifications are huge for all humanity.

  493. Wow, Adrienne, this is such a brilliant blog, so ‘thought provoking’ in so many ways. Now I even have to stop and look at what I just said here, ‘thought provoking’. Thank you for bringing up this hugely important factor, it is food for ‘thought’ for much pondering. I do understand that we do not truly think, but tune into a frequency according to how we are living and looking after our own ‘tower’, but even the first sentence I just wrote has stopped me in my tracks. I am going to have to re-read the blog again, and add further comments. The whole way we express ourselves is going to change I can see. There will be huge ramifications when the world begins to realise this amazing fact – that we do not truly think for ourselves, the thoughts are given to us.

  494. This makes sense of why holding back our expression is detrimental to our wellbeing. We are basically blocking what should naturally be a constant flow, and letting it implode.

  495. I love your radio tower analogy, Adrienne. So easy to understand and relate to, and this could be taught to children from young so that they will understand the importance of how they care for their own tower, the body, and how that is our utmost responsibility, and the absolute equalness of all the towers.

  496. This is indeed a game changer, a mind bender, a way of thinking and realising that we don’t think, we just think we think! I love what you have presented here Adrienne, and it leaves much food for thought!

    1. And when we are fully connected we know that we don’t think but that it comes through us. Until you experience this it sounds crazy but once you experience it, it is amazing and humbling and uplifting and quite a few other things as well.

      1. Interestingly Christoph it has been my experience to flick between awareness of the fact that thoughts pass through me as well as forgetting the awareness and just thinking (and then getting immersed in the thoughts and identifying myself in it all). The crazy thing is that when I am aware, It is so clear that thoughts are just thoughts, they are an energy and it is ‘dropping’ through me, and likewise, at those times when I am allowing myself to be less aware, these same thoughts can be so captivating and distracting so that I forget the basic energetic fact of what is actually happening. So when one is caught in the unawareness, then it does seem like the most foreign things to see thoughts as energy going through us, yet it is the most normal and natural thing to know and feel. Awareness is indeed a game changer! Why not give it a go for those who are keen?

  497. I agree Marika, children are a great example of tuning into frequencies. Anyone who parents or works with children will know that they can go from playing normally with themselves and then eat sugar or stay up past their bedtime, and completely change and say or do things that are the opposite to who they are. Understanding that we are receivers of thoughts and energy would most definitely support all parents and care givers.

  498. I feel like one of the most confronting things that you have presented here Adrienne is that, if our thoughts are received rather than originating from us, then there can be no attachment to anything we do. There is no “great idea” and the recognition that comes with that. No one person truly smarter or more intelligent than another, no ownership, no intellectual property. This throws the whole world of academia into a spin and once again shows that we are all equal, just receiving different frequencies.

  499. Wow Adrienne what a ‘thought’ provoking blog! The analogy that you used with the radio towers being our bodies is the most simple and obvious understanding of what information is delivered to us each day. It is becoming clearer every day that how I am with myself, what I eat, if I get enough sleep, how I am in relationships, how I work etc. determines the quality of thoughts that come to me. If I’ve made choices that are not loving then my thoughts are not going to be loving, and this can be seen all around.

  500. And have to say Adrienne that even though you did not attend the awesome recent event presented by Universal Medicine hosted by Serge Benhayon which I had the pleasure in attending, that your impulse to write on this very subject of ‘Thinking’ relates exactly to what we explored – that we don’t think our own thoughts, and that they are directed by a quality of movement by the body, that is, one’s quality of being. Being through movement directs thoughts. Your article Adrienne demonstrates and confirms the power of a universal mind at play that ALL of us have equal access to so long as we keep those Towers clear for transmission receipt!

  501. What a thought provoking blog Adrienne. I have been pondering on this notion that we don’t actually think and we are receivers of energy quite a bit over the last couple of weeks and it is becoming very interesting to note when certain thoughts that are a bit off or negative enter my mind, to question – where did that come from? What have I been doing or how have I been living to allow that kind of thought to come in? I am becoming very aware of the level of responsibility that I have in the way I live in regards to the quality of thoughts that I am having at any given time and the impact that this has not only on myself but others around me. Because as Einstein said “every is energy”.

    1. Yes, the key point is that we have Will – we can make a choice. We can’t always make a full choice as our previous choices constrain us, in practice, but we can make a more harmonious, loving choice each time. That is ours, whether we think or not.

  502. Absolutely brilliant Adrienne, love the analogy. Our thoughts are not our own, and so where do they come from, or rather which source is generating what is then picked up by us via our own ‘radio tower’ or body. The care and love of the body for transmission purposes becomes then a question of self-responsibility for the collective whole since everyone else will be affected by our own transmissions or ways of thinking. I know that when I’m thinking odd or bizarre negative thoughts, that when I check my body it feels tight not supple. And that when I move my body with this awareness (towards focused gentleness), my quality of thoughts change. Change the body to change the thought, and importantly the quality of those thoughts.

    1. Agree Zofia, change the body to change the quality of the thought. How often has the opposite been touted–change the thought and the body changes. I am appreciating more of late how true change comes from the quality of our movements, our body’s not minds leading the way.

  503. Adrienne you have shown here so clearly the fact that everything is energy, including thoughts, which are continually passing through us….. the part we play is in choosing which thoughts we hold onto, as our choice dictates what energy/emotions we then put out/transmit into the world, as they are then added to the waves of thoughts circulating out there for others to pick up on. What a responsibility we all have to choose wisely.

  504. I love this Adrienne. As we are the loving vessels for these thoughts which are given to us, the quality in which we make express them through our movements has a huge responsibility too. This is very cool and offers us much to consider in every moment of our lives.

  505. Beautiful Marika, this reminds me to appreciate our children, the wisdom and love they reflect is incredible.

  506. Adrienne, a super powerful blog. Thoughts do carry a quality which can be felt in the body as you have shared here: warm or cold, controlling or honouring, arrogant or responsible, separating or connecting. By checking in with the body we can discern the source of the thoughts we have chosen to receive.

    1. Absolutely Megan… and then take responsibility of what we are receiving and expressing, by addressing the quality within ourselves first and thus changing the frequency.

  507. Great blog Adrienne, it exposes the seeking recognition, investment and identification in our thoughts and ideas. It feels humbling, inclusive and universal to understand where our thoughts and ideas truly come from. Therefore, we have a greater responsibility than we have been led to think.

    1. I do too and I think this is golden…”When we loosen our grip on thinking that we originate anything and start realising instead that as receivers of thoughts or consciousness, our only job is to care for the tower we embody so it can discern and choose to tune into and express thoughts from an intelligence that leaves us feeling not cold, confused or controlling, arrogant or dominating, but warm, wise, responsible, honouring appreciative, honest, humble and joyful in its brilliant simplicity and beauty.”

      1. In a way, yes, though thoughts are definitely ‘things’ as they can have a strong effect – to bring us back to who we are or to lead us further away.

  508. Brillant blog Adrienne, the fact that all thoughts are continually passing through us and the quality of the thoughts we choose is determined by the quality of our attunement. That our thoughts come to us and not from us is a revelation; we do not own our thoughts.

    1. This is brilliant Victoria, if we do not own our thoughts than this allows us to let go of being wrong or right, perhaps from this understanding, conflict will cease as we no longer would fight over who is wrong or right leading to more harmony.

      1. That is so true Victoria, it really boils down to how much are we willing to take responsibility? Responsibility to restore harmony to our lives and to humanity.

    2. Pondering on the notion of we only think we think takes self out of the way if we fully accept that we are indeed vessels in which energy passes through us.

      1. Yes, and it is the quality of the energy passing through our vessels that we do have a responsibility for. How we are with ourselves, how we move and how we live determines the quality we will be receiving.

  509. It’s like we are the custodians of thought through energy and frequency – they do not belong to us! I love this blog Adrienne as the understanding of what you present allows life to become super simple – in that our responsibility and number one focus is the body and our care for it so it can receive a quality of energy that is true to the universality we are from. Self-Care and self-love take on a whole new meaning for me now.

    1. Agree Rachael, the simplicity in this blog is a joy to read and to also feel – its simplicity in description being a beautiful reminder to keep things, life, our way of being as simple as we can to access the universality we are from as you say.

    2. I agree whole heartedly, Rachel and Adrienne – the care of our tower that receives the frequencies is paramount and is the key to true success as this is what determines the quality of energy that we all then choose to put out or emit around us. Basic but fundamental truths in life that we so need to be reminded of all of the time!

    3. Well said Rachael, there comes a whole new meaning to taking care for oneself if we consider that all that comes to our minds is determined by the quality of our bodies and the way we move, in other words, how much it is attuned to the radio station we are designed for to receive.

    4. It does Rachael. It is about caring for ourself in such a way that keeps the receiver clear from any debris that can distort the signal we receive and make us tune in to that which isn’t from this universality.

  510. Beautiful Adrienne and definitely a mind bender. If we did see ourselves as receivers of thought rather than generators of thought as you have proposed, this would explain a great many things. This also shows the great responsibly we have in caring for our receiver to make sure we tune into the correct frequency.

    1. Could it be that we have long believed that we are the ones who think rather than be the receivers of thought because we don’t want to take the ultimate responsibility in the way we move and the choices we make in how we live – which are what determine the quality of thoughts we have?

  511. The metaphor of us as towers is great for illustrating our ability to receive quality signals is directly related to the quality of the tower we are.

    1. It sure is Michael – totally enjoyed the tower analogy and the clarity it provides. If our tower is busted up, closed or partly shut down from life, how are we to receive the impulses, thoughts etc. from the universe? And how can we transmit a clear sound to our listeners? This is where our responsibility resides.

      1. ohhhh thats absolutely gorgeous Rachael! ” If our tower is busted up, closed or partly shut down from life, how are we to receive the impulses, thoughts etc. from the universe? ” we can’t receive the impulse of the stars if we aren’t up to date with what we need to have to be in tune with their light!

      2. Exactly Rachael. And if we ‘think’ we are the one thinking – we also close off the tower and limit our access to a quality of thought that the world desperately needs.

    2. Beautiful Michael. What an illusion then that we compare our ‘towers’ here on earth, instead of always looking at what quality of waves we are emitting.

      1. I like that Harrison, this diminishes the comparison of the physical and what we do, and makes us see that thoughts and thus actions come from a certain quality, as it never originates from the receiver..

    3. I agree Michael, the ‘tower’ is essentially our body and not our mind. This is why it is so important to look after our body in every way to care, nurture and make sure it is clear of hurts and issues. As these diffuses and interrupts the quality of what we pick up from constantly receiving communication from the divine source of wisdom.

    4. Absolutely Michael, if the tower is not maintained and well cared for there will be a break down in receiving and communicating signals clearly. A well maintained tower will not only receive and wisely choose which signals will best support it but will be able to clearly and widely transmit those supporting signals out for other towers to pick up.

    5. Yes, and how we as towers all interact with each other too to create either havoc in mixed received transmissions, or harmony through being one way – LOVE.

  512. What channel we are tuned to determines our choices… this very well could be the answer to all illness and disease. How often do we make choices we know are not great, yet, we make them anyway, if we bring it back to basics, what channel are we tuned into we have the answer to getting ourselves out of the mess we have tuned into.

    1. It is the answer to the whole state of the world, imagine if terrorist or rapist knew they were being feed their thoughts or a politician making decisions no one can make sense of. Being fed our thoughts from love or not love is the most revelatory thing that has been presented and one that humanity continually skirts around and doesn’t accept in full. The world would look very different if we were to accept this truth.

  513. Great article Adrienne, to go deeper and align with Einstein’s theory and also that of Serge Benhayon and the ancient wisdom is very empowering, as it gives us a choice to decide wether we want or need certain thoughts to dictate our direction or consciousness. Many people including me have championed that we have came up with a great idea or thought at times, only to find someone else is doing the same somewhere else in the world. Proving that it is like a frequency that has been tuned into, flowed through or be given to us to think. This is also quite empowering, and humbling at the same time, once we get over our individual issues or wanting to claim how amazing we are for thinking such original thoughts, ideas etc.

    1. Agreed Greg. It’s very humbling when we choose to surrender ourselves to the bigger picture and not fight for our individual self – trying to be right, to be the one that comes up with the bright idea etc. Humbleness and responsibility to the bigger picture is far more satisfying and brings a level of contentment to the body that no chase for ‘self’ can.

  514. Adrienne, this blog is brilliant. What you have shared here is wise beyond words and literally one of the greatest revelations of our time. I would love to see your sharing turned into a story book, imagine children getting to read this from such a young age and learn that true intelligence is determined by the quality of your frequency – absolutely brilliant. Thank you!

    1. Love this idea Laura B, it would revolutionise not only the way we teach and parent our children but how we are with our fellow man. The need to be identified by our intelligence would disappear as we began to recognise that all thought does not originate with us, but is purely something we tune into and the quality of that thought is a reflection of how we live in and treat our body. Amazing!

  515. Your words make so much sense Adrienne, ‘everything is energy’ is very practical and the metaphor of us being like a ‘radio towers’. If it starts with energy, than the energy we receive, than thoughts and than actions – than the quality (!!!!!) of our actions indeed are determined by the thoughts that we receive or more accurately said ‘choose to receive’.

    1. Yes, Floris, I can feel what you mean when you finish your sentence with “…our actions indeed are determined by the thoughts that we receive or more accurately said ‘choose to receive'” – for it seems to me that it is of paramount importance to be aware of what energy we choose to align ourselves to that may ultimately present to us the ‘quality’ of whichever alignment we have chosen in that specific instant that will result in the type and quality of our thoughts.

      1. Well said Roberta, it is of paramount importance from my own experience. Lately I’m becoming aware how different my thoughts are if I connect to my body. Instantly there’s an ease, like an enjoying of my own sensitivity. For most of my life I’ve not been living in this connection with my sensitivy, hence the coldness in my thoughts / analytical thoughts are easily explained. There’s not been a lot of space, understanding, warmth towards myself and I did create a world around me that wasn’t reflecting that warmth either. It’s amazing how different the world has become since choosing more and more warmth and dito thoughts. It’s like everything upside down. Very, very precious. Gosh, how amazing is it that in those moments, I don’t feel any drive to be better. To be honest, for a long time I considered myself as hopeless and ‘thought’ that I would never make it. Yet, I’m now a living testimony of the opposite. How amazing is my sensitivity?

  516. Wow Adrienne this is an amazing blog and it is to me very plausible that we would be the Tower or receiver for the thoughts or ideas that are just waiting for us to tune into them. “Our only job is to care of the tower we embody”. If this is the case and it feels right to me then it would also mean anyone could pick up this signal and run with it too. And as you mentioned, each idea would still be different in the interpretation of it.

  517. It most certainly is worth deep consideration Adrienne, thank you for opening the conversation. It has struck me too that if we really did create our own thoughts, then how can two people have the same thought at the same time? It makes much more sense to me when I go with the “radio tower” theory, it explains to me why several people can have the same thought, idea, invention simultaneously and in different places in the world and how we get caught into fashions and trends. And it is an immensely healing proposition too, to realise that maybe we don’t generate the thoughts but we tune into them instead, because it can explain so much of the un-explained about human behaviour and how if we truly look after, nourish and cherish our “radio tower” the quality of what we tune into can radically alter with astonishing consequences.

  518. Amazing Adrienne! How totally accurate that we are like towers that receive waves. What frequency do we tune into?

      1. I like that Marika. I can add to that the way I move and express myself through the day is also part of the tuning dial, as every move or expression void of love will distort the receiver.

  519. I love this blog and simple explains the answer to the provocative question as to whether we are the originator of our thoughts or not. And I totally agree that the example of children is a great one.

  520. Beautifully articulated Adrienne this is exactly what happens and shows us that the technology we are surrounded by offers us symbols of exactly how we operate too. Just as a computer has no original information it all has to be fed into it starting with an operating system then software and then the information to produce what we see on the screen. Our body is a computer with the hardware of an amazing system that provides for life and love seen in babies, then as the software is downloaded to make it more expansive – as children grow and express – society and family provide the information where we choose to receive the original (God’s) energy or the other (astral) or pranic energy and hence we see on the ‘screen’ of life different behaviours from love expressed or what is not love expressed. This is an easy way to sum up the world and thank you for those ‘thoughts’.

  521. Fascinating blog Adrienne, if we are not our thoughts and we don’t in fact think, then who ARE we? I know that I am more than my thoughts yet it is the quality of my thoughts that define who I am.

  522. I experienced exactly this recently, I ‘had a brain wave’ or that’s what it is commonly called… I was preparing for an art exhibition and I had a idea to paint directly onto the reverse of the canvas, which was Belgium linen. No one had done this that I knew of, and about six months later I went into the art shop only to find the exact same thing on sale, made in China. So about the same time as I had the idea someone in China had the same idea, so yes we all receive the same thought waves they are not exclusively given or owned by us. Thoughts come ‘to’ us, not ‘from’ us.

  523. When I was first presented with the possibility that our thoughts are not our own – I was speechless – it makes sense to me now. Einstein made very public the fact that everything is energy, therefor of course there is an energy behind everything.. including our thoughts.

  524. What I love about your sharing Adrienne is that it is all about the quality of how we are with ourselves, the quality we choose to live, that will determine the type of thoughts we will have…so it is simply a choice of quality, and we are responsible for that choice each and every day.

  525. The fact that more than one person can have the same inspiration at the same time is a great indication that we are tuning-in to get our thoughts. Most of us have had times when we seem to have non-stop negative thoughts that we don’t seem to be able to stop, and others times when we seem in the zone and approach everything in way that it all flows. Most of us have had situations when something has snapped us out of the way we were thinking and then it is as if we have tuned into a completely different channel. We have the signs that what you talk about Adrienne is a definite possibility and perhaps if we observe it more closely we also realize that not only do we receive our thoughts, but there are definite choices that affect what channel we receive those thoughts from.

    1. I very much appreciate your very considerate approach to explore the possibility of us receiving thoughts, not generating them. As long as we don´t make it a first-hand experience it is just another concept (set of thoughts) hence each person who is honestly interested in figuring out how thinking actually works should make it a practical experiment and or observation.

  526. Awesome blog Adrienne…a great analogy of how thoughts come to us – we are not the intelligent thinkers we think ourselves to be!

  527. I love the way you have broken down such a huge concept into something that I feel I can easily understand Adrienne. When it comes to thoughts the fact that we can choose “… not so much by content as by quality” allows me to let go and see how simple the truth is.

    1. I agree Leonne, what a well written easily understandable blog. After reading this blog doesn’t it give you the confidence that you too can write like this? Totally inspirational – it blew me away, and, I am all for giving myself the permission to align to what is on offer here. Again, totally amazing !!

  528. ‘We only think we think’. This is indeed a game-changing phenomenon, one that should have us all fixated on the quality of thoughts we’re tuning into. For that is where true responsibility lies.

    1. this also really exposes the attachment to ownership that we have as a human race. My idea, my recipe, my inspiration, my thought. There’s an enormous humility that comes with the realisation that no idea is our own, no thought is ‘ours’, but given to us by the frequency, that is the quality of energy, we choose is mind-blowing.

    2. It is a ‘game-changing phenomenon’ Cathy. Would it explain all that happens around us? And, the next questions lies – Where do the separative thoughts come from to not honour another in equalness or evolution? And, where do the thoughts come from that love all equally like Serge Benhayon lives consistently? He does talk about the Soul consciousness and the Spiritual consciousness. When I heard this at my first workshop, with Serge Benhayon aka Universal Medicine, it explained everything; and I was all-in to know more and how to live the wisdom only Serge knew how to present it so simply. He pushed those buttons for me that I am still learning to master myself – that tower that can receive the wisdom of the Soul consciousness another realm.
Next question – who are we then if we can receive this wisdom?

  529. Love this brain bender of a blog, Adrienne. Comments such as this cut through the arrogance and identification with our thoughts as ours – “Just like a TV, radio or telephone, we don’t originate any of our thoughts or ideas but receive and then output them.”

    1. Absolutely Janet and in undressing the arrogance and identification of the intellect i can sense how this would serve to rebalance equality and humility.

  530. How do we choose the quality of the thoughts that come through us? By no secret but movement in every aspect of our lives. Feeling the depth of quality that we are and moving with this quality in daily life, we are less controlled by pictures that life has been constructed by, then there is nothing really difficult to understand, for intelligence is not self-owned and the truth presented here that we only think we think, makes absolute sense.

    1. Absolutely Adele, the quality of how we move determines that types of thoughts that we have. The world can be changed through the simplicity of changing the way in which we move. Now that is profound.

      1. Yes, that is profound. We have been lead to believe that the mind is running the show while all along the greater wisdom and intelligence that can be accessed lay in the way in which we move.

      1. I agree Kylie, schooling would be much more joyful when this truth would be taught. Actually childeren do this already naturally to change their movements and be playful with this and the schooling system at the moment teaches them not to be playful but to be in their head and compete in sports.

    2. Yes, Adele, movement is key here. We need to connect to the depth of quality we truly are deep within, and move with this in our every movement. That way we will not be open to the images that are constantly being fed to us when we are not deeply connected to ourselves, constantly distracting us from truth. Although it is very sobering to realise, I know now, in my bones as one could say, that we do not truly think for ourselves, but all our thinking is dependent on the source to which we connect. We only think we think. This brings up a huge responsibility for us all who understand this, to live this way and show others that there is a different way to be, a truly joyful way.

    3. Beautiful Adele. There is a truth presented here, that we are not the owners of our thinking and it is the level of our the awareness we have about our being that determines our movements and through this movements we align our bodies to that quality that brings us the thoughts that come to us.

    4. Well said Adele, and I feel this is pertinent to all..”Once we take up a thought and express it in word or deed, its effects can clearly be seen and felt as they play out in ways that leave us or another feeling less, or deepens the responsibility and care we bring to ourselves and others.” Since we are the conduit it makes sense if our quality is honed, the quality of our thoughts will reflect this”.

    5. Indeed Adele Fire FM inspires true movements that serve to celebrate and confirm who we naturally are.

    6. Great comment Adele. Our movements determine the configuration of our thoughts.

  531. Adrienne, what a great topic to talk about – our thoughts. In the past I have sometimes been embarrassed or even shocked by what has crossed my mind – wondering where those thoughts could possibly have come from. A recent example was after a very busy period of work and study, I had a thought that I wished I got sick & went to hospital for a few weeks so that I could relax and do nothing. This stopped me in my tracks because there was no truth in it at all. Surely if the thought came from me I wouldn’t lie to myself who I know, knows the truth? Thank you for starting this conversation – for getting us to become aware of our thoughts and consider how they may differ depending on how we are feeling.

  532. What a stunning piece of writing about thinking. It offers the reader much to think about! I know that when I take great care of me, my thoughts are different and and when I live in disregard of myself, my thoughts often want to keep me in there.

    1. So true Sarah. I know this also. It seems taking care of ourselves helps to choose the energy we align to and so we pick up that energy in our radio station- hello self loving thoughts.

    2. So true. We are all living examples of this theory. When we make poor choices we don’t feel so great and out thoughts naturally become more negative.

  533. Yes Adrienne, the beauty of our tower is defined by the station it tunes into. If you are a regular with Love FM then it only makes sense that the tower, our body will be this same way. And vice versa a loving body naturally tunes into this station it seems. For if we understand and accept everything is energy, and because of energy – how could our thoughts work any other way?

      1. Love it Joseph, Love FM sounds like a great radio station to be tuned into all of the time.

    1. Yes, Joseph, and all we need to do is choose whether we tune into to Love FM or not. This analogy offers us a way of living that is beautiful in its simplicity.
