Energetic Responsibility – How Responsible Are We Willing to Be?

I used to think I was responsible and yes, in many ways I was – and in many more ways I was not. The latter I slowly realised once I started attending Universal Medicine courses and workshops by Serge Benhayon.

The responsibility Serge talks about goes far beyond social responsibility or any other conveniently sectioned off and delineated responsibilities, whether at work, at home, as a driver on our roads, as a taxpayer, neighbour, friend, partner, etc.

Whoa, how much responsibility are we willing to take and how do we handle it? Where does it begin and where does it end? And what if it never ends but gets vaster and broader, more all-encompassing as we initiate ourselves, and initiation (as explained by Serge Benhayon) being about awareness first and foremost?

Wait a moment: the more and greater awareness someone has, the more they initiate themselves – the more responsibility they have? Yes, you have heard correctly, that is how it is.

There is a passage in The Way of Initiation (p. 378) by Serge Benhayon where he states:

“The inner-heart knows the whole
Before it expresses about any part.

The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”

This quote is from a chapter called ‘Understanding Energetic Responsibility’ which comes under the heading ‘Energetic Integrity’, one of the five keys to an initiation covered in this book. But what does it mean practically and in daily life?

The quote above took me right back to a time when I was sharing a house with some people whom I used to try to ‘organise’, i.e. ask them to do the things that needed to be done, whether around the house, the land, to the cars, the shed, the garden, the driveway, etc.

I can well remember how imposing and insistent I used to be that my agenda be attended to so that I could tick a few things off my to do list; so I could experience some relief from the relentlessness of what at times felt quite overwhelming and far too much work for me alone. How my housemates truly felt, I did not take into consideration.

I basically brushed it aside – I needed done what I thought needed doing, right there and then.

Let’s just take the first part of the above quote:

“The inner-heart knows the whole
Before it expresses about any part.”

From that I can’t but conclude that energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations. In the example given, I was focussing on what I needed and when I needed it and I could always justify it, of course, but I disregarded the bigger context, did not take into consideration any of the following, and this list could be endless:

  • Is this the right time to address this issue?
  • How is the other person feeling / what kind of day have they had?
  • Why am I expressing so forcefully? What is going on for me?
  • Are relationships not more important than just getting boxes ticked?

In other words, I was expressing about a part (needing to get something done) before I considered the whole, the bigger context.

And now to the second part of the quote:

“The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”

This suggests that Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are part of something that is much vaster than any single person, any partnership, any one family, neighbourhood, country, continent and even the earth itself. We are a part of the universe and whatever anyone of us thinks, does, says, sings, plays, writes or otherwise expresses, even just to themselves and without anyone necessarily witnessing it, affects us all, energetically first and then physically down the track, in one way or another.

Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.

And who would want to, once it is known and understood that there is a vastness to connect back to that allows us to know what we need to know at any given moment – no more and no less?

Why no more? Because it is never about knowledge as such, or any individual, but about the All and what is needed in a particular situation and setting. And thus, how responsible are we willing to be?

  1. Gabriele what you have shared with everyone is enormous
‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.’
The energy we give out comes back when we least expect it, it plays outs sometimes days or weeks later and we scratch our heads wondering why something is the way it is. If we trace the happening back, It is that way because we were not responsible for the energy we gave out which comes back to us like a Boomerang that we then have to clear up and deal with. I can say this because I have experience of just this energetic outplay.

  2. Everyone is living their own cycle of evolution. We can’t impose on anyone a quick fix to make the reality we live in more comfortable for us. We need more trust in the fact that Love is all encompassing and takes care of the whole process to make sure no one is left behind.

  3. Gabriele the example you gave feels very relatable and exposes the moments I want a quick solution for all the environmental problems that are taking place in this planet. But all that’s going on is a reflection of where we are at as a society, and this doesn’t change overnight because my need to live in an ideal world where there is no pain and pollution. Of course we can live in a more harmonious world, but this starts with a choice to return to my love and not to police anyone or to initiate big campaigns against the corruption.

Being gentle in a world governed by the lack of connection is a revolutionary act in itself and changes everything, in a split second.

    1. That’s true, Inma – we live and inspire by reflection and not by activism or militant action; the latter two have not ever truly changed anything, just readjusted the deckchairs on the Titanic.

      1. It seems to me Gabriele that the chairs on the Titanic are being readjusted again. I read an article which shows that the people of the world are in unrest. There is a backlash to the forced lock-down that the governments of the world have imposed and have subjected the citizens to. We have witnessed this before in our history that humanity will not cowed, there is something within us that rises up and demands our freedom. But unless we demand this on an energetic level nothing will change. As you say the chairs will just get rearranged.

      2. Agreed, we have a very long history of re-arranging chairs on the Titanic, long before that vessel ever sank. We still indulge in looking for solutions rather than answers and as long as that doesn’t change, the chairs will be moved and shuffled around to make it all look okay.

    2. Inma your comment has just shifted something within me, that like you, I have an ideal of how I want the world and humanity to be. Not the lost souls we are but fully expressing the love of God we come from. But if I do not fully express this myself then not only am I selling myself short I’m selling humanity short too as you say
‘Being gentle in a world governed by the lack of connection is a revolutionary act in itself and changes everything, in a split second.’

  4. Living with the understanding of what our inner-heart-connection, essence-connection, and or Soul-connection is a great step for our evolution and that of humanity.

  5. Living from the inner heart is a very different way to be in life, I find it takes in the bigger picture and senses much more information than just what’s presented to our eyes. It’s an equal care for everyone.

  6. I always felt I was quite a responsible person but actually there is what I feel is a different responsibility and this grows as our awareness grows towards ourselves and others. It doesn’t feel like a burden but something to cherish, value, and dare I say honour, because there is a feeling that to be responsible is to reflect to others the truth. To me this is the highest honour and it never ends as we deepen our connection to ourselves.

  7. When we make life all about the ‘I’ or me, then we have lost sight of the fact that we are all in this together and it is only by working together that we will ever get out of the mess we have collectively made here on this plane of life.

    1. We are in this together, it is important to consider the other person when expressing as in this blog, ‘Is this the right time to address this issue?
How is the other person feeling / what kind of day have they had?’

  8. “Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.” So true. before attending Universal Medicine presentations I had spent twenty years plus searching for answers in various spiritual groups – not one of which talked about responsibility, let alone energetic responsibility, despite a lot of talk about energy and healing. Prior to that everything was about function alone. Coming to Universal Medicine I felt like I had come home. Energy and matter are interchangeable; we are made of both, so of course energetic responsibility has to be a core part of us all too.

    1. I’ve experienced the same in spiritual healing groups, people are often searching because they know there is more to life, and finding the reality of energy seems to confirm that, but the issue is we stop there and don’t question further as to what is the quality of energy, and what outcome does it produce? We don’t question if there is more than one source of energy.

    2. Energetic responsibility is a welcome part of how we are in every moment, for instance, ‘energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.’

    3. Energetic responsibility is way bigger than most of us had realised, it is about the All, ‘This suggests that Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are part of something that is much vaster than any single person, any partnership, any one family, neighbourhood, country, continent and even the earth itself. We are a part of the universe and whatever anyone of us thinks, does, says, sings, plays, writes or otherwise expresses, even just to themselves and without anyone necessarily witnessing it, affects us all, energetically first and then physically down the track, in one way or another.’

  9. Gabriele, I really enjoyed reading this article about responsibility. What I have realised recently is that I am responsible for being myself – for being my tender, gentle, sensitive, calm and caring self and this realisation has supported me to stay present and to keep things simple.

    1. Beautiful Rebecca. I can feel the ripple effect of your choice of being you, it’s an act of responsibility that embraces all of us…it makes me realize that a loving choice brings the healing this world is needing and accelerates its evolution.

  10. To understand Energetic Responsibility is for me, to understand the fabric of the world so clearly. It shows me that I am not living in my own little world, not affecting anyone else by what I am doing, how I am speaking and how I am moving, but that in fact, I am affecting every single other member of planet earth by every single move I make. In the past I would have run a mile from the thought of more responsibility but these days I say yes to it, without any reluctance whatsoever.

    1. Greater responsibility makes us greater; it is expansive and evermore all-encompassing.

      1. I love this Gabriele – “Greater responsibility makes us greater”. It sure does, but what I really love is that greater responsibility doesn’t come with any push, drive, resentment or have to’s, but with a deep knowing and a joy, that by taking responsibility for our lives we are taking responsibility for all.

      2. Love this Gabriele. Accepting the part we all play, regardless of where we are and what we do, we can expand and evolve through taking greater energetic responsibility.

    2. I’m beginning to appreciate that we have a responsibility to be ourselves which in this day and age is hard because actually there is an unspoken edict woven into society that there are rules, step outside those rules and you are ostracized. I feel we are all playing games living in our own little worlds of make believe, we encourage each other to be self centered. When actually Ingrid what you say is the truth, that how we live affects everyone else on the planet. So we could say that we are living in total disregard of ourselves and therefore everyone else on the planet. So no amount of sticking plasters we as a collective put over something to hide what’s really going on underneath the plaster, until we all change nothing will change.

      1. SO true – until we all individually change, nothing will change – no matter the good intentions, big plans or ideals and beliefs.

      2. The world is drowning in ‘sticking plasters’ right now, but the wounds underneath keep on festering. I feel that it’s way past time to rip them all off and to take a long honest look at what lies underneath; the truth of how we have been living (existing) for such a very long time and the fact that it is not working.

      3. People are slowly stopping the use of sticking plasters, and are starting to become more aware, ‘ the more and greater awareness someone has, the more they initiate themselves’.

    3. Ingrid I wonder why are we not taught one of the main principles of life that we are not living in our own little world that there is the universe to consider, because the way we behave has a ripple effect on everyone and everything including the universe. How is it possible that we have reduced the stars and the universe which give us life to no significance at all?

    4. When I read your words Ingrid
‘to understand the fabric of the world ‘
I received an image of something like a large Spiders web and we are all part of this web so that any movement we make on the web vibrates out to everyone else living on the web. The web is discordant because we are not in harmony with ourselves or any other person. We are fooling ourselves if we think that what we do does not affect every other member of our society.

    5. Ingrid what if we were taught from day dot about energy and that every move we make every word we speak has an affect on the world, because everything is energy. If we were taught this from young then it wouldn’t feel like a responsibility but something that made total sense, When we are young we are so open to everything, but by the time we are adults we have mostly shut down that open heartedness and go on to live very protected lives.

    6. It is like we live in a huge lake and our every movement sends out ripples to the rest of the lake affecting it in one way or another.

  11. I have often approached things like this, needing to get things done, and if I stop to feel it really doesn’t sit well with me but there is this desire to have things finished so I have that feeling of achievement and I can relax. Why, though, let this tension into the body? It only grows and the relax gives momentary relief but the cycle then starts all over again….that coil gets wound up inside. …like an alarm clock ready to go off when the second is triggered…and it can get triggered if things don’t go well. Now whenever I get this ‘needing to get things done’ notion I allow myself more space, allow my body more space even and pay attention to my movements with a knowing that I am supported. This way I don’t need to relax because there is no tension there in the first place.

    1. I have noticed this need to relax but it is just a notion – why not work in a way that makes this kind of relief unnecessary? Why not swap the illusive and epheremal for the steadiness of consistency and flow?

  12. It’s a beautiful embrace feeling responsibility this way, to consider The All in the all that we do.

  13. Energetic responsibility is an enormous topic, especially because in general we are not even aware that energy is at play in everything we do, everything we touch and everything we are.

    1. In most cases, we prefer and elect the false and misguided ‘security’ of physical manifestation at the expense of our true innateness and our multidimensional beingness.

      1. There is a world of difference between feelings and emotions, the latter being the reactions to what we have felt, reactions to what we have not healed from our past and that which lies dormant, ready to get re-inflamed and lash out at the minutest provocation, so-assumed.

      2. Gabriele your spot on with your comment, ‘we prefer and elect the false and misguided ‘security’ of physical manifestation at the expense of our true innateness and our multidimensional beingness.’ I know this because I know that we prefer to just deal with the surface layer of life by just dealing with the physicality. We totally ignore the energy coming through the physical being and then we wonder why illness and disease is so rife in our society. Could it be we have such high rates of illness and disease because we are not willing to acknowledge that everything is energy first? How many of us have felt uncomfortable by anger being expressed through a person, well that’s an energy and we don’t seem to deal with energy very well because we react to the anger rather than dealing with why the energy of the anger is there in the first place.

  14. Energetic responsibility takes the word responsibility back to its essence and brings alive the components of purpose, love and commitment in how responsibility plays out in our day to day life.

  15. Is it possible that the greatest responsibility we have is to the universe that we live in? We all live within a living breathing universe that is continually expanding but how many of us stop to consider our part in all of this? How many of us struggle to get through the day and so intent are we on doing this we do not consider that there is more to life than what we are all currently living.

    1. There is always a bigger picture – and then there is the bigger picture of the bigger picture, etc. etc. The universe is forever expanding as does our responsibility increase.

  16. To make life about living the all that we are and nothing less, as best as we are able, is a divine responsibility we will all eventually return to.

  17. “Energetic Responsibility – How Responsible Are We Willing to Be?” – when we understand energetic responsibility we get to also understand just how irresponsible we have been and are.

    1. It can be a rude awakening when we realise the depth and breadth of energetic responsibility which, in fact, sets us free to be more of what and who we truly are.

    2. And that understanding is a big wake up call, but I wonder how many are willing to acknowledge the irresponsibility they have been, or are still, living in? Until we begin to own how irresponsible we have been, nothing in our lives, or in this world, will have the opportunity to change.

      1. I agree, honestly assessing where we are at, as an individual and as humanity, is the first step before anything can truly change.

      2. Ingrid I agree with you. I always felt I was a responsible adult, but to be responsible is a forever deepening experience. The more we are willing to be aware of the life beneath the surface of the society we live in, then we can see and feel how irresponsible we actually are. Being responsible for paying our tax returns on time are the baby steps that lead us to be responsible for our every move. For many people this is too much, they want the government or State to be responsible for them. This is how people then get caught living in a dictatorship because they have given their responsibility away. This is how Religion was able to take hold of society and rule because we have given our responsibility away for what seems a comfortable life.

      3. There is indeed a world of difference between responsibility as it is commonly understood and energetic responsibility; the latter for example might go into the detail of asking how we paid our income tax, not just whether we did or not.

  18. The reading of this was at a good time in my part in life. I thought I was being more responsible and yet there is another layer that impacts others and it needs further refining; energetic responsibility had changed and moved to another place. In other words I cannot stay in the comfort of I’m doing or being my part when there is more on offer. So I am being more, with a few wobbles here and there and I’m not backing down from this anymore.

  19. I must say I sometimes feel rather challenged by the energetic responsibility factor because it feels unsettling when I know I have forgone my responsibility, and I do know it is not something I can avoid or pretend that it does not exist, it keeps affecting everything and everybody anyway, so it is far wiser to accept the fact and get on with it and live in a way that does not cause the unsettlement within.

    1. We do know when we could have acted otherwise and more wisely and this feeling is very disturbing and unsettles us deeply. And like you say, it is far more harmonious and a lot healthier when we attend to things the way we deep down know is true, honest and serves all.

      1. Gabriele and Fumiyo I can relate to everything you are both saying, I found myself acting out of frustration not wanting to fully understand a situation, seeing the physicality not the energy coming through the body of someone. By not truly attending to the energy it affected everyone and the greatest lesson for me is that I cannot fight this energy with the same energy doing that creates more of the energy I don’t want in the world. I’m beginning to understand the saying of ‘turn the other cheek’ to forgo retaliation for hurts, because it does hurt to have someone yelling at you, if you only look at the person and not beyond them to the energy they are choosing. Read the energy and the game is up for it as then it has no hold. No reaction, no hurt, the energy has to dissipate as there is nothing for it to feed off.

      2. I agree, Mary – if we see the what instead of the who, then it becomes quite clear that it is the energy in the first instance and only then the person or the vehicle of expression letting it through.

  20. I can really relate with what you have shared here where there have been times when I have expressed to another in or from a control and not considering how the other person is feeling first or what I am asking etc is the right thing at the right time, however what I can appreciate is how I have started to connect with my heart more before expressing and so am naturally doing this less and I am more aware when I do do this.

    1. It’s an important point Vicky that by connecting with your heart first you are naturally in responsibility and considering the whole, otherwise we could attempt to do this as a trying without realising it is a natural part of our being.

    2. I used to express with my agenda in mind, as in this example of the blog, it now feels so unloving and even abusive to express in that manner.

    3. That is great Vicky, to connect with your heart first before you express to support you with responsibility for all.

  21. To be responsible we need to be very present and be able to read what is going on because only then can we respond appropriately….as we care for ourselves more deeply and our self-worth builds we are able to see more clearly what is happening, there is less self in the way and as we continue to connect with ourselves on an internal level renouncing the old beliefs and ideals that hold us back we naturally have the confidence to act when before we might have previously shunned our responsibility.

    1. Being present and connected is key to our authority, the ability to read and understand what is going on and then take responsibility for what is ours to be responsible for.

      1. I have found what you are saying Gabriele to be true, I have found that by being present with myself and staying connected to this beauty that I can now feel within me has opened a door way to a natural authority I had no idea was there as a part of me. In this authority no one can fool me because no matter what they say or do I can read the energy they are using which totally exposes them. I can smell a lie a mile away. Imagine if humanity regained access to this authority that is naturally within us, the world would change over night because no one could be fooled and the lies would be exposed.

  22. We need knowledge to learn the skills in life but we have used it to the detriment of our inner heart. Our inner heart is the place that offers the wisdom and truth of every situation in an instant, whereas knowledge wants to own it and make it something that we can control and make it our own

  23. We can be quick to blame and offset responsibility if someone has not done what we want or is not being who we need them to be – but what is powerful about this blog is that it asks us to take a look within before expressing out – that way what comes out is full of what is within and ultimately the need for people to be something or do something to makes us feel better about ourselves may no longer be there.

    1. I agree – it is best to connect first and feel how much self is involved in whatever it is we think we need to say, ask or stipulate. That way we avoid the reaction and can truly respond, in truth and from love.

    2. Rachel I got caught recently wanting someone to be the way I wanted them to be; projecting onto them my demands. I didn’t stop to consider I wanted my way, when I didn’t get it I went into a childish strop. Thankfully, I was brought out of this childish pattern by the other person not reacting to me but holding me with love so that we were able to pick apart the old pattern of feeling left out and the humiliation of feeling less and unwanted that was still held in my body from childhood. Letting go of these hurts enable us to nurture ourselves, so that we do not have to demand that others love us because we refuse to love ourselves.

  24. Control has been and still at times a fundamental core issue that caps and stops me from being content with the only every needing to know what is needed at any given point. Control makes you go much further down the line than necessary and they we are left not connected to the All to express exactly what is needed. The responsibility in that is huge and one we can only surrender to and say yes to.

  25. We all know responsibility in and out, but how many times have we chosen to oversee something just because another won’t see it or how many times have we performed not to the best of our abilities in something because it’s not for another but only for ourselves? This is all quite irresponsible because in the world of energy (and this is our world) everything is significant and everything has an impact, so the time when we turn a blind eye, the times we can’t be bothered are all moments which have an impact in one way or another to us and those around us – maybe even those who are not around us too.

    1. It suits us to believe that some things don’t matter or, at least, don’t matter as much as others when the fact is that, in a world where everything is energy before it is matter, everything matters equally, nothing is less important than anything else; and thus, it also does not make a difference whether the act is for oneself or others or whether it is seen and noticed or not.

      1. Gabriele we are educated and brought up to believe that what we do has to be recognised by our peers this gives us the attention we all crave as we are not truly met which leave us empty and sets up the craving for recognition and acceptance. We have seemingly set ourselves up to fail. I am finding the more I relearn to care of myself the less I need someone to recognise me, This is taking back my power from what other people think about me because I know me more than any other person possibly could. Which means I do not have to behave like a pretzel trying to please everyone in order to get any attention or recognition. So it doesn’t then matter if what I do is seen or not, I know I have done what needed to be done and that is enough.

  26. This is a beautiful offering for us to feel just how empowering and beholding true responsibility is. The more we bring awareness to how we are living and the quality and impact of our choices, the more we realise that we are living not just for ourselves but for us all.

  27. It has been my habit to wait for others to take the lead and to withdraw from my own responsibility. And it is coming back and slips in from time to time but I get the opportunity to experience from every angle what the consequences are for all when I hold back my truth. Being a part of humanity and of the bigger picture learns me to let go of this comfort and to return to energetic responsibility.

  28. These days I would say it comes down to how much we are willing to let go of the comfort we hold onto so tightly. All irresponsibility can be traced back to our investment in comfort.

    1. There is comfort in a certain level of temporal responsibility but when it comes to energetic responsibility, comfort does not have a leg to stand on.

  29. We are not only responsible for every breath that we breathe but also for the quality of that which we inspire and exhale through our lungs.

  30. Until we accept the grandness that we are and that we are not individuals but a very important part of a greater whole, we will continue to live in separation and miss out on the grandness we are.

    1. So true chanly88 for our grandness comes from our connection to everyone and everything, the all.

  31. Taking responsibility for ourselves is one of the most loving things that we can do.

  32. We do seem to wait for others to be responsible first as if holding the world to ransom – how arrogant is that! I know I have subscribed to this one and used situations to hold back and to be irresponsible. The trouble is it doesn’t serve anyone and is purely an excuse at the end of the day.

    1. True – we hold back taking the lead and living and reflecting how we can all live; and then we complain when the world is not like it could be, when life just sucks.

      1. Julie and Gabriele I have totally got caught in this silliness of wanting the world to get ‘it’ first say sorry and then I’ll come out of hiding. Like that’s going to happen, who is going to apologise? Holding back is irresponsible and disobedient to the call of what is needed in the world, so there is an arrogance and entitlement that I’ll do it my way, which is also a disobedience, then as you say Gabriele we complain when life sucks, life doesn’t suck but disobedience does.

  33. It can be challenging but I am learning how energetic responsibility is a great teacher and every time I say yes to more responsibility it also gives so much back in the sense of ease in my body and joy in connecting with other people. More freedom to clearly see and then clearly choose how to live life.

  34. ‘There is a vastness to connect back to’ that is where we are equal, unified and absolutely clear about our purpose. A million miles away from our current form of life.

    1. A million miles away yet right under the tip of our nose, should we choose to make the necessary adjustments in the way we live so we can once again attune ourselves to this beauty.

  35. Responsibility is always about the whole picture, and to be truly responsible means taking everything, every part, into account. It’s never about what we think someone else needs us to do. When we take responsibility for expressing and communicating what and how we really and truly feel about things, based on what we feel from within, no matter how ugly, raw or messy it might feel or be, we actually support ourselves and everyone else.

    1. We can’t wait for other people to be responsible or use their lack thereof as an excuse for not being it, responsible that is. It is up to everyone individually and the many individuals will then, over time, turn this trend of shirking responsibility around, all of us for all of us.

  36. This ‘energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations’ – this has been an interesting one for me. I used to be caught in the emotional aspect of communication, I could feel the tone of my voice, it would be harsh as I spoke tainted with the anger, frustration etc. Before I did not care who it was projected to, I was in my hurts so I needed others to know and feel my pain too so they could understand me.

Since attending Serge Benhayon’s workshops, I slowly started to feel this harshness of my voice in my own body but the awareness that the other person would feel it too and I questioned myself, what was I reflecting to the other person?

Over time I’ve observed the steadiness I possess in my voice and soon feel it jarring my body when I become caught in the calamities around me.
I know there is more to refine but appreciate how far I have come from a woman who used to be emotional in her body and voice, to a woman who is now steady when she speaks and how glorious it is for others to see and feel.

    1. A voice is very powerful. It can either resonate in our body and in others’ or it can shut us and them down.

  37. “Wait a moment: the more and greater awareness someone has, the more they initiate themselves – the more responsibility they have?” – this statement stood out for me when I read this blog for the first time. To me this is saying the more I become aware of what is playing out amongst us all, so humanity, the more I am responsible in how I am in this part too, so it is never ending!…..That is a wowser.
This responsibility is a big one at the end of the day for all. It is the equivalent of people throwing rubbish out of their cars as they are driving with no care what and who it affects because people think someone else will take care of it.

I am by far not perfect but I have been paying attention to many things that I do in my everyday living and the statement quoted, was a gentle reminder that this responsibility becomes refined further and further, so it doesn’t end in one thing but the all.

    1. And this holds true the other way around as well … the more energetically and universally responsible we are, the more we initiate ourselves, i.e. the more our awareness increases.

  38. This is an inspiring reading this morning, thank you Gabriele. When we consider ourselves to be part of the All, there is no room for the irresponsibility of me, myself and I because everything matters and has a ripple effect out to the farthest reaches of the universe. Let’s not play small anymore…

    1. Sounds good to me Janet, and ‘Let’s not play small anymore…’ is so important to remember because when we understand energetic responsibility we also understand how deeply connected we all are.

  39. This article reveals that really there is nothing we do not know and therefore all we do us with reason or purpose. It takes an enormous amount of willingness to be responsible to admit to this fact.

  40. The responsibility to be aware of our responsibility in the way we live in every moment.

  41. With more awareness comes greater energetic responsibility – this is something I am beginning to feel and taste more and more, not something to shy away from as we are all part of this grand plan, understanding this allows us to surrender to this truth.

  42. This is brilliant… the point that everything we do, whether people witness it or not, has an impact… basically there are no secrets and it is better to live aware of this, than in the illusion that we can ‘get away with’ what we do behind closed doors.

    1. In a world where everything is energy before it is matter, everything matters – whether it has been witnessed or not. All impacts us and all we do, say, think, plot or plan, carry through or abandon. There is ‘no escape’ and it is the ultimate love and, for lack of a better word, justice.

    2. Very well said Matilda and this illusion is what causes us much misery and pain as it goes against the very nature of our being and therefore we are in constant tension. Instead of allowing ourselves to return to love, we tend to seek various ways to numb what we feel as a result of irresponsible choices.

  43. I’m am deepening my understanding of the word responsibility and what it entails. There is such a depth to the word, just when I feel I have grasped the concept I find there is another layer to surrender to, this is just one word I know I will be surrendering to until the day I pass over.

  44. Thank you for bringing in responsibility. I noticed this morning that I was dozing off at the computer. What was going on? I had boiled the kettle for tea but in between time been to the cupboard and started snacking on a mix of seeds that I had “treated” myself to from the health food shop. I had completely forgotten about the tea. Thing is I had gone into automatic and just munched away…gone back into an old habit of disregard and it made me sleepy.Such a little thing but actually a big thing and brilliant to notice before I did even more damage! And also good to clock that I had regarded them as treats and something I deserved in the first place. I had been feeling very clear and full of energy so a little bit of self sabotage coming in here.I knew at the time not to buy those seeds but went ahead anyway. Being responsible I would have gone to the health food shop and stayed with my purpose and just bought what I went there to buy, noticing the distraction, knowing that it was just that, and left the seeds on the shelf.

  45. For me one of the greatest forms of irresponsibility is pretending that I do not know. Do not know about our connection to God, about the impact we have, about our true purpose…

    1. We think it serves us to play dumb and pretend we don’t know – thus delaying responsibility for the greater all that we are, after all, undeniably a part of.

  46. Great question: how willing are we to be responsible? :
    for
    our actions
    our quality of breathe
    our quality of energy
    our conversations
    our non-verbal and verbal- communications
    our movements
    the thoughts we let in
    the intentions we have
    etc. etc.
    This is our great responsibility.

  47. The answer depends on to what we consider our universe to be. The closer to self, what we may assume responsibility for is limited to my own created universe. It is only when you understand that since we live in a sea of energy, our created universe is not a boundary for anything and that there are not boundaries for energy, that the true journey starts because we are constantly moving energy and this which we move goes and impacts others. Energetic responsibility is asking us to be aware of our movements.

    1. Energetic responsibility goes far beyond the reaches of our little self and our movements either harm or heal, far and wide.

  48. I have recently had a big, and at the time rather uncomfortable, lesson about ‘what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth’. It certainly shocked me, as it shocked the others who heard it. But once out there is no pulling the words or the energy back in, only the acknowledgment of what just happened and the acceptance and the appreciation of the learning that comes with it. And the learning is the fact that we are totally responsible for every expression we make, in whatever form we make it in; there are no exceptions.

    1. I can certainly relate to this; I’ve had a couple of ‘off’ days recently as regards to what and how I expressed and all I can do is to retrace my steps and mop up, undo and set things right and true.

  49. How sweet is this – the inner heart will feel everything just so it can understand something. How selfless is that, the inner heart really does consider the all before making it about the benefit of the self.

  50. We are part of the all equally-so and yet spend a vast majority of our lives avoiding energetic responsibility by hanging onto making it all about the individual, who thinks it knows it all, but in truth knows nothing without the connection to the vastness we are.
“And who would want to, once it is known and understood that there is a vastness to connect back to that allows us to know what we need to know at any given moment – no more and no less?”

  51. Thank you Gabrielle, for it shows the evil of our deceit of ‘not’ knowing. And how much there is for us to re-connect to all that we know and express that. Smoothly so, as we whole-heartily know.

    1. I feel Danna that what you are sharing is that we are all returning to something we have always known. How deceitful we are when we say we don’t know, when in fact if we aligned to the universe we would know. So what alignment are we choosing soul/Universe or spirit/deceit?

  52. The more we come to understand, the more we realise how much more there is to understand – or, the more we are aware, the more we realise there is so much more to be aware of.

  53. A totally different book because you have retraced a lot of your unloving steps of the past, may I suggest. Everything is there, everything is always there but it is our readiness and willingness, our WILL in other words, that makes the difference. Would you agree?

  54. ‘We are a part of the universe and whatever anyone of us thinks, does, says, sings, plays, writes or otherwise expresses, even just to themselves and without anyone necessarily witnessing it, affects us all, energetically first and then physically down the track, in one way or another.’
This took quite a time for me to accept. Why couldn’t I have ‘me time’ or how could something I did to myself affect us all? With truly accepting and knowing that I am part of the universe something shifts and awareness deepens.

    1. It makes us more responsible and ultimately, more power-full. Meaning that we claim more and more of the power that is innate rather than having to go out to get it.

  55. It feels like we are just touching the sides Gabriele. You have to clearly define what truth is to know what is energetic truth. Words are thrown around these days with no true meaning. Energy comes from the universe or it comes from own creation if we so wish – the wish of individuality instead of the will of the all the universe. The difference for me when I feel truth is, I feel an expansiveness and I feel more, else it is a self-created ideal it feels like I own it e.g.. emotions.

  56. Focusing on the part and not on the whole we lose sight of the big picture, but even when we have done it and focused on self, just be aware of that and surrender to it. This is precious.

    1. You must be talking about nominating what has occurred and naming the energy, the energy of self in this instance. Nomination is a powerful tool that can, all by itself and based on absolute honesty, shift a lot in this age.

  57. I think often we’re willing to be responsible in a crisis or a big situation when we know our actions impact another, but we tend to be more complacent in the smaller moments – say at home cooking dinner or doing the washing where we don’t tend to clock that every movement, word and thought is still impacting everyone around us – it’s simply a matter of bringing responsibility to every moment.

    1. It suits us to think that we can turn responsibility on and off and that some things or moments are more important than others – to not fall back onto that notion, which is pure escapism and comfort, requires responsibility and consistency.

  58. We all have a level of awareness of what is harmful and what is not. We all know that hurting another is dreadful yet we often choose to close our eyes when we chuck something on the street, dismissing the fact that it affects other human beings. We choose to keep quiet, when we know that will lead to another person being abused, and we choose to hide in our homes away from people because things in the world can get too hectic. Yet, we all want things to change but how many of us are willing to make the change first?

    1. We mainly wait until something affects us personally and then we jump up and down because there is no support and no backing because, as part of those who do not speak up, we haven’t ever spoken up and have thus contributed to the morass.

    2. I love how you bring throwing rubbish onto the street into this discussion – it’s a great metaphor for what we do everyday, discarding our rubbish in a way that harms others. It’s the same as thinking it’s ok to walk around angry – our anger has an effect on people the same as rubbish on the street does. One day we’ll realise that every little thing we do has an impact on someone else, and sometimes that impact can be truly awful.

  59. I love how true responsibility is always all-encompassing, it considers everyone and everything and will never be just about what we need to get done or said.

  60. What is so beautiful to feel from all that you have presented here Gabriele, is that energetic responsibility offers us to the opportunity to deepen our relationship with love, the love we are, to living with greater love in our lives and with all. How can this ever be considered a negative as in this world today this is everything that is needed, right now.

  61. “The responsibility Serge talks about goes far beyond social responsibility or any other conveniently sectioned off and delineated responsibilities.. ” – yes Gabriele, we can be a good responsible citizen, or in positions of responsibility via our job title/position though without the element of energetic responsibility – being responsible for what we and our bodies are emitting to affect us and everyone else in the process – we are only leading and being responsible blind; with our eyes closed. Being energetically aware and responsible gives us the sight and vision to truly lead and to be truly responsible.

    1. Energetic responsibility far exceeds any kind of temporal responsibility I had ever taken into consideration; energetic responsibility is a game changer.

  62. It can be very confronting, the outcome of our actions on everything and everybody around us, but as you say, it is also very liberating and in the end, matter of fact.

  63. “The inner-heart will feel everything just so it can know something.” A beautiful some up of everything being interconnected and no part standing on its own ever. In dissecting this quote the workings of the universe are revealed.

    1. Reading this quote again and again and actually letting myself feel it in my body… let the words really sink in… it is amazing to realise that everything is represented within us and that this supports the everyday choices and decisions we make.

  64. Underneath all the trying, the being good, the doing good and the wanting and hoping, is a plain resistance to true responsibility: owning up to the fact that we have been playing a game, thinking we were in control while all along being played ourselves.

    1. We are the rats in a cage in the laboratory and the spirit is the scientist in the white lab coat and with the equipment, testing this and testing that and making sure that things stay pretty much as they have been since creation began.

      1. true Gabriele, I also like to compare it with puppets and the puppet player, where the puppets think they are moving on their own, by their own choice and decision, but in truth we are made to move by the puppet player of our choice, which in most cases is our spirit who is enjoying playing God over puppets.

      2. Yes, our spirit is somewhat bombastic and thinks it is ‘it’, as presented by Serge Benhayon many times since 1999.

  65. Brilliant Gabriele and so true. We can choose to live in a box of frustration, resentment and anger or access the vast majesty of the all. We still can communicate and pull each other up but when it comes naturally it’s with an understanding that we are all divine. That’s the only truly responsible way to live.

  66. Are we willing to give our all and not hold anything back? Yesterday clearing piles of papers in my office I realised how much I hold back and how much more there is to contribute. It felt very uncomfortable but now I am ready to start a new leaf so to speak and with quality before quantity get to work on what I found to be incomplete.

  67. The thing is if we want something to look a certain way, as with the example of getting things done around the property, it is our picture and others can feel this as it creates a tension. I had something similar, in my need to have order the more I pushed, the less was done, and when I realised this, I could drop it. Now they are free to just get on with what needs doing.

    1. We push and push and push and never once question the energy we are doing it in and with, and how that is for the recipient/s of our misguided administration/s.

      1. … or whether they are tripping, stumbling, cut or otherwise injured.

  68. Often I think responsibility is presented as being about what we do and/ or don’t do – so just about our physical actions. For me Universal Medicine has really highlighted the value and impact of the way in which we do things – the quality behind what we are doing, in every part of our lives, equally how we are with ourselves as to how we are with everyone else.

  69. Good point about a little knowledge being a dangerous thing; it’s a bit like not taking the blinkers off and seeing only what we want to see.

  70. There is something about this article that really touches me every time. When we talk about the vastness that we are part of, I get to realise/remember this feeling that is totally natural and it is very inspiring in terms of wanting then to make sure I am living with this awareness.

  71. I’m just beginning to have an inkling of what it is to connect to the universe, and it is not such a responsibility at all, I feel it’s just to make sure that I treat the space all around me with deep respect because the space I feel is the body of God.

  72. To be in relationship with the grand whole of life means we can attend to the details with sureness and confidence, seeing their placed impact in the whole. This is the magic of responsibility.

  73. Gabriele you raise some great points here, I was particularly drawn to ‘Why am I expressing so forcefully? What is going on for me?’ Because I caught myself doing that the other day, and no surprise I got a forceful reply back. I had to stop and take a step back and feel into what was at play, and resolve what was going on for me, as I have a responsibility to myself and others.

    1. Likewise when we are greeted by force in a conversation. We do not have to meet that force with anything more or less than grace, in other words with the love and truth, stillness, harmony and joy that we are on an energetic level.

  74. Thank you Gabriele this writing is a great reminder , we are responsible in knowing the all and therefore responsible for its expression.

  75. It is so important to know when and where and if at all to address an issue with another. Sometimes it just needs to be resolved in ourselves and there is no need to bring it up with the other.

  76. Brilliant blog Gabriele, I have always thought I was a responsible person and on many levels I am, however I am discovering there is a greater deeper sense of responsibility and that is the awareness that we are all part of something much grander than we can for this moment comprehend, but that doesn’t mean it is not so. And for me knowing there is something much grander then I can for now understand doesn’t matter, just knowing it is there and we are not alone and separate as we think we are. We are in fact just not choosing to feel the everything that is there, that seems a bit daft but it’s true.

    1. “And for me knowing there is something much grander then I can for now understand doesn’t matter, just knowing it is there and we are not alone and separate as we think we are.” – Your comment here, Mary, helped me to see how sometimes if I don’t understand or have a full awareness of how something works energetically I will get in my head about it to try to ‘figure it out’ instead of merely feeling that it is there to connect to (like the Grandness of where we are all from) and being patient about allowing the time to get there.

  77. Thank you Gabriele. Understanding the ‘bigger picture’ of being part of the universe and being so much more than just a human being, brings clarity to the fact that everything we express in movement, speech, thought and action affects the all – true energetic responsibility is to live from this knowing.
‘”We are a part of the universe and whatever anyone of us thinks, does, says, sings, plays, writes or otherwise expresses, even just to themselves and without anyone necessarily witnessing it, affects us all, energetically first and then physically down the track, in one way or another”.

  78. It’s interesting how easily I can go into ‘it’s too hard’ but your last paragraph attends to this by showing how gorgeous it is to live in surrender to the vastness of the connection to the universe that is what needs to be the focus.

  79. I can feel that I slip into this ‘it’s all about me’ mentality often. When I want something done my way on my deadline, it’s difficult to imagine the needs of one other person let alone the ‘All’. I’m going to keep an eye on this one and see where it pops up.

  80. Energetic responsibility is a very powerful movement and gets rid of any vestiges of victim mode and behaviour, thus a very liberating move – in other words, the buck stops here, as they say.

  81. The Way of Initiation by Serge Benhayon is the most wonderful book and certainly unfolds a far greater understanding in relation to energetic responsibility and much, much more. Embracing energetic responsibility is tremendously joyful and empowering.

  82. If we are all interconnected to each other and the all that we are from and are a part of, then the very act of delineating ourselves as an ‘individual’ is simply a move we make that seemingly absolves us of the responsibility we each have for maintaining the integrity of this Whole. It is our way of saying ‘you are over there and I am here and what I do in my bubble does not affect you in your bubble, unless of course our bubbles collide and we have a situation that may need addressing’. This is why comfort is the bedrock of evil because we have an unwritten contract amongst us that says: ‘if you do not burst my bubble then I will not burst yours’. Hence why we champion individuality and all the security (but zero evolution) this ‘bubble’ of comfort offers us.

    1. Funny I just wrote this on another comment: “In truth and love we meet as one – therefore there is no truth and love in separation” but it seems to fit here too.

  83. Force is the hallmark that we have disconnected from our bodies. Warmth, ease and flow are the signature of simplicity, Love and being you and me. Responsibility is our job to align to the truth and not entertain any energetic games. Thank you Gabriele.

  84. “How responsible are we willing to be?” – this ought to be a question that we ask ourselves every day as a way of checking in with ourselves and how we are going through life. If we are honest with our answers then we can use it as a way to know what is needed next for us.

  85. Like masquerades or charades the stories we get fed in our head are easy for us to identify as lies. We can entertain them, or explore these roads and see what follows. But honestly we do know they are absolutely fabricated lies that are nothing to do with the truth. So as you show Gabriele it really is a question of how reckless we wish to be with indulging in this sophistry.

  86. I love the way you link responsibility with awareness here Gabrielle – the more aware we become the more we know and the more power we have and so there is a greater responsibility to live in respect of the awareness or knowing and then the more we accept this responsibility the more awareness and knowing is available. It is a beautiful symbiotic cycle.

  87. It is super inspiring to be able to stop and feel the whole situation and not be pulled into by a hurt to react–deeply inspiring to feel the space and to be able to see clearly and choose.

  88. Thank God (literally) that we can’t avoid the ALL, why would we want to and imagine if we could. We may appear to be able to at times but always the pull will be back to the one that contains the all.

  89. “Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.” One day this will be known and understood by everyone. However for now, those who have this knowledge can live it and so reflect out to others, who may just become inspired.

  90. What a powerful bog Gabriele! A friend of mine once said, we have to express for the other person , not ourselves. I really like that, because when we make it about us, or in your case ticking a box, there is no connection at all. I often remind myself of that, since then I communicate totally different. Even less words than before very often, because I check in what the person needs, and not what I am able to read and could proudly present.

    1. That is very inspiring and totally turns the table on wanting or needing to express for one’s own sake, to be seen as smart, knowing or even wise. And as you say, it is then often a case of fewer words rather than a whole litany.

  91. We are a part of the all so our every movement effects the all, this is why energetic responsibility is super important.

  92. “The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”
    – This reminds me that there is a big element of surrender to deepening our responsibility; to being open to listening to our whole body and being and discerning what we are feeling as we then know the response that it needed, rather than trying to meet a picture that we have in our head of how we think things should be or want them to be…

  93. This in itself is a great one to reflect on “The inner-heart knows the whole Before it expresses about any part.”

  94. As you have shared we cannot avoid our relationship with energetic responsibility and the fact that we are intrinsically part of an incredibly magnificent whole – ‘the all in the All’ which is love. And so, in our resistance to embracing our responsibility we are effectively in an abusive relationship with ourselves and as such with all. And this is what is magnified through our movements, our words, our behaviours, actions and intentions. There is so much more for us to be aware of and this is where our willingness to align to truth is what allows us to move with the love that represents and embraces us all.

  95. Thank you so much, Gabriele – your commentary has really helped me to understand what this quote offers and that is exactly what I had to learn. I can really feel how it is not possible to truly understand something without taking everything into consideration, and how ‘my truth’ can be a purely subjective opinion and fall short of its claim.

  96. I’m finding that responsibility isn’t a finite thing – there’s always more for us to see in the way that we live and are with others, it’s something we can continually refine and be more aware of…

    1. Yes agreed Fiona – in saying ‘yes’ to responsibility we say ‘yes’ to evolution and as such we say ‘yes’ to be more of who we divinely are here to be for all. It’s a win, win, win situation.

  97. “Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.” and the more we delay that which is inevitable the more we prolong the suffering and complexities of life but why wait when we can have access to such level wisdom within ourselves capable of dispelling the lies and corruptions of this world?

  98. With great awareness, comes great responsibility. It would seem that as humans we often want the awareness in bucket loads for free. Allowing ourselves to feel the truth in this, allows us to feel the degree of the ‘self’ that has entered the equation. We do not advance our initiation (increase our awareness) for the sake of our ‘self’, we advance it for the evolution of all others – an act with very little to no self in it. It is always the part (self) moving in consideration to the whole it is a part of.

  99. “The inner-heart knows the whole
Before it expresses about any part.”
This is profound as it teaches us to sit with our own inner knowing before we express so our expression can be in full and not half baked, so as to speak. This brings us back to the importance of giving ourselves the space to express in our full integrity and to understand the harm we do when we allow ourselves to mouth off from the mind.

  100. “From that I can’t but conclude that energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.” This is great Gabriele, and may I add that what we put into our mouth is a responsibility that our body will give us feed back on, and we are prepared to listen to it the messages are immediate.

  101. I remember at a Universal Medicine presentation hearing about Energetic Responsibility for the first time and how what we want can be imposing on another if it does not take in the bigger picture. Take a simple example, someone burst into the room very excitedly and shares their big news with their friends. That person is expecting them to shared that excitement. But often what happens is that we don’t ‘clock’ the energy of the room and our friend before we do that and see that our friend might not be in a position to do that, or feel that, and their excitement may not be what is needed for them right now. And I could see that this could be imposing on another.

  102. I loved what you have shared Gabriele, especially the understanding of Serge’s words on energetic responsibility, when we come from the inner heart we know the all and the wisdom comes through us to relate in this manner, but when the mind is involved it can only work in parts as it is in parts itself separated from the whole.

  103. “Energetic responsibility is the all in the all” This is something that we have been not wanting to feel most of us for many lifetimes. We as humanity still need to understand this, currently we are not.

  104. We can no longer remain ignorant to the fact of energetic responsibility, as the current statistics of disease and illness tells us the way we are living is simply not working.

  105. I’m recognising more just how simple energetic responsibility is, we all know it from our body it’s just how willing we are to consistently live it….

  106. Sometimes I fight with the idea of taking more responsibility in my life. I find the way to struggle with it by convincing me that I can’t cope with more ‘work’ and then I have the perfect excuse to not holding the next level of awareness, which doesn’t have to do with things to ‘do’, but with surrendering much more to the grandness that I really am and the opportunity of sharing it with others… responsibly, which means claiming my part within the All and allowing its expression sincronised with everyone and everything.

    1. In our mind, we always make it about the doing first rather than about the being; being who we truly are.

  107. This takes me to an evening I just had with Serge Benhayon and many students of The Way of The Livingness. It comes back to our responsibility to read a situation energetically. When this is done, self gets out of the way, and our movements are taken in response to the reading. We can choose to respond in reaction by not accepting our awareness which is not taking responsibility. Or we can take responsibility that we can read and then move in response to this responsibility.

    1. Very true. In any situation we have the ability to respond or react. One will take us deeper into God, the other will take us further away. If we look at the word ‘responsibility’ (response-ability) it tells us that it is our ‘ability to respond’. How gorgeous is that?

      1. Liane, you are a true master of words. Allowing words to speak the truth they have always held.

      2. Response-ability is absolutely gorgeous versus React-ability which often has us gorging and certainly is not gorgeous.

  108. I really like that exposing that we think that when we are in our own space, house, wherever we are, we are never alone and it is plain for all to see in the quality of our movements, interactions and choices.

  109. Our understanding of responsibility dictates when it begins and when does it end (if it does at all). That is why we can all claim to be responsible even though we are not talking about the same or being equally responsible.

  110. “Why no more? Because it is never about knowledge as such, or any individual, but about the All and what is needed in a particular situation and setting.”
We cannot know, truly know without having felt what precisely is needed in the moment we find ourselves. Whilst being deeply humbling, this is also the foundation of true love, and as such powerful beyond my understanding.

  111. This is a great blog, I am saving it in my word document for further and continued reading. I have been resisting initiating and feel this to be very supportive. Thank you Gabriele.

  112. To think that I had no knowledge of Energetic Responsibility before connecting with Serge Benhayon and his presentations of the Ancient Wisdom. I know now how very important it is for all of us to be aware of what we say and think and the way this impacts on others.

    1. I agree; once we know it is a no-brainer and Energetic Responsibility makes sense and explains why the world we like to complain about is as it is and that we all contribute to it, in many more ways than we might like to consider.

  113. How wonderfully amazing to know and live with the inner heart and the truth that it provides of the all so that we can know the truth before we express the part.

  114. “Why am I expressing so forcefully? What is going on for me?
Are relationships not more important than just getting boxes ticked?”
These are questions that I want to encourage within my daily life and it is very supportive to hear them in written words. Its all to often that I place the importance on what needs to be done, over what relationship is in front of me and what is the most supportive thing to be shared in any given situation. Thank you for your beautiful blog.

    1. We so easily focus on function and getting things done over the connection to our body and truly meeting another/others – and we are all much worse off for it, mentally, emotionally and physically.

  115. “The inner-heart will feel everything – Just so it can know something.” Appreciating the all that the inner heart feels and with that we are then able to understand what is going on in ourselves or another and then approach the situation with incredible love and tenderness. Any thoughts that we aren’t enough simply don’t exist. So if thoughts come in this is great because it indicates there is more space in my heart to lovingly appreciation.

  116. When in conection to the inner-heart we understand life is a constant flow that is always encouraging us to come together as one, once we surrender to it everything is given to us in order to be more of who we truly are.

  117. It is just the ignorance to the fact that we all are part of the bigger whole and that through our inner heart we know everything about life and beyond, that makes us make life so complex. All this is simply reflected to us on a daily basis for instance by our nowadays societies that are far from simple and show the ugliness of what complexity does to us.

    1. Complexity is a jail sentence and only exists because of our need for recognition and self-importance, if not vaingloriousness.

  118. “Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway”. Indeed Gabriele who would want to avoid energetic responsibility once we are aware and understand the vastness, knowledge and wisdom we have access to.

  119. Agreed Brendan – very simply said. It’s ok and very natural to want more – thus is evolution continually pulling us to be more – but that more needs to be about a whole living way and not just a part that we want success or glorification for.

  120. That’s it – our responsibility does’t stop anywhere. We are consistently being asked to be responsible in everything we do. We need to expand our understanding of responsibility and know that it goes beyond tasks and day-to-day activities.

    1. Yes it is really important that we live the true definition of responsibility; understanding that everything we do, whether seen by others or not, has an impact on us all… everything is connected.

  121. It is part of our responsibility to embrace the power of our reflection, as if we are not moving with that quality in our bodies we will create situations that will confirm how everything is a struggle and complication overriding, that which is from truth

  122. I have always seen that this world is in trouble and that the way we live does not feel natural.

When I found the School of the Ancient Wisdom (as brought through by Serge Benhayon) what I felt was confirmed to me; that humanity is in trouble because we are not living in our ‘true way’ or we are not feeling who we truly are so not being truly with ourselves or each other; we are living less-than-the-full-truth-of-who-we-are.

To me, the real lie, the big lie and the greatest irresponsibility we have all been a part of is walking around in a way that hides our immense beauty, sensitivity and love.
For example: I realize that I have thought it ‘safer’ to identify in depression and low functionality than to be the amazing person I truly am…

Finding ways to ‘adapt’ to a world that does not accept us in our fullness only deeper cements a societal environment in which we do not feel safe to be who we are…
…so what will change this cycle of oppression; what will change our world?

Perhaps the answer is obvious, we just don’t want to see it?
Perhaps we been walking away from ourselves and each other instead of walking toward love/responsibility?

As a student of The Way of The Livingness who is learning to live more and more true to my own inner heart, I am aware of how little or how much we let others ‘in’, how little or much love we choose to share.
Yes, as hard as we have made it to be, being love is still a choice we can make.

Nothing compares to connecting with another without the layers of unresolved hurts and all manner of ‘pretense’ and guards in the way in the form of accumulated protections (mannerisms).

When I meet those who openly share the beauty and love that they, in truth, are it is a huge reminder that I am equally that love and beauty too and I feel permission to let go of my hurts and learn to be open and share myself too.

Is it possible that what we are sharing on this blog site about our experience could be that different way forward that humanity has not yet tried?

  123. There is a beauty in how energetic responsibility always brings us back to our part in the all – bringing us back to the fact that we are forever connected and in relationship with everyone – it helps us to take any blinkers off and recognise that there is always a bigger picture we are a part of…

  124. Reading your blog today Gabrielle confirms for me the ever deepening, awareness and understanding of my energetic responsibility; and to realise that everything matters in claiming energetic responsibility, absolutely everything.

  125. Thank you Gabriele for a great blog on responsibility, at the moment these words are important to me as I am becoming aware of how i speak and what I am saying in my expression, is it coming from my inner wisdom which takes in the all or coming from my mind which is about self.”From that I can’t but conclude that energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.”

    1. It just confirms that everything matters, whether seemingly big or small. It gets to a point when we know with absolute certainty that there is no time ‘off’ and no switch and it actually is a glorious way to live.

  126. So are we responsible when no one is looking? That is always a question that has interested me. Surely it does not matter as its not having an effect on others, but boy oh boy it does matter. Its the ground on which everything is built, the truth of who is really in charge: spirit or soul. Its been a great if somewhat exposing journey.

  127. How many of us live with the responsibility that we need to reflect to humanity that we are divine beings living in a human body and that we here for one purpose only, to reflect this to all so that we can all return to were we came from.

  128. It is our responsibility to be energetically responsible and live with a quality that makes integrity the foundation of all that we do.

  129. I can so relate to this blog. When things ‘have to’ get done in business lots falls by the wayside in regards to the whole picture, considering people and how everything we do and how we do it affects the all. This is where true responsibility lies.

    1. Driven by the push ‘to get things done’ is, to quote a friend of mine, like trying to cut a peach with a sledge hammer – we will succeed, but at what price?

      1. Gabriele, this was brought home to me recently. I still find it difficult to stay in the present, when my mind hops forward to the next or backwards to the past. Like refurbishing a room, and before the foundational one stage is completed, we move on to the next or want to buy items for the finished room. There is value in waiting until one stage is completed and from there feel what is needed next. This, I find connects me more to an unfolding process, its a stepping back, does not impose or try to make something happen.

  130. Practicing energetic responsibility is a most amazing gift we can give to ourselves. Our body responds with balance and harmony which is the result of living truly.

    1. Its true, our body does respond in what I’ve found quite surprising ways. Who knew that to live like this would so fundamentally change the way I feel inside, and allow me to be so much more open and unprotected in my relationships with the rest of the world….

  131. Blaming others strikes me as a reaction and means that we declare ourselves to be help- and powerless, unable (or should that be unwilling?) to change the situation.

  132. Responsibility is definitely not a tick box exercise where we can work on it, gain it as a skill and tick the box. Instead it is forever expanding as we deepen our understanding and awareness of life, so it can never be gained only forever deepened.

  133. “The inner-heart knows the whole
Before it expresses about any part.

    The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”

I love this Ageless Wisdom quote from Serge Benhayon. It shows how the wisest and most responsible way is for me to live connected to and in accordance to my inner heart.

  134. So true Gabriele – responsibility is about awareness. Being aware of others and that how we are with ourselves and our choices has an effect on humanity means that energetic responsibility comes naturally.

  135. Lately I have seen how I do this to ‘I basically brushed it aside – I needed done what I thought needed doing, right there and then.’ ticking things off of a tick/to do list but not feeling into or taking full responsibility of the quality in which this is done and taking full energetic responsibility with it This is not something to beat myself up over rather great to have this awareness in order that I can change it. Thank you for sharing what you have here; it’s been really helpful.

  136. It’s interesting to ponder on the relationship with increasing awareness and responsibility for all of our choices in how we live. On a surface level it sounds terrible, a weight, a burden, but it’s actually the opposite. If we look at human life now on earth and how we are living, we are not travelling well at all and in some circumstances the level of responsibility is not even at a basic level and this is regarded as normal or ‘just life’. The more loving choice we make in our lives, the more we want to make as we can see how this ripples out to all things and people in our life. How could this not be a joyous thing?

  137. ‘From that I can’t but conclude that energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.’ I love being reminded of this because I am working on deepening my awareness and responsibility around how I express in all situations.

  138. Gabriele I can certainly relate to wanting to control everything around ourselves. For me what I can see is that if everything looks ok then it must be ok, but this is not true. What is the need for things to look a certain way? For things to be done my way? I can certainly feel with this that I have not connected to the whole, that the part has become everything or more so the focus. So when the part becomes the focus I am unable to see the whole that this part is apart of. I am getting something out of this though – a sense of identification; lets make it all about me and my way. I appreciate your final question….”How responsible are we willing to be?” Am I willing to step out of that which is self-serving and feel the all, rather than just the part?

  139. About the all and what is needed in a particular situation that is just it Gabriele, and reading today I can feel how good it is to be reminded that it is not about me and what I want but about how we all are together, the all, and that how that may look may not fit any picture I have.

    1. I agree – the pictures we have, i..e. our expectations, presumptions and at times even demands, have no room once we know that it is always about all of us and the bigger picture.

  140. I love how you say that “… there is a vastness to connect back to that allows us to know what we need to know at any given moment – no more and no less?” – a vastness that encompasses all of us equally and that gives us the wisdom to truly handle whatever situation we are presented with.

  141. So responsibility is not static and thus the question you ask “How Responsible Are We Willing to Be?” is so very befitting. It is never about following the rules but our willingness to see and go the next step.

  142. If everything is energy then it only makes sense that we have a responsibility in it all? Its like finding out there is air and then denying the fact we breathe. We can choose to be freaked out by responsibility but it’s no difference to being freaked out by breathing all of the time, 24/7, that to some might sound like a lot but everyone breathes, energetic responsibility just begs the question; in what quality are you doing it?

  143. “The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”

    I love this.. commitment plus.

  144. “How responsible are we willing to be?” would be a great question to have on our bedside table to wake up to every morning! Just so we don’t ever forget that we’re responsible always at all points in time.

  145. “The inner-heart will feel everything just so it knows something.” Could it be we have to take the time to feel the all so we know the sum of it’s parts, and to know when something that is appropriate to address in any given situation?

  146. “Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.” when we understand the meaning of this, we cannot but feel the power within for being part and in constant communication with the universe.

  147. When we recognise that we are a part of a vast universe, and that everything is an energetic state of being, so our thoughts, actions behaviours etc are also included in this, one eventually has to look at what trail or imprint they leave behind. Its like cooking in the kitchen and not washing up after, over and over again… Eventually you walk in and see the mess you have made and can’t cook unless you clear the deck and wash up. Same applies to the way we live life.

    1. Yes, everything leaves a trail, every single movement begets more of the same until we change the source that is impulsing it.

  148. And expand responsibility out from the self-created pockets of personal responsibilities, which makes us think we are responsible and that is ‘enough’.

  149. Being part of a grandness beyond what we have access to with our 5 senses offers a far more understandable and solid foundation to be living life from.

  150. This is a hint to me of the ever unfolding nature of life – that as we learn one thing the next opportunity is presented. Our willingness to stay open to this is represents an inspiring commitment to humility and service.

  151. My developing understanding about, and relationship with, true responsibility is turning out to be one of the most inspiring and life changing periods of learning ever.

Because the word responsibility has become so loaded and misinterpreted over the years I had lost sight of the blessing that it is and how amazing it is to consider the impact of our actions and choices on the whole. We are integral, all of us, and inextricably connected… appreciating this leads to a willingness for, and commitment to, true responsibility.

  152. This is a great example of energetic responsibility and of asking ourselves are we willing to see and feel the bigger picture in our movements. If we keep things small and just about the physical then one could say that you asking your housemates to do chores was a good thing and kept things orderly – but I love how you have looked at this from an energetic point of view and can notice how your agenda got in the way and therefore how you were was not supportive of the housemates. It’s great to share this as an example of what we can see as positive from the outside but actually, we are being asked to see things from an energetic point of view and what is the true intention behind our movements.

  153. The real level of responsibility we all have in this world is very beautiful and very honouring of who we are and something not claimed ,lived or passed on by many of us and is usually ignored and unspoken of but as you share here is simply being all we are in our every movement with an integrity that we would all aspire to and honour and respect in another.

  154. Reading this again makes me even more aware of how I continue to shirk responsibility by not accepting all that I know. I feel we all know more that we think and are aware of the vastness that is out there, but it does seem daunting at times when the more we know the more responsibility we must hold and hence we play dumb to avoid the inevitable.

  155. The art of responsibility requires that one understand energy and thence knows that every movement, every thought, every action contributes to the all, and thus responsibility is never not required.

  156. I have been gradually realising that there are no real ‘private moments or thoughts’ and that everything I do, say and think affects everything and everyone constantly, even if I think nobody is watching or I am on my own physically.

    1. And that also means that we are held in and with love and never less than that, no matter our choices.

  157. The inner heart knows it all, it is free of ideals and beliefs. This means we have a system within us as human beings which is utterly true and free of any manipulative energies. This means we have the opportunity to reconnect to this truth and live less and less the ideals and beliefs we have adopted as a false truth. And this is the only true responsibility we have, to reconnect to our inner heart and live by it.

  158. Yes, that is pertinent – rather than blurting it out to get it done and over with, there is a space to do what needs doing and the timing of that requires connection, to oneself and the other/others.

  159. Talking straight and thorough about the true responsibility we hold is beautiful to behold and feel to take into my way of living and seeing there are points in which responsibility can deepen as I deepen my awareness of all that is going on in my life and humanity.

  160. As I have been deepening my awareness to Energetic Responsibility this has stopped me in my tracks when I have not expressed lovingly “Why am I expressing so forcefully? What is going on for me?”

  161. “Energetic responsibility is about the all in the All.” If this were accepted and taken on by us alll, then so much would change in our world. But we can play our part by starting with ourselves. Placing the word energetic in front of the word responsibility changes the whole paradigm.

  162. “The inner heart knows the whole….” As the inner heart knows the whole it knows what choice to take in every moment. The question is, do we listen and take this choice or are we numb and make choices which are separating us from ourselves.

  163. ‘Are relationships not more important than just getting boxes ticked.’ This is a super question. The whole idea of box ticking brings into focus how we can live, with no real connection or commitment, but just an attitude of carrying out a function. How we do things is such an important aspect of life to consider. Stopping and stepping back to take in the bigger picture is definitely part of being responsible.

    1. Yes, I agree, Debra; as well as committing to developing the quality of our presence in every moment so that we are interacting with others and life from a place of awareness and connection rather than auto-pilot and dis-engagement.

  164. It’s a massive energetic shift, if we can stop and see that we have a crucial part to play in every life event. If we can speak seeking healing and understanding rather than resorting to finger pointing, critique and blame – this in itself is a huge step forward for where humanity is today. What a great personal reminder to take in to our everyday – thank you Gabriele.

  165. ‘… Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are part of something that is much vaster than any single person, any partnership, any one family, neighbourhood, country, continent and even the earth itself. We are a part of the universe and whatever anyone of us thinks, does, says, sings, plays, writes or otherwise expresses, even just to themselves and without anyone necessarily witnessing it, affects us all, energetically first and then physically down the track, in one way or another.’
This is huge and if understood and acted on would change everything about the way we are with each other and in the world.

  166. I can feel that what you are saying is that we constantly bring everything down to a point and that point is the human being, but we are not this, we are so much more we are the expansion of the universe. We are not a dot walking around on earth but within us is a vastness that makes up the universe and makes it what it is. And that in itself is mind boggling and where we all go wrong because we allow ourselves to be dictated by our mind which is so restrictive and keeps us as the dot and not the expansion we truly are and come from.

  167. Focusing on the ‘me’ in being responsible is thus anything but. Responsibility is encompassing the bigger picture, not just my individual needs and box-ticking. Lots for me to ponder on here.

    1. True, energetic responsibility asks us to come out from behind the walled enclosure which gives us the illusion of protection.

  168. Irresponsibility requires a lot of effort to narrow one’s awareness to be focussed purely on a self made world that doesn’t take the all into consideration. And thus, irresponsibility is much harder work than responsibility, requiring constant energy and upkeep to sustain it.

    1. It’s not only harder work but it also hardens the body – with all the consequences for one’s wellbeing and ultimately, one’s physical and mental health.

  169. “Wait a moment: the more and greater awareness someone has, the more they initiate themselves – the more responsibility they have?” We often don’t consider the responsibility that comes with being more aware but there is a huge responsibility that comes with that. As we are aware of more, we also have the responsibility to make sure whatever we are aware of is attended too or shared with others if needed.

  170. Indeed Energetic Responsibility is a whole and never is it focused on a part or a reduction of the whole.

  171. Energetic Responsibility and Energetic Integrity allows us to be aware that there is so much more to the way we live moment to moment and that every movement has a quality that either harms or brings healing and evolution to humanity as a whole.

  172. There’s a learning curve of what it means to catch ‘me’ and put the self-agenda away, knowing that what is needed has nothing of me in it.

  173. ‘Why no more? Because it is never about knowledge as such, or any individual, but about the All and what is needed in a particular situation and setting. And thus, how responsible are we willing to be?’ This is beautiful, a completely selfless way to be as it includes everyone.

  174. The two words ‘energetic responsibility’ in the title shivered through my body today. It is so simple and makes so much sense that we understand the part we play alongside everyone else and that we are responsible for everything we do, say and think.

  175. I love this understanding and explanation about energetic responsibility Gabriele. Understanding it being about the awareness that we are always a part of a bigger picture and holding onto this, and how we are all affected energetically first is a deep learning to take in. We are always a part of a greater whole.

  176. The more aware we are, the more responsible we are….yes this makes sense. It is clear to me that the more aware I become about life, the more I cannot fail to see that we are all connected and that everything we choose has an impact of one kind or another on everything. Be it love or not love…

  177. Responsibility…”Where does it begin and where does it end?…” a great question and is one that when you start examining this question and look at your life as an example, it always seems to precede every choice… a bit like ‘a half of a half’… Responsibility can incrementally be refined and always taken to another level.

  178. Energetic responsibility is paramount and something that deserves a lot more consideration from us all, as we all appreciate and deserve to feel safe around others and even with ourselves.

  179. Not considering the bigger picture, I’ve brought in force to get what I thought was needed and justified it. So harmful no matter how good the intention.

Letting go of what I think should happen and feel what’s there allows me to know what’s next.

  180. It takes a lot for us to realise that even in moments where we are on our own and by ourselves that every movement, choice and thought we make still affects other people – it’s such a quantum shift in thinking from that we can have private moments and “me-time” to saying, right, I am responsible for my choices and my quality and how it affects other people in all points of time.

  181. Thank you Gabriele, straight to the point with the energetic truths and facts, bringing the practical, earthy elements of energetic responsibility and the Universal expansiveness at the same time. Love it.

  182. ‘“The inner-heart knows the whole before it expresses about any part. The inner-heart will feel everything just so it can know something.” Thank you for this important reminder, a quote from Serge Benhayon. It resonates deeper and deeper and exposes the pictures that we limit ourselves to.

  183. From reading your blog again Gabriele, I realise I still have a long way to go in mastering how to take responsibility consistently, it is a work in progress for me. For example, I notice the way I speak to people especially my family can often come with frustration, loaded with expectations and in a controlling energy. It feels like words loaded with an ill energy comes out of my mouth faster than I can think, leaving myself no time or space to observe or ponder on how to best express more lovingly. This I realise is due to the energy I choose to align to prior to interacting with people that then govern the energy I am most likely to respond and express in. I also realise, to truly take responsibility, there cannot be any on and off moments, it really is about commitment and consistency to be loving and take responsibility in my everyday choices as much as possible.

    1. Isn’t it remarkable that those ‘nearest and dearest’ are often the targets of our undealt with hurts, expectations and disappointments and thus more likely to be at the receiving end of our frustration and other emotions? I know that this is not the emphasis of your comment here but just the same, it made me stop in my tracks. What might that say about our ideals around ‘family’ – and everything that concept comes with?

  184. Accepting responsibility allows me to deepen my relationship with awareness which deepens my relationship with responsibility – it flows on and on and it is only because of the teachings and presentations of true life as presented by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine have I been able to open myself up to the fact that life is energetic responsibility.

  185. Before we are responsible with work and what we do, are we being responsible with ourselves, do we think we are in a so called better place than we are?

  186. I have observed in life and also experienced for myself that we often want greater awareness and expansion but yet we do not want to live the responsibility that comes with this. Thankfully we have role models in the Benhayon family that are showing us just how simple and loving life can be when you live a life of energetic responsibility.

  187. The more responsible I become the simpler life tends to be, because I am not so riddled with self-serving agendas and am instead more open to feeling all that is there in a moment for us to connect to.

  188. “… the more and greater awareness someone has, the more they initiate themselves – the more responsibility they have…” Yep, awareness and responsibility go hand in hand.

  189. Many of us are prepared to be energetically responsible for the part of our lives that we live with others. But what about in our spare time and when we are alone? Do we hold that responsibility when it seems no one is looking?

    1. Great questions offering the opportunity to explore how consistent we really are, and consider the fact that the more committed we are across all areas of our lives, the simpler and more inspiring life is.

  190. So much of our lives come under the imposition of ours or other people’s agenda of ‘time lines for jobs to be completed’. It feels like a power struggle – who is the most demanding wins so to speak, others subjugate themselves or rebel -claiming their own power. It is for relief, personal satisfaction, recognition and belonging. None of this is about co-operation, and caring to work together for a common purpose, for love or joy. If energetic responsibility is understood and initiated then any task is simply transformed into what is called for and responded to by All.

  191. Great question Gabriele ‘How responsible are we willing to be’. I love what you have shared here expanding on the fact that many of us ‘think’ we are living responsibly yet when we actually have the true meaning of responsibility then we are perhaps living a very limited human version of what it actually is. To know that every word uttered, every step taken and indeed every thought in our minds has an effect and is only our responsibility leaves me wordless, standing still whilst I observe my thoughts to feel if they are loving or otherwise.

  192. Connection to self aka ‘conscious presence’ is the absolute non negotiable pre requisite of energetic responsibility because without connection to self we have no idea of what it is we are pumping out into the environment and therefore no incentive or impulse to change.

  193. I have spend most of my life not being or taking responsibility and if I am really honest it was not until I met Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine that I started to understand what true responsibility is … and am still learning! I got taught about the battle of Hastings at school and fractions but never about things like the importance of responsibility and living responsibly ..not just about things like being on time somewhere but about how everything we do affects the all and is the momentum running through our life and it is these life skills that we so desperately need to start living and teaching.

  194. Beautiful to read this again this morning. Thank you Gabriele. I found myself settling more in my body and allowing for an expansion. It seems as though I so often tense up to do something when there is no need so to be reminded that energetic awareness can, when we are willing, lead to a greater connection is very freeing.

  195. Your writing here tells me to be in constant awareness of the bigger picture Gabriele thank you. Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are a part of the universe and whatever any one of us thinks we are doing singly in our little home at any single time is not true. We ALL affect each other ALL the time. Hmm, much to ponder here.

  196. This certainly highlights the irony of it all, that we can even think we feel an emptiness and seek to belong through our lifestyle choices, when in-truth we already are it all within, inescapably belonging to a Divine constellation and order through which we are here to simply live the all that we are. The intelligence of our inner-heart is what will guide us to live the wisdom of us all, we only need to be willing to surrender to truth that resides therein.

  197. When I sit with these few words “the inner-heart knows the whole”, it allows me to trust and deepen in the connection to my body, knowing that it is a vehicle for my soul which is all-knowing and all-loving.

  198. Reading your lovely blog Gabriele reminded me that responsibility is not about doing things or taking on roles or even being good or professional in certain situations, it is about how I am and how I move everywhere, including those moments when I think I am alone or no-one is watching me. Even these moments energetically affect everything.

    1. Yes, because we are sharing the same space within a vaster space, everything we do, say and think affects everything and everyone – in the dark of night, the middle of the desert, in our ‘own’ four walls. There is no getting away from energetic responsibility.

  199. I observe in myself that there is like a pattern in me which asks for a lot to do in order to feel worthy and good and as such the workload is almost overwhelming and brings me into nervous tension.
This brings me to realize that there are ideals and beliefs around what I think needs to be done.
So the fact that the inner heart knows the whole, is a way to connect back to truth of the how and when a work is done and the quality of every step in the day.

    1. What needs to be done might be true and a fact but there are more questions here: does it need to be done now and I am the person to do it or someone else? True timing and asking for support are important factors, I have found.

  200. If we are not willing to be responsible then we need to be willing to clear up the mess that follows. The effect of everything that we do eventually catches up with us whether we like it or not. Better to take care of things in the present rather than leave it until later….

    1. Well said Rebecca I totally agree – the grand illusion is that we are avoiding responsibility when in-truth there is no escaping who we are and the choices we make. The world we live in is a direct reflection of the choices we make today, hence why the fact remains; we live our future today.

  201. I too have imposed upon my own household – my wife and children, and especially with my kids. I often get wrong the balance between them supporting the household chores and me pushing from my agenda, frustration or sense of overwhelm. It’s a gross abuse and utterly irresponsible. I have the blessing to have a son who pushes back whenever my expression isn’t true!!

  202. Underneath your questions about what you did or didn’t need, it feels to me that there lies another overall question. Which is more important – to get things done or to evolve? This is a very big difference that I am wrestling with at the moment. After a lifetime (and plenty more before this one) of functionality I am now seeing that there needs to be a total shift. If it is not for evolution then why am I doing it?

    1. That cartoon is brilliant; whoever did it, knew something about the madness of the human mind and the extremes it will drive the body into.

  203. “The inner-heart will feel everything. Just so it can know something.” Whereas the mind knows something and thinks it therefore knows everything.

    1. Great point – the mind thinks it’s it and forgets the body that sustains it. After all, it’s only our skull brain and science is slowly beginning to catch up.

      1. That said, our mind can only think that it is it, if we allow it. This is a key learning for me. It is easy to absolve responsibility to the mind, the spirt, our hurts, our history, our genetics, our DNA…whatever. But all of this is an illusion. It is all just energy passing through us and at every nano second we have the choice to choose which energy.

    2. Love it Otto. The irony of this made me laugh.

I could imagine it as a little cartoon: the humbleness of the inner-heart, feeling the whole but only expressing a tiny detail because that is exactly what is needed, and in contrast the mind pompously declaring to the world that it knows everything because it has managed to unravel one tiny little part of the whole.

      1. I love this description Golnaz, what a great cartoon it will make. I agree you are ‘spot on’, the mind can be incredibly pompous to glorify itself at the expense of truth.

    3. That was what stood out for me today too Otto “The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.” – to be willing to put aside our own agenda, to feel everything, to know what is needed.

  204. How we leave our chair after we get up and leave shows a choice of responsibility. The chair is either pushed in with presence knowing that another will sit in it and that the chair affects the whole building, or it is left without any care or responsibility of what is being left behind.

  205. The beautiful thing that you brought to the fore here Gabriele is that we are all one, we are all connected and so everything affects everything all of the time. Now this is so worth being responsible for!

  206. I love how you’ve pointed out how social responsibility has its very convenient designated lines that beyond which, well, that’s not my responsibility. What is and isn’t my responsibility is something i am constantly learning. It’s not an attitude that i say, ‘that’s not my responsibility, you’re on your own, or i don’t have to support you with that-later dude!’ it’s coming to an understanding that if i take on what is another’s responsibility that is not mine for my own self gain (i look good, or I don’t have to see them suffer in the short-term etc.) then I’m not being responsible by discerning what’s what. And to discern requires I treat myself with care, to not numb out, so I feel what response is required and not, for example jump to fix it mode. Responsibility is a huge subject that requires my commitment to life and can be very joyful because it’s our connection to one another.

  207. I love this blog. It brings awareness to the pictures and investments we have – even if they look ‘right’. Thank you Gabriele for expressing this so beautifully.

  208. Energetic responsibility is a joy to embrace as it offers us the understanding of everything in life.

  209. We are responsible for our choices and to where they have landed us and the effect that has on everyone and everything. We can either take responsibility for our actions and in so doing deepen the connection within our self and with others, or choose to stay in that downward spiral of trying to avoid responsibility. I have found the latter takes a lot of effort, makes things more complicated, diminishes my awareness, builds up resentment and blame and leaves me feeling powerless. For me choosing to be energetically responsible feels like opening the door allowing a fresh breeze to blow through, and letting the light in, and what’s more I feel lighter in my being as well.

  210. Responsibility is something we are faced with every moment. We can’t go in the bathroom and hide from it. Embracing the encompassing nature of responsibility is something I have struggled with but when I step into it, I discover the liberation that lies within. Some people think responsibility is burdensome but in my experience, it is not taking responsibility that is the burden.

    1. I love that expose of the madness of us thinking we can hide behind closed doors, when it is so clear that how we live is plain for all to see in the quality of our movements, interactions and choices. Another gem here is the fact that it is not taking responsibility that leaves us burdened and heavy.

      1. As a young child I remember thinking that I was probably safe in the pantry, nicking and snacking on things and wondering whether God could see me or not. I was never quite sure about it but felt safe enough to go ahead anyway.

  211. It can be very easy to treat responsibility as a tick box exercise – I certainly have, thinking that so long as some boxes are ticked, I don’t have to be responsible everywhere. Or i can compartmentalize life so as to also compartmentalize responsibility. For me what has been the most amazing revelation about responsibility is that it is a constant, and cannot be picked up or put down when we feel like it

    1. Great point Rebecca, this exposes how we do not live in a way that is about the ‘one life’, wanting to ‘turn off’ being responsible when I want some time for ‘me.’

  212. The passage under ‘Understanding Energetic Responsibility’ is of utter beauty; reading it several times now and letting it sink in deeper is already expanding my heart and awareness, allowing me to get a sense of the vastness and all-encompassing love that is available.

  213. Taking a pause, a breath, a moment to see everything, the whole, each angle, everyone’s part/agenda/reactions is a great life skill that I am slowly learning from the absolute master – Serge Benhayon.

  214. What you say about sectioning off responsibility is particularly pertinent to me. I am now seeing that this simply does not work. Everything is everything and if there is one area where I willingly drop the ball, then that ripples across the all. There is no off switch and there is no hiding.

  215. I know the feeling, Gabriele of brushing everything aside because my need is so strong for something to be done, and can now see that there is no love or connection in this. The need for things to be a certain way is self-serving and controlling, and there is no consideration for the bigger picture. When I do open my self up to feeling the whole, things flow more and there is much greater harmony and actually more productivity.

  216. It is easy to hear the word responsibility and relate it to the word burden. That, however, is a game of sorts that is played to avoid true responsibility, and to make responsibility something that helps to define us as individuals – look at me, I have so much to look after. True responsibility is not burdensome but comes from understanding your true purpose, and so is actually something that comes naturally, if it is true.

  217. Is this the right time to address this issue?
How is the other person feeling / what kind of day have they had?
Why am I expressing so forcefully? What is going on for me? There’s great wisdom in these questions to self.

  218. It doesn’t matter what someone says, it doesn’t matter what somebody does, it doesn’t matter the route or attitude that they put on, we always, always have a choice in how we will be. Everyday, in every situation we can think that we are being treated in a way that is ‘too much’ but it is never the case, only that there is something big being shown to you that is right in your face. It’s our responsibility to be Love – it’s our true way – the rest is just a huge distraction. Thank you Gabriele.

  219. I love this point about the absolute balance in everything – no more, no less – and that our willingness to accept and live this is true responsibility, in that it relinquishes our will to the will of All.

  220. Wow! I need to read and re-read and re-read again this blog every day to be re-minded and re-re-minded about what life is truly all about .. the very thing we all tend to avoid, energetic responsibility

  221. ‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.’ What a great reminder to make life about the all, always.

  222. Thanks for this powerful reminder, Gabriele, that when we have an agenda that is self-serving in any way, we are no longer honouring or connected to what is true for all.

  223. Being a ‘responsible person’ by today’s standards is still only making sure that what we put out at face value is appropriate and ticks the boxes of whatever situation we’re in, but what you’re exposing is that there is SO much more underneath the surface and that it’s not just about what we say, if we smile or do our jobs, chores or roles ‘properly’ but HOW we move and do this, because the ripples we create can go for miles.

  224. “This suggests that Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are part of something that is much vaster than any single person, any partnership, any one family, neighbourhood, country, continent and even the earth itself. We are a part of the universe and whatever anyone of us thinks, does, says, sings, plays, writes or otherwise expresses, even just to themselves and without anyone necessarily witnessing it, affects us all, energetically first and then physically down the track, in one way or another.” This is GOLD

  225. Energetic responsibility is a constant reminder that what we experience comes from all of our choices – past, present and future.

  226. If I am coming from any need when expressing I can’t possibly be expressing from the inner heart, it’s that simple. And if I’m honest a lot of my expression comes from need, whether that simply be the need to share something without feeling if it is something to be shared. Successfully instilling this idea alone could keep me busy for lifetimes, yet if I’m connected it is an instant knowing/understanding….

  227. It can be a bit to wrap your head around, energetic responsibility, but when you do, you can realise that you body knows it through and through.

  228. Absolutely – giving ourselves a hard time, constant self-criticism and recrimination constitutes self-abuse – and is irresponsible – it is deeply harming not just to ourselves but affects everyone. so rather than beat up about it, learning to choose the appreciation of who and what we are is paramount – and then what is not of that same light will naturally be discarded along the way.

  229. You know, I am wiling to be energetically responsible and am, but at the same time I know I have a long way to go till I live this completely and fully every single day – I’m not going to kid myself and say I’m there, far from it, but at the same time I do love an incredible level of responsibility, in some areas more than others – but I do know giving myself a hard time is not responsible. Appreciating and accepting where I choose to be at – is – then working on okay what’s next, how do I move forward with this, with no pressure or driving force as that’s no fun and doesn’t evolve anyone. And watching for no comfort and excuses as well.

  230. ‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All’ -it makes you stop and feel into what is being presented, the depth of responsibility we have as we deepen our awareness to the whole, there is so much to consider and so much to connect to.

  231. ‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All’ Thank you Gabriele , a great blog that inspires responsibility and deepens our awareness of the whole.

  232. ‘The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”

Wow, what a quote to focus on. How much I have chosen to only be aware of a tiny amount of what is there because I try to keep to a comfort zone that I know and think I can control and manoeuvre. But in this all my choices and actions aren’t considering the whole and I get hammered by what I am trying to ignore and cannot respond with what is needed.

  233. Understanding one another is most certainly the start to returning to harmony amongst mankind.

  234. When you consider that many of us are still stuck on wounding and hurting our body every day, smoking and consuming poison in so many ways, when you factor in that just picking your litter up or following the rules of the road is seen as unusual and a remarkable thing, you start to understand how lost and far behind our true evolution we have been. For the responsibility Serge Benhayon presents is about walking every step in huge Love and appreciation, knowing that you are divine, a multidimensional being, with stillness and grace and absolute connection to everything, whose every move thought and action effects everyone else. Well, this definition blows everything else out of the ballpark. And so it should for our true playground is not our house and our street, but the grandness of the universe. The words you use here Gabriele are small but their importance is huge.

    1. That is a very pertinent reminder of our role and divine nature – “our true playground is not our house and our street, but the grandness of the universe”. They are good practice grounds, though; gotta start somewhere!

  235. “The inner-heart knows the whole
Before it expresses about any part.”
This is deeply beautiful. As every moment we already know the whole truth of who we are. We also get to know how we have chosen and where we are at right now. We get to feel the gap. And we get to choose what we make of it. Just by feeling this passage is already a process of responsibility, simply and naturally, laid out.

  236. ‘In other words, I was expressing about a part (needing to get something done) before I considered the whole, the bigger context.’ this in itself is massively revealing for how I have done so much how I have in my day – allowing me to act in reaction to circumstances without consideration of my full responsibility and in return get exhausted by this outplay.

  237. This brings to the table the fact that nothing in life is separate. This is major to consider as at the moment life is designed to be in parts – family life work life holiday life ect. But in fact everything is one. And in that we can’t just be responsible in work and irresponsible at home – everything is felt. I tried to live like this and I felt an immense strain on my body.

  238. Gradually and slowly as I let go of control I am allowing myself to feel and understand the truth of energetic responsibility. It is vaster and deeper than anything I can conceive at this present moment – and this is what is truly beautiful – that it goes on forever expanding and unfolding into infinity…….

  239. I often do what I think needs done without checking in with my body. This results in tiredness.

  240. It feels like you have touched on a massive subject Gabriele. Essentially the crux of human life as it currently is is all about breaking life into parts and focusing only on doing well in one or a few of them but not all. As Serge Benhayon has been saying and showing us all for a long time, we can in fact be amazing at everything we put our hearts to. Not perfect and certainly not good at everything but that the reason for life being in the current state it is for many is because they are not bringing their all to life only a part of themselves and this is the very ill of their way of living.

    1. This is so true Joshua and is the foundation of how most of the world’s charities work and are supported. Tapping into humanity’s on and off mentality. Important – not important. Relevant to me – not relevant to me. How about this for a question – if we all lived with full responsibility would we need charities?

      1. Great question Otto! What you are saying is that then our whole way of living would naturally be charity in itself no matter what is necessarily done or how much is made

      2. And then the whole notion of ‘charity’ wouldn’t actually exist. It would just be our natural expression. Nothing unusual, therefore not worth giving a word to, In the same way I wonder if the word ‘joy’ exists in heaven?!

  241. Responsibility starts with being consciously present in my own body and from this place to understand what is needed next for oneself and the whole.

  242. “The inner-heart knows the whole Before it expresses about any part.” What if we really embraced all that we are and lived from that innermost essence – living in the knowing that we are a part of and equal to the all, then true responsibility for living that wholeness would naturally follow.

  243. The part being known from the whole as it is what it is because it is part of the whole; without the whole the part loses context and meaning no matter how much we may know about the part. Do we understand ourselves as part of a whole? If not we don´t know who we are.

    1. I don’t quite get the first part of your comment but totally agree with and appreciate the last two sentences: if we don’t understand ourselves as part of a whole, then we don’t know who we are.

  244. Gosh the wisdom and love that Serge Benhayon brings is never ending these few words say so much and yet this is the smallest part of so much he has given with books, audios, courses, the list, wisdom and love is endless. This alone shows it is never about knowledge but when we connect with something more, far grander than ourselves, as you say ‘are part of the universe’ and get ourselves out of the way his allows the true wisdom to flow through … something that can never be owned but is gold when truly lived.

    1. How many tread water in the ocean of knowledge that is available to all and then use only the information that is contained in the bit above the water?

  245. With the question of how much responsibility are we willing to take we may also ask what are we doing it. From what is presented here, it seems we first and foremost avoid awareness so that we are not asked by our own realisation to increase the level we are willing to take responsibility, thereby stalling our initiation and evolution.

    1. Absolutely. It’s a two pronged denial. Switch off the awareness so that we don’t even feel our lack of responsibility and then, if we do feel it, not committing to it. Whichever game we play, it’s the same outcome – delay in our evolution.

  246. Energetic responsibility takes into account all of our unseen activities, including the not so private world of our thoughts.

    1. Thoughts are not so private, I agree. Energy precedes physicality and thus, they show up as movements, i.e. as speech and actions, and the body displays them as well, for all to see.

      1. You got me thinking Gabriele, how thoughts are being spoken all the time. They just use a different type of ‘language’.

      2. Crazy enough it is only us that can’t see what we think we are hiding so well from the world when it is actually in plain sight for all to see, and many see it.

  247. Articles like this one prove to me that there is a vastness to the true meaning of words that I am only scratching the surface of and having so much fun and inspiration exploring… ‘responsibility’ is a beauty.

  248. I love the fact that our inner-hearts ‘know the whole’. The more that I trust that in myself, the more I can let go of any pictures or ideals of how life needs to be, letting things unfold step by step with an ever deepening awareness of what is truly needed.

  249. Being and acting responsibly is an ever deepening process. There is no end point when it comes to living from our inner heart.

  250. What a great expression about true responsibility for the whole, the whole we all know and just have to claim and recognise our part in it all and live this in our daily every movement and words. I love the quote from Serge Benhayon “The inner-heart will feel everything Just so it can know something.” beautiful as always.

  251. Responsibility is a constant choice – do we choose to be responsible only when we find it convenient and look the other direction when it does not suit us? Or, do we live our lives knowing that every choice matters and to the best of our ability apply this in our lives?

  252. If you live with other people even simple things like what to eat for dinner needs to be considered for the all not just for self, when to do the cleaning, what food needs to be bought etc. With any decision or plans we make which will have an impact on the household we need to take into consideration all the people we live with.

  253. I clicked on your link to Universal Medicine courses and workshops by Serge Benhayon, and in the very first paragraph read about responsibility and the wilingness to see and know what is truly going on in our societies; “Serge is not a teacher who is removed and or not wholly in touch with what is happening in society everywhere.”

  254. We are naturally from the All and a unified Universe, and no matter how long we spend trying to create individualism and separation any success is just an illusion, because we are still a part of the same big picture! It’s like rebelling against being you; at the end of the day YOU are still YOU no matter what you look, act, sound or smell like!

    1. This is brilliant Susie and perfectly expose the ridiculousness of the effort that we put into individualism. A friend once gave me a brilliant cartoon of a man climbing a mountain and when he finally gets to the top he sees himself already standing there. The caption was “john was rather disappointed when he found himself”. It was ridiculing the extreme measures that we go to to try to give our lives meaning or feel like we are ‘bettering’ ourselves, when all along we are already everything that we are.

  255. And sometimes our responsibility is to say what is truly felt, unfiltered, as it can cut an existing energy and expose what is really going on. A few feathers ruffled can be a good thing, if it brings awareness.

    1. Absolutely, at times those feathers do need to get ruffled and the boat needs to be rocked. How else do we learn from our mistakes?

      1. The ruffled feathers of an adult are the same as the look on a child’s face when they have been caught. Adults have an arrogance that we are passed, being pulled up and stopped in our tracks. The child has no shame at being caught, maybe disappointment they were caught in the moment, but as adults sometimes we can be so busy with the shame and our defence, we miss the lesson that is lovingly being offered…

      2. That is a great point you are making – when we go into shame or guilt or both we miss the lesson on offer.

    2. Absolutely feathers need to be ruffled as we need to get out of the comfort and cut existing energy and expose what is really going on.

  256. “Energetic responsibility is the all in the all” We as humanity still need many steps to grasp this in full.

  257. “This suggests that Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are part of something that is much vaster than any single person,” Agreed and so much bigger than we are really willing to admit. We get so caught up in our little world, that we forget that not only do we live in a world inhabited by billions of other people all with their own agendas, but we also inhabit a Universe filled with billions of other planets who also have their own vibrant scene going on. Therefore, taking a moment to stop, feel and ask one self “is this the correct moment to voice this?” can and does make a World of Difference.

  258. At some point in our evolution and when we are all closer to full Energetic Responsibility… what would schools look like or why would we need them at all?

  259. Energetic responsibility can simply be bringing all that we are to any given situation, and this is important as it has ripple effects beyond what we can see, how we live in every way affects someone else.

  260. On an individual level I have a responsibility to look after my body in a way that ensures it is capable of expressing what is there to be expressed, and that means feeling first of all. When I eat certain foods that dull that awareness, then I am being irresponsible. What I do in the privacy of my own home is not private because energetically speaking, it communicates outward to every single person on this planet, and if I am disregarding then that gives others permission to be disregarding too. Everything we do matters.

  261. “The responsibility Serge talks about goes far beyond social responsibility or any other conveniently sectioned off and delineated responsibilities” what I find really fascinating for myself is that I personally don’t like many of the delineated responsibilities and this actually turned me off responsibility as a whole, yet the truth is that the responsibility that Serge Benhayon talks about is one that has a true and real purpose behind it; it’s a responsibility that when I allow it re-energises me. It is, however, a type of responsibility that I was never shown or it was never spoken about before Universal Medicine presentations yet it is the one form of responsibility that is deeply needed worldwide.

  262. What I hear reading your words Gabriele, is that responsibility is not an optional thing that we choose if we like. Responsibility is life. If we want we can fight, attempt to contradict, resist and try to block its call out but it just delays the inevitable. Like someone standing under the Niagara Falls, it works a lot better to stop pushing back and go with the flow. Understatement of the century!

  263. The inner heart does know the whole and it is true, we do know everything if we connect within. What we do not then want to know or want to shut out in knowing, we will experience as anxiousness in our bodies.

  264. Beautifully written Gabriele. So clear and concise and easy to understand. You share a very important message about responsibility and our need to come from the heart.

  265. I have had moments in which I have seen beyond the veil of my chosen awareness and beyond this curtain glimpsed a majesty I cannot ignore. With this beauty comes a great knowing of the responsibility I have to be all that I am, so that by virtue of my lived way I too reflect such heavenly light by which we each know the truth of who we are.

  266. ““The inner-heart knows the whole
Before it expresses about any part.

    The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”

I am in awe with the above expression. For me it takes away any pressure or drive. There’s ‘just’ expression. Moment by moment. And deep within our inner-heart we do know the whole and so we know whether to respond, whether to be silent, curious etc. There’s great power in observing life. Thank you for bringing attention to this amazing piece of science, philosophy and religion in one.

  267. It makes sense that the more awareness we gain the more responsibility we have, we can then no longer pretend we don’t know that which is known.

  268. I love your points about feeling into the right time to bring something up. Just because I have felt something and need to express it does not mean that I then have licence to go spilling it out all over everyone when I feel like it. The whole picture needs to be taken into consideration, including how everyone else is feeling, what still needs to be done etc. When the moment is right it is then my responsibility to not hold back what needs to be said – in context. It is so easy to bring an arrogance when we have felt the truth instead of observing with a humility and understanding. This is our responsibility.

  269. “The inner-heart will feel everything, Just so it can know something.” Serge Benhayon

I love this quote from Serge Benhayon. To me this says don’t be afraid to step into life. Embrace all of it. This is how we grow and learn to understand.

    1. Abby what a lovely understanding of this you have that’s really supported me with stepping forth without hesitation. Thank you.

  270. A learning I am exploring lately is that of being aware that I am responsible always for my choices, if I but follow my own impulse I sense I would find much less calamity.

  271. ‘it is never about knowledge as such, or any individual, but about the All and what is needed in a particular situation and setting’ … confirming that we are all equal, there is no first and last, no one is smarter, we all have access to the infinite wisdom that surrounds us. It’s about how responsible are we willing to be, not for ourselves, or our family, or our country, but for the whole Universe and beyond.

  272. To my big surprise the main way I have been irresponsible lately is by not confirming and appreciating myself. Being less than I am is actually a way of me being irresponsible.

  273. ‘The responsibility Serge talks about goes far beyond social responsibility or any other conveniently sectioned off and delineated responsibilities, whether at work, at home, as a driver on our roads, as a taxpayer, neighbour, friend, partner, etc.’ This is a totally new depth of responsibility, that every action, thought and movement affects everything else and therefore we constantly have a choice to determine the quality of what we are doing and thinking.

  274. ‘Where does it begin and where does it end?’ – it’s interesting how we do like to understand the scope of what we are being asked to do before committing. I feel this is in part as we want to be clear that we are able to fulfil our obligations. Which is why it is so important for us to connect to the truth that we are an equal part of the whole, for then we will know, unequivocally, that we are part of something so much grander than we could have ever imagined. Taking energetic responsibility in our lives will be known as it is, in truth, a very natural thing for us to do.

  275. The response in responsibility is perhaps how we act in any given situation. As Gabriele say, as we get more aware we have a greater responsibility in how we act. But we don’t currently live from the idea of awareness, so responsibility becomes measured in much more straight lines, when in fact it has an immeasurable ever changing meaning in relation to our own evolution. Many people struggle to consider others, are cruel, are disturbed even, so for those of us whose feelings are more sensitive, our responsibility to love people more becomes even greater. Which brings us to love, another misunderstood word!

  276. This is brilliant. There’s something about this blog that feels unique and somehow alive to me. It feels evolutionary. It feels like there is so much light and space within it. “We are a part of the universe and whatever anyone of us thinks, does, says, sings, plays, writes or otherwise expresses, even just to themselves and without anyone necessarily witnessing it, affects us all.” I think because there is so much truth here, it resonates deeply for me. We all count. Whether we believe it or not.

  277. All of us know energetic responsibility is a fact – even if we try and deny and ignore it. It is as basic as our own breath. Who are we to ever consider that what we do and think and say doesn’t have an impact? The arrogance that this reveals is enormous.

  278. This sharing reminded me being more aware that it is not about self but about everybody in everything I do.

  279. “The inner-heart knows the whole
Before it expresses about any part.”
If we take this truly into our lifes, our thinking and behaving this will change our way we perceive things and as such do things or relate to objects and persons including ourselve.

  280. “I used to think I was responsible and yes, in many ways I was – and in many more ways I was not.” My experience of responsibility so far is that it’s an ever-deepening process, I’m not sure I could say I was responsible before but the more I learn what responsibility is the more I realise there is not just a level of responsibility you reach, but that then there’s a next level and a next. It’s constantly refining as I realise more and more that everything I do and say and eat and drink and even the way I breathe effects another person.

  281. Energetic responsibility places a whole different angle to the word responsibility that branches into a new subject all of its own. To consider that every move we make, every thought we have has an impact on all others takes the topic of responsibility to a gargantuan level.

  282. For me what I am constantly asking myself is how are my words contributing to the world and humanity. Essentially they are either bringing love with what I am saying, essentially raising the bar and calling for more love or they are doing the exact opposite and keeping humanity stuck in the physicality most people only think exists. We are soo much more than purely what our eyes can see and knowing this brings a responsibility. A big question here is am I speaking for myself, wanting something or am I speaking on behalf of humanity considering all equally.

  283. I used to pride myself on being responsible and tended to impose my views on what I felt should happen on others whom I usually judged as being less responsible than me so it is uncomfortable to read this blog and feel just how much I have polluted the world with my arrogance and insistence on things being done my way. As I increase my commitment to being responsible for all I say and do I leave others free to explore their own relationship with responsibility.

  284. I used to think I was a responsible person, and by outward appearance yes I ticked all the boxes, but what I’ve come to understand is that there’s a forever deepening responsibility that is there for us to embrace, one that a lot of the time causes an underlying tension between knowing what is needed, and where I am currently at before accepting and taking that next level. The more I re-familiarise myself with responsibility, the more of a joy it feels and not a ‘right or wrong’ thing, as it used to be.

  285. “…..energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.” This is indeed a show stopper. It is whether we are willing to fully appreciate the extent of what is being said here and to actually put it into action that is the key to our future and the future of humanity.

  286. ‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.’ Yesterday I went into a big reaction over something. In the process I realised that I was actually being quite infantile in my response and reined it in. In the reaction I had forgotten to look at the bigger picture, the All we are in and from, and to genuinely ask myself what lesson was there for me to learn here and moreover what was I being supported to learn? In asking myself this the reaction abated as the hurt dissipated as I took responsibility for the outplay in circumstances. This has left me feeling open and loving to those involved without judgment or criticism – simply a desire to understand things from their perspective and an openness to being more aware and to grow from the experience.

  287. When we express from our inner heart, what is there to be expressed will be expressed and will always be exactly what the other needed to hear. It is that simple and clear when we express with love.

  288. Gabriele the concept of considering the all, all the time is huge. It’s one where if you were to think about it, to try and work it out it’s impossible in the head alone, but what blows me away is the fact that when we choose to live life in a certain way, one where we put energy and the quality of energy first then everything is taken care of. We are either living in a way that is considering everyone with the pull towards evolution or we are getting in the way and putting up roadblocks with our and everyone else’s evolution.

  289. “Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.” Very true Gabriele, a truth that stopped me in my tracks when I first heard it and a truth that has revolutionized my life.

  290. Gabriele, This is great to read, ‘I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth,’ ‘Is this the right time to address this issue? How is the other person feeling / what kind of day have they had?’ I can feel reading this that it is important that I am present with myself when I express and I’m aware that sometimes I can say things in reaction or out of frustration rather than having understanding of where the other person maybe at and expressing what is needed, when it is needed.

  291. Trying to ignore our Energetic Responsibility is like standing a stream, putting your arms out and thinking you can stop or alter the flow. The amount of energy we waste is huge fighting something that is bigger than all of us.

  292. As we are all knowing, ignoring the fact and responding to life not from that place is dismissing the grandness we are and makes us have a lesser, in a way debilitated life in which we are not able to live our live in the joy and harmony that resides in that grandness we are part of.

  293. There is much food for thought in this blog, thank you, Gabriele. It is easy to want the world to be the way we want it as an individual, but we can no longer ignore the fact that we are part of a whole, that we are all in this together, that we will only evolve when we work with each other, therefore what needs to be expressed must take this into account. ‘it is never about knowledge as such, or any individual, but about the All and what is needed in a particular situation and setting’.

    1. Carmel I wish that ‘we can no longer ignore the fact that we are part of a whole’ were true but alas I feel that most of us are very capable of ignoring this truth for a few more thousand years. And as a result it’s going to get ugly, very very ugly. What am I saying, life is already ugly to the point of deformity, a grotesque representation of the majestic love that we are all from. Collectively we have created a nightmare.

  294. I have recently been exploring karma and my understanding of its self-perpetuation. As a result, the realisation has dawned as to why humanity seems to seek a course of self-destruction; and this, I feel, is the incredible weight of responsibility and fear that we all carry for ending, or at least drastically reducing the amount of karma that we collectively hold, lest we end up in the Dark Ages again. This pondering of mine has presented me with the biggest “stop-moment” of my life, so big that, for now, I continue to feel overwhelmed.

With time I will accept that I can only take responsibility for my own karma, and like Gabriele says, be responsible for everything that comes out of my mouth; and not for anyone else’s words or deeds. I do however have the choice to responsibly lead by example.

  295. There are so many levels of responsibility, never-ending in fact… as a society we tend to only look at what is to be done, whereas energetic responsibility and ultimately energetic integrity brings a whole new level, quality and understanding to what responsibility truly is.

  296. We are constantly presented with opportunities to make choices to be responsible or not. Which is what it all comes down to. This simplicity is what I certainly don’t want to face up to.

  297. “The inner-heart knows the whole. Before it expresses about any part” These 2 sentences are gold and can be used in every area of our life to embrace energetic responsibility.

  298. What I get from reading this blog is that Energetic responsibility is not limited to one aspect; you can always go deeper with it. Firstly we must be responsible for our own energy, can I feel if I am imposing on another? Am I frustrated, or in reaction? Once our emotions are exposed and cleared then we can get to what is best for evolution; we “feel everything” so that we can “Know something”.

    1. Hi Sandra, I agree with you. It is all a matter of awareness, how willing are we to open our eyes to really see where we are and what our contribution is to the whole. Do we add to all the wrong in our society or do we live in a way where everything is been taken into account?

  299. The other morning I had an urgency to say something to someone but I stopped and checked in with myself. Was this really what was needed? I’d reacted to something and the urgency was about my own relief. Whilst what had happened did need to be addressed, doing it in my way, when I wanted and making it all about me was going to every harmful. So I made a choice – I stopped. I let it go and waited until I was able to express without my expression being loaded and I put our relationship at the forefront. When pondering on saying something in the first scenario I envisaged an argument, a reaction from the other person and so on. With the second scenario, it was merely mentioned, acknowledged, and moved on from – no big deal. By expressing nothing was accumulated and by expressing with responsibility nothing further was added to the mix.

  300. Up until now I see myself battling with on one hand loving to take more responsibility by raising my awareness – that is, allowing myself to feel more and more – but on the other hand I see myself fighting myself after I’ve initiated myself. What is this all about? Why can’t we just simply accept that we are living to evolve and that evolving means raising our awareness? Great questions. We’re not here to help people to not suffer. We’re here to reflect the love we are, take responsibility for our own awareness and in choosing so, we’re the best support / reflection for others we can be.

  301. Responsibility certainly unfolds greater awareness and therefore greater responsibility to the whole in which we live.

  302. Absolutely – we are always part of the greater whole, whether we choose to remain aware of the fact or not.

  303. To understand that we all deep down actually know the whole before anything else, is huge, and beyond what most of us are yet able to comprehend.

    1. And Eva doesn’t this then expose the absolutely colossal lie that we are all embroiled in. The fact that we could, (if we so wanted), choose our way out of this appalling mess that we have created. But we don’t, even in the midst of so much of the world’s suffering intensifying, we still choose to cling to the illusion that it has nothing to do with us and yet we all have ‘blood on our hands’.

      1. Indeed Alexis, as long as we stay put in illusion we don’t have to take responsibility for our own contribution to the state of affairs.

    2. That is the crazy thing, we are deep down equally know the whole, some have chosen to connect to, some are just re-awakening to it, others have it still buried waiting to be re-awakened, and then there are those who don’t want to know in this life and so it will remain buried.

  304. For me it’s about the responsibility of how I am with other people and how I express. Do I express just to say something and be heard or do I have something to say that will take the conversation to a higher point. And just recently having had a family conversation looking back I slipped in and out of my responsibility within the conversation that was occurring. This is a great learning to catch so that next time I can clock myself so that I don’t engage in the he said she said type of conversations that can take place between families and friends.

  305. True responsibility is energetic responsibility, and not taking this into consideration is choosing not to understand what taking responsibility really means. Nowhere other than Universal Medicine is this taught yet it is the foundation by which all life is lived, yet at present, mostly ignored dismissed or rejected. I know the more I understand energetic responsibility the more I am able to see how little I live this. It is a continual and forever deepening of what this really means and making it my everyday living

    1. Looking at a Sermon that was delivered by Serge Benhayon nearly a year ago, I found a passage that mentions God’s level of energetic responsibility and it rocked me; the limitlessness of His Energetic Responsibility is beyond words and then some.

  306. Realising how far from true energetic responsibility we have been it can be daunting to look at returning to it, but the beauty is, as described above, that it is an ongoing development over time; step by step as awareness develops so is the choice to be responsible accordingly and so further awareness is achieved and so on.

  307. The magnitude of wisdom and love held in the simplicity of these few words reconnects us easily to the magnitude and love that we are from and that we are.

  308. Responsibility and awareness seem to go hand in hand, as one increases, so the other develops too. Because as you say Gabrielle, it is about the All and what is needed in a particular situation or setting, there will always be a continuous unfolding as the awareness and the responsibility grow.

  309. Energetic responsibility is huge and makes a lot of sense when we know about it, but most of the world is unaware of it at this moment in time even though it is something we all can’t avoid.

  310. The key is in taking a moment to stop and feel inwardly before making a decision, opening our mouths or moving. When we are able to, we can sense the bigger picture and how what we perceive needs doing, slots into that. However, having been someone who always ‘rushes the fence’ so to speak, eager to jump the hurdle and get on, learning to stop and feel into the moment is a perpetual project!

  311. If Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are part of something that is much vaster than any single person, any partnership, any one family, neighbourhood, country, continent and even the earth itself then the integrity we hold in our relationships is far more potent than I have wanted to truly acknowledge – like with your example of the to-do-list. The quality of our interactions is fundamental, with that same quality reverberating out for evermore.

  312. Gabriele I honestly never considered energetic responsibility before coming to attend my first universal medicine event, the concept was way to hard for me to grasp (or so I thought) but then the reality dawned on me, I did know what this was just avoided it at all costs. I knew that I would feel differently depending on how I looked after myself, what I watched on TV or the type of conversations I had and so whilst I was not aware of the “name” the relationship with energetic responsibility was going on my entire life.

  313. I feel it is a simple choice every moment to honour or numb my awareness and to be responsible or not. Feeling the whole rather than the part, is the key.

  314. If we really understand the vastness we are part of and what responsibility in this context entails, we would have no issue with responsibility anymore as it would be our normal way of being.

  315. We’ve reduced responsibility to be about tasks and duties for the purpose of staying unaware of the fact of energy. We are, and everything else is, energy first but the more absorbed in the functionality of life we are the less we are willing to see that.

  316. When taking the awareness of responsibility to the level you are offering, it transforms every aspect of our lives. Self-care becomes a big part of that responsibility for it assists us to build a foundation of wellness with the body, from which we can live with greater responsibility for ourselves and the all.

  317. The simplicity of our responsibility was brought home to me the day I heard that just how we get out of bed in the morning affects everyone on the planet. Since we are all connected energetically, that made sense to me. I forget that fact a lot but when I remember it reminds me to live with tenderness inside my body, stillness and tender touch.

    1. Energetic Responsibility makes us a conscious part of the bigger whole and it feels yummy. We are always part of it and we can chose to either pollute or bless it with our movements.

  318. We are all in a pool of energy together, taking energetic responsibility is taking care of the pool, what affects one affects us all. It’s that simple.

  319. Taking responsibility goes hand in hand with actively choosing to participate in life. We are all a part of life on this planet together and so very much more, the extent to which we take part in life, sharing the love that we all innately are, is up to us. We can hold back and resist feeling the magnificent flow of life and how gorgeous it is to be a part of this, or we can shed our protection and start to enjoy the divinity of being our true selves, like stars, each of us reflecting our own unique essence. Taking energetic responsibility is an intrinsic part of us being who we are.

  320. My understanding of energetic responsibility has only just begun and my observations of the choices and living ways of humanity and their far-reaching effects are also just beginning to make themselves clear. The extent to which I appreciate all that Serge Benhayon has brought through cannot be expressed in words and so it is for me to begin to live it through the openness of my heart and mind, IS what I choose.

  321. If I am not committed to life 100% then I cannot possibly feel the whole. This week I felt the repercussions of my choices to not commit. They were ugly, very ugly but rather than use them as reasons to not commit because I felt hurt I realised the need to see where was it that I held back and, in so doing, called out what was ugly.

  322. We can be so quick with words or quick to speak but to me this says do not be quick but instead, feel and reconnect to our inner heart and then express ‘The inner-heart knows the whole before it expresses about any part.’ If we did this there would be much less abuse, hurts, misunderstanding, corruption and lies to name a few. A beautifull Universal Modality to support this re-connection is the Gentle Breath Meditation http://www.unimedliving.com/meditation/free/meditation-for-beginners/reconnecting-gentle-breath-meditation.html

  323. I feel as I read this blog that it is so easily to put things to one side and not consider the consequences of our actions. As I awoke this morning I felt a greater responsibility to how much I eat in a day and how bloating and holding onto ideals and beliefs still hold me back from connecting deeply so this also has an effect on the way in which I go to sleep which has an effect on my rhythms so I shall take a responsible look at these areas of my life by loving feeling what needs to be different so I can deepen my relationship with God and connection within.

  324. We are naturally responsible beings, being responsible is part of our natural way. We have to imbibe an energy that is not natural to us in order to live the reckless lives that we do.

  325. Imposing anything is an insult on the ones that are imposed up on. Not so much as a judgement, but as a statement that we’re all free to choose whatever we choose. It isn’t nice to be imposed. There’s no space and whatever is asked there’s a ‘have to’ from the one imposing the question or ‘order’. We’re all free to choose and if we would be willing to learn, we would be able to take responsibility for the way we are with both ourselves as well as with others. We’re to make mistakes, because this is the way we’re able to learn. Learning to be energetic responsible is a beautiful road to be on.

  326. It is a a very interesting question and one worth pondering on. How much do I essentially want to give my all to and how often do I want time off or time out moments. Essentially any time out moment is a choice to be irresponsible, because it is saying I do not care what energy I let through. Responsibility is far more than purely what most of us immediately think it to mean. And it is actually a blessing to be truly responsible because it is a deep honour of who we are and where we have come from.

  327. The moment I feel responsibility is about every-thing I find it is the most beautiful thing to do – take responsibility.

    1. I fully agree with that Lieke, it is actually a very natural way to be and live life when we do understand and actually feel that we are part of a grander whole and that how we are and everything we do matters.

  328. The book ‘The Way of Initiation is one I have been reading for some months now but very very slowly, sometimes not picking it up for a few weeks. It is clear that the keys it sets out within are what I am resistant to bringing my awareness back to just as is the case with energetic responsibility.

  329. I am coming to understand that responsibility is simply being aware that every movement I make has a ripple effect out into the world, appreciating that I am indeed super powerful (as is everyone) in the choice I have to move with the quality of love of my true nature, or not.

  330. Coming back to this blog I am reminded again how last week these words stayed with me and were reflected again on many occasions serving as a reminder of the true way to communicate and express; “From that I can’t but conclude that energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.”

  331. I know I can get caught up in what I perceive as the importance of what i should be doing rather than checking in with the quality of the energy I am doing it in which has a far greater impact on what can actually be achieved.

    1. Yes Nicole – it’s easy to get caught in the function of doing, it’s how we are running life and its current societal model. We measure how our day was by how much we got done instead of the quality we are in with ourselves. It’s great to start to change the dialogue of this.

  332. It is so easy to go through our lives in blissful ignorance of the true impact of our thoughts both positive and negative. Nothing is secret when it comes to energy – everything is felt, even the way we breathe affects the universe.

  333. Everything beautiful in life comes with responsibility, it is interesting how we know this, yet, still avoid embracing deeper levels of responsibility.

  334. Thank you for bringing the importance of our expression, and our responsibility of it, to the foreground of our awareness once again. How easily we can ‘forget’ our part to play in restoring humanity on earth.

  335. ‘The responsibility Serge talks about goes far beyond social responsibility or any other conveniently sectioned off and delineated responsibilities’. I too used to pride myself on how efficiently I got things done and how a responsible member of society I was.. What Serge is talking about goes way deeper and I find that the more I become aware of what this is is the more I discover the deeper layers of what responsibility actually means. Stepping up and living them is all dependent on how open to this awareness I wish to be.

  336. Through the teachings of Universal Medicine I have come to understand a whole new depth of meaning to the word responsibility. I used to associate it with burden and obligation to some degree, but with what you’ve shared Gabriele, it is clear that it goes hand in hand with increasing awareness, and is directly related to energetic integrity too. It goes way beyond the temporal aspects of life, and in that respect has nothing to do with taking on anything as a burden or an obligation, but only as a natural part of accepting our unfolding evolution back to the Soul.

  337. Susan I too had never heard of Energetic Responsibility until Universal Medicine, I took responsibility as something you have to take on as you get older, you have not choice.

  338. “Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.” When we understand everything is connected, every word spoken, every movement made, every action, then we have to stop and begin to understand the importance of energetic responsibility.

  339. It’s true. When we start to become energetically responsible a whole new level of responsibility opens up. It is forever deepening and goes on and on and on. We never stop learning and we never stop refining. It’s understandable why we might want to numb ourselves to this, but for those of us who are willing to go there we have a whole world of joy waiting.

  340. ‘energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations’ …. there is no on/off switch, it’s something that applies 24/7, something we are choosing to do, or not, there may be times when we lose ourselves and drop the energetic responsibility ball, this has an immediate effect on the whole, however, as quickly as we may find we have dropped the ball, it’s equally as quick and easy to pick it up again. It’s never about perfection, rather a commitment to living with energetic responsibility to the best of our ability.

  341. ‘The responsibility Serge talks about goes far beyond social responsibility or any other conveniently sectioned off and delineated responsibilities, whether at work, at home, as a driver on our roads, as a taxpayer, neighbour, friend, partner, etc.’ – it’s so true how we have a great propensity for delineating our responsibilities, which is so ‘limiting’ for us. Energetic responsibility is limitless, however, so is the love and joy that feeds us back when we choose to commit to this way of living.

    1. It seems that we prefer to think about life being in boxes and drawers, one for every occasion – but it doesn’t really work like that.

  342. There is nothing like attending a Universal Medicine workshop to really open our eyes to our full responsibility and what it means to live a life of purpose.

  343. ‘Are relationships not more important than just getting boxes ticked?’ oh Gabriele this is an absolute blinder of a question and although the answer is a resounding ‘yes’, we don’t live like it’s a yes, we live like it’s a ‘no’. To add to the absolute ludicrousness of the situation we can never actually manage to get all of the boxes ticked at the same time and so we end up like those guys who used to try and keep plates spinning on top of long bendy poles, frantically running from one pole to the next and all at the expense of our relationships.

  344. Does the immensity of Energetic Responsibility cause some to contract from what is required? When we should embrace it it’s like an opportunity of being invited to have lunch with God!

  345. Trying to control things is the ultimate way to disconnect to people, ourselves and the everything that surrounds us all of the time. It’s like a resistance to be what we could and would otherwise be if we didn’t resist. Resisting is out.

    1. That is true, engaging in futile activities like controlling when it is the wrong time and or place, diminishes us.

  346. “This suggests that Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are part of something that is much vaster than any single person, any partnership, any one family, neighbourhood, country, continent and even the earth itself.” It is so incredible to consider the scale and the oneness that we are actually from is far grander than the version of reality we call life today. Knowing this changes everything about the way we approach life and the reason we open our eyes each morning.

  347. That such world-changing wisdom can be expressed in so few words proves to me that we knew it all already. Because if we didn’t, it would take a lot longer to explain!

  348. Which makes the whole edifice of responsibility actually incredibly simple. A far cry from the mountain that we make it into. No doubt that choice is not always an easy one – but the simplicity of it can not be denied.

  349. What I feel when reading this is that if I was to fully commit to taking absolute responsibility in one specific area – for example, what comes out of my mouth – then that in turn ripples into my every other move.

    1. True, just one simple key from The Ageless Wisdom unlocks everything else.

  350. Most of us live in stark contrast to the quote from The Ageless Wisdom

    We express about everything
without consulting the inner-heart about anything.

We exclude what our inner heart feels
and therefore end up knowing about nothing.

  351. I find if I ask people to do things or get frustrated at them, want things done a certain way, it’s a form of me controlling them so I don’t have to let them in,

  352. This is a point that is well to ponder on and brings the greater aspect of understanding responsibility… “We are a part of the universe and whatever anyone of us thinks, does, says, sings, plays, writes or otherwise expresses, even just to themselves and without anyone necessarily witnessing it, affects us all, energetically first and then physically down the track, in one way or another…”

  353. ‘…there is a vastness to connect back to that allows us to know what we need to know at any given moment – no more and no less…’ I love what you present here Gabriele. In the all is the truth of everything – the all. Being willing to feel and know that is the key.

    1. I agree Victoria, everything we could ever need to know is there before us when we allow ourselves to connect to the fact. And never will we get an answer that is purely for us as it will always encompass everyone equally which is the beauty and magic of it – no one is ever left lesser.

  354. The way you have broken down these two phrases so practically really works for me to understand what is being said, it makes it very tangible and easy to understand. The first example I related to a conversation I had with my daughter this morning, after reading this article I reflected that I was being a little forceful and was not considering how she might be feeling, thank you for this blog on this day and this time, it has served greatly.

  355. It is how much I am willing to accept about the power I have within will determine how much responsibility I live with moment to moment.

  356. To be energetically responsible we have to get ourselves out of the way. Life stops becoming about ‘me’ and what ‘I want’, and instead becomes about ‘whatever I do and however I do it is going to have an impact on everyone around me, and beyond’. Our choices do matter, however small or insignificant they may seem.

  357. Beautiful Gabrielle, showing us so clearly and lovingly what responsibility is about and the energetic truths about it. How we have often find it, makes it more blank and practical, but the flavor you put into it is real and tangible and great for all to feel, if not felt before.. And to choose from this responsibility and live is an whole different story if we look at the Whole World at the moment.. We can learn something greatly here.. Thank you Gabriele, I learn a lot from this, in a very good, needed and loving way.

    1. Yes indeed, Danna, the Whole World is in need of a good dose of responsibility, to start turning the tide of lovelessness.

  358. When you consider the All, or everything and everyone and the big picture of why we are here and what is really going on, you almost can’t help but take your next step – and speak your next word – with responsibility. It’s when we get caught up in all the small menial tasks, or get lost in our emotions and reactions and the things people do that aggravate us that we become blind to the bigger picture and blind to our responsibility in life.

  359. We’re to connect to each other. There’s a lot communicated from our bodies towards each other. But far too often we brush aside / disconnect from not only what we feel ourselves, but also from what we feel from others. Energetic responsibility is about accepting the communication that is between us and taking responsibility for it. Which doesn’t mean taking it on, but not dismissing the communication that is within and outside of us.

  360. The more I get past the whoa factor of this responsibility, the more I realise that it is the only way that will ever work

  361. The more understanding I have about responsibility, the more I feel that there is no such thing as partial responsibility. The notion of partial responsibility is a doorway to allowing us to be irresponsible and to blame others. It feels like a get out clause to me. But why would we want it? Responsibility gives us the power to change, to choose and to be all that we are.

  362. This is truly something to ponder – that assuming we are acting responsibly but without consideration is actually hugely imposing on others.

  363. When we really appreciate the meaning and depth of the word ‘responsibility’, it opens up the joy of the never-ending journey of expansion in our awareness of and connection to the immense wisdom, fragility and love of God.

    1. I would have never thought to associate God with fragility – can you explain? Or am I misunderstanding the comment?

  364. I love the list of questions you give, Gabriele, as examples of a deeper level of responsibility we can go to in considering the energetic impact of our behaviour.

    1. I agree Janet it really does get us to consider the energetic impact of our behaviours, with the deep level of responsibility.

  365. “The inner-heart knows the whole
Before it expresses about any part.

    The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”

I so love this quote. The gentle, but all encompassing wisdom that emanates from it just has to be felt to understand it. When reading it I feel held in infinite space – I am given access to the whole from which I can then express..

  366. At first the concept of energetic responsibility can be a hard one to grasp, well it was for me. However on reflection thats because my life was about improving myself and responsibility was seen as a hard task. If we make things black and white and bring responsibility first back to energy, then energetic responsibility is both simple yet exposes the fact we live and choose to be ignorant of the fundamental foundation of our life.

  367. ‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.’ Interestingly, we have made life about the self… not about the all, so how far away are we from energetic responsibility in everything that we do?

  368. To question our Energetic Responsibility is the same as questioning if a tree that falls in the woods a hundred miles from the nearest person… does it make a noise?

  369. I come back to this beautiful blog as I feel your love for the books of Serge Benhayon, Gabriele.
The 4 lines you have chosen to ponder on and share is so full of wisdom that it takes a process until those words are fully understood and brought into practise. ….and it’s only 4 lines…. .

  370. We are all naturally loving, choosing love, a healing energy is our natural way of being, however, I know I have chosen to live in an opposing way to this for many lifetimes meaning, to now choose differently may have at first appeared to be hard, yet it was in fact a choice to come back to my true self. Choosing to live with energetic integrity, feeling the deep love within radiate throughout my life, knowing and feeling how my actions affect me and everyone else is affirmation indeed that we are so very much more than we think we are.

    1. Alison reading your words ‘feeling the deep love within radiate throughout my life’ really got me to feel the transformative effect of love. Contrary to my hitherto used method of trying to nag others into changing, I can feel the magic that love naturally contains. Love does not push anyone to change, it simply inspires them to return to who they already are.

  371. Understanding that everything in life has an energetic quality brings a completely different perspective to life as we know it. The way we choose to move, talk even the thoughts we have, all have an energetic quality, which not only affects us, but everyone else, as we are all part of the whole. We all live within a pool of energy and as we have free will, we can either choose a healing energy or the opposite, a harming energy, therefore, at any given time the energetic pool that surrounds us may be more healing or more harming. Every moment of every day we have a choice as to the quality of energy we are contributing – this is our energetic responsibility.

  372. ‘Energetic Responsibility – How Responsible Are We Willing to Be?’ It struck me this morning that true responsibility is dependant largely on our view of life. If I see life as dog eat dog then I’m going to focus on being responsible for ‘me and mine’ and if I see life as one interconnected whole, of which I am a fragment then I will see that being responsible for me also takes care of everybody else.

  373. There is a great point to social responsibility, and even greater point when it comes to the unseen, unvalidated, unrecognised responsibility that is energetic responsibility.

  374. Responsibility for me started when I first started to self-love, for until I learnt how to attest self-love then true responsibility was just a concept.

  375. How responsible are we going to be? How loving are we going to be? How truthful are we going to be? How pragmatic are we going to be in that process?

  376. Wow this quote on page 378 inspires connection and the purpose that arises from it. Pure magnificence which can be lived!

  377. Awesome blog, showing us that true responsibility is in connection with the all knowing that love is all that we need to know and be reminded of. It is living in this love that truth arises.

  378. There is something so suitable about us moving about every day thinking we are ‘powerless’ and impotent to make change in so many ways. It is like our favourite past time is to bemoan the way it is, or equally how we have ‘made the best of it’. But what Serge Benhayon presents and you beautifully echo right here Gabriele, is that in truth we are the ones with all of the power. And it makes sense. For how could you have a part of the universe that was any less? And how could that part be separate to the whole? So we are the universal superheroes the cartoons always dreamed us to be, just in a more tangible, every day reality.

  379. ‘Is this the right time to address this issue?’ We all know the importance of this especially if the issue is sensitive so why do we not apply this same awareness to all the conversations we have?

  380. Do we ever consider the imprint we leave behind or are we so focused on ourselves and what needs to be done that we are completely oblivious to what we are leaving behind.

  381. The more you develop a feeling of harmony in your body through self-care and self-love, the more you can feel when there is not harmony so I feel it becomes easier to ask your self a question like you have raised – “Why am I expressing so forcefully? What is going on for me?”

I know when I am living more harshfully and being hard on myself, I cannot recognise so easily when I am expressing with force. It becomes easier to see the more kinder I am to myself, which in turn allows you to see more of others as well.

  382. I love this Gabriele. It’s so easy to go into bossing people around and judge them for not doing things our way. But when we express this way we do not consider the whole. Things need to be done yes, but the bigger picture is about connection first and foremost, and with connection we can then feel what is appropriate at any given time.

  383. When we normally talk about responsibility we often feel burdened by it. However, in the ‘once it is known and understood that there is a vastness to connect back to that allows us to know what we need to know at any given moment’ there is a settlement because we are held in the enormity and there is no trying needed, just a being and being open to being aware.

  384. Quite important to consider another person and read how they are feeling in any given moment when we wish to tell them something. Often I know I can want to get something off my chest, but really it is important to gauge if someone is ready to hear what it is I want to be shared.

    1. Which reminds me that getting something off our chest, venting and loading up another/others so that we feel better are very selfish acts that only provide momentary relief.

  385. The responsibility is simply the choice to live from the inner-heart, and the rest is all taken into account, as we cannot but then live for the all.

  386. This is great Gabriele! When I first was reminded of energetic responsibility (because, of course, we are born with this, we just kick it to the curb as we get older), it felt completely and utterly normal that all parts of everything should be considered all of the time. Our minds like to convince us that that’s impossible, but the reality is, it’s second nature when we allow ourselves to be connected to everyone and everything.

  387. “The inner-heart will feel everything
Just so it can know something.”
This is so inspiring… feeling the vastness to then know the next step – this makes the ‘bigger picture’ seem so minuscule.

  388. When I read the quote from Serge Benhayon it makes so much sense and shows how much we have boxed ourselves in and closed ourselves off in not allowing the full understanding of what it means to know something if we don’t first consider the whole, and how far removed our educations system is from this quote…there is much to ponder on from your sharing Gabriele.

    1. True, Alison. How different would school be if education was founded on this premise of considering the whole at all times?

  389. It is beautiful how you ponder and share about this topic. Equality brings me into harmony and stillness.

  390. It was easier for me to grasp the responsibility of what comes out of my mouth than the how it comes out. It is amazing how deceitful we can try and be with energy. One of my children used to say to me “stop yelling” and an outsider could have easily observed that I was not yelling. My was voice low and calm but behind the facade of control was a desire fuelled by unresolved hurt to get my way, no matter what, it was so strong that there was no room for anyone else to be heard. So no wonder my child felt like they were being yelled at energy I allowed through me and that was behind the carefully crafted words was so imposing and forceful.

  391. “…energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations…” A great statement that would be a benefit for all relationships.

  392. This is a great reminder for everyone, to check in with what is fuelling our expression before we speak – “I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.”

  393. I loved reading this again Gabriele, I feel connected to something so much bigger than me and my little world around me. It’s so easy to skim through life thinking just the 3 dimensional stuff counts, but there is another dimension we live within, by and are from that makes us and life around us infinitely bigger.

  394. Thats the thing about energetic responsibility – it can never be a tickbox exercise or something that is finally attained as it for it evolves and deepens. Seeing it as a chore guarantees there will be a level of resistance in how we relate to it.

  395. We can be very clever at justifying to ourselves why we have or should behave in a certain way but deep down we always know whether we are considering of the whole, the bigger picture or not…

  396. It seems as though there is a restriction in expressing nothing but the truth, or living with energetic responsibility – there are so many notions about what this actually is, but when put next to the inconsistency of what is so called ‘normal’, emotions, ideals, living with struggle, living with hardness etc etc, I know what I would choose.

  397. Broadening the conversation about responsibility to one that encompasses a responsibility at the energetic level is paramount if we are going to make the changes required in society.

  398. Accepting being part of the All form my inner heart no matter what my mind thinks is my return to energetic responsibility.

  399. “How responsible are we willing to be? – this is a great question and can be applied to so many areas in life. From the moment we wake up in the morning we have an opportunity to take responsibility for ourselves, for example, our health, what we eat, how we behaviour towards others etc. The more responsibility we take the more love we accept.

  400. Life is about energetic responsibility when we break it all down, and what your sharing here is the responsibility to feel everything not just how we are feeling! Often our feelings are sparked by a reaction to wanting to control our environments to be as we want them to be, as you describe, and in that we lose our ability to feel what is required in the moment. It is the constant reminder that the individual is not IT but that the whole is the All, and therein lies the shift of alignment required to be truly responsible.

  401. When we talk about initiation as being about awareness and thus responsibility, it takes any mystery out of the term – a term which has been reduced to meaning, start, beginning, launch or even training and admittance, none of which even begin to convey the greater sphere initiation opens us up to.

  402. I love what you share, it really does bring us to a stop to feel about how we are with our responsibility when we ask others to do things for us. Are we dictating, or we considering the whole and how they are feeling…. in my work of hospitality I am forever having to ask for things to be done, so it will be great for me to look at how I communicate with others and what responsibility, how more loving can I be.

  403. This blog is timely. In particular it shows that when aligned to the whole, we are more connected to each part and that expressing it’s not what just what is said, but how and when. For me, it confirms a feeling I had about an overly hasty response in a particular relationship and supports me to be more attentive to the whole when communicating something that feels important to me.

  404. “I used to think I was responsible and yes, in many ways I was – and in many more ways I was not.” This is the same feeling that I had. There were many areas of my life where I could easily claim to be responsible yet underneath all of that I was completely lacking all responsibility for the quality of energy that I was in, as a result I was, in fact, being completely irresponsible. Today, starting to really embrace responsibility in the true and full sense has been life changing and it makes you look around and understand why we have the state of health we do when we are all living irresponsibility.

  405. Deepening awareness keeps expanding one’s world. In fact, new worlds are discovered in the one. The significance of developing awareness cannot be emphasised enough.

    1. Yes, that increased awareness shows us more areas to be responsible 🙂

  406. Very – it’s also realising there is no downtime – every moment has a purpose. For example I was dreading holidays coming up, and even evenings at home – I didn’t live these moments with purpose – I now live, to the best of my ability, with purpose, even if I have lots of space I use it to prepare myself for the next day – it doesn’t mean I have to do lots, same with holidays, but know I’ve been blessed with space to rejuvenate. Whereas before I thought I had to be ‘doing’ lots of things. I now love this time and space.

    1. I know what you mean – downtime or spare time can be entry points for boredom and frustration plus behaviours that we would normally not engage in. Unless we imbue these occasions with purpose, they are a waste of time.

  407. “… that energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.” Every word we think and speak has a tone and vibration that affects everything in the world around us and beyond. Taking care of their quality and intention is our ultimate responsibility to ensure they never harm another person or creature and express only what comes from the love of our souls. Looking at the quality of our media, entertainment and so on we have a way to go before humanity as a whole aligns to this immutable responsibility. Imagine reading a Newspaper written with such integrity.

  408. Your breaking down the quote to its simplest meaning makes it come alive. What comes out of our mouth is just part of our responsibilities… every move we make in the world also carries great responsibilities!

    1. So true Steve we are always involved with everything that happens in our day and feeling a responsibility to be loving in all we bring is a joy that I am glad to develop.

  409. This subject is huge and it seems like we have been avoiding it for eons, but one going by the state of the world, can’t be avoided for much longer if we want to avoid certain catastrophes. The thing is, we think we get away with stuff, but we don’t and the sooner we face up to things the easier ride we all will have.

  410. So beautifully said Gabriele. Anytime we fall for the idea we are ‘just’ human beings with tasks and activities that need to be done, we miss out on the absolute truth of life: we are Sons of God, divine sparks of light, here to return to our natural state – TOGETHER. Walking, talking, working, speaking, relating or moving without this understanding is the height of irresponsibility, it’s clear.

  411. Gabriele I am sure your amazing blog rouse many people out of their sleep so to speak: ” . . . energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.” I for myself can admit that I am not responsible for that quality you have written about – so thank you so much for shaking me out of my sleep – as it is so much more quality is needed in everything I am doing.

    1. Beautifully honest Ester – I am sure most of us can relate to not always being completely aware of the quality in which we move or speak, and that we can all appreciate a reflection like this blog, that supports us to a deeper awareness.

  412. There is nothing wrong with organising people but if it is done in an imposing way then perhaps we can look at our own need for control and what it says about us. I used to be very bossy and domineering, and some of that still remains, and I love it when friends can invoke changes in others by the simple sharing of just a few words, it inspires me to do things in a different way.

    1. Agreed Carmel, recently I have noticed a situation in a group where everyone wants to take charge, now that is an interesting dilemma because how many leaders can you have. Perhaps you can have lots, but only if the responsibility and the awareness is there to make each decision about equality and the leading is not done out of ego but from a genuine place of love.

  413. I used to think that I was being incredibly ethically responsible when I was active in the animal rights movement but little did I realise at the time that the angst, irritation and overall disharmony that I lived with daily was actually my contribution to the overall energetic state of the world. I was pumping more waste into the environment than a sewage plant !

  414. I love this blog – we are not units of expression bobbing around in our own glass…we are first and foremost a unit of the whole, within a greater and greater sphere.

    1. Deborah that’s the absolute crux of the matter, are we expressing from the ‘Mini Me’ or are we expressing from the enormity of the whole? And to add to that that where we are expressing from will lead back to the origin of that expression. ‘Mini Me’ leads to even more ‘Mini Me’, and the enormity of the whole leads to Love.

  415. Gabriele, thank you. Reading this today is perfect as I feel a situation I dealt with and didn’t handle well, as I made it about what I wanted and did not feel the whole and it went badly … so I’ve been looking at things and here is your blog and the quote you use is perfect to consider the whole before all else. This I will sit with more. I love this ‘“The inner-heart knows the whole, Before it expresses about any part.”

  416. Gabriele, the more you get to learn and to live energetic responsibility, and the vast impact it has (on people, everything, oneself), the more you automatically seek to redress anything, however small, you’ve contributed towards that has created disharmony or harm, from being not responsible from a bodily/expressive/communicative aspect as you share. Living with responsibility is living with awareness… and living with awareness naturally brings you greater responsibility to handle. Because you can. And it’s your (real) job.

  417. ‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All…’
I am really appreciating this. I can often approach life with an attitude of ‘it’s a thankless task’ whenever I feel I am being responsible and others aren’t. This way of being is both loveless and joyless and very harming to myself and everyone around me. I have to be honest and say that sometimes it feels like yes, I can do my best at work, work very hard, do all that I can but unless it’s short of magically making people behave in a way that people want so their buttons aren’t pushed and life is comfortable for them, then it’s a regular occurrence to have people complain, be rude and even shout abuse. But where I take things on and take things personally I haven’t understood responsibility as herein presented.

I know I’ll need to read this many times as there are many levels within what’s written but first I can start with the fact that responsibility is the big picture of the All. I have been choosing to be hurt – I do so much and it’s not appreciated, but I am never isolated or alone in what otherwise feels like daily trials and tribulations. We all have differing awareness of responsibility and the all we can bring. I can step away from responsibility being laced with duty and ‘good’, attachments and prestige, and reconnect with the wisdom of the All and be truly responsible joyfully so.

  418. This brings up another question for me – just how much am I and have I been invested in the way things are to not continually make the changes required to increasingly deepen my awareness and live accordingly in responsibility?

  419. These types of wider questions we can enquire into around any given situation, give us a greater perspective to discern how, what and when with consideration to more than just the short distance goal.

    1. The short-distance goal is always linear and from a blinkered perspective; it merely focusses within a narrow scope, it curtails our joy and narrows our space.

      1. I love this very bodily sense of what ‘time’ does to us – it curtails our joy and narrows our space.

  420. We all have our own perspective in life, none is more or less important than another, understanding that we are all, equally, a part of the All, allows a shift in our perspective. With energetic responsibility we feel everything, not just what is right in front of us.

    1. I agree Alison, learning to see beyond a situation or our immediate surroundings is key.

    2. Understanding that we all have an equal part to play and that the way we express is different to the next person’s expression because without each part we cannot make the whole, supports us be ourselves as there is no one person who can express the very same way that we do.

  421. I am so very grateful that through Universal Medicine, I now understand what energetic responsibility means, rather than feeling it as a burden, it is the complete opposite. The more I live with energetic responsibility, the more I live from love, the more enriched and joyful my life is, as I am living more of who I truly am.

  422. Thank you for breaking the quote down and offering an example as it brought a depth and understanding I could so easily have glided over.

  423. This perfectly explains the conundrum we are perpetually in. It we are to read, see and feel what is truly going on we would have to take up more responsibility, and as you ask Gabriel are we willing? It takes great commitment and love to say yes to the level of responsibility that we all should be walking with. I find it extremely inspiring and encouraging watching many around me doing just this.

  424. This is a great reminder and return to the very clear understanding I gained at a recent retreat. I am responsible for everything that goes in and out of my mouth.

  425. Until I came across Universal Medicine, I had no real understanding of true responsibility, let alone Energetic Responsibility. I thought I was ‘getting away with a lot’, but the reality is we don’t. ‘Everything is energy’ (as Einstein said) so therefore it is right that we look at the responsibility of energy – because in truth, we don’t get away with anything. This blog serves as a great entry point to the conversation and shows practical ways where we can exercise Energetic Responsibility.

  426. This is pretty clear Gabriele, ‘Energetic Responsibility is always about the awareness that we are part of something that is much vaster than any single person, any partnership, any one family, neighbourhood, country, continent and even the earth itself.’ The bigger picture shows us this very clearly and to delay once we have that awareness is irresponsible.

  427. These words are so inspiring…”… once it is known and understood that there is a vastness to connect back to that allows us to know what we need to know at any given moment…” this takes away the overwhelm and or burden that many feel comes with responsibility – there is a bigger picture and everything we ever need to know is there for us if we choose to connect to that wisdom and truth.

  428. I love the word re-spon-sibility. To me this is a very ancient word. A word that describes how we re-spond to something. That something is either a response to something we connect to inside our body or in response to something outside of us. We’re to learn – including myself – to choose to respond in every moment to what our body offers us.

  429. To understand that we are all part of a bigger whole and that everything we do, say or think contributes to this whole, is life changing when we choose to implement this understanding in our daily living.

    1. Yes, Eva, it is life-changing in that we connect to something much grander than the tunnel vision of the spirit and its self-serving agendas, which create separation from the love we know innately within.

  430. Gabriele, you have expanded my understanding of energetic responsibility from what you’ve shared. I have read the book The Way of Initiation many times, it is one of my favorite. I will be reading it again because the wisdom and teachings in this book by Serge Benhayon has many layers, and it is written in multidimensionality.

  431. Its very interesting to reflect on our own needs in any given situation. For they are there and they can very much look like concern or care for another. But sometimes what we are presenting is a way to try and ‘fix’ how uncomfortable we can be in accepting the choices that another has made (which is more often than not a reflection of our own choices). Responsibility is about allowing someone to feel where they are at without judgement and without any need to fix. Every choice has a consequence. It’s a constant learning.

    1. I like what share here “Responsibility is about allowing someone to feel where they are at without judgement and without any need to fix”, something I am really looking at working on, it is so easy to judge people with slightest things, even if you may feel its not judgemental. Just the other day I mentioned that why do people drink more coffee and a colleague shared why are you judging? I had not even realised until he mentioned it that it would of come across judging, so was a moment for me to stop and reflect where else I might be expressing like this.

  432. Whenever we do something without connection – that is being connected to ourselves, our innermost essence, – it becomes functional and directive.

  433. As well as discovering how responsible we are for every thought, action, movement, inaction etc I have also been noticing how irresponsible it is to take responsibility for things that are not our responsibility. A classic example of this that I was looking at the other day is sympathy which is actually harming to all concerned.

    1. That’s a great point Nicola, to take responsibility for things that are not our responsibility, is far from responsible and actually harming.

  434. I actually find there is a great freedom and joy in responsibility for the more I understand how as Serge Benhayon has shared “everything is everything and nothing is nothing” and how deeply we are all interconnected and affect not only each other but the whole Universe (as crazy as that might sound but is true) the more easy I find it to make loving and responsible choices and then in turn the more glorious, simple and fun my life becomes.

  435. Thank you Gabriele for opening up this incredibly important subject – that is very responsible of you. I too have discovered and keep discovering there is more and more and more to responsibility than we ever allowed ourselves to consider.

    1. ‘There is more and more and more to responsibility than we ever allowed ourselves to consider’. Nicola I agree and the same can be said for many other things, awareness, stillness and love being just a few of them.

  436. One common way to shirk responsibility is to pass on tasks to others, so we can tick them off our ‘to do’ list and do not need to feel responsible for it anymore. But what if we are responsible – as is stated here – for every word that comes out of our mouth and further more our every move and thought as those will continue to effect every task we have completed, every product we have sold, every path we have walked?

  437. The sense of responsibility relates very much to awareness; whenever we make life about ourselves and just ourselves like in being busy with worries or a problem our awareness is very much reduced, but when we are open and willing to consider people, the bigger picture or even everyone equally our awareness and hence sense of responsibility expand enormously.

  438. Thank you Gabriele, I love the example you gave, relating energetic responsibility to everyday life and how you said – “In other words, I was expressing about a part (needing to get something done) before I considered the whole, the bigger context.”

  439. Love the second part how the inner-heart would consider every thing to come to something that works for all. And this happens in less than seconds, how truly grand are we and is where we come from?

  440. responsibility is something many struggle to take on the most basic of levels – we often like to break responsibility down and into parts, being responsible in some areas but not others. But what if responsibility is whole that cannot be broken apart. What if we have to look at our whole life and the whole of life and see our responsibility in that.

  441. I’ve always tended to think that taking on more responsibility entails more action and doing more things, but sometimes it is a surrender and accepting that what we previously thought was what we want was not the true way forward.

  442. I used to try to ‘organise’ people too Gabriele, and though things needed to be done I didn’t realise that I was imposing my agenda on people and giving them no opportunity to contribute in their own timing. I had a false sense of responsibility about getting things done which also made me think that responsibility was a burden. Now I see that true responsibility is to take into account the whole context not just my view of it, which means letting go of any attachment and allowing space for things to unfold in their own time yet not losing sight of the purpose. This way we start to move without ripples and in tune with the harmony of the universe and it is wonderful to witness how, in this energy, things get done without any effort.

  443. ‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.’ – Indeed, we can run and we can hide, but that does not change the fact of the responsibility.

  444. Energetic responsibility comes down to a yes or no. Our choice of alignment determines the rest.

  445. What’s awesome about energetic responsibility is that it asks you to be responsibile for your own unique angle/space within the Universe, which is a constant reminder of what we’re made from and part of!

  446. You leave us much to ponder on, Gabriele. Responsibility might mean one thing but energetic responsibility is a vast subject that needs much consideration and application.

  447. Choosing to live in a home that is spacious, clear and beautiful simplifies life and makes it easier to discern between what is true and what is not.

  448. Energetic responsibility affects every area of our lives. I am reminded of this as I continue to clear and de-clutter my home, leaving no stone, shelf or cupboard untouched. All that does not truly serve or reflect love is discarded..

  449. Thanks Gabriele, a really great blog on energetic responsibility. There is no way we can be truly responsible in life if we do not consider energetic responsibility first and foremost. We all feel energy all of the time so if we are not prepared to heed what we are feeling and act upon it then we are being irresponsible. Taking this level of responsibility is not hard but it does require a commitment.

  450. Gosh I can relate to what you have shared Gabriele! I recently did an experiment where I initiated love with my husband and child as the first thing I did on entering the home after a days work. The result of this was not known before the experiment and it could go many ways but what happened with them was they started looking after the house and their things, with no asking on my part, it was fascinating. So now when I am getting fed up with what hasn’t been picked up and put in its rightful place I ask myself if I have been loving or not as it was a direct correlation from my experiment. What ever lessons I learn I know that being all the love we are is the way forward!

  451. I’ve often wanted to shirk responsibility, although I knew it was required. I saw it as you describe – a burden. While I’m not perfect, my view has changed and I do embrace responsibility today, whether at work or home. What I didn’t expect to feel taking on more responsibility was how good I feel when I do!

  452. I recently came to the realisation/conclusion that the greater awareness we have of something, the harder it is to ignore, in the body or otherwise. And thus, the greater responsibility we have. At times I can feel a tension, and for me it is responsibility tugging on my shirt. Knowing this alone makes me accountable for being responsible.

  453. “Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.” So true Gabriele. Eventually our choices will catch up with us and we will have to face the consequences of them and ultimately take responsibility. If it’s not in this lifetime, it will be in another.

  454. “Whoa, how much responsibility are we willing to take and how do we handle it? Where does it begin and where does it end? And what if it never ends but gets vaster and broader, more all-encompassing as we initiate ourselves, and initiation (as explained by Serge Benhayon) being about awareness first and foremost?” How much responsibility are we willing to take? Umm this is an interesting question because I thought I used to be a responsible adult but this was based around my own life. I was responsible when it suited me without taking in the bigger picture. I remember well quite a few times in my life where I have decided to step up and take on more responsibility, but I had not considered that what I had taken on would be for the rest of my life. For example, I committed to an expression programme recently. when I first started it I thought this is something interesting and new, but had not fully considering the bigger picture of what it represents, and it is only with my growing awareness that I can feel how much it serves humanity, and how much it supports my expression, I now know that is part of my life long rhythm and it is not something I can dip in and out of as can be my way with responsibility. I love your blog Gabriele because it wakes us up to the reality of what responsibility really means.

  455. I used to believe that responsibility was a choice – which it is on one level – but now I have a deeper understanding that we never actually ‘get away with’ irresponsible choices. It is more a case that we are responsible for our irresponsibility. We only ever ‘get away with’ something in the short-term.

    1. So, really we never get away with anything. Our energetic responsibility is always present, it is a matter of us being willing to be aware of it now or later. It’s not like all of a sudden it appears, energetic responsibility is always with us whether we like it or not.

    2. Quite right, this is my experience. Every one of our choices always come back to be balanced if they have had a negative impact on another. Living with responsibility offers an opportunity to live so much more simply, purely because there is a deeper awareness of the consequences of what we think, do and say.

  456. I really get from this blog how important it is to express considering the whole rather than about a part. In some ways its a reflection on how I am choosing to live. I certainly used to compartmentalize my life, but now I am learning to see it as one whole. The way I treat myself has changed, and because I have chosen to be responsible about my relationship with me, it ripples out to how I treat others.

  457. I can relate to having an agenda for myself and the others around me. It was all very calculated to help me feel better, but the focus was all about the ‘doing’ and ultimately caused complication and stress for me. Letting go of my rigid self-imposed daily agenda has allowed for more flow in my day and in my relationships.

  458. I find the words in this a bit hard to understand – for me it comes down to how everything you are, do and say affects everyone else.

  459. Responsibility was something that for most of my life I have tried to avoid, so finding out about energetic responsibility and its vastness made me want to head for the hills, but the hills can’t hide you from energetic responsibility once it is known cause it’s bigger than the hills and just about everything else.

  460. Thank you Gabriele, a very needed subject to put under our noses, for we are way too slack when it comes to taking full responsibility for ourselves. There is no such thing as a ‘private moment’, everything we do creates a ripple that not only affects those around us, but one day will eventually arrive back on our shores for us to feel the true impact. One day this will be the reality for all of us rather than a few: “Because it is never about knowledge as such, or any individual, but about the All and what is needed in a particular situation and setting.”

  461. Remembering to be aware of the bigger picture rather than just seeing the ‘part’ completely changes one’ relationship with it, and therefore our choices regarding it, and your example Gabrielle demonstrates this so well. Very inspirational, Gabrielle, thank you.

  462. As we initiate our energetic awareness and energetic responsibility of every move we make we can no longer fool ourselves that we do not have an awareness of our responsibility to the All.

  463. ‘Energetic Responsibility is about the all in the All and we can’t avoid it – not forever anyway.’ – this is such a great point and a reality check. As much as we want to avoid the responsibility of being what we are here to be and let go of all the self identified comforts that we are attached to will anything really change. It will take something quite strong and core shaking to wake us up.

  464. To explore and investigate responsibility in this way is inviting me, inspiringly so, to consider my relationship with it – to appreciate how much it has already changed, but also to stay open to the fact that it is never over; that it is always developing and deepening and that my willingness to keep refining my relationship with responsibility is my responsibility!

  465. Gabriele this was a real joy to read as what comes out is the incredible wisdom in every single line that is presented by Serge Benhayon, for example you picked a couple of sentences from millions yet they could be expanded on in so many ways. The topic itself shows our true responsibility is not simply to brush past something but to ponder and take note of the revelations that are there to support us to grow and evolve.

  466. Thank you Gabriele, the vastness you speak of is so true, I feel the more I connect to how vast responsibility is the more I can become aware of the beauty of God. After all, living and reflecting the beauty and truth of God and where we all come from and truly are can only get bigger and bigger!

  467. Thankyou for sharing this, Gabriele. To understand that it is the whole which needs to be considered and felt first before coming to the particular is very freeing. In understanding those words more deeply I feel supported as the whole supports the paticular, so my understandng is the more we take energetic responsibility the more we are supported.

  468. As we are part of a grander whole we have a role to play and we know that, but to do that in full we have to understand and acknowledge that there is a responsibility to it, a responsibility that is asking us to be aware of this role and its contribution to the whole.

    1. I agree Nico we can be told something a million times but it is when we actually feel it, embody it and start to live it it then becomes our truth. Like I can have a greater and truer awareness of what being responsible means but until I actually fully and truly live this any words I speak regarding responsibility are just empty.

      1. Sure Vicky, when we do not live that which responsibility is asking us to live, all that we say about responsibility is just empty words regurgitated from the mind only making us looking smart but in fact being completely the opposite of what we are preaching. This not only harms ourselves but also the people we are preaching to.

  469. “The inner-heart knows the whole Before it expresses about any part.” ….. with this quote I can feel how I am constantly reminded that what may be in front of me is always a part of something so much bigger, and to understand and appreciate this before I express about what it is, in fact, a very small aspect of something so much greater. This knowing brings perspective and insight.

  470. ‘The inner-heart will feel everything Just so it can know something.” – I love this quote ….. for how can we understand something that is a part of something so much greater than itself, without first understanding the whole. To look at something in isolation of the whole means we only get to feel a certain aspect, our perception of what it is. Feeling the whole, we can then understand a part of the whole in its totality, in its essence, not just our perception of what it may be.

  471. This is a great reminder and lesson about taking the time to consider the context in what we feel, then see before we speak and then the delivery of what is spoken. Awareness is a great thing about us humans…

  472. Gabriele the quote from Serge Benhayon’s book asks us to consider whether it’s ‘My way shall be done’ or ‘Thy way shall be done’ and there’s a world of difference between the two.

  473. Thank you for making this crystal clear Gabriele the depth of responsibility that we need to go to with everything we do taking the all into full consideration and leaving nothing left that has not been dealt with equally so. One can see how this would restore balance and harmony.

  474. “the more and greater awareness someone has, the more they initiate themselves – the more responsibility they have”. Beautiful, wise and true Gabriele; thus, taking responsibility for our expanding awareness we are also responsible for the quality of our every movement. I just love what you have expressed here, thank you.

  475. Gabriele, what a super post, and what a healing read too, the timing of which i must say is deeply appreciated. And relating here to your lines here –
“Is this the right time to address this issue?
How is the other person feeling / what kind of day have they had?
Why am I expressing so forcefully? What is going on for me?
Are relationships not more important than just getting boxes ticked?” — totally, as so often in our self-interested, enforcing way we go to then ruin the actual and very thing we wanted, – order, harmony, flow between people.

  476. I love the example you’ve shared here with your housemates Gabriele, in making this subject of energetic responsibility very real. Thing is, we will not always get it ‘right’, will we… yet it is our willingness to reflect, as you did in the situation, upon the greater whole of the picture before you and your capacity to respond to it, that makes the true difference. This is an integral part of initiation and the building and reclaiming of the awarenesses in life which are available to us. Reflection and our willingness to learn from our experiences, is key…

  477. The ‘I’m alright Jack’ mentality is all pervasive and as a direct result of this, the majority of people look after either just themselves or their little corner. When our sights are set purely just on our own wellbeing and perhaps that of our family and immediate friends then in truth we are looking after no one because it’s not actually energetically possible to look after only ourselves. We only get truly looked after when we are looking after the whole, because we are part of the whole. Looking after only self is like caring only for your right big toe and thinking that you are looking after your whole body.

  478. You have a way, Gabriele, of expressing the deepest energetic truths, so simply and accessibly whilst in no way watering down the message – the reminder – that is here for us all…
We are indelibly interconnected. And as such, to live responsibly is to live with the awareness of which you speak, “no more and no less”.
    Thank-you.

  479. A very clear and concise sharing Gabriele! I am so grateful for the Teachings of the Ageless Wisdom as presented by Serge Benhayon. These teachings offer us a way of being in the world that we may not have experienced before, or even known about, such as energetic responsibility and the difference it makes to us all and how we relate to others.

  480. Gabriele I simply love how you have taken what is, for most of us, an everyday situation (getting others to do what we want them to do, when we want them to do it) and you have applied one beautiful quote from The Ageless Wisdom, which has had the effect of shining both love and truth on the situation which has caused it to disintegrate. What a powerful, powerful tool to apply to any and all situations. Simply brilliant.

  481. You can really see how much we have set ourselves up to have a completely false notion of what responsibility is – and hence, avoid the real responsibility we have, which is simply to bring our all to everything we do in the awareness that everything we do, think and say, affects the All.
The humility that comes with this understanding is absolutely exquisite.

  482. ‘energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations.’ Hmmm food for thought here – how often do we feel what comes out of our mouth? In my experience other people can certainly feel it, so why can’t we? There is a difference between reacting and responding and if someone speaks to me in reaction, I can sometimes react back, because the emotions have rocked my sense of stability, but if I stop to feel and read the situation, I can respond instead to what they are truly expressing and ignore the emotional reaction.

  483. You have totally deepened my awareness of Energetic Responsibility with such a practical every day example and as I also totally related to what you have written, it has given me much to consider, thank you.

  484. Energetic responsibility calls us to go deeper than the superficial ‘right and wrong’; ‘good and bad’, and to make life about truth above all else.

  485. As simple as it may sound when we respond with love and understanding are we not being truly responsible? We first allow the grace of that with ourselves and then it naturally ripples out far.

  486. Just this ‘inciest’ bit of your blog Gabriele offers the hugest of revelations. If we are truly prepared to be more aware then we have said yes to responsibility.

  487. I have come to understand and feel (sometimes) that responsibility is our natural state of being. As we reconnect to ourselves, to our innermost we are reconnecting to the grandness and vastness that is the multidimensionality of the universe which is present in every single cell and atom of our body. So although responsibility increases the more we choose to live from this connection, it becomes lighter because it is simply us expressing our natural way, which we can do more simply the more we choose connection.

  488. Energetic responsibility considers the all within the All. The expansiveness of that is beautiful to feel. The more I/we come to know the truth of responsibility we begin to feel how our every movement and expression, not only verbal ones has an effect on the whole. Thank you for your blog Gabriele, it offers a deeper understanding of the energetic responsibility we have to one another and the all encompassing everything other.

  489. The vastness of responsibility is being presented so clearly here and whilst we could go into overwhelm, we can also go into the simplicity it brings and the lightness it allows. Being responsibility is about knowing oneself so well and so deeply that we allow ourselves to deeply love every part no matter how tiny and thus the outplay will be absolute love and responsibility of the whole. Thank you Gabriele.

  490. Great call here – I’m only too aware of my current tendency to flirt with responsibility but in no way jump in with both feet and commit to this in every moment. Reading the questions which can go unanswered is also rather exposing in relation to a situation that I encountered today. Much learning on offer here.

  491. If we are a responsible person and are good at ticking boxes, it may come as quite a surprise that there are boxes that still remain unseen, a level of responsibility we have not yet considered beyond the veil of the physical realm. Energetic responsibility asks us to go much deeper than the temporal outplay of life and really be astute as to the quality of energy with which we express; is it love or is it not? For as Gabriele presents for us here, it is this energy and its quality that will then precipitate into the physical. This asks us to pause and truly ask ourselves, what is the point of ticking a box if the method employed for the task completed did not contain the fullness of our true expression?

  492. This is a great question… Why no more? Because it is never about knowledge as such, or any individual, but about the All and what is needed in a particular situation and setting. I am still playing around with this, as it is an old habit of mine to rely on the knowledge rather than feel and appreciate what I know deep within. And there has been a part of me that has wanted to be so individual and get so identified by what I know and has often forgotten to feel and has spoken from my head and only from knowledge, just regurgitating it all.

  493. I know from the way that we live our lives that we have forgotten that we are part of something much vaster than ourselves. We have forgotten to look up at the stars and know that is where our true home is. That as you say Gabriele we are part of the universe. Our lives are not set up to deliver this immutable truth.

  494. Discovering there is a universal responsibility beyond our individual responsibilities puts the latter into a perspective allowing an opening for the intention to live with purpose for the All. Not a chore but an honour.

  495. So when something happens physically, whether an incident, accident, society trend or illness, we need to look beyond the physical and look at what energy was chosen first for it to manifest in the physical world. That’s a responsibility.

  496. This blog made responsibility very practical for me. I was struck by the fact that the way we normally consider ourselves to be a responsible person is based on parts. You may think you are responsible working hard to provide for your family or being a reliable employee. But this says nothing about how stressed or grumpy you are at work or how you behave at home when its ‘time off’.

  497. I love this Gabriele. When we are willing to accept the fact the we are all intrinsically and inescapable part of the universe, we then will realise that our every move and that quality we move in has an impact on all that is either healing or harming, loving or unloving, evolving or devolving in nature. Understanding and accepting energetic responsibility is what leads us all to know and freely live all that we truly are here to be.

  498. I can so relate to what you have shared Gabriele about getting things done to my own agenda and not once considering the other person or people, like you say I just wanted the task done there and then so I could cross it off my list and move on to the next thing that need my attention. This was how it was done when I was a child and everyone had their ‘tasks’ to do to ensure that the household ran smoothly. Because if something wasn’t done on time then a spanner was proverbially thrown in the works and tasks got missed and then all hell broke loose with recriminations flying all over the place about who dropped the ball. I feel responsibility is at the core of everything and have noticed how young children today are not given responsibilities and as they get older they are seemingly are less able to cope with life.

  499. It’s a whole new world of responsibility, “energetic responsibility means that I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations”. This certainly turns the stakes on what we have been lead to believe responsibility is and it’s only the beginning. As the article outlines responsibility is never set in stone but a movement, a flexibility of movement that responds to the awareness you have at any moment. So in this way your level of understanding or depth of understanding of what energetic responsibility is may change from day to day or moment to moment. It doesn’t mean this definition will change but more the how you apply it to life may change as you become ‘more’ aware.

  500. There’s a lot to understand from the above blog. I’ve certainly thought much about me when I expressed things. As if I have and had to get ‘things’ off my chest. Just so I got a relief of tension. I am learning now to feel into what to say and when to say it and forever give space for people to also express. I’m learning that this is very beautiful. There’s an allowance of whatever is there to be expressed. What I am learning is that my heart knows exactly what to express and what not to express. At any given moment. There’s so much grace if we only but allow it.

    1. Yes, getting things off our chest, blurting them out and not giving space to anyone or anything else – that is a communication disaster waiting to happen and a huge disturbance to all involved and everything we are a part of.

  501. A question that stops me in my tracks, to be let in and ponder on, and feel the magnitude it implies.

  502. Thank You Gabriele for sharing this quote and it’s application in your life, a situation I can relate to and well worth considering in my own life.

  503. I love how you made this quote super simple and applicable to life. I can definitely relate to wanting to get my bit said even if I sense someone is not feeling well at that moment or something alike, and reading your questions made me really feel how imposing that is. Especially when we do have the awareness of it not being the right time, it is very beautiful to be able to then not say it, as it is not about getting it said it is about everyone and it can only be true when it is the true moment for everyone.

  504. Beautiful, Gabriele. I can clearly feel in my body the difference between making life about my own agenda, or when I connect to everything that I am a part of and surrender to the next moment of its divine design.

  505. I just love this article and the way it inspires a great responsibility. I could relate to getting things sorted without a true regard for others. I have done this many times and gradually as I become more aware and more understanding and more loving toward myself and others this kind of behaviour becomes less frequent. Thank you Gabriele.

  506. Gabriele, this explains so much of the tension, hardness and force I feel when I become singular and focus on just what ‘I’ need done. The thing is though, am I really even me, when I’m acting this out… I say not. Big clue is when we go into justification instead of consideration and stepping back and asking ourselves what is really being played out here… or who’s being played. Awesome awareness to step forth with; thank you Gabriele.

  507. What I can feel Gabriele is that you are basically sharing that responsibility is on one level met with ticking all the conventional boxes but in many ways it is not as with that alone we can still put ourselves in the way and make everything about us when it is clearly not just about us at all! Hence true responsibility is about the whole before it is about purely us and what is going on in our own lives.

    1. There is always a much vaster picture to consider outside our physical three-dimensionality.

  508. Responsibility as per one of many dictionaries on line is stated as a doing word – a noun – “the state or fact of being responsible, answerable, or accountable for something within one’s power, control, or management”. This seemingly backs up how you were and how many of us deal with the relentlessness of life. Even reading this explanation/definition feels like you have to put on a uniform and manage all that you can. What is presented by Serge is the constancy of the Universal responsibility that we are all aware of yet choose not to be. When he says that we shut this down to play small – you can feel what a disastrous choice it is, not just for the individual but for the entirety of humanity and beyond. In this playing small we are guided by our own expectations and boundaries of ourselves and others as dictated by the ‘..control and management’ we have to be able to exert in order to be responsible. Tiring, exhaustive and counter-productive to the truth of responsibility which is a being-ness not a doing after all.

  509. Once we have touched the awareness that we are one with this ‘vastness’ again – and in fact have never been truly separate from it – it is hard to ignore the responsibility we have. It shows us true humbleness and in that we cannot ignore the ‘possibility’…or the truth, – depending on how we choose to see it – that we have in all that we do or express. It births a new relationship with responsibility that is not onerous as it might sound, but can in fact be joy-full.

  510. This is one of those blogs that needs to be read and re-read. For today, picking up on the lines ‘The inner-heart will feel everything Just so it can know something’ – this is a great incentive for us to keep our bodies clear so we can feel everything, i.e. no numbing with food, distracting with activities or dulling our awareness – the more we feel the more we know. Simple.

  511. True responsibility is to be who we are, to allow ourselves to express joy unreservedly, to appreciate, to take care of ourselves and others.

  512. Beautiful article on responsibility and initiation Gabriele. Before I came across the teachings of The Ageless Wisdom through Serge Benhayon I had no idea what true responsibility was, I viewed it as such a burden and one I was not willing to take on – like looking at my life, my future and making choices which made me look like an adult. And then when I started to take on responsibility so called, I became more burdensome and did the things which we are suppose to be responsible about like temporal maintainable, but forgot that true responsibility is about being ourselves first and foremost, there is no burden in that only joy, but it is nothing like the ideals of responsibility we have created.

  513. The topic of energetic responsibility is one very worthy to consider and discuss, as much as it may make one cringe to realise and feel the extent to which this may have been avoided. Energetic responsibility is based on pure equality and is extremely freeing when activated in ones life.

  514. I love this part you have quoted from The Way of Initiation ‘The inner-heart will feel everything just so it can know something.’ Perfect timing to read as just in that moment before starting to read your blog I was aware in my body there is part of me that does not want to feel everything .. when I say everything I mean the true glory of who I and all others are.

    1. Sure Vicky, when we do not want to feel everything we actually deny we are part of a grander whole, that we are divine and so much more than that issue in life we are struggling with and actually have created, so we are not able to see and feel the bigger picture we are part of.

  515. Gabriele, it’s great to read your article about responsibility. I can feel in my life at the moment that some areas have been highlighted where I have not been responsible, such as my paperwork, and so I am now working on these areas and learning how important it is be responsible in all areas equally and not just in some and that it is also important to always be aware of the bigger picture.

  516. Brilliant Gabriele – one of the things that stood out for me was the point you are making is about taking responsibility also when it is ‘just’ for ourselves or when nobody is witnessing what we are doing. How often are we in truth tempted to dismiss our responsibility when we know that no one knows or override the responsibility we have for ourselves at any given time?

    1. And of course, as was said to me recently, ‘We are always being observed’ not necessarily by those in physical form.

  517. Great blog Gabriele, thank-you. No, it’s no good sitting all alone with our thoughts, dreams, fantasies or expectations as the reality is, we are never alone, everyone feels everything and the responsibility of that is indeed very daunting… I suppose it really depends how much love we have for ourselves and how much love we have for humanity, and something I ask myself on a regular basis… do I really care enough to take responsibility and how much do I make it about me, therefore thinking I live in separation from the Universe, when of course I do not.

  518. Hi Gabriele,
What a beautifully written expose’ on the depth of responsibility we all have. Somehow I feel very humbled by the vastness of the responsibility. Thank you Gabriele

  519. There is more and more in responsibility to find once I have started looking and it is quite joyful as much of the responsibility is to be and express all that I am.

    1. Yes, and this is the amazing thing, that from considering responsibility to be a tiresome burden I am realising the transformative blessing that it is when explored and embraced.

    2. oh beautifully said Christoph – you nailed it in a nutshell. Our responsibility is to be and express all that we truly are… and what could be greater or more joyful than that 🙂

  520. Etymologically, the word responsibility is a derivation of responsible and responsible comes from the Latin ‘respondere’ (respond). So, responsibility is the ability to ‘respondere’. The key question is respondere to what? And here is when things start to get interesting because every person may interpret something different and stick to that in order to say ‘I am responsible’. This state of things, where we parcel life and buy into images of responsible, changes only when we start considering energy and, hence, bringing energetic responsibility into the equation.

    1. The way I see it is that we belong to a vastness of Universal order and symmetry that forever impulses us to respond in accordance to it. In any given moment we have the free will to either heed this call or ignore it, and it is our choice here that will then determine the level of responsibility we are willing to go to. I love the word responsibility – it is quite literally ‘response-ability’ that is our ability to respond to the divine light within us all and be in complete harmony and obedience with this.

  521. Thank you Gabriele for this inspiring blog on Energetic Awareness. It is true, as we deepen our awareness of the connection with our own body and thus others and life, the word ‘responsibility’ takes on a whole new meaning – not as a chore, a duty or being perfect, but as a joy in living and expressing in full, knowing that everything affects the All..

  522. I know that ‘ticking the boxes’ so very well. Living in a family of 5 it sometimes feels like I am the only one with my eyes open! When I try to rally support for some tidying up, I can feel it comes with a ‘pushing’ energy as not only would I like the job done, but I’d like it done NOW, please. However, if I consider the whole and speak with everyone from the knowing that the way we choose to live together affects each and every one of us, allowing the space for this to be felt ….. a shift may be chosen and this is the only path for true and lasting change.

  523. Thank you for your very inspiring blog, Gabriele. I feel more expansive having just read it once and feeling all that you have shared.

  524. A lot to consider here about what responsibility truly is and why we do often find ourselves in a rut or difficult situation unsettled by life. Ultimately we are unsettled by the choice to not be responsible, to not show up in full in the love that we are.

    1. Great point; it is how we feel in our own body that affects us first and foremost. And then we react to that and on it goes from there, unless we bring awareness and honesty to the situation.

    2. I agree Katerina we are unsettled by the choices to not be responsible to show our fullness and love that we are. We hide behind a layer and expect everything to just fall into place. Nothing can fall into place until we take full responsibility in showing our full self in our full love through who we truly are.

  525. Thank you Gabriele for this amazing blog. ‘I am responsible for what comes out of my mouth and how it comes out of my mouth, in any and all situations’, I realised after reading your blog how much I am not taking responsibility for my expression in every moment. Sometimes words fly out of my mouth and they may sound OK but the energetic quality and integrity is way off. Most of the time I am only aware of this once I have said what I said. Your blog is such an awesome reminder of how we impact others, the energy of our planet and our Universe. Bringing more awareness is certainly key, I am learning to build on this more and more every day.

    1. I so relate to this, where I say something without really considering what it is I am saying, only to want to take the words back, not often because of the actual words but because of the tone of voice and energy behind them. The more I am aware, the more I realise that when I don’t take responsibility for my actions then they are far more likely to be irresponsible – sounds simple but I am realising that there is no in-between grey area ! I have to choose one or the other.

  526. Thank you for sharing this excerpt and your understanding of it Gabriele. It made me realise that I like things to be orderly and tidy and sometimes that is the first thing I discuss with my husband when he comes home from work rather than how he is. Makes me realise that actually, our relationship is so much more and that him supporting me actually starts with me appreciating him. I love how you bring it back to the fact we are all responsible for what comes out of our mouths and how we are all of the time – this is energetic responsibility and is part of the all.

    1. HM this is something I also do with my husband and sons… and when they bring it to my attention it stops me in my tracks and I can feel how constructive it is and like tunnel vision… only seeing what I want done and not seeing them. But first I’ve been having that tunnel vision with myself.

  527. Thank you for providing such a practical and easy to relate to example of the Ageless Wisdom shared by Serge Benhayon. There are many times where I have wanted others to behave in a different way and I have felt very self righteous when demanding that other people change. If I consider the all there is no room for demands or outcomes, only understanding and love.

    1. Yeah, love for self and others, understanding and acceptance – a work in progress.

    2. Well said, Leone – I was definitely that flatmate that put out the orders, particularly when it came to keeping the house tidy! By looking at the bigger picture, it allows for perspective – do I want to push people away, harden and become frustrated…or do I first and foremost want to be love.

  528. Love this reminder that when in doubt, connect to the fact that there is no such thing as doubt because we know all the laws of the Universe inside out, and then address whatever’s in front of us with the authority of that wisdom

      1. Now that is worthy of paying astute attention to, your definition of doubt – “the momentary pretence that we don’t know something”; or, to put it slightly differently – “the momentary pretence that we don’t know what we in fact do know but rather not know”.
