Walking your Walk

Us humans take a lot for granted. We know that, because when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more, be it a loved one, material possessions, money or our job.

So what about the body?

The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most. The way we use it, abuse it, make it do all sorts of extreme activities, diets, social adventures and just as commonly, letting the body stagnate in the comfort of inactivity by doing nothing at all! Of course, when the body starts showing signs of dis-ease and ill health, some of us take it as a wakeup call, that things need to change; some blame the body for its lack of acceptance of one’s chosen lifestyle and they continue to do what they’ve always done and ‘put up’ with the body’s communications, or silence these communications with ‘medicative means.

Healing is a big deal in our world and there are many who believe they can heal others, that they are talented, have the equivalent of a ‘green thumb’ to the body as if it were a garden bed. But what if no one can actually do the healing for us? What if they can only inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing what has been erroneously lived?

The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?

Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body. These are everyday life activities, many of which we take for granted, not realising the value in these somewhat basic tasks. We may not realise or have the awareness in our everyday life, but we DO know the importance and we DO take notice of these aspects – even if it is on a subconscious level.

We know when we are nervous, tense or stressed because the breath changes and gets fast and shallow. We can tell by watching someone walking down the street whether they are well in themselves, healthy, confident, shy, and insecure or being himself or herself. We know when someone is in a relationship, be it family, friends or partners, that isn’t doing so well and we can see that disharmony in their body by how they talk, breathe, sit, stand and walk.

It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.

There is one man who is presenting this as a fact and in doing so is changing the way many people see themselves and how they use life to their advantage by making use of everyday movements and tasks that we all have to do.

That man is Serge Benhayon.

Not only does Serge support many people in all areas of life through healing workshops and presentations that empower people to take their lives into their own hands and live it the way that life is intended to be lived, he has also recently initiated the modality of Walking Therapies.

Now this may sound strange, but when you think about it, how often do we walk? We have to walk to get from A to B – we have to walk to the bathroom, to the car and to bed (unless of course you have lost the mobility in your legs). So is there something in our walk that can actually have a very healing and medicinal quality for our body? There are sayings like ‘take a walk’ if someone is out of control, or ‘walk it off’ if they need space to come back to themselves. We know the power of a good walk, whether it’s solo or with others. Our walk speaks volumes of how we are so it makes absolute sense to myself and many other people who have experienced the modality of Walking Therapies, as presented by Serge Benhayon through Universal Medicine.

On a personal account, nothing fancy happened in my Walking Therapy session – no crazy hi-tech machines that test the heat and pressure on your feet were used in this operation. It was basic and simple: a group of people walking, but walking in a way that was full of whole body presence and a purpose of expressing who we are in each and every stride. Serge was remarkable in the way he moved and walked from person to person offering one-to-one assistance. Watching him move was inspirational in itself, as the level of love, grace and speed he moved with spoke deeply of the way he lives his life and what he is connected to on an everyday level. You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!

By taking on the small adjustments that Serge offered to me, my body completely shifted and my walk changed in a big way: no longer was I stuck in my head, I was in the presence and total enjoyment of my own movement and flow. I felt more confident, more connected to myself and more connected to those around me and afar. I guess that is saying a lot really – as when we are actually connected to our body and not caught in the mind we can FEEL the level of connection that our bodies have with everything else in life. The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.

The Walking Therapies have taught me much about my movement and the beauty of this is that I can practise it ALL THE TIME! Just as we breathe, eat, go to work, communicate in relationships – life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically.

  1. The deeper we connect to who we are which is our essence❤, the greater our awareness of our connectivity to that innate self when we walk, and sometimes it seems like we have wings on our feet. Maybe we are simply angelic monads just wandering the universe?

  2. For most of my life I’ve put up with my body as you would an annoying housemate. I’ve bossed it around and grudgingly gone forward as long as it’s prepared to do whatever I want. Today for the first time I’m contemplating what life would be like if I gave my body a chance to be in the driving seat. Amazing and harmonious it seems! Thanks for the inspiration Rachael.

  3. Walking to school every day for 8 years, what would that have looked like if I had the understanding and awareness in my body as you have shared Rachel? My next incarnation will deliver the answer, but for now all that is open to us in the way we can connect and walk is definitely life changing and evolutionary.

  4. ‘The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’Absolutely, this is something we should be taught and know first all the way through our life instead of focusing on things like spelling. Yes of course we need fundamental skills such as this but shouldn’t the first one be our well-being and to have awareness and understanding that how we live affects everything including our health?

    1. By making education primarily about spelling, arithmetic, geography and English we are almost guaranteeing that our kids start their lives aligned to an energy that doesn’t want them to know the truth of who they are. If we were to teach them about energy and how it plays out in our lives then we would be supporting them to align to an energetic source that would truly support them in every single aspect of their lives.

  5. I never thought of that, see of course we know how to heal ourselves we even say ‘walk it off’ and literally we can. It is just the true energetic awareness that is needed and once we have this and step up to it we are well on our way ✨

  6. I so value the Walking Therapy sessions. Who would have thought so much could happen and so many changes could take place from simply walking with presence.

  7. “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” and that Rachael is the crux of the matter. So often we seek healing ‘outside of life’ we go on workshops to heal or read books to heal but then change nothing about the way that we are living but as you say if it is the way that we have been living that has made us sick then there can be no true healing unless we change the way that we are living.

    1. So agree Alexis. It’s how we live – the quality in which we move, speak and generally express – that can make a huge difference to our health and vitality.

    2. It always surprises me these days when someone has recovered from a major illness that they want to get back to their ‘normal life’, when it was their old way of living that probable contributed to them getting theIr illness initially. Doctors seem to be fairly late coming to the change of lifestyle table.

      1. Sue I’m not surprised by our desire to return to how we were before our illness for two main reasons, 1) our beliefs hold us in a vice like grip and most of us believe that illness and disease are out of our control and 2) we’re not prepared to put the effort into changing because the way that we are living allows us to stay in a cocoon of comfort.

    3. This makes sense
“as you say if it is the way that we have been living that has made us sick then there can be no true healing unless we change the way that we are living.”
but I don’t feel that society is sick enough to hear these words, because we are very sick and getting sicker without questioning if how we live is contributing to our sickness.

      1. Being able to truly question why we’re getting sick and be open to actually hearing the truth comes from an alignment. If we’re not aligned to the truth then we’ll never seek the truth even though we may seek answers.

  8. I love the line that you have highlighted Ariana, it packs such a powerful punch, it really does. And when lived has the power to quite literally move mountains.

  9. Rachael I loved reading your blog this morning as it brought me into my body, even though my body wasn’t moving. Through your strong connection to your body I was supported to connect more deeply with mine, sublime, thank you.

  10. ‘Us humans take a lot for granted. We know that, because when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more, be it a loved one, material possessions, money or our job.’ When we make the most of someone/something, in the sense that we don’t hold back, appreciate each moment and allow things to complete, we feel complete in our turn and do not regret its passing. How can we have regrets if we feel full?

  11. “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer.?” This makes absolute sense. Making new choices in one’s lifestyle brings different results in quite a short time. The body is always trying to heal itself, given the right opportunities.

  12. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most. The way we use it, abuse it, make it do all sorts of extreme activities, diets, social adventures and just as commonly, letting the body stagnate in the comfort of inactivity by doing nothing at all! ” We take our body everywhere – so why dont we take more care of it? Some take more care of their car than they do their body. Our body speaks truth to us.

    1. Our body is like a wise best friend, ‘ The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.’

  13. What I have so appreciated from what you have shared is the clear understanding that we are all equal, we are all incredibly special and something as supposedly mundane can bring about immense healing.

  14. ‘because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ Absolutely! So in other words movement is literally everything. We can move towards (within) our truth, well-being and vitality or away from it. And if energy is movement we can then ask what energy are we aligned to that is moving us? For this is just as important. The teachings of Universal Medicine are absolute GOLD and offer much to humanity. As you have said no one can heal us but a different/true reflection can be offered to inspire. There is not only so much to discuss here but so much to live ✨

  15. Rachel I was walking through town the other day when I noticed a man so badly over weight he could hardly walk and the chafing of his legs as they rubbed together must have hurt. And if we are honest we do wonder why people can get so over weight, and I wondered if this man was so sensitive to the world that he comfort eats as a way to protect himself from the intense abusive energy he feels surrounded by. We all seem to be self abusive in denial that we are very sensitive human – beings. We hide our sensitivity in many different ways in order to be able to ‘cope’ with the way we have collectively fashioned our society. We have made the mess we live in, we hate living this way and we keep trying to fix it. But nothing can be fixed until we fix ourselves. Until we admit we are very sensitive because we feel everything nothing can change and life will only get worse. Why is it we would rather self harm than admit we are sensitive?

    1. Beautiful Mary. I have heard the same said about tattoos. Rather than judge someone we need to understand why they do what they do – and why.

  16. It’s been a gradual and ongoing process to understand that movement is expressing something all the time, and we can see the more obvious examples like someone slumped over, sad or racy, but how about the expression of our inner magnificence as souls – how does that move? It’s a beautiful exploration.

  17. I sit and listen to usually elderly patients that wish they had taken more care of themselves when they were younger. But when we are young we seem to have this ‘I’m invincible’ attitude and that nothing can go wrong or happen to me. So we disregard our bodies until age or illness catches up with us and then we realise that actually we should have taken more care. I wondered if we took young children into hospitals to show them what happens as we grow older, is it possible they would take a different stance on life and live in a more responsible way?

    1. Mary I have wondered the same about how to educate children and young people about self care, I know I now have many conditions in my body I had no idea I was causing to myself in my younger years. Establishing true body centered self care at an early age would be so supportive.

      1. Maybe children need to be presented with the truth in education, about energy and how it plays out in our lives, that would be a great starting point.

    2. Mary I don’t think that that would make much of a difference, because as you say we all have the belief that we are in some way invincible when we’re young, we don’t and can’t really associate ourselves with being either old or sick. It’s like there’s an inbuilt mechanism in us that prevents us from linking ’cause with effect’, we’re literally blind sided when it comes to us and our own behaviours.

      1. True, it is like we have no awareness, maybe the energy we are aligned to prevents us from seeing the truth, ‘ It’s like there’s an inbuilt mechanism in us that prevents us from linking ’cause with effect’, we’re literally blind sided when it comes to us and our own behaviours.’

  18. It is so true that we often suggest people go for a walk to cool off, I remember the police using it in a number of instances that I thought they would simply arrest the person in question. Our bodies expose so much in their movements, like the person who is very nice but slams the door with all the fury that they didn’t feel safe enough to express, or the slamming around the kitchen not noticing the tension in the body and the muscles knowing the dinner needed to be ready on time.

    1. Yet those same people may not even be aware of the inner tension they carry, which can express through banging doors etc. I observe this a lot in the changing rooms at my local pool, where door banging is ever present.

  19. Walking our walk …. today my walk felt awesome, my body felt strong and I felt so connected within and pretty light in my step. Definitely something to appreciate and in this appreciating Walking Therapies which has helped me understand so much more about myself and true movement and well … walking ✨

    1. There is always so much more to learn in life, take for example the Walking Therapies, simple yet profound in what is shared, ‘The Walking Therapies have taught me much about my movement and the beauty of this is that I can practise it ALL THE TIME!’

  20. For much of my life I have walked contracted, felt small and lacked in self-worth… to walk my walk with the knowing and confidence of who I am, with all the qualities that I bring is the most fantastic transformation.

      1. Thank you Rachel❤️ and Michelle❤️. I Absolutely agree that watching anyone walk when they are connected is life changing, as the inspired magnificence is felt by everyone.

  21. “everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” Through the body we get to understand life, we get to feel our part in it and our connection to the glorious all.

  22. “It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.” Yep and yet is so important, if we figure this out we really get life sussed.

  23. ‘So is there something in our walk that can actually have a very healing and medicinal quality for our body?’ Yes!! How could we ignore or dismiss movement when we are doing it all the time! Yet we do, I deeply appreciate what Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine are teaching with regards to this. So very simple, yet the way we walk can change everything.

    1. Agreed, it can change everything, our mood, our patterns, our thoughts and even the way we speak. It is part and parcel of our medicine chest.

  24. “Use life to their advantage by making use of everyday movements and tasks that we all have to do” – wow, I really love how you have put this. This is a very different way of looking at life, one that tells us nothing is nothing, even the most mundane, habitual activities we do without thinking is everything, and much more than what we make it to be.

    1. Since embracing this concept I can honestly say that I no longer have dull moments. Wiping down the kitchen or doing my laundry is simply a lovely opportunity to hang out with myself, enjoying my qualities and my expression of them.

      1. Life presents continual opportunities to express, and to deepen our connection with self, ‘life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically.’

  25. “… doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” This is such a powerful line because it exposes the false consciousness that illness and disease are random, when the way we live every part of life and the quality of energy we are in determines our health and wellbeing.

    1. Too true, how we live, the way we live, is responsible for our health and well-being, ‘the way we live every part of life and the quality of energy we are in determines our health and wellbeing.’

  26. Experiencing walking therapies, have helped me about what I portray to life. I’ve found since being introduced to it, that my posture has changed in that my spine feels longer and I feel taller. And every time I attend, I refine it further and discover more about me.

There is an expression of life to the way a person walks, you can tell so much by it. It is no different to the way a car is driven. Spend some time observing the way a person walks, and what do you really observe about them except the fact that they are walking.

  27. Learning to walk free of all the impositions that life puts on us, the ideals and beliefs that we take on and the burdens from life times past, is truly magical. It is amazing what a few Walking Therapy sessions with Serge Benhayon can change. To be able to feel the power of who we truly are in our walk is a true blessing and incredibly healing.

  28. Rachael, I would agree with this; ‘The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most. The way we use it, abuse it, make it do all sorts of extreme activities, diets, social adventures’. Reading this makes me reflect on how I used to treat my body – taking part in extreme activities, drinking alcohol excessively and smoking – the list goes on. And this is seen as ‘normal’ in society.

    1. The scary thing is that I, like so many other people would have actually argued that I took great care of my body when the truth was I was trashing it. I trashed it by not sleeping/resting when I needed to, I trashed it by eating ‘healthy’ food that made me bloat, I trashed it by pushing my body to exercise daily when I was exhausted, I trashed it by pushing it to help others before helping myself and I trashed it by loading it up with false ideas about life. I could continue with my list but you get my drift, we trash our bodies by doing the very things that society heralds.

      1. I used to think I was taking care of my body, but I would be extreme with the amount of exercise I did, frequently exercising when I was already exhausted. Why do we fool ourselves with such rubbish beliefs?

    2. Unfortunately we do abuse our bodies, it seems to be a normal part of life, why is it that we are never taught that our bodies are precious, to honour and cherish them?

  29. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” And when we walk with all of who we are, there is no denying what we feel is true.

    1. This is a profound line because it acknowledges the honesty of the body to receive all of life, not just what the mind thinks or what we prefer to see.

  30. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” There is much truth and grace in that.

    1. The body does feel everything; how amazing it would be if we were taught from a young age to listen to and honour our bodies, that they are precious, and to be nurtured and looked after.

  31. The Walking Therapies have changed not just my gait or walk but my whole life simply because I now walk through it [life] changed and much more free in the hip area and also shoulder area too.

  32. It is an interesting comment that the body feels what the mind cannot see. Why not use the whole body intelligence rather than just recalled knowledge and previous experiences.

    1. Yes, the body is a barometer and the mind processes it’s messages. If we have a traumatic experience the mind can form neural pathways as a reaction to the unwanted experience so that we do not experience it again. Yet if we do not clock the aversion to situations we might end up walking a number of detours trying to avoid getting hurt that actually hurt our bodies far more than if we had sought support to understand the traumatic experience in the first place.

    2. Because using recalled knowledge and previous experiences are part of the way in which we are able to stay as we are, wedged in our oh so comfortable discomfort. Let’s not rock the boat eh and if anyone does stand up and rock the boat then the rest of us will try and tip them out, which is why most of us stay seated and stay stum.

  33. “….everything in life is an opportunity to heal….”. The walking therapies are a great example of this, after all we walk a lot during our day, moving from one place to another. Going ‘for a walk’ gives me the opportunity to experiment with the information I’ve been given and find a new way of walking that feels so different from how I’ve walked all my life. How we move is so important.

  34. We are naturally designed to live (feel) our way through life though the connection we have with our bodies. The Walking Therapies are supporting us to reconnect to our ‘natural way of being’ as we are Human Being not Humans doing.

    1. I was aware the other day how tense and stressed I was when walking during a lunch break, like I had to get somewhere really fast and had no time. As soon as I noticed this I slowed down, came back to my body, came back to my heart and walk and everything changed ❤️

  35. Walking Therapies is a powerful modality that frees the body up to move in its designed and natural way. As the layers and constraints that we’ve ingrained into our bodies literally get walked off you feel a sense of spaciousness and openness in the body, an experience that can inform every walk.

    1. Very true Rosanna. Who would have thought that something so simple as walking can be a healing modality. The quality of our everyday movements can either harm – by ingraining old ideals – or heal……

  36. I am so grateful to have been able to attend a walking therapy with Serge Benhayon and wowzers they aren’t just a walk in the park. This is where we pull our socks up and get into it, thought he different exercises offered and experiencing them it was undeniable the chose we have and how we walk. But more importantly how this had a massive impact not just on myself but my partner and the whole room. So a profound experience and one that I can take with me to explore and have fun with.

  37. A simple change in the way I chose to walk to work had initiated a massive change in my whole composure at work and in life. It only takes a choice to walk in your full power and authority for you to initiate a significant change in your walk. Walking in any other way is in fact illness and dis-ease.

  38. We take so much for granted, it is often only when we do not have something that we really value and appreciate it. Just like with another person the same goes for our bodies and health. When we are feeling great no problem, but it is usually only when things go wrong that we start to look at the way we are and have been living. So why do we need to be forced rather than continuously choosing love. It makes no sense as we are the ‘intelligent’ species but shows there is more going on than purely what our eyes alone can see.

  39. ‘everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body’. Without this awareness of our bodies we are lost…we are then reliant on the mind and thoughts that can take us way off course..bringing it back to the body brings it home.

  40. The Walking Therapies as Serge Benhayon has presented are a game changer, because they bring us back to the fact that we are vessels of energy and the way we move affects EVERYTHING. We can deny this and think we have the answers, but if we do not first move with the love we are, then the answers we get will simply be to solve the problems we face rather, than truly and fully embracing the love we are.

  41. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.”

I love this line. Not only is it so true, it also helps us be aware of how much we use the noise in the head to drown out the simple communication of the body.

    1. If we were to simply live the words you have shared Elizabeth our life would change, rather than seeing life as a challenge and a fight, if we see life as opportunity to live the love we are we will not fear or react to what is before us, rather we will embrace it. And when we move with this acceptance and quality we will deepen and solidify the love we are.

  42. Since experiencing the Walking Therapies with Serge Benhayon, every day has changed because of how inspiring and incredible it was.

    1. Walking therapies and the Livingness have really changed how I look at healing, because the way we move and how we live our lives everyday can be incredibly healing, and to not just restore function in the way we normally associate with healing, but to restore true beingness.

      1. True healing happens when we get back in step with God and this is a very practical thing, experienced in the body. Which is why as you say Melinda ‘the way we move and how we live our lives everyday can be incredibly healing’ because in any given moment we can either be with God or without God. He’s not some distant dude in the sky, He’s the very life that’s in and through our bodies.

      2. Gorgeous Alexis, I love this! What a cracker line too, to “get back in step with God”. Delightful 🙂

    2. It’s such a simple, simple thing but to walk with the authority of who we all are is so incredibly powerful, it leaves an energetic stamp of truth on the Earth.

  43. We take movement for granted and much of the time we can be on auto pilot moving from A to B without being aware of how we got there, and we completely forget that how we move has an impact on everything we do and everything we say.

    1. I agree Alison and cannot but wonder how much are we missing out on when we move from A to B lost in autopilot.

    2. Most of us are on auto pilot for our entire lives, the A to B that we seem to zone out in often being the years between the age of about thirteen right up until death. We are literally sleep walking our way through life even when it’s action packed and adrenaline filled. And I say that because we currently equate sleep walking with inactivity but it has nothing to do with inactivity and everything to do with which stream of energy we are aligned to.

  44. More recently I have also been aware of my posture as I stand and as I walk and about letting my ‘heart’ lead the way. This comes from intention but also physically feels so much lighter in the body when the heart leads the walk and the talk.

  45. This is the blessing of the body as it allows us a connection to the deeper aspects of ourselves: “life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically.”

  46. It is very true – the more we go within and deepen the relationship to self the more we feel connected to those around us and beyond. It is in fact the opposite to what we have been taught or reflected to us where we live from a place of what is going on around us and allowing ourselves to get swept in by the drama, hustle and bustle of life.

    1. So well said Caroline – when we feel disconnected it is when we have jumped into the dramas around us, rather than dealing with the dramas from the cardio-centric view of staying in the body and letting the heart lead the way.

  47. I love how Serge Benhayon continues to offer us so many different modalities to support our healing. The Walking Therapies are super valuable in everyday life as this is something we are doing all of the time. Every step can be taken in the authority of embodied presence, because our body and mind are working together as one.

    1. How we walk is super important for many reasons, what a great modality to support our healing; yes to walking with presence and authority.

  48. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” – how important then is the body as a tool to support us in life and in everyday situations? A very precious tool indeed.

  49. A wise man once said something along the lines of this: if the way we live makes us sick then changing the way we live can be our greatest medicine.

    1. This makes so much common sense, Henrietta, and yet we humans will do anything we can to avoid taking responsibility, even for our own bodies, as evident by the statistics of illness and disease. The Walking Therapies are great medicine indeed, just one of many modalities offered by Serge Benhayon to help bring us back into harmony with our bodies.

  50. I’ve not experienced one of these walking therapies, but I can tell when my walk isn’t supporting me in any way. The more I focus on how I walk and the energy in which I’m doing it, the more aware I am when I’m rushing or not paying attention or being totally present. It’s a great exercise.

  51. By bringing our focus to how we are walking supports the whole body to readjust itself and often brings everything back into alignment. Even though it can be extremely subtle, we do notice and feel these subtle changes, and it also becomes apparent to the observer, although they may not always be able to discern what is different.

  52. Very true. It is a way of living and observing our movements that takes greater advantage of who we truly are, instead of the denial that we are just a human being. This is indeed what Serge does well, this is what is truly simple to watch and feel in the way Serge presents and offers the Walking Therapy sessions. He walks what he talks – it is the way he lives.

  53. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.” Very true. But when we start to take true care of it, the pay back is enormous in terms of benefits to one and all.

  54. I suspect most of us think we are walking our walk. And yet if we had captured our walk and movements on film over our life time it would be clear to see changes and patterns forming that were not originally there. I am coming to realise just how much we imprison ourselves in on going patterns just by the way we move. Each step can confirm a false belief we have in life, such as struggle, victim hood, mental arrogance etc. This wears our body into a groove that is hard to shake unless we develop consistent body awareness.

    1. I was captured in a short video clip and what I had in my head of how I held my body was very different to what I saw on the screen. It was an interesting experience and it made me wonder how cool it would be to record our posture and walk to see how they relate to how we feel and our vitality levels.

    2. I agree Fiona, it does require a consistent level of awareness if we want to change our movements because of the attachment and entrenchment in which we have lived however I love and am too beginning to feel and get a sense of how capping and contracted these ill-behaviours and beliefs are because by becoming aware of the abuse first we can only then change our ways.

  55. The key to a healthy and more vital life is to put ourselves back in the driver’s seat and be fully aware how we move through life so we do not simply sit back and let life move through us.

    1. Great point Liane, such powerful yet simple wisdom, and how amazing does it feel to be in the driver’s seat of life?

  56. It takes one who lives IT to share with others how to live it themselves. Thanks to Serge Benhayon for being the One who is willing to do whatever it takes for everyone else to equally become and be the One.

  57. ‘You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!’ On the other hand humanity is not doing human very well at all. …Watching one of the latest games for children on the virtual reality circuit I would even go to say we have lost our humanity. The action is so far divorced from what is real in life let alone what is true that it beggers belief. There are more and more ways to check out and avoid being present and participatory in relationship to the world today. Everyday living is becoming more and more lifeless and more and more cold and calculating, mental and sensational and otherwise emotional. We so need the likes of Serge Benhayon to bring us back to a sense of what is true and to have us feel again (without reaction) and connect with ourselves and each other from a place that is free of these impositions, of what we are being told to believe and how to ‘live’.

  58. There is only one man that has shown and reflected the powering of walking your own walk, I have been blown away by Serge’s reflection in his walk, let alone all his other movements he reflects. You can feel without question all that he is choosing and saying yes to, and when the opportunity came to partake in a walking therapy session I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Sure enough life changing and still to this day I feel the reconfiguration of my walk and how letting go of things that constrict you is beyond powerful.

    1. Everything that Serge Benhayon does, he does in such a way that he eliminates the self and so what gets reflected is God. God walking, God talking, God moving, God sitting still and this is not something particular to Serge Benhayon, this is something for us all to eventually do. Get ourselves out of the way in order to reveal the God that was there all along. God is always and has always been there, it’s just that we’ve done a masterful job at covering Him up.

  59. The walking therapies are incredible, I am a health practitioner who is beginning to really get a sense of the power in being postural aware, much more than just the functional aspects, I am inspired by Serge Benhayon concerning this awareness of the deeper healing and empowerment that can occur.

  60. I have attended two walking therapies sessions with Serge Benhayon now, they are simple, deeply healing and powerful. It was amazing noticing the difference in how everyone walked after the walking therapy, letting go of old configurations in their bodies that no longer belonged.

  61. While I’ve never had a walking therapy I do know that walking is like therapy. I find that a walk can be very healing if I’m not feeling myself. It also allows me to check in with myself – am I standing up straight, what is my gait like, am I in my head, etc. It’s often the simple things that can be the most powerful.

    1. I agree, I had a walk today and I felt my body more, connected with a rhythm and felt empowered by it. Healthy choice made, love it.

    2. Great Nick, and something as simple as our walk can either support us to heal or further cement our wayward behaviours. We can tell how vital someone feels just by the walk they walk. So it makes sense that the way we walk can assist us to heal and have more clarity.

  62. It is amazing to be aware of how powerful our walk is and also our very movement. Through our movements we have the power to change our lives and the world.

    1. In a world of ceaseless movement within a universe that is constantly expanding, how we move will determine the precise source of energy we align to – be this love or be it not.

  63. ‘The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.’ I agree, Rachel and is the thing we abuse the most. Changing how we move it and walk it results in fundamental shifts of choice in all other areas of our lives.

    1. Choice leads to choice leads to choice. How we choose to move (and everything is a movement) leads to the range of choices that we will subsequently get offered. It’s not possible to choose our way out of something in one giant leap, we have to ease our way out one loving choice at a time until such time that we feel a million miles away from where we were previously.

  64. This has been something I have recently become more aware of… appreciation for what is on offer in each and every moment. Why hang on to the past, dream about the future, seek drama or indulge in hurts when there is an abundance of love on offer to connect with and tap into?

  65. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.” This is so true. We will so readily make almost anything more important than our bodies, but at what expense? Eventually they will stop us in our tracks if we keep ignoring the messages they send. Far better to pay attention sooner rather than later and act on what we are being offered.

  66. How we move is how we express. I found the walking therapies to be invaluable, bringing so much more awareness to how I walk and the quality I walk in.

    1. Same for me Sueq2012, I appreciate and understand that the power of our walk can support our body and support our evolution. This highlights that our quality of expression can be either healing or harming and also reminds me to consistently check in with my body the quality of my movements.

  67. We walk a lot….curiously how much attention do we give to the way in which we walk. I would guess not a lot, especially compared to how much we walk. I remember Serge Benhayon a few years ago talking about how few of us in the human race are actually really connected to their body and walk in whole body presence. I know at the time I was not very connected and often walked ‘checked out’ – thinking about anything and everything. I felt that so acutely as to the impact that this must have on the earth when all these millions of people are walking (even stomping) around in disconnection to themselves. I reckon more than climate change would have actually.

  68. I have to have a tooth out and if I had cut down on the nuts and seeds and other crunchy things way earlier I may have been able to save my tooth….or at least have it last a way longer. It’s interesting that munching on seeds was the last straw for this particular molar…..something,( eating seeds and before that nuts) I know is not always wise for my digestion and even something a dentist once told me not to do because of the wear on my teeth and the possible fragility of them. I did stop for a while. We always know how to look after ourselves but sometimes stubbornly ignore the professional advice if it is not what we want to hear and chance that we can ‘get away with it’. We cannot, as my tooth is quite clearly demonstrating.

  69. The walking therapies are indeed a gift from God. When we were walking as a group, and Serge asked us to walk in a situation, I could not believe how draining and exhausting it was to walk like that. Especially, when you think that everyone is walking like this, it makes sense the level of despondency we live with on a daily basis.

  70. Yes! This makes perfect sense. Like it is soooo sensible ‘because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ How we live holds the key to our health, our everyday choices and movements, how simple could it be and costs nothing! However, I did not truly understand or feel this until I met Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon, but this is something we should all be taught from young, as well as the truth in energy, which is also taught and presented by Universal Medicine.

  71. Serge Benhayon has been bringing our awareness to our walks for a long time now. Just having presence and feeling the swing of your arms and hips has a hugely healing effect by bringing you back to your body. There is a lovely rhythm in my walk that reassures and steadies me and allows me to feel me again if I get lost in the computer or my work.

  72. Simply walking has become a science that allows us to deeply appreciate how and what is moving our bodies.
Then in feeling what a joy it is to be connected and present with our essence and the joyfulness that is coming from the fluid movements as the body moves to it’s own rhythm, providing a clear relationship with more Love movement.

  73. Healing is a collaboration, firstly the person with themselves and their soul, then if required a practitioner as a facilitator, then as well the people around oneself by reflection and nature by symbolism…

  74. Our walks are only truly our walks when we connect back to our innermost and allow the power of the all to flow through us.

    1. Amazing Jenny, not many people know about what you’ve shared and therefore, through reflection and the quality of our walk we are able to inspire people around us. Also, the more we walk in our power we are in fact offering healing for all.

  75. We are never not healing, it simply cannot stop and has nothing to do with illness and disease, but much more with clearing ourselves from what we are not and releasing more of who we are.

  76. We only ever can offer another the opportunity and facilitation of healing, but the healing itself is fully a self-responsible choice and process we can embrace and activate/live at any moment, i.e. stopping the activity of the ill energy that produces any suffering, misery, illness and disease.

  77. I now know it to be true, that the mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – even when I don’t want to feel something I know that my body has felt it – we can’t not feel, we can only choose to not be aware of what we are feeling.

  78. It is so true that our movements reveal and communicate everything of the quality of energy we align to, so it makes absolute sense to develop a loving and honoring relationship with our body. For in bringing honesty and awareness to the quality of how we are moving we can maximise our connection to our essence and all that we are intrinsically connected to and walk the power of who we truly are, and really, are here to walk. Thank you Rachael, for presenting how empowering and transforming the Walking Therapies with Serge Benhayon are as this also was my experience, and as you say an amazing tool we can put into practice to continue to deepen ‘ALL THE TIME!’

  79. I’ve experienced walking therapy sessions with Serge Benhayon and they truly are profound and incredibly supportive. The insight that he shares on the different qualities that can be there when we move and walk is so valuable.

  80. There comes a moment when we realize that every move matters, that it is either harming or healing. That fact actually makes me stop in my tracks and take a moment to consider the significant meaning, but then it simply asks me to choose wisely the quality of my next move and that move is always now.

  81. Yes, we have put all our eggs in the basket of medicine and healing from by others yet what about life and the way we are living each and every day?

  82. We take most of our movements for granted and once we have ‘learnt’ a movement we rarely go back and truly feel wether we are moving in a way that is true and honouring of ourselves. We allow ourselves to walk with things that have affected us during our day and also through our lives, making us walk less then who we are. I know from my own experience from these walking therapies, I used to walk small and hide instead of walking the fullness of myself and showing the world how amazing I am, a true healing indeed.

  83. Powerful to understand we heal ourselves through everyday activities and quality of movements.

    1. It sure is and this is the true blessing that is offered through the teachings of Serge Benhayon, for us all to realise and activate in our lives, so that we can live and magnify the power of who we are, why we are here, and inspire others to equally do the same, as Serge reflects through his every movement.

  84. “everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body”. To live life with this understanding brings out our true qualities, not those imposed on us from the outside.

  85. What Serge Benhayon is presenting via the Walking Therapies is nothing less than miraculous. What I have felt in my own body and also observed in others as we were introduced to this heaven sent modality, was so simple yet at the same time hugely profound. There is no end to what is possible when we walk in connection to the power of who we are, and the ripple effect that has on everyone and everything around us.

    1. Our movements send a constant message, they are either saying ‘owned’ or ‘claimed’. Owned by the pranic consciousness that rides us like donkeys or claimed as The Living Sons Of God That We All Are.

  86. Yes I agree these walking therapies immediately bring mind and body together as one and we begin to walk in our authority. We can let go of lifetimes of baggage and allow a new life to emerge for us.

  87. I recently attended one of these Walking Therapy sessions Rachael, and it was incredible how much shifted for all that were present . As you say, Serge supported everyone individually and equally, and by bringing focus to how we move completely shifted the way we walked so that our bodies moved effortlessly but with such grace and power. Such a simple tool, but one that when brought consistantly to our everyday, makes such a difference to everything that we do.

  88. We spend so much time on our feet it is worth investing some time and effort being aware of the way that we walk.

  89. I would an undeniable YES to this question…”So is there something in our walk that can actually have a very healing and medicinal quality for our body?” We constantly move, but what is the quality of these moments, how we walk makes all the difference to our perception, wellbeing and health and also has a significant impact on those around us.

    1. For the vast majority of the time wherever our bodies physically are, we are not. We are some place else, caught up in our heads, worrying about something, going over and over something else, negatively predicting a particular outcome, obsessing about something or someone, basically anywhere but in and with our bodies. The antidote is to come back to feeling and being in the body. Pure gold.

  90. Having just done category 2 walking session I can see and feel even more how powerful this modality is – and what a responsibility we carry.

  91. “….everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” Indeed, and walking in connection to who we are is one powerful way in which we can do this. We simply cannot underestimate the power of moving in a quality that fully expresses our very being, however simple that movement is.

  92. We make life more complicated and more complicated and more complicated in the name of answers, when we have the simple truth in our heart and movements the whole time.

  93. I have recently done the Walking Therapy with Serge Benhayon and found it incredible to feel how I can be walking and also how I have been walking and the huge difference between the two. My body felt much stronger, energised and vital and I could feel the purpose in my walk, bringing me to each step. It has helped me to feel on a different level how my movements affect my body and how I am in life.

  94. I like how you describe the body as an instrument of expression. It is our responsibility to live our body in a way that gifts this instrument to God.

  95. I experienced the Walking Therapy sessions for the first time last week. Oh My Goodness. Joyous and inspiring to feel the well of power that is accessible to us all…shocking to feel how I have held this back.

  96. It’s funny how most of us, when asked to consider that our bodies are reflections of our movements and choices, don’t like to see this. We don’t like to see that we are responsible for any illness or disease. BUT – there is gold in this science. If we are responsible for the illness and diseases, if they are the effects of the choices that we have made…then by the most simple of equations, we are then also the ones who can correct, heal and clear ourselves of those diseases; of course we must often seek the help of the traditional medical system, but is it not glorious to embrace the fact that we are our own doctors and our own healers – rather than how most feel – which is utterly powerless and at the mercy of the medical system?…..or taking it deeper, is this in fact a price we are prepared to pay, so that we can continue the denial of our responsibility?

    1. That’s SO true Otto – such is the norm to blame ones illness or even a situation on ‘randomness’ or even just being ‘unlucky’ then go to the medical professional to get fixed. Where’s the power in that? Where’s the lesson in that? Where’s the healing? Answer… none. We are the ones who walked it.. and we are the ones who can walk it differently.

      1. That’s what’s so crazy; you so often hear people talk about how powerless they feel when they are embroiled in a journey through an illness. And yet, this is the gold of what is being presented here, what Serge Benhayon is offering us, what is at the foundation of the Way of the Livingness; that the ultimate choice and power lies with us.

  97. “Just as we breathe, eat, go to work, communicate in relationships – life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically.” It is the everyday things we take for granted that bring us a deeper understanding of life and if we pay attention and treat them as the treasure they are we will not only get to know ourselves deeper but also our place in the universe.

  98. I love what you have pointed out that if we can get sick from the way we live then the way we live is also the way to be part of our own getting better! It really is so obvious and yet, until you realise there is so much that holds you away from acknowledging that, then the game continues and we continue to get sicker.

  99. It is lovely to bring to the fore things we take for granted and walking and our bodies are clear examples. When we relate to our body as the precious vehicle it is, the ripple effects are huge and touches everyone we meet. Every interaction we have with another is ‘the one’: make the most it, connect, bring love, honour the one before you as the divine being they are.

  100. “walking in a way that was full of whole body presence and a purpose of expressing who we are in each and every stride’. This is the walk of life and confirms we who we truly are. Without it we are walk with an empty heart and become vehicles controlled by outside forces.

  101. “Us humans take a lot for granted”. I can put my hand up and say that I am part of this too. At times I can feel how important it is to appreciate everything in life and not judge the ‘good from the bad’. Appreciation brings us together, opens the heart and restores delight and awe in this life.

    1. I agree Eduardo. For most of my life I had just taken for granted the movement and mechanics of my body. Now through the teachings of Serge Benhayon I am beginning to scratch the surface of the energetic science of what is actually going on. A infinite well of truth; this is a true education, a study of purpose, a learning for life.

  102. Recently I was having a conversation with two young women and one of them was working crazy hours and I asked her to consider that fact that she might be able to do this when she is in her early 20’s but is this a good idea? Is it possible to consider that by the time she gets to her 30’s what state will her body be in when she is exhausted now? I have discovered the hard way that our bodies respond when we work with it rather than against it.

  103. We are expressing all of the time, the way we move, the way we sit, the way we see, hear, let along how we speak, when we speak and why we speak! If we opened ourselves up to consider what being aware of how we communicate might be like, we would learn so much about ourselves that we could then apply to understanding life and others.

  104. That life as such is our medicine is a humbling revelation and there is so much to live from.

      1. We learn complex formulas in school but this simple everyday and every moment wisdom we learn not.

  105. This is super beautiful what you share here Rachael, so much simplicity, so much wisdom. And I love the simple truth in this one sentence:
“The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.”

  106. This goes to show how we actually have a huge capacity to re-empower ourselves and not be at the whim, or a victim of issues, concerns and emotions.

  107. The Walking Therapies are life-changing. Since attending the Walking Therapies session, I have noticed how my posture is automatically straighter without the effort of trying to straighten. There is more presence and enjoyment of feeling the body when you walk and adjust to the body as you move.

  108. ‘then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ Yes, it does! I am starting to appreciate the way I breathe makes such a huge difference. I can reconnect to me or breathe in the situations around me and get stressed.

  109. For me the walking therapies have been an ‘eye opener’ I am much more aware of how I am walking and walking with my body does change my thoughts. When I’m walking with my body I’m with all of me very content and this feels completely different to when I’m walking with my mind wandering all over the place, I’m all over the place and completely checked out from my body there is no contentment at all.

  110. Serge has totally made me see that everything that happens to us is a direct result of our choices and how we live, therefore we need to wise up and accept that responsibility if we really want to live our truth and discover the joy that awaits if we finally do.

    1. Just as we blame our bodies for being honest with us – I mean how rude that the body will not let us eat , drink and do whatever we want without consequences right???! So too do we blame a person who comes in to our lives and points out that we have a responsibility for what happens to us in our lives and PARTICULARLY how we respond to what happens to us in our lives.

  111. We are always carrying with us, what we have already lived and all our choices, so it makes sense to not accumulate any more burdens or ill baggage by living and moving to the truth of who we truly are.

  112. “if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?…” Yes, very true.. how we live, respond, react, do, the way we live could be the key ingredient to our health and wellbeing.

  113. We spend so much time walking that it makes sense to move in a quality that supports and leaves us feeling vital rather than exhausted at the end of the day.

  114. Breathing, walking and sleeping; probably the three things that we do most in our life. Thus it is no surprise that Serge Benhayon, a master of life, places so much importance on these three things and has done so much to show us the support that these three activities can give us. Super simple. Super practical. Real life.

    1. Yes and we have it all, all of us, nobody is singled out. How grand is that and how very simple it then makes life to be.

      1. So true – because neither of these three are special skills or talents. Everyone does them and can do them…and thus everyone has equal access to their soul. Serge Benhayon has always, always presented with an astonishing and deeply loving equality – a true lived knowing that we are all one and thus no one is more than one other.

    2. Organisational managers and consultants, often emphasize abilities, skills and complex management models to develop people, yet ‘these three things’ could be the way. The simple and most practical tools are often the ones most likely to be overlooked

  115. “It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.” So much of what Serge Benhayon presents makes absolute and immediate sense to me because, as you explain in this blog, we know it all already; we can feel it and see it. Listening to Serge Benhayon is like getting a constant stream of Eureka moments – when everything just slots into place and the jigsaw of life gets that one step closer to being complete.

    1. Agreed Otto and the resistance comes from feeling the silliness of not having known it all along. Or, dare I say it, the resistance comes when we take responsibility that we have engineered the lack of awareness because then we don’t have to change anything. We do know as Serge Benhayon has always said, nothing he shares is beyond our own awareness if we choose to build an honest relationship with our bodies.

  116. I had my first walking therapy session two days ago and I loved it! there is so much joy to be felt not walking in issues/problems the future or the past. I feel so light and energised in this way of walking.

  117. I too, have just experienced a Walking Therapy Session with Serge Benhayon and it was remarkable how by following his simple instructions the walk of all of us took on a grace and ease that looked and felt so freeing, energising and natural. I am definitely determined to keep practicing until it is my norm, for it is my true natural norm that has got scrambled by life.

    1. “Until it is my norm.” I like this and agree. Most of us are living our abnormal…a choice that put enormous pressure and exhaustion onto the body. It’s constant fight against the flow of true river.

      1. So true, Otto, and The Walking Therapy as presented by Serge Benhayon must be one of, if not the most powerful tool I have come across to connect to, feel and move with ‘the flow of the true river’.

  118. I had the blessing last week to experience Walking Therapies with Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine. Serge has always shared the importance of how we walk .. we can either walk in ‘our stuff’ or walk a different ways that changes this and brings connection. And during this one session while walking I felt the profound changes that happened within the whole body from just changing a few tiny things in the way I was walking. So amazing yet so simple. Yet about another stunning healing modality Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine have shared with the all.

  119. We might think that we have to dance or do something special to be in the presence and total enjoyment of our own movement and flow but how lovely when a simple everyday movement like walking can do this for us.

  120. Yes walking therapy is simple, divine and a must for all, it is incredible. We do it all day every day, we adapt our posture through emotions, hurts and behaviours, so lets look at that gait, what the hips are up to and these shoulders, it is well worth us considering the the why and how of our walk and how it feels, does it support us?

  121. I notice the way I now walk my body is more upright, my chest is more open and my shoulders are more relaxed. But not only that, when I walk I feel more joyful, light and clear. I remember looking in the shop windows at my reflection a few years ago and I was able to distinctly see that my upper shoulder were hunched over. I tried to straighten myself but a few minutes later I was hunched over again. I tried to mentally walk in a way that was more supportive for the rest of my body but I found I quickly forget and resorted to an unnatural posture. But now, I don’t even have to think about my walk because I now naturally walk in a way that is so much more supportive to the rest of my body, it supports how I feel and the quality of my thoughts. It is so different to the way I walked in the past, as I now feel more free of burdens, ideals and beliefs, and walking my own walk feels amazing.

    1. I have found that in such a short space of time my posture now naturally drops down and corrects itself. During the walking therapy session the group was asked to do ‘Rush hour in the city’ walking and it felt so unnatural (yet very familiar) that we couldn’t fully go into that style of walking after having walked in the true manner prior.

  122. The quality of walk brings the quality of life; the quality of living brings the quality of walking through life.

  123. When we activate the intelligence of our body and surrender to that we will enter a cycle of healing all that is not lived in accordance with the intelligence we belong to.

  124. I know from experience that it is hard to continuously walk in anger, frustration, sadness or with depressive thoughts, like if the walk makes the space to free the mind from these indulging thoughts.

    1. And yet the way that most of us walk makes it almost impossible for us to not be consumed in negativity and that’s the point. When we walk or in fact when we do anything without really being there (as in connected to ourselves through our bodies) then this leaves a great gaping gap through which ingrained thought patterns pour. By walking or doing anything in connection with our bodies then we close the gap to pretty much nothing and so we are left alone to be our true untarnished selves. Walking therapies is a way of claiming ourselves back.

  125. When we understand life as our healer, or should we say our choices in life being either healing or harming, we discover the road to lasting health is through a way of living, that develops and deepens as we learn from and by those choices.

  126. Yes, by now the quality of my experience when walking changes substantially when I make the final small changes that are necessary like standing up a bit more straight.

  127. ‘There is one man who is presenting this as a fact and in doing so is changing the way many people see themselves and how they use life to their advantage by making use of everyday movements and tasks that we all have to do.That man is Serge Benhayon.’ So simple , but such an absolute revelation – the way we move speaks everything about the way we live our lives, and we can change our lives by the very way we move. With our Soul .. or without.

  128. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see…” This is great to consider, as we are obviously connected physically (head on shoulders), yet we move and walk in a disconnected way by virtue of the thoughts and distractions that seperate the head from the body. The Walking Therapy you describe sounds incredible, as a way to walk feeling you, and being aware feeling what’s going on around you through the connection with your body.

    1. It is that connection which is the antithesis of the distraction and resulting exhaustion.

  129. We do take a lot for granted, until it is no longer there, and then often we lament that we have lost our health, or our strength, or our ability to live a vital life. There is another way though, and through the Way of the Livingness the honouring of the body offers a new foundation for life.

    1. indeed heather, we do take a lot for granted and too live with the idea that we can create whatever we want without considering the long term consequences of it. Until we are confronted with a loss or any other incident, we can come to our senses and connect with the truth of life and possibly choose for the Way of The livingness as our way forward.

    2. I agree Heather. It is also how we expect something to be there, like our health, when we have ignored our body and what it has asked (in that it needs to sleep, or not eat that food, or not drink that drink etc) over the years. It is quite arrogant.

  130. Taken things for granted is a numbness to dull our sense of responsibility, preciousness and interconnection, in short, to be self absorbed.

    1. Beautiful Adele, and indeed our body is very, very precious. When we connect to how amazing our body is and how it can express God’s love instantly and graciously without effort, we receive a blessing and an intelligence that is out of this word. We just have to surrender and let go of what is not supportive and allow our body do what it does best, shine God’s light through every part of our body.

  131. Every step that we take either confirms us as the divine beings that we are or reinforces an ill belief or ideal that we are not that.

    1. Yes, and with some practice we can easily move from one to the other.

  132. Thank you for writing about this Rachael. My Walking Therapy session with Serge Benhayon was an incredible experience. It showed me that every move we make has the potential to heal or harm. The session itself exposed the fact that I already knew this.

    1. True Leonne, “every move we make has the potential to heal or harm” – we can therefore literally walk ourselves into healing.

  133. Since attending my first walking therapies group I too love the fact that I can practice wherever I am and whenever I move. Can’t wait for the next one!

    1. The odd thing is Sue that even though I agree that we can practice walking consciously wherever we are, that for whatever reason there are certain places where I seem to forget that this is the case. The supermarket is one such place and so now, having really acknowledged this I am going to be more aware of how I walk when I’m shopping.

  134. Walking our true walk connects to the greater grander purpose of our lives and the walking therapies allow us to connect to this beautifully and powerfully and changes everything. Healing our body through how we live and walk through life is an essential part of our living way and the realisation of this is an amazing gift to treasure and share.

  135. Have you ever attempted to walk steadily, with connection for a whole day? If we’re able to send people to the moon, you’d think this would be a walk in the park – but it’s not. There is a part of us that whatever it takes, resists being aware. And so as you beautifully show Rachael, when we understand the power of what our walk does, we’d never take it for granted.

    1. So true Joseph, there is currently very little understanding in our society about the power of our walk. Have we considered that the way we walk could potentially mean we can choose to walk ourselves out of issues and dramas in life and walk with joy, or we can potentially walk ourselves into ill health by crushing our body, ourself esteem and the world?

  136. So much is being revealed to me every day during my walk to work – in my right hip, a tight left calf and recently my left foot. In the past I would have dismissed these aches and pains, but now I value them immensely as communications from my body about what I am still holding in my body that hinders my full expression and movement as a soul walking the earth.

  137. When I take stuff on and start to walk with it, it’s so important to clock it so I am aware of it. Once I am aware I can choose to take my next step in a true energy which then helps to clear the stuff.

  138. You mentioned about walking to our bed at the end of the day, and this really made me ponder on the quality of how I walk from the bathroom to my room! Especially before sleep I am usually looking on my phone as I walk, checking up on final messages, emails or social media from the day, and I realise that this must have quite a big impact on my sleep which can be unsettling and disturbed some nights.

  139. “Walking your Walk” – to pay attention to our walk, is to pay attention to people – because through our walk and its quality we are affecting them. Knowing that when we walk in anger, stress, tension for example, that they get the same as what we are affecting ourselves with, is one of the greatest forms of taking responsibility for our movements and thus the movements of all others.

  140. As we walk our walk, bringing who we innately are in every movement, we grace the ground we walk on and everyone around us… and we can all equally bring this quality to the world.

  141. The Walkig Therapies sound like they are profound and have an impact on our every move in our every moment. I look forward to experincing it in person soon.

  142. We have a choice with each step to move with the exquisite divine quality we can connect to inside, or to walk with protection, distraction or hardness. Having done all of the above, it now inspires me every day to feel how powerful and easy it is to walk with God.

  143. We definitely need to move away from this idea or model that healing or medicine is something you go and get in a consultation or session from a practitioner when things have gone wrong in the body/mind, or too far down the line and we are forced to seek relief or a remedy. Healing can occur in everyday life all the time and our way of life itself can be harming or healing. This totally redefines the meaning of the word healing.

  144. To consider walking itself as a form a medicine rather than just a way to get from A to B is a revolutionary and revelatory concept indeed! Imagine if everyone in the world walked to heal?..there would be a lot of healing going on!

    1. ‘Walking to heal, rather than just moving from A to B. Now there’s a concept, as you say Andrew, and another thing we can add to our self-heal toolkit that we can do for ourselves.

  145. We carry not only the weight of our bodies, but the weight of all of our events through life. They can certainly weigh us down and if so, is evident in everything about how we walk. If we are carrying hurts and they are still in our bodies, then it makes sense that we walk them too. I have found Walking Therapies truly amazing support. When I walk now I check in with my body in a whole new way and know very quickly when I am out.

  146. For most of my life I have been walking small, walking contracted, being a victim and walking in a lesser form of my true self. I have found this to be a coping strategy to deal with hardness of life and my hurts. Today, I was having a discussion with a friend about how this is a form of abuse on myself and others, and is equal in abuse to the one who is loud and aggressive. Whilst I can feel the truth of it… to deeply accept it needs a little time… its a totally different way of looking at abuse.

  147. We tend to look for solutions outside of our life rather than looking AT our life and the daily, moment by moment choices we are making. No one has ever made this so clear and so simple as Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine….. while writing this I can also see how we make things, or want to make things complicated instead of simple!!!! Crazy as it seems.

  148. If we are not walking our walk, as most people aren’t then whose walk are we walking? This is worth pondering on.

  149. “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” exactly its so simple and yet has been something I fought for many years, that the choices I make are healing or not. The way I live either supports me or it harms me

  150. Oh wow, everything Serge Benhayon delivers is absolutely mind blowing there is a never ending well to his wisdom, I super can’t wait for a walking session with Serge.

  151. So much has been shared by Serge Benhayon that has brought about a shift in the way life can be approached and the walking therapies are no different, so what is it that brings us to a truer relationship with life? Could it be as simple as understanding our essence so we do not get distracted by the outside controlling influences that are at present driving humanity to distraction? Enter walking therapies along with many other ways of living that allow us to be focused on our divine essence and thus provide a foundation that is deepening our awareness of how to stay connected to divinity….

  152. This statement seems so obvious when you read it – “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” – but unfortunately it is not obvious to many. I know it was not truly obvious to me prior to coming across Universal Medicine. And if it is obvious to some, are they truly living it? Do we really look at the way we live, eat, breathe, walk, talk, relate, work etc… and how they truly affects us? And if we do and it is harming, could it not also be healing as you say? I will put my hat in the ring and say that it has been fascinating process for me to review how I live and make changes to live in a way that heals more than harms. And gosh the difference is quite grand.

  153. “Walking your Walk” – such responsibility, and is determined through walking the quality of who we are and what we are allowing others to receive from us as a result. What is it that they see/receive is down to what is it that we are being.

  154. The fact that our body has felt our every choice means it also has the wisdom of experience to change those choices.

  155. Walking who we truly are has the power to transform not only our own lives but those around us too.

  156. It’s such a refined way to look at lifestyle, that the qualities of our movement, including how we breathe, have a profound impact on our health and wellbeing. The end of your blog really changes how we see the body and our connection to it, as it’s a relationship not just with ourselves but with the universe as well.

  157. The link that Serge Benhayon presents between the way we move and the way that we are then impulsed to think, makes so much sense to me, and walking is something that I think we can easily take for granted and go into autopilot with, not really paying attention to our body or listening to how it truly wants to move from the inside out. I wonder how much of an impact this then has on our way of thinking and all-round wellbeing that we don’t yet fully appreciate…

  158. To be with more presence in the body offers the opportunity to bring a level of detail and quality to everything we do in life. I love how these simple examples show that we can all support ourselves without it taking hours or costing money – “Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.”

  159. Yes, I absolutely agree, Rachel. Recently I have been noticing a tightening in my left calf as I walk but also a loosening of my hips. My walk to and from work each day offers such an informative reflection of what is really going on in my body in terms of what I am still holding onto, but also as confirmation of the shifts and the letting go as well.

    1. Yes, it is amazing to feel the shifts as we walk and super supportive in feeling where we are at in life – what quality are we bringing to work and all that we do, and how have we been in our day?

  160. What you have said here is life changing
“The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.”
Yet we have been led to believe that we should rely on our minds, when actually it is the body we need to rely on as it is far more truthful than our minds can ever be.

    1. True Mary, and we also have that ‘mind set’ that seeing is believing, – when we actually only in fact see what we want to believe.

    2. There can be many filters, blinkers and pictures of how we want life to be, which create individual perceptions around life and taint what we see.

  161. Rachael, this is beautiful; ‘when we are actually connected to our body and not caught in the mind we can FEEL the level of connection that our bodies have with everything else in life.’ What a different way of walking. I observe and notice with myself and others that it is more common for us to have heads down, rushing – learning forwards to get there quicker etc and I know when I walk like this it feels awful on my body. It’s gorgeous to read about another way to walk that is healing rather than harming for the body.

  162. “life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically…” This statement brings a great perspective about the purpose of life… beautiful as it shows how the body in true movement has the potential to walk Heaven on earth.

  163. When cooking recipes we go to great lengths to ensure all the key ingredients are there. Yet when it comes to life we put in rubbish and expect to reap great results at the end. No amount of clever cheffing can turn this equation around. The key is make constituent parts of our day, loving and true.

  164. I haven’t done the walking therapies with Serge yet, but I know that when I focus on my body when I walk and stay present with myself everything feels so entirely different and I feel so much more at ease. We have so much power through the way we walk.

  165. With walking therapies we do not have to spend extra time committing to it as we are walking from A to B through out our day and we can bring focus to the quality of our walk each time. And with each walk we can deepen and expand.

  166. Many of us take supplements and medications if we have an ailment. We also need to look at the choices we are making to support what we are taking. The way we live day to day is also good medicine.

  167. ‘The Walking Therapies have taught me much about my movement and the beauty of this is that I can practise it ALL THE TIME! Just as we breathe, eat, go to work, communicate in relationships’ True Rachel , the Walking Therapies are incredibly transformational.

  168. Universal Medicine offers so much to our bodies and as part of a natural progress that will support our true healing, is to walk in a way that will support the true being that we can connect to. When connected to our essence and walking ‘our,’ or the energy we are in, or ‘was in’ can no longer configure us in a way that it used to. So walking in a different energy as in the Universal Medicine Walking Therapies, as presented by Serge Benhayon, has been a revelation for those who partake with a true openness to our essence. So thank you Rachael, as you have shared, so much is available when we express and “deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically,” so walking brings a physical application with an energetic out-play for our body.

  169. You can tell so much about how people feel by the way they walk, position and use their body. The other day I drove past someone who was carrying a backpack and his entire body communicated that he was carrying the weight of the whole world on his shoulders and this was also evident from the expressions on his face.

  170. Walking our walk, without the need to apologise, defend, protect or any of the other things we choose to walk in and simply letting ourselves walk in the glory that we are, is the most delicious thing for the body.

  171. ‘The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see’ .Just a simple focus change from thinking to feeling can make the world of difference.

  172. I have found tremendous freedom and and great sense of empowerment from opening myself up to the possibility that the way I live my life could be greatest healing of all.

  173. “everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” The knowing and power that comes from the walking therapy is incredible and an amazing gift for us all.

  174. To bring healing and attention into the way we walk is pure gold given that we are doing it all the time. The NHS recommends we try and do around 10,000 steps every day for our health, but what is not considered is the quality of those steps. Do they compound a way of living, hammering our knees and spine and reinforcing an abusive way? Or do we use them as an opportunity to reconnect… even when it is just getting up to go to the toilet, walk to the car, walking round Sainsbury?

    1. Walking around Sainsbury (or the Australian equivalent of Woolies) is the sassiest thing when you walk you.

    1. I just recently did my first session kevmchardy, you have one of the most ground breakingly powerful modalities coming your way, because it is totally accessible for people and delivered in such a way that transforms the walk and realigns the body.

  175. “everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body…” This is true, and walking is I feel the greatest physical and simplest way to reconnecting straight to our body, which then takes you in to the Divine qualities within.

  176. Your proposal that we heal ourselves is worth consideration. Medicine is without question an essential part of all our lives. But what if there is more to healing than medicine. What if along side medicine we were a participant in our own healing simply by how we live. Then we are empowering ourselves to be part of the pathway to healing.

    1. Being our own living medicine would have quite an impact on the world – not to mention the drug, medical, and food industries (just to mention a few!).

  177. ‘everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body’ – It is well and truly time we start to acknoledge the significant role our body plays in our life. It is our bodies that can offer us the truth of what is really going on in and around us.

  178. Having not been walking for a week or so, well going for a walk, I went this morning and re-connected to the walk that I felt during my Universal Medicine Walking Therapies and my whole body lit up again. It was a great reminder to walk my walk every moment.

  179. I agree Rachael, for every behaviour or movement made in disconnection to our body there has to be a counter movement, hence the way in which we live in every moment, either supports or harms the body.

  180. This is an important point here, Rachel – “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” Why would we refer only to the mind when there is so much more going on, and a richness in everyday life to be felt by the grand wisdom of the body?

  181. “These are everyday life activities, many of which we take for granted…” When we become aware of the quality of our innermost, and see that this comes with us in whatever we do, there’s no way that the everyday activities become mundane, boring and neither does whatever we do get taken for granted.

  182. This walking therapy is one of the most powerful healing therapies ever. Fact.

  183. It is so true how we take the body for granted Racheal. We don’t appreciate all the messages it gives us and often ignore them. I am learning that the way we move the body can be wonderfully healing by focusing on walking in the fullness of who we are.

    1. I am starting to notice the denseness in many people’s bodies and how this translates into their walk. With every step we take with denseness it confirms this energy but when we choose to walk with joy, we then confirm ourselves and the world with joy.

  184. It is amazing how our bodies can reconfigure themselves when we walk our true walk… our body innately knows what is true and what isn’t.

  185. Our bodies have so much wisdom to share with us if only we stop, listen and honour their messages.

  186. Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body. A lot of people are not aware of this, that through our everyday activities, we can transform our lives, that is when we are connected with and move with our bodies ( and not from our heads), so much can be healed.

    1. And I love the way Serge brings it back to the most ordinary and simple things in life. This is where the coal face is as we are eating, sleeping, walking, in relationship etc all the time, so the impact of that is massive on our daily lives…. and therefore everyone around us.

  187. Rachael, I love this; ‘Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body’. it shows how we can heal ourselves and not be reliant on others to heal us.

  188. I have recently become been very aware of how I have walked through life and how my walk changes in response to how I feel. This awareness was upped in a huge way a few weeks ago when I attended a Walking Therapies group with Serge Benhayon. His presentation and the support he gave me put all the pieces of my walking puzzle together, making total sense as to how I have been walking in this life, and why. As a result, my walk has changed and with it I can feel my life changing too, step by beautiful step.

  189. I know I’ve certainly taken my body for granted in the past! And am by no means perfect in how consistently I listen to it now but can say that I have a much more aware, caring and appreciative relationship with it now, very much inspired by Serge Benhayon and how he has helped me to value the worth of that awareness and nurture it in my daily life.

  190. The truth couldn’t be simpler – the quality of our life is in the way that we live – to the very last detail. I haven’t seen anyone disprove this yet but have witnessed plenty try to obscure the facts they don’t want to face. Thank you for sharing Rachael.

  191. I really like your point that we can tell a lot about ourselves and about other people just from how they walk, talk, sit etc. Posture is a science of it’s own, because we never just ‘slouch’ but choose to hold our bones and muscles tense in particular configurations/postures.

    1. We can try and use words but our movement and our walk speak much louder than anything we can say.

  192. “…the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self” is key if we are to have true healing and live a healthy vital life.

  193. What if we could change our lives, and our relationships, by changing how we move? We know that what we eat affects our bodies, so it makes sense to consider that how we move does, too: are we cementing old patterns like contracting and being small, or moving in a way where we don’t hold back who we are, and claiming and enjoying the space?

    1. Great question Bryony – ‘What if we could change our lives, and our relationships, by changing how we move?’ It goes to show how powerful we are and that change would be inevitable if we were all to take more responsibility for the way we move through life.

    2. Great point Bryony, it is easy to spot the obvious things that hurt our body, like junk food or alcohol. When we share that the way we move can also have the same effect depending on the quality we move in, I think a lot of people may struggle with this because it is not yet recognised by everyone. To me it makes total sense what you have shared here.

  194. The amazing miracle of the walking therapy and how this effects the earth is deeply beautiful to feel and very powerful ” a group of people walking, but walking in a way that was full of whole body presence and a purpose of expressing who we are in each and every stride.” this is the way of the future for humanity thanks to Serge Benhayon who is a man who walks from heaven on earth and is the most amazing inspiration there is.

  195. Walking our own true walk is everything as when we walk to someone else’s tune we are simply giving ourselves away.

  196. Rachael, since reading this article previously I have been much more aware of how I and others move and what we are communicating by our movements; ‘We can tell by watching someone walking down the street whether they are well in themselves, healthy, confident, shy, and insecure or being himself or herself.’ This has bought a greater appreciation of just how sensitive we are and how we can read what is going on for each other.

  197. Life itself as a healer – an ancient knowing, but in our modern day and age sadly ignored and dismissed.

  198. It is life changing when we stop the searching outside of ourselves for answers, as space opens up for us to reconnect with the wisdom we carry within – we know so much more than we think, and we are so much grander than our hurts.

  199. ‘then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ Makes a lot of sense, and thus it is very wise to remain open and accept all life presents as a way of learning our lessons and moving on…and when life feels challenging, not to forget to ask for support.

  200. Yes, it does make complete sense that if we create illness and disease by the way we live, then we can surely make choices to heal the ills, simply by living with greater love and respect for the body which brings more harmony to our physiology.

  201. Just noticing what happens when our breath changes in everyday situations can be a great guide to come back to that naturally gentle quality where we are not reacting to life.

  202. I find as a person who can have a lot of mental chatter, being ‘mindful’ just exacerbates it, where as things like walking or the gentle breath meditation bring me back to my body and help focus my mind

  203. After attending Walking Therapies with Serge Benhayon I am now astutely aware of my walk and whether I am walking my walk or a conformed walk, suited to my environment.

  204. I am learning to walk my walk. For a very long time I have walked contracted, made myself small, with a lot of holding back. Today I am finding myself walking with more power and being more claimed with what I know and what I live. This is a very different way to live life and I much prefer it!

  205. Yes, it is quite incredible how much the body tolerates from us in terms of abuse, and how quickly it repairs itself and recovers. But there comes a point in time when it cannot contain the harshness, negativity and emotions we impose, and so illness and disease are always a healing process to clear the excesses of the way we live. Just this simple fact makes us all entirely responsible for our every word, thought and deed with regards to the impact on our health and wellbeing.

  206. Is it not interesting that we are not brought up with an awareness that everything is energy. It’s been scientifically proven yet we happily go around ignoring the fact. How we live is determined by the quality of energy that we choose, so what are we choosing then if the health statistics keep rising and we keep deteriorating?

  207. The key here is ‘what has been lived’- life has a purpose and if that is to show us that our movements can make a difference to ourselves and a way for others to see something, that is really cool. All we have to do is walk from connection to the body from what we have lived, and it flows.

  208. When we walk we are deepening our connection, that comes from connecting and appreciating that we are able to connect to our essence as we walk and then because we understand that we can be connected it naturally flows, which allows us to expand and have connect-ability more often.

  209. There is such a difference between walking YOUR walk and walking the walk you think fits in with your workplace or environment, the walk that might impress other women or men, the walk that says ‘confidence’, or gives you the ability to go unnoticed. Walking is a whole science in itself, and we don’t know what OUR walk feels like unless we try it, and let go of the need to look a certain way!

    1. Very true Susie W, walking from and in connection to the whole body is very different from walking from and in connection to the mind, the latter in contraction and is individual based as opposed to the expansion and all-encompassing, walking from the body emanates.

  210. We blame the body for not letting us live the self-restrictive life that we have chosen for ourselves.

  211. The walking therapies initiated by Serge Benhayon are so powerful. I had one the other day and my left side completely opened up. The thing was I had never noticed before then how much I was protecting my left side.

  212. Walking is so simple and to be allowed to be free of what our body has configured that holds us back from healing needs to be shared, so thank you Rachael.

  213. I love the question here Rachael, if the way we live has the power to cause many ills, could the way we live have the power to heal?

  214. Until I attended Universal Medicine presentations and workshops I was totally ignorant to the impact movement had on people and the world around me -I thought it was more what I said (or not) that was the impact… but our movements, and most importantly the quality of those movements, have a profound effect everywhere we go and in everything we do.

  215. We can use life to support our own wellbeing, “by making use of everyday movements and tasks that we all have to do” – getting to know a flow in those tasks rather than the hard push that happens when we’re not aware that quality movement is key.

  216. So inspired by everything the body tells me and to remain observant to them and not need it to be different but choosing what allows me to feel more true to myself.

  217. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see”. . . This is a very important point to always come back to. The more connected we are to our body, the more we feel and can read and understand ourselves and those around us.

    1. I agree – with true awareness and presence in our body we are well equipped to read any situation.

  218. It is so empowering to know that the way we move can heal us. So these everyday activities are so important, simply by talking and walking, we can shift so much from our bodies. We know this, I can feel how light I feel after a walk, but I can underestimate the power that everything in life is an opportunity to heal.

  219. We can tell everything about a person simply by observing the movement of their body. It’s very obvious yet often we choose to listen to the words instead and allow ourselves to be fooled. We can feel and sense how a person is from the way they walk and how they express. It’s all there for us to feel.

    1. Yes Rebecca, I have noted this too and yet a while ago and for a very long while I chose not to connect with what I was seeing. I wasn’t able to do this because I wasn’t connecting with myself first and foremost! Being more gentle and much less judgmental of myself I find that I can observe others now without judgment and simply clock where they are at, as I do so for myself.

      1. Very true Michelle. If we are connected to our own bodies it is then possible to observe so much more about ourselves and also others. Without this connection we are at the mercy of our eyes rather than the reliable sensing of our very wise bodies.

      2. The more I connect, the more of the ugly stuff comes up for healing – once upon a time I had an arrogance that said I was ‘better’ than others in the denial of everything that needed looking at – in that denial I was ok, right? and that it was everyone else who was out of line! It is not possible to work on your issues and hurts and not become humbled. In this humility it is impossible to judge others for the very same thing you are coming, or have come, out of.

      1. So true Michelle, one cannot walk one’s own walk without breathing one’s own breath.

    1. Elaine, that is so true – the fastest way for the body to recover from any illness is to deeply care for ourselves and make the body know it is looked after.

  220. Our body is the marker of how we live and ultimately this all catches up with us. It is so amazing to have these walking therapies to walk who we are in our fullness, with our walk becoming our healing way again. The freedom and joy felt in letting go of all we hold is very beautiful and powerful.

  221. The way we walk, our gait…shows how we are walking through life and is the revealer of the quality of life we have lived too; what our foundation is. Hence changing our walk can literally change our whole life.

  222. We actually mould as we grow old, I’ve observed it quite a lot when walking on the street. When you see children walking, they seem quite weightless, free and ready to run around. However, as we grow older, we begin to tighten our shoulders, our hips, brace ourselves and build layers of protection. These change our posture and therefore our walk and because of these we may have to revert our walk back to our original way.

  223. “…if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” – it does indeed, it’s hard to deny that how we live our life has an impact on our health and wellbeing. It may be confronting to consider our not so wise choices but if we let go of pride or any self-judgement then it can open up the opportunity to continually learn and understand more about what is truly healthy and harmonious.

  224. Bringing focus to my walk and how fluid and natural it feels, instantly brings me back to feeling ‘the real me’ again. Otherwise we can be walking in a way that tells the body to be quiet, that our thoughts and worries are more important. This way of walking not only doesn’t feel lovely, it accumulates physical wear and tear just as car would that is driven recklessly.

  225. Whenever I have lost my true self, I find I have lost my true movements first. Hence by re-establishing the true quality of my movements restores the state of being my true self.

  226. I noticed yesterday how after I had renounced a massive old pattern of mine, the way I walked and felt within myself completely changed, feeling far freer and grander!

  227. Indeed the body receives and holds the energetic consequences of all our choices and movements. Rather than treating it like a dumping ground for our loveless choices, what if we were to lovingly care for it as the beholder of truth, stillness and harmony?

  228. “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” It is interesting to look at it from this perspective, it really does serve us to look at the big picture in life and the roots of our issues, rather than try and fight fire and find solutions…life in itself is a healer – Amazing.

  229. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” Therefore it seems logical to build that relationship with the body, the source of the feeling, not the translator of the bodies messages.

  230. ‘if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ – The way we choose to live our lives, and truly accept the consequences of those choices, is in my experience the most powerful medicine there is.

  231. This blog reminds me of the magic that is there in the simplest of things we do everyday.

  232. It’s so true we often don’t value things until we lose them, including our own body and our health and wellbeing. What I appreciate about the Walking Therapies and other modalities Serge offers is they are inclusive of the being, this is not just about the function of the physical body and enhancing that, but about the true wellness we can experience when there is a union of our being and body together in harmony, and expressed in our every movement.

  233. I find my walk has become over the last few years one of the most important steadying and re-balancing things I do in my day. If I get lost on the computer or caught in my work or outer stressors, just a few steps in my walk and I am coming back to me. I feel my spine lengthen, my chest open and my breath deepen. I get the feeling of ‘Ah, I am back’. I can’t imagine what my health or wellbeing would be like without knowing my walk.

  234. If our movements in life can make us unwell then it makes sense that our movements can make us well again and it is our bodies that do the moving and tell the real story as to the quality of our movements.

  235. Living a lie about death, walking and many other aspects of life becomes obvious “when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we” did not have ‘completion’ with it / them so we can evolve. We find solace in the fact that we can live in ignorance to the way we truly move forward and walking without any preconceived ideals is a glaring example of how we have not allowing our body to tell us the true way we should move. So thank you Rachael and Serge Benhayon for allowing us the space to express about what true walking is all about.

  236. Understanding that life or the way we are living is the healer is very humbling; the simplicity and plain truth cannot be argued, the responsibility not denied – it takes us straight back to ourselves.

  237. ‘It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.’ – My body was always speaking loud and clear but it was not until I came across Serge Benhayon that I realised that I actually had to listen to and honour what my body was communicating.

  238. “It was basic and simple: a group of people walking, but walking in a way that was full of whole body presence and a purpose of expressing who we are in each and every stride.” a beautiful sharing Rachael, so simple to be fully present with our bodies and express ourselves with each step, every day affords us this opportunity for healing so that we can reflect our divine origins.

  239. When I had my first walking session with Serge Benhayon and had the chance to walk with several people in pairs side by side I realized that there is no better way to get to know a person in an instance – how they feel, behave, walk through their day and approach life. it is all in our walk.

    1. Everything about each other is permanently on show through our movements so what then does it say about us that we can say that we have been fooled or tricked or even surprised by another person’s behaviour?

  240. Our body is our best friend and our guiding light at it is up to us the listen to it and move in a way that supports us to live in this world. The way we walk can change everything and this is an awareness that is brought to us lovingly by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine bringing true health and healing.

  241. We walk around so much, and for that matter talk and move heaps too but do we ever clearly know the quality in what we do? How did you walk before reading this very comment? Can you even recall? These ‘simple tasks’ aren’t cause to live on auto pilot but go deeper and consider life. Thank you Rachael.

  242. Spot on … “Us humans take a lot for granted…” walking is a great example of this, because it’s not until you may have an ailment, be bed ridden, an injury, unable to walk at all, or in pain, that you realise that you have only used walking as a mere function, to get from A to B, and so have missed out on the extraordinary vast volume of observation, awareness, connection and love communicated to you through the activity of walking and movement of the body.

  243. The being inside the human being does take the body so much fro granted, dismissing and overriding it’s constant communication and innate wisdom.

  244. ..’he does human very well.’ this is so true! He shows me it’s possible to live in this world being more than human and being human to our fullest. I can’t say it’s impossible to live honouring our multidimensionality and be human in all our facets, so can’t give up on committing to this life in all areas.

  245. The most powerfully healing movements available to everyone equally, is how we walk and how we breathe. There are no costs to being with our bodies in these movements, and there is so much awareness and healing to be experienced.

    1. Movement as a way to return to union with our soul throws the current ideas of enlightenment out the window. There is no need for social isolation, chanting, hours of meditation, celibacy, knowledge, etc, just s reconnection to the soul and moving with its energy to express who we truly are.

  246. These are such beautiful and uplifting words Rachael. I love the way you write. This line stands out for me today: “…when we are actually connected to our body and not caught in the mind we can FEEL the level of connection that our bodies have with everything else in life.” I have had moments of feeling this and there is nothing more exquisite than feeling yourself fully immersed in the flow of life and the greater cycles we are moved by and move within. The key now is for me to not impede this flow by way of the stubborn resistance I call upon to be a ‘self’ so that I can surrender more fully into this – our true way of being, breathing and walking.

  247. No right and wrong in our choices but every choice we respect and accept, every message of the body we appreciate and honor. This is a beautiful relationship.

  248. ‘The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.’ – And yet the body never holds this against us, on the contrary it constantly sends us honest and loving signals for us to adjust the way we live if we are out of sync.

  249. The day we stop taking things for granted is the day we begin to build appreciation – and from this opens up appreciation about ourselves, not the things that we do, but the quality that we hold. From here it is how we bring this into our every day and let it loose! Woohoo!

  250. Our life does get affected by disease, but how many of us link this to the way we walk in life? I don’t mean the literal walk, although this does matter too – I mean a broader walk in terms of how we live life. And here again, though food and exercise are important in terms of caring for the body, I don’t mean that as a way of life…I mean how we move and the quality in which we hold ourselves in life and this is such a subtle yet important detail! I am constantly working on my quality in those moments when I remember – when I am not distracted by everything happening around me! And this quality starts with simply giving myself permission to be gentle. Even as I type this comment, I am thinking if my quality is gentle and how much of this quality will be felt by the person reading this blog comment….crazy to think how much we can affect people around us without even realsing it! But how powerful this can be too!

  251. What amazes me is just how easy it is to completely transform my emotional state of being by taking a short walk in the woods (or anywhere for that matter). It’s as if by staying in the same spot when I am feeling out, is actually allowing a yucky energy to enter my body, and when I start walking it then clears this emotional energy and makes way for a different awareness and clarity to come to me.

    1. Me too Michael – walking would be my number one choice to release emotional energy.

  252. “‘life’ could also be the healer?…” This part of the whole sentence grabbed my attention, because often when out in public, I notice these days many people are often looking down at their mobile phone, or listening to music and paying less attention to the world and other people around them, when it is the interactivity with nature and people, where we do receive communication and insights which raises awareness. And it is this ‘awareness’ that brings healing.

  253. This is so true Rachael… “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” Our bodies are constant barometers letting us know everything that is going on around us and within us.

  254. Rachael, I love this, it makes absolute sense; ‘The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ What this means is that we can heal ourselves and do not need to find gurus and ‘experts’, as we are in fact the experts of our own body and can thus heal ourselves by how we move and live – very simple and hugely empowering, thank you.

  255. All our daily activities offer us an opportunity to support us e.g.our body or not, even to the most for granted taken activities like walking. Do I walk in full presence or checked out? Two different walks in quality, just a choice away. I have experienced that every moment I can stop and feel my movements. Then just by small adjustments, as you write, it can be such a different walk…

  256. Living in a way that keeps us connected to our divine essence starts with many things, as you have shared Rachael, and keeping the connection is definitely made simpler by the way we can bring a simple focus to how we walk.

  257. We know that lifestyle choices have an impact on our health, and Serge Benhayon is refining this to levels we may take for granted or dismiss. Diet and exercise choices are well known areas that have an effect on our health and wellbeing, but we may not realise the impact our every movement has including the way we walk.

  258. Healing is on offer for all we have lived in the past. The Universal Medicine courses and workshops have offered me immense healing over the last 15 years, and so I know without a doubt now what true healing is.

    1. Absolutely Heather, the understanding of true healing by experiencing it in our own bodies cannot be denied.

    1. Very true Eduardo and it is important that we never forget this. It is a constant reminder of the way I am with myself and gives me reminders to come back to myself. And these reminders get bigger and bigger when I do not listen to them – it is like it is saying to me well eventually James will get it I just need to make it a bit more obvious until he says that he is out of order so then makes a shift to come back.

  259. Absolutely beautiful Rachel what a gift for us all through Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon in how we walk and heal how much this effects us and can change everything. “It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.” And our movements are everything and this is only now begining to be be realised again.

  260. We do take so much for granted, especially our health. And when the body stops working so well, we don’t want to see that we have caused this. But when we know we can heal ourselves by our movements, as we breathe, eat and communicate, the choice becomes ours to feel this truth and change our movements.

  261. Walking with awareness, with presence in the moment, delight the foot not the ground, the roll of the hip, there is a lot that can be felt and observed when we make the space to truly feel and see how we move and why.

  262. Have we ever been told before Serge Benhayon was around, that life is about healing and that walking is one of the most powerful healing modalities for us to heal? I cannot remember anybody has told me that ever before while it just was always there.

    1. I certainly was not Nico, I have always loved walking and knew how going for long walks in the fields and woods was something I relished, but had not really put together that the way I walk affects my thoughts and how I am. And when I first heard this, I thought it’s too simple, surely it can’t be, but it is true. The walk we walk and how we move affects the quality of our being.

      1. Although we invent more ways to move ourselves through life without walking, cars, elevators, bicycles, trains, working at home via the internet and so on, our most important and basic way to move ourselves through life is by walking and thus a continuous opportunity to heal ourselves. And when ignorant to healing, we ingrain by walking the patterns we have chosen life to be instead.

      2. So very well said. I find when I am not walking but still moving on say public transport it is a great time to sit back and observe how I am and have been and also to observe others around me rather than just staying in my own little bubble.

  263. For many people I know, it is hard to accept their own responsibility in any illness or disease and are supported in this behaviour by all kind of scientific explanations that they then accept as the answers they have to live with.

    1. We will readily accept anything that means that we don’t need to take responsibility for what’s happened, be that an illness, an injury, a fight with our partner, our kids behaviour, a workplace disagreement, you name it, we’re just not willing to consider our part in it because God forbid it might actually mean that we have to change how we’re currently living and we seem hellbent on continuing with our disease-ridden ways regardless of how ugly it’s become.

  264. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most” so true Rachael, in this world where illness and disease rates are on the up we so need to look at why we avoid actually listening and simply being respectful of the body.

  265. Knowing the wisdom of the body and it’s never ceasing efforts to return to a divine harmony, it is no wonder that we go out of our way to dull it down, ignore it and even harm it. It is the spirits way of delaying the return to our soul.

  266. We have far more awareness than we are willing to admit, because we know it comes with responsibility.

  267. “We may not realise or have the awareness in our everyday life, but we DO know the importance and we DO take notice of these aspects – even if it is on a subconscious level.” So true Rachael. There is so much at play on so many levels that is a constant, whether we choose to be aware of it or not.

  268. Serge Benhayon has introduced the truth of walking our walk, which means that we walk free of the imposts that we have carried for a long time.

  269. Rachael, I love how you claim that life is a healer and how we can change our movements so simply by being present in the body when we walk. The ceaseless head chatter actually can cease and the flow through the body can be felt.

  270. Rachael, this feels very true; ‘Us humans take a lot for granted.’ Reading this makes me realise how we take each other for granted – our family, friends and colleagues. How it is usual to not express appreciation to each other and rather find fault and criticise.

  271. So simple but so powerful—how we walk. It is inspiring to live again the simplicities of life, the trust with the body, I am re-learning this and it is the deepest security ever felt.

  272. Our movements are reflecting a certain quality every moment, and when connected to the energy that is moving through the body we can feel what we have aligned to. Feeling our essence in the flow of a walk is enlivening.

    1. beautiful Victoria: “Our movements are reflecting a certain quality every moment, and when connected to the energy that is moving through the body we can feel what we have aligned to” And yet I know the many hours I have spent in trying to figure out where I was at or what was going on, when all this time the simplicity of the communication of the body through it’s lived quality was there to show me.

  273. Walking is a large part of our lives, and hence presents a constant opportunity to be used in a way that brings us healing in every moment!

  274. What I love about walking is that it is so simple – and when done with conscious presence is very energising, as it offers space to cease the dominating head talk and allow the body to offer harmony and flow to the whole.

  275. ‘It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.’ Very true Rachel, and we haven’t really wanted to.

  276. There is also walking your talk, as I discovered recently where I was being laughed at because I was behaving in a way that was not in line with the current way of life, the other person was embarrassed and they felt very uncomfortable. That’s okay, I held my line because I know what works for me and if people want to laugh I’m not bothered. What would have bothered me was if I had given in and conformed to what society expects.

  277. As the state of our well-being is a result of our way of living it then follows that the way we live can also be our medicine.

  278. “….. some blame the body for its lack of acceptance of one’s chosen lifestyle and they continue to do what they’ve always done …….” What a common arrogance.

  279. We do take so much for granted and only deal with stuff when they get to a crisis point, but the reality is we do not get away with anything because everything is registered. The body can only take so much abuse before it has to cleanse itself with an illness such as a cold or the flu, or something more serious.

  280. We are constantly moving and determining the quality of what comes next in doing so – we have the choice of the experience of life we have in the choice of the quality of our movements

  281. Bringing focus to how we walk means that our body can communicate with us. After some time it needs no further invitation and will answer without being asked.

  282. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.” This is so true. How often have we put something or someone else first, at the expense of neglecting or negating our own body and its needs? Something most of us would do well to ask ourselves, and possibly consider changing a few habits of a lifetime!

  283. If we were to connect with our preciousness and not take our body for granted we would tend to it the same way we tend to a new born baby.

  284. If everything is everything and if “everything in life is an opportunity to heal” what more needs to be said? Except thank you ‘God’ for “Serge Benhayon”!!! So lets allow the opportunities to evolve us and heal everything.

  285. I do not always treat my body in all the care it deserves. But I appreciate every movement made with it to learn deeper, to experience surrender and to know authority.

  286. You’ve raised a great point that even walking around our house, backwards and forwards, from the office to the kitchen, to the bathroom and so forth, is probably a time when we are not really paying attention to our movements or how our walk is, e.g. stressed, angry, frustrated, sad, contracted, but actually these moments are a crucial part of our day and can make a huge difference.

  287. It is not, has never been and never will be mind over body. It is always body over mind by the sheer fact that the quality of the body is what determines the quality of the mind. No matter how much we try and isolate the mind, use it to override the body…the body will always have the last word…it is just that we do not much like the language that it speaks as it speaks of responisbility.

    1. True Carolien, the body has a language that informs us of every little detail that is in or out of alignment with what truly supports us. When we tune into the voice of the body it is impossible to ignore. What a loving responsibility it offers us.

  288. One of the most profound realisations I had though the teachings of Universal Medicine, is that my body is not my enemy that needs to be suppressed, to be made subordinate to my wishes and wants, to be ignored and overridden, nor does it need to be conquered. Instead it is my greatest ally, my trusted friend, my best advisor and always, always there for me to show me what is my best choice, my next step, what is love, what is openness and transparency.

  289. Living life is staying with our bodies in our everyday activities, what a great opportunity for deepening our connection the Walking therapies offers us. Another beautiful offering from heaven brought to us by Serge.

  290. Indeed what if the quality in which we live our lives could be the greatest medicine we have in life?

  291. I love the feeling of life being an instrument – something for us to learn and continually deepen with that requires our practice and focus if we are to master it.

  292. I love what you have offered her Rachael – the fact that we can make changes in our lives every moment; that we don’t have to wait until next week to start our new leaf, diet, exercise program, housekeeping rota – that in the way we breathe, move, walk, talk, touch… we can make incremental changes that build and build until we have a really steady, sustainable relationship with ourselves and life.

  293. Serge Benhayon offers pure inspiration through all off the modalities he has delivered and in every way he lives in his own life.

  294. I have recently attended Serge’s Walking Therapies. It has shown me and the others in the group a new way we can move with a connection to ourselves with every step we take.

  295. This blog makes me understand and appreciate how many foot problems, pains and issues can occur if one is walking in contraction from who they innately are.

    1. Our physical and energetic alignment alters our posture and yes it makes sense that this can affect the whole of our structure, feet, knees hips and back and all of movement.

    2. I know from experience that walking in contraction, not committing to life and thus holding back who we truly are, can also seriously affect the kidneys.

  296. The evenings when my daughter and I go for a walk in nature before we prepare supper, feels completely different to the days where she has an activity after school and doesn’t have the same wind down time.

  297. When we have re-connected to a level stillness in our body when we walk, talk, work, eat, drive, get emotional, etc. these are all felt as something that is holding us in a deepening level of true-still-ness, or taking us away from a divine level of connection.

    1. So true – and in this there lies the opportunity to constantly be more of who we truly are.

      1. So true Michael, deepening our connection comes from connecting and appreciating that we are able to connect to that essence and then because we understand that we can be connected it naturally flows, which allows us to expand and have connect-ability more often.

  298. I agree – it could be a very different approach to how we would respond to illness and disease, as to not seeing it as the enemy that we need to fight, but on the contrary, that it is a loving message from the body that something is disharmonious and needs to change.

  299. I love coming back to this article and the reminder of how incredibly powerful the way we walk is. I know this, yet I am also very aware that I more often than not, am not walking with me. There is a constant pull for me to let go, surrender and look at what is getting in the way. It’s not about perfection, rather a commitment to evolving and moving forward, with me.

  300. What I love about everything Serge Benhayon presents is that it supports us to bring our divine essence into everyday life and into every movement.

  301. Everyday activities hold so much Joy and Wisdom if we know how to appreciate what is right in front of us. Walking Therapies definitely deepened my appreciation of walking.

    1. A great reminder Toni – appreciation is the antidote to taking things for granted.

  302. The keys to life is the relationship…”…between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.”
    Beautifully said Rachael.

  303. ‘some blame the body for its lack of acceptance of one’s chosen lifestyle and they continue to do what they’ve always done’ – I know in the past I have been really annoyed if I got sick and it ‘interferred’ with the plans I had. How sick (pun intended) is that?

  304. It makes total and delicious sense that the most everyday activity can be this powerful gateway to healing; a typically and brilliantly simple reflection of the magic of our body.

  305. We live in a world that is riddled with lies and ideals and pretenses and pressures and corruption and deceit…it can be bewildering and incredibly challenging to see the truth among it all…And so, how do we navigate all of this? How do we know what to trust among all the white noise? For more the ten years I have been watching, observing, listening to and talking to Serge Benhayon. Never, ever, not even for one millisecond, have I ever felt anything other than absolute love, equality, transparency and commitment from him. There is not one cell in my body that does not trust this man and does not know that he is the real deal. He walks his talk and inspires me to know my majesty…and to thus walk it.

    1. What a great question embedded here? How do you know what to trust among all the white noise? Like you I watch, observe and feel and have learnt how to be discerning. Serge Benhayon has walked the same level of transparency and integrity for years now and the love he lives is truly inspirational. Walking is such a simple way to build our relationship with our own bodies, but also, having watched Serge walk so consistently over the years, it clearly shows others it is safe to walk in the fullness of the love we were born from as well.

  306. I agree, it is obvious yet we do not want to know that the way in which we move in our livingness has an impact on our wellbeing. We resist and avoid who we are and the love that is there to deeply care and nurture ourselves. It is a game we play, a set up and we know we are playing it!

  307. These days when I take the time to re-park my car at lunch time, I make sure my focus is on my body in some simple way, such as feeling the soles of my feet as I walk, or the sway in my hips. It is often here that I get to clock how much I have been in my head all day, as I can find it either difficult to stay and feel the body walking, or feel a joy in the movement.

  308. Us humans do take a lot for granted, way too much. And when this happens we disconnect from all the marvelous and amazing deeper parts of ourselves that allow us always to be in awe of life and what it truly has on offer. This is a fantastic blog to remind me of the simplicity of walking and how magical this can be! Now I just need to be putting this into practice more! 🙂

    1. You have just helped me realise that not only is taking things for granted allowing levels of disregard and lack of care to perpetuate, but also thwarting our relationship with the awe and wonder of life, which to me is the magic of God.

  309. Why is it that often it is not until something has been taken away that we appreciate it, often we take things for granted and then afterwards we wonder why we did not take more advantage or embrace the experience in full. If we bring all of us to every-one and everything we do we this will not happen.

  310. Some take dis-ease as a wake-up call but, in the general population there is research that shows that people on average do not change their behaviour when they receive this wake-up call. Some improve but others get worse.

  311. ‘…everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.’ and we simply don’t appreciate this enough. We are given the perfect set up to learn how to return to a way of living which is truly joyful and fulfilling, if we but choose it.

  312. Rachael, I will take this in my day today with me – remembering that every movement is an oppurtunity to heal and evolve; ‘Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.’

    1. It seems there are so many gifts like walking, all of our movements in fact, how we breath, that are there for us to use as opportunities to deepen our connection with ourselves. Yet, for most of my life I’ve been completely unaware of the gift that is there for the taking.

      1. I never used to like walking, then in the 90s I broke my leg badly and it took me a couple of years until I could fully walk again and even then needed more surgery for a while. After that I really appreciated being able to walk. Since meeting Serge Benhayon and discovering the immense healing (or harming) potential of our walks, my walk and my enjoyment of my walk has gone to a whole other level – hence my comment – I LOVE walking!

  313. It sounds simple but being in the full presence of our body and our walk feels so powerful, I would love to try it.

  314. I love how you share …”life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically…. ” as it highlights just how walking offers a connection with our body, and the body is the link to our Soul.

  315. ‘There is one man who is presenting this as a fact and in doing so is changing the way many people see themselves and how they use life to their advantage by making use of everyday movements and tasks that we all have to do.’ – I know how I now appreciate my body and the innate wisdom it is constantly sharing with me, so much more than I ever have before in this life, yet I also know that I am just scratching the surface. The more I appreciate myself, the more I realise how much more there is to appreciate in myself and everyone else. This is just the beginning.

  316. Walking is quite an ordinary, everyday thing we do. Yet it has the potential to be the most extraordinary, magnificent thing.

  317. The absolute importance of how we walk and the presence we are in makes so much difference to our lives, our health and how we perceive things to be. The walking therapy offered by Serge Benhayon is a beautiful thing to experience and to re imprint our walk and body is transformational.

  318. This is a great presentation on what the movement of the body means, and how we can either harm or heal through that movement.

  319. I agree, walking who we are, being aware of how we move and why, completely changes our experience of our body and of life, our movement makes such a difference and it is something that we could be more aware of in all of life.

  320. It is quite amazing how much we take for granted in our lives, only to stop to truly appreciate it when it is gone or too late. The more I appreciate myself, the more I appreciate and value everything and everyone around me. I find it starts with appreciating and valuing myself and then I get to see how supported I truly am and have everything I could want and more.

  321. ‘We know when we are nervous, tense or stressed because the breath changes and gets fast and shallow.’ and when it does we have a choice to then bring back the true quality of breath which returns us to feeling centred and stress can dissipate.

  322. The cells in our bodies are changing all the time so it makes sense that our perceptions of the world might also change. Sometimes we hold on to old beliefs well beyond their sell by date and hold back our natural evolution. Great to have a stock take and allow ourselves to let go of worn out ideals and look at life anew.

  323. What if this was more widely known..”everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” This could transform us from rushing off the to doctors at the first sign of a sniffle, but start to look at how we move and live our lives.

  324. Not only can we feel our connection and disconnection to our innermost connection when we walk, it is interesting to notice our walk when we transition from room to room or task to task.

  325. ‘It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.’ – And even when we have, there is often a stubbornness in hanging on to the old way of living.

    1. Spot on Eva, this is correct! How stubborn can we be sometimes, and yet these things are the best for us to support us on every level! This shows that we are hurting and just need a little more time 😉

  326. Jane so true, we want our body to be fixed, without stopping to say what is our body saying to us, what have we been ignoring, for our body to go wrong?

  327. Everything in life is opportunity to heal, as is walking. We under estimate the power behind our movement, whether it is loving or unloving. Walking is a great way to bring us back to us, to our connection, to allow us to be present with ourselves.

    1. It sure is. I too find walking to be a tremendous support in bringing myself back to myself and clamining more of the real true loving being that I am, knowing that when I walk and move I am either with God or not – there is no inbetween.

    2. So true, Amita, we are either moving with the Universal flow or we are not. Given it is actually so much easier to be with the flow, the reality is, we have to work very hard at resisting this natural path that is there for us.

  328. To walk one’s true walk is to walk life truly bringing such power – that is the gift of The Walking Therapies by Serge Benhayon. Completely life-changing and totally transforming.

    1. Zofia I whole-heartedly agree with you, the transformation I’ve felt in my body was completely remarkable.

  329. I know absolutely that no one can actually do the healing for us, there is no healer that can bring true, consistent and lasting change to my body, it is most clear to me that it is living life that heals us through our own presence with ourselves “life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically.”

  330. ‘everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body’, this line for me sums up the entire blog, with walking being a great way to feel our bodies, as long as we do not get distracted by our heads and thoughts of what’s for dinner, or things still to do, etc!

  331. The more I read this the more amazing it feels: ‘What if they can only inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing what has been erroneously lived?’. The power really is with us in our choices and contrary to common opinion we are not without influence on our state of wellbeing, rather, conversely, we are entirely responsible for it.

  332. We tend to treat our bodies in a functional way rather than deeply appreciating it all – not only the physical but the inner beauty, harmony and grace that is innate within us all.

    1. So true, we don’t appreciate our body enough and yes most of us treat our bodies in a functional way only. There seems to be no level of understanding of the body and the power behind it. We don’t appreciate our use of our body to its true maximum.

  333. ‘We can tell by watching someone walking down the street whether they are well in themselves, healthy, confident, shy, and insecure or being himself or herself. ‘ There is so much in the way a person walks that communicates how they are with themselves, with the world and how they’re feeling in that moment. I went for a walk today and as the path became less sheltered a very cold wind blasted me and I commented to a couple something and we laughed. When I walked past them again later we shared another laugh. It was really lovely and possible because we had already communicated our openness in how we were walking. This openness to connection is something I treasure and can be wherever I am at.

  334. Reading about how we take the body for granted, and at times silence its communication with ‘medicative means’, I was struck with the reality of how abusive that is. Picture the best friend you could ever have, loving you so much with all of its might, keeping you alive 24/7, fixing up your ‘mistakes’ etc…and then when it wants to share the truth with you, you put a silencer on it and say ‘no deal’, don’t want to hear what you have to say thank you very much!

  335. In truth there is no ‘your’, as in there is no ‘us’, no ‘me’ or no ‘my’ and so what everything basically boils down to is whether we are consciously inhabiting our bodies and therefore ensuring that the consciousness of God can come through, or if we have gone AWOL, leaving our bodies to be used by an energetic source that is looking to disrupt and delay our return to knowing God in our bodies. My walk is not ‘my’ walk, I am either in step with God, or vacating my body to be used by an unseen number of energetic free loaders. Either way it’s not ‘me’ that is walking.

    1. A very powerful sharing Alexis, and a lot to ponder on. I am walking every step with God or am I walking with other unseen energetic forces? Mmmm, our awareness is priceless me thinks!

  336. We cannot walk our true walk if we are configured in an energy that stops this from happening. In this dis-configuration every step we take cements us in that same energy that becomes so familiar we do not know anything different to that. Which to me is why the Universal healing modalities and workshops are so life changing because we all have an opportunity to reconfigure the energy that we could say we are trapped in. I understand that the Universal Medicine walking therapies are yet another blessed modality to support humanity to deconstruct the energy that binds us and keeps us all locked away from the truth of who we truly are.

  337. “… some blame the body for its lack of acceptance of one’s chosen lifestyle and they continue to do what they’ve always done” I know I did prior to meeting Universal Medicine. I arrogantly assumed my body should be able to not only tolerate how I treated (the everything in moderation argument) but actually thrive. Now I know that when lovingly cared for and respected, my body sings with a health previously unimagined that brings a delicious quality to my walk.

  338. Yes, the walking therapies have increased my commitment to my body and to bringing a beautiful quality to my movements throughout the day. And from this deepening relationship I am learning more about the subtleties of energy in and around me.

    1. Though I’ve done a walking therapy this makes so much sense. I walk each day and can focus on noticing different aspects of my body – are my shoulders relaxed and moving or how are my hips feeling, are they freely moving or constricted. When I walk observing the flow that is there and letting go of self-impositions In this energy I can walk without getting tired which shows me how we move is about which quality we have chosen to move us.

  339. ‘Us humans take a lot for granted.’ Reading this opens the door wide open to appreciation. Very cool.

    1. Yes I agree, the more we can appreciate our body, and the power and beauty it brings, the deeper we go in our own healing journey to connect to our own truth.

  340. It is amazing that if we are open to it, we can be offered amazing healing just while we sleep and seemingly do nothing.

  341. Having been someone who was basically a walking head for many years, to be able to now focus on my feet as they touch the ground and feel them as I walk, to then be able to feel my whole body as I walk… has been exquisite and nothing short of transformational.

  342. I love that there are walking therapies, this feels like such a simple, healthy and empowering way to heal ourselves and to evolve.

  343. ‘Us humans take a lot for granted.’ – Indeed we do, in fact it is quite amazing the arrogance and lack of humbleness we have towards our bodies and how we treat ourselves.

    1. It’s actually amazing what the body does put up with, if we treated anyone else the way many of us treat our bodies, that person wouldn’t stick around long.

    2. We have to try pretty hard to ‘not see’ what we already know, it’s as though we are resisting the truth, perhaps to avoid taking responsibility for the way we are living, allowing us to continue to live irresponsibly – but at what cost. We can’t bury our heads in the sand for any longer, it’s time to face the music and to start to turn the tide on this planet from one of irresponsibility to one of joyful harmony, in brotherhood with each other, recognising how we are all leaving an energetic imprint all of the time which directly contributes to the whole that we are all a part of.

  344. ‘It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.’ – we have become so entrenched in our way of living, which clearly isn’t working for us, with the shocking increases in illness and disease, that we can’t see the wood from the trees – the truth, the key to our own well being lies within us, it is up to us to choose to activate our own healing process.

    1. Stepping out of the density of the wood into a natural clearing and realising that all we have been searching for in amongst the trees was with us all along. It is sometimes an uncomfortable realisation because we have to then dispense with any blame, but it is also an inspiring one when we realise that we can make changes and different choices.

    1. Well said we do need to reclaim the space in our bodies as belonging to God, as we are all in the body of God. We need to stop and appreciate this body we have been given and for what purpose.

  345. You only have to be in the rush hour on the Tube on the London Underground to feel how everyone rushes and it feels like it’s pulling you along with it. It is at these moments that walking your own walk is vital.

    1. I agree Julie but I have felt that rush even on the beach with people rushing up and down to get their daily miles in and you can feel the pull or find yourself marching along and stop in the realisation you joined in. Walking with the body is a very loving way to exercise, really staying with what you feel honours you on any given day.

    2. Or driving through Sydney traffic, at any time of the day – it seems to be busy from morning to night and just extra extra busy at certain times. It’s very easy to get affected by the frenetic pace and absolute disregard many have for each other on the road. How we are with each other on the road offers a reflection of how we are with each other in life.

      1. I agree with you Alison and Judy, I drive in North London as part of my job and sometimes the abusive behaviour is strong with other drivers. It takes a lot to stand your ground and hold steady but it is necessary.

  346. The Walking Therapy is so simple but very effective in changing how we connect to the body as we move. We can do it anywhere, anytime and the body feels it all. We get profound changes from walking in connection.

  347. Everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body. So true and a great reminder for all our daily movements, like walking. Sounds great the Walking Therapy: simple yet powerful. And we can apply it to every walk we make.

  348. I love how I can now use my walk to prepare myself for certain events of activities.

  349. ‘The way we use it, abuse it, make it do all sorts of extreme activities, diets, social adventures and just as commonly, letting the body stagnate in the comfort of inactivity by doing nothing at all!’ – one of our greatest mis-conceptions that I have held for most of my life is that we ‘think’ we know what is best for us, as opposed to listening to our body and feeling into how to best support ourselves. We already know all the answers, it’s a case of listening and choosing to honour what we feel.

  350. If we get sick through the way we have moved through life, be that emotionally, as a helicopter parent or in protection, it makes sense that we can ‘unmove’ in this way and allow our body to guide us to move in a way that doesn’t squeeze us into a box.

  351. The Walking Therapies are amazing. I have never felt such freedom in my body and such purpose in life so instantly there.

  352. Just as how we walk can take us further away from ourselves so can how we walk bring us totally back to our presence and a true connection to our body.

  353. We’re either walking with God or we’re not and if we’re not then we’re open prey for a whole gamut of disreputable energies to hitch a ride.

  354. I love the small adjustments I have been shown and it changes my walk very profoundly. There is a great flow in the body by some tiny changes.

    1. Yes Gill, these small adjustments are quite profound in the way it brings a closer connection and a deepening to the relationship with All that we are.

  355. ‘The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.’ This is an important statement because our body is our prime sensor and yet we feed it so much food it goes numb and then we use our mind to direct our lives.

  356. The simplest of movements when done in full connection with ones body can bring about the most profound, though often subtle changes in us on so many levels.

  357. The fundamental turning point for me when meeting Universal Medicine was feeling that inner spark being re-kindled within my self, supported and nurtured by the living quality of practitioners who live in perpetual connection to their own. We can never heal another person but when we deepen connection to own fiery essence, it innately empowers others to reclaim theirs.

  358. Walking Therapies as presented by Serge Benhayon is a great gift to the world and will one day be embraced by all – but still many years to go until that happens. If we only knew just how much we are affected by our movements and how every step we take has an effect on not only us but the planet and everyone else we would sit up and walk (and talk) quite differently.

    1. The truth is that we do all know these things but choose to not be aware of it. We can see a lot in each other’s walk. For example if someone is feeing dejected and walks in a stooped sort of way we know what that walk is saying but if we are the one walking in that way we often don’t choose to connect to how our walk is magnifying and perpetuating that energy in our body as well as providing that reflection to others. Bringing more awareness to our walk is a very powerful healing modality.

      1. In the same way that we can recognise when someone is feeling angry, sad, alone, uncomfortable – we can recognise when someone is full of joy, feeling the love that they are in every step – we may find it harder to put our finger on what it is that is so compelling about this person as it’s a way of being that is currently not so usual in our society, even though it’s our innate way of being, yet, mostly, we are not choosing to live this way.

      2. We all know so much more than we let on – another example is when someone smiles sweetly when you can feel they are furious. Last week two people paid me a “compliment” about a dress I was wearing, I could easily feel how one of them was saying what they said with a denigrating intention whilst the other said it in a loving way out of appreciation. I choose not to take on the first and to appreciate the second. The more we allow ourselves to discern the energy being expressed the clearer we can feel it and the healthier it is for our bodies and everyone!

  359. I have really noticed this lately how, ‘The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all..’ When I am busy in my mind, I don’t give myself space to feel what is going on. I then tend to react to situations very easily instead of allowing myself to feel, observe and connect to my body.

    1. The mind seems very one dimensional in comparison to our body which always feels everything. Our body offers us the perspective how we are a part of so much more, rather than us being the epicentre of everything.

  360. ‘We can tell by watching someone walking down the street whether they are well in themselves, healthy, confident, shy, and insecure or being himself or herself.’ – True, by truly watching people we can tell where they are at, but sadly, in our society the reality is that often we don’t really truly see each other, or we may see them and ‘turn a blind eye’ because it is too stressful and disturbing to take in what we see if they are not in a good place – or the opposite, it is too confronting to feel the reflection it is offering if they are in a great place.

    1. I agree Eva – there is a sense of apathy and of either having given up or wanting to avoid responsibility.

      1. Maybe that’s a large part of our reaction when we are in the presence of someone who is living their truth. We instantly feel the truth of what is being lived, we know it for ourselves and our reaction is to the hurt we are feeling from having given up on ourselves, that we are avoiding taking responsibility and not wanting to make the same loving choices for our selves, which we know we can make, because we can feel the truth.

  361. ‘…walking in a way that was full of whole body presence and a purpose of expressing who we are in each and every stride.’ When I walk down the street I cannot remember seeing people walking this way. I see people carrying their hurts and trying to present a certain way to the world – I know I describe myself here most of the time. So it’s wonderful to read this and know that there is another way. I often am aware of when I cave in my chest for protection and as soon as I notice I remember to relax and let people in. How I walk completely changes my day.

  362. Choosing to be present as we walk is about choosing to take responsibility for what we are bringing to the world in each moment. It is so easy to drift off, mentally living in the illusion of the thoughts entering our heads and to miss all that being ‘present’ offers us in every moment.

  363. Every step either keeps us from developing our relationship with ourselves, Or allows us to connect and take that relationship deeper.

  364. Life is always showing us we can be more, and that there is more to us. Life offers us reflections in so many ways, especially through our relationships, and especially the relationship with ourselves. As the saying goes, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear…

  365. We do take notice and are aware of many aspects of our lives… because we all know how to undo what we have done. For example, when you discuss self-care with a group of people, they may not be self-caring at the time and will admit this, but they will all tell you what they could or ‘should’ be doing in the way of treating themselves with more care.

  366. We definitely underestimate the power of our walk, we take literally thousands of steps a day and what if each one of these steps was not something we dismissed, or never thought twice about, but actually had the potential to light up the world?

    1. It would save a lot on electricity…. seriously though, that is what you share is true (and it is) and we just make jokes and ridicule it away as we do so many transformational truths – not funny at all!

      1. You make an interesting point here, Nicola, how we can tend to ridicule when a truth is shared that is asking us to step up and take responsibility for the way we are living – we try to side step well out of the way and shut it down by making a joke to dismiss the truth and stay comfortable.

  367. What if every moment was an opportunity to heal.. when we start to make choices that leave us more aware and open to seeing more of the loving but also the self- harming choices we’ve been making, it can feel a little overwhelming, but the key and antidote to this is appreciation: appreciating that we are seeing and aware of more, and because of that awareness, can make choices to move and live differently, to heal, let go, and to learn. And to appreciate all the loving choices we’ve made in the first place that allow us to see and feel more.

  368. Becoming more consciously aware of my movements, I observe how circulating thoughts affect posture and take me away from my body. It’s a constant work in progress to stay connected to the body and not be pulled off track by the mind.

  369. I went for a swim last night and could feel moments when I was just in a flow of movement and it felt almost effortless and smooth, but the rest of the time it was a struggle and the flow was not there. There is a direct parallel there with movement in life. We can be in an effortless flow which supports us to move with the support of our essence in life, or we can try to control it and struggle. The first is healing and the second brings disease.

  370. Very well expressed Doug! People get furious when you take away the quick solution from the outside from them, by saying that this will not heal the root and only burden it. It is like: ” Don´t take me away the option of staying in my comfort zone and NO, my hurts are too confronting and huge, I want to keep them in the closet”.

  371. The human brain thinks it can hide how we truly feel by changing movements in a walk, acting out a role or attitude towards other people. When in fact we are all multidimensional beings and feel and see where someone is at by their movements. If you want to see the truth, you will. If you want to get sold a lie, you will cut yourself off from the all knowing by ignoring what you actually feel, see and sense all the time.

    1. ‘If you want to see the truth, you will.’ – Exactly, and even if you don’t, truth will eventually make you see it.

      1. This is so true Eva, and when we avoid embracing truth it just hurts us and makes life so much more complicated.

  372. “… everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” Therefore everyday we have an opportunity to heal our selves, from the way we interact with people to the way we literally walk through our day. What simple and immensely powerful medicine.

  373. For most of the people accepting and living the fact that we are responsible in full for every move our body does & that we either heal or harm with our movements, is too huge. It is easier to blame the outside, instead of living the abundance of connection we all have to our body.

  374. It just makes so much sense, that to look at the way we walk, move and breathe supports every step in our lives. Whether you’re lying in a hospital bed, sitting in a wheelchair or actually walking, this impacts on us all as we are moving constantly.

  375. ‘These are everyday life activities, many of which we take for granted, not realising the value in these somewhat basic tasks. ‘ So often I have looked to something extra special for a miracle but actually the healing is in how I move and walk. Looking for something outside of myself was me saying no to my own responsibility of how I live.

    1. I can relate to what you say Karin but looking for the ‘extra special’ miracle is an illusion. Bringing purpose and love to everyday tasks, often described as mundane, is our gateway to heaven.

  376. It is very cool that you can practice walking in a way that supports your body fully, all day long!

  377. ‘We know when someone is in a relationship, be it family, friends or partners, that isn’t doing so well and we can see that disharmony in their body by how they talk, breathe, sit, stand and walk.’ – the fact that we can recognise this in another, as you share, confirms that we know when things are not ‘right’, harmonious, as they can be. Therefore, we know when this is true for ourselves too. Yet, our response to this can so often be to dull this awareness to avoid addressing it, which just compounds things further, or, we can choose to truly support ourselves by taking a look at what is actually going on and being very honest about everything that we are feeling.

  378. Rachael, I have experienced this with friends and family and I can feel how there are so many things in our life that we do not appreciate particlularly our health and our bodies. It feels like we push our bodies and complain when we get sick and rarely adore and appreciate them; ‘when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more, be it a loved one, material possessions, money or our job.’

  379. I have always loved using my walk to check in to how my body feels and note different areas in my body. Walking therapies took that to a whole new level. What I realised was the confidence in myself that I had when I walked all of me. It also felt like I was using no effort at all when I walked in this way, in fact there was no effort at all. That was a real marker for me, so now I know by my walk if I walk with effort or trying I am not walking from me.

  380. “…everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body” – when we see things as an opportunity rather than a challenge or a hindrance or an issue then life begins to change drastically. It is more than just seeing the glass half full or half empty, as it is about seizing a moment and choosing to make the next step evolutionary.

  381. ‘The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ Absolutely Rachel, – it is so simple, practical and makes complete sense.

  382. It is not until we injure a part of our bodies do we really appreciate how well they work and how essential each part is to the whole. Learning to treasure my body is an ongoing process, but the more I do the more vital and well I feel. I am deeply appreciative to Universal Medicine for enabling to stop taking this amazing body for granted anymore.

  383. Yesterday morning I felt I did not have time for the walk that I wanted to go for before I left for work and I felt I would miss the foundation that it can provide in my day, however realising that the same building of quality is possible in all of our movements, allowed me to bring the same focus to the way I move in every way, and feel the same development of quality. It is available to us all the time, in every moment of every day if we choose.

    1. Great point Michael. We walk all the time. Some of my favourite walks are in corridors. For example just getting up from my desk and walking to the toilet is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect to my body and my powerful healing walk 🙂

  384. I am on my feet all day, I must walk miles, in fact I do. I had one of those apps that keep track of your steps and it was a lot, so if I could master my walk and it was healing in the way I move and had more presence in what I am doing, it’s a totally win, win situation.

    1. When we can change our understanding of the power of our walk, we can support out own healing in our own movements as we appreciate every step we take.

  385. The link between our living way and sense of self is unbreakable, how we move allows a quality that we will know ourselves by, and I’ve come to understand that there are only two fundamental qualities, soulful and everything that is not soul full. Our sense of self and fundamental well-being will be very different, if not polar opposites dependent on the source of energy we’ve aligned to.

  386. ‘The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.’ The more I pay attention to this fact, the more wonderment I develop of my body. My body has become my greatest teacher from this basis, has and continues to show me the difference between abuse and love.

  387. Since reading this I have noticed how I am walking more and making subtle changes to how I walk, as I was noticing I wasn’t standing tall and this was reflecting how I was letting life be bigger than me and not bringing my fullness. How we walk communicates so much about us.

    1. I have noticed very clearly how my body posture affects my thoughts. Even if I am bent over a little in my middle more negative thoughts can come in. Straighten up and the thoughts no longer enter. Such a simple awareness is a game changer.

  388. Agree – a brilliant opportunity to reflect something different, not by preaching but by lived example.

  389. “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ ” – Indeed, are we willing to make a stop and look at how we have lived thus far, and if maybe it has affected our health and wellbeing?

  390. Small adjustments can make a huge difference, and things like changing our posture, the way we move or how we walk can transform our relationship to tiredness or fatigue, replacing a ‘slump’ with empowerment, openness and confidence in our quality.

    1. Very true Susie. I often notice that my posture reflects my moods and a sure way to alter that and restore my vitality is to bring my attention back to how I sit, how I walk and move. When we support correct flow in our bodies it naturally enhances the flow of life.

  391. I spend a lot of time in front of a computer, always juggling a number of different things at the same time. It’s interesting how strong my impulse is to get up and walk, even if it’s only to the photo copier, particularly when things start to get intense. Movement allows us to come back to ourselves, it supports us to let go of control when we choose to let go, and to feel the amazing support that surrounds us.

    1. Yes, I love a walk around the office- and it’s nice connecting with people as I travel around it.

  392. How we walk can support us in everything we do, or it can magnify the disharmony we are already in. How powerful it is that we can change how we are walking at any moment and feel the impact throughout our body.

  393. The difference in my outlook on life when I walk with an open heart and no hats, of who I am, or who I need to be, is astounding.

  394. A decade ago I observed Serge Benhayon as he lifted massage tables from a height and brought to floor level. He paused and connected to his breath before he moved, making the movement seem effortless. This was a powerful reflection for me. When I work with clients and have to transfer them from one position or place to another, I always pause first, connect, align my body and then move. Moving with presence supports the body in many different ways.

  395. Beautifully expressed, this whole doing something to others, neglects the persons choice and the persons choice is the key to long term sustainable healing. “Healing is a big deal in our world and there are many who believe they can heal others, that they are talented, have the equivalent of a ‘green thumb’ to the body as if it were a garden bed. But what if no one can actually do the healing for us? What if they can only inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing what has been erroneously lived?” It needs to come from within, inspiration is like a fire burning bright, but we all need to choose to heal ourselves.

  396. Getting involved with other peoples drama is a killer and causes many problems for the body. What Serge has shared about the Gentle Breath Meditation and now the Walking Therapies is a game changer – no longer do we have to be at the mercy of someone else’s disharmony.

  397. You can tell by the way someone walks and the way someone talks whether or not they are actually walking their talk. Serge Benhayon has been a remarkable reflection of this and has set a standard that I for one hadn’t seen from any one else.

    1. And I can tell by the way I talk what I have been walking. If I feel this gap, tension, tremor, lack of confidence…then it is a sure sign that I have not been fully committed and connected in the time that led up to me doing that talking.

  398. It seems such a simple thing and we make life so complicated – just moving gently, walking to the toilet, to the bedroom, out the front door, to the car – simply moving tenderly makes a difference to how we feel about ourselves and how we are in the world.

  399. We can become so used to the way we walk that we fail to notice how far we might have slipped from the flowing and ease that this movement should be, an accurate reflection of how we have lost sight of our true vitality. Enter a man, Serge Benhayon, who in full connection to the vital and vivacious flow of life, is empowering us to reclaim the ease and deliciousness of our own walk and in that, our power to walk ourselves back to a whole and vital health.

  400. Sure Susan, and we all can read too but we are not always that aware of this quality, as when we read we become aware of the reality of life which sometimes is a bit challenging to be confronted with.

  401. We may think we can get healed by the touch of someone and therefore give them the credit but it is our body that got reminded and was supported by that touch to energetically release that what disrupted the natural flow in the body. It is not the touch but the willingness of us to let go and to bring the healing by reconfiguring the body to more of its natural state.

  402. Our body is so much more intelligent then we think it is as it knows how to heal itself, to bring itself back to its natural order. The order we continuously and erroneously dishonour by the whims of our mind.

  403. It was inspiring to be aware of the level of treasure we can be with the body, that does not only mean gentleness but to commit to feeling every part and not leaving anything out, it is like getting to know many new friends and it is very inspiring.

  404. “It was basic and simple: a group of people walking, but walking in a way that was full of whole body presence and a purpose of expressing who we are in each and every stride..” – Rachael I also experienced The Walking Therapy recently… and observing a person/group of people walk the strides of their truth was utterly breathtaking and totally inspiring. To then experience this [walk] myself.. there are no words to describe it; it is life-changing.

  405. Imagine how it would change the fashion industry for models to be walking in connection with themselves, walking the essence of who they are.

    1. The whole beauty and fashion industry would be shaken to its core if models were to start walking in their essence rather than walking in the very controlled and trained ways they are currently expected to strut up and down the catwalk. The expressionless faces would be gone and the models true inner-beauty would be shining through like a breath of fresh air.

  406. It is so true that…”…if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life…” then we absolutely know how to heal ourselves – by making different choices in the way we live and move. It really is that simple and yet we make it so complicated in an attempt to avoid the responsibility of making loving choices.

  407. We are already everything that we need to be in life and we have the free will to choose to live and share all that we are, yet this is where we stumble. We have looked around us for guidance rather than re-connecting within and listening to our own innate wisdom.

  408. ‘… when we are actually connected to our body and not caught in the mind we can FEEL the level of connection that our bodies have with everything else in life.’ – a very simple statement, but so profound in everything that it is sharing.

  409. If you give man a fish you’ll feed him once, if you teach a man to fish he’ll be fed for a lifetime. Do we really understand the gift we have been given through the wisdom and teachings of the Ageless Wisdom? To know that our life is 100% in our hands must be one of the most profound teachings.

  410. One could now say: Show me how you walk and it will show how much of yourself you live or not. Actually we know and clock that with everyone but not necessarily make it a conscious understanding.
The walking therapies bring it to our awareness and thus make it available to us to change the energy and expression that moves us via the walking.

  411. I can feel how we take the body for granted, despite it trying to give us messages we want to ignore. It tries to serve us but we have to listen and feel how we move it.

  412. It is proving to not only be healthier and simpler to support healing and well-being through the way I choose to live, it also brings the love for self and others to the fore front which is great for everyones heart.

  413. It makes so much sense that the way we walk and move effects how we feel and are. Walk slouched and you can easily feel depressed. Walk all of you and can’t not but smile and feel the sense of wonderment and Joy. It may seem too simple but makes such a difference.

  414. Such a simple action that when we see written down feels so easy to accomplish. And then comes the real discipline of staying with our body as we walk and not letting our mind drift off like a helium balloon into the task/day/week/year ahead or behind us!

  415. Yesterday morning was my daughter’s birthday party and she had more sugar than she is used to, so in the afternoon we went for a long walk in nature and the fresh air to support her to come back to herself and get a good night sleep. It was so lovely observing her being herself and so playful with one of the dogs we met. Nature and walk is so supportive, we will go for another long walk today as it brings so much joy to her face at bedtime when we have been out in the fresh air walking in nature.

  416. The first paragraph here reveals so much about our human life in which we choose to overlook so much that is on offer to us, starting with our own body and all around us.

    1. Yes Michael it’s no wonder this is the case when from childhood we’re schooled to focus on externals, how we look, exam, sporting and achievement. As a child I was not taught to have a relationship with my body and grew up largely ignorant of it. In school, I studied human biology, but not how to relate to my body as a human being. This new awareness came late in life, through Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine, I finally understood the disastrous consequences of taking my body for granted.

  417. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most…” This is quite an honest statement because often what we ‘want’ to do is at the mercy of and without much honouring of how we feel, i.e. we can ‘push’ or go into momentum of ‘drive’ to get things done and to tick things off the ‘to do’ list’ .

    1. If we only took our body for granted then it wouldn’t be so bad but we don’t; we actively abuse it. We shovel all manner of dreadful substances into it whilst flogging it day in and day out. And yet when we allow it to guide our choices, it will eventually take us Home.

  418. ‘The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.’ – My whole life my body has been speaking very loudly to me but it was not until I met Serge Benhayon that I realised I actually had to listen! Before then, I did my best to ignore it or override it, I was a master at pulling myself together at the expense of my body.

  419. It’s very beautiful to be finally honouring myself by appreciating how amazing my body truly is, deepening the relationship I have with myself by listening to the wisdom being shared with me by my magnificent body – which is constantly and relentlessly supporting me to be the love that I am.

  420. ‘The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.’ – this starts with us assuming that our body is a mass of flesh, muscle, bone and organs all interlinked and humming along nicely while we’re alive and that’s it – that we can treat our bodies as we wish because we ‘know’ best. It wasn’t until I heard a presentation by Serge Benhayon about the exquisite wisdom our bodies hold that I stopped to consider this truth and realised how very ignorant and arrogant I have been for most of my life.

  421. Yes, Rachel, I love that Serge Benhayon presents how the simplicity of everyday movements and tasks can deepen our connection to the soul and our divine origins. This makes every breath and step full of potential and magic.

    1. Yes, Janet, this sweeps clean the concept of everyday tasks as mundane and replaces it with movement rich with ‘potential and magic’.

    2. “This makes every breath and step full of potential and magic.” What a gorgeous and inspiring way to live! I’m finding it a fascinating process at the moment being aware of my every step (without perfection) feeling how my feet move and how they feel touching the ground… it really brings me back to me, to my whole body and especially the way I’m choosing to breathe.

  422. The way we walk, speak , move and touch are all expression and reflect our state of being. The Walking Therapy is like medicine for the body, it aligned me to that part of me that is always there but that I didn’t necessarily walk all the tine, my true essence, that walks tall, free and claimed.

  423. I agree Rachel – every movement by Serge Benhayon is impulsed from the truth of his living way, a grace and purpose that is a powerful and inspiring reminder of the truth or our divine origins.
“You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!”

  424. Do we just walk or move because we can? Are our movements really just random spontaneous events? Does the earth orbit the sun or spin on its axis aimlessly? Or is there a bigger grander purpose to our movements that is much more part of the whole universal order and harmony then we are willing to admit?

    1. Indeed – are we asking ourselves the question ‘What if?’ And where does it take us? Are we willing and able to see beyond the ideals and beliefs that we are held by?

  425. Interesting that even though we take our body for granted the most, it is our body that is consistently showing us how disrespectful we are to it, through aches and pains, illnesses and exhaustion etc. A best friend guiding us to truth.

  426. It is our willingness to be open to our body that brings the opportunity for healing in our walk.

  427. The equivalent of the term ‘God speed you!’ in German would translate to ‘Walk with God’. The ‘walking therapy’ by Serge Benhayon gives it the true meaning in the most tangible sense one can wish for, it is literally the way of walking with God through the impress by the Soul within oneself and thus with each other.

    1. Thank you for sharing this Alexander, there is such beauty in what you share and the way you have shared it. It feels amazing to know that we can all walk with each other in this way and constantly feel each other as we walk.

    2. Love what you have shared, Alex. Walking in connection with oneself ‘is literally the way of walking with God through the impress by the Soul within oneself and thus with each other.’

  428. “Healing is a big deal in our world” A core necessity given the way we live and therein lies the answer. The way we live is our medicine, our daily choices either heal or harm us and therefore we hold the power to our own health.

  429. Thanks, Rachel. I had the opportunity to attend a walking therapies session with Serge Benhayon yesterday and was blown away by how such simple shifts in the body and the way we move can align us so strongly to the soul.

  430. It is our bodies that allow us to physically be in life, and therefore life is constantly offering us opportunities to live healing, and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.

    1. How many times a day do we dismiss our bodies? Yet what is being offered here is a very simple way of enriching our living and our lives.

  431. Reading this reminds me that there is so much to appreciate each day. Like walking. We can live life in the mere function of what we do or as been shared above, have a deeper relationship with ourselves within what we do.

    1. We cannot deny the fact that whether or not we live in mere function and existence or we appreciate every step and every moment in life, is actually a choice.

    2. It’s well worth just contemplating the possibility that there is so much more to our movements than just to attain a specific goal. It’s a gigantic concept and often I will baton down the hatches and not go there. But more and more I am finding that this awakening and awareness is the source of true joy and purpose in my day that can far out-weight the short-term ‘buzz’ of achieving a goal.

  432. The notion of life as the healer is definitely worth pondering. Most of us would have it that our lives slowly wear out our bodies and that we are inevitably sliding towards a decline in well-being, vitality, purpose and ultimately death. Whilst death is an inevitable, and whilst our bodies may become less physically able, this offering does turn everything on it’s head. What if we lived in a way that actually we were more ‘alive’, more connected to who we truly are and more committed to serving our brothers at the time of our passing than we were in our so called “prime years”. Now that would be a life well lived!

    1. Agreed Otto! Without pictures, when I come to passing over I would like there to be no regrets about my life lived because it was filled with purpose and meaning. There is such a lot to be said for a gathering maturity and lived experience, to honour this to the last days without dismissing any of it – both for what I have learned personally and how I have evolved in accepting those lessons, but how I also put that garnered wisdom into action in the support of others. What else really is there or to what other purpose are we truly learning and evolving?

    2. Yep and today while sitting in a cafe and observing people walking I could really feel and see how important our movement and walking (in true connection with ourselves) is powerful and healing, yet we do not do this, instead currently we are more focused on where we need to get to. We have so much to learn here.

      1. Why the hurry to get to the same place we have just come from – which is in essence what happens if we make no effort to see the bigger picture and perhaps change/evolve the merry-go-round we are all on? A great big humble pill is what is needed – and many times I have to repeatedly sit myself down and swallow this pill to get myself out of the arrogance of believing that we have the answers and that we my life are ‘good’.

  433. Under the guidance of Serge Benhayon and having participated in a group walking therapy session yesterday I am realising more and more how essential our walk, the way we walk, is. Having been shown how to move with so much more openness and fluidity in the body I see how that also allows for more openness and fluidity in the way we are with ourselves and in the way we live life.

  434. Many modalities mention that we always heal ourself, that the technique triggers self-healing but none have backed it up yet, it feels tokenistic and superficially placating. Only the Universal Medicine Therapies have presented the science of healing and state without a doubt that healing is about removing what we are not; and looked at in that light, the fact that we heal ourselves is as obvious as daylight.

    1. Yes as obvious as daylight! Great analogy, and a true healing may be for your body to be full of cancer and passing over, we get so caught up in healing being about fixing ourselves rather than being ourselves.

    2. Ariana you are absolutely correct to say Serge is the living proof of healing ourselves and walking that health everyday. He is one inspirational man and his body emanates love, truth and that he lives.

  435. I had my first Walking Therapy session yesterday. I was bowled over by its simplicity and power. Just when you think we have been given everything Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon bring out another modality that supports us to be even more of ourselves. With greater awareness of the physical body and the energy at play we really can discern in each and every moment what is true or not.

  436. At the first Universal Medicine workshop I ever attended, I became aware that the grief I still held for my mothers passing, after 18 years, was due to the fact that our relationship had never been one of true connection with each other, despite our love for each other. My grief was due to the fact that we had missed the opportunity for our relationship to be what it had the potential to be, had we allowed ourselves to go there. Once I felt and acknowledged this, I no longer held on to any grief. I say this without judgment and it in no way takes away from the deep love that I had and always will have for my beautiful mother.

  437. I have often heard people criticise their own bodies, like they are failing it not doing their job, this for me ountsxat the separation many of us have with mind and body. I know I have done it, but we can change this separation and bring my back a whole body awareness and health.

  438. ‘Us humans take a lot for granted. We know that, because when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more, be it a loved one, material possessions, money or our job.’ – even in this process of mourning we are offered an opportunity to surrender, connect with the truth and move on.

  439. I totally get what your sharing Rachael. Every moment I choose to walk my walk that was supported to be felt by Serge Benhayon, I’m blown away by the power of what it offers. I feel how gorgeous I am, how my movements are healing what I’ve walked in the past and how this modality has the power to change lives.

  440. Today I had a group walking session with Serge Benhayon and what got revealed and released in that walk was much of the ‘breaks’ that hold us back from moving freely and keep us from being who we are, to have a body free of impositions we are often not even aware of, but that hinder our movements from being the true expression that otherwise is naturally ours. On one hand it is astonishingly simple and at the same time it is groundbreaking.

    1. ‘On one hand it is astonishingly simple and at the same time it is groundbreaking.’ – The same goes for all the teachings by Serge Benhayon, The Gentle Breath Meditation is but one example. Simple but absolutely groundbreaking.

  441. “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” Yes of course, it makes sense, usually we feel we only abuse our body however we can turn this around and listen to and work with our bodies to heal them.

  442. “some blame the body for its lack of acceptance of one’s chosen lifestyle and they continue to do what they’ve always done and ‘put up’ with the body’s communications, or silence these communications with ‘medicative means.”
This makes me wonder, just how often do we do this , not just with medications but with all manner of activities that we call fun-filled but actually we use them as distractions from our commitment to life.

  443. It strikes me that we all deeply value the experience of ‘feeling’ over that of ‘thinking’ – it is something that is so often talked about, claimed or expressed; so we all know that there is a big difference, and we all know which carries a deeper level of truth. And we also know, when we ponder it deeply, that the mind can’t feel and that it is the body that delivers this expression and communication. So with all of this as a known, why is it that we then seemingly do everything that we can to hammer, disconnect or abuse the body. Or, to put it another way – if we want to tell lies, then best to disconnect the lie-detector.

  444. “everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body” – This is a crucial point, that our connection comes through the BODY as opposed to our minds or ability to retain knowledge. We often use the latter to try and ‘better’ our life and relationships as opposed to making them true.

  445. It’s profound the effect small adjustments can make, the impact they have on our health and wellbeing. Walking with my body, feeling it move and staying present with my body is energising and I move through life completely differently to when I am walking thinking about other things, planning, the day ahead, thinking things through.

  446. I have started creating more space to go for walks with my daughter and what I have found is that she finds it incredibly supportive to walk and be in nature often asking me to go for a walk. I love seeing her sitting in grass picking at the grass and flowers, creating her own games, I can feel her letting go of the day and coming back to her innate joy.

    1. And once we allow ourselves to understand this truth, it opens the door for us to appreciate how immensely powerful we are and how much more of ourselves there is for us to live and share with humanity and the potential this then offers for true change for us all.

  447. Just felt the essence in the title of this blog “Walking your walking” . There is no other way to walk but walk the divinely and true you and anything less is a mere shadow of who we are.

  448. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” My whole body is a multi-dimensional radar, sensing and feeling all that is going on around me, but how much I choose to pay attention, what I sense and feel is another question. Learning to appreciate the simple feedback from my body when I walk is an amazing starting point.

  449. Rachael, having read your blog, I thought Walking Therapies sounds great, however having now just had my first Walking Therapy session I am completely blown away. The aliveness and the vitality and spark that came back into my body during and now after the session is a true miracle.

  450. I just came out of a walking therapy session and oh.my.god. The practicality of it and the effect on my legs and my back is just out of this world.

  451. Indeed we do know when there is any tension in the body although it sometimes might be unconscious because we are so used to it on a daily basis. But our body does know and is constantly aware and form the intelligence of the body, that is built from love, it always is looking for a clearing or balancing that eventually can appear as an illness, disease or discomfort in the body. Eventually when we accept that this is how the body is naturally responding to disharmonious behaviour we have developed, we cannot else then become humble and surrender to the intelligence that the body is bringing to us and with that, to let go of the intelligence we think our brain is as our body shows clearly it is not.

  452. What I especially love about this blog, is that it is very empowering. We hold the key to our health and well-being. In every moment we are either healing or harming our body, it’s that simple.

  453. If we don’t choose to consciously inhabit our bodies then we get infilled by energies that delight in having their wicked way with us. But if we’re in there first, then there ain’t no room for energetic squatters!

  454. Throughout the ages people have looked for magic potions, tools and techniques to support us in life, in modern day, billions is spent on industries that sell their products and services under the promise of offering a ‘better’ experience of life.
What is offered in this blog is huge. The answer to all our woes is and has always been in the quality of every step that we take and every moment that we live.

    1. I agree Golnaz, this exposes the industry which has arisen out of people seeking healing when all of the time the answers lie within us and are available to us in our everyday choices and in our every movement.

    2. I agree Golnaz that many people want the magic bullet, the one quick fix or relief that comes from outside of them and that will take it all away, but this is an endless and fruitless search for the key to true health. Well-being and vitality, as you say, lies inside of us and in the energetic quality of our movements in every moment.

  455. In Aged Care homes, we more often then not, see the end result of people not looking after their bodies. Because of this many are bed ridden and unable to do daily care without lots of support. We often take our bodies for granted when we are young, it would be great for our youth to visit these homes and see for themselves what happens when we do not honour our bodies throughout our lives

  456. It is very true that it is super important to take the messages of our body through discomfort, illness and disease serious and try not to get rid of it or react to it. For long I reacted, and I sometimes still do, to being ill or feeling a pain or ache in my body, but I am seeing more and more that it is always love from my body, because it is saying something about how I am living is not working and as loving as it could be. And seeing it this way brings openness and healing.

  457. Our bodies expose our daily choices, how we choose to live, and the way we walk is no exception. ‘Body language’ is something we all know, its been around for eons – we just choose to ignore it.

  458. Rachael, what you are sharing is beautiful and can save us lots of time and money because we can heal by how we are in our everyday – so simple and empowering; ‘Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.’

  459. We are the only ones who can walk our own walk, as although we are all equal in essence, we are all here to move in a way that reflects a very different facet of the Divine to enrich the All.

  460. There’s so much even in the title. Walking your walk and not the world’s or how we think we should be. Discovering who I truly am is a daily unfolding and how I walk is a great part of that.

  461. How supportive is it to have all of these amazing tools at our fingertips that help us to deepen our connection all the time?

  462. Rachel, yes life certainly is a healer in my experience, changing my everyday ways and choices has had a profound effect on my health and wellbeing, and in fact all areas of my life.

  463. You are so right about us taking things for granted, the times I have been injured or really ill and not being able to leave my bed or walk did make me realise how much I take my health for granted and how great it was getting back to full health.

  464. Bringing our attention back to the simplicity of actions such as walking and breathing puts us back in touch with the essentials of life, it restores a deep appreciation of everything we take for granted.

    1. In a world that has become so very busy and complex, it feels very beautiful to go back to basics and enjoy the simplicity of just being truly with ourselves and appreciating the enormous joy and healing that this offers.

  465. I know your proposition to be true Rachel, life IS the healer. Every aspect of life offers us the opportunity to refine how we live, let go of what is not supporting health and vitality, and introduce what does.

    1. Great point Rosanna, just because we have always done something doesn’t mean that it is necessarily supportive for us to continue with it. Nothing stays still, therefore, as we move through life, there will inevitably be things that don’t feel loving to have in our lives anymore. It’s important to honour this – as we deepen our foundation of love and self-care, there will be much refining and discarding that takes place.

  466. There is so much to heal from the body by changing the way we move and the way we walk. For instance, as a personal experience we can walk with a ‘big’ issue in our thoughts, finding that after some time the issue comes into perspective and loses its hold. To me that proves there is a healing that walking does bring to our body. Therefore, what now comes to mind; what are the statistics telling us when the numbers show people are moving less and less? Are we avoiding any healing that the movement of walking can bring to us?

    1. Great point Nico, an increasingly sedentary population loses the opportunity to connect to the healing of movement. Equally what a great opportunity to reintroduce movement but in its most healing forms rather than the movements which have led us to this point thus far.

      1. Indeed Michael, we as a collective have in general not walked in a healing way but more so to ingrain the ill patterns we have chosen to live by. And therefore by the reintroduction of the Walking Therapies we are offered a healing way we all have known before and now purposely can choose as a modality to heal that ill patterns we have walked for so long.

  467. So true Ariana, lack of appreciation is plague and also this is what causes relationships to be a challenge. Appreciation evolves relationships and when we consistently appreciate, life is a constant joy.

  468. Until Universal Medicine, I did not have a reflection of the beauty of the body. To me it was something I was stuck with – a physical form I had to keep criticising and testing to make better. The body got me through and got me attention and if it got sick I’d wonder why. Not until Universal Medicine did I understand the responsibility I have for the body and just how much I had been taking it for granted. I now know what it is to listen to my body and respond lovingly.

  469. A walk walked in connection to who we are has the potential to shift problems so that we can find a positive way forward, that otherwise can seem impossible to shift.

  470. Very true, Susan, a powerful reflection of how tightly we hold on to what we ‘think’ we know, rather than feeling truth through our body.

  471. I’ve noticed that when I make a poor choice, whether it be what I choose to eat, or how I say something to someone, I am immediately aware of the effect in my body, I can feel the harm I have caused, yet, rather than pausing and learning from that incident, I can go into judgment and berate myself, which just keeps me in the same negative energy and magnifies it even more. We are human, we all make mistakes, it’s how we move on from that ‘mistake’ and what we learn from it that matters.

    1. Sure Alison, we are allowed to make mistakes, otherwise we would never learn.

  472. This really is the bottom line in true healing… “But what if no one can actually do the healing for us?” No matter how conscientiously we may try to out-source our own healing – to hand the responsibility to another, our bodies belong to us, we have made the choices to treat them the way we have, and so the responsibility for these choices lies solely with us. Only we know how and why we have made those choices and therefore the responsibility for healing those choices is ours.

  473. It also just demonstrates how far we have strayed from the grand simplicity in life

  474. I agree – as humans we do take a lot for granted and it even seems that the more we get the more we do not appreciate and even develop an entitlement way of being.
However when we bring life back to simplicity, to the communication of our body and to bringing awareness to how we move and walk in life then from my experience life and my body feel very grand with much to appreciate.

    1. The world has been going towards an ‘everything is disposable’ stance and a lack of appreciating anything. Even if we could dispose of our bodies and replace it with some artificial latest model, I am sure many would go for it! And the irony is that we keep finding that nothing satisfies for long, so instead of stopping and considering maybe something is up with the way we are approaching life, we have been frantically reaching for more, bigger and better.

What if as you say the true settlement and contentment comes from letting ourselves connect with and appreciate the simple aspects of life, bringing it “back to simplicity, to the communication of our body and to bringing awareness to how we move and walk in life”.

  475. The most ‘basic’ simplest functions our body does are not merely functions, but so much more. We can walk in a way that energises us, rejuvenates us and brings us back to ourselves – and the Walking Therapies are revealing this now to us at a whole other level – or, we can walk to just get to B as quickly as possible and aggravate every cell in our body in the process of doing so.
One way is treating our body with attentiveness and love – and hence bringing love into our everyday lives. The other is treating the body as the misbehaving piece of apparatus that dares to fail us because of its inconvenient fragility – and when we take that stance we live a life that has harshness around many a corners and a life that is reduced to function itself.

  476. The fact that no one else can actually ‘heal’ us, and that the disharmony which requires healing was brought on by our own choice of living contra to our natural essence, so equally we are the master of our own healing through our choice, these are in fact the most significant and foundational pieces of information we ought to taking into account when working out a healing plan.

  477. This blog really resonated with me because it was a reminder that the future is in our hands and we have a responsibility to choose if we want to heal or not. Every movement harms or heals – as simple as that.

    1. Yes, we are the answer to our ill’s and how our world is, it is for us to bring that change by starting with oursleves.

  478. “Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” It all starts with the simplest of movements-anyone can do this.

  479. I recently moved to a city and walk to and from work every day, and I notice how much more connected I am to myself during the day as I feel generally more in touch with my body and my movements.

    1. I hadn’t appreciated how supportive it is for my daughter and I that we walk to school, I was taking it for granted but as a child we had to be driven to school so we never had that time of connection before the school day started.

  480. We love to focus on x, y and z, discuss w and contemplate n but the simple truth is all we need to do is focus on living from the very beginning like a, b, c. We think we learn the crucial information at school but actually miss the true simplicity we need – every small step matters and counts – it’s elementary. Thanks Rachael for this beautiful blog.

    1. I have been walking on a treadmill and watching the time for the cycles 1-9, and they are continuous there is not a moment that is not within a cycle so every moment is meaningful and powerful in its expression.

  481. This is gold and changes the way we view what is before us when we see that ‘everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body’. So rather than dreading what is ahead rather embrace what is before you to ultimately bring out more of you.

  482. I love people watching and one thing I always notice is how a person walks – dragging their feet or not really bending their legs much, or off balance leaning more to one side or even just a general rigidity in their body, it’s all there in our walk. I know that if I look at the bottom of my shoes, even though consciously I feel I walk very much on the balls of my feet, the very back edge of my shoe heels get worn away from the way I walk. But this is something we do so much it gets packed down into our bodies makeup and physiology, and the reasons behind why we walk like that just build up, be it contraction or business or lack of purpose etc.

  483. I friend of mine was given the opportunity to take part in the Walking sessions with Serge Benhayon and it has transformed they way they walk, they feel much more in their body. I’m looking forward to Serge Benhayon presenting them over here in the UK.

  484. The way of a child – through play and experimenting with our bodies new ways unfold of how to be with our bodies. Take out seriousness and let in joy.

  485. ‘Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.’ Simple truths to guide our everyday.

  486. There are so many healing modalities available today, many of which offer the promise of life without struggle. But the experience I have had with these, is that once you engage with them, you are forever bound to them, because you are led to believe that without them you are or will always be still consumed by the struggle. And so, when the Walking Therapies as presented by Serge Benhayon are given, they stand out as different because everyone all of the time has the need to move in one way or another, and if this movement is taken as a science that creates the foundations of your life, then this is the most empowering modality ever given to us on earth.

  487. Treasure our body and that loving care will be reflected in everything we do.

    1. So true Jonathan and it makes complete sense that the more we treasure and cherish our bodies and ourselves the more we will bring this quality to everything we do and everyone we meet.

  488. ‘The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ we’re very good at blaming life for what happens to us without realising that it is our choices which dictate this and therefore missing the total beauty in what is possible when we change those choices – we are responsible for our own path but life provides us with every opportunity to make it one of quality on our return.

  489. The body is one thing that we take for granted without batting an eyelid, and we are so practised at it that it has become ingrained in our movements. I have heard some amazing things about the walking therapy sessions Serge Benhayon presents, and I await eagerly for when I can do it myself.

    1. Julie I fully agree, we just put our body through all the paces expecting it to perform. In many ways we often treat our bodies far worse than we do our cars or our phones.

  490. ‘Everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.’ This is so true, since starting work in the Aged Care Sector, this has supported me to bring greater presence to all that I do and I am so much more in my body. The routine basic tasks such as showering, dressing, toileting, serving food etc. supported and strengthened my body and in turn my service to others is of a far greater quality.

    1. What a great example of bringing more to life and understanding and appreciating the body as a primary factor in the whole process.

      1. Yes, Rosanna, when we honour the body and listen to its constant communication, we are more able to discern what is going on within us and all around us which gives us such confidence in life.

      2. The head has been too much in the limelight, it’s time to showcase the truth about our bodies, as you have done here.

  491. I’m going to have a walking therapy session on Friday and I so can not wait for it!!

  492. The title of this blog speaks volumes, ‘walking your walk’, I can feel how I can walk in a rushed way, a hard way, an anxious way – none of this is walking my walk, if I walk with me, at my natural pace and rhythm, being aware of my movements and not in my head thinking about things, then I feel like I am walking MY walk and it feels great.

    1. I agree, when I can switch off my head and connect with my body I really enjoy my walk. I can walk for longer and am less exhausted afterwards.

  493. Our minds create complication and tension…
Our bodies bring simplicity and harmony that is a joy to live.

  494. Our bodies are key… when we deeply connect to them, feel what is going on and honour the messages they offer, the wisdom they share transforms our lives.

  495. ‘when we are actually connected to our body and not caught in the mind we can FEEL the level of connection that our bodies have with everything else in life.’ – and it’s our connection with the ‘everything else’ which allows us to realise how we have got everything back to front, up-side down, inside out in life and that the way we have been living has been so very contrary to what truly supports us.

  496. ‘The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.’ – love this detail you are sharing here, Rachael. Our bodies allow us to connect with all that is there that we can’t see, which is so very much more than we could ever imagine.

    1. I love it when I trust my body and what I feel. When I move and make decisions from here, they feel complete and certain. Being in connection with our body and what it is communicating and trusting the body is key.

  497. “But what if no one can actually do the healing for us? What if they can only inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing what has been erroneously lived?” – Spot on as essentially we heal ourselves by the choices we make and the way we move and live.

    1. Which makes sense as we have to be the ones taking responsibility for the way we are living. It’s pointless for someone else to ‘heal’ us, if we continue living in the same pattern. The whole point is for us to gain a greater understanding and awareness for the way we are living and how it is truly affecting us and everyone else, by taking responsibility for everything we choose to do and say. It’s the changes that we put in place that enables the healing process to begin.

  498. I have had a strong belief I needed someone to heal me. It’s been many years coming to understand it’s me who is to heal myself through my choices, in each moment no less. I’ve resisted this responsibility but kept going to practitioners. It’s only through their constant reflection that communicated I am able to do this and never rescuing or falling for my stories through which I tried to evoke sympathy, that I have understood my life is as I have created it and therefore I have the power to change it and choose the quality I would like to live.

  499. Yes, what an opportunity to keep that relationship with your body open to what is being communicated in every moment and respond accordingly.

    1. If we allow it – living life in our bodies can make it feel congested and dense however when we allow ourselves to move in a true quality and surrender in our body then we are able to live the true us in life.

      1. My sense is this understanding needs to be felt in our bodies through a relationship with honesty – how do I feel after eating that, after speaking like that etc. Walking is a movement that is repeated and can offer a reflection back that is like a doctors session!

  500. We take a lot for granted and “when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more”. The problem is, as soon as we are ‘better, or have access to that things again, we tend to go back to the old ways as if nothing happened and we didn’t get a wake-up call!
It shows that we never got to really treasure it in the first place. We just felt the pinch of not having it. The Universal Medicine modalities are great for lifting the veil and letting us truly feel and start to appreciate all that we are, without the need to get ill or another form of loss.

  501. Just recently I read in a blog that we cannot sell our Soul but we can ‘sell’ our body, i.e. treat it in a way and allow an energy or consciousness to run it so that it will be harmed and therefore not have the capacity to express the energy and quality the Soul naturally provides. Thus not love but lovelessness will govern our body, behaviours and state of being. Understanding the body as a vehicle similar to how we know a car, we will realize that it is the driver who determines the style of driving, and thus the effect on the vehicle as well as on the traffic (life).

  502. SO simple – that if how we live can make us sick, then how we live can make us better. Sums it up beautifully and supports how powerful our bodies are. When we listen to them they absolutely respond.

  503. Learning to walk with ourselves, and with all the beauty, love and joy we intrinsically are, opens up a new perspective on life. For so long we have tried to walk in other people’s shoes, not our own, and follow in their footsteps, run after them, or run away from them. Standing on our own two feet and feeling that connection from the ground flowing up our bodies allows us to walk in our own shoes, healing the past. Walking our own walk enables us to walk with others in a more harmonious way, for the moment we try to fit in with them, the barriers arise and the walk becomes awkward, whereas if we are all walking our own walks then gradually we find, very naturally, that we are able to walk together without a struggle. Its a metaphor for all relationships,

  504. ‘Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.’ Everything we learn through the body – what an amazing teacher we have!

  505. The way we live, our lifestyle choices, are either poison or great medicine and Walking Therapies is a pertinent reminder how potent our everyday, every minute movements are – everything counts, nothing is trivial, every moment matters.

  506. Serge has totally nailed being human, but with the absoluteness of being part of the Universe and the multi-dimensionality that we are a part of. I have been deeply inspired by Serge and look forward to applying myself to the walking therapies when they come over to the UK.

  507. I read this before going for a walk this morning and it was a brilliant source of inspiration to be super aware when I walked and consider the quality of my movements and whether I was working with or against my body. Thank you, Rachael.

  508. When I walk with problems in my head and trying to work things out in my mind then this becomes my walk and I end up walking those problems, and not walking me. But if I bring presence and awareness of my movements then I feel much more in my body and back with myself, and those ‘problems’ have slipped away and aren’t part of my physical being unless I decide to walk with them.

    1. This is the essence Simone, there is walking and walking with presence, two different ways to walk. Again and through Universal Medicine we’re re-learning how to walk again. Like baby steps we fall down and get straight back up again until walking with presence becomes natural to us.

  509. Walking with ourselves in the way presented by Serge Benhayon shows us how we are so much grander than the hurts and issues we have taken upon ourselves, and indeed connected to so much more that we think.

  510. Yes, Rachel. I know I have treated my body abysmally for most of my life and then had a tantrum if it did not work the way I wanted it to. Would we treat a friend (or anyone for that matter) in this way? Thanks to Universal Medicine, I am developing a more respectful and trusting relationship with my body as my greatest source of truth about what is really going on.

  511. To disregard the body that en-houses us is to disregard all life, because all life is within us and us in it.

  512. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most. ” Extraordinary, but true. The most beautiful instrument but most have no relationship with, abuse or dishonour it. And we pay the price. Thanks to Serge Benhayon many are now re-igniting relationship the with their bodies listening and being guided by its wisdom.

  513. ‘when we are actually connected to our body and not caught in the mind we can FEEL the level of connection that our bodies have with everything else in life. The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see’ This is profound, and what I have discovered is that it is incredibly healing when we come back to our bodies, and true self-loving, as we no longer let our minds dominate and control the circus that life once was when the mind held the reins.

  514. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.” We seem to think that our bodies belong to us so therefore we can do what we like with them and hang the consequences. However, what I am becoming increasingly aware of, is that my body belongs to a divine order that when shown great respect and care, enables me to feel amazing.

  515. A very pertinent and fundamental ‘What If?” if we are to take true responsibility for life and healing – what if no one can actually do the healing for us? What if they can only inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing what has been erroneously lived? and therein lays the crucial element of that true reflection.

  516. Life and all it presents on a moment to moment basis is forever giving us the opportunity to grow and bring more of who we truly are. This is what we are here for and as we heal and grow we inspire others to do the same.

    1. What I love about this comment kathleenbaldwin is that the process of true change in another is the inspiration – and not the ‘final destination’ as there is none, it is a constant development.

      1. yes inspiration and development, not destination. This takes away the effort and the trying which is not the natural way of the body. And we are given opportunity after opportunity as every moment is that opportunity to bring more of ourselves.

  517. “Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive – everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body” . . .

    1. So many everyday, really practical opportunities to build an aware, respectful and loving relationship with our bodies, supporting us to be really fit for life and all it offers.

  518. “…if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” Great question you ask here Rachael, and one that I hadnt considered until I heard Serge Benhayon talk about this. But it makes complete sense – if we make ourselves sick by the way we live, then it must be equally possible to reverse this process, making it possible that ‘Life can be our medicine’.

    1. ….. and walking is a constant that we do every day, therefore, knowing it can either be a healing balm for our body, or the opposite really puts into perspective the power of our walk.

  519. ‘Serge was remarkable in the way he moved and walked from person to person offering one-to-one assistance.’ The love and care for others Serge Benhayon has, is so huge I can feel it just in reading this single line. So much is offered here to be inspired and realign ourselves to the beauty within our movements.

  520. The way we walk reveals everything about the way we live our lives. Seeing and feeling a person walking in their fullness is life changing, as we witness a quality that we instinctively know but abandoned within us. Hence through this awesome modality we are empowered to reclaim our true way again.

  521. Our body knows the truth of who we are and is constantly letting us know when things are ‘out of kilter’ – when we are harming ourselves and creating tension within. Overtime, our body becomes hard, unbalanced and the dis-ease becomes more intense. Yet, when we live in connection with our selves and lovingly take care of our body, listening to the wisdom it’s continuously sharing with us, IT is able to take care of us.

  522. ‘some blame the body for its lack of acceptance of one’s chosen lifestyle and they continue to do what they’ve always done and ‘put up’ with the body’s communications, or silence these communications with ‘medicative means.’’ – this really shows how we allow our mind to assert dominance over our body, viewing it as a means by which we can do all the things we ‘think’ we want to do in life, rather than understanding and appreciating that it is our body that actually supports us to be able to live the absolute divinity that we are all here to bring on this earth.

    1. “it is our body that actually supports us to be able to live the absolute divinity that we are all here to bring on this earth.” Yes Alison, the importance of re-establishing connection with our bodies, loving, respecting and honouring its precious divinity becomes more evident to me.

  523. Very inspiring Rachael…”…everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” Our bodies are wise way beyond our minds, and everything that comes our way is a reflection that either confirms us or offers us an opportunity to grow/evolve.

  524. “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” Yes, this not only makes absolute sense but states a truth that is undeniable. Just today I had a conversation about how much healthier we as a society could be if we just took a little bit more care of ourselves. Every step counts towards or against our health.

    1. Agreed. How long will it actually take before we finally realise it is about our Livingness … what we live on a daily basis that impacts/affects our wellbeing. It is like we live in complete disconnection or disregard from our bodies and make it about function ‘what needs to get done in the day’. There is so much for us to learn, heal and change here.

  525. Walking and the impact it has on our experience and relationship with life, is such a great metaphor of how one step at a time, we are the ones that build the foundation that we take forward with us into our lives.

  526. As simple as it is, the mere notion to bring a quality to the way we walk and not just moving on our two legs from A to B is revolutionary, not new as such, but new for our modern time and in the way it is presented by Serge Benhayon. It reveals to us the amazingness of the body as being a vehicle, not just for movement as such, but quality in movement and thus consciousness in expression.

  527. “The Walking Therapies have taught me much about my movement and the beauty of this is that I can practise it ALL THE TIME” – When we are lost in our heads, confused or feeling ‘out of it’ there is a constant opportunity to come back to ourselves, focus on movement and re-establish a flow through walking.

  528. I think in general there is a lot of emphasis put on valuing our ability to recall and get good grades at school and in education, and very little value in comparison given to the wisdom that we can connect with via our body, thereby taking our body for granted as a consequence of not truly valuing it. Serge Benhayon is helping many people to reconnect with our innate whole body intelligence and appreciate the impact of the quality of relationship that we have with our body has on all areas of life, which is priceless.

  529. Yes, Rachel. What I very much value about the energetic awareness I have developed over the years of attending the Universal Medicine courses, is being able to read people’s movements and know what is going on for them. This is a great gift to support us in relationship and through life.

    1. I have come to realise that it’s not that any of us need to learn how to read people’s movements because this is something that we’re naturally doing all of the time, it’s that we have to stop pretending that we don’t know what’s going on, because we do, we all know very well what’s going on, all of the time but we are utterly invested in keeping the illusion going because who wants to be the one to blow the whistle on us all? Now where’s my whistle………………

  530. Yesterday, I went for a long walk and was exploring how I used my feet when I walked, I became aware of when my big toe came off the ground last and when it didn’t, I realised how often I am disconnected from the way I am walking, as I observed how often I am in my head, completely dismissing what my feet are doing.

  531. To learn to move in a way that is healing for oneself and others when walking – what a gift for humanity.

  532. Walking therapies can seem so understated – how could walking possibly be any support? But what do we do more of in life than anything else? We move, from one place to another all the time and whether we walk or use some other support to move, that movement has a certain quality (stomping around in anger or tiptoeing from contraction and self-doubt) that impacts the body. We are so used to focusing on the big things, the big moments, but we don’t see that it is all the little in between spaces that are most important.

  533. Would love to experience a walking therapy session with Serge although the beauty in walking, as you have presented, is that it is something that we do every day and so can bring presence to our body, and the way we move and listen to what it is telling us about how we have been to that moment in time and by changing that, can move differently.

  534. Im so looking forward to joining a walking therapy session soon and learn how to truly be with me, being all that I can be, and not just for myself but as a reflection for others. Observing Serge Benhayon’s walk is amazing, a true role model for how we can all be, should we choose.

    1. Yes, his walk is amazing. Such presence and grace that clears a path we can all walk if we choose to.

  535. We take so many things for granted, including walking. And we may walk a lot during our day. But how often do we truly stay with ourselves, our bodies, when we walk? The difference I feel when I walk with myself feels very different to when I check out and just walk to get from A to B.

    1. I totally agree Sue. It feels, and is, so much more expansive and with that brings a greater awareness than just of me.

  536. For us not to have put 2 and 2 together is, in itself, an indication that there is something quite sinister going on. Surely we must come to the conclusion that for humanity to not be able to clearly see the link between ‘our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self’, is evidence of the fact that we’re being tampered with. And indeed we are. In fact we are tampered with from the moment we are born and that constant interference never abates because those that are doing the meddling know very well that if we were left alone we would naturally connect and as a result remember that we are the collective body of God.

  537. This is a great observation … ” The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most…” as how often do we find ourselves overriding the impulses of the body and do what we want rather than without taking the body into consideration?… We wouldn’t treat a relationship with a friend in this way… makes you consider what kind of relationship do we have with ourselves / our body? A loving respectful, valuing one or a dictatorship relationship?

    1. A very sobering comment, Johanne, – we wouldn’t treat a relationship with a friend the way we treat our body ….. the way we dominate the body, our ‘soul-mate’ that only ever shares the truth with us and only ever has our best interests at heart.

  538. There is a true committment to our lives when we first commit to acknowledging that possibly we have not been living our life from the strength and absoluteness of our essence within. If we begin from this platform the ability to begin to walk our truth is there in our bodies and is easy to move with.

  539. As we are the creators of our lives the power to change our lives and our lived way is very much in our own hands. We always have a choice.

  540. “… some blame the body for its lack of acceptance of one’s chosen lifestyle” I know I did big time! I never appreciated what a sweet, delicate and very wise body I had, until I began to wise up with the ever loving guidance of Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon. Today is a different matter. If my body starts to falter, then the lifestyle choices go back under the microscope.

  541. When our focus is on the ‘everything else’, the energetic quality that we are living, our flesh and bones are taken care of.

  542. Whenever I am feeling anxious or out of sorts, my go to place for support is to take a walk outside. I’ve always found nature to be incredibly therapeutic, it is unwavering in its beauty and commitment to the absolute divinity it consistently offers us all.

  543. ‘Our walk speaks volumes of how we are ….’ – it only takes us a moment of awareness to clock how we are walking, whether we are rushing, is there a hardness in our body, are we anxious. With this pause, we can simply come back to our body and walk in connection with our selves, feeling our presence in each step. This very simple choice completely changes how we feel, the energetic quality of our walk and the energetic footprint we are leaving behind.

  544. I love watching Serge move, it is mesmerising, it is beautiful, it is harmonising, and it is infectious in terms of me wanting to be able to bring more of that kind of movement into my life!

  545. Walking from point A to point B can so easily become a thing we do in Auto-pilot, and yet this is the very ‘check out’ that can drain us and lead to the fatigue and exhaustion that is rampant in today’s society. Could it really be so simple as to walk in our authority (and naturally so with all the spunk that we are) that then allows the body to be re-fueled in the process and hence bring an endless source of amazing energy to what we do and how we are in life? Hmm, I am liking the simplicity of this revelation…

  546. How crazy to feel how much we take our body for granted – we use it, we abuse it and then we have the audacity to complain when it breaks down (in other words gets sick, or we hurt ourselves). Quite silly really – but when you allow yourself to look at this from this angle, it can help you in stopping this silly game, and hopefully taking more care, respecting and valuing this amazing vehicle that offers us an opportunity to bring through the light that we all are.

  547. This gives so much insight and trust: ”life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically.’

  548. ‘ life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically’. A perfect summary to end the blog on, and very insightful.

  549. Rachael, this is so true; ‘when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more, be it a loved one, material possessions, money or our job.’ I have had this feeling with friends – not having taken the time to nurture the relationship and spend time with them to then have them move away, which has made me realise how much they have meant to me and how much I miss that relationship, I can see the parallels with our bodies, taking it for granted, not treating it with the care and respect and nurturing that it deserves.

  550. I had the pleasure to join a walking therapy session as well- since then my walk is my daily medicine. As can many movements be, but as you said, walking we do many times a day, constantly. It is the movements before a meeting, going to work, meeting a friend etc. that is important , because it determines in what quality we are when we arrive at the event. So imagining walking in your absoluteness, love, openness and surrender before you meet someone- a better preparation you cannot have.

  551. Walking is a huge and often dismissed aspect of our everyday – the movement be it with our legs or a wheelchair, from one point to the next in our day. What determines the quality of us at point B? Is it how we were at point A, or how we moved from A to B? If we are checked out, angry, mulling over an argument as we walk, then it is like we are magnifying it in our body and what we bring to point B.

  552. Perception plays a vital role in how we see and interpret what happens around us.

  553. “Us humans take a lot for granted. We know that, because when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more, be it a loved one, material possessions, money or our job.” This lesson is one I am learning right now. I am reminded about the great gift of non-attachment and when this occurs in a person’s life, rather than see it as a bad thing, I feel to see it as a blessing. The next step is to ask your soul “What is next?” Then take time to listen and feel within deeply to allow the next movement of your life to be revealed to you.

  554. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most. The way we use it, abuse it, make it do all sorts of extreme activities, diets, social adventures and just as commonly, letting the body stagnate in the comfort of inactivity by doing nothing at all!” We’ve all tried these, I know I have, and tried to blame the body for its lack of acceptance of my lifestyle. In my experience, dis-ease and ill health always follow yet it is absolutely crystal clear now that life, every aspect of it, is indeed medicine.

  555. Yes we do take our bodies for granted and they patiently endure our abuse and disregard, clearing when necessary and messaging us frequently. When we work with our bodies, building a respectful, listening and honouring relationship with them, we have the finest guide and ally that we could wish for to support our navigation through life.

  556. Walking is an important part of our day and today I was reminded that so is sitting – how gently do we sit on a chair, how gently do we climb into our car? It was a good call, I tend to shove my legs in and out of the car but more recently I’ve become aware again of doing it gently. And instead of looping down on the sofa, arranging the cushions so that they support me before gently lowering myself down.

  557. The fact we can heal ourselves by the way we walk, is so supportive because once we know what to do, we can practice it in our every day lives. I have watched the flow of Serge Benhayon when he walks, to learn this will be phenomenal.

  558. We are all walking machines either fuelled by our emotions or our essence depending the way we have moved throughout

  559. “…everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body” – yes and as I found myself by not really being fully connected with my body, appreciating and respecting it … that when such attention is missing, life and life’s quality as we experience it become shortened, even depressing. Living life in respectful connection with the wonder of the body has brought rejuvenation and with that zest for life.

  560. It can be so easy to underestimate the power of movement on health and wellbeing. It is only since attending the presentations of Serge Benhayon and applying what has been taught, that I have felt for myself the enormity of what has been shared. My body shows me what my mind wouldn’t accept as being possible.

  561. Love this Rachael, and of course there is also that expression ‘walking the talk’. There is no question that our livingness is our most powerful healing tool.

  562. “what if no one can actually do the healing for us?” now that’s a cracking question and one that very few people want to know the answer to, let alone explore. As if we look at life and ask what is the purpose of life and what is our role in our health and healing, then we can easily ignore the fact that we are central to that, the way we live either supports us and others or erodes us and others.

    1. Yep, we are the main character in our very own movie, called life. If there are any chapters we do not like, we can always take stock, reflect, make different choices to heal the body (rather than abuse it), we simply re-write the script.

  563. Well said – “Serge Benhayon does human very well”. Serge expresses, moves and acts from divinity, with grace and alignment to the All and to God and The Masters. This then flows into his everyday in a way that is totally transparent, obviously different to the dross and laboured ways of existence and an inspiration for all and sundry, at present and for aeons to come.

  564. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” Rachel that is really worth it to be more aware of – thank you for sharing your experience with your walking session.

    1. Awesome quote you have picked out here Esther – and a powerful one indeed that really brings is back to the core of what really matters – the body in all its sensitivity, feeling and expression: a true gift and intelligence combined in one!

    2. And it is the body that is with us for every step, every thought, every action, every situation in life. So it makes complete sense to honour and care for our bodies especially with how we move them.

  565. Given how much we all walk during our day, week, month, year, there is a real incentive for us to understand how to walk in the fullness of who we are, in connection with our soul and the universe. For, when we are not, we are harming our self. We either walk in love, or in harm.

  566. ‘everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body’ – I love this truth Rachel. We really do seem to have things completely the wrong way around. Generally, our perception is that we are well, unless we are sick or injured in some way. When in fact, mostly, we are already living in a way which is not supporting us to live the truth of who we are, so we are already battling our innate natural flow, causing many of us to resort to our own form of medication just to get by; food, exercise, drugs, work, whatever it is. We are living in a very compromised way and it’s only a matter of time before we succumb to an injury or illness, forcing us to have a stop moment – an opportunity to reflect on what is truly going on.

  567. ‘But what if no one can actually do the healing for us? What if they can only inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing what has been erroneously lived?’ – we have been given free will for us to be able to discern what feels right for us, to learn from our choices and discover where truth lies and where is does not. It makes sense that in order for us to truly heal, we must first unearth the root cause of our dis-ease and lovingly deepen our self-care to support us in not repeating the same pattern, but rather, make different choices moving forward. This learning is what activates our own healing process, allowing our body to do what it is always trying to do, which is to restore harmony within.

  568. ‘The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ – Beautifully said Rachael – makes much sense and the only way to find out is to actually live the change that we want to see.

  569. The habit we humans have of taking things for granted suggests a lack of appreciation on many levels. It shows we don’t appreciate things like being able to walk until it is taken away through illness or injury. Very few of us actually enjoy each step we take, as we are so lost in our heads thinking about what’s next or where we are going. It also shows that we only appreciate our body for what it functionally does for us, rather than getting to know and appreciate the body as a vehicle for our soul, giving us the ability to feel the divine order in the universe.

  570. The quality of our movements can change the quality of our thoughts… for example, when our thoughts are negative, moving our bodies/changing positions, will bring us back to a more positive way.

  571. Movement is so important, but more importantly, it is the quality we move in that truly affects us and everyone around us.

    1. Paula I love this, i totally agree yet before Universal Medicine I didn’t understand it at all, the quality of ourselves and our energy is everything. Its how we move from our heart that really helps us heal vs moving from the mind and being caught up in every drama under the sun.

      1. This is beautiful DN…”Its how we move from our heart that really helps us heal…” and something I will take with me into my daily living – thank you.

  572. This is brilliant: “You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!” – and what it reveals is a deep inspiration for us all in realizing that we are so much more than human, and yet we do need to do the human thing, so we might as well do it with the more than human part of ourselves to spunk things up! 🙂

  573. Awesome sharing Rachael – I love the way you write and how you share such simple truths with the greatest appreciation for all that it delivers for each and every one of us!

  574. I used to walk with my shoulders slightly hunched over from a very young age. Now I walk more upright, my shoulders are more open and relaxed, as a result I feel amazing. Since I attended the Walking Therapy session the quality of my walk has hugely improved and I can feel the difference when I walk disconnected to my body compared to walking fully aware and connected to my body.

  575. We are here to steer our vehicle lovingly – not check out and daydream looking at the scenery. We might like our cars to be automated but being in our body is one thing we are not able to out source. Thank you Rachael.

  576. So much of what Serge shares is so simple. It is embracing the simplicity and surrendering to love.

  577. Not only do we have to walk our walk but we have to live our entire lives as a statement of who we know ourselves to be. We have to constantly claim ourselves as being living sons of God, not imagined or hoped for, but claimed in our bodies.

  578. The body gets a big hit, it receives our choices how we live, and has to adapt and cope with how we have been living. It constantly gives us messages of correction to listen to, so the way we live life can be the healer.

  579. Having gained the understanding of how every movement magnifies the energy we are in, shows me the importance of being aware of my movements. Not only if my legs feel heavy or tired but the energetic quality in which I move and leave my imprints behind.

  580. There is so much more to movement then I ever realised before connecting to my body. I never was aware of the difference in quality in which I can move but now that I am it makes absolute sense to have walking therapies.

  581. ‘You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!’
So true, he does reflect we are not from here, yet we live here in a human body and we can return to our divine origin.

  582. Serge Benhayon has turned life into a playground of opportunity, growth and learning – this is the evolutionary school we are all so blessed to belong to.

  583. It is amazing how much we take our bodies for granted. We rely on our function to get by our abusive habits, until they catch up with us

  584. I love the fact that this flips the script of life on it’s head. Instead of being dull, boring and bringing us down it can be something that actually supports our growth and development, in other words, Evolution.

    1. Great point about how we are used to seeing the lack of stimulation as dull and boring. On the contrary – Simplicity is the new black.

  585. This modality clearly exposes that we don’t automatically walk the power of our essence. So is it time to ask? What do we walk if we are not walking the power of our essence?

  586. There is nothing grander than to walk at one with another. There is total transparency an openness and understanding that surpasses anything I have ever before felt. What Serge Benhayon has opened through the Walking Therapy Modality is a deep confirmation that we can physically feel with every step we take.

    1. It sure is Carmel – its like chalk and cheese. Yet when we start feeling down, it can feel like a mountain to climb up, yet it really is as simple as changing the way we move.

  587. The Walking Therapies have had a huge impact on how I am at work. I walk up and down corridors all day and used to get super tired by the end of the day. This no longer happens after being supported by Serge Benhayon to connect more deeply with my body and particularly to my spine and allow the connection to move me. I no longer get tired and actually feel more energized by the end of my shift.

    1. Amazing to read Mary-Louise! This shows that the way we walk can be a way to regenerate us, or a way to deplete us!

  588. I’ve not experienced the Walking Therapies yet but they sound amazing, and I’ve noticed myself how important how we walk is and that how we walk can actually shift or compound things in our body. I had an appointment with a Podiatrist this week and it showed that the way I walked collapsed my right ankle in putting much more pressure than normal on my foot. Once it was pointed out it was super obvious – but what I found fascinating was the Podiatrist explained if we walk a certain way the body BECOMES that, so it’s simply about retraining the body by walking correctly. It really opened my eyes to the intricate science of walking and how perfectly designed our feet are – and that the way we choose to walk can enormously effect our body.

  589. Thank you Rachael for sharing your experience, when we truly let go and walk our walk, we realise how much our body is configured to walk in our beliefs or thoughts, and how freeing it is to be us, to walk and address life in the quality we are naturally born with.

  590. Love this Rachel, what an awesome reminder for me this morning that is not about getting from A to B, but in fact the quality in which I move between these points.
Our movements indeed have ability to connect us to the universe and all that that brings.

  591. Until I met Serge Benhayon, I hadn’t appreciated the depths of wisdom that the body holds and communicates. By bringing greater awareness to the body we can unlock this untapped wisdom and live life from a whole different perspective.

  592. I love this, Rachel – “everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” When we accept this as a truth everything matters…in the quality of how we breathe and move in each moment.

    1. The part you highlighted Janet is brilliant. When we fully embrace this way of healing through connecting to our body as well as taking responsibility for everything in life, this means opportunities for healing are always constantly being offered.

  593. This is so beautiful Rachel ‘when we are actually connected to our body and not caught in the mind we can FEEL the level of connection that our bodies have with everything else in life.’ Walking is something that we do multiple times a day and it is awesome to shift our awareness and connect back to our bodies every time we move and surrender to the healing and inner knowing that is on offer when we allow it.

  594. Rachael, there is often a picture of healing as being hands on healing in a clinic, what you are sharing here is very empowering and shows us that we can heal in every moment of the day by how we move and how we go about our daily tasks – so simple and practical; ‘Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive’, ‘These are everyday life activities, many of which we take for granted, not realising the value in these somewhat basic tasks.’

    1. What Rachael has so beautifully demonstrated is that healing happens in connection, regardless of what it is that we are doing. And that is made possible by the fact that God is ever present inside of us and therefore always available to be re-connected to. He is never not there.

  595. Serge Benhayon is the man who is restoring the common sense to our lives with astounding results. I always knew I knew but never realised just how much my daily choices were hurting my body and draining my vitality. Learning how to remain connected to my body throughout my day has been both revolutionary and evolutionary and now we are offered the simplest medicine in the world, to walk our selves back to health.

    1. Brilliant Rowena, beautiful appreciation and comment. I am really beginning to understand that life is medicine. What you’ve shared is very empowering and it reminds me that there are many ways we can heal our body and walking is one of them. This part is the ultimate reminder that healing is our responsibility and it is very much part of our everyday life, ‘….we are offered the simplest medicine in the world, to walk our selves back to health.’

  596. What if the body had its own brain? Currently, the standard one that came from the factory has an override switch. The current mind cant; do, go, see, smell or feel without the body! So, why do we go on holiday and leave the mind in charge?

  597. Great blog Rachel, as from your blog we get to see and recognise that walking is not just the practical but it is also a way to reconnect with our body, a way to bring awareness and thus healing at any time.

    1. ‘So is there something in our walk that can actually have a very healing and medicinal quality for our body?’ A great question to ask Rachel and a great summation as to why Johanne. Through Universal Medicine, we are being given a wonderful opportunity, not only to take responsibility for our health but are being given the tools to do it ever so simply.

  598. The body is amazing, we can use it to come back to ourselves always no matter what happens, it is such a go to we are blessed with. Our movements, our voice, our quality, everything we can use.

  599. It’s true, it’s usually when we are physically incapacited to some degree that we start to value our body.

  600. Movement is such a game changer! As you say, we know that, we have expressions that remind us that if we move our body we will change the configuration of what we are caught in and we will express in a different way. I love that Walking Therapies is not wizz bang but bringing us back to the simplicity of walking our selves in full.

  601. ‘I felt more confident, more connected to myself and more connected to those around me and afar.’ – so true, when I am walking with me, feeling the open-ness of my whole body, full of the love, I’m also very aware of those around me and I particularly notice how many people have a gentle smile on their faces, as though our bodies are communicating silently together.

  602. ‘The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’ – absolutely, so perhaps the first question is for us to connect back with our gorgeous selves and get honest about how we are choosing to live, to start listening to the wisdom our bodies constantly share with us and determine what is supporting us, what isn’t and where we need to make some changes.

  603. I find it fascinating that something as simple as walking can have such a huge effect on our bodies and holds the key to how we are in life. How many of us I wonder appreciate the affect we have on the earth when we walk. We seem to have forgotten just how impactful we are, because we have forgotten who we are.

  604. Wonderful reminder that all in life is either healing or it is harming. What if I were to live this in my day in this full awareness. Steps walked in a way that heals are anything but mundane, they are the foundation which can be called upon to support others at any given time.

  605. ‘…when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more…’ I remember when a friend was talking about a group coming to an end where one member expressed how sad they felt, that actually the sadness was because of their not fully appreciating the group when it was meeting up. There was a holding back that this person regretted. This really struck me as it can be applied to the whole of life. The end of life’s regrets are never about I shouldn’t have told that person how much I loved them, they are the opposite. The not going for it (expressing all that’s there) irrespective of outcome. This has always supported me to appreciate everyone I’m with but I know there’s more. There’s appreciating me, appreciating life to the full.

  606. Beautiful Rachel, from the way you write I get to feel the connection that is there, to the universe through the body.

  607. With waking therapies, you don’t need to ‘make time’ to get to the gym or see a practitioner. You are doing it most of the day! And our walk can either be ingraining a quality that harms our body further or begins to heal us. I think of the saying, ‘You are what you eat’ and broaden it to, ‘You are what you walk’. If you walk around distracted, stressed, grumpy, or off in a spiritual fairy land, that will be what your body receives and stores.

    1. Yes, the key is that we can do much better than that, all of the time.

  608. Energy is moving us constantly, not only is it moving our bodies but it is moving our thoughts and moving our mouths. Therefore the key to life is to choose which of the two energies that are available to us, do we want to impulse us. One source will keep us forever roaming around outside of ourselves and the other will take our hand and lead us home. The key to choosing which energy we want, is to consciously choose the way that we move (body/thoughts/speech) as much as possible.

  609. Walking is something we can not escape, it is like breathing. We have to do it and when we have learnt the true power of walking with being connected, which is the same as our focus on our breathe, then all our other movements start to align to the essence; the inner-most heart.

  610. I know that when I walk with my shoulders rolled forward I feel really depressed. Drop my shoulders back and relaxed I have more space in my lungs and chest and it feels like vitality returns to my body. No one that I know other than Serge Benhayon is teaching about how healing our movements can be.

    1. Totally agree, Leigh, walking with my shoulders rolled in feels as though I have a heavy back pack weighing me down from all the things I’ve chosen to take on which do not belong in my body, as I trudge along I’m energetically keeping everyone away. The gentle movement of rolling my shoulders back changes everything, my back straightens, my whole body feels lighter and becomes taller and more open, I feel as though I am greeting everyone who passes, even if no words are exchanged.

  611. I’ve found it super interesting that as a Kid I would change how I walked so that I could fit in, walk to be like another person, someone I wanted to be. Over the years now I’ve started to walk more for me and am really looking forward to what this modality offers as the sharing you’ve provided is very inspiring.

  612. We do take our bodies for granted. If we were suddenly not able to walk we would regret every single moment that we did not do so with care and presence. Valuing our walk! Now that is something we can take everywhere we go…

  613. Our bodies are noticing what other people’s bodies are communicating all of the time, even if we are not consciously aware of it. When we see someone walking their own walk (being with themselves as they walk as opposed to lost in thought ) then it is a reminder for us to do the same.

    1. That communication is quite loud too when we choose to be aware of it. The body always clocks the communication, but our awareness is often so distracted by ‘other things’ that we choose to put our bodies’ communication down the list of priorities. That is till an outside event, person or situation makes it very clear we should have been listening!

  614. “By taking on the small adjustments that Serge offered to me, my body completely shifted and my walk changed in a big way”
Returning to our heightened sense of awareness, listening and observing the details of our movements and making simple small adjustments is the game changing medicine that will one day be Universally known.

  615. ‘The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?’

Andolutely – as much as we know what is not loving for our bodies, we know how to take care of them.

    1. In fact we are experts in what is good and true for us, otherwise we would not exactly know and do the exact opposite. When we sabotage us, we know exactly what choices need to be made. Our mind loves complexity, but in truth nothing is complex. It is just a simple choice to act otherwise- as the expert.

  616. We have a natural ability to heal ourselves yet often we don’t realise the amazingness of the body, as we have to change the way we live in order that our body lives from its natural quality.

  617. Whilst I haven’t done any walking therapy, I have experienced getting off a healing table and clocking how my walk has changed. This has felt so utterly profound because my foundation for life (even if it is just for a short while) has shifted and I have appreciated the deeper flow and awareness it has brought. To have tools to do this every day is a huge blessing!

  618. Walking therapies ‘Basic and simple’ yet profound! And it does not cost us anything or is looking outside of ourselves to be fixed, we can come back to who we truly are simply by walking and our movements. How cool is that! ✨

  619. “some blame the body for its lack of acceptance of one’s chosen lifestyle” – This is very true, that we get frustrated with our body not keeping up, or allowing us to do the things we want to do e.g. overeating, having a disregarding rhythm etc., without considering the body as a marker for how we should be looking after ourselves in the first place.

  620. I love the logic here, Rachel. If we have created our ills through unloving movements then our greatest medicine is surely therefore to take responsibility to move in a more loving way…simple truth we cannot deny!

  621. Rachael, this is so true; ‘We can tell by watching someone walking down the street whether they are well in themselves, healthy, confident, shy, and insecure or being himself or herself’, reading this makes me realise how much we do notice if someone is dragging their feet, has their head down, or with young children, how it looks like they are bouncing along because they are so light and walk so joyfully. Walks can be so different and from what I observe do show how someone is in themselves.

  622. We treat life like a race with momentary pit stops ‘to get healthy’. But if the way we live determines our vitality, then this dynamic will never result in true lasting change. The care isn’t needed in the pit stop only, but in every curve and bend of the track. Then any stop could be a moment to celebrate and go deeper rather than patch up our gears. Thanks Rachael.

  623. It makes absolute sense to me that how we do life either harms or heals, how we are in each and every moment has an impact on our body in one way or another. Simply put, to let go of the love for self, we abuse self, to walk in the absolute love that we know we are, is medicine in the true sense of the word.

  624. We are our own healers. A walk with someone when feeling lethargic and time spent with others was the exact medicine needed.

  625. “true healing happens in our everyday, in our walking, in our talking, in the way that we move.” another droplet of wisdom. Thank you,

  626. As walking is an activity that is innate and intrinsic to our way of being, it is no wonder it is a clear reflection of our state of being and with true reading of the reflection is the powerful tool for healing that Serge Benhayon is bringing forward.

  627. “…everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.” Keep coming back to this sentence, as it cannot be emphasised enough. What we do everyday affects every single cell in our bodies and therein lie the answer to all our woes. Staying present with all my cells is an on going learning and what a massive God send Serge Benhayon is for enabling us to come back to our bodies and reclaim the quality of our walk, an activity we so often do without even thinking about it.

  628. “By taking on the small adjustments that Serge offered to me, my body completely shifted and my walk changed in a big way” what an incredible transformation from the support of how we move and walk to become more and more of whom we are. The most amazing modality.

  629. It just makes so much sense to look after ourselves to the level that is shared here. Anything that can keep us fit for life and curb the ever rising trend of illness and disease throughout humanity is medicine for all.

  630. The way we walk is a science in itself, and the introduction of the walking therapy sessions by Serge Benhayon allows one to connect more deeply to what may or not be moving us. Not simply the movements but the energy behind those movements.

  631. It is very powerful to connect to the quality of energy moving the body. What we are walking is an accumulation of all the previous steps we have taken and the movements we have made, which when read brings an understanding of what is possible…and what gets in the way of us living our full potential. I loved the walking therapy session I attended, I could feel the power of purpose that we can bring to our movements in a whole new light…embodied.

  632. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all” and we all know that from experience when we wake up after we have allowed our mind to overrule our feelings and have a ‘ride’ with the body to have its pleasures that ultimately the body is suffering from in one way or another.

  633. It is remarkable to come to this understanding, that something that we have been doing everyday for all our lives (bar maybe the first 12 to 18 months) has such a profound effect on our overall health and wellbeing when done in full connection to who we are, but up unitl now, I for one had not appreciated the full significance of what is on offer from this simple movement that we almost all do, everyday.

  634. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.’” . . . says it all to me. Great sharing Rachael.

  635. For most of us there are activities we do every day that we are not present with, as you say, just like walking, breathing, eating, sleeping etc. but if we were aware and moving in a quality of connection with ourselves can actually be healing. That’s huge….and it’s free and completely up to us. What an amazing healing and opportunity the walking therapies offer to bring back our natural way of moving through life. I will definitely be booking in for a session when I can.

  636. It’s deeply simple and truly revolutionary but in fact something many of us have forgotten that how we live, how we walk affects how we are and to have something as simple as Walking Therapies to support us to live more us connected to our bodies is such a gift. Thank you Serge Benhayon.

  637. ‘Watching him move was inspirational in itself, as the level of love, grace and speed he moved with spoke deeply of the way he lives his life and what he is connected to on an everyday level. ‘ His walk is amazing. It reflects what we can all walk with if we align to the flow of the universe and allow that to express through us. Incredibly powerful and super tender, caring and honouring of everyone and everything.

  638. When my daughter comes home from school we often go for a walk which I feel really allows her to ‘walk off’ or let go of her day.

  639. The more I don’t take my body for granted and deeply listen and honour what I am feeling, what my body is feeling, at ease, relaxed and energised. So simple yet the very thing we are not really taught or shown, to listen to what our bodies are communicating to us.

  640. Serge Benhayon is very generous in the way that he gives to each person every aspect o himself, unreservedly, so that it may be known by everyone that we are all so much greater than what life is here on earth.

  641. ‘… everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.’ – love this reminder to not only be aware of the quality of my movements – but to treasure the ever deepening relationship with myself and the continuous opportunity to surrender and allow more of myself to be shared with everyone.

  642. So true Rachael, when we are in our minds, we are thinking (usually) of ourselves and when we are in our bodies, we are much more connected to everyone else around us. And that does not mean that we take everything/everyone else in, it means we can feel it and be aware of it. observe it but not absorb it. Aah as I write that I can feel where I have been absorbing stuff – thanks!

  643. This is an awesome blog and I love the reminder too Jane. Life would be very different and it is never too late to start appreciating our body, treasure it, take deep care of it and honour what it is communicating to us.

  644. It is a monumental shift from the head into the body Rachel “no longer was I stuck in my head, I was in the presence and total enjoyment of my own movement and flow. I felt more confident, more connected to myself and more connected to those around me and afar.”

  645. Rachael, the part you shared about how our body is taken for granted the most is so true. But when we stop for a moment to feel how amazing, delicate, precious, powerful and intelligent our body is, we may start to treat it very differently and start to listen to its messages more instead of ignoring them.

  646. In general we take our bodies for granted and just expect them to carry on come what may. I know I had no understanding for most of my life how amazing, precious and divine my body is, ‘what has been lived’ didn’t even come into it. Over the years I’ve become aware of my body, how I move and treat it. Since then I’ve felt much easier in my body, less aches and pains and have an early warning system that tells me what’s going on and what needs to change. Thank you Universal Medicine for rekindling my relationship with my body.

  647. We can hold so much tension in our bodies and yet the slightest adjustment to how we are sitting, how we move and how we walk can make an enormous difference to how we feel about ourselves and the quality we then bring to the world.

  648. “The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.” We would do so well to learn and understand this from a young age.

  649. “Walking, breathing, eating, our relationships, our work, our study, the way we move, how we drive, everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body”. yes indeed Rachael because what has happened is that we have got caught up in what we are doing and lost sight of how we are being whilst we are doing whatever it is that we are doing. Our focus has become almost fixated on the activity rather than how we are whilst in that activity. And basically what everything boils down to in truth is whether or not we are with God whilst in activity/inactivity or not. And although ‘being with God’ might sound like a crazy concept, it’s actually the simple process of giving the body over as a portal through which God has easy access, whilst we go about our daily activities. Energy is constantly coming through us whether we like it or not and life is about returning to being the portals of God that we originally all were.

  650. For many of us the unfortunate thing about becoming unwell is that rather than understand it as a sign that we need to listen to our bodies more and treat our bodies with more loving care, we actually start to abuse them more by doggedly following ideas that we have about health. Often we use getting sick as a catalyst to starting intense exercise or a radical diet and we launch ourselves into these things without consulting the body as to whether or not the body would actually benefit from them.

  651. ‘The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.’ Thank you for this very powerful reminder, Rachel.

  652. Yes ‘ We know when we are nervous, tense or stressed because the breath changes and gets fast and shallow. We can tell by watching someone walking down the street whether they are well in themselves, healthy, confident, shy, and insecure or being himself or herself. We know when someone is in a relationship, be it family, friends or partners, that isn’t doing so well and we can see that disharmony in their body by how they talk, breathe, sit, stand and walk’.
The energy we have chosen is what is magnified in our body with every ongoing movement. We can choose to harmoniously make any movement and hence consciously select the type of energy we align to and magnify in our body in that moment.

  653. I’ve always loved walking, the only problem is that most of life during my walks I was totally in my head! Now that I am learning to be with my body when I walk, it feels entirely different. I feel more connected with my body, not to mention the ground I walk on – thank you Rachel for sharing your experience of walking therapy with Serge Benhayon, what a wonderful gift you brought to yourself, your body and the earth beneath your feet.

  654. Profound and thought provoking…’if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?…”

  655. Racheal, this is a really inspiring way to view life..”life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically.” I can feel a depth where this can take us if we allow it, when we tune into the body as we move.

  656. Another amazingly supportive tool offered by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine, so we can live with more connection and in our fullness every day and with every step.

  657. “life is a constant instrument to express” – This is gorgeous Rachael, and the whole article is a tribute to the fact that we don’t need to ‘find ourselves’ or our walk but this is something natural to who we are, so all we need to do is connect.

  658. Walking in our power has the potential to change so much for oursleves and for everyone else. It is extraordinary as to what is possible when we walk in connection to who we are.

  659. Wowsa, talk about appreciating the simple things in life. There is so much offered here which I look forward to re-reading.

  660. Knowing that absolutely everything we do in life is either healing or harming ourselves, takes our responsibility to another level. I so love the sound of these walking therapies.

  661. ‘Walking our walk’ could bring up images of putting something on – deciding on a walk and then acting it. But ‘walking our walk’ actually means the opposite. It means dropping any masks or facades, or anything we have taken on that we think we ‘should’ be. It means accepting and appreciating and honouring who we truly are underneath all the roles we have chosen to walk in. It means surrendering to our natural walk and allowing the ease of this instead of a trying. If we drop everything we have believed that we ‘should’ be, then what is left? Our natural selves and therefore our natural walk.

  662. It all comes back to the understanding that all either heals or harms. There is no in between bits here. What we do either heals or harms and harm does not have to be pain-full necessarily. It could be as small as walking in contraction without with your heart open to others. That harms us enormously on how we are with ourselves and with all others.

  663. The walking therapy sounds amazing Rachel, I’m really looking forward to doing this when it comes to the UK. I have watched/observed Serge Benhayon walking and have learnt so much just from this and now we have the walking therapy too.

  664. We cannot heal others as we may like to think we can. We cannot even truly help them. Ultimately each person is responsible for their own well-being and their own healing. Rather than seeing this as a harsh reality it is in fact very empowering – for if we take the reigns in our own hands and take the steps for ourselves by living, breathing and moving in a way that is respectful, honouring and healing to ourselves, others and the planet, we cannot but feel empowered by the choices we make. No-one else can do this for us. Our power and healing is in the choice of how we move through life.

  665. In the past I have always tried to be right, to get it right, and to do it right and there is a huge difference in my body when I let go of being right and simply walk Truth. My whole posture changes, because I am walking from my body and not from my busy brain that is always focused elsewhere. Feeling truth is very different from right and wrong.

  666. No one else and no where else has presented truth like Serge Benhayon. Moving in a quality of presence with conscious presence and gentleness has transformed the way my body feels experientially. It’s a simply truth that changes lives.

  667. Love the fact, but it kinda scares me at the same time, that it’s in every moment that there’s a choice. Not just the ‘big’ ones.

  668. “There are sayings like ‘take a walk’ if someone is out of control, or ‘walk it off’ if they need space to come back to themselves” – yes and also – “heavy footed” or “spring in their step” – so many sayings to confirm the extent to which we are reading the (effect of) energy that’s inside the body creating the quality of one’s movement and expression.

  669. “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.” I had not thought of it in this way, yet it so true. It is like the fact that we cannot see our own nose without the help of a mirror.

  670. Walking allows so much to be felt and released when we bring focus to an awareness of our body.

  671. “You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!” And therein lies the special grace of Serge Benhayon, a man who reflects to us all our divinity and grace yet walks the same life we do, warts and all. There is so much power in his walk, because he brings all of himself to it, nothing is allowed to wander into the next moment, or the task ahead, or what just happened, just 100% present with his body in every step.

  672. Rachel, I was in a swim session recently and when I swam I could feel me in the pool, but there was more I could feel a connection to everyone else in the pool, it was the one time I dropped my guard and allowed myself to feel everything. I cannot say I have completely dropped my guard with the world, but I now have a marker of what life could be like should I choose to do so.

    1. Thank you, Mary, I loved reading your comment this morning, something for you to truly treasure.

  673. Serge has never told anyone how they should live! He presents to everyone how he lives and allows us to see and feel what we have been blind to, the amazing body we occupy.

    1. This is such a powerful form of expression, to be consistently reflecting the truth of who we are through our livingness for everyone to feel and know that there is another way to live. Whether our minds register or not, our bodies feel the truth of what is being shared.

    2. How crucial is that true reflection, to inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing

  674. This inspires me to feel deeper when I move my body, to feel a deeper intimacy with myself.

  675. It could be said that we move our way back to wisdom, power, and love, and to our return to our soul and to God. This is very different to the current beliefs of prayer, meditation, chanting, intellectual knowledge, religious study, sacrifice, good deeds, celibacy, etc, all to get ‘close’ to God. Said with all respect, despite these beliefs of the way to return to God we are still a world that is Godless and loveless. It’s absolutely time to move with the energy of God, and express all that we each are, as part of God in our every movement. Let’s get a move on 🙂

  676. Thank you Rachael, this is beautifully expressed, please keep writing! Everything, including our walk can be an activity to express who we truly are, very healing and supportive for ourselves and others.

  677. Indeed, there are no insignificant moments if we consider that everything has an energetic quality behind it, one that ripples out affecting both ourselves and everyone around us too.

  678. How very beautiful it is to know that we can support our body to heal through the way we choose to walk –
something so simple and tangible and accessible to anyone who walks in their day.

  679. Understanding that every movement we make is either healing or harming us, re-aligns us with the purpose of why we are here.

  680. ‘Us humans take a lot for granted. We know that, because when something is taken away we mourn it and regret the fact that we didn’t treasure it more ….’ in our arrogance, we often do not treasure the preciousness of our body and the infinite wisdom it has to share with us until it’s too late. In so doing, we are reducing our divinity which we are here to live and share with each other.

  681. Brilliant Blog and so relatable with so many ‘but of course’ moments like ‘It’s obvious, yet we haven’t really put two and two together and figured out the link between our living way, true wellbeing and sense of self.’ I haven’t yet experience Walking Therapies with Serge but I really really hope he will do this in the UK at some point.

  682. ‘What if they can only inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing what has been erroneously lived?’ So often we take ourselves to a healer or to the doctor wanting them to take away our symptoms without taking responsibility for what caused the ill in the first place. It is a huge shift in consciousness to admit that we cause our own illness and disease. But what of genetic inheritance, I may hear you cry? Is it possible that we ‘inherit’ diseases because we need to break deeply held patterns in the body that we have lived with, not just in this lifetime but in many more?

  683. I watched an episode of ‘Australian Story’ last night about a young man who became a quadriplegic, and at the end it showed him in a wheelchair alongside another quadriplegic who was upright and walking using some of the latest technology. The other man said to the one in the wheelchair, it is amazing just to be upright.

In that moment, I realised how much I take/took my body for granted. So you are so right Rachael, it is only when we lose something, that we realise its full preciousness. Last night and reading this today are timely reminders of the preciousness of our bodies and to fully appreciate mine.

  684. ‘life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body…’ this in it self is huge if lived and then to add ‘and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically,’ is so grand.

I had never considered life in this way, having lived life under the belief of needing to protect myself against it. This line opens up a new way of being, fully appreciating life isn’t to blame, but that it is my protection that harms across the board. It feels like I’d be picking up this instrument and learning to play it in this way is a new beginning, but I can feel how doing so from such a connection can only bring a grace and harmony to the world.

  685. Rachael when you shared that we ‘silence these communications with ‘medicative means’, when referring to what we do when our bodies attempt to ‘show signs of dis-ease and ill health’, it made me wonder if we haven’t made most of life about silencing our body’s attempts to alert us to what’s going on. The absent minded way that we eat, the fact that we have normalised and glamorised the use of alcohol, the way that we choose to numb ourselves in relationships, in fact pretty much everything that you can think of has the effect of silencing the body. And we do this until the strangled cries of the body can no longer be muffled and then we wail that life isn’t fair.

  686. Generally the way that we use our bodies is also the way that we abuse them as well. The key therefore is to make the way that we use our bodies also be the way that we honour them as well.

  687. Rachael I wonder if it is actually that we take a lot for granted or more that we are disengaged from life. Our disengagement from life stems from the fact that we are disengaged from ourselves, which results in us sort of sleep walking our way through life. Then, when something happens like losing our job or someone dying, we are momentarily woken up from our slumber, only nod off again as soon as the intensity of the situation has worn off. By being in an active relationship with ourselves, we activate our relationship with life and hey presto life becomes a very rich, multidimensional interactive experience.

  688. Considering how much of my life is spent walking, it’s quite an interesting point that I’ve never, before hearing of Universal Medicine’s Walking Therapies, considered the effect of walking in certain ways on my health.

  689. I have attended the Walking Therapies too and I have had very similar experiences as you Rachael. Now I am so much more aware of the quality of my walk and when I drift off into my thoughts, I can easily bring the connection back to my body.

  690. ‘You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!’ His reflection what ever he does is heavenly and at the same time there is no one on earth who has mastered living on earth more than Serge Benhayon has and that’s what we see and feel too.

  691. So great that you are busting the myth here that healing is something that is confined to a clinic room and that every movement we make in our lives has the potential to offer healing.

    1. Yes Andrew… we can offer our body healing in any moment. I can remember staying in discomfort, tension and anxiety until I had an appointment with the practitioner believing that they were the only ones to heal me. It wasn’t any surprise that the same issues would come around time and time again. Universal Medicine from the very start reminded me that we are the only ones that can heal ourselves. This changed my life forever.

  692. It is true, we can tell so much from how someone moves, and whether we have noticed or not we can read people’s movements, especially those who are close to us. How often do we look at a family member and just know that they are out of sorts or something is worrying them?

  693. It was interesting sitting and observing and enjoying a school play from the highest point in a theatre last night. Being far more aware of my own movements has deepened awareness as to how others are moving (without judgement). It was interesting to see how a few of the students were really at home in presenting their role and moved around in command of themselves (and the stage) whilst others remained very timid and held back in their movements, that also affected the quality of their speech presentation.

  694. Love your sharing Rachel, about walking, about being inspired by Serge Benhayon and your statement …”life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically…”

  695. Rachael, thank you for sharing, it’s amazingly simple yet so powerful to look at our walk, how we walk and the care we take with our walk. The difference of when I walk in my head, thinking about past or future compared to being present and walking with me in the moment feeling me and the universe as one.

  696. The Walking Therapies showed me how much I have dishonoured my Light and how simple it is to walk all that I am and, how much I have held this back. It was extra-ordinary, terrific! And now an absolute blessing every time I walk!

    1. Thank you Rik, we can say a blessed life is at our toe-tips if we choose to walk this in full.

  697. Love it Rachael, and what I love the most is how you have made it very clear that true healing happens in our everyday, in our walking, in our talking, in the way that we move. No need to crawl up thousands of steps in Tibet, or have our feet washed by some guru that professes to be from some particular lineage, we simply need to re-connect to ourselves through our bodies and live our lives. As if God wouldn’t make true healing simple and equally available to all!

  698. Moving the body according to what it knows as its truth is not something our mind can tell us to do. I have not had an opportunity to take part in the Walking Therapy yet, but I can imagine how powerful it might be to physically walk alongside with the particles that are in full alignment in movement.

  699. So true – we actually do know so much, yet when we look at the way we live, it doesn’t quite look that way.

  700. “….life is a constant instrument to express and deepen the relationship with the body and the connection this carries to the greater, grander aspects of life energetically.” Beautifully expressed Rachel. Understanding that life is an instrument, brings a whole different level of appreciation to it and the endless possibilities that are available to us through our connection with our bodies.

  701. How gorgeous. It makes so much sense that we have the power to heal through the way that we move. We walk all the time, so the potential to heal is huge! It just takes a little awareness and willingness and we have so much potential at our finger tips.

  702. I feel a deep sense of responsibility and potential with the simple art of just being with our body as we move it. At the same time there is the mind that arrogantly jumps in to say that the way we move, or do something is who we are and there is nothing not true about it. Such is the human spirit in us that does not want to be exposed in the lies it lives.

  703. I agree, ‘The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.’ We do abuse it and expect it to perform and then get frustrated when we get ill. Serge Benhayon brings a whole new science to energy and movement and how to care for the body from the principle of energy first. It is completely transformative and I am looking forward to my 1st Walking Therapy session!

  704. A beautiful sharing Rachel with the love of our bodies and all it feels when in connection and listening to it, how we are with the flow of the Universe and every movement becomes the bodies way of healing, living, true vitality and health, shown to us by Serge Benhayon. A real exposing on the benefits of walking that is so empowering and healing, something we all know inside and how we can live in our everyday lives and movements – walking therapies is an amazing gift.

  705. I love your blog Rachael, what you’ve shared is so inspiring and expansive. The wisdom that flows through your blog is exquisite. ‘The mind can’t feel, but the body feels it all – especially what we cannot see.’ And, this is so true.

  706. Awesome post Rachel.. The Walking Therapies by Universal Medicine sound and feel amazing and it makes sense what you share about life being the medicine – our bodies can either take the brunt of our choices that are disregarding of the body, or they can take our love from self-loving choices to lead a life that is with that same quality (love).

  707. The little things in life, the tasks are super important for building our bodies as everything is interlinked. Fascinating really.

  708. Can’t wait to get into a bit of this walking therapy action, I walk all day so if I can connect to myself through this, the healing will be amazing.

  709. Yes everything you describe here does make absolute sense Rachael. I have seen people close to me completely transform the way they move after experiencing one of Serge Benhayon’s walking therapy sessions and very much look forward to having a session myself.

  710. “if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” YES it does, of course it does. Brilliant to lay it out so clearly and what a gift to have in my pocket for the day. Thank you.

  711. Knowing that “everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body” brings a new level of awareness to our lives and every choice we make. And if we do make the choice to begin to honestly clock how we are living, we are offered the potential to really deepen our relationship with ourselves which then naturally flows on to those around us. The Walking Therapies sound like the most wonderful and incredibly valuable gift to bring to our body.

  712. “But what if no one can actually do the healing for us? What if they can only inspire or ignite the body’s own and very natural way of healing what has been erroneously lived?” As I read this I feel so clearly that the only way anyone is going to be inspired to change their movements and choices for their own body is if they see and feel the lived expression of those choices in another’s body. How many doctors or specialists or healers or gurus are actually living in a way that we would aspire to? Very, very few – especially since their bodies will also reflect their private lives no matter how shiny their consultancy room might be. So is it any wonder that so few are stepping up and the health of humanity isn’t improving?

    1. Great questions Otto. I agree that there are very few people in our world who truly inspire others to heal. I love the way healing works because when we truly understand that no one can do the healing for us, this is very empowering and it means it is always our own responsibility to heal. No one has more special powers than another because we are all healers who can inspire others to also heal. This is the power of responsibility and reflection. Amazing how this works and thank God the responsibility of healing ourselves and humanity is not dumped on just one person, i.e a ‘especial chosen one’ because there is no such thing.

  713. “everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body” Life is our medicine whether we appreciate it or not, everything we do impacts on or supports our body. In the same way The Gentle Breath Meditation re-connects us to our gentleness, bringing our awareness to the quality of our walk builds a foundation for every movement we make. And so we come home to our bodies and the way they feel as a consequence of our daily habits and our incredible ability to change how we live in order to restore the flow and harmony that naturally resides within us.

  714. Yes, Rachel. There is no greater medicine than to bring quality to our breath and movements in everyday life.

  715. “if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” True common sense!

    1. And ultimately empowering: if we have the power to create our ills, then we also have the power to heal them. Life is constantly offering us opportunities to learn, to be inspired, to go deeper, to let go, and we get to choose whether to resist, or embrace, what is being offered to us in every moment.

      1. So true. The challenge is to change our way of thinking and reacting to ‘mistakes’ as something we have done wrong and instead to welcome them as reflections to see what is not working in order to change and thereby learn and develop.

    2. And it’s so simple, it’s simply becoming aware of how the body feels with the way we are with ourselves and others in every part of life. Everyone understands the concept of lifestyle choices and how they have impacts, not exercising or exercising, drinking alcohol or smoking, not sleeping well, loneliness, etc. This is simply the same thing but examined in greater detail, with authority given to the body and the quality of energy we experience to show the way to true wellbeing.

  716. Thank you for sharing Rachael, ‘everything in life is an opportunity to heal and bring more of ourselves to life through the body.’ The more we see life this way the more we will embrace what is before us to learn from rather than see it is an obstacle to tackle, defeat and over come. It brings a whole new level of purpose to life rather than simply to get through the day or to get from A to B.

  717. Rachel I remember a similar phrase from my childhood
    “The mind can’t feel,”
Serge Benhayon seems to have added ‘but the body feels it all’
When we respect our bodies and don’t use them as a vessel for dumping inappropriate foods and liquids just because they taste nice, use it as a battering ram as witnessed in some sports it can talk to us very loudly and if we all stopped to listen to what it had to say I feel certain that the rates of illness and disease would drop quite dramatically.

    1. “The mind can’t feel,” . . I love this phrase from your childhood Mary

    1. It sure is Mary and is a great marker of the way we are living. I know for myself when I am walking slouched it feels completely different to when I am walking feeling/being myself.

    2. Yes, I have experienced this Mary and everyone around us feel it too. Our body does feel everything.

  718. Rachael, this is so true; ‘The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most.’ For me this is evident if I get ill, being ill makes me realise how I take my health for granted and makes me really appreciate my health when I am well again.

  719. I am convinced that we can walk ourselves into misery as well, and that is the self empowering bit, we can walk ourselves out of the misery too. And that is something we have to become aware of, the fact that the way we walk and move is defining how and who we are on a daily basis.

  720. p.s I have a little motto at the moment: “I walk me – I walk multi-dimensionality” 🌟

    1. Yes, that is who we truly are, multidimensional beings and magic can happen when we move through space with this awareness…broader than the physicality of ‘me’.

  721. I remember the first Esoteric Yoga training in the UK many years ago and Serge came round and put his hands on our shoulders. A simple gesture yet in that I could feel myself completely returning to my body, it was as if all the energy above my neck just poured itself into my body and i could feel again, feel from the inside out. I do not need to put my hands on my shoulders to do this for myself and it remains a great technique for me to this day. The walking therapies I have also experienced as being life changing and look forward to more exposure to these in the coming months.

  722. It only makes sense that if we can learn to walk in a way that is super connected to our body and thus with all bodies, and we are walking all the time during the day, then utilizing a walking therapy can have profound effects that ripple out to all areas of our lives. I have committed to going on a walk every day for the last few years now (without perfection of course) and it has shown me an immeasurable amount about myself, including how/when I bring issues home with me, how my stride and posture changes based on my level of self-worth and free expression, etc. There have also been amazing realisations that come to me during walks. So I can only imagine how powerful it would be to have a Walking Therapy session with Serge Benhayon, knowing what amazing wisdom has come from every other presentation he has made!

  723. It’s very obvious to me too the way in which we live affects our health, that our every movement either harms or supports our wellbeing yet we choose to ignore, live arrogantly and dismiss everything that the body communicates with us. I know that it is the wisdom of the body that I need to listen to not my mind. My mind can play games but it is the connection to my body that knows truth and the true love that I am.

  724. “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?” Yes of course, is makes sense, usually we feel we only abuse our body however we can turn this around and listen to and work with our bodies to heal them.

  725. ‘You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!’ I love this line, I beamed a big beamy smile when I read it.

    1. Ah yes! it’s a very lovely line and so true. He presents ‘human’ in all its potential and it sure is inspiring to observe this and that we are so much more.

  726. I love how every moment in life is an opportunity to connect more deeply to our bodies and what we can feel. When we feel and experience life through our bodies and instead of our minds, it is very clear that there’s a bigger picture, the universe, that our bodies are naturally aligned to and attuned with. It totally gets ‘self’ out of the way, and demands a surrender to a greater order – and so simple: surrender to what our bodies are telling us, just by connecting to what we can feel when we walk and move, feel that we belong to something bigger than ourselves, and life starts to flow with a lot more ease, purpose and joy.

  727. We have got used to being a passenger in life when we are needed to steer our body wherever we go. No wonder we’re looking at automated cars, it sums up for me how we try to check out and find something better to do than simply live our life. Thank you Rachel.

    1. One only needs to look at the plethora of devices that now only require our voice that before, needed us to move in some way. We can ask our phones or computers for information or directions for driving or cooking. In our homes, we can control lights, heating/cooling, answer the door, make a shopping list and ask Hal to open the Pod door! All of this is eroding our movement.

  728. So true Rachel, we so readily take our bodies for granted and put them through all sorts of gruelling tests, and when they complain loudly about it, have the audacity to get cross with them for breaking down on us. Serge Benhayon has gracefully broken through this paradigm, proving time and again through all the Esoteric Modalities he has established that our bodies when treated with loving care hold all the answers to our ills. Yes we can walk our way to health, in full connection with the beautiful flow and harmony within when we treat our bodies with the utmost care and take full ownership of them. It is a practice that requires continual presence and focus, a healthy pursuit that gently dissolves the immense stress we can put our selves under attempting to ‘get it all done’ in a day. Bringing our selves back to the quality of every footfall is pure meditation in itself.

  729. So often we are the manufacturer of our own dis-ease in the body so it makes total sense that the body can also support us to heal when it is given the chance and the Walking therapies sound like an awesome opportunity to connect more deeply with our own bodies and then move in a way that is healing instead of harming.

  730. ” The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most. ”
I never thought of it that way before .

    1. Yes John, it is taken for granted and not appreciated for the precision it is connected to, a precision that is able to heal all that we have ‘walked’ away from.

    2. When something is taken for granted it is simply not seen and for most people unless they have a specific ache or pain, they are generally unaware of their bodies. One unfortunate exception is when we have a hang up about a particular body part and then that part will recieve negative attention but other than that, by and large most of us operate like disembodied heads!

  731. The way we move offers us an opportunity to observe how we are in our body. By simply making a few adjustments to the way we walk can change this immediately, such is the power we all hold in the way that we move. Therefore, it’s worth considering that just as we can enormously improve the quality of our movements, without concern for or connection with our body, the opposite is also true.

  732. Rachael, I really look forward to trying the walking therapies, thank you for sharing your experience of them, they sounds amazing.

  733. Brilliant blog, Rachel, thank you. We absolutely take our bodies for granted, particularly their ‘wisdom’. We assume our bodies will support us in whatever it is we want to do, however, the body’s innate intelligence will always be pulling us back to a place of harmony within and this includes making loving choices, caring for every part of our being. It’s when we overrule and dismiss the body’s constant communication with us that we start to run into trouble and then, ironically, we often blame our body for failing us. Such is our arrogance.

  734. Yes Rachel I totally agree with this – ‘You look at Serge walk and know that we are more than human – but he does human very well!’ – Since the first time I meet Serge Benhayon I realised there was something much more than the human aspect of our life, that he came with a deep sense of the unknown yet I felt like I knew it all. How he lives this in the everyday in human form is remarkable and deeply inspiring.

  735. A great article Rachel thank you for sharing the wisdom you have received from the walking therapies, it is amazing that healing is offered in every moment of our day to day life in how we live life with our bodies. Every movement when we move from our essence can be a healing.

  736. Beautifully said Rachael. We spend a very large portion of our life walking so if we are ‘checking out’ (letting go of the mind/body connection) between A and B instead of ‘checking in’ with ourselves, it makes sense that dis-ease and illness will follow thereafter. For the most part the majority of us use walking simply as a means of transport to carry our physicality from one point to another and it stays purely functional. What Serge Benhayon is presenting turns this completely on its head and we start to see that not only are we comprised of a physical form, there are also the energetic components of spirit and soul that work behind the scenes and manoeuvre our physical body through space. The source of energy we are aligned to will determine the quality with which we move our physicality, so it makes sense to discern who (spirit or soul) is behind the wheel, so to speak and how this plays out in our daily lives.

  737. Great blog Rachael you have really nailed all the ways we as humans try to squirm out of taking responsibility for our own health, well-being and growth. I particularly love this question. . . “The key here is ‘what has been lived’ – because if our bodies get affected, dis-eased and ill from the way we live and move through life, then doesn’t it make sense that ‘life’ could also be the healer?”

    1. Yes, great question and it makes absolute sense to me that the way we live ‘life’ could be our healer. It also highlights that our health and well-being is very much our responsibility and when we experience ill health, it doesn’t just happen overnight, or it is a thing of ‘bad luck’, because the way we live has an impact on our health everyday.

  738. Thanks Rachel for your insightful blog , Re-learning how to walk our walk without the impositions of life leading the way or should I say us carrying these burdens into the physical realm of our bodies and the way we walk. Walking free of ideals and beliefs or restrictions / impositions is very liberating and powerful. Its is also amazing the see the power, grace , lightness and speed in which Serge walks with ,a sign of how he chooses to live his life , definitely not holding back.

  739. I am learning how I have made life about developing my skills and functioning and not about bringing a depth of quality to every moment. I find that I am now in the process of seeing how limiting this is and am starting to re-evaluate how I live, how I sleep, how I move- looking at all the different aspects of my life that support me to be more of myself in each moment of the day.

  740. Yes walking is something that has been on my mind as well. I have observed many people walking and can see how we can get stressed, depressed, tired etc from our walking alone because we are not aware of the way we are moving and how that contributes to how we feel.

  741. Great post Rachel . “The body seems to be the one thing that is taken for granted the most” I so agree. So many of us get wrapped up in our heads er ignore the body’s messages to us. Walking therapy sounds like a great modality – and something we can do for ourselves once we align.

  742. I agree of how much we take the body for granted, and in doing so we put it through a lot as it takes a good old beating as we rush and push through life… always wanting to achieve, to be recognised, never taking enough rest. Then the body brings us to a stop, (like an illness/disease, broken arm or leg etc) and then we are all ears – well some are and some will not take heed and carry as before.

  743. The understanding that walking can provide a medicinal or healing quality offers an expanded potential for supporting ourselves in a way that needs no bells or whistles, but simply an opening to know that there is more going on than the function of one foot in front of the other.

    1. This brings the truth that movement is medicine if done from connection to ourselves and not in the mere function of, as you put it Heather ‘one foot in front of the other’

    2. Yes Heather, to move with all of our power and no holding back is the best medicine for every cell in the body.

  744. All these amazing therapies brought through by Serge Benhayon are all about supporting us to re-connect to and feel our bodies. Our instrument of communication. Walking therapies are another blessing we have been given.

    1. One that is so practical and applicable many times in everyday. Imagine teachers, nurses, police, cleaners, etc walking their walk for all their steps in their day – what a blessing humanity would receive.

      1. Yes, I agree Johanna – The practical application of this is so simple in our everyday lives – we are always in movement in some way or another and to bring a different quality to this, is a life changing moment – the awareness to walk from our fullness and relationship with God, rather than the limited individual identity we are so familiar with.

  745. Thank you Rachael, it is so simple that we are bringing everything we have lived with us, thus when we walk we have the opportunity to address life in a new way that shifts old entrenched patterns, which no longer serve our forever evolving bodies. Enter the walking therapies as presented by Serge Benhayon, and what you have shared is so spot on, so that every chance I get I will walk with an allowing of each step to bring evolution, which will be to then best of my ability.

  746. I was just talking today to a clasroom of kids about how science has discovered that kids start school as divergent genius’ but only 2% leave school still connected to this genius. And I shared the one thing I had observed about small children was they were always 100% present in everything they do so maybe that is how they access this intelligence. To walk and connect in the way you describe feels very much like returning to our natural way.

  747. Thank you Rachel for sharing the profound difference in your body from the Walking Therapy. So great to be reminded that there is nowhere ‘to go’ to bring more harmony to the body, simply a beautiful return to re-connecting with our innermost essence and body with every movement.

    1. The simple and true fact is when we go deeper within and move our true quality then the grander we are to the outer world.

  748. Having experienced the Walking Therapies myself, I can absolutely vouch for what you are saying. I can simply connect back to that session, and my walk and posture transforms, I’m walking the authority that I know, and I am completely in my body. It is an absolutely amazing modality – a powerful healing session we can give ourselves, simply through walking.
