Breathing my Own Breath

If I could pass on only one thing to support another person in their healing it would have to be the Gentle Breath Meditation™, as taught by Serge Benhayon

This exquisitely simple and beautiful way of breathing belies the vastness of the benefits it brings. The true depth of living quality behind this method of breathing, when practised consistently, establishes a stillness which allows a truer way of living.

It brought about an amazing transformation for me – a way of living so totally different to how I was previously living life and experiencing myself. It was such an astonishing change that it seems hardly possible that such a simple thing as breathing gently through your nose could bring this about, but I can assure you that the Gentle Breath Meditation™ was the beginning of a huge healing process for me.

Prior to learning and practising this way of breathing I was living totally ‘in my head’ –– not that I was aware of this fact at the time.

Looking back it was as though, not only was I in my head – continually caught up in emotions and thinking about yesterday, and what was said, and what had happened, or tomorrow, and what I was going to say or do – but I was also imagining conversations I was going to have with people, sometimes people I didn’t even know! I was also replaying incidents over and over, rehashing hurtful things that I had done or had been done to me, running myself and others down, thinking about what I was going to cook for dinner tomorrow or next week, going shopping on Wednesday etc. etc., on and on. All the while inhabiting a space within my head that reached out before me; a space that included my face, my neck and possibly the upper part of my shoulders, with my vision and consciousness constantly focused outwards, hard up behind my eyes and my forehead, always looking out, seeking and grasping.

I lived either in the past – a past of hurts, self-abuse, poor choices and blame – or the future: a future of hope, but without any basis in truth, so an unreal future at that.

Breathing my own breath, which is what the gentle breath leads you to, allowed my mind to quieten and I was able to come to a space – a place so still and embracing – where I knew, and could feel, that I was connecting to a truer part of myself. With this was a feeling of such lightness and wellbeing that it became natural to choose this breath, and very easy to notice when I wasn’t in the space that connecting to the breath brought with it, a space that I began to love. So most of the time it was easy to choose to come back to it, but on other occasions when caught up in emotional turmoil it could take time, and will, to bring myself back to choosing this gentle loving breath and the stillness and clarity that came with it.

I learnt that the more I brought myself back from emotional upset through breathing gently, the easier it was to see the situation for what it was and let go of it. And over time I noticed myself less and less pulled into emotions and the dramas being played out around me. At the same time, wanting to connect with myself on an even deeper level, I began to follow my breath deeply into my body and as I breathed I realised that I had never truly embraced this body of mine. This was a revelation to me. The idea that I could come down from my head and be in my body, and at the same time stay connected to myself – that part of me that I thought only existed in my head – was incredible. All of this, as amazing as it may sound, was actually just the beginning of my journey into myself.

Through connecting with my body I started to realise my body was continually communicating with me, and I began to listen to what it was telling me: things that I had not heard before, or at least had not wanted to listen to, became clear and I could no longer ignore what I was feeling/hearing.

At times I was able to feel the beauty of myself throughout my body, like a big smile shining and vibrating in every cell. This opening up to the intelligence and beauty of my body showed me how to care for and nurture myself and helped me to realise what an amazing gift my body is.

When sitting quietly I could feel the most exquisite love and joy throughout my entire being and knew this as my connection to God: the absolute love felt would bring me to tears. This feeling brought with it a great appreciation and love for myself, allowing me to know and feel that this same Love that I am is within everyone, all of humanity, opening me to embrace others in a way that I had not been able to do before.

Within the stillness I have been able to let go of many hurts by seeing the truth of situations. I have been able to look at myself honestly and openly, ponder and reflect on ideals, beliefs and ingrained habits and have learnt to appreciate and love myself for who I truly am. This is a continual and ongoing process, and in appreciating how far I have come, I also know, in truth, that I am only at the very beginning of my inner journey.

For this I cannot express enough my deep appreciation for the Gentle Breath Meditation™ as taught by Serge Benhayon, which facilitated the opening up of a truer way of being within myself. In the world it gave me a space just to be, and to accept and love myself, which has brought me to where I am now, today, a place I couldn’t have imagined being years ago, with the knowledge that there is so much more of my true self yet to return to.

I cannot finish this without conveying my very deep love and appreciation to Serge and every member of the Benhayon family for the unwavering love and support that is consistently, without exception, being shown, given and expressed to me since the very first day I met Serge, and then subsequently the other members of his family. My love for you all is beyond words.

  1. People do courses to change their lives, but unless you bring in true healing you will keep repeating the same behaviours, ‘I lived either in the past – a past of hurts, self-abuse, poor choices and blame – or the future: a future of hope, but without any basis in truth, so an unreal future at that.’

  2. What a beautiful and confirming blog to read Rosemary, that we were able to reconnect back to ourselves via the Gentle Breath Meditation™ as taught by Serge Benhayon. To be able to drop back into our bodies is massive because most of us are operating just from our minds and use our bodies like a rubbish bin. Thinking that we can do as we please and there’s the lie ‘thinking’ when we don’t actually think at all, all those thoughts that we have are passing through us and depending how we move the thoughts are attracted to our bodies. So for example, if you are slouching the thoughts you will have will be different from those people who are not slouching. If you are feeling depressed the thoughts you will attract will be confirming the depression. If you live with joy the thoughts that pass through you will be confirming in the joy you are feeling. None of this is you thinking but an energy passing through you, so which energy are we choosing?
When we use gentle breath meditation it allows us a stop moment to reconnect back to ourselves and from there feel the energy we are choosing.

  3. “I was able to feel the beauty of myself throughout my body, like a big smile shining and vibrating in every cell.” As I read these words I felt my body respond with an equal vibrational smile.

  4. Beautiful Rosemary, by reading your words I could receive your living experience with the Gentle Breath Meditation which supported me to be more settled and still within myself. Thanks for sharing

  5. I have found that esoteric Yoga brings me to a place within myself where I can feel a profound stillness and it is quite exquisite to feel this place of deep settlement. I had no idea this was within me. The various modalities of Universal Medicine all support our bodies to reconnect back to the stillness and to let go of the nervous tension many of us find ourselves in.

  6. Rosemary, the simplicity of your profound blog, cannot be dismissed by me, coming back again and again to the gentle breath meditation, has allowed me to deepen within my whole being. As so easily events, life, and situations, can pull me out of myself, and the way back is so simple to just breathe my own breath through it all.

  7. “Within the stillness I have been able to let go of many hurts by seeing the truth of situations”. I can’t let this line of wisdom go without expressing my joy with it all, just “seeing the truth in situations” has made such a difference to me, as it has then given me a different way of being with myself and others.

  8. “Within the stillness I have been able to let go of many hurts by seeing the truth of situations. I have been able to look at myself honestly and openly, ponder and reflect on ideals, beliefs and ingrained habits and have learnt to appreciate and love myself”. thank you Rosemary for your blog, and again bringing me back to the simplicity of the gentle breath, which is readily available to us as soon as we choose to return back to our own inner truth.

    1. The Gentle Breath Meditation supports us to come back to self, and be more present, a gorgeous modality.

  9. “In the world it gave me a space just to be, and to accept and love myself”. Thank you again Rosemary for the blog as I find when I get caught up in something, any kind of emotional turmoil, I do lose my connection with myself and to how I breathe. It is almost too simple to turn to because the mind can want complex solutions to situations, but the gentle breathing just reminds us the answer to everything is to be ourselves.

  10. Each and every one of us is more than a connection with God, we are His body on Earth and yet we bust a gut to constantly not be in the felt knowing of this. Being connected to our bodies and our breath is a way to return to this knowing.

    1. To deepen our connection with God, is supported by deepening our connection with self.

  11. Much is learnt by being at-least-gentle, and that starts the ball rolling towards even greater levels of awareness in our bodies. The True power of awareness is yet to be Truly understood and thanks to Serge Benhayon the path has been laid for those who are willing to align to the Truth and the forever deepening awareness that is openly available for everyone.

  12. I often find I hold my breath, I breathe in, in the morning when I wake and what feels like I hold my breath and don’t breathe out until I’m lying in bed at night.

    1. Being aware of our breath, whether we breathe deeply, quickly, or however we breathe supports us to be with our body.

  13. Thank you Rosemary for this very real, down to earth practical blog. I can’t say I’ve felt this with the meditation – so I’m open to commit to it and give it a try, something I’ve never done. As I live a lot from my head and I hate it. I want to come back to knowing my body and my truth insure out so deeply nothing can rock me.

  14. How many of us live from and in our head and not from and with our body!!! I agree the Gentle Breath Meditation is ABSOLUTE GOLD and a simple tool to re-connect us back to the truth of who we are and of course re-connect us back to our body.

  15. Rosemary your final words of love for Serge and the Benhayon family are beautiful to read, it is very inspiring to know such people who care for others with such love, and who support others to become that same love themselves if they wish to.

  16. Absolutely Rosemary, appreciation of who we are is super-important as to energetically appreciate is to understand we are more than a physical vessel and the way we breathe is a part of the conformation of this fact.

    1. gregbarnes888 we are not in any way taught that we are more than the physical body, it wasn’t until Serge Benhayon came along and presented that we are all much more than what is played out on the surface of life, that we had any idea that there is so much more to us and that this knowing is constantly kept from us. We are taught from very young to look out of ourselves when actually we should be doing the complete opposite and looking within where all the answers to life can be found.

    2. We are so much more than a physical body, we are multi dimensional, we are part of the Universe, a part of God.

  17. Thank you Rosemary it’s always very inspiring to read this, our breath is so simple and overlooked that we may not realise the power it has to support us to remain connected to ourselves, to our soul, and to God, and express the qualities of our essence in day to day living.

    1. Reading this reminds me to come back to my breath, what is it doing, how am I breathing, how important a tool it is to help us stay connected to ourselves and God.

  18. We can stay in our head and have the ‘chatter’ as our normal, or we can take a moment to practice the Gentle Breath Meditation and experience the stillness that can be felt in the body when emotions are not dominating.

    1. speaking to people I have discovered we all have this ‘chatter’ in our heads and we all ‘think’ it is a normal, part of who we are they are our own thoughts because we are thinking them. But what if they are not our thoughts at all? Discovering with the continual support of Serge Benhayon that our thoughts are not ours is actually very freeing because some of the random thoughts we have are so bizarre we have to stop and say where did that come from? What if we are like a radio station and we are picking up vibrations as they are passing through us and attaching to them rather than just letting them pass through unhindered.

      1. What if we are just like a radio, receiving different frequencies according to which vibration, or quality of energy we are aligned to!

  19. We’ve made life so complicated that we think the way forward is complicated solutions. I too have wondered how something so simple as breathing through one’s nose could change everything; but now I feel how it makes sense that it does. Reconnecting back to this simplicity is it.

It’s like our bodies know how to do the most amazing things, to keep us alive without us even knowing the half of it. So all we need to do is connect and live from this simplicity that is all knowing, and for us to not get in the way.

  20. Isn’t it interesting how something so straightforward as breathing can be the tool that reminds us of the delicateness and fragility of our body.

    1. By staying connected to our breath or/and our bodies we’re claiming the space we’re in which is crucial, because if we don’t then we’ll be infiltrated by an energy that will use our body as it’s vehicle to bring in more perceived separation between us and God. By staying connected to our bodies and/or our breath we take a stand, it’s as if we’re silently saying ‘God lives here’, thus making our bodies available to be vehicles for His energy.

      1. Alexis Stewart I adore what you are saying
“By staying connected to our bodies and/or our breath we take a stand, it’s as if we’re silently saying ‘God lives here’, thus making our bodies available to be vehicles for His energy.”
This is music to my ears. There are many of us now that are prepared to stand up and say there is a God; not the one that we have been led to believe is God but an all knowing emanating energy that we can tap into. The lie that we need to go to some building or that God comes through certain people only is such a vile lie, he can come through everyone, we are the ones holding back, not God.

      2. So Mary let’s live in such a way that He pours through us constantly until such time that everyone has remembered that our true purpose here on Earth is to return to being living portals for the Consciousness of God.

    2. Being connected to our breath is essential, ‘Breathing my own breath, which is what the gentle breath leads you to, allowed my mind to quieten and I was able to come to a space – a place so still and embracing – where I knew, and could feel, that I was connecting to a truer part of myself.’

  21. It is very powerful to know that whenever we get caught out with something in the day and get irritated or anxious, we have a tool to return so simply to the Gentle Breath Meditation.

    1. Gillrandall I often get this vision that humanity is like a pin ball machine when the ball hits an obstacle everything lights up as we go into a reaction, the Gentle breath meditation supports our bodies not to get caught up in life we don’t need to react. Stillness and observation that comes with stillness is the way to be.

  22. The Gentle Breath Meditation has been one means by which I’ve come to trust being in a body and know all is ok ( this and esoteric yoga)- this is profound because I have been so afraid of simply being, being fully present in a physical body and feeling everything. We cannot deny our vulnerablity to injury, attack etc. To be able to walk down the street and choose to be fully present is amazing; I am able to respond to life and all that it presents with ease.

    1. When we are fully present we can hear what the body communicates, ‘Through connecting with my body I started to realise my body was continually communicating with me, and I began to listen to what it was telling me’.

  23. What I love about the gentle breath meditation is that it allows you to be with minimal instructions or dictations about how to breathe, other than to connect with a certain quality which connects you to your own breath and allow your body to do the rest. I like that approach and acknowledgement that we can all connect to a quality of breathing that will deliver exactly what is needed for each person in their own way.

    1. Yes it really is bringing it back to ourselves .. the truth of who we are with the Gentle Breath Meditation. Pure Gold ✨

    2. Yes and it’s SO simple. When I first came across it, it seemed almost too simple – but its pure gold and the difference in my body after a few minutes is transformative – if I’m ‘out’.

  24. Breathing my own breath allows my moments to be of a certain quality which impacts everything I do and everyone around me. It makes sense to make breathing my own breath my top priority.

  25. Breathing my own breath is how I know myself – no need for anything fancy just being and breathing is magnificent.

  26. I find it so helpful when things get a bit hairy at work, to bring my attention to my breath and the quality of it. A moment to be sure I am not breathing rapidly which builds tension and stress and give myself space to simply take a long gentle breath in and out. I do often find that I can do the in breath really fully but then almost cut the out breath off because I want to ‘get on’. Always interesting to notice and change.

    1. Yes, it is an intimate conversation between our breath and our stress. One that I feel blessed to be aware of thanks for the Gentle Breath Meditation.

      1. Lucy what you have said is so gorgeous to have an intimate conversation with our breath, we have all been robbed of this connection and it wasn’t until Serge Benhayon came along and reminded us that we have this connect back to our soul, which is what is missing from our lives. The biggest hurt we carry in our bodies is our disconnection to our soul.

  27. The world can feel a bit of a crazy place but when I reconnect to my breath and breathe my own breath all can be observed and doesn’t penetrate my being.

    1. How beautiful, to feel so much love and joy, ‘When sitting quietly I could feel the most exquisite love and joy throughout my entire being and knew this as my connection to God: the absolute love felt would bring me to tears.’

  28. The Gentle Breath Meditation™ so simple, so profound, a gift of a lifetime, a gift for lifetimes.

  29. The constant chatter of the mind. Sometimes it can seem never ending. The Gentle Breath Meditation really supports us to still this and come back to our body #muchneeded ✨

  30. How easy it is to lose ourselves and let the world determine our breath. To have a stop moment and reconnect to the breath is a choice to reconnect to the body and Soul.

  31. The amount of times I used to breath other peoples emotions and stories, I used to get really lost in it all, now I stand strong (without perfection) and breath my own breath, breathing my own breath allows me to stay centred and aware of what is truly going on.

    1. LE I understand what you are saying, when we stay centred with ourselves it opens up the ability to just observe and not take on other people’s emotions.

  32. I find so much of the time that in the business of life my head takes over… that’s why I also love the Gentle Breath Meditation as it supports the constant noise in my head to stop.

  33. I’m noticing just how much I’m not breathing my own breath when I’m thinking about the past or the future and running stories in my head. It’s quite something to realise just how much this is happening recently. It completely takes me away from being present and responding to what’s needed. Learning to keep coming back and enjoying each breath I take.

    1. A great place to focus on is our breath, as we go through the day, are we aware of how we are breathing.

  34. Yesterday I felt quite emotional and could feel that my breath was not my natural gentle and steady breath, but was erratic and hard. I chose to breathe gently through my nose and this is what supported me to calm down and come out of the emotional state and come back to me – so simple and powerful.

      1. Lucy reading your comment I remember when I was in a meeting and I could feel myself becoming agitated, as people were being verbally abusive towards each other. I excused myself from the meeting and went to the loo. Sat on the loo seat and breathed gently, this brought me back to myself and I went back to the meeting. It seems that me getting up and walking from the room changed the energy people had gotten into and everyone waited for me to come back and the meeting continued without the negative energy and I was able to stay connected to myself by breathing gently. This gave me much more awareness of my part in the meeting, rather than getting caught up in the energy of others.

  35. When you do the Gentle Breath you are no longer owned by the situation and at the mercy of another’s emotional state of being.

  36. What I love about ‘breathing my own breath’ is that it can be applied anytime, anywhere, with whatever you are doing. Finding oneself out of source or the mind is going ten to the dozen, just bringing it back to taking a few breaths of your own, is the key to bringing it back to yourself. Then lost to the active, destructive mind that can take you anywhere, far from yourself.

    1. And that’s the crucial thing about any tool that is truly supportive in re-connecting us, it has to be available to us all of the time otherwise what really is the point? Because it’s pretty useless if we learn a technique that re-connects us but we either need equipment, silence or to be on the side of a mountain. That’s why our breath and re-connecting to the body are so amazing, we have them with us all of the time.

    2. Absolutely, what a great tool, that can be applied anywhere, and at any time, whenever it is required to support re-connection or connection to our body.

  37. Yes breath and posture, how we move …two hugely supportive things to be aware of and bring us back to our essence and power.

  38. “The true depth of living quality behind this method of breathing, when practised consistently, establishes a stillness which allows a truer way of living.” When we establish stillness within ourselves we are not ‘knocked-off our centre’ by the vicissitudes of life and hence discern and maintain what is true.

  39. It can seem overwhelming at times to have all those thoughts crowding and churning through our heads, and so any tool that is able to stop this endless chatter and bring focus and steadiness back is very welcome!

  40. I resonated with the thoughts invading our mind space, of past, present and future hurts, it is debilitating at times. The gentle breath and breathing your own breath brings it back to the simplicity of it all and does quieten the mind. A helpful tool, whenever we feel not ourselves.

  41. “Within the stillness I have been able to let go of many hurts..” And within stillness is the space of God, where hurts do not reside.

  42. Bringing you the space to be and accept yourself is very beautiful. I’m learning how, in breathing my own breath, I am clearing away the cobwebs in my mental arena, all the stuff that can swirl around and around which, when clear leaves so much space to be and observe.

    1. We’re so bamboozled by thinking that significant change involves a significant amount of money, effort or both but it doesn’t, all it requires is gentle and consistent application. Once we start to point our ship in the direction of God then Heaven is right there with us blowing love into our sails.

  43. In any situation, however full-on it may feel, we have our breath to connect to and steady ourselves… it literally works miracles when I bring my awareness back to my breath and feel the space available in every in-breath and out-breath.

  44. “Through connecting with my body I started to realise my body was continually communicating with me, and I began to listen to what it was telling me: .” When we stop and listen – and take responsibility for its messages the body is a wonderful tool to support a more purposeful way of living.

  45. It seems that it is only by remembering to breathe gently or bringing awareness to it, which allows us to remain unaffected by reactions to life. Therefore how much more simple could it be than bringing focus to this as a way of living detached, or more involved.

  46. ‘And over time I noticed myself less and less pulled into emotions and the dramas being played out around me.’ This is beautiful, I too have noticed this, that I am choosing to stay steady and to stay gentle and to observe the dramas rather than get caught up in them, this feels great, and I have realised that I can feel joyful and steady no mater what is going on around me.

  47. Something so simple, such as breath can make such a big impact in our life depending on the intent with which it’s used.

  48. Something so simple but so powerful and which is with us constantly if we choose it.

  49. Through the Gentle Breath Meditation™ one learns to return to our body as one’s reference point, for that is our true and natural one, rather than our head and with that the body-mind brings simplicity and truth that our ‘head’ can never do.

  50. We can drive ourselves crazy with should of, would of or could of, and none of the mental anguish we put ourselves through will solve anything but what it will do is register in the body as distress, and put stress on this delicate system of ours. The Gentle Breath Meditation helps us to bring our bodies back from where the mind has taken it.

    1. Yes, very simply bring us back to what our body is capable of doing, hosting a preciousness that needs to be nurtured and not simply seen as a functional.

  51. “This exquisitely simple and beautiful way of breathing belies the vastness of the benefits it brings.” Although very new to us, this simple meditation was the foundational support for my wife and I through a time of great change in our lives that enabled us to navigate through without emotional stress.

  52. When I started the Gentle Breath Meditation I had a love/hate relationship with it. I loved the way it supported me to connect more deeply with how amazing I could be feeling and the depth of awareness I already held within me, and I hated those times when all I could see was my mind games, my exhaustion and the agitation I held in my body. I might have hated them, but I sure found the clarity invaluable – a bit like your best friend telling you that you have body odour! You may not like the message, but it is a priceless gift to know what needs attention.

  53. I can remember the first time I was introduced to the Gentle Breath Meditation and as “I began to follow my breath deeply into my body and as I breathed, I realised that I had never truly embraced this body of mine”. This is exactly what happened for me and I could feel a connection to myself that I could not recall ever feeling as an adult – but I’m sure I did when I was a child. It was if my body was saying – ‘hello, it’s lovely to have you back with me’; and it certainly was lovely to be back.

  54. How many of us live or have lived totally in our head, yet not been fully aware of this!!!! I know I have. As yourself and others share here, the Gentle Breath Meditation brings it completely back to the body in a really simple, easy, accessible and true way. It is quite profound and very beautiful what we get to feel when we apply this. So much more is revealed, including our connection back to truth.

  55. Practising the Gentle Breath can bring the body back into a sense of order, it steadies things, it brings clarity, and it brings us to a place of connection to the stillness that is our God-given right if we so choose.

  56. Through connecting with your body and discovering it’s continually communicating, I’m inspired to listen rather than ignoring it. I have a panic and anxiety that I realise I am in a body and my mistreatment of it I cannot escape. There’s great humility to embrace and accept.

  57. For years when I would try to sleep I would have nervous energy running through me, and at times it felt like I was rocking side to side on the inside. When I first started to do the gentle breath, it took a long time to calm the body down but eventually it got to where it would respond almost instantly. Doing the gentle breath brings the body back into a state of harmony, and it helps us to see life from a clearer perspective.

  58. When I breathe my own breath everything I know to be true has space to be. When I get caught up in the outside world it is like all that sureness gets buried under beliefs, expectations and ‘shoulds’. So yes I totally agree that as a gateway out of the mess we are in The Gentle Breath Meditation is a totally accessible open door.

    1. I absolutely agree Matilda, that this wonderful meditation is “a gateway out of the mess we are in”. And it is a gateway that I always suspected was available so kept searching for it but never found it until my first workshop with Serge Benhayon. Once I was offered this incredibly simple tool to connect to my breath, it didn’t take long to realise that for most of my life, I hadn’t been breathing my own breath but in reaction to my life and the world around me. No wonder life was so much of a challenge and that the quality of my health seemed to always be suffering.

      1. Realising that I had been breathing in reaction to life rather than my own breath was like having both blinkers and filters taken off my eyes.

  59. Thanks so much Rosemary as I really needed to read this again, it’s very foundational for life using our breath to honour and maintain the connection to our innermost heart and soul. “I learnt that the more I brought myself back from emotional upset through breathing gently, the easier it was to see the situation for what it was and let go of it.” Wise words that I really need to apply!

  60. ‘I learnt that the more I brought myself back from emotional upset through breathing gently, the easier it was to see the situation for what it was and let go of it.’ Fantastic, this is such a great shift from being embroiled in the emotions clouding how we see things. The Gentle Breath Meditation is so powerful in it’s simplicity and as you have shared a life changing tool for everyday life and the deepening of our connection to our innermost selves. Thank you for sharing.

    1. Yes it is quite difficult to comprehend that something so simple can be so profound, yet it is.

    2. Yes, the opportunity to detach from an emotional situation and just observe it allows space to consider what is needed next rather than be bulldozing through life on an emotional rollercoaster.

  61. I cannot be reminded enough of the importance of my breath, the awareness of how and with what quality I breath in and out…I know it to the bone, and yet with life buzzing as it does around me, how easy is it to forget?! And so then here comes another gentle reminder, a nudge, to remember again and come back to what we know is the most natural thing for us to be with, the gentleness of our own breath, breathed in and out in harmony with self and all around. What a blessing.

  62. The gentle breath brings the body alive – I am always and eternally blown away by the simplicity of this exercise and yet how powerful it is in its capacity to reconnect us back to the body and inner heart, the bridge to our soul.

  63. What a gorgeous read, and it stopped me as I realised all those stories I run in my head are me living from my head- obvious yes but sometimes we need reminding, so thank you.

  64. When taking an in-breath, if in conscious presence, it can be felt go through the nostrils into the lungs. I love the feeling of feeling my breath filling up my lungs. It helps me let go in any situation, bring more of an understanding, drop the intensity and respond in a calm manner. For a while I have had a nervous energy running through my body, ever so subtly but when I lay down at night it becomes more and more obvious. Through bringing a focus to my nostrils and following my breath, i have many times let go of any nervousness, anxiety or anything else that may be running through my body and surrendered to a deep, beautiful sleep. Thank you Serge Benhayon for introducing the Gentle Breath Meditation.

  65. ‘It was such an astonishing change that it seems hardly possible that such a simple thing as breathing gently through your nose could bring this about, but I can assure you that the Gentle Breath Meditation™ was the beginning of a huge healing process for me. ‘ I have no doubt about this. We all live in the same world and yet our experience of it can be so vastly different. It’s not having loads of money or being the prettiest, or whatever it is we think that will make the difference if it’s not based on quality first. I don’t live in the fanciest area at all. My house was built to house military personnel, all function no finesse and yet I really appreciate my house. I’m at an age where my younger self would have imaged far more in terms of success and I haven’t done myself any favours in many ways. However, what makes all the difference between disappointment and true appreciation is my breath.

    1. Our breath has the potential to connect us to a reservoir of wisdom and a reservoir of love which in turn has the power to transform how we see the world. When we look out through the eyes of love then the world looks a very different place to when we look out through the lens of disappointment, anger, sadness or any emotion for that matter. Even happiness is a filter that obscures the truth.

  66. So beautifully explored, where are we living? If it is primarily in our mental and emotional worlds we are missing the power and wisdom of the body and our quality of movement through life.

  67. Breathing our own breath brings a gentleness and delicateness to our way of being with ourselves that only the preciousness of our breath can bring.

  68. When we allow ourselves to breathe gently we say yes to the universe and with every gentle breath we can feel more the space there is and how we are part of it.

  69. When we first realise how we are driven so much by thoughts in the head, it feels quite shocking, but the Gentle Breath Meditation is so powerful to bring us to the body. It is an amazing tool to turn a way of being from the head to the body in an instant.

  70. Have you observed the exquisite breathing of a sleeping baby? When we let ourselves breathe our most natural breath, it is the breath of God that is breathing through us

    1. Absolutely beautiful Golnaz … to observe a baby breathing is exquisite and we get to feel what it is to be connected to our soul.

  71. Part of the awareness that the Gentle Breath Meditation offers us is the opportunity to build really honest relationships with ourselves about how present, still and steady we are in life, because, as we stop in any moment to breath gently, we are instantly shown the quality of our preceding moments.

  72. I love this, thanks so much for sharing; ‘I learnt that the more I brought myself back from emotional upset through breathing gently, the easier it was to see the situation for what it was and let go of it.’

  73. Breathing is foundational to our lives – to our very existence – which therefore must surely lead us to consider the importance of how we breathe … what is its quality and how deeply are we breathing?

  74. There are moments where I listen now that I once chose to ignore and not that long ago. Breaking the momentum of function within a cycle can seem challenging and perhaps overwhelming at first but with commitment and taking each step as it comes I am seeing that it is possible to hold a presence in the body even if I am dipping in and out. Appreciating every step of the way is an essential part of the journey.

  75. Commencing the Gentle Breath Meditation has been something that has been life changing for me. Its simple, very easy to do and very enjoyable. Feeling me as a result of this technique has been a wonderful discovery.

  76. There is so much more to our breath than simply breathing in and out – it is a journey back to our soul.

  77. The love you now feel for yourself and others is tangible Rosemary and the simplicity, honesty and grace with which you share your journey is truly inspiring.

  78. This living the past in the present, or the fear of the future in the present has-been my life. But I’ve started being more honest and then more honest again about the different layers of doing this. It’s amazing, amazing to just be me in life knowing I can walk into situations prepared because I am breathing my own breath and am connected with God and everything I need. And then there are other times when staying present has been challenging because it’s meant I feel past hurts, I see how I’ve not loved myself or others. But, delay as I may in feeling this, when I do feel it all and it’s released it’s super worth coming back to being me and breathing my own breath. When I stay with my breath what disturbed me dissipates to nothing. To me these are miracles, no longer being beholden to what isn’t love.

  79. The fact that the breath will always enter and release automatically has meant that we overlook this aspect of our living way and ‘get on with other things’. The moment we realise that if we are not choosing our breath – the way the breath comes into our body and the way it leaves our body’ then something else is. The moment I understood this and began to choose to breath my own breath, my whole life changed into a beautiful rhythm where I experience who I truly am. I, too, deeply appreciate all that has been shared by Serge Benhayon and the Benhayon Family, thank you Rosemary for this sharing.

  80. To live in one’s whole body and not only the head is a beautiful way to live and in truth a very natural way for all of us.

    1. Yes, we think breathing is breathing, something very natural because we do it all the time, but the true worth lies in the quality of our breath and the key is to understand that we can choose how we breathe and are not at the mercy of the world around us.

    2. Without the connection to our breath or our bodies we feel very grey and lifeless, a bit like an old steak. Re-connecting to ourselves breathes life back into our bodies, it revives us. And what’s interesting is that before I re-connected to myself through my body I used to think that I was vital and full of life but it was all smoke and mirrors because when the plug got pulled I deflated as quickly as a punctured tire.

  81. The simplicity of the Gentle Breath Meditation as taught by Serge Benhayon makes one almost not do it – we tend to think that for something to be effective and give results, you have to work on it for a long time and work hard. That is not to say that the Gentle breath is super easy to do (for the mind can be like a belligerent child in its attempts to distract us), but in essence it is such a simple exercise that anyone can do it. It is free and easy to find time and space for as it only takes a few minutes. What a gift and blessing to give oneself at any time of the day.

  82. Love it Ariana, and this helps us understand that all those other things do not support us to breath our own breath.

  83. ‘This exquisitely simple and beautiful way of breathing belies the vastness of the benefits it brings.’ I think the gentle breath meditation has to be the singularly most valuable thing anyone has ever taught me. In just one short moment in connecting to the breath we have the keys to the eternal vastness we are from and are.

  84. Breathing is the one thing that we are engaged in every moment of the day, yet other than the fact that without it we will not stay alive for long, we have payed so little attention to its actual significance in our life.
The Gentle Breath Meditation is a powerful tool on so many levels.

    1. It sure is Gill and what I love about it, unlike many other meditations I have tried, is that is does not rely on someone else and actually deepens in quality each time you do it and gives you a marker and foundation rather than having it as a place of solace or respite from the world.

  85. We may think it is ridiculous to say, or state breathe our own breath, because duh..of course we do we breathe more than 23,000 breaths a day…who else is doing it if it is not us…and it is a basic physical function so what is the big deal…but how many of those breaths are in conscious presence, how many are we aware of, how many of them do we choose the quality of…? And if the answer is I don’t know..then it is well worth checking in with your breath and consciously experimenting with what happens when we make the commitment to breathe our own breath….the humble empowerment and clarity is like nothing else I have experienced.

  86. ‘The true depth of living quality behind this method of breathing, when practised consistently, establishes a stillness which allows a truer way of living.’ This is simply remarkable when compared to how I used to feel without making the gentle breath my daily staple. From this place of stillness, decisions and choices can be made with a deeper knowing which brings a far steadier and authoritative sense to all things.

  87. The Gentle Breath Meditation was the first meditation practice that I enjoyed. It never felt like something I had to do or was a chore. I so enjoyed it that I wanted to give myself that time to breathe my own breath. Its been a bridge to connecting to and knowing who I am and it feels super lovely and precious.

    1. The same for me Jennifer. It has been such a simple but truly lovely practice and brought me to a far deeper understanding and acceptance of myself than I would ever have thought possible.
It is at hand immediately and doesn’t cost anything to do.

  88. The day I was introduced to the Gentle Breath Meditation, by Serge Benhayon, was the day I was re-introduced to my own breath and to me. It didn’t take long to realise that the breath I knew so naturally as a child had been slowly replaced by a breath that was being impulsed by everything and everyone around me; I was breathing for the world but not for me. Coming back to my true breath and to my beautiful body has been the most price-less gift ever as it has given me my life back, simply from breathing my own breath once again.

  89. Connecting with and breathing our own breath is a beautiful way to reconnect with the whole of our own being and body, especially when we have been caught up in the head.

  90. It’s such a basic thing yet something that makes such a profound impact on quality of life.

  91. If we don’t inhabit our own bodies then we leave them empty for energetic squatters to move in and move in they do. Once in they take control of our every movement, be that the movement of our limbs, the patterns of our thoughts or what comes out of our mouths. There comes a point when we have to gradually move back in and this we do by having our mind with our body in whatever it is doing at the time. It’s when our minds are not with our bodies that we leave them empty and open prey for a consciousness that is more than happy to use and abuse us at it’s whim.

  92. “If I could pass on only one thing to support another person in their healing it would have to be the Gentle Breath Meditation™, as taught by Serge Benhayon.” Wise advice indeed. This simple gentle breath meditation is so profoundly powerful in its depth and simplicity that it is unquestionably the only go to meditation, in my experience. You sum it up so perfectly here: “This exquisitely simple and beautiful way of breathing belies the vastness of the benefits it brings.”

    1. It didn’t take me too long to realise that “this exquisitely simple and beautiful way of breathing belies the vastness of the benefits it brings.”. In fact in the beginning I struggled to understand its simplicity as every other meditation I had done seemed to be so complicated, and in the complication none of them connected me to my body, and so quickly, like the Gentle Breath Meditation does. I have presented it to young children, to those in their later years, to those with terminal illnesses, to women’s groups and every single one of them have been able to connect to their breath and their bodies so easily and all have shared how amazing they felt after only a few breaths. This meditation is pure gold.

  93. The Gentle Breath Meditation, breathing our own breath is a step towards connecting with our soul

    1. For a long time I did not really know what meditation, breathing my own breath or connecting to my Soul actually meant. The Gentle Breath Meditation has been a very welcome step towards returning to my innate relationship with all of these.

  94. When we begin to breath our own breath we start to realise how often we breathe other people, situations and circumstances first, and how we ignore our own breath for ourselves. But when we breathe our own, we do not succumb to what is going on around us and we do not impose onto others. We simply stay very solid.

    1. The Gentle Breath Meditation presented by Universal Medicine was invaluable for me to start to feel all of this, understand and know it from experience. A deeply empowering tool.

  95. To breathe your own breath is to come to understand yourself and your body on a deeper level … and there is no end to this depth either.

  96. The stillness the gentle breath brings, allows us a foundation never to fall below in our every day. It is super supportive to be able to return to this, no matter what.

  97. The simplicity and power of the Gentle Breath Meditation is properly remarkable and I marvel at the way it brings me into the immediacy and fullness of the present moment.

    1. I agree Matilda … focusing on our breathing brings us out of our heads and back to our bodies and feeling whats truly going on, and coming back to the gentleness is super supportive in letting go of all the tension we can carry.

    2. Often the way meditation is offered is as if to help people check out from the intensity of the moment not that different to how many people use alcohol. Yet so true that the Gentle Breath Meditation is designed to support people to come “into the immediacy and fullness of the present moment”.
If the intensity diminishes with the Gentle Breath Meditation, and from my experience, it does tend to, it is not from a checking out but from relating to life from a clearer and more steady foundation.

      1. So well said Golnaz, when you think about it, is the type of meditation where you visualise yourself on a beach or on a mountain any different to putting the telly on and zoning out?

  98. The Gentle Breath Meditation has a way of rearranging the body from the inside out. It’s as if it highlights the hardness we have been living in but can bring the body into a more settled state.

    1. What you’ve shared Julie highlights what happens when we don’t breathe gently – chaos. If I was to stand here and start to either breathe rapidly, or hold my breath then my body would start to become disorganised, every part of me would be negatively affected in some way. Our breath plays an integral role in the harmony of our bodies.

  99. The Gentle Breath Medication transformed my understanding of meditation. I always thought it was something you do in a ‘special’ place, seated in a particular position and spend a lot of time on. Instead it is a simple technique and without drum roll, integrated into life and part of us because we walk with breath. In a traffic jam, just connect to breath, a situation with the potential to frustrate us at work or home, focus on breath and return to stillness. The gentle breath gives instant access to stillness and stops us reacting to life.

  100. When we stop to breathe our own breath we get to feel how we have been living, the choices we have made up to that point, which brings understanding to our behaviours … and then we have a choice with the next breath – will it be gentle or not.

    1. Thank you for using the word ‘understanding’, Paula – it seems I cannot hear it enough at the moment and am realising the grace and opportunity this quality offers us to learn and grow.

  101. “Prior to learning and practising this way of breathing I was living totally ‘in my head’ –– not that I was aware of this fact at the time.” Its interesting how living in our head blinds us to the fact that we are! And yet, living connected to our bodies first, breathing our own breath, brings a quality and presence that is all encompassing of not only our whole body but all around us as well.

  102. The beauty of the gentle breath is its accessibility: we can go to it at any time as it resides within us. All we have to do is connect to and use it.

    1. Absolutely agree, it is so simple and you can connect with your own breath within minutes or seconds and even do it while you are doing other things! So super practical too.

  103. It is invaluable having a tool that supports us to consciously deepen our connection with our own essence and be able to use what we feel and observe as a marker, so that when we drop below that we can tell. Without such a support, our ability to justify and dismiss things can get us way off kilter before we even register something is amiss.

  104. Without a doubt the Gentle Breath Meditation™ is one of the greatest tools to support one in their healing, and what makes it so versatile is that your breath is always with you and therefore it can be practiced anywhere and at any time.

    1. ” and what makes it so versatile is that your breath is always with you and therefore it can be practiced anywhere and at any time” Yes Jonathon, often overlooked, the body is our greatest ally when nurtured and listened to. In the most challenging of situations, the breath always settles and brings me back to what is true.

      1. “…. the body is our greatest ally when nurtured and listened to.” There is no greater ‘ally’ and like the breath it is always with us.

  105. Lately I have been feeling how much I hold my breath, and in that clamp down on my heart to ‘do’ life – it becomes a mental activity of getting things done. Pausing to check in with my chest – how does my heart feel, how is my breathing, always exposes the holding… and offers an opportunity to breathe my own breath again which naturally opens my heart. So simple yet this has a profound effect on my whole body and the quality I then move with.

  106. I am deeply touched by your personal and yet so very relatable account about the changes the Gentle Breath Meditation has brought to your life and the way you feel about yourself and live your life. This is very inspiring.

  107. Today I had an esoteric yoga session and got to feel the simply beauty of breathing deeply into my lungs. I understood how staying with my own breath, the depth of me, supports me to stay steady in everyday life. a life that can invite me to sway this way or that.

    1. The more we breathe our own breath, the more we respond to life rather than reacting to it.

  108. There is so much of life that we can get easily swept up by, like the tide going out in the wrong direction, we can feel powerless against the current and give into the momentum of the mass. The gentle breath simply cuts this in the matter of moments, allowing us to be in charge of our own choices once again… and to swim free of the seeming inescapable.

  109. This morning I sat enjoying my gentle breath and felt how much each breath would show me where I am in connection with my body and how I am feeling. I could feel a little tightness in my chest and could feel there was space to go much deeper and I will take this into my day and see how much I can stay with this feeling during the day..

  110. I learn so much from simply observing the way I’m breathing and whether it is supporting me to be true to me or not.

  111. Thank you Rosemary, there is such a depth to understanding how our breath can actually keep us in union with ourselves, our soul and with God, and that it’s not just an automatic thing but something we can decide the quality of.

    1. Beautifully said Melinda … we always have a choice in the quality we bring to our lives.

  112. In breathing my own natural breath I am with me and less likely to be taking on the situations of life.

  113. Breathing our own breath has a profound effect on our physiology – there is a gentleness, stillness and harmony that naturally comes with very little effort which no amount of mental trying could ever achieve.

  114. The simplicity of the Gentle Breath Meditation is a blessing for humanity. It allows us to feel a connection with space and to appreciate precisely what it is that space is offering us – an opportunity for expansion and a connection to the Grace of God.

  115. The Gentle Breath Meditation is an amazing tool for bringing us back to our essence, to who we truly are, and supporting us to live this in our daily lives.

  116. How many of us shut down our hearts from young and live in our heads as adults – predictably most of the world because living from our hearts is not a way of living we are taught or encouraged to live from very young … which is why we have the mess the world is in. However, The Gentle Breath Meditation is turning the tide as many find what it offers to be transformational.

  117. Our body breathes non stop, but most of the time it goes unnoticed because this is just what it does. Like every other bodily function, most of them go unnoticed until either something starts to go wrong or we bring our full attention to it and actually become aware of what is happening inside us. By bringng this focus to our breath for example, we have the power to change anxiousness into calm, or a stillness that then spreads throughout the body and allows us to deepen our conneciton to who we are and what is actually going on around us.

  118. There is a simplicity to life when I am breathing my own breath and a sense of settlement in my body that feels so lovely.

  119. “This exquisitely simple and beautiful way of breathing belies the vastness of the benefits it brings. The true depth of living quality behind this method of breathing, when practised consistently, establishes a stillness which allows a truer way of living.” When I was first introduced to the Gentle Breath Meditation™ I was astonished at the depth of stillness I experienced within myself so simply, quickly and with such ease. Then consistently practicing it over the years it has brought a quality of steadiness and responsivity to my life that I did not have before.

  120. The experience you share here is amazing to read and shows just how powerful the techniques of the ageless wisdom are.

    1. There are so many simple techniques which we can apply to life that support us to be in and aware of our bodies, I am very thankful to have found the teachings of the Ageless Wisdom.

  121. To breathe our own breath, stay connected to our own body and awareness, and remain steady in our response regardless of what we are faced in life, is one of the most empowering abilities ever. In a world where most of us are way off this mark, the Gentle Breath Meditation is truly a heaven sent gift to support us on our way.

  122. Life can be intense, with that there is no question. Sometimes, life can feel like an assault, a bombardment and an energetic attack on every level. Sometimes, it can feel shocking, but knowing there is something as simple as the gentle breath to come home to, which supports all of the above, is healing and liberating at the same time.

  123. The more I commit to being aware of the way I am breathing the more I love feeling a gentleness and consistency when I breathe. When my breath is constant gentle and long there is very little room for anxiety. I may allow anxiety in and if I do I just observe what is going on and the more I stay committed to breathing consistently, the less the anxiety takes hold. Breathing gently has supported me through so many awkward or stressful situations that I would have to agree with others, if there was just one thing I would pass on it would be the gentle breath meditation.

  124. Living in my head always felt like a very narrow bandwidth… just me and my thoughts going round and round with nowhere to go.
Living with my feelings, in my body, is quite the opposite. There is my breath, there is a warmth in my chest and my heart, there is feedback from all my limbs and organs (including my head)… its a veritable cacophany of information that is easy to navigate if I just surrender to what is being felt, and respond to it.
Totally, 100% and completely different to the limited view in my head!

  125. I don’t know about anyone else, but just reading the title and the first few lines inspires me to breath gently and with awareness of my breath, and suddenly the constantly busy mind – that makes up scenarios and conversations, jumping all around- settles and takes a pause

    1. Yes, there is a settlement that comes when we are aware of our breath – our minds settle and its like our bodies are given the space to be themselves and to be in their natural harmony and rhythm.

    2. I’m the same Simone, it reminds me that there is another way to be in life without the endless thinking, but in a steady rhythm with my breath supporting me to stay connected to my soul.

  126. “Through connecting with my body I started to realise my body was continually communicating with me” Given the space to do so, our bodies can and do impart so much wisdom to us, it is literally unfathomable as to what it knows and has access to.

  127. ‘Prior to learning and practising this way of breathing I was living totally ‘in my head’ –– not that I was aware of this fact at the time.’ It is only when we start to live differently and connect more to stillness that we are able to look back see just how mentally we have been living. I can recall how noisy my head was with all the chatter, it would literally give me a headache and I had no way to turn it off as such. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to live even just a day like that now that being with my breath and feeling a connection to stillness is becoming so very normal.

    1. And just like with an orchestra, if even one musician were to go off and do their own thing like we let the mind do, every other musician as well as the conductor himself would be affected by the disharmony that would ensue.

  128. I love how this Gentle Breath Meditation brought an awareness of just how much I did NOT breathe my own breath, and was at the mercy of all the dramas playing out around me by breathing in these vibrations. Breathing my own breath holds a steadiness within to simply observe whatever is going on, however awful it may appear to be, rather than being sucked into it and then feeling exhausted.

    1. We have a new marker in our body with the Gentle Breath Meditation© and notice immediately when we are ‘out’, have abandoned and lost ourselves to whatever we allowed to take a hold.

    2. A simple and practical tool and when used consistently we become masters of our own lives, rather than at the mercy of events and dramas within and around us.

  129. When first working with The Gentle Breath Meditation it was as if a large old door had been opened to reveal something long forgotten – a spaciousness, settlement and re-connection within my body and my spine, feeling it was a conductor of a energy, like a bolt of lightening surging through my spine from the crown of my head.

  130. ‘Within the stillness I have been able to let go of many hurts by seeing the truth of situations.’ This is very powerful Rosemary, it shows how important it is for us to connect to stillness and if we fight it, then we simply stay in our hurts and issues.

  131. Breathing our own breath brings a settlement to our bodies, a few moments of reprieve from the chaos of life we have taken on … and the more breathing our own breath we able to bring in our day, the less we are affected by life.

  132. Prior to Universal Medicine, I used to hear conversations around someone ‘suddenly’ getting sick and/or dying and comments like ‘it just came out of nowhere’ and I was in total agreeance. In my observations now after being inspired through Universal Medicine and their healing modalities, and building a stronger relationship with my body, I realise that our body sends us messages all the time when something is not quite right. But you have to bring in this connection and more stillness to be able to hear the more subtle ones, otherwise you only get to hear the louder ones where a serious illness and/or death can be on the cards.

  133. Before being introduced to the Gentle Breath Meditation, if anyone had suggested that most of the time I wasn’t ‘breathing my own breath’ I would have laughed and replied ‘of course I am’. But it took only a few truly gentle breaths to know the truth of this statement and that in fact, I had spent most of my life breathing in reaction to the tensions in my life, to other’s people’s stuff and to whatever was going on in the world. To now know what breathing my own breath feels like, alerts me the moment I begin to allow external factors to change how I am breathing and to then quickly return to the rhythm of breath that is mine, and mine alone.

  134. Still today bringing my attention to the quality and rhythm of my breath instantly gives me a check in with myself, like a moment of assessment and where necessary an opportunity for adjustment.

  135. Before Universal Medicine I took no notion of my breath, let alone that I realized that I was not breathing my own breath. I always breathed through my mouth. Learning to breath through my nose again and clock when I would go beck to my mouth and the accompanying change in quality I could feel within myself, gave me a huge amount of insight into myself and supported my personal development.

    1. I’ve noticed that I breath through my mouth when I feel rushed or in need to push through things and when I do breath through my mouth it’s actually quite easy to end up kind of panting, whereas when I breath through my nose, it automatically slows my breathing down and it’s almost impossible to pant.

  136. Rosemary I have been saying exactly the same. If I could pass on only one thing, it would be the Gentle Breath Mediation. It is so powerful in its simplicity, it brings us to a much needed stop, helps us to centre and to see and hear the message from our body again. This is of course a start, but without this start we would not be getting anywhere. Ever.

    1. Yes I agree, you can take it with you anywhere any time like the best loving guide you could have. You don’t have to find time to be with your breath because we are breathing all the time and observing the quality whether there is any in inconsistency in our breath and adjusting it where needed is a huge help in particularly in intense situations.

  137. ‘Within the stillness I have been able to let go of many hurts by seeing the truth of situations.’ The beautiful thing about stillness is that there is not a single ounce of emotion, and in this place, it becomes much easier to observe everything. The challenge is to live with this stillness as a constant. This takes dedication.

    1. .. and no matter how many times I leave the stillness it is always there for me to come back to. Its power never falters. It is constant and always waiting.

  138. I can really relate to being ‘in my head and not realising this. I’m becoming aware of how often this happens and also how much deeper I can be in my body. Breathing my own breath and not the situation is something I keep returning to. It’s crazy to realise that I can breathe the stress of a situation that I have made up, a fantasy in my head. I lived from a fear all my life that wasn’t relevant to the situation even though I believed it was. This has affected my health, my relationships, everything. So returning to my breathing, my breath is invaluable.

  139. ‘At times I was able to feel the beauty of myself throughout my body, like a big smile shining and vibrating in every cell. This opening up to the intelligence and beauty of my body showed me how to care for and nurture myself and helped me to realise what an amazing gift my body is.’ As we appreciate our bodies we are more able to respect and honour them for the magical containers, vehicles, receivers and transmitters they are and on a very visceral level we can feel the exquisite delicateness and preciousness too.

  140. “If I could pass on only one thing to support another person in their healing it would have to be the Gentle Breath Meditation™, as taught by Serge Benhayon.” This is because one connects to space rather than time.

  141. When I place and give importance to the connection to my body because of what that feels like within my body and the impact this has in the world, I can hold myself in creation or that which is going on around me and not be affected. The key is to commit to me 100%.

  142. For all my life, I thought that the part of me I wanted to connect with intimately was in my head. But it’s in my body; the place where I feel God. I often try to ‘think’ my way down into my body, but that is a misdirection! The assured way is to follow our breath back there.

  143. Discombobulating our bodies (and I include our breath in that) is how we are infiltrated, which is why the forces that are working around the clock to slow our return to truth, continually target our bodies and our breath. They know full well that our bodies are Home Base and if we manage to make it back to them then the game is over Red Rover. Emotions play havoc with both our bodies and our breathing and when you consider for a nano second what an emotional world we live in then it’s easy to feel the turmoil that abounds.

  144. “This opening up to the intelligence and beauty of my body showed me how to care for and nurture myself and helped me to realise what an amazing gift my body is.” Listening to the intelligence of our body is the greatest and truest guide we have to care and nurture ourselves.

    1. It certainly is jstewart51, no one knows our body more intimately than ourselves and being open to listen and honour what our body is telling us, is a wise and intelligent choice.

  145. The title of this amazing blog prompted me to question …. if we’re not breathing our own breath, with energetic awareness, who’s breath are we breathing? Could it be that, energetically, we are being breathed from something other than the love that we are?

  146. I have held my breath it seems my whole life but never noticed until doing The Gentle Breath Meditation which brought awareness to my breathing patterns. It is a powerful marker to come back to every time we notice the tension from holding our breath.

    1. Without a marker it is difficult to understand and at times even be clear about what it is we are experiencing, even when we can tell something is not right. It is wonderful having the Gentle Breath Meditation as support that helps you establish loving markers for yourself – and keep deepening them as you go.

    2. Yes I feel I’ve breathed so shallowly all my life, just like in the films where people are hiding from the monster and hoping not to be detected. My breath is a reflection for how full I am living life, and any shallowness is me hiding. Staying present with me is to breathe deeply and feel all there is to feel, so I respond to life rather than retreat. It’s a choice I make to be here no matter what, choosing to be seen.

  147. My love for the Benhayons is beyond words as well. Not in a fall over yourself/give yourself away kinda way, but a deep love and appreciation for them in showing the world a way of living where self-care, self-love and self-honesty can be lived in a playful, truthful and powerful way.

  148. Breathing our own breath is pure gold – it allows us to remain steady and true to ourselves whilst everything around us may be in chaos.

    1. When we remain steady, we are able to hold perspective, observe and be objective, truly support others, and respond with appropriate decisions rather than react and add to the chaos. So very awesome.

  149. When I started practicing the Gentle Breath Meditation I could feel a great settlement return to my body. Something that I had not felt for a long time. A settlement with me. A place that is within that has never left me. That settlement was a feeling of returning home.

    1. I too have felt a return to this settlement in my body since practicing the Gentle Breath Meditation, Jennifer. ‘A place within that has never left me’ regardless of how many times I tried to leave it! There has never been a yummier feeling of returning home.

  150. It’s been fascinating to observe in myself how I’ve thought I am ‘past’ using the Gentle Breath. Yet when I do it it’s so clear it is extremely supportive. It highlights to me how this simple technique brings accountability to our spirit which chronically avoids that.

    1. I too have had thoughts of not needing to use the Gentle Breath … oh how the arrogance of our spirit loves to play games. Breathing is foundational to our lives, and therefore it is always something we can come back to at anytime no matter the situation, even simply to meditate.

  151. I never realised the way I breathed was so crucial to my experience of life and the quality of my expression, until I was introduced to Gentle Breath Meditation as taught by Universal Medicine.

    1. Same here Golnaz. I never thought to consider this prior to Universal Medicine, and now there are so many things in life I have become aware of that have helped me immensely with every aspect of my life, from relationships to work and to being more open, loving and understanding.

  152. We breathe as soon as we are born yet we never talk about breathing, it is taken for-granted as something that just happens. However what I have learnt from Universal Medicine, Serge Benhayon and The Gentle Breath Meditation is gold as it shows us we can breathe in a way that is shallow and not truly connecting to ourselves and we can live this way all our life without ever really knowing it, that is until you have tried The Gentle Breath Meditation as even doing this just once reveals so much to ourselves about how we live and have lived #makeitabouttrueconnection ✨

    1. It’s quite astounding that we never, or hardly ever ‘talk about breathing’ yet it is something we are doing in every moment. I have been working with a practitioner for a breathing disorder for a couple of years now and she has shared that most people do not breath their own true breath, that most have a breathing disorder. Crazy, when you think we can’t do without our breath, so exactly how is this affecting the quality of our health and our lives? I now know how severely it had affected mine.

  153. Focusing on the breath through the nose, as taught by Serge Benhayon is powerfully transformative. The whole body responds in a way that other meditations do not achieve. I find my body lets go and eases into a settlement that goes beyond a feeling of peace, but more of a stillness. I am leaning to maintain this quality when I move and carry out everyday tasks… all this needs is awareness of my breath and body movement as I walk through my day.

  154. This is the most remarkable meditation as it can be done at any time during the day or night with immediate effect. Before meeting this meditation I used to wonder what the point of it all was, as very little seemed to bring any defined or permanent change, but 12 years on this is meditation is now a trusted friend that enables me to consistently keep body and soul together in the midst of a very busy world.

    1. So true, Rowena, this amazingly powerful practice can be done absolutely anywhere. I prefer to do it with my eyes closed but have equally used the GB meditation with my eyes open, when in meetings or confronting situations, to re-connect with my body and feel the steadiness within. The true gift here is that in so doing, it supports me to allow the space to observe the situation more, rather than jumping in boots and all in absolute reaction, which was my modus operandi.

    2. ‘..this is meditation is now a trusted friend that enables me to consistently keep body and soul together in the midst of a very busy world.’ Beautifully, beautifully said, rowenakstewart, and I couldn’t agree more. A trusted friend to be called upon wherever I am, whatever situation I find myself in in a world that champions separation not only in the body from the soul, but from each other as well.

  155. It really could not be simpler. All we have to do is bring our attention to the quality of our breath and ask the question: are we breathing for ourselves, in our rhythm, present and steady or are we breathing governed by an external pace or stimulus. And then if we are not doing the former being open to explore what it is we put in the way of this care, responsibility and attention.

  156. Attention to the quality of one’s breath brings attention to one’s life and to the living of it.

  157. When you start to breathe your own breath it starts to become obvious how owned we are when we do not choose this for ourselves. Things like daydreaming, worrying for no reason, making things up that will never happen, off in some fantasy – all become so obvious and such a waste of time.

    1. I have been working with self doubt lately, appreciating how in every moment we have the choice to trust in what we know to be true within or allow the pointless, destructive thoughts that are fed to us from somewhere else entirely, to pull us down. Rather than jumping to conclusions when I don’t hear back from someone, creating all sorts of potential reasons as to why things are not going to work out, I have chosen to stop these thoughts, by trusting in what I know to be true. In that, I can feel how supportive that is for the other person too, not to feel the expectation and impatience from another, rather, the understanding that everyone has a lot going on and sometimes things can’t progress as quickly as we may like.

  158. In my journey of looking for something more in life with modalities that were offering answers, they all came close but missed the mark. The Gentle breath is the only one that connected you to yourself.

  159. Rosemary, what you are sharing is very simple and yet life changing; ‘I learnt that the more I brought myself back from emotional upset through breathing gently, the easier it was to see the situation for what it was and let go of it.’ I can hang onto emotional upset and allow this go around in my head – this feels very painful and squashes my joy. I love that something as simple as the gentle breath can allow us to re-connect and let go of the emotions around a situation.

  160. From the first moment I began to do the Gentle Breath Meditation, and felt a most beautiful connection to myself begin to grow, I realised that I had finally discovered the ultimate meditation, a far cry from all the other forms I had tried over the years. When meditation doesn’t need to take you on a walk somewhere, have you chanting mantras, but brings you connection to yourself from simply focusing on the in breath and the out breath, you know that this is the figurative pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you’ve always been looking for.

  161. Breathing our own breath supports us to observe situations and to not get drawn in, it’s particularly helpful in stressful situations to observe the way we are breathing.

  162. That was a very wonderful sharing about your experience with the Gentle Breath meditation. Thank you so much for not holding back what you have found out about it. Your words are such an invitation to do the gentle breath meditation as well!

  163. ‘… this same Love that I am is within everyone, all of humanity, opening me to embrace others in a way that I had not been able to do before.’ – as we deepen our love for our selves, we enrich every single relationship that we have. How beautiful and powerful that our breath re-connects us with this truth.

  164. Like you, I was so totally in my head, I would escape there to the place that I felt had all the answers, one where I could make anything a reality. But in that, I felt deeply lost in life, the surface was great but underneath I was hurt. As I started the gentle breath I started to embrace life again.

    1. Once out of my head I realise how constricting living solely from there is. There is a lot more space, fun and wisdom in my whole body’s intelligence and responsiveness to life.

    2. Being in our heads creates such a disconnection from our bodies and is a very superficial way of living life because we dont feel the underlying momentums and energies at play – the lack of self worth, the hurts and anger, etc. By breathing our own breath we come back to feeling our bodies and the depth of wisdom they constantly offer us.

  165. That through our breath we can bring ourselves back to ourselves just shows me the divine simplicity and power of our being and the innate wisdom that lives in our body. Any complication that I’m tempted to bring into my life I know I’m just disrupting the order that is there to support me in my everyday life – no matter if what I’ve got to do in my day seems complicated, it doesn’t have to be.

  166. When you watch a young baby breathe, unless they are born with a breathing condition, they naturally know how to breathe and the gentle breath meditation is probably very natural to them. But as adults it looks like we have to relearn how to breathe. Something so simple yet we have to relearn if we are not breathing in connection to our soul.

    1. I totally agree with this, having kids and seeing them breathe there is absolute surrender in their bodies. Perhaps the thing is that we learn to not breathe who we are, and then have to use a technique like the gentle breath, when in fact we already had this as a kid.

  167. I have recently been working on being aware when i am holding my breath – as I do tasks, when i am anxious, when I’m uncomfortable in a situation, I find the first thing that i let go of is my breathing, literally holding my breath. When I catch myself now, I let any tension go and come back to my breathing.

    1. Yes, myself too Rebecca, it’s like a very dear friend reminding me to come back to gentleness and it is starting to feel alien to be breathing high up in my chest instead of breathing a longer deeper breath which just feels lovely in comparison.

    2. I too have been a breath holder for most of my life, but didn’t realise it until a couple of years ago, as it had simply become part of how I lived. This discovery made sense of so much in my life on a physical level but at the same time opened up the question as to why I would have developed such a damaging pattern. And the why was that as a child there were times that were so scary that holding my breath and not moving came naturally. Like you I still catch myself doing so, but with the awareness I now have, those moments are getting fewer and fewer.

    3. Me too Rebecca … and holding my breath pretty much happens from the minute I get out of bed in the morning! A reaction to the world from the get go or avoiding connecting and being the gorgeous, powerful woman I could be – or both?!

  168. “I have been able to look at myself honestly and openly, ponder and reflect on ideals, beliefs and ingrained habits and have learnt to appreciate and love myself for who I truly am”

This is life. Right here. An honest appraisal of how you are living and learning to love and appreciate yourself. From there you go into the world as a fuller version of you. (note not better, just fuller – we are already amazing).

  169. It is is very interesting how you mention that we are living in a body, yet most of the time we are not aware of our body because we are so much in our thoughts about the future or past. It is true and it is a great comment to make, as we think we can do everything from our mind, but time does show as in it gets exhausted, burned out, illness and so forth.

  170. We always have a choice in every situation – we can react or respond. When we breathe our own breath it supports us to respond to life – to observe, bring understanding and then respond in a way that supports everyone to move forward.

  171. Breathing our own breath supports us to stay steady in our everyday, to not get caught up in the many and varied dramas that can occur.

  172. I nodded, smiled and recognised so much reading this article. To have been shown a technique (The Gentle Breath Meditation) that offers us the space to get to truly know and be ourselves is absolute gold, particularly in a world that is tight, intense and unrelentingly racy.

  173. We are all funnels for energy, we are not the individuals that we believe ourselves to be and unless we state claim to our bodies with techniques like the gentle breath meditation, or having our mind with our body, then our funnels will be used to convey a consciousness that seeks to keep us in separation from the truth.

  174. The Gentle Breath Meditation I found to be essential for learning how to bring myself to a stop. To check in. It also invites you to observe your own body and how it is feeling. It’s the beginning of a way to learn to really tune in and and understand what our bodies communicate. It confirms to us that we are more that the physical body that we inhabit.

  175. I have practiced the Gentle Breath Mediation for years and equally it has supported me to heal. While I don’t sit and practice it as I used to, reading this was a great reminder that my breath is something I can return to when tension is being felt.

  176. The teachings of Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon are deeply healing including The Gentle Breath Meditation connecting us back to our body and the truth of who we are.

    1. It is interesting how we champion the mind and often treat the rest of our body with an element of disdain for not being as we ‘think’ we would like it do be. However, our mind is nothing at all without the rest of our body, every aspect of our body is equally important to make it the exquisite, incredibly wise gift that it is.

  177. Gentle Breath Meditation™ brings me to see and feel the result of my choices within my body. As I’m experiencing, it’s not a tool for relief or to find calmness, but to reconnect to the truth of what is going on from inside. By now there is a tension that I don’t like to feel and I want to run away from. I’m realizing how many conditions I put on loving and accepting myself just as I am. But after reading your words Rosemary, I am inspired to be even more gentle with myself today and to stay connected with me, no matter what. Thank you

  178. The Gentle Breath Meditation offers us the space to reconnect with ourselves and let go of the ingrained ideals and beliefs that have run our lives for way too long. The stillness that is offered when we choose to breathe gently gives an opportunity to listen deeply and respond, rather than reacting to life. It brings such simplicity and clarity and so much unnecessary baggage just falls away. A truly life changing modality that is available to all equally.

  179. ‘If I could pass on only one thing to support another person in their healing it would have to be the Gentle Breath Meditation™, as taught by Serge Benhayon.’ I couldn’t agree more.

  180. When we stay breathing our own breath we are in the present moment, not in thoughts of the past or future.

    1. Exactly Jstewart51, the Gentle Breath Meditation is brilliant for anyone who has a busy mind and finds it hard to focus on day to day tasks and commit to life. Also, it is great for people who suffer from anxiety, negative thoughts and who daydream a lot. I think this pretty much covers most of humanity if not all.

      1. We can so easily allow our minds to consume and waste so much time and effort on things that either do not matter, or will never happen anyway as they are made up stories that we peruse in our heads, taking us away from feeling the reality of what is actually going on around us.

      1. The Gentle Breath Meditation™ is one of the gateways to connecting with our body/mind which is the ‘stalwart connection to the truth’.

  181. When we react to something or someone our breath becomes the breath of the reaction, we are no longer breathing our own breath. When we breath our own breath, as one learns to establish through the Gentle Breath Meditation™, we remain connected to oneself, to observe and instead of reacting to the situation are able to respond.

  182. This simple, profound meditation tool has been a massive game changer for me as I have found a way to transform entrenched habits and reactions just by choosing to breathe gently and so divert my attention away from the reaction, back to my body and hence re-connect with my common sense. Phew, at last, a meditation that really delivers.

  183. We all breathe right? from the moment we are born and take that first breath until our last. Yet the gentle breath meditation was the first time I I was taught to breathe so consciously – to be present with all of me, my body and be present as I did so. Like a miracle – life transforming – and so simple.

  184. “I lived either in the past – a past of hurts, self-abuse, poor choices and blame – or the future: ” I too used to lived so much not present with myself or my body. Unlike any other breathing or meditation technique I had previously tried – which took me away from myself with distractions and visualisations – the gentle breath meditation brought me back to me – being present and in my body.

  185. Gorgeous sharing Rosemary, for me there is nothing more exquisite than breathing my own breath and feeling the true and real me. So much in life tries to breathe us and take us away from ourselves that we need a tool like the Gentle Breath Meditation to help bring us back.

  186. The Gentle Breath is great for those moments of anxiety. No longer do you feel at the mercy of something that could go into a panic attack or be physically sick. In fact, those reactions to life become a thing of the past.

  187. An awesome blog, Rosemary, I can relate to all you express here. I present the Gentle Breath Meditation to groups and the stillness in the room is beautiful to feel. It is so simple, yet so profound in its effects.

  188. ‘The true depth of living quality behind this method of breathing, when practiced consistently, establishes a stillness which allows a truer way of living.’ – what a gift to behold that’s totally free and readily available through something that we do every minute of every day.

    1. I agree Alison and remembering this gift is ‘free and readily available through something that we do every minute of every day’ is the thing to remember that it is never to late, or too far out of reach.

  189. For a very long time I was involved in what I perceived to be an ‘inner journey’ only to discover later that all I’d been doing was scuffing around on the perimeters.

    1. Going within requires us to let go of judgement and connect with our Soul but the many imposters that offer ‘bliss’ etc serve to keep us disconnected from our true self and continually searching. When we simply focus on our breath we have no goal but can feel the stillness and space offered without anywhere to get to.

  190. The body is our gateway to our Soul, so the more we learn to build a relationship with our body the more it brings us to hear the wisdom of the Soul. The Gentle Breath Meditation is a beautiful way to connect to the body and hence allow what can be to unfold in its natural way.

  191. ‘But I can assure you that the Gentle Breath Meditation™ was the beginning of a huge healing process for me’, the process of healing happens when we are truly with ourselves.

  192. The Gentle Breath Meditation as taught by Serge Benhayon, has got to be one of the most simple and yet most powerful tools I have every come across. I know it may sound very grandiose to say it like this, but it truly has changed my life too – simply by the fact that by practicing it consistently, I have been able to re-awaken my connection with my body and learned to live in a way that is far more natural and supportive. This is Gold in a world where connection to the body is not encouraged, nurtured nor honoured.

  193. Breathing consciously is making a stand, it closes the gap between us and ourselves and therefore makes it much harder for the forces of separation to enter and have their way.

  194. The quality of our breath is something not many of us would consider paying attention to. But after reading your blog Rosemary, it reminds us how important it is that we breathe our own breath so we can stay connected to our body and to our essence, and therefore to all.

  195. Who would have thought something as simple as breathing gently would and could have such a huge impact on lives, the results in my life have also been profound.

  196. Although I didn’t find it easy at first, with a little perseverance the gentle breath meditation allowed me to feel who I really was within being fully aware of everything around me.

  197. The love, stillness, harmony and joy of who we all truly are can be felt in your sharing here Rosemary – so inspiring to feel what we can offer others through writing and expressing our truth.

  198. The Gentle Breath Meditation allows us to connect to a different quality – a quality that deepens the more we practise and breathe this way. A very beautiful bridge to the love that we are.

  199. My friend recommended me the Gentle Breath meditation quite a few years ago and at the end of the conversation she said something like….just know that it is quite a powerful meditation, big things can happen. And I was like…ok…whatever (kind of?!), how life changing/powerful can a meditation be? As I had tried various meditations over the years and yes had achieved certain states but would not describe them as super powerful. But she was right, as beautifully explained in your blog here today, it is a very powerful meditation because it connects you to your body and your own breath and from there we can be connected to the infinite wisdom of your own Soul and Universal Wisdom which is indeed very powerful.

    1. Yes, it’s incredibly powerful. For me it gave me a simple choice – do I continue the flights of fancy I go on in life, or do I come back to truth that I feel in my body beneath all the layers of rubbish I’d let in?

    2. So true Sarah! it sounds too simple and easy to be life transforming and yet it is incredibly amazing!

    3. Brilliant sharing Sarah. Breathing is something we do from the moment we are born to our very last breath before death, but often we don’t pay much attention to the quality of our breath throughout life. This blog and your comment highlight how important the quality of our breath is, as it also determines the quality of our life.

  200. Learning the Gentle Breath Meditation has quite literally transformed my life. I would never have thought a few years ago how something so simple could be so profound. Yet, it is. It quite simply offers a calmness of presence and well-being that stems from the body the inside to out.

  201. The Gentle Breath was the fiest time I have actually felt my body – not from the head – but from the actual parts of my body that we’re talking very loudly.

    1. Ditto, HM, it was the first time I chose to re-connect and feel my body for a very, very long time – it was a shock, but a very lovely one, that the gorgeousness that I was feeling was actually me.

    2. This was so true for me as well. Like I ‘thought’ I was feeling my body, but when practicing The Gentle Breath it is so revealing and exposing, and what I could see and feel was how the whole time I lived from my head, and not from my heart or the rest of my body.

  202. All this and just through changing the way you breathe!!! Something where you do not need to rely on another person, is simple and free. I have started to introduce the Gentle Breath Meditation in my morning routine when I wake and only this morning before clicking on your blog appreciated just what it exposes it gently and loving shows me the momentum I have lived in and calls me to come back to me. So beautiful and something everyone should have access to.

    1. Amazing isn’t it Vicky? Breathing is something we do automatically but being aware of what quality we breathe in and out can be very powerful. Having awareness means we can choose what quality we breathe into our body, an energy that is healing or harming.

  203. Gorgeous Rosemary, you have captured the exquisiteness of The Gentle Breath Meditation and how much it is able to support us to make loving changes in our lives. It really is amazing the space it allows us when we get out of our head and into our body, all the conversations that we have in our head disappear. I very much recognise all the ones you mention, there was a constant repertoire that kept my mind busy at the expense of my body. Now whenever I am a little out of sorts, just stopping and allowing myself the space to breathe gently is super powerful and brings myself back to the gentleness and simplicity that I now know so well.

  204. It makes sense that when we focus on something we do in every moment of our day, like breathing, and allow this to be gentle and loving this will be felt in how we are and in everything we do.

  205. I also still remember the first moment that I felt the warmth in my body of breathing my own breath, not caught up in the spin of life but feeling at ease in myself and with myself. I then realised how little of my own breath I lived and felt.

    1. Same for me David, and so many people may not be aware they are not breathing their own breath and may even think this is normal. Your comment and this blog highlights what we are missing out on when we are not breathing our own breath, the deep connection to ourselves.

    1. Very true, Alexis, we become a puppet for energy that is not love to affect and manipulate our every movement.

  206. As with you, Rosemary, and with so many other people I know, the Gentle Breath Meditation™ has been a foundational and key step in my journey of true healing.

  207. Thank you Rosemary for such a clear description of the Gentle Breath Meditation™ made all the more eloquent by sharing your personal experience of its benefits.

  208. I totally agree with you Rosemary when you say
“For this I cannot express enough my deep appreciation for the Gentle Breath Meditation™ as taught by Serge Benhayon, which facilitated the opening up of a truer way of being within myself. In the world it gave me a space just to be, and to accept and love myself, which has brought me to where I am now, today, a place I couldn’t have imagined being years ago, with the knowledge that there is so much more of my true self yet to return to.”
Serge Benhayon has given the world a simple tool that we can all use to reconnect back to ourselves to bring stillness into a motion packed world, that can be quite disorientating to be in.

  209. “Within the stillness I have been able to let go of many hurts by seeing the truth of situations” – very true Rosemary, in stillness I find myself and in this perspective also find understanding.

    1. So simple and yet so remarkable… when we choose to bring ourselves back to ourselves, with a conscious focus on the quality of our breath, everything opens up and there is so much space for understanding, learning and love.

  210. Connecting to the breath begins a journey of discovering oneself and is a process of deepening the connection to live from within, as opposed to aligning and living the breath that is not our own but the breath from the outside of oneself.

  211. “I learnt that the more I brought myself back from emotional upset through breathing gently, the easier it was to see the situation for what it was and let go of it.” Yes, breathing gently through my nose has supported me but also others who were in an emotional state when I suggested they breathe gently too. Its power is amazing.

  212. “Prior to learning and practising this way of breathing I was living totally ‘in my head’ –– not that I was aware of this fact at the time.” I can relate to this Rosemary. I was so out of my body but always in my head – the gentle breath meditation supported me to transform my life and return to the true me – and stillness.

  213. Rosemary, what you are sharing about the gentle breath is amazing to read, what huge changes this has bought about in your life to way you feel. I can relate to being caught up in my head and then when I re-connect with myself and am present in my body, everything feels very simple.

  214. “When sitting quietly I could feel the most exquisite love and joy throughout my entire being and knew this as my connection to God”. Thank you Rosemary for sharing with the world the immense and Heavenly gift this Gentle Breath Meditation is, bringing us home to our body simply by restoring the quality of our breathing. Simple, Powerful, Real.

    1. The power of the universal medicine therapies like The Gentle Breath is transformative for life. I found this a very foundational technique for my entire life.

  215. It is so simple yet profound choosing our breath to lead and guide us on our way. I often find myself pausing to bring myself back to my breath in my day. Choosing this movement supports me greatly to be present with my body.

  216. A powerful and truthful testimony to the lasting and vast changes that this simple Gentle Breath Meditation can bring to our daily lives as a foundation for true well-being when working with this technique consistently.

    1. Even just committing to doing the Genle Breath Meditation daily has an enormous impact on our lives.

  217. The Gentle Breath meditation allows me to observe and discern what is within and around me. This is life changing, really empowering and freeing all at one, as it reminds me that it is at my hands the choice of being aware and all the choices that come after that.

  218. Thank you Rosemary for sharing your experience with the Gentle Breath Meditation. I can relate to every word written here – a beautiful reflection of the deep changes I also continue to enjoy since being introduced to this simple technique.
“It was such an astonishing change that it seems hardly possible that such a simple thing as breathing gently through your nose could bring this about, but I can assure you that the Gentle Breath Meditation™ was the beginning of a huge healing process for me”.

  219. Breathing is something we mostly do without thinking or commanding, yet we do it many, many times day and night. So, really, if we are not choosing to breathe our own breath, or in what quality, what are we really breathing?
