Living in Joy

Last week while on my morning walk, I felt to pick these silver flowers for the design department I’m working with. While I was walking to the office, I felt joy and gratitude for having this job, but also for the life I live.

When I share with others that this is how I feel whether it’s Monday morning or Sunday, they are surprised. “You’re very lucky,” they say. But it’s not a matter of luck, it’s a choice, a choice to bring my all in every aspect of my life and not make work any different.

This means to care for and nurture myself before and after working so when I sit in front of my computer, everything I live is with me. At the end of the day when I finish off, I make sure the desk is tidy and clean, ready to receive me for the next day.

I’m not the owner of the company but the care I bring to my job position is the same as if I were the boss, making sure to be in my natural joy and vitality as a matter of responsibility because the end result of what I design is going to be touched by that.

Art and design are more than creating beautiful drawings. It’s feeling every angle of the design, connecting with the people involved in the project, my colleagues, the future clients and final consumers.

Every day should be joyful. We deserve to feel the joy of being content with ourselves. Why is this not the norm for every single human being on earth? We are as precious and delicate as the flowers I took that day – nothing more and nothing less. We need loving care and nourishment to bring what we are here to bring. Otherwise something really valuable in what we express and deliver is missing. It’s all about life and the way we live it.

Honouring my sensitivity, giving myself the space to know how to support myself during the day allows me to be in joy. It’s a feeling of warmth and rejoicing that comes along with me. Today and every day I’m coming back to me. When we are in love with ourselves everything gets enriched by our presence and we really make the difference this world is needing.

Joy resides within. It is not a fluffy emotional state. It doesn’t need something special to occur to be present. It’s a quality that comes from my inner-most. I came into this world in my natural joy as a child. This doesn’t mean that I was smiling all the time. I felt still, warm, sensitive to everything that was happening around. And yet, for so long I lost it, I forgot the treasure I was. I walked with my light off, but now I can feel it again. I don’t need to hold onto it like it’s going to be lost. It is with me all the time because it’s who I am. With this choice I free myself up from the need to search outside myself for something that makes me happy. I don’t need it, because something greater resides within me.

For some time now, I’ve been including more appreciation in my life. This means taking stock of the moments of connection I can experience. It has nothing to do with pampering myself for the ‘good things’ I can do. It’s more about confirming myself for who I am and the significant change I make just for being me. By being present, everything feels more at ease and complete. Remaining with me, in my body, brings me the clarity to know where I am in every given moment.

So, what makes my life joyful today?

It’s me in my presence. Witnessing the tender care and sensitivity that comes through my body is what makes my day. No wonder when the working day is finished I feel complete, simply living in the joy and being ‘me’.

  1. I love that you have not held back in claiming and appreciating the joy and what is innately within. This speaks to me of Brotherhood and knowing that what is within you is also available and within me.

  2. These words caught my attention, ‘It’s more about confirming myself for who I am and the significant change I make just for being me. By being present, everything feels more at ease and complete. Remaining with me, in my body, brings me the clarity to know where I am in every given moment.’ This presence allows us to be stuck in the mud of creation but not of it. This is very freeing and is humanity’s birthright as we do not belong on this plane of life but come from the stars and we will all return to them as this is the undeniable law of the universe.

  3. When you notice the hand of God in your life it’s impossible to avoid feeling joy in your heart, because that’s what matters at the end of the day – the way we said yes to our true light.

  4. I totally understand what you are sharing Inma
“I forgot the treasure I was. I walked with my light off, but now I can feel it again. I don’t need to hold onto it like it’s going to be lost. It is with me all the time because it’s who I am. With this choice I free myself up from the need to search outside myself for something that makes me happy. I don’t need it, because something greater resides within me.”
I had completely forgotten the true science that we are light, we come from the light of the universe. We are educated to believe we are no more than dense bodies but this is not true. We are all accepting a lesser life one of misery and withdrawl where we look for those infrequent high points of ‘being happy’ which we cannot sustain because being happy cannot be sustained. What I have discovered like you Inma is that there is a joy that resides within us naturally so and when we reconnect back to that vibrational quality then we realise that happiness is transient and has no place when joy is in town.

    1. True Mary, joy is greatest than anything. It has very much to do with the embodiment of the beauty we already are. Being in the full contentment for who we are is our birthright, and we don’t deserve less than that.

  5. I love the simplicity and clarity that you offer Inma – life can be a reflection of everything we innately are and every move we make. Our movements speak louder than words and convey the vibration of heaven when we connect deeply to our Soul.

    1. ‘Our movements speak louder than words and convey the vibration of heaven when we connect deeply to our Soul.’ The richness and beauty of this expression is timeless, beyond this world, and yet very tangible and simple once we connect to it. Love having this amazing opportunity that life offers us to expand from this quality and to share it with everyone around.

    1. Thank you, Gabriele. Walking in full appreciation of all that we are is the greatest treasure everyone could ever receive. And it’s an honor to bring that to the world.

  6. Inma, as I read your blog I could feel the delicateness and joy that you are, and what I love about that is that is shows me how we are all connected. I live on the other side of the planet, we may never meet in person, but energetically we can share a vibration that is exquisite to feel. You communicated something that is possible for every reader of your words, what a gift thank you!

    1. Thank you Bernadette. Your sharing brings me to appreciate the power of our expression and the energy we bring in every step we make, in every word we speak…it’s very precious to feel the enrichment we may offer to others just by deepening in the beauty within ourselves. This is something I received thanks to coming across Universal Medicine and now is just a joy to deliver my experience with everyone.

    2. What you are both sharing is that there is an energetic quality within us all that if we are in connection to then we can all feel the same vibration. We are if you like all tapping into the same radio wave, this radio wave is exquisite to feel as you say because it is who we are. For life times the greater part of humanity has been tuned into a different vibration or radio wave one that has us fighting and in competition to each other which brings a sense of individuality. To reconnect back to the delicateness and joy that we naturally are brings harmony to our bodies which everyone can feel and supports us to remember that we too can tap into the same radio wave and reconnect back to the joy that resides in all of us.

    3. What you are sharing with us all Bernadette is that we are greater and grander in our connection to each other than in our separation.
