It is a clean crisp dawn on the Mount of Olives, birds fly overhead and the sun rises on the old city of Jerusalem. There is a hum of activity in the distance as news crew and onlookers gather for the arrival of ‘the messiah’, one of the most anticipated events in human history.
Thankfully God had given humanity plenty of notice as the specially formed committee took many years to work out the seating arrangements and make sure clergy of all faiths had been invited and sat in the right order.
Behind the enclave of clergy were barriers for the general public who wore T-shirts, hats and held commemorative placards welcoming ‘the One’. The clergy preened and adjusted their regalia, everyone moving with a nervous excitement.
At the appointed hour, a man stepped forth from behind an olive tree. He wore no special clothes, arrived without thunder or light parting through the clouds. The man has a presence but he was also ordinary. The clergy didn’t know what to do, was this a member of the public that had jumped the fence?
He steps up to the waiting microphone and waits in silence, until one of the clergy asks “Who are you?”.
“I am a son of God” comes the reply.
The crowd cheered as they hear the words they had been waiting for, but some of the clergy grew suspicious.
“What do you mean a son of God, don’t you mean THE son of God, how do we know you are who you say you are?” one of the clergy responded.
After some time he said “We are all sons of God, equally so. I am no different to you or you to each other”.
“Show us a miracle; prove to us who you are” they demanded.
“I live everyday with joy, love and vitality” he responded simply.
“Yes, yes but tell us something about God we don’t know” came the abrupt reply.
“You already know God, he lives within you” was the answer.
“Jesus already said that; tell us something we don’t know…” they persisted.
“You have created an illusion that life is what you think it is, rather than living simply from the inner heart”, was his simple response.
“Buddha already said that, tell us who will be saved”, they demanded again.
“Anyone that chooses to put love for themselves, their body and their light will be saved by themselves and in doing so will truly give love to others. It is the fear of your own light that you fight” he responded lightly, unperturbed.
“Yes, yes, now you’re just combining Patanjali and Nelson Mandela – tell us something new” was their impatient retort.
Again he replied with the same.
“There is nothing new here; there is nothing different to be said. The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.”
There was silence among the crowd. Some people walked away in despair, some started to shout out questions, some started to interpret what was said to suit their own ends. The clergy started to fight among themselves, simultaneously trying to discount the credibility of this man and about whose religion had taught these principles first.
The day descended into humanity once again choosing to search for an answer that was outside of their own choices, an answer that confirms what they have already chosen to believe, an answer that keeps everything as it is.
On that day humanity invested in complexity once again and preferred to restart the clock on its wait for ‘the real messiah’, rather than consider the possibility that all those messengers past and present saying the same thing, might be onto something.
God lovingly looked on, allowing man free will to chose how they learnt this simple lesson, wondering when his beloved children would realise the merry-go-round they live on, is of their own making.
But this is not the case for all of humanity…
There are more and more people all over the world who are no longer waiting and have taken their destiny into their own hands.
They wake rested from their nights sleep. They treat their body with tenderness, communicate with honesty, work with integrity and laugh with true joy. They are not perfect, but each drop into an old way of being serves to remind them of how amazing they are, rather than confirm that they can’t save themselves. Each choice builds from the last and makes the next easier to make. Each choice comes with a loving disciple that holds life with tenderness and grace.
They make these choices because each of them accepted that ‘they are a son of God’ and there is no better time to start living that fact than right now.
*** Dedicated to Serge Benhayon – Not the Messiah but an awesome example of a person living a loving way of being as best as one can.

Am I sensing a bit of a lack of self-worth issue here collectively?
“be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.” We spend so much time building identity and yet all along the kingdom of God resides within, our true essence, so what pride must we need to break down to let go of the identification, and embrace something that is already complete and there within us. It’s simplicity versus complication.
Joel yes yes yes, awesome account of what is happening right now.
Absolutely Joel, lets get on with it, as it has always been shared that we “save ourselves” and do not need a life boat to save us from the impending tsunami, of those within the ‘enclave’ of disbelievers.
If we are all the sons of God, what happened to us? Why are we living in a world where we have so many ideas of god, so many contradictions and disputes about what is truly going on. Why did we decide to live life the way we are living it? Why are we dishonest about our pain, why do we mask our struggles, why do we not connect to our essense why have we created a world that opposes everything that is divine and natural? I guess there are answers in these questions for each and every one of us.
No one else can do it for us or convince or convert us, we can only save ourselves.
Joel I love how you write so simply and what you have written is so true; we keep going round in circles because as you say, it keeps everything in order with no desire for humanity to evolve en masse.
“The day descended into humanity once again choosing to search for an answer that was outside of their own choices, an answer that confirms what they have already chosen to believe, an answer that keeps everything as it is.”
‘“You have created an illusion that life is what you think it is, rather than living simply from the inner heart”, was his simple response.’ This is so applicable to life as I was feeling it this morning. So many mental constructs put in the way of living a very loving and simple life, and not be intimidated by complexity but see its feeble attempt at dominating us. I know I am learning to let go of my reaction to complexity, seeing how I have chosen to be taken out by it, convinced I had to to survive in the world. Hating without giving complexity any energy, a work in progress for sure.
Still we are expecting to be saved by an all powerful being. To wipe away our ‘sins’ so we can enter the ‘garden of eden’. These ideals are there just so we abdicate our own responsibility towards how we live everyday. Surely we now have a few thousand years of history to show us this.
Such a huge difference between these two simple words, ‘the’ or ‘a’.
As long as we wait, we are in the comfort of not evolving and saving ourselves, while projecting our needs and expectations onto each other and a God we have reduced to a superior character outside of us by reducing ourselves to ungods.
I wouldn´t say that I have accepted being a son of God yet, not as a living presence and knowing in my body and everyday way of conducting myself in life, but I have accepted that I am the only one to save me from my self-chosen investment into not being a son of God.
Like you Alex i can feel I have not fully accepted and embodied being a son of God, but with each day I live knowing this, I can feel there is an inner strength building that is willing to claim this more and more.
Love reading this again, truth never gets old or tired, it always offers a reminder of what is possible and all that we have right now in front of us.
It is so true Joel, why do so many of us wait or look outside of ourselves for something that already lies within.
We search when the truth is within, it is simple, it asks for consistency and humble honesty….we think it is not flashy or snazzy enough…upon first inspection because it asks for responsibility, however from my experience the richness with this exploration and developing expression is priceless, astonishingly beautiful and without compare.
Yeah we definitely don’t like the straight forwardness of the Ageless wisdom as passed down by many teachers. I love how Joel shows how we pass over the gold in front of us, not wanting to truly hear or feel what has been presented.
This is awesome Joel – the tower of ~Babel brought to life, exposed for its self interest, and doomed to complication. As always your story cuts like a knife to expose the heart of the issue, usually layered under so much obfuscation.
If we cannot accept that we are each the equal Sons of God, then how will we ever remember that we are each gods reawakening?
When we realise the answer is within us all equally so, we realise that there cannot only be one son of God.
‘…..the choice has always been there…….’. And for how many lifetimes? Divinity is within us all and we are all multidimensional beings, yet how many live it? I’ve spent so long believing I was merely a physical being that being open to multidimensionality has blown my socks off.
When we understand that we are all hear to reflect the True Son-ship of God and it is up to us to claim our own way back to our Inner-Most, Essences or Esoteric way of living all one in the same it becomes clear that there is no special one.
Always love your writing Joel especially when it is so clear what is needed right now.
This blog is a religious text for now and the future.
What is it about humanity that thinks the truth must come bundled up in complexity, and when someone presenting the simplicity of the truth is standing right in front of them they don’t want to see or hear it? So many messengers of truth have stood before us over the centuries and few have realised the wisdom they have shared. Before we go looking far and wide for what we have come to believe the ‘real messiah’ it pays to check out the person standing in front of us, as he or she may just be the one we are looking for.
A beautiful sharing of how God walks with us and not above us. It is about what we see as equal, what we see in ourselves, and what we choose to see. That we are all the son of God.
How could God ever be above us when he flies through us in our particles. It’s so liberating to understand this so tangibly.
Why is it that we still demand proof rather than trust what we feel?
I think it is truly humbling and inspiring to consider that we are each equally ‘the One’ – that no one can save us for it is a choice that has to come from inside of ourselves but what we can do is support one another with the reflection we offer by our lived way.
Yes it is truly humbling and Empowering to be shown we can live with the responsibility of being the one. Not the other person but squarely at my feet!!! No one to save, just really choosing to feel that the same light flows through me.
Beautiful Fiona. Supporting each other and bringing understanding rather than judging when we fall offers a beautiful reflection for everyone around.
Such a beautiful example Joel of how it can be and most certainly has been all throughout time. I wonder if we would recognize “the one” if we met that “one”, the one that could touch our hearts enough for us to also realise that we are all equally that “one”.
Yes it is time we end this game of waiting for the One and only, we are the one, everyone is a son of God and we are all capable of living this as “You already know God, he lives within you” .
I think we actually loathe responsibility and prefer to dull and immerse ourselves in comfort. We can continue and implode or start to just be more living with ourselves and harness all that is there to be lived.
Never been a better time to start living with more love. Very true Joel the time is now and never has it been more needed.
With all that is given to us, to each of us and as a humanity, and all that is available for us to connect to, all that which reminds us and supports us to live the light we are as a Son of God, it seems that we vehemently seek externally only to validate the illusion and the comfort we are choosing to live in, to avoid feeling our resistance to the responsibility we all hold to live and reflect our divine innate Godliness.
‘“Anyone that chooses to put love for themselves, their body and their light will be saved by themselves and in doing so will truly give love to others. It is the fear of your own light that you fight” he responded lightly, unperturbed.’ These are such beautiful and inspiring words.
Yes and maybe fear of our true power alongside fear of the magnificence if our light. Totally accepting that means taking responsibility and having accountability for all of our choices, something many don’t willingly choose as yet.
Great expose of the eternal search outside ourselves for all we carry within. A total distraction for the Gods we are.
It certainly is an insidious game that we play in order to not live the light of God we are here to live.
Yes, we calibrate and adjust ourselves to ‘fit in’ to what is outside of us rather than live from our connection within.
‘“Anyone that chooses to put love for themselves, their body and their light will be saved by themselves and in doing so will truly give love to others. It is the fear of your own light that you fight” There are now hundreds of role models world-wide who are living their true light living as the Sons fo God that we all are.
I really love this. It makes taking responsibility for how much you care for yourself much more about the all, and the macro rather than the micro.
An awesome man living and claiming all we are; the living Son’s of God.
Living every day with joy, vitality, and natural energy.. this is a way of living that is so natural to us, such a known feeling in our bodies, yet we often do everything we can to avoid it and distract ourselves from it, believing that what’s ‘out there’ can somehow satiate the emptiness that we feel when we turn away from what’s already within us.
Its such a simple thing on our Grand To Do List, and yet it is everything… and reflects how simple it can be for others.
The truth is we are all the Messiah, because as it is going to take all of us to bring love to this world.
We want to think that there is something special in The One but not to hear that there is something special about us all. The myth of The One is the perfect alibi to be irresponsible, rejecting divinity.
It is so true about how we search for an answer that confirms what we have already chosen to believe – and if that is how ‘right’ is qualified, how flimsy is that?
We have had so many teachers across the ages present the truth, instead of thinking about it, discussing, or arguing we just need to get on with living it. We know what’s true from the outcomes of what it’s like to live the truths. How the truth translates to life is all the evidence we need.
A very close observation of us all here on earth waiting for something extraordinary, but not seeing it when it is before us because it comes in a different way than we pictured and find comfortable.
This blog sure puts in perspective how the only ones that have gotten in the way of humanity living with harmony and joy are ourselves. As a whole, when we choose to ignore the consistent messages of great teachers throughout history like Jesus, Siddhartha Gautama, and presently Serge Benhayon, who has continued to remind us all that we are The One that we are waiting for.
The game is up, its up to us well and truly and there is no where to hide when you have come face to face with someone walking there truth. What you do next really is up to you and often we can make very poor choices at that point and run away, bury our heads, walk just near but never in truth. So many ways to avoid the simple fact that we are sons of God.
” They make these choices because each of them accepted that ‘they are a son of God’ and there is no better time to start living that fact than right now. ” Yes realised sons of God , for us all to see and accept as the truth we all also carry and have the choice to live or not.
That is : we are all God’s acting like ungods, are along the lines of what Serge Benhayon has presented previously. That is so true; if I look at it for myself.. understanding how I had rather give my power away and waiting for another to save or fix the problem, instead of feeling into my own power and living that. Which comes down to accepting that I am a God, and that I have acted like I was not. Beautiful piece, were we see that demands do not work, neither waiting for a messiah, it needs to come from within us.
Living in the harmony of divinity in a world of recognition and identity, how fun and inspiring, yet how powerful and healing.
Beautifully addresses a form of relationship we; society, have with religion.
This blog has reminded me of the fact that, at the time we are hearing the words of genius, or seeing the work of someone ahead of their time, we often dismiss them at the time and then later on they are seen for what they did.
This blog holds a huge power, because it empowers all of us (humanity) to live in a way that we actually know who we are and where we come from. And that we in fact are a Son of God and that it is not the illusion we have made it to be after all.. And so coming back to who we are exposes everything we have lived that was this not. Perfectly so. Thank you.
It’s interesting that I have, like so many, cried out for God to help me when all along I’ve, like so many, have ignored the fact I am divine and have created my life to be as it is through my free will. No one but me can retrace my steps and choose another quality from which to live. No one but me can walk each step purposefully back to expressing the divine through me. God loves me so much I’m not rescued (despite many a cry for Him to do so when younger) or robbed from choosing to walk my path of return back to glory, with humbleness. I may trot off in the wrong direction many times but I can’t deny it’s there.
It seems we do not like the message that we are our own saviour. We can keep shooting the messenger but it won’t change the message.
The message is simple – we have everything we need within us, and yet we still choose to search outside of ourselves.
Throughout the ages there have been many sages that have spoken the truth of who we are. That we do not listen is indicative of the illusion we have chosen to shroud ourselves in and from this point pursue a wayward course that leaves us greatly depleted by virtue of us not living in connection with our innate divinity – the love, truth and joy we each in essence are.
Every movement I make in reaction to myself and in life I am essentially saying I don’t want to be a son of God and the reactions can be ever so subtle in the denial.
I can feel how I am holding on to being an individual and this blog takes me deeper. It is beginning to make me realise the areas of my life where there is more resistance eg.seeking the identification in mothering and how this plays out in my life. It makes me feel sad but the sadness comes up simply because of the choices I have made to align to being an individual and the seeking of recognition I have wanted.
Awesome Joel, this is just so spot on! We complicate everything to hold on to our individuality when in truth it is simplicity and trusting what we feel in side that lets us know God.
A beautiful blog stating the very truth of Being a Son of God – that is who one truly is.
“There is no better time to start living that fact than right now” – Absolutely, why wait and why waste a single second of how magnificent life can be beginning right now, this very moment.
Why keep resetting the clock on waiting for answers when it’s all here? I got a shiver asking myself “how can I live in harmony with the divinity that is within me?”
The truth is so simple and the message from Divinity is unchanging and we all equally have the choice to live in the knowing that we are all Sons of God.
A beautiful expression of the journey humanity will make in different ways until we all return to the love that we are. Thank you Joel
Waiting for anything feels absolutely disempowering. It feels like I am not responsible for my life, but someone else is. Empowerment therefore is being able to feel the confirmation from our own choices, movements and expressions from our body, and thus whatever we feel impulsed from the body we move according to it. In this process, which there is no perfection, we will learn to feel our way back to expressing deeper and closer to love. There is no way to compare with another in this process, and that is the gold that we may miss if we get distracted and want to fast track or delay, because this relationship is so dearly personal, we have to be open to accept and surrender to it fully–this is a relationship that when we so deeply surrender, it will show us the equal depth we can be with another, it is all that we have ever wanted.
Is it possible that really there is no ” Messiah ” . That this was a cunning plan to get people to give their power away so they could be used for the ill purpose of others , for self gain .
Indeed John, i for one would wait for that ‘messiah’ as it was an easy route to go down, one where I was not needing to be responsible but instead was waiting for someone to save me.. of course I always had a doubt about that so when the truth started to unravel the fact that we are all the sons of God deep down I knew it, i then had to start to live it.
I love your blogs Joel…we have waited long enough that is true, yet it is never too late to embrace our divinity. I sense a monty python flavour here…
How different life would be for most of the population if we lived and embraced the fact that we are the Sons of God from a very young age – an enormous contribution to humanity if we all began to live this everyday.
Love reading your blogs Joel. Your words tell it as it is for what better example of delay is the same question being repeated again and again just with different words?
A powerful and deeply inspired writing Joel. Every bullet point in the dialogue is profound. Today, this stands out for me as a reminder that simplifying life and thus exposing our old ideals and beliefs is key –
“You have created an illusion that life is what you think it is, rather than living simply from the inner heart”, was his simple response.
The mere thought that there may have been many ‘SENT ones’ that repeated a message attuned with the times is something that hardly can be accepted by those who have bought into the idea that it is about choosing among them based on what they have said, which is absurd if you understand that the message is essentially the same. What if they all represented the same source? Why do we have to choose among the deliverers?
Joel I have recently been reading some blogs on the Catholic religion and wondering how Jesus might feel if he found himself reborn and ushered into such an institution as a child. Jesus spoke so simply of love, and importantly lived that love, so I have to wonder if he would be brushed aside should he now enter and question what institutionalised religion has done with his life and wisdom.
We seem to want to put people above us or below us as if being equal doesn’t work and isn’t true. When we start to allow a deeper connection with each other we find out that what makes us tick is the same thing and that is basically love. All religions espouse it and all people have it we just at times think we don’t and want someone else to save us from the lovelessness we have let ourselves fall in to.
We can pine for a better life, we can push and drive for improved health, but none of these measures alone will ever come close to delivering what we truly need, For it’s not until we are willing to embrace the truth – that we already are everything, a Son of God in our own right, that we are able to let go of the junk and move forward knowing we are great. Why deviate from this when difficulty arises or others address you as a reduced down thing? We have the choice and the power as you show Joel to live from this place of deep knowing every day, every night of our life. Its our birth right.
Lovely to read this again – such a great reminder that ‘everyone is The One’ and as this reminder is brought to the forefront of my awareness so I feel a lightness in my being as I look forward to my coming day.
A beautiful ‘take home’ message; “We are all Sons of God”. It is our choice in every moment to live this ‘already there’ innermost harmony. YES, we are our own saviour. This at times feels it’s too much responsibility to lift myself out of what I know is my truth but what holds my path steady is being absolutely honestly real to actually what I already know is true and always has been inside and to give myself the freedom to let it out.
The illusion, that what we are looking for is out there, is what holds humanity captive on this continual merry-go-round of searching, the fact is we are all the one we are searching for, for God lives within all just waiting to be connected to.
Yes Joel, it is a very different life when we accept the fact we are Sons of God, and not from a theoretical place, nor from a belief that it be so, but from the connection and recognition of the fact of our divinity felt from deep within. What’s even more beautiful is the discovery that everyone else is too… and the evidence of it in most is not so hard to see once you have re-connected with your own.
What a wonderful and playful reminder of how important we all are. I am the one, you are the one and we are the ones that can bring humanity back from its waywardness, we are humanity, our bodies represent a micro-cosmos of the macro-cosmos that we find ourselves living in, we hold the key, we hold the power and Serge Benhayon is a great vocaliser for these truths.
I wonder what it is that we are not willing to accept about being a son of God. Could it be the fact that there are other equal sons of God if there is not THE son of God, or the knowing that there is a way that we are not living but should be living? In other words – equalness or responsibility that individuality is trying to avoid.
When I really allow myself to feel the fact that I am a son of God, I can feel pretty easily I have to change the way I am and make different choices and/or let go of some of the stuff. And this is not even about what that should look like, but the way I feel in my body tells me there are choices that I am not making. So, yes, it makes sense if I on the other hand hold onto a belief that I am not a son of God, then I would be giving myself an ultimate alibi to live a measured life.
I love knowing that I am a son of God and that everyone else is as well. To live that knowing is what is required by all of us.
You know… this blog stayed with me and I return to it again another day… 🙂
What struck me, is that you actually got all the clergy (who had met for many years) to actually AGREE on a ‘right order’ in which to sit in awaiting their ‘messiah’…
I simply cannot imagine such agreement ever occurring amongst those representing our religious institutions as they stand today… More so, it could actually become violent!
“But… no… wait… I WANT a messiah! Everyone said that ‘The One’ would come! I NEED there to be ‘The One’ so that I may maintain my staunchly imbedded refusal to acknowledge what I actually already know… that God would NEVER in His ‘right mind’ create ‘The One’. What He brings to One, He brings to all. Yes, Holy S***, I KNOW I’m His equal Son, but I simply do NOT want to step into the responsibility of living it so. So much easier to wait for ‘The One’ who will take all my (self-created) pains away, really…”
And so it goes…
Gosh, you are a great teller of the parable, ‘commemorative placards’ and all, Joel L… Thank-you
One of, if not the greatest barrier to knowing God is our images of him and our ideas of what he is.
Awesome Joel. I have often pondered what would happen if Jesus did reappear. How would he be received? Has anything changed over the past 2000 years or so? But the key message here is that it is what happens within that truly matters – that it is our inner connection to truth, love and God that is our ‘saviour’. There is no messiah who can save us. What a true teacher can do is show us the way by walking and living that way for us to see in reflection. It is our choice to make and this will forever be so.
What a joy to read Joel. The way you show the absurdity of life and how we skirt around the truth, creating complication is very loving and beholding. Much like God is. Yes to living what has already been shared, over and over and over and over again for literally tens of thousands of year.
Such an awesome sharing Joel. It asks us to consider that there is more to life than what we have accepted and that we have had many teachers over time who have all shared with us the same message. Its almost like we reject this message because we want someone to step in and change it all for us instead of showing us the way and we need to make those changes.
When we live in separation of who we truly are it is difficult to know that we are all the sons of God, yet when we live in connection to the universe it is simple to understand that we are all far more than we appear to be.
The truth is in the Livingness and available to us all – when this choice is made there are no divisions only connection and some awesome reflections of what love truly is.
We have been given everything we need to return to living in the responsibility of being all that we naturally are, the fact we run away from this is only proof that we actually are it, equal and opposite force and all that, if we live in so much contraction we must know how to live in harmony. Choices, choices, choices.
Brilliant blog Joel, I love it. I have read this a few times but reading it again this morning is a blessing and deeply, deeply inspiring. Every particle in my body is vibrating on a different level, igniting what I already know…. that I am a Son of God just like everyone else. Simply exquisite, the energy that is emanating from your expression Joel is very powerful and healing.
This is such a brilliant blog as it shows us how we have been given all the answers we will ever need and that all that is needed now is to accept ourselves as the Sons of God. That is one thing that most of us have avoided for thousands of years because it immediately asks us to live the power and divine authority that we actually are.
This blog brilliantly shows the utter absurdity of the way we carry on Joel. If we consider for even just one minute, that each of us on this planet are equal, surely we should stop every business meeting, trade discussion, and senate hearing and say that something is seriously not right with the way we live today. Even if we did nothing else, if we just moved, talked and moved forward in life, knowing we are one and the same – I feel this would bring about a mammoth change. And after all, aren’t these simple facts about Love what all the messengers we have been sent, have always been trying to say?
Becoming more aware of the merry-go-round, usually easy to see in others but not always so easy to see in oneself – helps mark the steps off the merry-go-round and towards freedom from that imprisonment as we reawaken to the light that we are truly from.
Very true Annie C, it takes great awareness, self-responsibility and love to be honest with ourselves and admit where we have been. To choose to get off the ‘merry-go-round’ without regret but a deep appreciation of what we have experienced and learnt, we have the opportunity to show others that they too can make the same loving choices.
I can feel deep within me that I have witnessed similar scenarios to what you have described so many times, again and again. And I was deeply touched by: “God lovingly looked on, allowing man free will to chose how they learnt this simple lesson, wondering when his beloved children would realise the merry-go-round they live on, is of their own making.” It is ironic that we keep being reminded that all the answers are already within us, we have also been presented with individuals living soulful lives across the ages and yet we can use our fascination with ‘more’ and ‘different’ to dismiss the profundity of what is already available to us.
I am just starting myself to understand that all these incredible world teachers have been here to remind us that we are already everything and we don’t need to be like someone else, just be our true selves in full. That is a son of God. There is nothing special about this but at the same time something quite amazing.
It is interesting that we have this belief that there is only one son of God and that we are not equal to that. When in truth we are all that and all have equal communication with God if we so choose.
A delightful blog Joel, thank you… Yet sobering too, for how long have we ignored the simple messages of truth so many have brought us?
“Who are you?”. “I am a son of God”. Who am I? I am a son of God…..We are all equal sonships in our true essence and divinity.
“There is nothing new here; there is nothing different to be said. The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.” – Amen to that!! A choice that we always have and always have had, it just may not have been very obvious to us because of the way we’ve been used to living. Thank goodness for those who reflect to us the truth for us all to remember who we really are.
Hilarious Joel! I love this blog. Makes me laugh every time. Could it be that there is an ageless wisdom that has always been around and presented by many people over time? Could it be that we have already had many messengers sent to arise us all as the sons of God we all are and the real problem is that we have twisted and reinterpreted the messages to suit our own pictures and so we don’t really have to change how we live?
Forever waiting to be saved by someone when in fact the answer to our true salvation rests within – the treasure is by no means hidden, but when Serge Benhayon and many others now, reflect a life lived from the richness within that we all have access to, we are reminded that we too can choose to live this Love, no special qualifications are required.
Brilliant Joel, I could read this every day. It is one thing to hear this and consider it to be true, another to put aside all the conditions and requirements, job roles and aspirations, and see none of it is who we are. I am a Son of God means all the issues, all the games, all the perfection and seeking for a better day, its time for it to drop away. I no longer wish to cling to the remnants of personality when I can know joy and inspiration everyday.
We are all equal in our free will to choose love or to choose everything that is not love but each choice will have completely different results, like living in two different worlds. That which is not love, separates, divides and creates war, and all that is love, unites, connects people, families, societies and humanity.
I welled up in tears reading the end of this feeling the celebration and claiming of those of us who have accepted that we are Sons of God, without perfection, without many a days when we will resist this fact, but in having chosen this path, how our lives have transformed.
‘They are not perfect, but each drop into an old way of being serves to remind them of how amazing they are, rather than confirm that they can’t save themselves.’ This 180 degree turn in our approach to life and the way we support ourselves and each other can come from simply caring for ourselves more gently more often. We begin to appreciate ourselves for who we are, not what we do and the investment in complexity falls away.
Living each day knowing I am a son of God changes everything, it brings responsibility, purpose and a way of living that is more loving and true.
This image of the appearance of a messiah to save us all – it really exposes how we are so reluctant to step up to claim our power/responsibility. Meeting a son of God who tells us we all are sons of God equally – what more do we want? Yet, we continue to deny and resist – could it be because we do know somewhere what we have walked away from so long ago and what it would mean to accept that truth and start living it, and actually preferring to continue burying our heads in the misery stubbornly because we have another image of God being wrathful should we dare admit we had made a choice that was not in alignment with Him?
This blog conjured up a deep sadness in me for how we are offered everything and yet keep repeating the same cycle. I also felt immense joy within knowing that there are many leading the way back accepting that we all are the Son’s of God. P.S Joel, always a joy to feel the expansion within from reading your blogs, thank you.
What an amazing life we can live when we make The Way of The Livingness our own living way in tenderness, honesty, integrity with true joy in our hearts. So simple so true.
Man will one day see that we are all the same equally so, when that will be I would not like to guess! But now we have The Way of The Livingness in our lives and its presenter Serge Benhayon who himself lives exactly that as an example to us all.
Most people are so invested in their own creation that they would not recognise the ‘sent one’ even if he stood in front of them. The path of salvation as taught down the ages has always been laid before us and is available to anyone who makes the call.
Beautiful to stumble again on this great take on how things are in the world. It is a good thing that God is not the angry, impatient, vengeful god that is written in some books, as we would have been history a long time ago. It’s so unfortunate that most of us still choose to be in the dark after all the great messengers we have had through the ages and can’t see that we are all equally the sons of God. I say this not as a judgement as the times in life I choose not to see this fact are still way too numerous.
A very beautiful reminder to return to Joel, of the truth of who we are and the truth we can live together. The kingdom we belong to is found within, and is not of this world that exists outside of us, and when we live from our hearts as the Sons of God we are, we live as equals in the wisdom of our love.
We all have a choice to live the Son of God we are – a Son of God dressed in simple clothing and holding the stillness we are – no greater and no lesser than another. Thanks Joel
Your parable maybe a modern day one Joel but what it hi-lights is that nothing has changed in humanity, The messages brought to us through Buddha, Mohammed, Jesus and many not so well known messengers from God, have been the same throughout the ages, each one bringing their own flavour to the same messages but instead of embracing and living these teachings we want to question and have proof that the person standing before us is the right person, instead of listening to our own inner heart. To know we are all equal sons of God is yet to be embraced by humanity and all the religions of the land.
Why continue to search outside of ourselves for the answers to our woes? Because then we don’t need to take responsibility for the woes but leave them to someone or something else to relieve us. Understanding that the greatest woe of all is us separating from the Kingdom within, is our salvation.
When you look at our world today, just how many of us sit and wait whilst things go on that we know are wrong? How any of us silently keep our peace whilst abuse happens right at our door? How many of us wait around for someone else to act? Like children misbehaving we anticipate that a responsible adult will come and clear up this unruly mess. But every day this leader does not come. And as you beautifully show here Joel the leaders that have been here, have come not to direct or steer but simply to show that our silence and victimhood, our small contracted ways will not and have not ever worked. The only way forward is when we see we are the ones born to act, we are god’s representative on earth and that’s a fact.
Just how tangled and extensive the web of melancholy anguish can be. It cleverly weaves itself around and around, perpetually seeming to be seeking fresh ground, while all the time digging itself deeper and deeper into a hole. For when we step up as in this allegory Joel, and say ‘Yes I am divine and son of God too’, well how can we prolong this idea that the mess and complication is true?
So many of us get caught up in the illusion of trying to the save the world whilst, in truth, we are flapping and floundering like fish out of water.
This thoroughly engaging parable says it all. It makes you smile at how lovingly and humourously Joel has presented the sorry state the majority of humanity has got itself in by refusing to look inside and take responsibility for undoing what has been our own making. It also offers us a choice to swallow our pride and begin to turn this around. Well worth reading over and over to remind ourselves of who we truly are and what we are capable of if we stop giving our power away.
Thank you Joel I just loved your parable, accepting that we all are the sons of God living within us “They wake rested from their night’s sleep. They treat their body with tenderness, communicate with honesty, work with integrity and laugh with true joy. “They make these choices because each of them accepted that ‘they are a son of God’ the only way to truly live life.
I so love your parables Joel. “There are more and more people all over the world who are no longer waiting and have taken their destiny into their own hands.” Yes – and the world is changing – Just as the Benhayon family reflect to me the possibility of living in harmony – so now to reflect that possibility out to others, which gives us all a choice. We are all equal……
Three years later and still profound. Thankyou Joel.
It’s such a game we play that something outside of ourselves can “save us” and because nothing’s worked so far (humanity is still in a mess) we are waiting for “The One” to come again. But, the truth is already there inside ourselves and has already been delivered by many divine messengers – it’s up to each one of us now to make the change to return to a loving way of life. It’s not rocket science or complicated philosophy or religious teachings – it’s simply love that’s needed.
I love it Joel! I am so over joyed to have stumbled upon this blog this morning as not only does it give me a chance to laugh at myself it reminds me of who I am. I love your humour, it is such a healing! Your writings are gold.
Love it Joel… a gorgeous story illustrating that you yourself have also claimed yourself as an equal Son of God. I particularly love your final line… “Dedicated to Serge Benhayon – Not the Messiah but an awesome example of a person living a loving way of being as best as one can”.
If we can accept that we are all Equal Sons of God, no lesser or more than any other then we can see that we each have a responsibility in the way that we live and relate with one another to honour this divinity.
“Anyone that chooses to put love for themselves, their body and their light, will be saved by themselves and in doing so will truly give love to others.” So much common sense, but common sense that most choose to blissfully ignore, and in their chosen ignorance they are denying themselves one of the most important truths that man could live by; and what a different world it would be if this choice was the first choice for all humanity.
Joel it is always a pleasure to read the great wisdom you impart through your stories, written having claimed you too are the one.
Everything has already been written, everything has already been said. There is no holy grail or mystery to solve, just the simple step to come back to the fact we already had it at step one. Yes truth is this simple, yes it can be easy, yes the rest is just a big distraction we are here to see. So thank you Joel for reframing what we all already know. Like the most beautiful mirror you reflect the facts to us all.
The fear of our own light that we fight is a simple and deep understanding amidst this playful and entertaining blog, which was a joy to re-read. How true that we look for ‘wisdom’ and guidance that avoids responsibility, rather than that which we can simply embrace and live.
This is a great example of how we prefer to have an idea of someone or something glamorously saving us than simply committing to the everyday never ending choices that unfold us back to the love we come from. The latter seems much more exiting to the spirit but the soul knowns that it is a simple moment by moment choice by choice return home.
It is like we all know the answer to this quiz, the way forward with this test, the exact solution in this exam. We all had the whole answer to option A, yet we have been spending our time considering and pondering B-Z individually as viable options we could put down. And we can. But ultimately we will all return to see that we simply always knew the truth, that God lives in me and you and the things that we do. Thank you Joel for highlighting so elegantly the puzzle that is not a puzzle at all that puzzles us still.
Just beautiful Joel, the same message of the truth we all know is within us equally, messenger after messenger. Awesome.
This is so true Joel, so entertaining, yet so true as well. Truth lives inside us and there is no one to save us or complete us, only ourselves. And there is a wonderful aspect to this, that no matter what our history, we have the power to change in an instant.
‘…be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you.’ Just what I needed to read this morning. Thank You Joel.
A wonderful, powerful and inspirational dedication to Serge Benhayon Joel, I loved reading your blog;
“Dedicated to Serge Benhayon – Not the Messiah but an awesome example of a person living a loving way of being as best as one can”.
We save ourselves – what a great message! There’s so much we have to learn, but the fact that it’s all in our hands, and the power to change everything already lies within us, well I think that’s pretty cool.
Divinity is within all of us and we need to star connecting to that. We are all equal sons of God , we just need to choose to ,I’ve that way. There is no messiah coming to save us, we have been sent many messages already who have shared many words of Wisdom. Today we have Serg Benhayon who continues to share many if the ageless words of if wisdom.
When we stop putting God on a pedestal – or a fluffy white cloud somewhere up there – and realise that the very essence of the Divine is within our inner-heart and choose to live every moment impulsed from knowing that we and every other human being is an equal Son of God we will know the truth presented by all the Divine messengers through the ages.
We tend to look on at life as a series of problems and dramas we think we should solve, puzzle out and overcome. Yet what you illustrate so elegantly Joel is that life is so much simpler if we but choose to live in tune with the natural harmony of our inner heart,
“Each choice builds from the last and makes the next easier to make.” From experience I know this to be true Joel. At first it can be disheartening when starting to make those choices that honour ourselves because we can expect our lives to change overnight but what we need to understand is that there is a momentum of prior choices that we have to face. Treating ourselves with gentleness and understanding and committing to continually making loving choices in each moment does eventually brings about a life that is full of love, joy and harmony.
Shows how absolutely crazy it is and how much we have invested in needing a ‘special’ someone to save us and have all the magical power in the world to do so. The perceptions we have created taint our sight and justify our irresponsibility of claiming the simple truth that we are already a Son of God with Him within us.
That is a very personal question: “Will the real Son of God stand up?”
And presumed that being a son of God is actually the greatest thing to be, or we could say all that life is about, what is it that this question needs to be asked? Should not everyone jump up immediately and proclaim himself or herself to be the one again?
What is in the way of living a life in harmony with the divine presenting such way in all simplicity for our fellow brothers to be inspired? And yes, that is very a very personal question as in what keeps me from standing up as the son of God.
‘Around and around we go, to do it all again’, wise words from a wise man that are very fitting for this blog.
I can’t help but feel sadness towards humanity when it is so simply put of how wayward we have come. To be walking around which such divinity within and yet turn our backs on all it offers. However the sadness was turned to joy reading the last part, and feeling the awakening of the many who are returning to the love they are.
An absolute gift to read this blog today Joel – I am able to feel so much more than I did the first time I read it years ago when it ‘went over my head’, I must have been in the crowd with my placard… Yes we see what we are willing to see and thank God Serge Benhayon has allowed us to see what it looks like to live as a Son of God on earth.
We are always looking for someone else to do the “work” for us or to prove that they are who they say they are instead of feeling the truth within, feeling our own divine essence. There is no one to “save” us we are responsible for that ourselves. Always a divine read, Joel. Thank you.
Well said Anne, for many years I searched outside of myself for truth and love but it was within me always – all I needed to do was connect to it and to feel the joy of my own divinity.
A great comment Joseph, it is all in the knowing, of that which we know. The kingdom of God is within us .
A brilliant allegory for human history Joel in just a few short paragraphs. It is so true, we constantly seek ‘new’ revelations and excitement, yet underneath we all know we already know that we know everything we need to know.
Maybe it is not in spite but because of this inner knowing that we “seek ‘new’ revelations and excitement” to distract ourselves away from acting on what we know. Otherwise, why do we avoid to put the knowing into action?
Thank you Joel. The Kingdom lot God is within us all and every loving choice reveals this more so.
I have read your blog a few times Joel and each time I am deeply inspired. It reminds me of the simplicity of accessing our inner wisdom and knowing and to live a life filled with joy, love and truth is constantly available to us all. Simplicity through our choices, and a choice to claim that we are a Son of God and to live expressing forth God’s love.
‘Each choice builds from the last and makes the next easier to make. Each choice comes with a loving disciple that holds life with tenderness and grace.’ Just gorgeous, thank you Joel.
I love this part you’ve highlighted Michael. Being more and more aware of my choices I find this to be such an awesome reminder and truly inspiring.
I don’t think I’ve read this one before, but another classic Joel. Even though I have changed so much over the years thanks to The Way of The Livingness but there is still too much complication in my life that needs to be simplified. Thanks for the gentle reminder to keep it simple.
Yes, good reminder. Instead of seeking and waiting for the great solution, salvation, messiah that takes away all trouble (we have created) just start with the simplicity of one step after the other inspired what we know is true and hence right.
This is nice Linda, we get so used to complexity and to life being hard, confusing and painful, so we set up situation to repeat that very cycle. Its a confirmation that doesn’t evolve us.
Joel interesting you say that, I have been caught complexity and relating the same patterns in a cycle. It’s a horrible place to be and it definitely does not evolve you.
Thanks Joel. This blog offers a wonderful explanation of God and the fact that God is within us and therefore in every other person in the world. How much we are aware of this depends on our willingness to observe and listen to messages that God is constantly sending us.
Great comment Helen, as I was reading it I really felt what you shared to be so true. Regardless of our past and present choices we can not escape the fact that God’s love resides in us all. When we fully accept this, our hearts are open and judgment, jealousy and all other harmful thoughts and behavior dissipate.
Helen, it does require a willingness to listen and observe the messages that come from God. God is within us all and constantly sending us messages.
This is a return to this wonderful blog of yours Joel, and a very timely one at that. The more we return to the Livingness of this fact the more we will all let go of the individuality that we see as us now and live for the all.
The inbuilt blinkers we have, will not allow us to recognise an elephant even if we are in its presence. There are so many beliefs on what to expect that if by any chance, how it truly is, does not talk to these beliefs, we do not give any credit to it. This allows us to gauge the power of stories. When a story gets repeated and repeated, we take it for granted even if it is not true. So, stories can be really poison.
Indeed Eduardo, we need to repeat the stories as we do not choose for love instead. To repeat the stories is a way to cover up the hurt we feel from being disconnected from the source we will have connection to if we choose to live from our inner-heart, our connection with the all, the universe, with God. To not feel that we need to ‘poison’ ourselves in order to not feel the hurt of the missing connection with origins we come from.
The dogmas created by man do reduce us to little creatures, because choosing these has disconnected us from the grandness we in truth are. By choosing to let go all the man made dogmas and allow to let my inner heart to be my guide in life showed me more and more, although not always continuously aware, that I am a Son of God, as living in this way and connection with my inner heart brings me, what you can say, magical moments in life that I can accept in full and appreciate as being from heaven, proving so to say, that I am a Son of God equally to all others.
Just simple and beautiful Joel. It’s clear how we have complicated things and it’s simple how we can reconnect to what we already have within us. Yay for God.
I love the fact you have named simplicity and complexity in the same sentence… it’s the ultimate paradox of humanity.
If God truly believes that we are all equal, then it makes sense to me that we are all equal sons of God, that together can rise above and defeat the merry-go-round of life we have created, if we actually live that equality in our everyday life.
Simply becoming aware that there is a choice and then like you say Joel ‘Each choice builds from the last and makes the next easier to make. Each choice comes with a loving discipline that holes life with tenderness and grace. We are all Sons of God!
Priceless, Joel. Life, bigger picture and choices so simply put.
“It is the fear of your own light that you fight” and creating complication is a great weapon.
A gorgeous blog to read Joel, the wisdom and lightness in this blog is a joy to read. Thank you for the reminder we are all the sons of God, and it is time to claim and live this truth.
Amazing blog Joel, it is that simple, we are ALL Sons of God. I too am witnessing more and more people choosing to accept this and choosing to live in harmony and love. This has been inspired by Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine. I too am starting to choose to live the love and light that is within me, accepting all that I am to without perfection just consistency and commitment more and more each day.
“Ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you”. It touched me to read here Joel this conversation we have with God is a very old one, but the truth of it is very simple and has always been the same. What a beautiful way to express love for Serge Benhayon and us all.
You have explained humanity in 2015 very well Joel. What is staring us all in the face is discounted because it is too simple; Serge Benhayon delivers the same message as the Buddha, Patanjali, Jesus, Plato, among many others. I see that it is the message that is the important part, not who delivers it for we all could deliver it if we so chose.
Another well written article Joel, thanks for delivering the simple truth
I really enjoyed this blog. It shows that we can all feel the truth yet we avoid it because it asks us to live lovingly and responsibly instead of seeking outside of ourselves for salvation.
The message is timeless that we are all equal Sons of God. Perhaps it is the very simplicity of the message to know God in the inner-heart and that we have always been seeking more and creating complications to justify why we have not chosen the truth of simplicity.
The Ageless Wisdom has always been there for us to connect to, it is us humans that have delayed the connection and awareness that we all know. If we just stop and be still, the awareness starts to come through – the beautiful wisdom is surrendering us in everything, especially in nature. When we truly start to accept that we are Sons of God, the magic starts to flow as we are able to connect to the truth and stillness within us.
It is a joy that although humanity has for a long time been, and is still, running with pretty much all those patterns of doubt, suspicion and at times aversion to Love and Truth, more and more people are waking up from their stupour, more and more of us are listening, are remembering and are choosing to also walk as the Sons of God that we all inherently are.
Simple truths put into a yet another inspiring story. Thanks Joel.
Each of us is ‘a son of God and there is no better time to start living that fact than right now.’ Joel your story could be set in many different scenarios and play out the same. We have been held for a long time in the dogma that ‘Son of God’ means only one person, in complete contradiction to “The Kingdom of Heaven is within You” and many other straight-up things said by the messengers over the ages, to whom we have not really listened. It’s a blessing to have you among the “people all over the world who are no longer waiting”. Sons of God, we rock!
Until I met Serge Benhayon, I was living the lie that the answer was outside of me or that someone else could make it all better. I was incessantly searching for something and through Serge Benhayon and the Gentle Breath Meditation I reconnected to my own inner heart. All along what I was looking for was me, and the deep connection to something much greater than myself alone, something that we all belong to that I can feel within my own inner heart. By connecting to this place a truth is known and felt, and from there it becomes a choice to live from this place. For me this truth that comes from within me is indisputable because it’s a truth that is equal to all, and includes all equally. This truth contains a beauty that our world currently does not reflect, but if we all reconnect to it and lived from this place what a beautiful love filled world we would have.
Thank you Joel a beautiful piece of sharing. There are some truly amazing comments here and I can relate especially to Dr Rachel Mascord’s comment “The message is so simple that it is its very simplicity that frightens or angers people” I feel that Humanity has been fooled by all the trimmings and not seen the truth.
I can’t find Rachel’s comment that you quote but agree with what was written and what you have shared. It’s made so complicated to keep it unattainable that when the simplicity is presented fear arises of the illusion we have been living in.
A brilliant sharing Joel that highlights the truth of who we are and the complication we create in seeking the truth outside of that which is already known. What a silly merry-go-round we create when it is all simply within us.
Imagine feeling a ‘drop’ so to speak and this being a confirmation “They are not perfect, but each drop into an old way of being serves to remind them of how amazing they are, rather than confirm that they can’t save themselves.” I have been a Student of the Livingness for a while and I get this, I used to view this ‘drop’ as a failure or letting myself and others down and now I can see it for what it is, just part of learning and what it does show me is that I have I built so much that supports me in life, so when I don’t feel myself it shows up and I can work on it. I am learning to be understanding.
Another powerful and beautifully written story exposing equally the simplicity of the truth and the illusion that humanity chooses to ignore it with and thus not live in harmony with the divinity within.
Beautifully written Joel, an expression of divinity, it sums up how we search and seek for a life time(s) for ‘the one’, or something we perceive as outside ourselves, only to discover that we have it all inside of us, should we choose to embrace ourselves and all that we find.
I appreciate this “Each choice builds from the last and makes the next easier to make. Each choice comes with a loving disciple that holds life with tenderness and grace.” I can feel and observe how I build this quality every day. The connection supports each next choice…it is very beautiful to experience.
Not only will the real Son of God stand up, he and she will speak their truth and share their love. I am grateful to have living examples of Sons of God in my life.
I love how you say sons of god Felix as there are so many more than just one, a planet full to be precise, somewhat fewer willing to live as if this where true.
Yes this is where God lives…“There is nothing new here; there is nothing different to be said. The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.” I have reconnected to a way of living that is harmonious, I am feeling this more in my life and it is through letting go of what stimulates the ‘self’ and connecting with what supports the ‘whole’. Letting go of these issues has resulted in a deeper connection, which has naturally lead to a connection with God.
Serge Benhayon is showing all that there is another way to live. All that is required is to be present with oneself in every moment and consciously choose to move with love. To re-connect and feel the truth within and live that in all choices we make. Thanks Joel.
You are so right Joel, the world is like ‘waiting for godot’ (god-oh), they are all waiting some someone or thing outside of them to come and make their lives better. As Greg has said so simply “we are 100% responsible for our choices. We have and will always be love. We are complete.
Thanks Joel. I’ve taken my destiny into my own hands, remembered that I am a living Son of God and realised that I’d better not wait around to be saved, since I am more than well equipped to save myself (especially since its mostly me I need to save myself from!).
Thank you Serge Benhayon, Joel and Helen. Exactly Helen, why wait for a clap of thunder, miracles, a cure for our ills, the heavens to open, a savior, and someone to deliver us from our sins so we can be saved! Our lived stillness that is a Livingness from within is the miracle that true love brings. When we all walk, we can confirm who we truly are in all our power! We save our-self because we are 100% responsible for all our choices.
Yes Greg, and waiting for a saviour is actually a devastating way to live. Taking responsibility for ourselves and our choices is the key to true salvation – and living a life based on love is our scripture.
Love that scripture!
And that love is a living scripture that comes from the inner heart.
Simply beautiful Joel, I love the wisdom you shared in this blog –
“The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.” – Very true, thank you for the loving reminder of the divinity we all hold equally within.
Yes, I love this blog too. It makes you ponder how most of us have been choosing to live in an illusion that keeps us further and further away from truth. To live in truth, connect to ourselves and to God is simply a choice away. All the answers are already within us, we all equally hold divine intelligence and wisdom that is accessible by choice.
What an amazing blog again Joel !!!You said it all and in a way, that everyone can connect to it. Huge and so purely honest.Love it!
Your words touched my heart Joel — these are some I shall take into my day today:
“learning that simple lesson, getting off the merry go round we live on, making choices to hold life with tenderness and grace”.
Yet again a beautiful sharing Joel, that offers so much in it’s simplicity and holds each of us equally in the drivers seat of life. The choice of how we live is up to us, do we choose what is known or do we come back to the truth that lies within. I know what my choice is. Thank you for the beauty of your words.
I love your writing Joel. The answers are there within each of us if we choose to connect to our inner divine self, but many still seek complex answers from outside of themselves.
We are so caught in struggling to find the complex answers somewhere, that we often do not realize, that a very simple answer for everything is always there, if only we listen do our deep inner knowing and our body.
By simply choosing to put love first in every moment, which conquers the fear of our light, we save ourselves. Beautiful Joel Levin.
I have never given thought to the possibility that one could be living in fear of their our own light, I have heard this said before but now that I have read this blog it’s making so much sense to me. I have just taken a moment and I recognise that I have been living this way most of my life. It is deeply inspiring to know that I can choose to ‘save myself’ by living every moment putting love first and to fully accept that I am a Son of God.
It is so ironic that we fear the one thing that can actually save us. What a set up!
Yes, let us all stand up! I love your writing Joel. How many more times to I need to hear the truth before I live it?! I can’t deny the truth of what you have written. I too, like everyone, am a Son of God. The more I live it the more people get to feel the truth for themselves.
‘Serge Benhayon – Not the Messiah’ ..which he points out frequently as he confirms how equal we all are as Sons of God, by treating us all equally..seems as though it’s us who don’t treat ourselves equally!
Kathie this is true, it is we ourselves who deny this truth that we are all equal Sons of God. We want to give our power away to someone who we deem is special, sent, or somehow separate to us by being divine, or perhaps even to those we view as agents for these “special ones”. So much of that is based on self judgement and perfectionism, as if each mistake (or learning) we make on the road to rediscover all that we truly are somehow excludes us from this divinity. The biggest error may simply be not accepting ourselves as equal Sons of God.
Pure gold, “There is nothing new here; there is nothing different to be said. The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.”
You have given us everything here Joel.
I agree, ‘Pure Gold’ indeed. This blog is absolutely amazing!
The unwavering steady, open, non judging, love that is God is something I have felt but are yet to accept but know it is totally necessary to allow the full love of God back in and out of my body.
‘God lovingly looked on, allowing man free will to chose how they learnt this simple lesson, wondering when his beloved children would realise the merry-go-round they live on, is of their own making’. The beholding love of God!
Sad but true: the fact that everything is already in each and everyone of us, is to many, not spectacular enough. They are not willing to accept the simplicity of the inner beauty. There must be a more complex or hard to learn way. In competition things need to be hard to get the best. And here is the hard part: be true with yourself and let go of the belief that you have any control of life. We don’t. Once accepted: that’s the easiest thing to live!
Yes indeed Christina. We can not control anything, we have to accept that.
This blog is huge, it is exposing and yet totally understanding and yes funny, love it. “You have created an illusion that life is what you think it is, rather than living simply from the inner heart”, was his simple response. This quote spoke to me deeply today, can we grasp how much ‘thinking’ occurs over ‘feeling’ in our world. I know since I have opened up to feeling more of life, life itself just makes more sense.
That line resonated with me also, Samantha, and is most likely a fact and a truth that has been presented for, at least, thousands of years. I feel it will continue to be presented until we all ‘get it,’ and, with that, what our purpose is and who we are in truth.
Always the same message until one by one we each eventually wake up and listen, awesome blog again Joel. Thank you.
Thanks Joel for another awesome blog – I had tingles all over my body reading this. The simplicity is there, that the message has always been the same, perhaps said a little differently depending on the era. We are all the Sons of God and no one is going to save us. The way to God is through our bodies and only when we start to deeply respect, love and honour ourselves, that we can start to feel that God resides in the deep stillness that is within us all, each one of us equally, no one more, no one less. God is patient, he will waits until we decide to get off the merry go round.
Very wise Joel, thank you so much for such a beautiful and warm blog. I am also a son of god and each day I love it to wake up – to open my eyes and feel my body. It is a great joy to stand up and go out and show the world who they truly are – the son of god – to share this wonderful knowing with them makes me feel even more joyful . . . so there is not time for resting because it is absolutely worth it to know who we really are – so therefore I love what you describe in your amazing blog.
The true messengers have always delivered the same message throughout the ages. No matter how much we think human civilisation has changed/advanced/developed, no matter how many religions we have, each with their various decreed paths to God, the message from the one who lives as A son of God remains steadfast at its core….as steadfast as the God in whom we all live.
The message is so simple that its very simplicity frightens or angers people. There are no lightning bolts, not cherubs tooting horns, just the commitment to a life lived with respect for self and all others in equal accord…and hence a life of vitality and joy, built on a foundation of love and truth.
Beautifully said Rachel. We are the living Sons of God in whom we all live!
Loving your words here Rachel Mascord and feeling the power in them. The message has always been the same simple one. It is humanity that over the years has decided to not hear it, not accept it or reinterpret it with complexity because the message always asks for responsibility, commitment and accountability in every day life. Something that we as a collective human race are still trying our best to avoid, much to the detriment to our own health and well being.
The simple truth of the Ancient Wisdom, always there being presented to us in so many ways and at so many times throughout history, if we choose to listen with our heart and our whole body. I am listening. Thank-you Joel for this amazing article.
I agree Deidre – “if we choose to listen with our heart and whole body” – the simple truth is right there within us.
I agree to that! what we truly can do on earth is to listen cleary with our heards and our bodies and stay connected.
It is an amazing article, I agree Deidre. Our ears appear to listen for a few minutes, but that is usually how far the message goes; it has been like this throughout history yes. But once the message is grasped, surely it cannot ever be forgotten again 🙂
Listening with our heart and body is the way to bypass the roadblocks of our mental ideas and beliefs.
When we realise that we are the masters of our destiny we realise that the choices we make now determine the quality of life the that we live. That our connection to our love, to the divinity that we are, will lead us to live our glory as equal sons of God. With this wisdom of love that is lived we light the way forth for humanity to see that we are all of this same and equally divine essence. The simplicity of this wisdom has been presented before in many different ways as has the essence of who we are, always been present, within us, waiting to be realised and lived. Thank you Joel for this beautiful and inspiring piece of writing.
Thank you too Carola for your amazing comment. Deeply empowering, gorgeous and full of wisdom. Every word shines forth love and truth, a blessing to read. This also applies to all the comments I have read, truly inspiring and full of appreciation.
What I get from your comment is: Let´s start living as the sons of God that we are and we will realize that we are the sons of God in full. What starts with a potential becomes an experience becomes a reality becomes a way of living becomes who we are restores who we all are.
Yes absolutely – love it Alex. We are not likely Sons of God in waiting… we ARE Sons of God and we are here now.
Another awesome blog Joel, I love how you express truth and share it so beautifully for all to see. A profound sharing of how the simplicity of living the truth of who we are is the way.
“Anyone that chooses to put love for themselves, their body and their light will be saved by themselves and in doing so will truly give love to others. It is the fear of your own light that you fight”
A great example of how we invited we are and keep choosing complexity and the mind over the inner-heart and its simplicity.
You show us once again Joel how simple and beautiful truth is, and how we as human beings go for the complexity and struggle rather than choosing to feel how simple and graceful life can be lived, as we are all the Sons of God.
Joel the way you have expressed is very unique and simple. I was lost in the illusion and complication of life until I learnt that life can be simple if we reconnect back to the inner heart and live from Love, Truth, Stillness, Harmony and Joy. Humanity lacks trust that life can be this simple and that we are all equal Sons of God. This is a huge revelation for people to accept. Keep writing Joel as I enjoy reading your blogs.
Dear Joel, the simplicity and power in this blog is exquisite. Through the work of Universal Medicine I have re-connected to the fact that I am a son of God and that we all are equally so. This part stood out for me today “Anyone that chooses to put love for themselves, their body and their light will be saved by themselves and in doing so will truly give love to others.” Beautiful!
Hello Joel, the age old choice of delay and not accepting that it is so simple. I think this is one of the most classical pieces of writing I have ever read. It has something from everywhere and is written for everyone, a true gift Joel thank you. I really love what you have written here, the constant need for us to have more or to have things proven when all along everything lives within us. Take a look around and then when all else has failed look within or trust that the ‘look around’ has never worked and start now looking within, it’s always a choice but the delay is the game that is played. I for one have had enough of the game, I’m taking my bat and ball and going home, the home that’s within.
You are a truly great story teller Joel,. Love this story. So true are your words and it depicts how we do complicate things and get lost in it, and the simplistic of the truth is just too much. Thanks to Serge Benhayon in living and speaking this truth. With many of us following the same path.
Awesome Joel. A simple example for what it’s all about and how we have known the way for years but have been blinded by ourselves not wanting to take responsibility for what’s going on within our lives. Clearly outlines how most of us are waiting for someone to save us instead of standing up ourselves. I love how simple it is.
I love your writing and the way you write. Just a story? No, sadly a reality on how we have continuously looked on the outside for answers or something to suddenly happen so we don’t have to take responsibilty for our own choices and lives. Trustfully more and more of us are waking up to the fact that we are all equal and all hold truth, love and wisdom within us equally so to.
Joel, a wonderful blog bringing us back to simplicity and unity.
Dear Joel,
The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. This sentence sings resoundingly for me.
Thank you
Absolutely Leighstrack. Joel’s words ring with a resounding truth. I had goose bumps reading this piece this evening.
This blog is so beautiful, it is a call for humanity to act. It is very strong.
Such a delightful read Joel – It’s a challenge to hear that we know exactly our own answers to the questions we have in life, but not choose them. We fight tooth and nail to stick to our old patterns and understandings even though we know that they simply don’t work and make our own life so complicated. But we convince ourselves that we are on a winner, only to be asking the same questions later on. Can we stop this ride yet…I’m getting dizzy.
Love it Joel, so beautiful! and yes now it is lived by many and the footprint is set for all humanity!
Awesome Joel!! How many times throughout history do we need to be told the same thing before we get it?
This is fabulous Paul. I giggled my way through you blog. I wonder what we are waiting for? We are all messiahs but most of us just don’t get it! Messiahs, we are, in our own worlds, inner and outer, that speak and be the truth with love.
Thank you Joel for a great read , yes it has all been said before, but now it is being lived by many and will continue to grow in numbers until it is the norm a far cry from the norm today.
Love this Paul… Maybe it is no longer about words, but what’s lived.
I love this Paul. Now we are offered the reflection and inspiration to embody and live the words and teachings that have been said many times before
This message is offered with such simplicity yet holds no expectation of the reader’s choices in their reflection – a power-full example for me of sharing the truth without having any expectation of how others may respond, that this is no reason to hold back.
I really enjoyed this blog. Well told Joel, for the point has been made clear – we’ve received word from many who’ve lived their truth, to essentially live our truth. Yet, the majority, particularly religious institutions, seem hell-bent on finding someone else’s truth.
Beautiful story Joel, I love the simplicity in which you show how we are and have been shown a lot of signs in how we can live. And that god is within us and we have the choice to live this love of god.
Hi Joel, thank you for this awesome presentation – I just love it and could not get the smile off my face while reading it. I felt the light-heartedness and playfullness and also the truth of your words – what a great bedtime story.
Dear Joel, the wisdom that pours from you through your words resonates with what I know to be true. Thank you for painting the picture so vividly. Your parables are brilliant!
Thank you, Joel. I love it. Funny and profound. The Spartacus moment has already started where one by one stands up and claims that they are a son of God.
Written by one glorious Son of God! Reading this was like watching a scene unfold, I could see it happening in front of my eyes just as you say, and I too know that everywhere people are waking up, finding the answers within themselves and feeling joy … evolving!
Simply beautiful Joel. ‘ but each drop into an old way of being serves to remind them of how amazing they are ‘ love … it really does. Thank you.
Joel, you are such great story teller!! You have the ability to capture in simple language very complex realities! What is awesome about this blog is that it is easy to ‘see’ what you are telling us. What is also great about it is that it conveys clearly two living realities: people who have such mental frames (‘religiously’-made) about God and its Sons that would fight back big time anything that contradict them and, people who have accepted to be a Son of God walking on Earth and see everyone else as one.
Thank you Joel, this is so very beautiful and fresh to read.
I love the way you write, just like I imagine a Son of God would ..with humour and a profound wisdom. It helps me to remember that I am a Son of God too, and all that stands between me and that truth is my choices to behave as such or not. Very inspiring Joel! From now on before I make a choice I am going to ask myself – “What would the Son of God do in this situation?” follow my feelings and see what happens.
Aren’t we a strange bunch, humanity. So many great messengers from ancient times to now, telling us the same Ageless Wisdom about how to live a Soulful life and we just ignore them. What makes us do that, are we a gang of naughty rebellious adolescents who just don’t want to listen to our Elders?
I loved reading this simple but profound little blog, which says so much. Thank you Joel.
I loved reading this again, such a great simple story beautifully capturing humanity and our different ways, ideals and beliefs. I find it interesting that generally, we as a society at large, feel we have to intellectually ‘test’ something to be real as opposed to trusting how we feel.
A story that is so real, in a way it is happening all the time with all of us. The truth can be staring us in the face but if we don’t want it, if it doesn’t fit our preconceived ideas then there are so many ways to dismiss or deny it. Thank you for showing that it doesn’t have to be this way.
Another wonderful blog Joel beautifully expressing the simplicity of living a true and soulful life if we so choose.
And in this world now, with the true support of Serge Benhayon and with many choosing to live this way, it is easier than ever before if one should choose this to be their way.
Very simply, and oh so powerfully said Amina.
Another poignant depiction of how man refuses to accept responsibility for their own choices though the ages.
I found the start of this blog very sad as it shows so clearly how everyone has believed what they wanted to believe and argue with each other about those beliefs and are blind to the simple truth. The end of the blog made my heart glow as it shows that in the stillness of our heart we know the truth that each and every person is, and always has been, a Son of God.
Lovely Mary, we are and always have been the equal Sons of God.
A clever and light-hearted blog that hits the nail on the head. This line felt very poignant for me: “Anyone that chooses to put love for themselves, their body and their light will be saved by themselves and in doing so will truly give love to others. It is the fear of your own light that you fight.” It is crazy how we so often choose such harmful thoughts and actions for ourselves which then get reflected to others, when to save ourselves it is so simple. We just need to choose love.
What a profound message delivered with loads of humour. God already lives within us and we are All Sons of God. And for our benefit, in case we we are slow at remembering the fact, messengers have come and delivered the same message again and again throughout the ages. There IS nothing new to be said, there is no need for fireworks or entertaining our Spirit with complicated tales All we need do is to connect to our Soul who already knows and to live as the Sons of God that we are.
I love the way you write Joel, and how you express with simplicity and humour so that anyone can understand this very profound message. The whole history of humankind and its beliefs and complexities in a brief allegory. The truth shines through it, we can choose to be our own messiah — or not.
An amazing message in a very simple blog. How many people develop a belief that they are not able to save themselves – how disempowering is that?
Inspirational and lots of fun! Thank you Joel. I will ponder “They are not perfect, but each drop into an old way of being serves to remind them of how amazing they are, rather than confirm that they can’t save themselves.” Why not practice being gentle and understanding with ourselves rather than being hard on ourselves for not always getting it right. The truth is there, patient and simple, it is within our own power to change and connect to God within us all. Thank you!
Joel you are an amazing writer that brings the complicated to simplicity. This stood out for me “The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.”
As a child I could never get my head around how the Church could say in one breath, ‘Jesus, the only Son of God’ and then in the next breath, ‘We are all God’s Children’.
Jonathan, I have also been pondering recently how what looks a very empowering sentence, ‘We are all God’s children’, still allows us to see ourselves as small, as ‘the children’, and therefore as lesser than the true divinity that we are. It keeps us away from the truth and responsibility that comes with knowing that ‘we are the equal sons of God’.
The two statements look very similar, and yet the sense that they convey is quite different.
Thanks Joel, this made me laugh and I loved the way it made a serious point playfully – that if we keep looking outside of ourselves for the next solution instead of each of us taking responsibility for our own choices and the ramifications of those choices, nothing will change in this world and we will all just keep moaning that we don’t like how the world is!
It’s so true andrewmooney26. Moaning about anything changes nothing. In fact, it only feeds your struggle of the same patterns and behaviours in the merry-go-round of life even more. A merry-go-round that keeps us trapped in the same exact spin or even worse, accumulating more issues each time we go around.
I really love this playful blog, which potentially could be a real situation. Thank you Joel.
Loved this Joel, a seriously playful reminder that we can all make simple choices every day to be Sons of God, thanks to the inspiration of Serge Benhayon.
A seriously amazing article Joel, thank you. Your words paint a very profound picture, whilst also being really playful. I can imagine what you describe actually happening, because there is this belief that one day someone will appear who will tell us who’s right and who’s wrong in their search for salvation. But what you have beautifully presented is the fact that, no one is coming to save us, because we have everything, all the tools we need, to save our self within us. Thank you.
I agree Rebecca.
Well said Rebecca.
Yes Rebecca, the blog had me pondering how even though I didn’t grow up with religion in my family, I definitely had clear ideas about what God would be like, and what he would do or say, and I was desperately waiting for some sign to show me that he existed. I cant even really pin point where these beliefs came from. This just goes to show how strong are our collective beliefs that keep us from seeing the truth that is under our noses.
I agree, not having a belief in the family doesn’t mean we aren’t affected by the collective ideas of society.
Awesomely said Rebecca Briant. The way Joel writes about God and humanity is very exposing, and in the most gorgeous of ways. How can we not see the ridiculousness of how we have been living? For some expecting someone to come along and change everything with the sweep of a hand – to eliminate illness, suffering and disease, and all the rest of the torment that we in human life have created. Again we are shown how powerful we actually are, and how the choice to be that power is forever in our hands.
Humanity can change and be ‘delivered’ from the suffering it so apparently is in – but as very rightly and wisely shared by Serge Benhayon and the Ageless Wisdom, it comes from each person making each choice to the love they innately are first and foremost. That is the true miracle on this planet when it is lived by another person, a little more each day.
I agree Amelia, and not only are there those who wait for a religious figure to set everything right, there are also those who are waiting for science and medicine to offer up the wonder drug or magic equation that will fix all the suffering and right all the wrongs. And yet in the end the only thing that can clean up the mess we created is us, on the smallest scale in everyday life, living in a way that will positively affect the all.
Joel this is so beautiful and profound, thank you.
Thank you joel, I love the way you wrote this.
I love your words, ‘“There is nothing new here; there is nothing different to be said. The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.” We identify ourselves by what we do or have done – being either proud or ashamed, but neither brings us closer to God. We are already as close as we can be to God, just living as if we aren’t. Wise people have been telling us this for aeons, and now more of us are listening and making that choice.
That is so true, Carmel. I love what you’ve written.
Joel, I loved reading every word in this blog, and then I get to the end and read ‘each of them accepted that ‘they are a son of God’ and there is no better time to start living that fact than right now.’
No better time than now indeed! What are We waiting for???
Wonderful blog, Joel, I especially loved ‘each drop into an old way of being serves to remind them of how amazing they are, not that they can’t save themselves’. How loving is that! Bring on the book.
I love this analogy Joel, your light touch and playfully expression makes this a great read for children of ALL ages-when is the book coming?
Lovely blog Joel, thank you. Really powerful reminder in such a playful way.
Standing ovation from me too, amazing writing… I can see this as a children’s book and one that adults would love it too!. Would love to hear more like this. Thank you Joel.
Wow Joel I love this! Yes waking up is the greatest thing – simply waking up from the illusion, knowing you were in an illusion, knowing you will slip back into it many more times before you truly are free, but knowing always that you will be free through your will be done.
I love it Vanessa. Gorgeous way of expressing it.
Such a joy to read Joel. Thank you. An article for all of Humanity young and old.
Thank you Joel. I love stories and this is the most central one of all. This time around we have been shown just HOW to feel who we are in practical detail. We are being shown by example how to live in a way that confirms and expresses the loving truth we come from. Serge Benhayon speaks and lives the simplicity of our love for all to see and feel… or to resist as they choose.
I love how you write Joel, and in reading this I feel my whole body become still. It is so profound and True and simply exposes how we so often deny seeing or being open to All that is already there just a grasp or breath away. Thank you – Beautiful.
‘They are not perfect, but each drop into an old way of being serves to remind them of how amazing they are, rather than confirm that they can’t save themselves.’
What a turn around, that holds the true potential for us to stop waiting for someone to rescue us and live the fact that we are all Sons of God that already hold the ‘key’.
Thank you, Joel, such powerful words, so lightly shared.
Perfectly summed up Matilda, this is so lightly expressed and so very profound. Yes we have so often overlooked a true messenger of God because we wanted it to look more dazzling or not involve personal responsibility….Joel’s ability to express is simply truely divine.
Isn’t it funny how again and again Truth has been presented in its simplest form, and again and again most of us manage to miss it. After all nothing important can be so simple! How refreshing and wonderful that more and more people are embracing the simple truths and are standing up as the Sons of God that we all are.
Thank you Joel you have truly captured the old, old lazy habit of humanity to want another to save us, to do it for us, rather than standing up, brushing ourselves down, taking responsibility for our woes and seeing it is up to us to save ourselves. And what a graceful example you are of someone choosing to be their own saviour, thank you for your sharing your wisdom. I too have been inspired by the joyful and truly humble example Serge Benhayon offers all of us, as he lives his life as just a simple Son of God.
I liked the part when everyone started to squabble or change what they heard – very astute observation and so very true.
‘Each choice comes with a loving disciple that holds life with tenderness and grace.’ Love this line Joel. Love your blog.
I like this sentence too. Wonderful blog. We are all the one.
I love how you write Joel, you brilliantly expose the choices we make and simply present the way we can choose to live. Agreed, they will make great bedtime stories for children and adults.
I will read this again and again Joel, I love it!
Joel, I was laughing to myself as I read this.. I was thinking “when is the crowd going to get it??” – and they just keep asking and asking for something they have already been given the answer to. Over and over again – not by the same person but the message has always been there.
Pretty much human life in a nutshell (for most) is it not?
Really good fun to read this – thank you for sharing!
Cheryl.
No matter how many times I read this article, it keeps its gorgeous charm. It so gracefully and delicately shows our refusal time and time again to accept Truth even when it is right in our face.
It’s a joy to read your parable Joel… thank you… I will take its profoundness with me into my day.
Truly awesome article Joel. It sums up human life perfectly.
Hi Joel, thank you for writing this timeless article, I love where you say “There is nothing new here; there is nothing different to be said. The choice has always been there – be willing to step away from things you do that give you identity and ask yourself about how you can live in harmony with the divinity that is already in you. That is where God lives.”
What a superb blog, Joel. I love your take on it and find it astounding that traditional religions, who profess to be based on truth and love of humanity, ignore the words right in front of their noses from three of the wisest men. Jesus’ “God lives within you”, the Buddha’s “You have created an illusion that life is what you think it is, rather than living simply from the inner heart” and Patanjali’s “Anyone that chooses to put love for themselves, their body and their light will be saved by themselves and in doing so will truly give love to others” present that ALL of us are sons of God – without exception.
Amazing Judith, I didn’t know that those things were said and that they formed part of the teachings of our main religions. How can we not accept that we are all equally sons of God, when it was being taught hundreds of years ago?
Yes Joel, what an a amazing book that will be, I look forward to it!
What’s great idea, that would be truly beautiful for kids before bed, I will enjoy reading this to my kids, such wisdom in this blog.
Wonderful blog Joel, thank you.
I’m working on it :-).
Great!
Great point Ariana – Awesome Joel – I am looking forward to it!
LOVE it!
Awesome blog! So simply said – filled with truth which resonated in your heart. Let us all stand and claim who we are – Sons of God!
Thanks Joel – another great blog oozing with truth and revealing man’s underlying difficulty with self-responsibility, preferring to blame another for their ills or to look to another to be saved.
What a unique way to tell a truthful story of how we have given our power away, but have always had everything we need right inside all along. I really enjoyed reading this one, Joel. Waiting for the bedtime blog book.
This is absolutely amazing, Joel – thank you so much!
I so love this Joel, I have to read your blogs many times – they fill me with warmth and joy. You paint a very beautiful picture and have a great gift of communicating truth in a simple and profound way – thank you so much. I am a member of the Joel appreciation club.
Nice one Joel. So fun and playful and on the money. I love it so much! Joel’s bedtime stories would be AWESOME!
I love it too Joel!
Very cool! I love it.
Awesome post Joel, a delight to read. Thank you!
What a golden blog! Thanks for the sharing, definitely something we all need to hear.
I love this. I love it. Such a cool article. It hit the right spot exactly. Soo good! Thank you Joel, wicked (as in fabulously great) piece of writing, and most lovely of all, based on truth.
Bravo and encore please. I love what you have described here Joel how we are so quick to judge and shoot the messenger even if what they speak is the truth.
Thank you Joel for expressing so amazingly what we have all felt and known. I reckon you should collect your blogs and publish them as Joel’s Bedtime Stories. No more ‘Once upon a time….’
What really stands out in your presentation is that a dominant force that is currently operating in a large proportion of humanity is about having given up on ourselves and expecting something from the outside to save us from the misery in the world – and the petulant frustration this involves. This force then splits people into two: those that give up on religion and those that embrace a false one. This division gives each ‘side’ a false sense of sticking to something real that the others haven’t got. That force is very clever the way it continually perpetuates itself through division and separation. But it will fall, as you have said, as the real Sons of God stand up.
I love the combination of humor with truth, thank you Joel. This bought back memories of the Monty Python era and it is as crazy….and I guess it is not truly funny when you actually consider we have spent a lot of our time looking for God or ‘our savior’ outside of ourselves when that divine essence is within us and has been all along.
What a stunning blog, over flowing with your joy-full expression, and so very true.
Stunning, such a beautiful truthful expression. Your blogs are a joy to read Joel.
Joel, this is a fantastic blog, so simple but so profound. It is the truth.
So beautifully expressed and a joy to read. It is crazy how we as humanity seek to complicate when it is truly so simple.
What I want to know is when are we going to have a ‘Joel’s book of parables’ to read to our kids as bedtime stories?
Well said Paula, these tales you share with us are pure gold Joel. You expose our human foibles with such a light touch.
Yes when are we going to have Joel’s book of parables? His writing is heaven sent.
I never doubted I was the son of God. The teachings of Jesus confirmed this for me as a child. I felt that he lived in a way that demonstrated, not preached, how we could all live. There were plenty of religions and self help books I came across that gave lip service to this knowledge but I never felt they demonstrated how to live the love of God from within and teach from that place … Not until I had a session with Serge back in 1999. Since then I have observed the most amazing body of work develop not from one man alone, but by many who have been inspired to live and make more loving choices and bring their loving light to the world without fear of retribution.
I loved this so much. A very dear analogy that I hold close to my heart. It feels like the clear and simple nursery rhythm that many children don’t get to hear before bed. Thank you Joel for this lovely gift…your blogs are awesome.
I so agree Josh, and they are calling out to be put into a book for people of all ages. It’s a way of looking at ‘the what has been made’ and disassembling it with ‘the way it is truly’. Bring it on Joel.
I agree Josh, I love the story like quality of this blog, re-reading it doesn’t reduce the fun and beauty of it in any way.
I am standing with applause, It is not when will the Messiah come but when will we/humanity understand it is us ourselves who wear the Messiah badge? Lets stand and claim back Love.
I join in the applause, I am celebrating the joy of me living more as me than ever before and building love, vitality and joy into my life. I love the simplicity of this blog from Joel. He exposes the complexity of our so called experts and how often they won’t see what is right there in front of them because they don’t believe it could be that simple. Anyone who lived as Jesus truly lived would recognise the way forward through actually living love and never just talking about it.
I agree Toni, the searching for the Messiah can stop now because everything we need is already inside of us.
